I can’t say enough good things about Affordable Air and Heat! Their work ethic is outstanding, and they pay incredible attention to every detail. They’ve installed two air conditioning units for me at an unbeatable price, complete with an excellent warranty. Dylon’s expertise truly reflects the quality of this company—I highly recommend them!

This company is the absolute BEST! I have used Affordable Air for the last 6 years on my Short Term Rentals in Galveston. Affordable Air is quick, responsive, reasonably priced and trustworthy. They get the job done but they have NEVER tried to sell me something that I didnt need. Larry and Dylon are amazing! About 6 months ago they went above and beyond for me. My condo is on the bottom floor and somewhere between my condo and the compressor on the top of the roof there was a leak. It ended up being in the walls on the 3rd floor. This was not an easy job. They didnt stop until they tracked it down and fixed the issue. AND...their repair cost was VERY reasonable. Brett, the owner, was involved during the entire process. I honestly cant say enough good things about him and his company. I wont EVER use another HVAC company in Galveston!

Had a poor experience. Had them come to check and see what was wrong with our system. A thousand dollars later, they had added a little bit of freon and no solution other than telling us there is probably a leak.

Love the job they did! Had these guys put in a whole new system and ducts in my main house and a mini split in the back house. Great price, beautiful install, and did everything they said they would. Highly recommend them! I am super happy.

Kudos to Affordable Air for having a great 24 hr service man. We contacted AA at 9:00 pm and by 10:00 we are back in the a/c and it’s working great. Hats off to Larry S. for his expertise and his eagerness to answer his calls promptly. I highly recommend AA to everyone as they are on call 24/7 and their rates are reasonable and affordable. 👍🏼👍🏼

Ive called them out a few times for service on my mothers house and once on my new house. They found the issues quickly, even switched out some swollen capacitors and topped off the refrigerant to avoid any callbacks for an extremely cheap price compared to almost anyone else for a regular service call. Came out for a checkup on my new house and listed some minor issues, but advised to save my money until any issues started to present themselves down the road. They get the problems fixed at the best prices Ive ever seen and Ive never had to call them back for the same issue. Very satisfied with their work, especially at the best prices Ive ever seen, by far.

The day after my father went into MD Anderson and gave us a scare of a lifetime. My sister and mom found out the furnace to my parents house was not working. It was 60 degrees and only getting colder. When my dad was released from the hospital. That night I called Affordable Air & Heat, Brent Ballard to help get them back into their home. They stayed with me that Tuesday night. By Wednesday afternoon Brent had one of his very helpful and informative employees at my parents and with a working furnace. Wonderful Customer Service!! Brent Ballard Thank you so much for the blessings you have done for my family. My father is able to focus on his recovery and my mom, who is going blind, was able to go back to her home where she felt comfortable! Support our local hero!! I have also had service calls to my own home. Very prompt, very knowledgeable employees and awesome customer service!! I once called at 12 in the afternoon one hot summer day. He had someone over right away!

Stay away!!! These guys are crooks!!! We were having AC issues and they came out for a repair. These liars said both outside and inside units need to be changed because they are broth burned up and will never work again. They gave a $12,000 quote.We said no, and we’re going to get a second opinion. The next company came out, changed a single $0.89 fuse and it works again.Wow! Talk about lying, unprofessional, unethical people.Steer clear of these people!!!

For one job back in 2012, they were hard working and honest. You couldnt ask for more than that! however, recently, I wanted to contract Affordable Air for another job. Called their offices three different times offering work. Never received a call back. Not sure what yet wrong. The company is good, if and when you could ever get a hold of them.

I called and in less then ten minutes from my first call, Brett called me back. He informed me of service fee and cost of Freon. Him and his helper were amazing. I was a mess, everything going wrong at once. Brett took the time to talk me through everything explain my options and what I needed to do. They were friendly, informative and understanding that while Im disabled and having a hard time. I hope his bosses see this and realize that both these young men at are asset to the company. Thank you guys!

Came to my home and the guy did nothing to fix the problem. Gave me a write up on my furnace, not even for the issue at hand, then charged me money and left. I called and left a message to find out why he didnt even fix my problem and of course no call back. Sadly Ive used them before and had great service this time as totally turn me off to this business.

We got a heat pump AC from Air Advantage. They suggested it to us when our AC went out. It has been a Godsend and saved us so much money! Air Advantage is so knowledgeable and takes all the time you need to answer every question. They were quick and professional. We also lost our sales receipt and warranty. Oops! They quickly found it for us, so we could provide it to our realtor upon our move .They are awesome!!!

