Gentry air is one of the best companies I’ve ever worked with, hands down. High competency, incredibly professional at every step, they cut no corners in my installation, communicated well throughout the process and followed up well afterwards to make sure I was happy. What more could you ask for? Well, let me tell you. This system was installed on 12/23/2024. On 12/24/2024(Christmas Eve) I had a very small issue come up. I left a message expecting it to be returned after the holidays. An hour later Brandon(one of the owners) was at my house with his tool belt. He didn’t make one of his guys come over on Christmas Eve, he did it himself. You don’t see that very often. This company is well led, extremely ethical and does phenomenal work!

Gentry AC is the best! We didn’t realize our downstairs unit was out until Friday at 5pm and Brandon was there first thing Sat morning to fix it. Great service and always reliable!

Excellence, professionalism, well organized, efficient, attention to detail; all words to describe Gentry! Impressed by Gentry from first contact. Military discount plus cash discount were most appreciated. Came in under all other bids too!Brandon showed up promptly when he learned the A/C was out in this Texas heat. He reviewed the situation, gave us a bid, answered all our questions. We accepted the bid on Monday afternoon, the full crew showed up at 0800 on Wednesday and the job was completed before 1 p.m. It was a joy to watch the crew work, each person had a specific task and they worked together seamlessly. They also took great care of our property, covering the stairs and work areas neatly.It says something that Gentry was referred to us by another A/C company who said they are the go-to guys for Trane and you can totally trust them. Highly recommend Gentry for your A/C needs.

Gentry is absolutely the best! Jordan did such a thorough job diagnosing the problem with our AC system. He also checked out our other systems to make sure they were running properly. I selected Gentry to replace two older HVAC central air systems last year. They did an excellent job and were very cost effective. In the meantime we had two separate renovations completed in our house. I didnt realize that the new from install ducting needed to be cleaned if the contractor ran the AC during the jobs.

One of our AC units stopped working on a very hot summer Sunday. We called expecting to leave a voice message, but spoke with a very pleasant young lady who took our info and said someone would get back with us. Within 10 minutes John called back and said he would have a tech out Monday morning. Jordan was awesome! Polite, professional and very knowledgeable. He had our system up and running quickly. He took the time to explain what happened and what we can try if this happens again. He even checked out a small issue with our second system. Both systems are running smoothly again. Great company, great service. We highly recommend them!

Called to get a general quote on a mini split system for a my garage. First thing the guy on the phone says: We dont install customer units that youve ordered on Amazon..I asked if they did New mini slit installs not come install my Amazon order. Then he said they would need to have someone come out for a quote and wouldnt give a general or roundabout $ even with the understanding it could change depend on situation. I responded that I ve gotten more than 1 general quote over the phone..Houk AC had no problem giving me $ amount 2 minutes before I called so I said Im not having someone at my house until I have an understanding of what they charge. His response: Have a good day and hung up. Terrible customer experience.

Jordan came out on a Saturday. His customer service skills get a BIG 10 score. Also, he explained everything he was doing on our A/C unit. He got our unit up and running very quickly. Showed us the temperature coming out of our vents which was excellent.Trustworthy and very dependable! Strongly recommend Gentry!

They were amazing!! I called and they came out within two hours had the AC up and running within 30 mins of being here. Diagnosed the problem and had everything fixed same day. Very reasonable price I was anticipating to pay about 50% more than I was charged. Not only did Jordan fix the AC he also changed all of our air filters and unclogged two drains as part of the service! Jordan is the man and Gentry Air is the BEST! Highly highly recommend will use them for all of our needs!

If I could give these guys 10 stars I would! Phenomenal next day service (I called close to 5 pm yesterday to set up todays appt) and they booked me a technician. Our tech named Jordan was super nice a knowledgeable. He fixed the issue for our one A/C unit that ceased working and showed us how to do a temp fix for next time until they arrive. Ive gone through a handful of A/C companies for our house over the years but I will be using Gentry from now on and requesting Jordan as our technician.

The perfect experience. Called and made a request for repair. Got an appointment for next day. Showed up on time. Workman was very communicative and polite, gave me a sense of what he was seeing, he explained what failed and what it was going to take to repair. Quote was reasonable. Replacement of an attic unit evaporator coil - leak detected on Saturday, repaired on Monday morning in less than an hour and half.I believe we paid a premium for the service though compared post-installation to other bids.No senior discount or frequent customer discount offered.

We called gentry for a quote for a Trane AC and their pricing was great. They installed a new system and it’s working well. I would recommend them for doing business.

Such an amazing experience working with Jordan from Gentry air . We had had issues with our unit all summer and Jordan took the time needed and had the right expertise to get us back in a comfortable position . One nice feature is that they give you an actual appointment, rather than a 4 hour window, which makes scheduling so much easier. Todays technician was Jordan... Very responsive. Was able to service on the same day. The company that installed the unit couldn’t come out for a week and was kind of rude about it. The tech was incredibly polite and talked me through the entire process while he was troubleshooting the issue. We needed an older furnace repaired. The unit probably is getting to the replacement point to be honest. However, Gentry came out and said they can repair it and it doesn’t need to be replaced yet. The final cost was a fraction of what we will pay when we do have to buy a new unit. The employees who came out were friendly, professional and did great work. We will absolutely call Gentry whenever we need maintenance on our hearing and cooling units!

As good as it gets. He arrived early and waited until appt time so as not to wake anybody too early. Went over what is occurring, costs and gave me well explained options (pay more today for longer lasting repair or pay way less for “bandaid” fix that will likely need to be repeated every couple of years). There was no attempt to up sell me, just straight forward options.Side note…he took great care to not get my house and flooring dirty. Much appreciated.

