The technician Jeremiah was phenomenal . The customer service from day one , until today when he had the part delivered and fixed it . Even with my wasps problem he still managed to do his job with grace and no complaints. He definitely deserves a raise or promotion because given Houston heat and his customer service and knowledge explaining everything to me with ease is definitely worth acknowledging. Thanks so much and if anything happens again I will definitely only want him to come out and check.

I need the less than zero star rating option. BBB rating is F.My best advice to American Home Shield customers is to not accept assignment of your HVAC work order to Sevier Climate control. I should have complained to AHS when it took over a year to complete a claim for minor ductwork replacement.Instead I kept using them for spring and fall system check ups in order to not need AHS work orders. This year Russell Sevier checked my AC, pronounced everything fine and sold me a chemical cleaning for condenser, for extra $185. Didn’t open the cabinet and remove leaves and pine needles, just sprayed something and hosed it out. Then I asked him to install a soft start because I have whole house generator. He let me believe that’s what he did. Two weeks later the capacitor died. When it was replaced, by someone else, I saw how bad it looked and that it is literally right against the new soft start.No possible way he could have accidentally overlooked the condition of the capacitor, twice because he ignored it during AC check also.I asked him to provide product info for soft start. That’s when I learned he did not install what I asked for, expected and assumed had been done. He installed a hard start kit, which is not the same. His response was that he had “dealings with generator installers and a hard start was all they ever asked for”.When I called him out about the fact that he deceived a customer he went into an epic, comical, defensive meltdown. He finally said “it was a miss communication”(his spelling, not mine) and asked if I wanted a refund. Surprise surprise, it’s two months later and no refund, no apology, no responsibility for his actions and attitude. Russell Sevier has proven to me that he is unethical, incompetent, unprofessional, untrustworthy , doesn’t comprehend customer service or communication and is mighty self important.Beware!!! And demand a different contractor when using AHS.

Was assigned to them by American Home Shield warranty. The technician came out 8/9 and said he would have paperwork in by the end of the day to AHS, it’s 8/15 and AHS has still not received paperwork. I’ve called Serveir several times with no response and AHS many times they as well have a hard time getting in touch. My A/C is completely out and it’s 100+ heat index everyday. I can promise I will do everything in my power to get AHS to drop this place from their warranty list.

I was introduced to Sevier Climate Control through my home warranty plan. My system is old and it seems as though it needs some sort of repair least once a year. This company has worked on my unit for three of those occurrences. Each time everything has gone very well. Most recently they sent a tech named Russell. He was great! He had over 20 years of experience. He knew right away what the problem was and had the necessary part with him so that we were up and running in no time. He was also quiet nice and took the time to explain to us what he was doing. Russell, you rock!

The best AC company I have used ever! Most of it had to do with the customer service. The technician Josh was truly amazing! He was timely, friendly and very reasonable. I did not feel like I was taken advantage of or treated unfairly. He was very honest and upfront! We need more companies like this in the Conroe area!

Technician came out with American Home Shield, inaccurately and uneducated diagnosed the concern purposefully to avoid AHS coverage (I have seen this tactic before). We provided proof with AHS of our surge protection equipment which was operable and he still demonstrated low education and laziness. Usually service providers from AHS sign on because they are unable to get typical referral-based business due to poor quality of work.

They contracted this through Sevier Climate Control. They (Sevier) came out and (initially) did what appeared to be a good job. There was an issue when a worker accidentally broke a hole in our ceiling to our family room but they resolved that very quickly with a professional Sheetrock repair guy.Now just over two months later there appears a small water stain showing up in the ceiling directly below the unit. When we went up to investigate we came across a duct, that feeds to two main vents in our family room - that had NEVER been connected to the air handler box - thus there’s been no AC feeding to this main room. Not to mention that these room vents were wide open to the attic (due to them not being connected to anything) causing hot air from the attic flowing into the room. Our May-June bill was extraordinary high due in part to the unusual high temps but also due to this open to attic air vents issue.We contacted Sevier about this issue and they scheduled to come out the next day. They came out, looked at the issue, and said they didn’t have the tools/parts with then to fix the issue but that they’d put us in the schedule for them to come back and fix it.That’s been a week now and we haven’t been contacted about being on the schedule as of yet. I’ve contacted Russell several times only to be told it would be done before the end of that day- but no follow through and no scheduling.I finally contacted the home warranty company. They are attempting to get Sevier to get me on the scheduled to get this issue resolved. So far no response.We do not like leaving bad reviews, especially when it’s a small local business. So that is why you exercise patients and try to give them as much leeway as possible. But when the company (Sevier) doesn’t even attempt to communicate with you then it’s hard to continue to work with them.They should of had a job supervisor or someone qualified do a quality check when the job was completed in order to see if anything was left undone. Had that been done this would have never been an after-the-fact issue.We’ll be posting this same review on the other main social media boards (as well) so as to assist others in their selections of HVAC companies.We’ll be happy to update this review with a more positive twist if in fact Sevier makes it right.Update: we’ll Sevier basically ghosted us after after trying to get them to put us on the schedule for the “unfinished job” I.e. attaching ducts that were never reconnected. Our repeated calls to the home warranty company proved successful as Sevier did end up sending someone out and they did finally do the work.

