What would I do without Derek and his team? I have been able to count on them since 2015 both professionally and personally. As a real estate broker, having excellent business relationships is key to my business for my clients. He is honest, a lifesaver, unbelievably priced (a fraction of others), and someone everyone should have in their corner. I dont know what I would do without him. His business is repeat customers and fixing what other dishonest HVAC companies have tried to do to other people. I call and they come right away like the superhero team they are! Thank you so much for taking care of my clients and my family! You are exceptional and I am so grateful for you!

Please be patient in reading my thorough review. This will serve a warning for people who work hard to earn money and live fair in this country.I just wanted a preventive maintenance for my hvac anyway my house is only 3 yrs old. Initially a guy from will fix it came and scared us from his findings:1. Our blower is moldy and that he need to come back and remove the whole blower and clean it.2. Condenser coil is too dirty and moldy as well.He charged us for $899 for fixing those or we can get away from doing them if we would purchase a UV light and air something i dont remember the name for $2100. Good thing he needs to do it some other time so we scheduled it for next week. I decided to call another co. From google i read that fresh air has a good reputatation, best of all the owner is known for his honesty. Indeed he was!!! He gave me a free second opinion check and guess what... my blower and condenser were spotless!!! That will fix it guy was a scam! He showed my husband pictures that i believe were not ours ! Derek(owner of fresh air) and his guy check my hvac and the real problem which is lack of refrigerant was not mentioned to us. It affects the temp that my ac is giving our house. I paid way beyond lower than i need to if i succumb to that will fix it guy job proposal. I will definitely have FRESH AIR again for my hvac needs in the future. God bless people like Derek.

I received 9 quotes to remove my old condenser/air handler and install new units. Hands down, Fresh Air gave me the best quote based on price and product. My selection was also very much based on first impression and whether I was getting a tradesman or a salesman. When it comes to spending thousands of dollars on any sort of trade work, I look for someone that is going to be real with me. When Derek came to look over the job and build an invoice we had a very honest conversation that wasn’t filled with hooks and sales pitches. I had a couple companies trying to replace items that didn’t need to be replaced and some saying they could just fix the problem when I already know it couldn’t be repaired.After I accepted the bid, Fresh Air had the new units delivered to my house within 4 days. The next morning the team showed up and got to work. Everyone was respectful and professional around my family and me. The finished product looks and FEELS amazing. They where careful not to damage anything as they hauled the old stuff out and the new stuff in. Going up and down the stairs to the second floor and through the narrow hallway where the attic access was something I wasn’t even sure could be done but they made it look easy. No trash left behind and there was even some pieces of trash already up there so they definitely went above and beyond and left it looking better than before they got there. Besides the price tag that comes with buying a new HVAC system I can honestly say that it was a very good experience. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

I was able to compare their prices when work was done and found them very competitive. Additionally, Fresh Air gave me a second opinion when another AC company told me my AC unit needed to be replaced. They fixed my unit (inexpensively) and my system is still going strong 3 years later. I have referred them to friends and they have also been treated nicely and honestly.

Outstanding on all accounts! We have used Fresh Air Systems for approximately 6 years now. Derek and his team have always delivered exceptional care to us! They always manage to squeeze us in to get us out of a bind! Every employee we have encountered has been friendly and professional. We are always presented with all of our options, told about the pros and cons of each, and quoted a price much lower than other A/C companies. As a Registered Nurse, I especially appreciate being well informed before I consent for the work to be done (similar to how we practice in the medical field). Finally, I love their honesty. That is very hard to come by these days.

Our A/C was not cooling as it should and we were told that we would need to replace the whole split unit. I got a second opinion from Fresh Air Systems and come to find out all we had to do was replace a part that was still under warranty. Derek saved us THOUSANDS of dollars! My son recommended Fresh Air Systems to me after he had a system replacement in his new home. He was very pleased with the work. I contacted the company after experiencing a lightning strike next to my condo building which caused my HVAC system to fail. My insurance company had denied my claim, indicating that the failure was due to old age rather than due to the lightning surge. While replacing my system, Fresh Air located evidence of the damage from the surge and provided great documentation and pictures which resulted in the insurance company paying the claim after all. The crew performing the work was very professional and competent and did face some challenges with the installation in the limited condo space which they handled very expertly. I cannot say enough good things about Fresh Airs service and I will not hesitate to call them should the need arise!

Derek is a great guy to work with. Fresh-Air Systems recently installed a new HVAC system at my home. Extremely professional and A+ work. Derek did a excellent job and took his time to explain the operation of my new system and set up my new WiFi thermostat. I felt very comfortable with them in my home and they cleaned up everything after completion. Reasonably priced for the quality received. I went with Fresh Air Systems last year because I felt victimized by another A/C company who always tried to sell me something new or upgrade me in some way.Fresh Air Systems promises not to do that - and they dont. One morning I heard my thermostat kicking on and off. I called Fresh Air, they came out the same day, diagnosed the problem, found out unit was still under warranty. I only had to pay for installation. I highly recommend them.

