I cannot recommend Zimmerman AC and Heating enough. Luke and his team did an amazing job replacing our entire AC and heating system. We had 4 different companies come out to evaluate our old unit and his team was the most honest, identified all potential issues/code violations that other companies missed, and was one of the most affordable! I would hire them again in a heartbeat and would recommend them to anyone who needs work done or needs new AC/heating units!
Had an issue with my AC. Called and they had someone out the same day, diagnosed the problem and worked diligently to solve the issue. The entire team was very helpful and professional, going above and beyond to ensure the issue was resolved. I cannot recommend them highly enough!
Today on the coldest day of winter so far and snow on the ground our heater went on the blitz. I called Zimmerman AC and they were here in under an hour. I explained to Terry the issues at hand and what we have been dealing with ever since we replaced this unit a few years ago. We went out the unit and began to talk, about what had been serviced and worked just a month ago and all the service calls over the past couple years with this new system. Impressed doesnt even begin to cover it. He is knowledgeable and definitely knows what hes talking about, he is professional, courteous and well spoken. But the most important character trait That stands above all the rest is his ability and willingness to communicate. He informed and educated both my wife and myself to the point where we now understand why we have some of these issues and what needs to be done in order to correct them. We are extremely grateful we called Zimmerman. Im actually looking forward to spending some money to correct the inefficient and subpar workmanship that has previously tested our patience and drained our wallet. Issues after installation:1) Censor not seated correctly.2) Primary drain line was slowly draining.3) Drip pan was plugged and not connected to drain line sitting next to unit.4) Two re-scheduled appointments for a first time, new installation customer.Follow up:Installation Manager scheduled an appointment and showed up on time. Remedied slow drain issue and ran a secondary drain from the drip pan. Took care of water stains.Monitoring dry wall to see if replacement is necessary.

A/C stopped turning on and was not sure of the issue. Had water in the drain pan under the coils so knew i needed to contact a hvac company. I took photos of everything and submitted them to Zimmermann ac and explained the situation. I contacted them at 6 pm on a Tuesday night. Terry from Zimmermann immediately responded back to me and asked for my address and if he could stop by later that night to see what was going on. Terry showed up at 7pm that Tuesday night, showed me what the issue was and explained the repairs needed to be done and why the system was malfunctioning. He got the system to run temporarily to get us through the night. Now we are in the middle of getting everything fixed and Terry has given me multiple quotes so I can lay out all the options and cost differences. Will continue review after install this week.
Finally had to replace my ac system and Zimmermann was an easy choice!!! Everyone there was polite and professional from the office, to Trey our salesman, and at the end with the install team. I couldn’t be happier. Thanks again!
Zimmerman is a great company and has been servicing our HVAC units for 3 years. They are trustworthy and do not push unnecessary services or fixes on you.AC has stopped working on us at 8:00pm at night and they were able to come out that evening before 9:00pm and fix the issue quickly and affordably.
Returning from Florida visiting our son we came home to non functional A/C. It was late in the evening so we called in the morning. Zimmermann A/C came early diagnosed problem. The technician (Terry) ordered the part and rearranged his schedule for the following day and had the A/C operational by noon.Terry was great!We traveled the next day to Arizona to visit our son and grandchildren with peace of mind knowing our A/C was fixed. We returned from the trip to a cool and comfortable home.
We have worked with Zimmermann three times now, and cannot say enough good things about Terry and Abel. They first did a careful job of draining and raising our outdoor condenser about 17 months ago, in order to protect it from flooding, and then they came out last summer on short notice when it needed repair. Just recently, we had them back to install a new HVAC system, which we could not be happier with. Their work is stellar and thorough. Terry is a great communicator, and so positive and professional - if there is ever a problem, he will make it right. When it comes to HVACs in a climate like San Antonios, you dont want the cheapest, you want the best, and the best service, and you get that with Zimmerman. You will also be supporting a great local business, and their families, not some careless corporate chain. Zimmermann has our business for life.
My unit stopped heating in the middle of the night, and we were freezing. I called Zimmerman midmorning they came the same day, on time, diagnosed and fixed my A/C Heating problem right away, and charged me fairly for their expert and professional service. I was so impressed that I signed up for their regular maintenance service, and even saved some money in the process. Ill recommend them to everyone from now on.

