This shop is great! My car was diagnosed and repaired in a timely manner. The owner was great too! I will use them again. By the way John (the owner) is a veteran, so for those of you out there who support veteran owned businesses give him a call!
Bryan was the gentlemen I was dealing with.He was easy to talk to and very friendly. Helped me with all of my questions about my ac. I saw his team moping the show floor and cleaning up at 5:30pm getting ready to close by 6:00pm They still had time to take in my company truck and find the issue that another company couldn’t.Good job guys, keep up the good work.
John was so helpful and gave me the best price to fix my cars heater before the freeze! He contacted me with any updates as well, thank you so much!
CARS PLUS has been taking of my car for 11 years and they are very friendly, let you know what wrong with your car that you may not know. I would recommend them to anyone who looking for great customer service and competitive prices for car repairs. Thanks again for helping me when I needed it most.
My wife took her car to Cars Plus and she was so happy! They did everything they could to make sure she was happy. Returned car within time frame. She was so happy and could not stop talking about how good they were.
This place robs single women, students, and military personnel. There is a sign in this shop that states, “Integrity” and they do not embody integrity. On Monday, my AC went out they charged me $650 for a Diagnostic test and $750 to repair ONE AC line. I was promised on Wednesday it would be done yet they ordered the wrong part. I was promised Saturday everything would be done because the company was going to expedite the part yet the part did not arrive. No one called me, I had to call them. So it took them one week and one day to fix my car. The manager did offer a discount, Uber, and his apologizes however I told him his price was extremely high. He got very offensive and aggressive when I told him the other shops prices were cheaper and they told me he was overcharging me. I felt stuck in this process and because I already paid $857 which included 20% of the part.Lastly, the AC was fixed but when I asked about the part or pictures the manager could not tell me any details (part number, high or low for the AC line, etc). I told him the description on the receipt was very vague and I need to know for future references and he couldn’t tell me what exact part was ordered for my vehicle. I will NEVER GO BACK to this establishment.
I went here a couple of days ago i read that they have 10+ yrs of experience i ordered chrome side molding/ trim online and had them install on my car.. the guy said he charges by the hour ! it took under 30 mins and he charged me 145$ to peel and press on! he would not let me show how i wanted it.. he insisted that he knew by the pics i showed him. i was not pleased with the after look had to come back the next day and take them off.. 145$ Is in these guys pocket and i still do not have trim on my car! I will not be coming back here! Although the front guy was nice, sometimes 10+ yrs doesnt mean exactly that.. more experience is needed because i couldnt tell!
We use them routinely for service and repairs on both of our cars. Dependable, work always completed as promised. They back their work with their word.
The gentleman here were the most honest and nice guys I have met when it comes to an auto mechanic!! They were honest and I didn’t not feel taken advantage of at all! They even took the time to physically show me what was going on. I will definitely be a repeat customer!!
I have came here multiple time to have my 96 ford taurus service. The most recent service was my entire suspension system and breaks job was done. I was very satisfied and impressed to see my 28-year-old vehicle now riding as it was a new vehicle. I will highly recommend to anyone to take their vehicle to this location.
Experienced and knowledgeable staff that provides stellar service. Diagnosed my issue, confirmed with manufacturer the problem was covered under warranty, saved me hundreds of dollars. Offered complimentary ride to and from home.
My husband and I have been coming here for years. They treat me and my husband respectfully and are very professional every single time. They have a fast diagnostic turnaround time and let us know exactly whats wrong with my cars and never pressure me with additional services like other shops do. I always refer my family and friends here, and they are always 100% satisfied.
This is my third experience to this shop and the service is awesome. They really welcome you and try to figure out what it is wrong with your car. Their timeline for repairs is always on point. They get you an Uber while they work on your car.
They help me every time with my auto needs and they are very good with time as well
My car was over heating, they fixed it right away at a reasonable price, very professional, I would highly recommend to anyone needing car repair. This shop is verygood!!!
My husband and I have been customers of C.A.R.S. for many years now. Every single visit is extremely friendly. These guys are honest, knowledgeable, and truly care about your vehicles. I feel they work quick and efficient on the jobs weve had completed. Brian and Jackson give fantastic customer service! Im glad that I have a place that I trust with my vehicle and at great prices. I highly recommend them!
Been coming here for years and will continue to come here. They offer premium customer service and prices you cant beat. While I only came here for a oil change and inspection at my most recent visit, I have used them for more in-depth jobs as well. They are very accommodating and always get the job done in a timely matter. Thanks CARS PLUS.
Without a doubt, CARS on 2920 is one of the best car shops I’ve ever had my car serviced at. I’m usually not one to write reviews but since I was beyond satisfied with their service, I figured it was only right for me to share my experience. About a month ago, the engine in my 1986 Monte Carlo SS unexpectedly blew out while I was driving home from work. I had recently moved here from Louisiana so I wasn’t familiar with or had any experience with any of the shops around. I chose to have my car towed to CARS after reading several of their reviews. Not only did the mechanic properly install a new engine, but he discovered my existing carburetor was not the proper size. Unbeknownst to me, the carburetor had been leaking the whole time. Judging from the quality of work performed on my car, this car shop has highly experienced mechanics. I didn’t feel like they were trying to get over on me or juice me out of extra money just for the hell of it. The manager, Brian Ferrell, is upfront and honest. He made sure to involve me in every step of the repair process. The service is reasonably priced and worth every penny. You won’t be disappointed if you get your car serviced there. I will definitely be returning for future service.