They do not even deserve 1 star but I want to warn others not to use this company. We were already skeptical based on numerous current and older bad reviews but American Home Shield set us up with this company to fix an AC leak. It was leaking in the wall of a guest bedroom and into another bathroom. We were told that he would be there between 4-6pm on 7/21. Robert their tech did not show up until 8:30pm. We let him know that the drain pipe was no longer dripping but the leak was getting worse. We asked him to check the drain pipe for leaks. After he was up there only 15 minutes he told us that it was not the drain pipe but condensation from needed duct work repair. He said that he would file his report in the morning recommending that the duct work be replaced due to it being old and not in good condition. After numerous calls and multiple excuses and lies, the report was filed almost 3 weeks later. He filed a false report stating that the duct work was damaged due to pets/pests. This is a lie. Our pets do not go in the attic nor do we have or have had pests in the attic. AHS denied the claim to fix the duct work because of reason that Robert gave on his report. We called Sevier and AHS to dispute the false report but neither one would budge and we were left with a quote for $3700 that we would have to pay 100% out of our pocket. We paid $100 service call that was worthless. We found another AC company through Nextdoor (Waller County Electric, Air Conditioning and Heating) that came out on 8/4. He was in our attic and the rooms where it was leaking about 20 minutes. He found that we were right and it was a drain pipe leak. The drain pipe was not connected. He fixed it the same day for $223. If we had believed the Sevier tech and paid the $3700 we would still have the leak. Due to the delays from their tech Robert, we now have to replace wall and ceiling due to mold and flooring due to the leak overrunning during the day while everyone is at work. Please save yourself and DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are unprofessional, dishonest and incompetent!

We have been without air for a month. This company was assigned by our home warranty company. They came out right away and identified the problem, then disappeared. After repeated attempts to find out the delay, we were told the part was on back order. I spoke with them again on May 26th and was told the part was in Houston and waiting for delivery to the local Carrier location. I phoned today and was told that is now not the case and it is again on back order status. They have been unwilling to provide me with an expected date of delivery for the part, a part number, or a contact so that I can follow-up and get more detailed information with the manufacturer. They do say they will look into the information and have someone call. No one ever calls.

If they are used by home warranty, buckle up and get ready to make multiple calls, service requests, technicians to come by. It’s been nearly 2 weeks and still don’t even have parts ordered. Office has to call technicians who were supposed to put orders in over and over and no return call or any update. We were told the first time a tech was here the motor was bad. Had to have a minor part fixed to “try” that first and leave and when it didn’t work of course. You gotta schedule another date for a technician to come out, which drumroll is the following week. And then when they say oh the motor is out, we have to check to see if the part is available and then crickets.

This company is a joke. AHS contractor you have to use. No AC in Texas heat 108 degrees 3 days to come out. Here less than 30 minutes says “I wouldn’t put a penny in it you need a whole new unit’ $7700.00. Even thought per AHS they would cover the part needed plus labor.$669.00. Didn’t do tune up clean coils like I asked . NOTHING. Writes AHS no wear and tear so not covered. I’m sorry a unit 10 years old has a little bit of wear and tear. SO DISGUSTED!! Now to get a second opinion I have to pay another $125!

I was assigned to this company by my home warranty company because my main A/C is not blowing air. The techs came to the house and said they cannot fix the unit because they are not able to access the unit because ac small door is against the wall. According to them the unit was installed back-worth. I hired another company that said that was a totally lie and that the access to the unit is from the top lid not the side small door this tech was trying to open. I paid $100 just to have someone removed the lid because this company does not have trained tech. Insurance sent another company who fixed the issue with no problem. If the ins company assign this company to you call them and have them change the company.

