Toms Quality Comfort Air & Heat

For years after Toms installed our HVACs they had issues. Refilling freon every 3 months, pressure issues, leaks, etc. After more than a year of attempting to ascertain the derivation of the issues, we were advised to rip out the sheetrock from floor to ceiling (where the HVAC lines were located) in the hopes of figuring out a reason for the issues.What was found:1. Our 5 ton mandated by manufacturers instructions a 1-1/8 copper supply line. Toms installed 1-1/8 from the condenser to just inside the outside wall of the house. Once inside the bottom of the wall - Toms cut the 1-1/8 and crimped 7/8 copper from there up the wall for more than 16 into the attic - to a location just before it came through the floor to the unit in the attic. At that location, Toms cut the copper again - and installed 1-1/8 to the attic units.So - 1-1/8 to just inside the wall, then 7/8 up the wall to the attic, then 1-1/8 from just inside the attic floor to the units. Had we not cut out a 2 wide x 10 high wall of sheetrock of our laundry room wall - we never would have known and would have continued to experience issues that were costing us thousands of dollars. The copper entry lines into both condensers were not only crimped to go from 7/8 in the wall to the proper 1-1/8 at the outside condensers, but the copper lines at the condensers were crimped together with trash pieces, i.e., 5-6 separate copper pieces less than 4-5 each were patched / crimped together. All of the above not only against manufacturers instructions, but also against code with some of their deceit hidden inside walls.2. The coils that Toms installed for our home were KNOWINGLY recalled for coil leak issues. He installed them anyway. We ended up paying thousands to replace them less than 2 years after moving in.3. Toms piggybacked the electrical supply to the 4 ton condenser via the 5 ton condenser.4. Toms did not use protective grommets for the wiring - so you can see from the photos what occurred after mere months.Once we replaced the entire crimped/patched run of copper - uninterrupted from the outside condensers to the attic, installed a separate electrical supply for the 4 ton unit, installed grommets as well as replaced the coils - all issues ceased.Tens of thousands of dollars to fix/replace Toms faulty work after paying Toms almost $30,000.Pay to have an independent inspector (not a City inspector) check all of Toms work. Better yet - dont use him.

I want to thank Toms Quality Comfort Air & Heat and technician Eric for the wonderful job they did for us. Our AC unit is old and it went out completely. It was the Blower Motor and Wheel. Our first estimate was from a reputable company and the technician said the entire unit would have to be replaced because it was impossible to remove and replace the Blower Motor and Wheel because a load bearing beam prevented him from removing the parts that needed to be replaced. His estimate was several thousand dollars. Two friends had used Toms and highly recommended we have them give us an estimate. The technician Eric came out 3 hours after our call and spent an hour in the attic and was able to figure out a way to remove the Blower Motor and Wheel and put in a new Blower Motor and Wheel and the AC was fixed and is cooling for less than one thousand dollars! It was well over 100 degrees in the attic and Eric was soaked with sweat and had to be exhausted but he got the job done and saved us thousands of dollars! Great job. Our upstairs ac stopped blowing cold, I called Toms and they were here within 30 minutes. Scott was our tech was quick and effecient and repaired our unit. Its an older unit and I was nervous that it would need to be replaced so I am glad they were honest and reccomended the repair. I know the time will come when it has to be replaced, and I will call Toms first!

Tom’s installed a new system in our home about four years ago. We have had some issues with damper motors. Tom’s has been extremely responsive in fixing the problems and stand behind their work. I highly recommend them if you need a new system or repairs.

We have been customers of Tom’s Quality Comfort Air & Heat for almost 10 years. During that time, we have come to appreciate the professional, experienced, and excellent work that this company provides. They have been there for us each time we got into AC or heating trouble. Over the years Scott and Jordan have come to our home and diagnosed and fixed problems ~~ often as quick as they could be available (very inconvenient for them at times). They diagnosis problems correctly, they solve problems, and they take professional care in their work. And … they do this with genuine friendliness that makes every situation so much easier to navigate & resolve. Most recently we had an 8-year-old AC compressor fail. When the manufacturer refused to honor the warranty, Tom’s stepped in and did honor the warranty at their own expense. They replaced the old compressor with a new condensing unit (10-year warranty) and we only paid for labor and freon. Everything was handled with care and speed by Jordan & Eric (a huge help since we were in high summer temps). We hope all the folks at Tom’s are blessed, as they have blessed us over the years!

Many businesses might put warranty work at the bottom of the appointment list. NOT Toms Quality Comfort! Scott was at my home within a half hour of my call. I used Toms Quality Comfort for the first time this past week based on a recommendation from a neighbor. I was impressed to the tenth degree. My technician, Scott, showed up with a great attitude and ready to work. My problem was not as bad as I anticipated it to be. Yet, Scott treated me as if I was his only customer for the day and gave me pointers along the way. I was amazed at the level of service Toms offers. Toms QC has been taking care of my AC systems for about 4 years and I cant recommend them more highly. They are prompt, tidy, reasonably priced and just nice to do business with. They recently replaced a compressor at no cost even though warranty had expired several months earlier. That saved me over $1000.

I have an older house (1982) with 2 legacy air and heat systems. One of my systems went on the fritz and I called Toms Quality Comfort for a service call. The responded the same day and came out to my house. The failed system was beyond repair (startup capacitor leaking, rusted components, heat exchange leaking harmful carbon monoxide into my ducts, etc...) and Tom gave me a real good price on a complete 16 sear high efficiency system. I agreed and his crew arrived the next day ready to perform the replacement. His crew protected my flooring with runners and shoe protectors and got right to work. The complete system was replaced and I was up and running again several hours later. Since then, I have definitely noticed the decrease in my electric bill. Great job Toms! I would highly recommend this company to anyone requiring A/C or heating systems work.

Highly recommended company! Toms Quality Comfort Air & Heat has replaced both of my HVAC systems over the past few years. A thorough bid review process found them to be the most competitive, with the best warrantys (a consideration I just learned was quite important). This week the 5 year old 3rd floor unit quit cooling. Not good for the bedroom floor during the quarantine... I called Toms - Jordan was here the NEXT morning. He checked both systems, and found a bad blower motor on the 3 ton system. To my surprise (and incredible delight), the parts were covered under their generous warranty, and we are now cool for less than $200 of Labor - rather than thousands on a new system. Only $200 for several hours of work ! Jordan was fantastic - polite, patient in explaining needed work, and most importantly - honest. We all know how contractors can lie or up-sell unneeded repairs - not these guys - just honest, quality service. It is truly a pleasure to find that kind of Integrity.

Best AC company in town, they have the highest quality technicians and service they may work Monday through Friday but they will come service on on weekends in an emergency. Cant say enough about them there might go to AC companyfor life.
