Though I understand, Home Depot is a large, corporate style business, turning away any business is just bad. I had a couple of things in my basket, and before I loaded it with larger items I needed to purchase, I went to the customer service desk to ask if they took a particular style of payment. There were no customers in line and 3 to 4 employees standing behind the counter. The girl came back and stated that they do except the particular type of payment I wanted to use however, it was time-consuming and could potentially freeze up the registers. They preferred to not accept it. They stated they were short on cashiers, and it would tie up cashiers. I put what few items I had back and left. I will no longer shop in this place that I have shopped in for years. If accepting a particular type of payment sets you back about five minutes then I would rather be set back five minutes then lose $1200 worth of business.
Everyone at this location knew their stuff. All were eager to help. This will be the only HD we use from now on.
