Chris came out on a day that we absolutely needed hot water and was very professional. He diagnosed the problem; our tank had leaked at the anode cover and shorted the electronics on a hot water heater we expected would need replacement soon. He advised us on getting our system up to code and was very competitive to other quotes we had. Joseph was very professional. He diagnosed the problem, gave me several alternatives along with prices. Once I made my decision Joseph got it done. My faucet in the kitchen looks great, works perfectly and is guaranteed for parts and work. My outside water faucet actually produces water now that Joseph replaced the old one. Reed and Michael spent several days at our new home. The job included underground trenching to get power to our home, pulling wire, wiring the home, installing amps and main breaker panels, wiring and installing shop lights. The technician was great. But they seem very money hungry…. Technician came, found a blown fuse and replaced it. The issue was that it was such an easy and quick fix, he just did it.First, the estimate is supposed to be free according to the website, they tried to charge me until I brought that up.They wanted to initially charge me 500 and then 200 for a couple minutes of service….they are suppose to give an estimate to give you the choice, I did not get that option.We settled for the initial charge of coming out here for the estimate, $89.00.The purpose of this is to tell you that they will over charge, give you charges they don’t have to, and have a poor customer focused mentality. It is all about getting the most money out of the customer. I would recommend finding another company.

Logan replaced and diagnosed my faulty PLV at my meter that had been causing water hammer for 2 months . I had 2 other plumbing companies come out and they were unable to determine the problem , they sold me on replacing 2 hose bibs and the other company charged me to flush my water heaters to no avail and water money . Blue Ribbon tech Logan was spot on diagnosing the problem and also installed a resister at my shorter . I would highly recommend. Very experienced and nice tech . 5 stars .

Issues from a prior local plumbers work left us with a blocked sewer line at 3 pm the Tuesday afternoon before Thanksgiving. Calling around to not only the local plumber that caused the issue, but many of the other local plumbers, surprised me that not one provided any emergency service, including one that indicated their next appointment was mid-December. I contacted Blue Ribbon. and within 10 minutes. they revised their schedule to get to us within a two-hour window (including the travel time to Wimberley). Noah arrived a little after 4 pm, videoed and diagnosed the issue, and not only cleared the blockage but also the sanitary line by 6 pm.Hats off to a plumber (Noah) and a plumbing company (Blue Ribbon) that both really know the meaning of customer service, even when we were not a prior customer. We are now.
We had a big problem that involved convincing a fretful new tenant that her beautiful new shower was indeed usable despite having a missing screw in its handle. Noah showed up promptly, was sweet and capable, and successful on all fronts. So glad we found him!

I don’t even want to give one star to this company. Joseph and Blue Ribbon are criminals. I’m writing this review to prevent anyone from contacting them, as they will attempt to take you for all your money and scam you by overcharging you. I was told when I called that someone would come out for FREE & diagnose the problem, prior to actually charging me. This Joseph guy shows up and attempts to charge me for diagnosing the problem. Then proceeds to tell me I need a new grinder pump and that my current one is done. He didn’t even attempt to fix it. He told me it would be $8500 (a new liberty pump like mine is $2000). He then proceeded to tell ne my control panel also needed to be replaced. It was fine. Nothing wrong with it at all. I had another company come fix my grinder pump for $50 and it’s good as new within 20 minutes. DO NOT USE THIS SCAM COMPANY. All older homeowners, please be aware. Google the product you need and do your own research.
We are a large company and nothing I appreciate more is that when I have a problem someone comes in and handles it. Blue Ribbon was able to get out their and find the problem and fix it quickly. Took about hour and then met with me and explained everything in detail they found. Explained what needed to be fixed and estimates. They were very thorough and helpful. A new HVAC unit was installed on 5/2 and worked for 2 hours, so I called it in and the technician came out at 7:30 on 5/3 and reset the factory default to the correct voltage and now it is working great. They are very professional and fast. Highly recommend.

I have been on the Board of Directors of Redwood Community Center, Inc., dba Centro Esperanza for many years. Deans Shop has been wonderful about helping us with our needs at the community center. When we first built the center in 2013, they helped us decide what would be the best way to heat and cool our small building. They installed the equipment for us and have kept it going well for 10 years. Minor repairs were taken care of immediately. I highly recommend Deans Shop. They are a great company to work with.

I called up Deans to deal with some issues I was having with the venting in the kitchen of the house we just moved into. I find Walter Mott and Deans shop superb for a/c and electrical solutions. Although i do get competitive estimates for due diligence, in the end, I would not hire anyone else. The estimates are always close and I trust Deans shop to do a good job and be fair with me. Plus, Walt is just a great human!
Our warranty company sent out another HVAC company out to fix our AC. This other company came to our home 3 times over the course of 2 weeks, and were never able to fix it. Our warranty company then sent out Dean’s Shop, I explained the situation to the 2 gentlemen who showed up, and they promised they wouldn’t leave until the AC was fixed. I admit, I was skeptical at 1st because the 1st company had already been out 3 times. However, the two nice men stayed for 2 1/2 hours working in our very hot attic, and fixed the unit. I am very happy with their dedication and professionalism. I wish our warranty company would have called them 1st!
This fine organization worked with me to install the exact equipment specified, insured that it was properly installed and operating as designed. Maintenance has been performed when requested with personnel arriving as scheduled, executing all tasks in an efficient and professional manner and ensuring that the workspace was as tidy or tidier than when they arrived. All in all, I am quite pleased with all aspects of the purchase, installation, and maintenance of the system that I obtained from them. I highly recommend them to any and all that wish to have a high quality experience as mine.

