Cody was incredibly polite from the moment he arrived at my home. He carefully listened to all my concerns about the issue I was having with my unit not powering on. Within minutes of checking the air handler upstairs, he had the AC up and running again! Cody explained exactly what he did and gave me possible reasons why the furnace had tripped. He didn’t stop there—he also checked the outside unit to make sure all the connections and wiring were in good shape.Oh, and here’s the best part—they also specialize in plumbing and electrical work! This company is truly a unicorn. Even though it was a Saturday, they came out quickly, diagnosed, and fixed the problem. They also offer a monthly maintenance plan that covers AC, electrical, and plumbing for just $20 a month—unbelievable!I’m beyond impressed and won’t be using anyone else in the future. Kellen came out to my house for a service and he was outstanding. He put on shoe covers before he came inside my home and was very kind and courteous towards myself and my animals. While he was conducting the A/C service he was professional and thorough he even gave me some pointers on when I should change my filter. Kellen was very knowledgable and explained everything to me. I was very surprised when I went outside to check on him and he was cleaning inside of my unit , he pulled out all of the leaves that had gathered there and even explained why he was doing so. I would highly recommend Kellen to anyone looking for an HVAC service.

Just wanted to say that Daniel and Zach did a phenomenal job on my pipes and shower head, they ran into a few problems because of the age of my house but they worked through the issues and were professional the entire time

Tyler was very polite and knowledgable regarding our AC system. He gave us a complete explanation of his inspection. He also referred a Comfort Expert plumber to inspect our water heater, who came about an hour later.

The things that I loved they did was, they explained every issue in depth until we understood, and to back it up, they showed us pictures and pointed out the issues and potential future problems if ignored. They were prompt, reaponded fast to our call, the were super professional, super courteous, and didnt push additional unnecessary services. These guys impressed me so much that I decided to join their monthly program. And it applies to their AC service, plumbing, and electrical services. Its less than a dollar a day. The company is obviously well ran with the customer being the focus. I could see that in Justin and Ian. They werent fake, I could see they cared about our welfare and comfort. I am extremely disappointed in the “service” I received from this company. The technician spent no time attempting to diagnose the issue with my AC system and instead worked from the high pressure sales angle in an attempt to scare me into a $15,000 brand new system. I called for a second opinion the next day and the honest man who came out cleaned my drain line for $300. The system has been running fine ever since. In fact, when the second guy was looking at the unit inside my house, he let me know the first tech popped a valve and kept it- to further pressure me into buying a new system. He fixed the valve for free. Do not use this company. My AC system did not need a full replacement at all. Trusting these people would have unnecessarily cost my family a lot of money.

Been using them for 4 years and will keep using them for as long as we need air conditioning!Trully a great Company, they work with you, honest, upfront and not pushy. Our propane furnace would not start up on one of the colder days this winter. Justin P. found that condensation had built up and prevented the lighting of the unit. Not only did he fix the immediate issue, he climbed deep into my attic to find the p-trap that was preventing condensate from draining. From now on, I want Justin to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on my two heat and a/c units -- because I know he will take the time to ensure that this equipment remains failure free. Outstanding and thorough --Justin P, Comfort Experts, has my trust.Nov 2024. Kellen performed preventative maintenance on my two dual fuel systems. My comments: Unbelievably thorough, well documented review of both my 8 year old system and my 17 year old system picking up a freon leak and heat exchanger degradation in my 17 year old system. Also informing me of the Jan 2025 EPA requirement of new type of Freon 454 which is flammable resulting in more expensive future systems and elimination of current 410a (non-flammable) system availability. Given parts availability on my 17 year old system is poor, it would be the best time to install the last of the 410a systems before they are gone. --Kellen M, Comfort Experts, is the MAN.

Adam had a very difficult problem to resolve regarding hot water pressure on the hot water master shower. He stayed and continued working until we received very high pressure. I would highly recommend Adam to anyone. He was very courteous and explained the problem in simple terms. He is one of the best plumbers I have ever worked with. I needed my unit serviced last week and I paid them $60 to come out and give me a sales pitch! I then had another guy from another company come out and within a couple of mins he had my unit fixed and running like new. My box had come unattached from my unit and it was blowing my air into my attic! It was a simple fix which should have been done with the first company that I called out. I do not recommend this company!

