Bought 5 ton Trane complete system back in December 22 and was very happy with the installation, performance and price. Kevin was easy to work with and his crews are great. Fast forward to August 23 and I noticed the outdoor condenser unit made a loud clang upon shutdown. Called Kevin and he sent his tech, Ken out to look at it. We turned the unit on and off, checked for any interference with the fan and the case etc. Ken finally figured out the 4 little nuts holding the fan/motor to the top case were slightly loose from the factory. He tightened them and the loud clang was gone! Great job Ken! No charge too.

Just like everything in my life, my AC decided to go out at the perfect timing on a 90+ deg summer Saturday night at 10:30pm right before we need to go to bed. At around 2am I couldnt sleep so decided to check it out and turned out to be the motor run capacitor, should be an easy fix. But oh wait, it cant be that easy. Of course not, it was Sunday the next day! No AC supply store would be open!Well, so I decided to give Kevin (the owner of Discount AC) a call in the morning around 9am. Guess what, he answered my call didnt even sound grumpy and actually asked me to meet him at his store to pick you the capacitor. Got there. Met him with a smile. Bought the part. Installed and BAM! Everybody in my family was happy! Great thanks to Kevin at Discount AC. We need more awesome people like Kevin in this world!

Note: Their hours are shorter than what is posted on Google Maps. They close at 5p weekdays and 1p Saturday. So odd to get abused at places of business, yet so annoying. This place is your typical small time mom and pop A/C supply that is set up to sell to pros that come in every day, know exactly what they want, have an account, and buy thousands of dollars of stuff per week. So, they have little time or patience for the DIY guy that, from their point of view, wants to waste 30 minutes of their time with questions, and then leave with either nothing or a $40 capacitor. But unlike many places, at least they will sell to DIYers. On the other hand English language is in short supply here.Lady behind the counter today had no interest in talking to me. I started to speak friendly like and she cut me off with (verbatim): Yeah yeah yeah, what you need? I ignored that abuse and looked over some of her air vents and since it was closing time she spoke to me again. When I started to explain that I had a unique problem, she again cut me off and dismissed me with Yeah, we dont have your size. There was not one word she spoke to me that was courteous.I understand that pro shops dont like DIYers, but still...would it kill people to be courteous?I gave two stars because they will sell DIY and also I have had two previous experiences here that were successful, but not with todays lady.

I was looking for a capacitor for my a/c since it went out, but none of the local stores would allow me to purchase it without an a/c license. I was able to find Discount AC, and called them up, let them know what I was looking for and the young lady helped me out. When I arrived I was helped right away, she knew where to get my part, and it was a lot cheaper than everywhere else I looked even online. I wish I would of known about them sooner and prevented me from living without any a/c for a whole week.

I am a property manager and order all HVAC supplies from here. Delivery is prompt, and everyone I have dealt with has been kind and helpful. I was very impressed by the effort put into meeting my needs and wants. For example: I was given 3 options for filters from low end to high end and also an explanation on price difference. Prices are fair and service is awesome. Definitely reccomend Discount AC!

Im a HVAC technician that been coming here for awhile. What I like about this store is their great service and friendly atmosphere. Even though they are relatively new, they may not have certain parts in stock yet. However, they will go out of their way to help you get it. Their prices are fair and sometimes cheaper than other HVAC store. Definitely will continue to come here.