Have taken both our vehicles there for several different things and been very happy with the outcome. Oil Changes - Good. Brakes - Satisfied. Emissions checks - great. Will be scheduling a transmission flush in the next couple months. They do a great job of explaining what needs to be done and come across very honest. I have to be honest, in that I did not check pricing for the brake work they did, but I was happy with the work they did.
Had a great experience this past week when i took my car in to get Check Engine light checked out. They assured me they would find the problem. Dropped my car off and even offered a Courtesy ride to my job. Called me within a couple hours to inform me about the issue (wheel-bearings). Had the repair done as was satisfied with the outcome. Wanted to give Brandon and team a big thanks and to keep up the great work! Your dedication and professionalism really pay off. Will definitely come back for future services.
Great place for car maintenance! Every time I come I am treated warmly and taken care of. I am a small business owner and bring multiple cars to this location, so I understand the importance of customer service. JR in the front is always very friendly and very informative, making sure I understand everything about my vehicles. They are always prompt and value my time as an individual.
I was referred to CARS & so glad about it! I had a great experience, the communication was top tier, and all in all betty is running like a charm. I waited a couple of weeks before leaving a review because I wanted to be 100% sure. I had quite a bit done (suspension, alignment, spark plugs, blower motor & blower motor resistor replaced & im sure I’m missing something) and am satisfied with it all!
C.A.R.S. in Spring has served our family well for 4+ years now. We are always treated fairly and with excellent customer service! They provide a shuttle if we need it. C.A.R.S. has always bent over backwards to give us the best deal for all work we have had done on several cars. The work they provide is warrantied, but I have not once had to use the warranty. We highly recommend using C.A.R.S for your auto repairs.
This place was amazing!! We were referred by another pediatric cancer family from TCH and Mike was amazing!! He knew exactly what was wrong with my car when he got in it. He brought me pictures to show me what the problem was so I could see it. He didnt try to sell me a whole bunch of extra stuff. He fixed the problem and was super nice! This place is honest and kind! Mike is super friendly and beyond helpful! I would give them 10 stars if I could. A HUGE thank you to CARS and especially Mike for helping this mama while I was stranded in Texas all the way from Alabama and needing to get myself and my two babies back home next week after our last visit with my little guys oncologist before continuing treatment back in Alabama. Mike went out of his way to be sure my car was fixed and he personally made sure we were taken care of! I would literally be stranded if not for his kindness!
Highly Recomend them! Ive been taking my car here for about 2 years, at both the 2920 location and the woodlands location, and have always had outstanding service. Jeremy has worked on my vehicle several times, and is very knowledgeable. Im very greatful that I have found an honest mechanic shop, and is reasonably priced and are willing to GUARANTEE the work they do. In most cases my vehicle was in and out the same day. Thanks C.A.R.S.!
Took my 98 Taurus in for repairs after it started running rough and displaying the check engine light. Mike discussed with me the issue and fix and it was right inside my budget for this repair. They went the extra mile, however, when that solution didnt fully resolve the issue and put in extra work that actually addressed a secondary issue I never even discussed with them. Now the car is running like new again. This is the second car Ive taken in for repairs here and Im consistently impressed with their professionalism, pricing (including the available discounts), and how quick the repairs are. Thanks guys!
Very nice people at C.A.R.S. Great customerservice. I was able to take my car in for therepairs the same day I called. I was indeed pleased with the job they did. If you bring your car in for whatever service, I am sure you will be happy with their work .
I originally visited to have my car inspected after my son referred them. Yesterday I took my Honda CRV in for work. I suspected the starter was going and my front passenger axle was really bad. Turns out I was right and also needed new motor mounts. They were quick to respond to my questions and to inform me of the additional (collateral damage) work necessary to fully fix the problem. There work ethics are top notch and their customer service was outstanding! I am a true believer in supporting small business, and this is why!!! I have definitely found my new mechanics shop. I will also refer my family and friends, cause thats how I roll! Thanks guys, I appreciate your honesty and diligence.Kelly Hall
My experience at C.A.R.S has been great. I have been there a couple of times, and each time was greeted with a kind face and received quality service. At C.A.R.S, you get what you pay for, and you get it a great price. They will only tell you what you need, and if it is something they cant provide, they will direct you to someplace that will take care of you. I will continue to go to C.A.R.S for my automotive needs. Also, Glenn is always helpful, and always has kind encouraging words for the customer
I have been using CARS and only CARS for my vehicle repairs for years. Dennis and his crew have always been very honest and caring when it comes to my cars. They have always gone out of their way to make sure the repairs are done quickly and accurately. I am very thankful for always taking care of me and my cars needs. Will never go anywhere else!
As a single woman, it is hard to find an auto repair shop one trusts. I have been going to c.a.r.s. auto repair for 6 years as well as my son. The staff, Brian, and especially Matt Jackson, have been more than courteous and kind. Even pulling the van into the bay area when pouring rain outside so I wouldnt get wet!...I also appreciate the follow-up calls to see if the van is still working properly, knowing if it was not, theyd be right on top of any problem. I will continue recommending them to my friends. Thanks yall!
I liked the pictures showing that my car was all right
After moving to Spring, I was looking for a mechanic close to my house to take of my older model vehicle. I prefer to have a relationship with my mechanics who work on my vehicles....Enter Bryan and his crew...these guys get the job done and do it well....They repaired my AC when it was 98 outside and repaired my car quickly in an emergency. He is an honest guy and looks out for your best interest regarding my car. Its good to have a mechanic like him when you drive a 1999 Grand Prix that has chronic problemsThanks GuysGrand Prix
Kirt did over and above to help me out with multiple issues and dealing with my warranty company to get my car better than it was being an older car. Would recommend!