I contacted this company to get an estimate for replacing my existing communicating thermostat with a smart Wi-Fi-controlled one. They mentioned there would be a $20 charge for the visit, which I agreed to. The technician who came to my house was knowledgeable, professional, and explained the thermostat situation well. He took some pictures and said they would need to research compatible Wi-Fi thermostats for my current system, which is a communicating heat pump thermostat.However, the next day, I called their office and spoke with a manager, who told me that I would need to rewire from the HVAC to the thermostat, with the wiring alone costing $800, not including the cost of the new thermostat and installation fees. I was shocked by the outrageous price they quoted.I did some research on my own and discovered there’s an option to add an internet gateway that would allow my existing thermostat to connect to my phone, eliminating the need for an expensive rewire. When I asked the manager about this, he had no idea and seemed uninterested in exploring a more cost-effective solution.It feels like they were just trying to rip me off with unnecessary charges. While the technician was great, the experience with the management left a lot to be desired. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and go with another HVAC company that won’t try to overcharge you.Message to the management: If a customer inquires about a ComfortNet communicating thermostat, inform them that they can get a RedLINK gateway for less than $80 online and achieve Wi-Fi control without an expensive rewire.

I’ll start off by saying I’ve had positive experiences with customer service, responsiveness, service quality and just overall. Cody recently performed a tune up on my units. He was professional, courteous, patient, and thorough. I give him 5 stars.However since this review is for Hobson Air, it’s worth noting Hobson air does not exist and is one of the reasons why my review is for 3 stars. I called Hobson thinking it was a locally owned small business. Despite a Hobson air website and appearing on google searches, the company was bought by comfort experts and does not exist. Comfort experts manages all operations, is on all marketing material, text messages, how the phone is answered, contracts and even their trucks. Personally I find it misleading for comfort experts to promote themselves through a historic local business in weatherford when it was absorbed and ceased to exist years ago.Additionally My units have a 10 year warranty but I was told it was only 5 and I am required to maintain a costly membership with comfort experts to receive a 10 year warranty.

Cody provided excellent AC system maintenance work. Very polite and professional. He was assisted by Mark, an industry expert who provided great confidence while discussing various future options for us.

Had issue with a contractor boring a fiber optic line in my area ..come to find out the contractor bored through my sewer line going to street Mark and another coworker after working all day stayed until their job was fulfilled and worked well past midnight to do so..they went above and beyond their duties to do so!!! I was beyond impressed with this company, from the initial phone call for service, to the dispatcher who advised me that the technician, Mark D. was on his way, to Mark D.s amazing customer service. Marks knowledge and willingness to explain everything, with patience and a smile on his face, in spite of the after hours service was impressive. He was very thorough, and accommodating. I havent seen this type of customer service in years, and Il recommend this company to everyone. Its no wonder I was referred to them by another happy customer. Derek did a great job taking care of my plumbing issue. The local water provider had raised the water pressure extremely high causing a break in the line and additional problems. Derek diagnosed the issue and quickly resolved the problem.

I am honestly disappointed with my experience. I was scheduled for a window of 10-5 on April 17. They contacted me to tell me no one would be coming as they accidently over-booked themselves. The following wednesday, April 24th, I called as no one showed up, they told me the appointment was not for that day, that it was for May 1. So on May 1st, I received a call from the office at 4:43pm stating they would not get to me until after 5pm. They stated I could continue to wait or be scheduled a different day; I opted to wait. At 6:43pm I received a text stating they were on the way to my home. Again no one showed. At 7:30 I text asking if he was lost. Then a gentleman called me at nearly 8pm stating that he had called me through their computer at 6pm and no one answered. I had my phone close by as I was waiting for them. He stated, with no response they went to the next house. I insisted, no one called me. I then asked if he left a msg (I check my msgs frequently because of my profession), he stated he was unable to leave a msg. As you can see in the screenshot, I received one call and one call only from him at 7:58. Had I received an additional call, it would have a 2 next to it. I then asked when they would return; he stated I would need to choose another day. Another day to stay home and wait for no one to show? No thank you. I then told him to cancel my membership, he then informed me I would be charged the difference of the discount I was receiving- what discount? Ive been paying for you all to NOT service my unit. He then informed me if I did not pay the discount that they would put it on my credit. I am very disappointed with how this all transpired and will be reaching out to the BBB if anything shows up on my credit as I believe I have received a great disservice.

