We have nothing but great things to say about STV! We always appreciate a text about when the service men will arrive. They are prompt, knowledgeable, friendly, and their fees are not that bad. We are members so we get a little discount on our bill. Being in TX I need AC and were always reassured that someone will come out right away. Thank you to John G. & Eric F. Excellent professionals! Highly recommend!

My AC unit has been not working for a MONTH now. The receptionist Ashley has been the only person I have been able to contact for this whole time frame. No-one has reached out to me AT ALL. All correspondence has been from me calling them myself. I have yet to receive factual information on a date for my new unit from warranty being shipped and installed. I have a toddler and have explained this issue several times and have been told several times they would reach out and have yet to. Still waiting on a call back from Tara.

**UPDATE**Frank Reyes, owner, is extremely helpful! He personally came to my house to help resolve my issues. There was a lack of communication between his office/techs and he apologized and ensured everything would be taken care of. After rebalancing my system, I can now sleep cool!(Note, he did not help as a result of this post. He called me to explain hed get the issue resolved PRIOR to this post being published.)Original Post:STV has been to my brand new home 6 times since I moved in in March 2023. (Its July 2023.) Ive been complaining of my AC running non-stop and my master bedroom being exceptionally hot compared to the rest of the house. Each visit, theyve been at my home for less than 10 minutes. During the 3rd visit, they realized they installed the wrong size unit. (A 2 ton instead of a 3.5 ton.) Its been replaced, but my master is still HOT. Neither STV nor my builder are doing their part to help fix the issue vs. take a stab at each easy solution to hope I stop complaining.Today...another 10 minute visit where they turned up the fan speed. Heres to hoping that works...(though Ive already lost all faith/trust in anything they do.)

South Texas Ventilation installed the a/c unit in our home, which mind you is a brand new home when purchased in 2020, and the unit stopped working on Sunday, 03/20/22. I call STV on Monday, the following day, to let them know the issue and that I needed someone to come out and take care of this as I have 2 school aged children and 2 animals, Erica tells me that because I do not pay for their membership that the soonest someone can come to diagnose our unit was on Thursday. We get home Monday evening and I called the after hours technician, he was very polite and advised that I call back in the morning and they would send someone out. I call back on Tuesday to get a technician out, Erica again asked if I paid for the membership, again I tell her no. After I told her that if they were unable to help me today that I would take my business elsewhere, she miraculously had an opening at 2pm. Someone came out, again very polite technician, diagnosed it and said the part had to be ordered and would be here Friday(03/25/22). Fast forward to now 5 days with no a/c, I call to check on said part, now I am told that this will not be here till Wednesday(03/31/2022). I voiced my concern to the builder of the home and was told that she would call to check up on this. I receive a call about 10 minutes later from Erica, stating that she can overnight the part but that it still wouldnt be available until Monday. If overnight was an option, why wasnt this done to begin with?! Is this how they treat all their customers or only the ones that dont pay for their membership? Mind you, this is a brand new unit and is still under warranty. All in all, I 10/10 DO NOT recommend this company to anyone. Their website states Comfort shouldnt have to wait and Dont go longer than you have to without reliable heating and air conditioning-call South Texas Ventilation anytime for fast, reliable HVAC repairs in Victoria, Tx, not true in my case. I was able to get ahold of another AC company in Victoria, Tx and they were at my house in 20 minutes(no questions or sales pitch to pay for a ridiculous membership) to diagnose and had part overnighted for delivery TOMORROW(not Monday), that is how customer service should be!

A/c stopped cooling on Saturday night. I called Sunday morning and they had some one out there in less than 30 minutes. Absolute professional. Diagnosed issue and had house cooling off in no time. It was definately worth the cost considering this Texas heat and them coming out on a Sunday. Thank you Eric for you fast and efficient response. God bless you guys.

Came in and took care of BUSINESS! For them to initially come out was cheaper than the other companies I called. Also, the lady who answered the phone when I called to schedule was very polite and helpful vs the other companies that sounded irritated and annoyed which didnt make me feel comfortable at all about their business! Adam came in that afternoon, ran some test/diagnosed the problem and explained what all needed to be done. He said he needed a pair of extra hands in the attic so he called the office and they scheduled me 2 days later which was fine with me because it wasnt a serious issue. Also, I wasnt charged the first day, they mentioned they would collect after the work was complete! I received a courtesy call 2 days later at 8:15am and Adam + Helper arrived 8:30am and got straight to work. Repaired what needed to be done and showed me everything and also gave me some insight knowledge on basic maintenance. I respect this company and will be using them in the future if need be!!