Repairs were covered, parts ordered right away and was always kept informed of everything. They did what they said they would and most importantly for me WHEN they would do it. Sevier was contracted through our home warranty company, AHS. To be quite honest, after we were assigned Sevier, we went online to get an idea of what to expect while working with them because we haven’t had the greatest experiences with the contractors hired by any of the home warranty that we’ve had. After reading through the reviews, we began making arrangements to contract our own HVAC company. Our assumptions were 100% wrong and we are SOOOO glad that we didn’t contract through any other company.Our AC went out at 10 p.m. on 7/17/2022 and we were on their schedule by 9 a.m. 7/18/2022 with a 12-4 service window. By 4 p.m. 7/18/2022, we were living in luxury again with working AC. Larry was on time, knowledgeable, professional and very personable. He identified and corrected our issue in less than 45 minutes and then took the time to share preventative measures to take that would help prevent this from reoccurring. Sevier, their scheduling department and especially Larry and his service far exceeded our expectations.Much thanks and appreciation from our family!2ND SERVICE CALL 9/26/22:Different issue from July. Larry came out not once, not twice but three times. Provided a temporary fix the first time, added Freon the second time and got us back rolling when the part came in on his third visit. He really is a great tech and a great person! Thanks again!

Larry is amazing -- he was thorough, knowledgeable, and incredibly professional and kind. Because I wasnt at the appointment (silly traffic), he also took the time to call and explain everything to me that they did. I loved the text confirmations from setting the appointment to the day of the appointment about the status of the schedule and arrival. Thats incredibly helpful to have that follow up. The quality of service was fantastic and the price was extremely reasonable. I would highly recommend Sevier Climate Control to anyone looking for a reliable HVAC company.

I have used Sevier twice and they have fixed my issues quickly and extremely inexpensively and taken steps to make other small repairs at no additional cost to me. Other A/C companies had tried to sell me a whole new system for these same issues that only required a fuse replacement and lubricating my fan motors. There seem to be few honest companies out there, but Sevier is definitely an honest company that does fantastic work. I would use them again and recommend them to my friends. When my A/C system really does need to be replaced, I will be calling them to do it. Thank you so much!!

Used them through American Home Shield, my home warranty, I couldnt be more upset, disappointed or frustrated with Sevier Climate Control. The first person they sent out said I had no issue other than i just needed to clean coils. So I cleaned coils, personally, and the problem was still there. So I called them back out and they said they wouldnt come because I had them cleaned professionally.Which makes no sense, because I did them myself. Finally, they agreed to come back out and they said it was a different issue from the first technician, but I was going to have to spend over 1,000 that would not be covered by warranty. At this point I called a separate company and they said not only were they wrong on the first two problems, SCC left some things open which caused me more issues.Confused? Well so was I. This was a two month process in the middle of the summer and literally none of it made sense because no one could give me the same or generally similar answers.They were insulting, condescending and generally rude across the board.If you use them, good luck, I never will.

Robert is a top-notch repair technician! He is extremely honest and knowledgeable. Other companies had insisted I buy a new A/C system to replace my 7-year old quality unit, but Robert explained that my system was one of the most efficient and I could expect a 20-25 year life from it. He understood the problem and from his extensive experience, told me about the design and repair kit that the manufacturer provides in cases like mine, His competence was refreshing in a business not known for this! He is now my go to air conditioning guy!In addition, the owner of the company worked with his supplier to find my equipment warranty (I do not have a Home Warranty, but do have an extended warranty through the manufacturer), and work with them to transfer the warranty to my name. This was a process, let me tell you!The only problem I can see with this very good company is their scheduling. They overbook their techs so much that even efficient and knowledgeable guys like Robert are working sunup to past sundown. In addition, and even more frustrating, if unforeseen circumstances arise, like illness or weather, they dont make existing calls a priority, but book them 3 days out or so, causing further delays. I will be writing a letter to the owner, since this business practice is the one giant flaw in an otherwise stellar business.