I went in for a check engine light. After two days and no work done I was given a verbal estimate stating it is a big problem and will cost a lot of money. I asked for more information and was told it is a lot of work to look up all of these parts. When I finally got a written estimate, it was for$4,595! I got a second opinion from another shop and ended up paying $159. Not to mention the person at the desk and the mechanic were constantly arguing in front of me at CARS, both told me the other guy did not know what he was doing, both told me they did not really know what was going on with my car, yet they wanted me to pay almost $5000! Stay far away, they have a lot of problems to work out. I will never be back!Update- The $159 cost from the other shop was for a diagnostic fee and an oil flush/change. The issue was not the synthetic oil, I have been doing that for the last several years. The issue was the wrong weight of oil was used at the last oil change. No one at CARS ever suggested to me an oil flush, I would have jumped at that option. I was told the only fix was to replace everything, and even then they were not really sure what was going on. I would have felt better if the guys at CARS either tried a simple fix first, or referred me to Ford, rather than an estimate which was also full of things I did not need. Some examples- Serpentine Belt- Found to be fine at the other shop, Engine mounts- CARS said all needed to be replaced, this was also not true. I was quoted $950 for engine mounts at CARS, turned out, all were fine. The CARS staff was way off on this one. Very glad I found another shop!
My fuel pump went out on a Saturday night with my kids in the car, needless to say as a single female I wasnt sure what to do, but since I have used C.A.R.S in the past. I immediately called the owner Dennis. He responded promptly and allowed me to drop it off Sunday and even offered to give me a ride home if I needed it. They got it in first thing Monday morning. They quoted me a fair price and said it will be repaired by noon. Top notch service at both locations. This was my first experience at the Spring location, but I had just as positive an experience as I did at there Conroe location, in the past. I would recommend C.A.R.S to anyone who needs car repairs...Thanks again guys!!
I have never been more pleased with the service and work I received at C.A.R.S! Not only did they work with me but the were absoluteky the most professional and caring team of guys I have ever worked with in my life. I am a struggling single mom and they did everything they could to get my car fixed at a reasonable price I could afford and got me back on the road safe and sound and in absoultely record time! I brought the car in on Saturday after a fairly nasty wreck and just picked up the car today! The were unable to star on the car until Monday of this week and had it fixed today by 2pm. C.A.R.S. will forever be my go to mechanic shop and if you are not using C.A.R.S you are doing yourself a great disservice! Great job Glenn and all the guys :) You truly are the last of the good ole guys..fair price for fair and decent work.
The place was awesome!I needed to get my Oil drain plug removed and replaced because the bolt head was too stripped to remove myself. I tried, couldnt do it. My friends and coworkers tried, couldnt do it. Jiffy Lube couldnt do it.I came here after leaving Jiffy Lube and was helped by Jackson and Jeremy. There wasnt a wait, they got to my car right away. They were really helpful and understanding, nice guys. They got the plug out when nobody else could and even used the oil I had bought to replace it myself. Now I finally have clean oil in my car. Definitely coming back here again the next time I need help or have a questionAnd the lobby is much better than Jiffy lube.
Mr. Mendoza,I want to start this, by letting you know that I have used your repair shop for many years. Ever since you opened it on 2920.I also have had at least 5 cars serviced and repaired numerous times at your shop, including major things like Timing chains andTransmission. (Although the transmission was out-sourced). The mechanic, Carlos, is very talented. This brings me to the recentEvent that has taken place.I called on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at around 5:30 pm looking for some advice and or pricing. My moto is to shop around forEverything. I don’t remember the name of the gentlemen that I talked to over the phone.I proceeded to tell him who I was, what year, make and model of my car is, and what my problem was. To make a long story short,I had a faulty Oil pressure sending unit on my 2004 Lincoln Aviator. I thought maybe it was my oil pump being old school and all.He put me on hold to get pricing and came back to tell me that he had bad news for me.He said if it was my oil pump, it would only cost around $150.00.If it was my Oil pressure sending unit, it would cost me $2800.00. YES, this is what he told me numerous times.I may be a female, but I am not dumb as though he obviously thought. You have lost five cars!!!! And all the people I know, that I would have recommended to use your shop.I don’t know what has happened to your shop, but it was much better off when Glen was your manager.I got the job done somewhere else and including the full synthetic oil change that I needed, the whole job cost me less than $200.00.
Usually go to 2920 location. (They do a great job on my car) but went to the Woodlands location because I was in the area. They were very friendly and knowledgable with my problem. And very inexpensive, compared to dealer price. Replaced catalytic converter. Went to a movie and had lunch. Car was ready when movie was over. But was able to enjoy my lunch knowing it was complete. Now I have two great locations if I need car care. Thanks!
Absolutely nowhere else I rather take my vehicle. The mechanics were very forthright and willing to show me exactly what was wrong and Brian couldnt have been more patient and understanding as these things can get costly. Im recommending this place to everyone for their vehicles. The owner should be proud of his crew!!***Update - Ive had to have my Catalytic Converter along with O2 sensors replaced twice at this shop within 6 months. My check engine light is now on for a 3rd time and its the Catalytic Converter again. I took my car to a couple other shops to get different opinions and they all said the same, the universal parts being put on my car are no good, along with low quality O2 sensors. Im no longer in the Spring area around CARS, nor do I want them to do the same thing for a 3rd time and have to keep taking the time off work. Ive reached out several times to see if my warranty was transferable and couldnt get a call back. I know the CARS staff has undergone some recent changes, but I wish it wouldnt have changed the quality of customer service and it would be great if I didnt have to pay another shop for what this one has already tried to do TWICE!!