They came out to my house multiple times to get the right system we needed. My household has a lung transplant patient under the roof so filtration was very important for me. After spending a year of multiple contractors submitting bids I picked Zimmerman because it is a local family business and Mr. Zimmerman came out and spent time explaining the pros and cons of all the options. The install guys are all Zimmerman employees they were polite, respectful, clean and very knowledgeable. When the install was completed my house was completely clean as if they had not been thereThey were competitively priced and have a great warranty. The office folks took care of all the CPS rebates. Honest, Professional, Detailed and Affordable! Zimmerman customer since 2020.Update Jan 2025: Terry recently made a service call to analyze the air flow issue in one particularly hot room in our home. He provided two common sense/cost effective solutions. In less than an hour, Terry improved the air flow to the room. We were astounded that Terry resolved the airflow problem during his initial service call. About ten years ago, a different company, which is a SA family/veteran-owned HVAC contractor, did not perform any type of tests and recommended installation of new ductwork to solve the rooms airflow problem. We appreciate Terry and Zimmermans trained professional staff to provide honest, sensible and low-cost solutions.
Our ac stopped working on Monday night. Lucas came Tuesday afternoon and was able to get it running again! He was very kind and helpful with explaining everything that was happening.
Zimmerman AC did an outstanding job and I would recommend them to anyone. My AC system had a clogged condensate drain pipe and I needed some assistance with clearing it and making sure there were no other issues affecting the system. A work colleague suggested Zimmerman and I could not be happier with the service I received. The technician, Terry, was prompt, polite, and professional. He quickly diagnosed the issue and got to work fixing it right away. Terry also spent time giving me tips and tricks for properly maintaining my system by myself, which I very much appreciated. Terry took the time to make a couple other minor fixes, such as patching up some loose tape on some of the pipe installation and even dug out some loose insulation, which had fallen into my drain pan. The price was very fair and the service was impeccable. I wholeheartedly recommend Zimmerman AC to anyone looking to fix an HVAC issue without getting taken advantage of or getting poor service. Zimmerman is top notch.
The AC techs were called to fix a unit that was leaking. The AC tech fixed the unit.. paid $250. The 2nd time we used the AC unit it started to leak again so we called Zimmerman to come back n fix. James, the manager, reviewed n said it was a plumbing issues n recommended we place the unit(they quoted $8k)... so I called to get a 2nd opinion. The 2nd company I called cleared the leak by pushing out all the dirt with a nitrogen tank. Next day, James called n asked if we made a decision for replacing the unit... I told him what happened n he was sooo offended he cancelled our $1800 maintenance agreement...And, the previous maintenance run with this company they had they installed the wrong filters... the filters were falling out of the units ...turns out they installed the cheapest filters on the market. I don’t recommend this company... owner is great... staff is incompetent 🤷🏻♀️... they never replaced the filters... I had to purchase out of my own pocket (even though it was part of the maintenance agreement)!