Unfortunately I did not have a choice when it came to having my AC unit repaired as my current home warranty company AHS uses Sevier. After the initial technician visited my home to diagnose the problem with my AC unit it took over 4 weeks before any kind of report was submitted to AHS. I had to call Sevier and ask them to submit the report myself. Not only did they not submit the report, we were asked to get the information of the units we had that the initial technicianw as supposed to have gotten (we were asked to climb up into our attic and get model# of unit). It was as if the initial technician did absolutely nothing the day they came. On the day of the repair, a technician broke our door handle off the front door. Sevier offered to fix or reimburse me for the handle (we chose reimbursement).I would stay away from this company.

My warranty company uses Sevier Climate Control. Cannot keep an appointment in a timely manner. Both times, Ive been scheduled for a 1-5pm service call. I take time off work to be home in case they arrive...and the first time, service person didnt arrive until 8:00pm. I guess our time and work is not important to them.My second call... its 5:30pm and Im here waiting again. I took time off my job to wait for the service call ..... but as usual, my time off work/money is not important to them. They cant even give me courtesy call letting me know they are either running late or not coming at all.I called their office and I was told that whenever the technician arrives, then he will be here. They couldnt even give me a time frame. Maybe they get a good review as great technicians...but for customer service.. Ill give them a 1 star!

Updated Review on 07/21/2020After submitting a YouTube review explaining the FAQs about my experience with this company, and proof the company his technician was lying and he never perform the right diagnosis. I received a call from the owner.He was really nice and offer me to take control of the situation and fix the problem. He apologize about the bad diagnosis offered by his technician. 2 Days later my A/C unit was working. They had to replace the coils and the evaporator. At the end everything went smoothly (probably because the video still on YouTube and had 1,376 views). I wish all people had the power to make videos and record the companies if you feel something is not right, videos will force the companies to have better customer service standards and can be used to train better the technicians🛑Will be using their services in the future?🛑 I dont think so. You have only one chance to make a good impression, and after all, this was not a pleasant experience.Original Review July 12th***BEWARE**** READ BBB Reviews First***** I was assigned to this company by my home warranty company because my main A/C is not cooling enough. I have to say the response was great, and I was scheduled the same day, thats impressive. JOSE was my technician, upon arrival we look really unprofessional, wearing shorts, and most importantly he approaches me WITHOUT wearing a face mask. Also, his assistance/driver was not wearing mask. We arrived on a Dodge Ram 1500, upon making the initial diagnosis he went to the back of the house to check the main unit to check the freon. Then he asked me to let him access the attic, literally 2 minutes later after he got to the attic, he had the diagnosis. WOW! that was fast! His diagnosis was Everything looks good, your freon is to the top, but your unit is too small for your house Really? by confronting him about his diagnosis, I ask him, if any of the parts in the attic can be causing this problem, and he said NO, all the parts in the attic look good. I had multiple items in the attic blocking the door access to the evaporator and this guy didnt open the unit in my attic to check the evaporator, because all my stuff still in the same position (Blocking the access to the evaporator). At the end, the diagnosis was Found 1 unit to the home its a 3.5 ton system with r 410a. House is over 1900 sq feet and system is cooling to maximum potential due to the extreme heat. System is full of freon and is undersized for size of home. No mechanical failures found and is cooling to maximum potential by manufacturer specs for its size. First of all, the unit is not too small for the house, because thats the original unit installed by the house builder. 2- The 1900 SF is the entire house construction area, including the garage and the patio, when you calculate the AC unit Tons, they are calculated based on the living area. This company is a joke.

Our A/C went out 2 nights ago,and we contacted AHS to schedule a service request. They scheduled Sevier to come out. The tech called before arriving and when he was entering the neighborhood. Jake was our technician, and he was very professional, understanding and thorough. Honestly, we couldnt have asked for a better experience. 100 % refer these guys!

Repair through AHS they failed to fix it it broke again. It took 2 weeks to get a repair the first time and not even a week later it broke again. Clearly they diagnosed incorrectly. They way over charged for freon Ive looked up prices and its $200 for 20lbs of r410 they charge $700+ for 18lbs what a rip off. Ive called around they only do this for warranty customers they literally scam you. They are very unprofessional they showed up in an unmarked vehicle not in a uniform I was uncomfortable answering the door because I had no idea who they were. The first call they showed up 2 hours after the scheduled window. Its a mess all in the middle of the hottest months of the year.