Brandon and his team did a complete HVAC system replacement for us, and we couldn’t be happier. The crew arrived promptly on time and worked diligently and carefully as a well coordinated team. Since they had to remove all our old outdated equipment and install entire new air conditioning and heating systems, I had no idea it could even be done in a day, and they were packed up and back on the road before 4pm. The guys were so respectful of our home and neighborhood. They kept in communication with us about the progress of the project throughout the day, and made absolutely sure we were satisfied and had no more questions before they were done. They were helpful and transparent with us in the product selection process, and we ended up with a much more efficient system that has already saved us money in cooling bills. Our home is so much more comfortable with cleaner air, that I wish we had done this long ago. They’re the real deal. Highly recommended, good people.

The people there are fantastic. Each and every person I had contact with was professional, caring and competent. I found them so very pleasant. A few days after a repair and new coil installation, something was off and I called them. They came out within 4 hours of hearing from me and realized that when the Coil was installed the coolant was not totally filled back up. They took care of it right then and there and no additional cost. I recommend them without reservation.

Jordan with Gentry A/C did an annual inspection of my two home units. He was on time and explained everything he did in terms I could understand. He replaced one defective capacitor. He came back a second time a few hours later just to make sure things were operating properly. He is courteous and friendly. The cost of $233 was very reasonable. Ive been a customer of one of the local Big A/C companies for years. When I needed service based on a home sale inspection report they absolutely couldnt get to me for 6 weeks. So I called Gentry A/C and all I can say is I wish I had found them years ago. Rapid response, no upselling and got a Tech that you immediately knew was a true professional. Gentry A/C fixed my heating system that had stopped working. Temperatures in January have been getting down into the the high 20’s low 30’s at night so I’m really glad that it’s fixed now. Our heating system needed cleaning and a new capacitor replaced that was out of tolerance. Gentry A/C was professional, responsive, and courteous. I simply love this company. I dealt directly with the owner’s son Brandon Gentry. Brandon easily answered all of my questions and educated me on things I did not even ask about.I had three Trane complete units installed. After talking with 4 other companies, I decided to use Gentry. Brandon’s knowledge, price and punctuality all played a big part in my decision.I had a three day project. Each day they showed up right on time, 8:00 am. The owner John was here at the beginning of each day to get his guys going the right direction. His lead man Clay led his crew the rest of the day. Clay was extremely friendly and was never annoyed with my questions, or so he let on. I have used Gentry AC on several occasions on my rental property in Grapevine. They have always resolved my problem the same day regardless of the season or how busy they are. Being a landlord and in the construction business it is easy to tell when someone is being honest and not recommending expensive, unnecessary repairs. Our AC went out on Friday night, during a string of 100+ days. After a sweltering night, I called Gentry Air Conditioning on Saturday morning at 8. Tech arrived THAT morning and replaced a capacitor. Up and cooling before noon. Thank you, Gentry Air!!!

I dont ever write reviews, but based upon my experience, I wanted to share. Gentry fixed my AC yesterday and I cant say enough good things about them. AC was blowing hot last Thursday evening when I got home and I called A#1 Air due to their taking calls after hours. They came next morning quoted me $3k to replace a coil and other $600 to replace some copper and then started talking to me about a new unit for $10-14k. Current unit is 5 years old. Felt like I was getting hustled so called around and was fortunate enough that John Gentry called me back. He thought the part might be under warranty and worked for three days with Trane about the warranty. And every step along the way John called to update me. Coil was about $1,200 and their labor was about $1,600, so less than prior quote. Once they arrived yesterday and pulled the coil out, it ended up being a small part inside or next to the coil. They went and got that part and part and labor was $550 total. Part of the $550 included having them check my other unit while they were there.And upon their inspection, they determined my copper tubing was the right size and didnt need replacing. They could have easily stuck the coil in, replaced the copper, and made more money and I never would have known the difference. I will never doubt anything they tell me in the future, and theyll be the only ones Ill ever call. And the AC is now frigid cold. :)

Gentry A/C came to my rescue with total knowledge in assessing my A/C problem. I had two other companies look at my A/C unit and one of which told me I needed a whole new system at the tune of thousands! We had Gentry AC replace our entire HVAC system, including ducts and all, and they did a great job. The new Trane system cools our home, even in the record breaking heat we have been having. While they were working, they did not disrupt our routine at all. They were neat and cleaned up after themselves very well. When the city inspector looked in the attic at the new ductwork, he said, Wow, they did a good job. You normally dont expect to hear that from an inspector. These guys are great.

Had Gentry come service the AC unit at my office this week. On time, professional job, incredibly professional technician, and a reasonable price. What else could you ask for?

Jacob was on time and very pleasant. His professional and enthusiastic demeanor was a nice change of pace considering other HVAC guys I’ve used. He was in and out before I knew it and checked all the boxes I asked him to.

My AC went out in the evening and they were able to get someone out first thing in the morning. He was extremely professional and quick. Very upfront on what was going on and the cost of everything. Highly recommend

Gentry Air Conditioning recently gave us an estimate to replace our HVAC units. Brandon Gentry met with us, inspected the units and gave us his assessment. He gave us advice on how we should approach replacing the units in stages vs 3 other companies that said you should replace all of the units (5) now. We replaced 1 unit with a Trane Variable Speed system and will replace the other units on an as needed basis. Their team was professional, polite and extremely meticulous during the installment and cleanup process. Pricing was competitive and fair, lower than the 2 other Trane providers we secured bids from. If you have HVAC service or product needs I would highly recommend Gentry Air Conditioning. They understand the value of taking care of the customer.