I looked up C.A.R.S. online as I am new to the area and wanted to find a great mechanic. Went to their shop and was immediately greeted. Let them know my issues I was having with my car, and left it. Not even an hour later, I received a call letting me know that they had already found out the issue of my car and could have it ready that same day! I am completely 100% satisfied with C.A.R.S. I would definitely recommend going here, I know Ill be coming back if I have any issues!
Had suspension parts replaced on fairly new car. Original quote was much cheaper than dealers, but total cost in the end was about the same. Strike 1. Repair took twice as long as originally forecasted. Strike 2. I wouldve still given them 3 stars after this, until I recently discovered the alignment I paid for Never Happened! New tires were bald several weeks later and had to be replaced ($400). Front Toe was never aligned and still way off (-2 total). I had the alignment sheet too, but new shop I went to said these can be manually adjusted to fall in spec. Just sad really.
C.A.R.S. Plus has taken care of several of my vehicles over the years. Always courteous and honest with me, even if involves a major repair. I had an AC system replaced in my Honda three years ago. When the compressor went bad last week) it was past the warranty period), they worked with me on this and made it right. Couldn’t ask for anything better.
I spoke to Ray over the phone the morning I took my truck in. He assured me that he could replace the U-Joint and have the vehicle back to me the same day as it was my sole means of transportation. He called me later that day to inform me that it was finished. I picked the truck up and couldnt go over 35mph without it feeling like the truck was going to shake apart. I turned around and brought the truck back. He said they would look at it again. I waited and they once again said it was ready to go. I took off down the road and the truck started shaking like crazy just like before. I took it back a third time. He informed me that they were closing and that I would simply have to come back tomorrow. I didnt have a ride home and lived over an hour away. Not only did he lie to my face, but his mechanic failed to actually test the work he did on my truck twice. I then called a tow truck and had my truck delivered to another mechanic. The new mechanic found out that Rays mechanic managed to remove a bearing on the drive shaft that holds a sleeve in place and also didnt install the U-Joint correctly.I returned to CARS today to ask Ray to pay for my tow. He absolutely refused and stated that allowing me to sleep in my truck overnight or inconvenience someone I knew to drive two hours late at night was the acceptable course of action. He also expected me to allow him to further work on my truck after he failed to actually test it TWICE.This is by far the single worst mechanic I have ever encountered. Do not spend your money here. Do not waste your time.EDIT:Your long winded reply isnt really necessary. You failed to install a u-joint twice, you failed to test it twice. Hiding behind your employees isnt an excuse. Thats simply poor management. Own up to your mistakes.
Dennis and the guys did a great job when I brought my truck in to fix my brakes after a competitor screwed them up. The price was very reasonable, and they got my truck back to me in record time. Great service, and I highly recommend for the area.
I have been trying to find a reliable place to take my cars since I moved out here 8 years ago. Finally! I have been going to C.A.R.S. for a bout a year and a half. Started with small repairs where I was given straightforward info on any issues, and recently they did a couple of major fixes to my 1971 Chevelle. They got the convertable top working and the ac finally running along with resolving some longtime leaking issues. Jeremy was the mechanic and Brian was great with all the rest. A very knowledgable crew.
I recently took my 07 Honda Civic in for service ( leaking coolants). I went there base on their high review. I left my car there for 2 days and finally they notify us that it has a crack on the engine block. So we did some research on the Honda civic engine block crack to find out that there was an extended warranty from Honda manufacture. to keep the story short they charged us $460.00 which they said are the 4 hours of work of diagnosed, by far this is the highest I had to pay for a diagnose test, no repair was done whatsoever. I can not imagine how much money they would charge me if they are to do the repair. I am glad to have gotten out of there. 100% sure I wont be coming back. Beware of CARS and high prices overall. Its a one star for me.
I took my car there on 3-16-18. I explained to them that my ac is blowing hot air. Mike the manager, explained to me that he could do a evacuate and recharge a/c system for $153. I agreed. An hour later he told me that I needed a new compressor. He quoted $1862 to get the compressor replaced. $935 for the compressor, $812 for labor, and the rest for supply. I asked him if he could lower the compressor price and he called a couple of his vendor and lowered the compressor to around $700. still very expensive. I am not sure why he didnt give the lower price at the beginning. I asked him how much time will it take for him to complete the whole job and he says 4 to 5 hours. On his office wall it stated labor price $107 per hr, but he wants to charge me over $800. I explained to him I will think about it. He still charged me $153 for the original evacuate and recharge a/c system. I asked him if he recharge my system with Freon at least, and he says no because it would just leak in a few minutes. I asked him why he would charge me for a service that he didnt fully complete and he explained to me thats his diagnostic charge. I would stay away from this place. I went to another auto center and got the job done for half the price.
If zero stars were available it would be the right amount of stars this company deserves! Mike Hayden, the manager, stated hed have an estimate to me within 24- hours, it took him a week, so my car rental had to be extended because of his delay! I gave him a list of items to check and he only checked part of them, so of course, I did not allow him to complete the job. Who would?? But he still charged me full price for the estimate and didnt reimburse me for having to extend my car rental! I tried to call and email the owner, Dennis Mendoza, to let him know how his business was being run and he didnt respond! C.A.R.S. is a joke! They just waste your time and money! Do not do business with this company!
Very polite. Awesome service manager was very knowledgeable on all questions I had and very pleased with the services I received
Had a good experience and John was extremely helpful
This is the second time I have taken my car to C. A. R. S. I must say that I have had a good experience. They always kept in contact about the car. I heard from them at least 2 times in a day. Steve was very helpful with the overall process. I will definitely bring my car here if ever needed.
Steve the manager there is very professional and gets the job done fast! They didnt try to make me fix things on the car that didnt need to be fixed. He explained what was going on with my car so i could understand fully. I highly recommend coming to this place. The entire staff is friendly and professional. I will return here!!