We really like William M. He is great salesman. Dang I hate paying for a new unit but I know we need one. I feel I cant trust this young man. We appreciate that he served our country in Iraq also. The company seems to run better than most ac service companies weve used in the past.

Technician Hunter came out to do the annual preventative maintenence on my HVAC unit, Hunter was very polite, professional and very knowledgable. He is an excellent representative for Comfort Experts, who by the way, have been providing me first-rate service for over 15 years. My experience with Comfort Experts allows me to have complete confidence in recommending their professional HVAC services.

We had issues with our units and all the technicians worked hard to figure it out. If you they didnt know, they would phone an upper to ensure the job was done properly. Much appreciated!

We were misled. They did not clean are inside mini split unit. Blower wheel and condenser needed to be cleaned and washed out not just the outside unit. They told us they did this service when we called now they wont return my phone calls and remedy the situation. never do business with them again

I waited for two days for someone to come out after explaining in detail the problem that I needed resolved, which was a clogged shower drain and when the person arrived, they asked for almost $400 to clean a line. The most expensive company I’ve ever dealt with. I would not recommend them to others.

The maintenance technician that visited my home recently - Mark Dennison - was absolutely outstanding in all aspects! Very professional and very personable. I am very impressed with him and hope he is the technician who responds to my service and maintenance calls going forward. Unfortunately, this was not the case with the scheduling department. After scheduling the maintenance appointment online and confirming the appointment at least twice, the appointment window came and went without a technician showing up. I then called the office and learned that they did not have an appointment scheduled for that day or any other day. The scheduler spoke with her supervisor who instructed her to set up an appointment for later that day which she did. I asked that the supervisor call me the next day to explain why this scheduling became so challenging. Well, it is 24 hours since I made that request and I still have not heard from the supervisor!

As a potential new customer, they canceled 2 appointments at the 11th hour. 11/2 months later the technician was out and did an ok job. Suggested that my 2 units needed new capacitors for a price of $500-$600. Our home is only 2 yrs old and the units are under warranty for 10 yrs. I called the receptionist who was very pleasant and I wanted my questions answered so asked to speak with manager. She refused to come on the line. So I did some research, the capacitors are $17 on Amazon with 5 yr warranty and looked at YouTube for installation and very simple with 2 wires to replace. These companies are ripping us off with their markup. I am disappointed

Mark and I talk intensively on the phone per my absence, told him what I have done and how I maintain the unit and what I expect, he did all testing and everything for the most part checked out and we both agreed on the part I suspected and it he had the readings with early indication of failure, I allowed the work and as of now its working as it should so far but we will continue to monitor the cooling, I wont hesitate to call for a revisit if necessary, mark also encouraged the call if something goes wrong. Thanks again for your prompt attention to my familys comfort and the time to speak with me so I could be engaged with your work.Thanks!!!

One of my A/C units quit cooling yesterday afternoon. Hobson said that they would send someone out as soon as possible. Twenty minutes later, Mark was at my door. Within a few minutes, he discovered that the problem was a defective start-up capacitor. Mark replaced the capacitor, which restored the A/C back to full operating condition. Kudos to Mark for a job well done.

Jordan was very helpful and thorough! He took the time to explain everything and show me pictures of what he was telling me about. He even carried an AC unit from my barn to my house to help me stay cool while I waited for parts. They got to me same day, within hours!

Services/Repairs provided: Slab leak, water leak behind the shower, water heater installation, bathtub/shower fixtures relaced. Mark Watkins and Javier worked diligently to find our water leaks and make the necessary repairs to put an end to our nightmare. These Men were polite, courteous and always arrived at their stated time. I called for an A/C system maintenance appointment and was able to get an appointment pretty quickly. Corrine was very pleasant and helpful on the phone. Kellen and Mark arrived to do my maintenance call and were friendly, respectful and very communicative. I wouldnt hesitate to use them for other service calls.