I was having trouble with my ac unit in June. It was working and all of a sudden, it quit. I had just had a new air handler installed last Sep so was quite worried about what could have happened now. I called Deans as I am happy with their work & I trust Mr. Mott. He came out looked over the unit & found a couple of wires on the outside unit had come loose. He quickly fixed them and it is working great! Thanks.

Great communication from start to finish. Walter is extremely cognizant of today’s climate and arrived with a mask and gloves on. He stated his safety procedures to protect himself and his community and proceeded to begin his AC work. When job was complete, reviewed work done with proper social distancing measures in place and then proceeded to let me know about their contactless invoice process. In conclusion, I just found my new “AC peeps” and you will too when y’all give them a call. Support local!
We had a wedding planned at the house, had spent countless weekends wrapping the oak trees in lights, built a pavilion with lighting, the whole works. The day before the wedding the gcfi blew. ( all was well previously) we got a referral to Deans shop from our neighbor and they came out the next day and took care of us, going as far as working out where things should be plugged to have all the lights working for the wedding. We were so impressed we scheduled an appointment for Walter to come out to give an estimate on a service package. I can’t say enough about this company, they have gone above and beyond. Very fair, very friendly and professional. We will be using them for any future electrical needs.

Worst AC company I have ever used and I will never use them again. Poor service, repairman was an hour late and didnt have the part I needed. They did attempt to sell me the part for 232 dollars (after his boss dropped it off) when the local electrical shop had it for 6 dollars. The repairman shocked himself and I noticed some of my outside wires turned black after that. I did the repair they said I needed to do which was to put a new fuse in the system which is a simple fix. This of course didnt solve the problem (surprise, surprise) so I called and spoke to the owner and they told me there was nothing they would do about the situation. They told me that the tech shouldnt be teaching me how to work on the system but I was interested and asking him questions. The owner was extremely unprofessional with me during the whole phone call. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this business. If I could rate the company lower than 1 star, I would.
This is not the first time Luis has serviced our unit. He is always punctual, thorough, and kind. What more could you ask for?

Quality work, excellent customer service, reasonably priced. You will not regret choosing Deans Shop. They rewired my home installing a new meter, post and panel, removing the old knob and tube wiring.
I needed a quick estimate on a/c repair and Deans was able to check it out the same day. They responded very quickly to my emails and gave me a very detailed quote for both repair and replacement.
I just paid Deans Shop $904 for a repair of my air conditioner. THe repair man was here 3 hours at most and mostly recharged the refrigerant in my system and apparently fixed the leak. Seems very high to me and I was unable to get detailed costs of labor and parts. I was told that they just dont do it anymore and that was for my protection. Well, I just dont get it. They want to sell a new unit but if they overcharge at the same magnitude for new equipment I would have to mortgage my house to pay for it. Fortunately I have an alternative.
The office staff to the service techs are very friendly and knowledgeable. No one has tried to up-sale me or sell me anything I didnt need. The work they do is first class not halfas*. I believe they are a very honest company.
Had a clogged primary and secondary drain lines. Water pan overflowed and caused water to leak on ceiling. Called Deans Shop due to high customer review rating. Tech came out and said the pan was not good and had to be replaced. Only problem, pan was no longer in stock, and we needed a custom made one. Left without unclogging drain lines to go work up a quote. Got call next day. Replace the water pan (a $50 part and not truly a custom item), $900+. Unclog the drains, another $100+. Put a float switch (a $20 part) on so AC would shut off next time the water pan filled up, $350+. Whole job, $1,500. Thankfully, my dad knows an AC guy in Houston and he told us a reasonable cost for everything was $300. Called second AC company, he came and unclogged lines immediately, total quote $350. Big difference between $1,500 and $350. Shameful business practice if you ask me.
This place does not even deserve one star! The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my career in Retail Operations. We have over 60 retail stores throughout the state of Texas, and I have dealt with many vendors...this one by far is the WORST! The girl/lady in the office that goes by Danetta is extremely rude and unprofessional. She even suggested to have the uncompleted work undone and call someone else out! WOW...what a way to represent the company you work for lady! If you want to get ripped off, and disrespected...this is the place to go!! They are charging us over $700 for refrigerant. They say they added 8 pds...Ha..lets see how true that is...We are paying someone else go out to check that.)If you want to get treated the way a paying customer should get treated, and get charged a reasonable price, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! You wont be sorry you did!!!

Deans shop provides services to our AC / Heating system and we receive check-ups twice a year. Though we havent had anything major done, we have experienced very friendly and knowledgeable technicians who answer all of our amateur questions with patience and respect.

Don’t expect to have repairs done quickly when parts need to be ordered. There is a waiting time these days from the manufacturer but Deans shop installs as soon as they receive them. And they provide heaters while you wait if you need them.