Everyone at Fresh Air System is absolutely fantastic. I scheduled a service call via a website for my home warranty in the evening & received a confirmation email and a direct call 1st thing in the morning for a same day appointment. Every was perfect & smooth and on time as promised. The rep who came out, James was amazing! He helped fix things & got the AC going in a short time. James answered all my questions. Being from the North, I don’t have a lot of history with AC so, he showed me how to maintain things and gave a lot of helpful info on what to do in general. I have been a customer of Fresh Air Systems for two decades. I just bought a brand new air conditioner and furnace. It was in the nick of time because two days later Texas was hit with an arctic freeze. My family and I would have froze to death had it not been for Fresh Air. The system I bought from Fresh Air is phenomenal. Not only am I saving huge amounts of money on my electric bill, but I just cashed a $700 rebate check from CPS for saving the environment with my new air conditioning unit. I would not have known about the rebate if Fresh Air had not told me about it. We are so grateful to be customers of Fresh Air Systems.

Derek and his team CRUSHED this installation that has been going on for 6 months,We originally spoke with Derek in regards to an issue with our out door unit, made a good first impression, but I was skeptical as I am with most things, so I went around and found some decent financing at other places for around the same price.At the end of the day companies were jerking us around, from home warranty companies to the actual AC companies.So we came back to the team, they came out assessed installed all within 2 business days.The Other companies LOST a condenser, and then said it was going to be an additional 2k if I wanted to install a new one. Dereck said he would install for the same price he gave me a month prior..This team is absolutely awesome and they have earned a life time customer.10/10Again they absolutely knocked it out of the park!!!!

Fresh Air Systems installed an AC system in a condo I purchased in San Antonio. My big complaint was that when Fresh Airs bank made an error when keying in my check for the initial service visit, I was charged $50 for a return check fee, even though I discovered through my bank that the error was on their banks side when keying in the information with the wrong account number. After asking Fresh Air to investigate twice, they never phoned me back or refunded the fee.I purchased another home in San Antonio a couple of months later that required a new AC system; but I would never use this company again for service on the original unit, or for other real estate investments I make in the area.

I have trusted in this company for many years servicing my rental company. They are always honest, efficient, and priced fairly. Recently I was due for an entirely new system and they did an amazing job as always and the best price in town. Cant recommend them enough, true professionals.

I first used Fresh Air Systems earlier this year when my insurance company sent them to do some repairs on my A/C system. They were very professional and thorough. I told them to call me this winter for my winter maintenance and they did. Gabe came out and discovered what two other HVAC companies had missed when I bought my house, that my heat pumps werent working properly (they werent coming on at all when I turned on the heat, the HVAC was only using the heat strips to heat the house). He spent hours working with my messed up wiring to install two new thermostats and now everything works great. Anna at the office is also very courteous and calls to let me know when theyre on their way, and theyve always been on time. Ill definitely continue to use Fresh Air Systems for all my HVAC needs. The owner believes in serving customers fairly. Instead of just telling me that my 20 yr old system should be replaced he knew that I didnt have $8-9000 for a new a/c unit & told me that theyd fix the furnace for me. So, after he came out & diagnosed the problem he sent Gabriel to get the parts & Gabriel came back and replaced the parts! No other co. wanted to service my furnace but just wanted to sell me a new unit. Thank you Fresh Air for saving me $1000s and giving me great service. Definately will use them again!

For a couple years now Ive been dealing with a burning smell whenever the A.C. was on, especially when used for long periods. Last summer I had another company install a new evap coil in the air handler (which they did a little wrong) and check on the smell, but they couldnt figure it out. After replacing the blower motor and various other parts myself, I was at a loss of what to do, so I went to call this previous company to check my unit again. Luckily I lost the receipt and couldnt remember the name, so I stumbled across Fresh Air Systems when googling reputable companies. Derek the owner has been incredible to talk to as he really takes the time to discuss the issue and backs their claim of being a customer oriented business. Their lead technician James has also been a huge asset in reviewing my issues and really taking the time to talk me through fixing the problem. This is by far the best company Ive dealt with for any home issues and recommend anyone needing HVAC work done to contact them immediately. Too many companies talk a big game and then never back it up, but not Fresh Air Systems.

We had Fresh Air install a new system in our condo. They were very professional, courteous and timely. We were very pleased with the service and would highly recommend them to anyone who needs HVAC system

They are a little pricey but I love them The guy I had come out to do my work was wonderful and he wouldnt stop until the problem was fixed. The previous owners never serviced the air conditioning unit so there was a ton of sediment clogged into the pipeline he spent 2 hours trying to unclog and eventually did get it unclogged so it would stop leaking from my second story to my first story floor.

You could not ask for a more professional, and knowledgable company with incredible hard working people. After going through 2 different companies who could not get a job done, Derek and Johnathan show up, did what they had to do and didnt stop till the job was done. Dont bother calling or searching for another company, put your hard earned cash and trust your familys comfort with Fresh Air. Thanks again guys and Ive already told some buddies about you. I have used Fresh Air Systems for ~5 years now. They are ALWAYS on time, reapectful, and most importantly accomodating and honest. Their work and technicians are top notch, and customer service is right there with the work quality.