You would do better working on your own car, even if you know absolutely nothing about cars. It was the absolute worst car repair experience of my life but God knows and He will deal with them. Feel free to call for details. Look me up if youre on WhatsApp and I would gladly share the details.
I primarily dealt with Steve, the manager, he was an amazing guy and very professional. The other staff members were also very friendly. The service was quick, fast and to the point service. I will def be bringing all my car needs to them. Will not go to anyone else.
Great experience! Kurt, the manager, was helpful and very knowledgeable. they took care of my issues and Im back on the road!
The most excellent service I have encountered when dealing with anything to do with my car. Mike Webb seems to be respected. Knows his job. Was Kind. Knowledgeable . Quick and treated his employees with the same respect he was shown. In my opinion, that is everything. Great place...great group of greasemonkey s.
I went in today for an oil change and state inspection. The guys there were so nice and helpful! Mike in particular helped me, he let me know about the special on oil they had going on and I passed my inspection. He let me know everything about my car which was very helpful. At no point did they try to sell me on stuff I didnt need, which I fully appreciate!
My experience was awesome! Mike was extremely helpful and kept me updated while they worked on my car. Although I just went in for an oil change they reminded me that my inspection was due and took care of that as well! I will deff be going back!
Wow !! What a fantastic place to get your car worked on. The service is out of this world, always greeted with a smile and a Hi Ms. Snyder Glenn, the man behind the greeting. Im always very happy with the quality work thats done. The price quoted is always the end result. Thank you C.A.R.S. for caring about us the customer !!
Best experience Ive ever had! These guys know what there doing and they do it well. Customer Service to the quality of work was top notch. Free shuttle back and forth to my house. My 13 year old car runs and rides like new again! Thank you!
I had been hearing a grinding noise when I turned my steering wheel. Id previously had my suspension system replaced (front and back), but the new front strut mounts went bad & had to be replaced by warranty-in which case they were replaced with aftermarket Monroe quickstruts at the same location that changed them initially. C.A.R.S diagnosed the grinding noise as coming from the newly replaced quickstruts. I asked if my CV Axles, tie rods, bearings, and steering rack were okay, & I was told they were. The noise we were hearing was generated from the quickstruts that apparently went bad due to being installed improperly. The service tech & manager HIGHLY recommended I go with OEM parts because Ford cars just do not act right with aftermarket parts. I was given 2 quotes for the front struts to be replaced with OEM parts. I paid for my diagnosis, oil change, turning of my front rotors, & an inspection. I was overcharged an extra half hour for the turning of the rotors & told by the manager I would be given a half hour credit in labor charges when I returned for the suspension work.By Friday, I dropped my car off at C.A.R.S for the work. By the end of the day, Mike called me, & I paid for and picked up my car. When I got home I took a look & unbelievably the old struts had been replaced with the exact same aftermarket Monroe struts. I was more than upset because C.A.R.S charged me a little over 2.5 hours of labor at $109/h and $342 per strut-an upcharge I only agreed to because I was under the understanding they would be using OEM parts. The Monroe aftermarket quickstruts they used run $150--$190 tops.I returned to C.A.R.S the next day to speak to Mike about the obvious discrepancy & to request some type of partial refund on the parts & to inquire if Id been credited the half hour of labor I overpaid for. He told me the reason the old struts went out was because they were improperly installed, & that the aftermarkets had a 24-month warranty. He also suggested I ride on them to see how I like them, then I could decide if I still wanted the OEM parts. I told him I wanted a refund because I had already been through too much trouble with the struts. Mike then told me he would replace the struts with OEM, we would be square, & to bring my car in Monday. I called Monday morning early to confirm & was told by Mike the parts would not be in until Friday. I called first (Mike told me all parts were in), & dropped my car off for the repair on Friday. By the end of Friday--Mike said it was not ready, & it would be ready by noon Saturday. I showed up at about 1 pm on Saturday & was given my key (no call).Upon leaving, about a 1/4th of a mile down the road my car swerved to the left then the right, my steering wheel turned 90 degrees, & my stability track repair warning light came on. I slowly eased my way to a parking lot & called C.A.R.S. Mike told me to bring my car back so they could look at it. Very afraid, I slowly made my way back. Driving was very dangerous. The tech took my car to the back and discovered the stability track sensor wire was squeezed when I turned and became loose. He went with me on a test drive to ensure the car was safe to drive. When I got home, I compared the numbers on the old aftermarket quickstruts to the number found on the coils of the supposed new OEM parts C.A.R.S used. UNBELIEVABLY THE NUMBERS MATCHED. The struts appear to be OEM (not sure), & the coils are definitely aftermarket Monroe coils that may have come from the previous quickstruts they were supposed to be replacing with OEM coils from the dealership-if that is even possible. AND, the grinding sound has slowly returned after just one week of driving--not as loud but still there.I gave up 2.5 days of work to get my car fixed at C.A.R.S-not including phone calls and research-only to be misled, scared half to death to drive my car, and to feel hustled. I was told and paid a very bloated price for OEM parts only to be given aftermarket-TWICE. I was really hoping C.A.R.S would stand by their quote of honesty and affordability.
When my wife and I went to C.A.R.S. we were very pleased. We had a knocking noise coming from the front left tire area. They lifted our vehicle and inspected the joints and such and found no problem. They then took to the web to look through customer advisories from the manufacturer to see if our cars symptoms were there. Indeed they were. They printed out the advisory and sent us no our way free of charge. We will definitely take our business back there!