Less than 30 days after my tune-up my unit goes down. I was told a line was rubbing up against the compressor causing a leak. This problem shouldve been found and remedied during the tune-up which is supposed to be preventive maintenance. I was quoted a predatory $27/ounce in which amounted $7857. My warranty company repaired for $1400 plus service fee. Theyve yet to call me back from last week. STAY AWAY

Cody came out to perform our one year system maintenance on our new system. He asked if he could use this opportunity to train Alex I agreed. Cody checked everything in our heating, I bet he could tell me how many screws were in the system. He told Alex how to recognize the system name by the description. Then they moved outside to the condenser air conditioner and gave it the same work over. When they were done Cody came back inside and gave me his recommendation. Even though it is a new system it wasnt fully protected and he explained why and what I needed to do at a later date.His customer service and the way he presented himself as well as the way he talked to me I would highly recommend him to anyone.Alex very professional and was the type of person I would want on my crew. Unfortunately as of today, 2/9/23, this company has not responded to the several requests by the Better Business Bureau. Comfort Experts Inc./Hobson Air Conditioning put in a new compressor when the one they installed less than 7 years ago was still under warranty. I discovered that the day after they had me pay $8,161 before they would do anything and it was over 100 degrees in Texas. Not once did the technician (who should have known) mention that this should be covered as it was still under warranty. All he could tell me was Just bad luck. That wasnt very helpful. As soon as I discovered that it should have been covered, I called the company to no avail. I then sent a RRR letter to the owner, Mr. Hobson and the General Manager. Absolute radio silence. I called the company several times to discuss and I was told Mr. Hobson was busy, but would call me back. Well, after no less than 8 calls, Mr. Hobson nor anyone from his company has called me back. This is a family owned company and I am certain Mr. Hobson would not like a member of his family being treated this way. This has been very unprofessional and extremely stressful.

Jose was great! We appreciated him taking the time to answer all of my husbands questions. Our furnace was a disaster from the previous owner of the home and he took his time fixing every little detail while installing our new one. He went above and beyond.

Great company! They have replaced units for me, but by far what I like most is they are honest and help show me (show me, not just ask to take their word for it) on maintenance that can be done to avoid unexpected breakdowns. Their techs are always fantastic and explain everything thoroughly.

The technician who performed the inspection of my heating system appeared to do a very thorough job. I watched as he did the inspection. He explained several issues that he found with my heater, fortunately none were critical at this time. The price of this service was very reasonable.

I called Hobson HVAC to have a residential condenser inspected. It took them five hours to get there; however, I do give them credit that they still came the same day. Nevertheless, I signed up for the membership fee and decided that I wanted to cancel my membership after the technician came out and could not identify the exact problem. The technician left and charged me double (they corrected it the next day after I spoke to a customer service rep). I called the next day and informed them that I wanted to cancel my membership; they told me that I had to write a letter to cancel-I just joined the membership the day before. Several days later, I noticed they charged me $59.50 for canceling early. They never told us they would charge us if we canceled early. Maybe it’s in the fine print, and that is on us. The customer service agent did not offer to waive the fee after I informed her that I had the membership one day and was never informed about a fee. After being told we may need a new unit, I decided to try and repair it myself. I will not use them again.

Our home ac unit is having trouble cooling down our bed room. Called and had someone put the next day. He was great, very personable. He found a leak, which we expected, and we are scheduling a replacement. Thanks

Replaced our entire system with them last year and purchased their “Gold” service warranty. Experienced the exact same issue with the new system this year, called them out for warranty service and it still cost $430. The one thing we asked is that the air filter be replaced during the service call. Did not happen. Very disappointed in the product they sold us and the service warranty.

Tyler is very good at delivering bad news! Very nice young man and knows his stuff! Also, Riley Hobson fixed us up with a great new unit and was very helpful in our decision. This is still the best AC company in the Metroplex and will definitely be our 1st choice when we build our new house!

Ian, the tech on service, reviewed my system, provided me with a clear description of the problem and offered options to get my AC system back up and running. He did a great job with a great attitude.