Came out and quoted a 3.5 unit and house clearly needed a 5 unit other company stated they sometimes do this so ac has to work harder to cool home and can go out quicker and I’d have to contact them for repairs down the line. Not professional!

South Texas Ventilation sold me an AC with a 10 year parts, labor and compressor warranty clearly stated on the STV documentation and the owner told me that he was no longer going to service my AC unit because the product he sold me was having too many problems. Plus during the process damage was done to my home by which STV agreed to pay for but now refuses to.In July 2010 South Texas Ventilation sold me an Amana/Goodman 5 ton 16 seer 2 stage home AC unit. I was told by South Texas Ventilation (STV) that the Amana AC unit was top of the line and what they highly recommended. The South Texas Ventilation documentation clearly states that I have a 10 year parts, labor and compressor warranty and 1 year maintenance. The AC air handler coil leaked Freon around a year after install.STV tried to charge me labor to replace the coil even though STV sold me a 10 years parts, labor, and compressor warranty and 1 year maintenance.South Texas Ventilation owner actually tried to tell me that I was at fault because I did not purchase an added monthly maintenance subscription with them. Again, keep in mind that STV was supposed to maintenance the unit for the first year.(When I tried to purchase their monthly maintenance plan after the repair I was told that the owner would not sell me one)They finally replaced the coil after days of waiting at which I was without AC.At the time of the coil replacement the drain was cracked while replacing the coil. One of the STV techs told me that it was cracked by one the their guys who was trying to put the coil in without waiting for help. The unit leaked water into my duct board and caused water damaged to my sheet rock.I called the South Texas Ventilation owner. He told me that no tech was available and he would get someone out when they were available in a couple of days. When STV finally came out they said they would have to order a new drip pan.STV came to put in the new drip pan and the pan was cracked again during install.I did not become aware of the crack this time until the hurricane hit and electricity was off for days. When power was restored the AC had to pull so much hot air and humidity out of the home that it filled the drip pan and the leak was major. It saturated my sheet rock causing extreme damage this time around. When they came to replace this drip pan I was told that the AC coil was leaking Freon again!More time with no AC. Again STV tried to charge me labor to replace the coil.At the time the Owner of South Texas Ventilation agreed to pay for the water damage to my home multiple times. I sent the bill to STV and they are refusing to pay.At the time of the last coil repair the STV tech let it slip that the Goodman Amana brand of ACs were known for coil leaks. A quick Google search will verify that. The Owner affirmed to me that he was no longer carrying Amana/Goodman because he was having so many problems with them. He also stated that it was costing him too much money and that he was no longer going to service my unit. He told me I was on my own.I have given STV several opportunities to make things right but they still refuse.

Absolutely the worst professional service and conduct. The service and repair took a week in the worst part of the summer and the tech and owner were very unprofessional. The worst customer service. The tech allowed himself in my home without me being present and when I spoke with him he smelled of cigarettes and liquor. The owner did not want to honor the warranty sold with the unit and defended his tech conduct. It was the worst experience with an A/C service repair company I have ever had. Buyer Beware! service after the sale is a nightmare!

I only gave them one star, because giving them none was not an option. I most definitely and sincerely regret having these guys come out. The tech they sent out smelt of booze and cigarettes, he seem to not be able to function properly. He had not one ounce of manners, Im not sure he even knew what the problem was, he couldnt even give me a straight answer. Needless to say I just payed the service fee and had someone else come out. Ohhh and to top it off I go to my garage and over heard the guy ,who is haspanic, on his phone (out by his truck)talking to his boss it sounded like. He was saying all kinds of racial slurs about me. Geez they should just put a sign on their truck that say we hate white people. I mean for god sake theyve got one white guy in their company photo, way in the back hahaha how diverse. Well these guys are no Kings of AC and would never recommend them to anyone.
