$120 to come out and look at my unit they installed less than 2 years ago. They did a hack job on the install and now want us to pay them just for a look at it. I should not be having issues with a brand new outside and inside unit. They talked us into the new unit because our previous unit wasnt cooling the house and here we are with the same issue plus more.To the reply they sent, most certainly a hack job. When they installed the unit they made a drill hole through the very top on the side of my house which shoots out a jet of water from the condensation pump which leaves a never ending puddle of water sitting by my house, they also cut out a piece of my daughters drywall in her room behind her door for another air grille to the inside unit because they said it would be better, but while leaving the inside of the wall exposed open to everything and when the air turns on, her door (which has too be open most of the time for proper return air filtration) goes flying into the wall because its sucking the door into the air grille, which has caused wall damage since it keeps breaking the door stoppers from how much force and since the air from the whole house is trying to go through her door, there is always dust collecting around her door frame. My husband called yall since you installed the units and was hoping with the issues you handed us to deal with, you would have some ethics to figuring out whats wrong with a completely top to bottom new unit without charging SO much for a looking. I would have gladly paid the $120 if it rolled into the repairs or work that would have happened plus any extra amount from said repairs but $120 for a look and then additional charge for a who knows what amount you would charge me is not my cup of tea. Replying to reviews with your business expenses is very much a thumbs down and your phone customer service person did not give a hoot about any issues and stated anything after a look would cost us MORE so the review. Your reply and the phone conversation are saying two different things, one is how you treated the customer poorly out of the public eye and the other in the public eye replying to reviews to make it seem like I am in the wrong for the review when it is completely justified.

Be careful these guys are sneaky trash people. Are used them 4 times at an Accumulated price of $2000 for them to try to sabotage my unit by turning the fan in reverse on the outside. I know this because when I first bought my home, everything was perfect then I’ve had AC problems And I only use them. Reeders from Lagrange came And found that the wiring was switched. He shocked himself from the way that they had it rigged up said that a new motor would’ve cost me $700 to watch out who I trust working on my unit. Just a warning in case your like me and don’t have money to waste

Our AC went out, and they sent their tech, Jason out to us the same day. He was very knowledgeable, explained everything he was working on, and gave us tips on how to keep our system in good shape. We had concerns that our heat unit was struggling to keep the house warm. As temps in the teens are predicted later this week we call for serviceJason came out right away , ordered parts to fix our unit and returned two days later to install new parts. Great service and fair price. Thanks for saving our Christmas holiday. A few weeks ago we needed repair on our air conditioner and had the same quick efficient service. I will certainly use Smithville Heat and Air in the future.

I called Smithville Heating and Air on Monday the 27th About my air conditioner blowing hot air. The Dispatcher that answered my call was very pleasant and told me that she could get back to me in 5 minutes with an ETA of when technicians could be out. She called me back in about 3 minutes and said that they were having a light day and could have a technician to my location in about 45 minutes . The technicians came out to my home in about 35 minutes . They were very professional and courteous! They had my air conditioner backup and running in 30 minutes. I appreciate Smithville Heating and Air For their professionalism and timely service! Local heating and air services couldnt give me and ETA and did not get back to me until the next day.

My AC went out at 6pm on a Saturday night. I got someone out for $150but they werent able to fix it, they just wanted to sell me a new unit. I had called several companies including Smithville Heat & Air. They called me on Monday and came out before noon. They diagnosed the problem and said they could fix my unit for $1100. Needless to say, I was very happy with the outcome and they even guaranteed the work! Its not often that I encounter someone like Calvin to be honest and not try to sell me something that I really dont need. Thank you!

Its nice when you can find a company with genuine, reliable service! Smithville Heating and Air has saved me on multiple occasions! The first time they saved me money by replacing a part still in warranty after 14 years instead of selling me a new unit. The owner has come and serviced my unit when I called after hours after arriving home to an oven. I had A/C issues. Another company said I needed an entire new system. $12,000 price range.Smithville heating and air sent a tech. named Bo out. He diagnosed the issue, replaced the bad parts, and made sure it was good to go. Outstanding service!!A/C fixed. We had a minor after-hours issue and after calling another outfit offering emergency services, Smithville Heating & Air offered an absolutely reasonable rate for a visit! We all know that there is really not a good time for your HVAC system to bid its final farewell but a forecast of a week plus of record breaking cold - really!! We had used Smithville Heating and Air for repairs before and had great experiences so I called them for help. Amy was so helpful from the start and Calvin got here as soon as he could. Once we made the decision to get a new unit he immediately got on it and had the system ready to install in a few days. Enter Cody and Bo, on a freezing cold, rainy, sleeting day. They were here exactly when they said they would be. They were diligent, careful and respectful and had us warmed up in a matter of hours. They worked in the attic and outside while ice was forming on everything and never complained once. I am so grateful for their hard work and good attitude. I would definitely recommend them for any and all HVAC repairs or replacement.

Calvin, Amy, and their staff are polite, friendly, accomodating, supportive, and helpful. Just an overall great customer service experience from the initial assessment with Calvin to the young men who came out and fixed the A/C.

Jimmy the technician was at my house within an hour and a half of me calling them on a Friday night! He quickly and efficiently diagnosed my problem and got my air conditioner up and running again. They charged me half of what other nearby companies would have charged for an after hours visit and were well worth the money spent! Thanks again Jimmy, you saved the day

Archie was a great guy but he no longer owns this company and it is nowhere near as good as it was. I had Archie work on my AC for twenty years and with no problems. Then I needed to have my AC replaced and the new owner, Calvin, gave me a quote for a Trane 14&16 seer unit which I chose the 16 and after that was installed I noticed is was a 14 outside and when I talked to him about it he told me the unit upstairs made it a 16. He was very deceitful by not telling me this in the first place because I would have told him to install a 16 outside like I was led to believe I was getting. He is not very honest (in my opinion) and only cares about money and not whether you are happy with the unit. When they installed the unit the blower would not shut off and it ran for two day non stop. Archie is not there anymore ( the class is gone) but he does have one person there that if I need help with the unit I will call,Tim. After speaking with a Trane person and giving him all the model numbers he told me that the unit was a 15SEER not a 16 which is what I paid for. So far I have found four different licenses this man has advertised and none of them are his so I see a lawsuit in his future very soon.

There was a church in our community that needed Air conditioning and didnt have the funds for repair. So Calvin sent me to Home Depot to purchase a big window unit for the Church so they could have Sunday service in the cool. Thats Smithville Htg and air always helping there customers and community.

Archie is a great guy to work with. He always comes out as soon as possible, usually the same day that I call, unless I say its not urgent, then next day. I have two aging a/c systems that he keeps running for me. Couldnt be happier.

Nobody wants to have issues with their AC, but Tim and Calvin approach every situation with class, and compassion. I am lucky to have found these guys. If you are in their service area they should be your first call. I cant say enough good things about them.

I want to thank Smithville Heat & Air for sending me Bo who found and fixed a leak in my new mini-split air & heat system when 3 other people who tried couldnt. Thank you soooo much Bo!