Have used CARS for all of my Families vehicle repairs. I recently had my Fuel Pump (in the Gas Tank) and Filter replaced... Now my vehicle starts immediately first time, everytime... Before I sometimes had to turn it over two or three times. Should have done it along time ago and avoided the wear on my starter. Excellent Customer Service, Explains the issue and recommendations, Fair, Reasonably priced, Flexible, Accomodating quick service. Cant ask for more than that... I would highly recommend.
The techs working here are friendly and knowledgeable. I recently had my Firebird inspection done here, and they were very nice about how they drove it, taking care not to scrape it since its lowered. They are fans of performance cars, Ill be getting my cars inspected here from now on.
I am giving 4 stars based on my previous experience with my front struts. After 2 additional inspections, the service techs finally agreed with me the problem my car was experiencing was bad strut mounts--something that was obviously not taken care of initially. Turns out the mounts were old aftermarket, the springs were old aftermarket, and the struts were OEM.I believe the service techs and Jackson finally fixed my car. Ive driven it for several weeks and the grinding noise has so far not returned. Therefore, in all fairness I had to leave a follow-up review.
I have used C.A.R.S the last two years to get my state inspection and the service has been good. The wait time has also been good it takes about 15-20 mins and they also use a paper floor protector so they dont stain your car. I will be a returning customer.
Hello,Im new to the area since August and my family took are cars to Complete Auto Repair and they were very helpful on showing us what needed to be fixed. I thought that was wonderful that they would take the time to show us. Ive had great results with them fixing my car just lately. More people should take there cars to them they will get the job done.
These guys are awesome!!! Both times I visited the shop I was greeted and helped to the best of their abilities. The 1st time I didnt actually need their service but Sandy sent me in the right direction to get the part i needed to get back on the road(which he didnt have to do but helped anyway just because he wanted to) and he had to call around to a few diff. places. The next time they did my inspection which went great and another awesome guy that works there(although im drawing a blank on his name) not only made sure all my car needs were taking care of but he also introduced me to a possible employer. Like I said these guys are awesome and have good prices. Everyone was polite and efficient. These guys will try to do their best to help you out!
Tell me how I bring in a car running completely fine and not to mention was bringing me everyday back and forth to work. I brought to them and after really should have been simple replacement the next day I get in my vehicle to go to work it doesnt move. And after paying 381 dollars and now missing work and the response I get is theres a 50% chance it wont run. Yeah wouldnt send anymore to these people at all.
Quick turn around! My A/C went out (barely blowing and hot air). C.A.R.S. had my truck blowing cold again in less than 2 hours! Steve even stayed late/after closing, waiting for me to get back to pick up my truck. Great customer service!
Awesome, professional and thorough service as usual. I’ve been a customer for years and will definitely stay one! Thanks!
I took my 2005 Dodge to them this week when the check engine light came one. They worked it in and fixed all the problems and had it back to me that afternoon!! They worked wonders, the HEMI has not ran this well in years! Special mention and thanks go out to Jason for the hard work on the engine diagnosis and repair and to Brian for his close attention to detail and supreme customer service. Thanks everyone!
A gasket in my car blew and JR was such a huge help. Even with answering my grandmas calls(she’s super over protective) with care! I will recommend anyone to this place because they actually care about your car which is IMPOSSIBLE to find these days.Thank you JR! My car runs perfectly now!
You cant get a more personal service from an auto repair shop than at C.A.R.S. Between Mike calling ahead to get me in at a preferred time, to Moses running through the PMI specs with me after the oil change (without any pressured sales), and finally the owner, Dennis, giving his personal charm to make me feel welcomed; you wont be let down. Sending my personal thanks to a group of great guys!
Went here to have my AC checked a month ago and was completely and utterly DISAPPOINTED with my experience! I decided to go here because of all the good reviews but let me tell you right now that whatever those were in the past, they absolutely amount to NOTHING today! they gave me a quote of 2 thousand for ac repairs and was quite shocked at the estimate. Thats almost like going to the dealer for repairs which is the very reason why I dont do repairs at the dealer lol. Anything is better than dealer price is what i was thinking but just to be sure I went to our local dealer to verify the cost...lo and behold, they gave me HALF the price of what C.A.R.S was offering me. Thats A THOUSAND off AC repairs!! I dont know what happened in the past, maybe its new management or whatever, but dont be fooled by testimonials of customer satisfaction or their motto of pride and integrity. Its PURE BS!! If you value your money DONT GO HERE!!
Eric and the team at C.A.R.S were incredibly professional when I visited them this week. They were fair on pricing and walked me through the steps on the maintenance of my two vehicles. Personally I couldn’t imagine taking my family cars to any other place in the Spring area.
Great customer service! Jackson and the technician at the front desk took good care of me. Highly recommend. Their prices are competitive. I can see theyre in the middle of reorganizing their staff yet their focus remains on the customers.
I took my truck in for a state inspection and received great, prompt, freindly service. While I was waiting, in their comfortable waiting area, I was impressed by how they went out of their way to diagnose a suspension problem for a customer that was there for a different service. She also left very satisfied. Thank you C.A.R.S., I will be back. Philip.