IT MAY SOUND SILLY, BUT I REALLY DO THINK OF THEM AS FAMILY: TREY, MICHELLE, AND AN OFFICE THAT HUMS LIKE A BEEHIVEI took estimates from seven different HVAC contractors to replace an antiquated HVAC system. One of those contractors was recommended by a neighbor across the street. This guy was going to provide me with a state-of-the-art Carrier system including a free air purifier built into the system. Cost? After the CPAC rebate for installing such an advanced system, the cost to me would have been under $10,000. Instead I paid Zimmerman $14,900 for a two-stage American Standard Gold series 17 SEER system. Why? One reason was Google reviews. The installer for the Carrier system had created a nightmare for some poor guy who thankfully took the time to write extensively about his experience, which included the installer leaving his lunch trash all over his attic. I called anyways because of my neighbor. When the same guy showed up at my house, he climbed to the top of the ladder and looked more or less directly at the HVAC system and then asked me where it was. When I told him it was behind the water heater, he got up into the attic a few feet and looked back in the direction of the HVAC system. He never walked back there. I was astonished. That was one extreme. At the other extreme of taking time to study the existing system was Zimmerman. Their guy walked back there and proceeded to have a 20 minute three-way video conference with their head mechanics. I overheard most of that discussion and was deeply impressed with their professionalism. Zimmerman likes to do things right the first time. Their concern was that the unit could not pass inspection where it was located now.No one else had even considered this possibility or even mentioned moving the unit to a better location. It was crammed in so tight that maintaining the unit was extremely difficult. I checked and their concerns were valid. There was a very good chance that those other six companies were going to replace the unit in the same location only to have it fail inspection. That would have been a living nightmare for my family.But what I really want to talk about is the quality of the install. Before the HVAC unit was relocated, most of the attic space in this house was difficult or impossible for me to access. This was a serious issue because we need to do a lot of electrical work and all of the wiring is in the attic. I explained all of this to the Zimmerman foreman and asked him to keep the middle of the attic spaces (underneath the ridges) open so that it would be possible to walk around up there. Im claustrophobic and this was very important to me. Furthermore, I explained to him that if he was not careful, the choices he made in running flexible duct would make life hard for the electrician.What these guys delivered was an installation so clean and well organized that I started comparing the attic to the inside of a church. Its immaculate. And the best part of it was the workers. I have never in my life--a significant part of which was in construction--met a crew that was as upbeat, polite, and just fun to be around. I would have been lucky to meet these guys at a formal dinner party. Having them working in my attic was a huge blessing.Everything about this company is exceptional. Everything. And oh, the system works exceptionally well including the really cool thermostat they installed. But in case we ever want to make some adjustments, these guys installed manual dampers to make it possible to adjust the airflow. No one asked them to do that. Im so impressed with Zimmerman that I will need time to work on and improve this review. Next time Ill take some pictures of their work and add them to this review.

After 23 years, my AC unit decided it was time to retire. I contacted Zimmermann and Luke was sent to help me out. Luke was very friendly, professional, informative and answered all my questions. His service was excellent and left me feeling reassured I made the right decision on the replacement unit. Everyone I have worked with at Zimmermann has been beyond helpful and I feel like they truly strive to do the best for their customers.
Was a long time customer of a different HVAC company who had become much more pricey and significantly less responsive/attentive. When my 20 yr old system stopped working recently...again, I decided to try another route. I was made aware of Zimmerman through friends of mine and decided to call. Phone rang twice and within minutes had an appointment scheduled for 2 days later. Trey arrived right on time and immediately proceeded to provide very informative and professional service. Within an hour my AC was fixed, I was a member of their club and was having estimates for a new system drawn up. I was given 3 options, all of which consisted of better equipment, a better system and considerably more affordable than quoted by others (including who I was a long standing member of for years). We’ve used Zimmerman at our home for everything involving our air and heating after hearing great things from my in-laws. They have. Not disappointed at all! They’re always on time, very professional, and get straight to the repairs/work needed. They’re also always great with my kids, but that’s never a requirement! Zimmermann just installed a new American Standard system for me. It went perfectly. Owners, techs, and office staff are top-level professionals and enjoyable to do business with. Over the past 30+ years, they are the best I have found.
For reasons unknown to me my thermostat kept resetting itself, I did not think anything of it, I thought it needed a battery replacement, no Biggy. Then one day my AC/heating system went out. I heard a clunking sound and a bang, then it stopped working. I called Zimmerman Air Conditioning and Heating. They gave me a same-day appointment. They were upfront with the cost for them to come out and give me a repair estimate. I had a bad thermostat; my blower motor went out and I had a damaged blower wheel assembly caused by a previous electrical surge and repairs. I had no clue what just had happened to my AC/Heating system, Dave the technician took his time and effort to help me understand what all that had gone wrong with my system. I was feeling hopeless and unsure about everything, but Dave answered all of my questions and concerns. I was very pleased and thankful that he was so helpful. They were so thorough that the owner Terry came out, and he was great, he reassured me that I could be confident in their work and the quality of the replacement equipment that they utilized. Terry the owner meant business he had Max bring the replacement parts, making the work that needed to be done quickly and very efficient. The company is very much invested in giving back to the community and has a special program available to clients in need of services with financial restrictions, I was able to utilize the program. I was so impressed by Zimmerman’s services, I never write reviews, because they are qualified professionals, but I had to. My system is now working fine, I am so happy with my AC/heating system. I highly recommend their services.