Brent called me to set up time for his guys to come out and replace the AC unit and duct work. The AC unit is so much quieter than one we had. Im hoping to see lower electric bills as well. Brent is super friendly (feels like boy next door country boy) and willing to resolve issues even if means coming out to do it himself. He even answered questions on Friday night after business hours. Im glad he was able to squeeze us in on memorial day weekend so we werent without AC. Id recommend Brent, at least check him out to see if he gives yall a fair estimate.

Upstairs ac went out, called them late Tuesday came out that evening told us the problem. Came out the next morning replaced both ac upstairs and down stairs . Works great ! Great customer service! I would recommend to anyone !

The only a/c company on Galveston Island that would give me a bid to install a/ in my 100-year-old house. Price was reasonable. Installation went as planned. They always return my calls and give me a good estimate of their time of arrival if I need service.

Came out on time which was good. Not happy that he couldnt check for a leak . I had to pay another company to come out and do it . Wasting time and money to have two diagnostic done. The second company found the leak within 30 mins . Technician at Affordable Air said that said Id have to wait till the coolant leaked out again to find the leak . Made no sense . In other words 355 dollars to fill the coolant and not find or try to fix the problem.

Affordable Air is a pleasure to work with, they are no-nonsense, local a/c and heat experts. My clients often use them for home inspections and repairs and Affordable installed the a/c at my own home! They have been great to work with for the past 10 years and hopefully for many more!

Worst experience with an air conditioning company ever. Service technician (kevin) was very rude from the start. After four days of waiting we had to drive to North Houston to buy the part. No one in the office returns phone calls and when you call to get an update no one knows what is going on. Overall terrible experience... Will not be using them again for anything.

This company is a joke when it comes to customer service. I called them over two months ago to come check out an issue that I was having with an AC unit. Larry came out and told me that the dampers were rusted and that he would be back out within a week or so to measure and order new ones. After a month and a half of not hearing from Larry or the office, I called the office on October 15 and was put on schedule for that Friday. After not hearing from them after another 3 weeks I called the office today. When inquiring about my missed appointment the lady told me “I dunno I’ll have to get with Larry”.After speaking with Larry on the phone he informed me that “ my boss said we aren’t going to take on that headache”. I was a little taken back by this comment and asked -were are you guys going to have her let me know that you weren’t going to perform the work. He replied that’s not really my job I’m in the field somebody in the office is in charge of that. I called the office and got a similar response from the same lady who originally scheduled my service.

Do not use this service - dishonest and unethical! The repair person left an invoice for replacement with my elderly parent with dementia and when I called to follow-up & ask why the unit needed replacing, his response was the unit is shot. A 2nd repairman revealed the unit was taken apart and left apart but only need a fan replaced.

Called for appointment for my mother-in-laws house for heating unit came out said it needed a new blower motor and heating element. He said to repair it would cost about $1600 or replace $3250. I waited couple days no callback, so I called and later that afternoon they called back and said could not get the parts and had to replace it. Had another company come out and replaced the parts for $400.NEVER CALL THEM AGAIN

My HVAC system went out, and they were very quick to respond, as well as installing the system the next day. Very professional, and they performed quality work. Definitely recommend!

Overall....... extremely impressed. I read some of the reviews and to large extent agree with both sides. Not that anyone is dumb but, it is a specialized service. Meaning....... when you call, youre not being routed to the next available A/C tech but, rather to a very capable individual that has always done as I asked. Is the owner or service manager available? Maybe not that second but soon enough. I would suspect that your questions where not the average, Its making a, flipity-flop-bam noise that you can hear in the thinga-magiggy! How much to fix it?.

Chose affordable air & heat to do new build installation. Been in home 3 to 4 weeks and had to have them come out to make some adjustments and they did so timely and professionally. Would recommend.

They installed a new system for us. They really did a fantastic job, the installers showed up on time, did quality work, and cleaned up when done. Count us as very pleased.

Larry is a great technician who can clearly explain exactly whats wrong with your system. They work to earn your business & are affordable like the name says.

Called for my AC to be serviced. The technician showed up late and said he unable to look at my AC unit because it was too hot. I was still charged $85.00.

Larry saved me thousands of dollars after Figuring out what was actually wrong with my AC unit. He came same day and was very knowledgeable.