My truck didnt want to turn on when I was at discount tire. Auto parts next door told me to try C.A.R.S out because they do a great job so I did. Surprisingly they were also able to tow it to there location. My truck was fixed in a day. Im happy
There are good reasons why customers should take care when dealing with automotive mechanics. Most folks dont understand the complexity of todays cars and cant easily diagnose problems themselves. An obvious symptom like a car pulling to the right should mean an alignment would fix the problem, but a dishonest mechanic might lead you to believe more than a simple fix is needed. The following is a timeline of my experience with C.A.R.S.- Brought my Kia Optima to C.A.R.S. based on good Google reviews and it was near my home- Was told they dont do alignments, but would diagnose the problem anyway- Learned they had sent my car to NTB for alignment while I was out getting coffee- I was told the alignment would set a baseline whereby they could determine if the issue was more complex- After the alignment, the car stilled pulled to the right and I was told I needed new struts and shocks, and likely a Camber Bolt kit to fix the issue- The estimate for all work was $1850.00 (not including the camber bolt kit)I agreed after-the-fact to pay for the alignment at NTB ($145) and the diagnostic C.A.R.S. did on my car ($115), but was skeptical about needing new struts and shocks (I certainly didnt think $1850 was a reasonable price). After some quick research and a few phone calls, I determined that I could find someone else to fix my car. Enter Beck & Masten Kia in Tomball. It took me a few weeks to get an appointment, but they fixed my car in a matter of hours. Heres what they did to fix it:- THEY ALIGNED THE CAR (struts and shocks were fine)- I paid $92 ($59 for the alignment, $19.95 for tire rotation, and $15.95 for some routine scheduled maintenance).Thats a difference of $1758.00 that I didnt have to spend, folks! Perhaps the mechanics at C.A.R.S. were well intentioned, I cant say, but its clear they are inept or worse, crooks. Furthermore, I have a print out from NTB of the initial alignment done and it shows specified ranges that were completely ignored, and before and after alignments that didnt change. What kind of idiots work at NTB? I showed this print out to the mechanic at Kia and he just shook his head and laughed.Heres the lesson folks: ALWAYS DO YOUR RESEARCH before agreeing blindly to pay for repairs that seem expensive and unnecessary. C.A.R.Ss slogan is Welcome back to affordable car care. They mustve taken their cue from the folks who dreamed up the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare)! My advice: DONT BRING YOUR BUSINESS TO C.A.R.S.
I like this place to take care my cars. These stuffs are awesome and nice, and they usually finished my car so fast. I took my cars in there almost 3 years. They are very responsible and helpful, of course, I will bring my cars to this Auto Repair store again and again.
Friendly, professional people. Took my car there to have a headlight lamp replaced. Dealer said it would cost $200 minimum. $900 maximum. Got it done at C.A.R.S. for $120. Also, had my state inspection done there. I cannot give this business a higher recommendation.
Heres the problem with todays younger mechanics. If they cant plug your vehicle into their little computer where the computer tells them what is wrong, most of them cant troubleshoot the problem.I have an older, low mileage, GM truck that I took to C.A.R.S. on 2920 last summer/fall. The A/C wasnt working. They fixed it within a day or two and and I was happy. A few weeks later, my truck began misfiring. Now, to be clear, I dont think the misfire had anything to do with the A/C repair. I took the truck back to C.A.R.S. and they replace the rotor, cap, spark plugs and wires. The misfire returned. So, I took my truck back to them again. This time they replaced the distributor, but the problem remained. After a few days at the shop, Ray tells me we cant figure it out. I asked about all the parts we threw at it and replies with, well, you were going to need those parts eventually, anyway. After the repair, my tachometer is jumping like crazy because of the new distributor.I take my truck to another mechanic who found vacuum leaks, a bad EGR valve, AND THE WRONG SPARK PLUGS. The spark plugs they had installed stuck a quarter of an inch deeper into the cylinder and one of them was completely burned up. Also, once another new distributor was installed, my tachometer stopped jumping. So, I emailed the owners and explained my frustration, providing receipt numbers and pictures of the spark plug size different. Im told by Dennis Mendoz that he would investigate the issue and get back to me. He doesnt. So, I email him again. This is his response..._____, what is it you would like me to do? I no longer have that mechanic employeed. He had made a few other mistakes that cost the shop time and money. So he is not longer with us. What is it that you would like us to do?I replied again explaining that the ball was in their court to make things right and Dennis told me, once again, that he would get back with me. Its now been two weeks. So, Im done with these guys.
Always come here with my car. They take good care of me highly recommend!
AVOID THIS SHOP LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! Paid them to replace the bearings in my SUV. In doing so, they failed to fully tighten the nut on my passenger front side hub. I added new rotors and brake pads the following week myself. But their mistake went unnoticed for a couple of months. 3 months in, Im getting a violent shaking in my steering wheel while braking. And with brand new bearings, rotors and pads, this is NOT supposed to be happening. Took it to my friends at Brake Check to inspect the work that C.A.R.S. did. With the car on the lift, I watched the mechanic manually wobble the wheel vertically by hand as if it were a loose tooth. Was told immediately the front passenger wheel has bearing play as a result of them not doing something correctly. This eventually caused warping in my rotors. Braking with a loose wheel on your vehicle will do that.So back at C.A.R.S., I notice the entire staff has been replaced since my last visit in Dec (I wonder why). Im explaining to Steve, the new manager, my dilemma. Upon his mechanics initial inspection, he discloses to me the error in them not tightening the nut on the hub, fixed that, and ensured me that would fix my problem. He went on to say theyd tested my bearings, rotors, brakes and suspension, and all looked great. I wasnt out of the parking look good before turning around and coming right back in. STEERING WHEEL STILL SHAKING WHILE BRAKING! This time, Steve says, as per the same mechanic, the problem is my rotors are warped. And because they didnt install them, they couldnt be held liable. But just 15 mins earlier, everything checked out 100%! Never have I ever had a warped rotor on any of my vehicles at any time. Especially not 3 months after a brand new install. This made no sense. I voiced to him the only explanation was the wobbly wheel as a result of the shoddy bearing job they did. HE AGREED WITH MY THEORY, but still gave me 15 different excuses as to why the liability was mine and that their error was not severe enough to effect my braking the way it has. Given the mistake did happen, this couldve easily been remedied with them replacing my rotors & pads at no cost to me. I only paid a little over $100 online for the set. Hell, they couldve reimbursed me that amount to buy a new set and I wouldve done the work myself in half an hour!Long story short, this wouldve been a 15-min job for them and the $100 cost wouldve been a slap on the wrist for what couldve eventually caused a very dangerous accident. Rather than take responsibility in this situation (like the Christian company they tout themselves to be), its clear theyre no more honest or fair than any other shadetree mechanic shop that is out to screw you over and get paid in the process. They just lost a loyal potential lifetime customer. My advice: TAKE YOUR VEHICLE AND MONEY ANYWHERE ELSE, BUT C.A.R.S.!!! Even if it costs more, you get what you pay for...unless youre doing business with them. Then youll get less.