I am very happy to share my experience with Carla this morning. I called to get pricing on adding refrigerant to my system and though she did not have that information on hand, she reached out to a tech to get me the information I needed. I had called 6 other companies prior to calling Zimmerman and only one of them would give me pricing over the phone. I dont know if they give phone quotes for every service but it really made my day to get that level of customer service from Zimmerman and Carla specifically!
Luke was extremely professional and knowledgeable when he came over to work on my AC. he was on time and kept me informed of what was being done. I have always had a great experience with Zimmerman AX services and will continue to use them for any AC needs.
I switched to Zimmerman from another company, and was so, SO impressed! Luke, who did the initial visit for regular maintenance and fine-tuning of the system which hadnt been done since 2020 was extremely helpful in finding the causes for some of the things that had been frustrating us. He also took the time to SHOW me the problems, taking me up into the attic for myself so I could see what was going on and why he was recommending the solutions he did. Then, when we scheduled the repairs that we agreed were necessary, he was there again to work with and explain directly to the installation crew what needed to happen. In many situations like this, one person does the inspection and recommendations, and then a different crew of people come in to do the work, sometimes leaving some questions or unanswered issues. The direct handover worked great in this instance and were so happy. They also left our attic so CLEAN after they finished! The previous installers left much of their trash up there, but the Zimmerman crew took all their waste out, leaving it looking much, MUCH better than when they started. They were also able to get us scheduled quickly for both the initial visit and the subsequent repairs, although we werent in the hottest part of the summer. I cant recommend them enough!
I needed a new 14 Steer Unit. Called 2 different companies for estimates. 1 company came out and gave me an estimate, but would not return my calls with additional questions I wanted to ask. The other one did not return my call. I called Zimmerman and received excellent service from day one. Trey came by and walked me through everything I needed to know, plus I received a great price for a new unit. On 8/10/2021, Taylor, Edward and Max did the installation. These young gentlemen did a excellent job!! They worked for 8.5 hours, stopping only for breaks and lunch. It was hot inside and out of the home. I was so impressed. Wow! Great company! I am totally satisfied. Company like Zimmerman are rare these days. They deliver everything I wanted and needed. Thank you again for excellent service!!
Zimmerman AC was extremely professional from beginning to end. Booking was simple, with confirmation before appointment provided electronically and by telephone call. Trey even called to see if he may arrive early. He was friendly and professional. He spent 7 hours at our home, extensively going through each unit. I appreciated how he took time to make sure the job was done well. He was extremely conscientious with cleanliness, wearing booties each time he came in the house, and vacuuming debris from opening the attic. He spent quite a bit of time going over his findings with us and explaining the meaning and possible options to keep our AC running smoothly. Overall great professional experience. Highly recommend.
My A/C picked a Saturday to stop working and after calling a few places Zimmermann answered and were able to come out. They diagnosed the problem, gave me a few options for repair, but were not pushy at all. Since it was old anyway I decided to get a whole new HVAC system. They gave me a fair price and the installation was very thorough and even did a follow to make sure everything was good. I went ahead a signed up for these guys to due the regular maintenance, highly recommend Zimmermann A/C and Heating.

Zimmerman came to my home to clean the coils and blower motor on my unit. They did a fantastic job, went above and beyond when they found a defective blower motor. They went and got the part under warranty and fixed it while they were doing their cleaning. Nice! The price was fair the service was great. I would use them again and I certainly would recommend them.

We recently had a wonderful experience with the team at Zimmermann. Our initial call was for service on our 18 year old compressor. Trey arrived on time and was very thorough in his work. When we made the decision to replace the system, he walked us through every detail and made sure all of our questions were answered.On installation day Taylor arrived on time and did a great job taking out the old system and installing the new one. He answered all of our questions and made sure we knew how to operate the system before he left. When our A/C suddenly stopped working on a 100 degree day after work we needed after hours help fast. I was lucky to find Zimmerman because in under 1 hour our repairman arrived. We ended up needing a new capacitor which was replaced. Prices were transparent and our repairman was honest about what we needed. No pressure sales. Both the service and our interactions with our repairman were professional, friendly, and very pleasant. We also purchased the service plan and are very happy.I definitely recommend their business. Most recently we had our A/C serviced for the first time since the above and Luke found that thr previous owner of our home (purchased in 2020) had improperly installed and programed our Trane System in 2018 and never turned on the secondary system controlling humidity. Thank you for catching it and fixing it for us. I dont trust any other company in San Antonio. We appreciate you guys.