My mom is 88 and has been living in her 94 degree house for 10 days. Half dozen techs have been out but no one has fixed it after she’s spent hundreds of dollars. Now they say it’s a compressor which is not in stock! Really? She’s had to prepay for the product before they even fixed it. She had to pay $2000 for that! She doesn’t have that kind of money. They charged my dad over $13000 for the inside and outside units. He’s passed away now so she’s having to deal with this along with me and my sisters. They’ve really siphoned money from her.

Mark did a plumbing inspection and while he mentioned several minor instances of problems they were quite minor in nature. The cost he gave us to repair the minor problems was absolutely ridiculous! So ridiculous that it made me disinterested in the rest of his suggestions.

Blake was excellent. Professional, knowledgeable, and zero pressure on system longevity suggestions after repairing a bad capacitor and wiring issues. Will absolutely become a repeat customer.

The wife complained about luke warm water in the tub.Within 3 hours, or less Zach Joiner the Service Tech for Hobson AC arrived and in less than 5 minutes fixed the problem. WowIts nice to deal with a company that has knowledgeable service techs working for them.

Did not show up for the first or second scheduled appointment. People are very nice to talk to but someone there is poor at their job.For the second scheduled time I was to be the first customer of the day and ended up not being that.We understand things happen but this was poor communication and management.

Jose M was part of the team that installed our complete HVAC system. The city inspector failed the water heater installation and Jose M came out by himself to take care of the the issue and make sure the install followed code. He was here for about 5 hours and didn’t leave until he knew we had hot water!!! I would recommend Jose M. and Comfort Experts fro their attention to detail and customer service and satisfaction!!! 👍🏾

I used Hobson AC to install a Soft Start device (that I had already purchased) to my 4-ton outdoor unit. Kellen Mullinnix was prompt, very professional and quickly installed the Soft Start, which lowered my LRA from 144.2, down to only 15.6!!! This will allow my generator to easily run the 4-ton AND my entire house now!

Had a tune up done by Hobson a/c back in July and now they tell me that the system was not installed correctly and the evac & recharge was not vacuumed down correctly. If they did the tune up and checked the freon levels then why didnt they catch this during the tune up? the pressures would have shown something wrong! Seems to me that if that was the situation then there would be a problem with a filter / expansion valve and you would also want to do a system flush, replace expansion valve and evac & recharge correctly to solve the issue. I would say the tune was half way done and the original service was left incomplete and caused further issues that I should not be paying for much less paying a 1000 dollars to evac and recharge my house a/c. Absolutely a huge rip off! I did not do it and will never call again! Way over priced!

I had been forgetting to clean my drain monthly and my drain got clogged. Water was collecting and the unit quit working. I called Hobson at 445 and they had a technician out by 6pm. He knew exactly what was wrong and fixed it right away. ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON! Gotta love this company. It was 98degrees that day.

Air conditioner went out and they got to me the same day and made all the necessary repairs. That part was nice.Unfortunately, from that point forward nothing seemed to go well. I ended up going with another company to replace my system.

Complete scam. Don’t walk, run away from this company. Tech did “maintenance” on our admittedly older a/c that was working just fine. All at once we don’t have enough Freon. Had another company come out and look and tell us that most likely the tech drained some Freon. Paid for monthly maintenance fees, two days later air conditioner isn’t working, same tech comes out and tells me I will need to pay an $80 fee on top of what we already paid. Complete scam. Literally could not post my review until now because I was so angry. Company continues to hound me for monthly fees after ruining our air conditioner. Nope. Again, don’t walk, run away from this company!

This was the best service repair call I have ever had. Our condenser was broken and heat was rising in our house. Hannah who answered our call was so kind and understanding. She went above and beyond to get us an appointment. Mark the service technician was prompt, professional and a trust worthy guy. He was very good at his job with lots of knowledge. With in 30min the house was cooling again. We will be able to sleep comfortably tonight thanks to this AWESOME team.

The technicians are very professional and friendly. They let me know what they were doing with each test they performed. Every question was answered in a way that is easy to understand. I am very pleased with their work.