This company was assigned to a service request I made through my home warranty plan. The technician came to check the AC on a Tuesday, but did not submit a diagnostic report by the following Monday. It turns out that the technician did not know how to submit the report and no one in the office helped him to get it done either. I had to make multiple calls to the office, to the technician, and the home warranty company to get this resolved.The technician said the expansion valve needs to be replace. But to replace it, he needs to release all the freon in the system and recharge it with 18 pounds of freon after the repair. The freon alone would cost over $1200 because the home warranty plan covers only $10/pound and I need to pay $70/pound. Talking with other AC professionals, I learned that the freon in the system can be saved while the valve is replaced and freon does not cost $80/pound.

Technician came last week and said hvac part needs to be order and will be replaced this week with explanation that takes longer because ahs needs to approve the coverage and they dont have the parts and they need to order it.hvac company that has no parts, i found this unusual .we have no ac cooling!So i spoke with AHS and they never even received the diagnosis so immediately they email them requesting the diagnosis! Larry came out to take care of a problem with our upstairs AC and the upper level was 82. He diagnosed the issue in 10 minutes and solved it in one hour. Temp was down to 75 within an hour after he left. It is a rare thing these days to see hardworking and knowledgeable professionals who just want to solve peoples problems. Larry did an outstanding job. I wish I had called Sevier CC in May when I had the whole system checked by Morrow. But Morrow did not solve the issue but just wanted to sell me a new AC unit.

I am insured with American Home Shield and they sent them. They came twice and said they could not repair as AC was old and needed to change inside and outside unit. I would have to pay more than $5000 for the outside because AHS covered only the inside. After one month without AC waiting for American Home Shield authorization I called another company and they fixed everything for $160 in 1 hour, without need for parts. Draw your own conclusions.

They were sent out by the home warranty company AHS. While I am always skeptical about the service I will get from the warranty company, I always hope for the best. I am a business owner and rely on honesty and integrity in my business. These guys quoted back to the warranty company with over $1000 in completely fabricated charges. Fortunately as a business owner I have access to reputable hvac contractors who were able to assess the situation, explain the bogus charges, and recommend appropriate service. Obviously, I took the cash out option, and hired someone else.Rather than using the warranty service as an opportunity to develop a relationship for when I need to replace the unit, they decided it was better to try to wring as much cash as possible out of me. Very disappointed that I had to waste the service call fee to be treated like a sucker. Watch out for them padding your bill folks.

I have AHS warranty and they sent out Sevier to diagnose my ac. My ac was not keeping up. They said I had enough refrigerant. They were trying to sell me maintenance service saying that was the problem. The guy that came out to diagnosed said he was a 3rd party contractor. I paid AHS to get another vendor out and they diagnosed the problem and added refrigerant.

This company was hired by our Home warranty insurance, American home shield. The first tech who came in had no idea about our heating system/ Carrier brand. He left saying we have to put in another work order as we have 2 heaters to work with, he will make order for parts and come back, on his second visit he spent couple of hrs in attic then came down and said something fishy is happening to ur heaters, I can not understand will send owner, Russell to fix it.after that our bedroom Cool air stopped working.. anyways Next day Mr Russell appeared and told me some strange mechanisms how heaters are not correctly implanted( although they were working fine for 13 yr so far) and he needs to replace one unit and has to call technical support at Carrier to get info on other one. He left and no reply for 3 wks, I called multiple times, no updates with worst customer service, I called insurance finally to check on it, then I got msg that 5k $ is needed to fix units and insurance will obviously not cover it. I requested insurance to send another company for second opinion as I had bad feelings about this company due to their weird behavior and I was right, guy from Douglas heating came in and fixed both heaters in 20min, apparently central gas line was off and he just turned that back on, Russel was asking for 5k$ for that.Very disappointed, highly nonprofessional..BE AWARE...

An older Tech came , He went up to the attic to look at the AC, I was afraid he would hurt himself based on all the noise he was making, He only stayed up there 2 mins and came down. He told me that the system wire was unhooked by the las tech and its hot up there. I told him that the last tech said the Control board was out, So he reluctantly went back up and said Yeap it out. He told me he would find the control board and call me back.. I paid them 125.00 and Im still waiting for a call back.. its be 2 weeks or more.