Shop with a lot of potential. JR has gone out of his way to help me service my vehicle and has provided multiple avenues to save money along the way. Also Damien provided a step-by-step visual process of helping me understand the diagnostics of the vehicles repairs during the labor process.Thank you C.A.R.S. Plus team,Kyle
This place is a joke, avoid reading the reviews, its for free oil changes if you give them a good review. also they do not stand by there work and blame previous employees and say they no longer work here therefore we cant repair what they broke. they are not cheaper than the dealership and they say the price match repairs but when you go to show them they quote they say then take it there.
I have been to this shop several times for oil changes, tire rotations, and wheel stud replacements. Typical auto repair shop with nice staff and good quality repairs. Labor rate is on the higher side but you get what you pay for.
I look up a new place to get my oil changed because pricing is getting outrageous lately. I found C.A.R.S. and they gave me a great price and quick service! Very friendly and helpful. Thank you! I would recommend to anyone!
Store on 2920 was very quick with my state inspection. Eric the manager was very professional and knowledgeable about my vehicle. I will definitely be coming back with my other vehicle.
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by Glenn (a great guy) and was helped through the process of getting my car fixed right and fast. This is a very good place to go if you are in need of repairs and I will definitely be going back!
A family member of mine referred me and I have nothing but great things to say about this place. The staff was friendly and professional. Took care of my car quickly and will be returning to them again.
We have been coming here for years. They are honest, nice and fair in my opinion. The guys are the only ones I trust with all of our vehicles.
This is a great place! They fixed me quick, for the price they said. Ive been to other places and they add on other prices or fix things without asking you then you have a big surprise bill. Not here. Honest. Great quality work. Fast. I will bring my business here for now on! Thank you c.a.r.s.
Dennis and the crew always take care of my vehicle with fast and friendly service. I trust them to get the job done right every time. 👍 to the shuttle service.
I highly recommend this auto repair shop. They were very prompt, and pleasant. I also received a follow up call to make sure that things were still ok. Thanks a million Brian and Matt :-)
Erik Banegas was very professional and personal. He explained what was tested and needed to be repaired. I will be bringing all my cars here and recommending.
Weve had great experience in the past but they wanted twice as much for battery and installation from almost everywhere !!! New management?? Paid the quoted price to find out it was the battery autozone next time, for free, Very disappointed, wont be going back.
The $15 Synthetic Oil Change is Real! Yall Swing By & Give Them A Try! Mike The (Regional Manager) Is A Very Nice Gentelman & His Customer Service Is Exceptional!
I was very pleased with the brake job Dennis and the crew did on my vehicle. In an industry with a lot of questionable practices and overselling, this is a place you can trust. I have found a home for future repairs,
Great service and great prices. Never met any mechanics more honest. If you need anything done to youre car this is definitely the place to visit.
This place is a rip off. I came here thinking small shop, great service, and honestly some past reviews are great. Not sure what happen, but most of the great reviews are over a year old. I agree maybe new management or new owner. I ended up at a different shop, with same repair and half the cost. Dont waste time at this place...
C.A.R.S. on 2920 has worked on several vehicles for my family. They are fast, fair and flexible. Thanks for keeping our cars running their best.
Great service and people! I have been here 2 times so far and will continue to return. Im never waiting longer than 30 mins for an oil change or state inspection.
Great service. Gave me a ride home and then picked me up again when the repair was complete. Moses and the guys do a great job. My new service center!
Good Customer service. They fixed my car very well. Also waited for me so that I can pick up my car even after their closing hours.
Got a front end alignment done on a challenging vehicle and the results were spot on.
Great service. Great people. Nice and upfront, honest and understand what a budget is. Moses was my advisor. I will be bringing my vehicle here again.
I’ve been going to this company for several years now and they are awesome. Great service and customer care. I highly recommend it for your car care needs.

I am very skeptical of auto repair places but these guys continue to impress me with their honesty and work. Highly recommend.
I took my car in for just an inspection, but the fast friendly service won me over. I will be bringing my car back for any service it needs.
They once took 2 hours to inspect my car. Even though I passed the inspection they found 9 repairs that they wanted me to pay for. I took it to my mechanic and he told me they were unnecessary repairs.
C.A.R.S. Spring has always treated my wife and I with respect and honesty. Good place for car repairs.
Every interaction with them has been fantastic. Will continue to use. They are efficient with their work and courteous with their customers.
Over charged for replacing tie rods. Charged me $649 for what would be $450 from the dealer. Buyer beware.

Manager Mike Hayden is rude, doesnt know what hes doing and took too long to finally fix my car. Hes only out to get peoples money!
Amazing service! Very friendly and effective even on their busiest days.
My wife and i refuse to take our vehicles anywhere else. C.A.R.S. made us feel at home since day one and they really know what they are doing.