After having been a loyal customer for several years and referring tens of thousands of dollars of business to this company, I can no longer recommend Fresh Air Systems to anyone. The company caused damage to my house during a routine maintenance call, made a few futile attempts at figuring out a solution to the problem, ignored my suggestions as to how to fix the problem, and then left me holding the bag. I had to call a water damage mitigation & restoration company out to cut away the part of my house that Fresh Air Systems caused damage to, had another HVAC company competently fix the drain line that Fresh Air Systems broke, and then had the restoration company back out to restore the exterior of my house to its pre-damaged condition. I sent the company a bill for the total cost of repairs, which I successfully negotiated down to only $651, thinking they would do the right thing and at least reimburse me for the repair of the damage they caused to my property. The company ignored their customer; without so much as a call saying they refute the request. This is the customer service equivalent of a slap in the face. Its sad that you cant even trust local businesses to do the right thing anymore, its all about their bottom line at the end of the day.

We have had so much issues with our AC since we have moved into our house from it not cooling the rooms and it being hot. And everyperson we call wants to charge a arm and a leg . Jr had came and cleaned our pipe and not only did he educate us but solved our issue. Our rooms have been cold for the first time in 2 years . we are so grateful he worked with us and helped us after all the previous failed attempts where it felt like it was just about the money. This company did not make us feel like that. They genuinely want to help. Especially in this horrible heat in Texas.

When FAS Fresh Air Systems came to install the first air handler 9/18/2019, they had asked me which unit needed replaced? I told them I am not 100% but I think it’s the back one (unit A) but call Anna FAS head of office to check. I was down in the office when I heard a loud hiss as it just dumped 12-16 lbs of R410a refrigerant in my house setting off all smoke alarms, and forcing me to take my dogs outside and opening all windows. I called Anna and reported this, and she said she would have their supervisor take care of it (James?). I let them work unattended, gave them a box fan to suck cool air from the house and into the attic. They got (Unit A) patched back together, and preceded to work on unit B.They installed unit B and upon inspection, the whole middle of the unit, the back middle portion and where the primary drainage was leaking water into the secondary pan. They proceeded to fix this with black duct tape. I paid my invoice, and they left. I went back into the attic a little time later, and discovered trash thrown about the attic, the units that are up there are original with the house, and these parts were to an air handler. I explained to James I have cleaned up most of the trash, and James said he would have his crew come out and fix the air handler smell (unit A) and clean up the rest of the trash left. The individuals were Anthony and I do not know the name of the other individual. That night the house had a very musty smell, I had text James who works for Fresh Air systems and was told they could of knocked some dust loose and it would be taken care of tomorrow morning.The same crew arrived and told them to take all trash that they had left, I was apologized to and told they were “very sorry” and fixed the pipes that were leaking onto the plywood and were nice enough to replace the p-trap, they were nice enough to throw the excess piping and p trap behind the air handler. I called Anna and she put me in contact with Derek (owner), We had a conversation and he would like to come out and “look” at the unit that was not set up correctly and the unit that is now leaking from the plenum box.The second time FSA came out to install the second air handler (10/14/2019) they said they would fix the problems with the first unit. I asked them to please not leave trash in the attic this time, and was disrespected in my house the second time by the same person (installer)I was assured that the issues would be fixed and bottom line its worse: one units secondary drain pan is not hooked up, both units are scratched all over the bottom. Wires and lines are spliced or not secured to anything. There is no regard for someones house or new items.Pros:**************************************************-Anna is very helpful-Derek is knowledgeable - seems to be for customer satisfaction but have not heard from him since the first time he came out. Thus does not care, to fix issues that arise.-James (former lead) was amazing and kept to customer satisfaction till he left.-They show up on timeCons:*******************************************************************- will leave Trash in attic- will scratch your new items up- not secure items properly-They will not call to get right information when needed-scratched stairs- wont properly support unitsFinal verdict : DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING UNTIL YOU FULLY INSPECT- if you do the invoice is complete and nothing will be done about anything***UPDATE*** 11/1/2019 - City of New Braunfels failed both air handlers as neither was up to code for installation.

They do my twice a year service and also came out when my new system started making a noise, David found the problem, fixed it easily, walked me through what he was doing to my system and why. He was absolutely polite the whole time. They were on time and it didnt cost me a fortune.

This is the fourth time I have used Fresh Air Systems since I moved into my house. I have a really old system x2 and this company has always been timely in repairing my system(s). Honest, clean, on-time, and professional. This is my go to company.

This company ignores Federal and State No Not Call lists and calls people who have placed their phone numbers on these lists. I would never use a company that has employees call numbers on these lists.

They told me I had black mold in the pellum of a recently installed system. Suggested abatement and UV Lights to stop it. I called the installer, no mold, just the inside of the pellum is black.

The owner is a great guy, he has a great team of employees. I will Definitely be calling them back again to do another job.