We had a guy come out for an AC problem through home warranty company. I already knew it was a leaking a evaporator coil. My wife was home alone at the time and told her that the AC was old and needed to be converted to a system that used R410A not R-22. Completely reasonable, but our AC system already ran on R410A...SO A COMPLETE JOKE. When I came home about midway through his talk, He started on me. I asked him if he had even looked at our AC system yet, he had not. I then told him that he was the second AC company that came out because I mis-stepped with the process of my Home warranty company and knew what was wrong. He then started to get to work. He submitted a claim to the home warranty company with work with more than $1000 out of pocket that did not need to be done like replacing a 6 month old drain pan and redoing much of the duct-work in the attic outside of just the plenum. This was confirmed with 2 other company quotes of work.

American Home Shield sent this company out to repair our a/c unit that wasn’t coming on. The technician took a look at the unit and says our issue would not be covered under our home warranty agreement but they can still fix it as a customer pay situation. I decided to pass on the offer and called another company for a second opinion. The 2nd company comes out and fixes the unit for 1/2 the price. We also found out the issue wasn’t as the first AHS company diagnosed. What a rip-off Sevier is. Very disappointed that AHS is using this company.

I called my home warranty on Wednesday August 5th because my ac wasnt working. They assigned Sevier. I didnt receive any confirmation of service so I called them they told me earliest they could come was Friday afternoon. They were there for 10 minutes and told me my compressor is bad and it will take 4-5 days to get one. So now Im at day 5 with no ac and still waiting. It has been anywhere from 83-87 indoor temp and the house has a weird smell. Seems like they dont have any sense of urgency so I bought a window ac for our bedroom.

I will tell everyone right now that after experiencing air dynasty, sevier was incredible and serviced my problem within minutes. They did exactly what they were sent out to do. It was quite refreshing based on my experience with air dynasty. i also have ahs and i was concerned based on some of the reviews that i read that sevier was going to repeat what air dynasty had tried to do in replacing a draining system which would have cost me 1250 dollars and was going to cost ahs 300 dollars. What air dynasty really wanted to do was replace both systems in my house for an incredible amount of money. what they did not do was address my problem. i had a clog in my drain. sevier came out on a second opinion from ahs and immediately fixed the problem. Sevier came through like a champ and i really appreciate greg....i believe that was his name. thank you sevier....and im glad that i gave yall the benefit of the doubt because yall were amazing. i will only have good things to say about u.

If I could give a review with lower than 1 star I would. This company’s customer service is LOWER than POOR. They show absolutely no empathy for their customers when they are literally dealing with having no AC in this Houston HEAT!!!! I’m one to give second chances but after what they put my family & I through I would never come back to this company again, or recommend anyone to come here. They gave us a wrong diagnosis, then they lied to us telling us they had all of the parts ready and when they got to our house they had NOTHING. Told us that we would have to wait another week... worst service I’ve ever received.

Multiple diagnosis were wrong, frankly it seemed that the technicians/ company didnt want to do the work. They told me the problem was one thing, then another, but told the warranty company something completely different. I recommend you dont waste your time or money dealing with them. I will simply state the facts of my dealings with this company to allow consumers to make an informed descision when choosing an hvac company. My family and I recently purchased our first home and, with it, home insurance through american home shield. Within our first year, our air conditioner was on the fritz. This company was chosen by american home shield to diagnose and fix our unit.The first time we called was an emergency. In the heat of summer, our air conditioner completely stopped working. Despite a promise to arrive within a four hour window, we were left waiting with no air and two young children well after that four hour window before we even received a call saying they would come within an hour. Apparently four hours wasnt a large enough window.Long story short, they failed to diagnose our issue over a period spanning several months costing us (and then them) a good amount of money in freon replacements. Finally, when they realized there was a leak in the evaporator coil, they informed us that we would have to pay 1000 dollars in code violations for them to fix the coil because they could not legally repair the coil without bringing the system up to code, even though these codes had nothing to do with the coil or the efficiency or safety of the system. Unconvinced, we called around to several other companies who informed us that this was a scam that they were pulling to make up for the money they lose by dealing with the home insurance companies.My husband and I went back and forth with the manager, trying to find out what laws required these code violations be fixed. We had other hvac companies come and inspect our house and say that these violations were bogus. We even called a city of houston code inspector per the request of Russel (the lead manager). Russel continued to insist that he was under a legal obligation to fix the codes, but could not provide any documentation of these codes or his legal obligation to fix them. American home shield refused our request to deal with another company. Ultimately, we informed him that we would be filing with the better business bureau and posting our experiences online. Only then did Russel yield and acknowledge that he could not provide any evidence of these code violations or that they needed to be fixed.Ultimately we decided we would rather pay an independent contractor not associated with our home insurance out of pocket than deal with this team of shysters.Dishonest. Incompetent. Bad customer service. Overall, did not use, would not recommend