I’ve using this company for the last 8 years. This is my first bad experience with them. I called because my home was having issues keeping up with the high heat. Techs came out, 1 training the other because he was new to the company. The “trainee” I did not have issues with, but the “lead” was something else.They found a leak on the unit like I was expecting, but they felt something else was right with the system. Next thing I know my zoning board is shorted out (no repair part available), and the lead tech took one of my Nest thermostats off the wall and jack with some wires. He put it back together but it had a blinking link. I questioned about the new problem and he omitted he was not familiar with Nest thermostat. The new at least tried to research a resolution to the problem. They felt the thermostat could not be addressed with resolving the zone board issue and “someone” would be out when the replace part was available. At this point I’ve gone from a poor preforming A/C to one that didn’t work at all. They left and 15 minutes later I received a notification that a tech was on the way. I thought my luck was returning.The same techs came out saying they had a fix to at least get cold air into the house. Several more hours pass and now both my thermostats are not working. The lead tech gives up and says someone will be out in a few days but they had other people to go take care of. I could not believe he said that.I called their dispatch and requested that their supervisor come out ASAP, which he showed pretty quickly. Again several more hours pass, nothing is working and the guys look like they are fixing to heat stroke and now my compressor has a shorted out borrow (again to replacement part available) and the service manager is talking to me like this is going to cost me a lot of money.Today’s end result, they guys arrived at 9:45a and were here till almost 7p, My A/C is wired directly to al least put cool air into the house, and my unit has to try and cool a house that is now over 90 degrees Fahrenheit, and I’m looking at needing 2 new boards and possibly need new wires ran from downstairs to the attic of a 2 story house. I will not be paying this company 1 penny to fix this stuff. If I have to pay to have this done, I will pay a different company to hopefully take care of me right.

We were new to the area and saw their advertising. I had them replace our havoc and it cost over $10,000, actually 12,000.:Got the contract and they were very responsive. Now after so many years I replaced that unit for 5,000. Fuller Air was much cheaper and very dedicated to best service. And will give second opinions.Please check with the chamber for other options. You won’t regret it.

Called for a tech for repair of the unit, but he seemed set in replacement from the moment he walked in the door. Not pleased with the fact that he was set on his plan and the unit is still not running and we were charged $200. Would not even discuss what could be done to get it running.Will NOT be recommending this company.

Our AC went out at the height of the Texas summer heat. I called Hobson and they sent Aaron out who had our system back up and running in no time. We couldnt be happier... and cooler. Hobson will be our go-to for all of our AC needs in the future without a doubt.

Been using Hobson for many years and they have served us on multiple occasions. Never had an issue with a diagnosis or price of a repair, until now. Technician was great, very professional but the cost of repair for what was wrong was way too high. I understand that HVAC repairs can be pricey but this was making me feel like I was about to be robbed. I used to recommend Hobson to others, but now, if this is their way of conducting business, Ill have to rethink that decision. If you choose to use them, just be aware of going rates and dont let them overcharge you. A profit is fine, I agree with profits, but charging about 3 to 4 times more than you should is not ok. I hope this is an isolated incident but I fear that this is their new business model. 5 stars for the technician, but 2 stars for the Company.

Connor A was very transparent and nice and talked to me about his military service and current time on the job with Comfort Experts. I thanked him for his military service and being very open and friendly to me. Connor A left me with questions answered and the opportunity to make any future decisions with no pressure. My wife and I were very impressed with Connor A and appreciate the time and effort he took to go over and check out our system. We had no issues yet with our fairly new system but my wife and I want to be prepared if a problem does happen and we know it can. Thank you Connor A for coming by and we will decide which membership is right for us.

August 10,2020. Heat was 100 plus out side. our upstairs was very hot. Thermostat suddenly collapsed. I called Comfort Experts for help. Their Technician Tyler B came in few hours, diagnosed the problem and fixed it quickly. What a relief. Air conditioning is working well in upstairs now.!!

Purchased new under warranty High Seer Coleman 5 years ago. Complained to HAC techs in year 2 and since about loud buzz (so loud you cant sleep in bedroom next to unit and can hear through 3k+ sf house) that occurs 3-4-5 times before compressor kicks in. HAC techs say that is just the variable speed fan. Sounds like cow manure to me. Need A/C work, call someone who really cares.