We are also home warranty users upon arrival the technician seemed aggravated that my wife had multiple questions and huffed and puffed anytime we asked for answers. Second the technician told us that everything looked good and that we just needed a coil cleaning (that he priced at $400+) we were baffled as we knew something more was wrong. As any homeowner would do we seeked out opinions of a couple other professionals only to learn that our unit was outdated and ready to stop working but also that there were leaky holes all over the place, also we had exposed/outdated duct work. And also came to learn that the thermostat was originally installed in an improper area of the house (by an exit/entrance) As a professional how do you miss all these problems (laziness) worst experience ever. And companies should remember your techs are the face of your company. Maybe some customer service training and some integrity would go a long way with this company. ...very disappointed customer

Was very hard to get a hold of to get any type of compensation to get repair work done his contractor was not gonna be able to do work anytime soon. Went through American Home Sheild who uses Sevier for A/C repairs. The repair people did not take precautions replacing a drain pan . Water leaked through my ceiling in several places. Owner/manager was extremely rude and lacked professionalism when discussing the issue. Do not use them! I have taken up the issue with AHS as well.

Sevier Climate Control was dispatched by our warranty company when I had reported that I noticed excessive water dripping from from the side of our house. They came out and said we had a clogged drain, cleaned it however it was still dripping. They came back out and discovered the main pan in our air handler was cracked. The technician told me that it was covered but we had 4 code violations 1) no furnace stand 2) no float switch 3) redo drains 4) my plenum is an R4 not an R6 and that this would most likely cost $900-$1100 because home warranty companies dont usually cover code violations. The technician Jake then told me the warranty companies generally pay them like $100 for labor. I was pretty concerned after the technician left and called our home inspector and asked him why he didnt notice any of these things. He then informed me that he was pretty sure that none of those were code violations and to question the technician and get where the codes are from and contact the warranty company. I called our technician the next morning and asked if I could have the code numbers and what they were from. He could not tell me, he told me he would have Russell call me. Its interesting that Jake couldnt give me where the codes were from or the code numbers but he could tell me how much the violation cost. Russell didnt call so 2 days later I called him. I asked him where the codes came from and he said the IRC. I let him know at that point that I was having a second contractor come out because I did not believe the code write ups. I called a second company and spoke with the owner of the company he told me to first get the code numbers from Russell. I called Russell and asked for the code numbers. They obviously didnt write them down because Russell was looking them up as I was on the phone. For the Float switch he gave me code number m1411.3.1.1. For no furnace stands he gave me m1305.1.1, for the R4 not R6 he gave me m1601 and for the drains he gave me 1411.3.1.1 again. I called the other HVAC contractor and gave him the codes. He came out and looked at everything and they we went over each code. For the float switch code when you look it up it says if you have a second auxiliary pan with a separate drain leading to someplace that can alert occupants then that is good. That is exactly what I have. In regard to the furnace stand, the code that he gave me was in regard to furnaces/air handlers in an alcove or compartment.....mine is not in either mine is in the attic. When you go to the section about furnace/air handlers in the attic it has no mention of it being on a stand the only thing it says is that it needs 3 inches ground clearance mine has 7 inches and is on non combustible material. In regard to the plenum the contractor said there was absolutely no way they knew whether I had an R4 or R6 as it is not labeled on the outside. He also stated that it is a normal thing to replace when replacing the air handler and that it was not a code violation. In regard to the drains he said that all the drains were up to code I had the required drains insulated with p traps and clean out valves. After looking at online reviews of this company on Yelp, Google and the BBB I see that this company has done this before to other home warranty clients and ironically some of the same codes were written up as a violation. I have filed a complaint with the Texas Licensure and the BBB at this point. They knew exactly what they were doing and exactly how to write it up to alarm the home warranty company.

We needed one of the A/C units replaced at work. We have dealt with the same HVAC company for years but decided to check around. We found Sevier Climate Control thru a basic Google search. They were not only able to save us 17% versus our previous company, they were able to get the unit installed the very same day. This was especially helpful because we really did not want to wait two days. The technicians that came out were very friendly and even helped us set up the thermostats for our other units to be more efficient.We will definitely be calling them for our future HVAC needs and I would not hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family.