I had the unfortunate experience of having my heater quit working on Christmas. I was able to get Zimmerman out here and from start to finish they have been amazing people to work with. Omar was knowledgeable and friendly. He got it running but it was just too old. Jonathan came out and he was very fun to talk to we decided to get the heater replaced. Taylor and Rene came out Monday to put in some insulation into my attic and did an amazing job (they are installing my heater next). Terry was able to find a unit and got that over here same day! Thank you for doing an amazing job each interaction I was left smiling even though the situation was pretty grim.
Had a third party come from Best Buy to install new thermostat and they ended up blowing the ac an thermostat. Zimmerman was able to send out the same afternoon, on a Saturday. Omar was very friendly and professional. He diagnosed and fixed the issue quickly. He then spent several minutes explaining the features of our thermostat and preventative maintenance. House was cool and wife was happy. Thank you!
I was referred to Zimmermanns by a neighbor who have been clients of theirs for decades. I called and had next day appointment to assess/ inspect my AC. Trey arrived on time and did about a 70 minute inspection. He was professional and explained all tests, the results (including pictures) and recommendations clearly. And, patiently answered all my many questions. He outlined payments options which I found quite reasonable.(this was my 3rd consult)I now have next day appointment to have all repairs completed. I recommend calling Zimmermann’s for your AC and heating needs.
After reading many reviews, and seeing they had good results, I decided to give Zimmerman a shot. I have to say, I was surprisingly disappointed. I was trying to get a quote on our AC outdoor unit replaced, and a whole system replacement. Zimmerman had reviews of being the best priced and decent results. This company first canceled on me the day they were scheduled to come out, which is understandable as life happens. When they did arrive on the next scheduled day, I felt the associate spoke highly of how their product, American Standard A/C, were above all because of the extensive training they go through to install the unit. He even stated the company who makes American Standard, which is Trane, was not as good as AS because American Standard requires the training to be able to install their units to basically last better. So why does Trane exist if they can make a better product with American Standard, being Trane has always been ranked as a higher product. I went ahead and proceeded with getting the quote, but it turned out the verbal quote was higher than getting a Carrier, Goodman, Whirlpool, and I believe even a Trane quote I received. I mentioned this to the Zimmerman associate, and thanked him for coming out. He said he would send me the quotes via email, and they were never sent out. I supposed he decided it was not worth his time since he knows I received less expensive quotes for products with similar qualities. It was a real bummer after reading so many great reviews, ours was nowhere close. Wish the best for Zimmerman, but maybe focus on not saying how other products are bad, and focus on the customers needs.
The technician told me the transformer was out. He replaced it and unit still didn’t work. Then he told me my board was out. I asked him to call someone and it turns out neither the transformer or the board were the cause of the problem. But he demanded I pay for replacement of transformer. Great salesman but very poor technician.
Zimmerman Air Conditioning & Heating were great. Called that morning and somebody was out there that same day. Omar and Anthony were able to figure out the problem, explain what to do to prevent from happening again, and able to give a great reasonable price for all the repairs. Omar and Robert came within the allotted/indicated time. Our Unit unexpectedly stopped working and they got it repaired promptly. He was kind, courteous, informative, and was willing to discuss the ins and outs of our unit and future maintenance we can do to help prolong the life of our unit. We felt heard and the interaction felt genuine and not like we we’re just another number. I’m really glad we switched from the other company we were using and called Zimmerman instead!

Guys that installed were great. However just after the 2 year warranty things started going bad. We have been calling to get it fixed but keep getting told they will call us back then never do. It has gone from not cooling properly, to making noises, now leaking water and ruining my house making us sick. Still no calls back.
David and Omar were extremely knowledgeable and professional. Both gentlemen explained every service provided and even encouraged me to observe the work performed. They did more than I expected and for a reasonable fee. They also guaranteed their work and asked me to call them if there were any other issues abd they would not hesitate to come out. They were both friendly and polite.
I called today and needed same day service for an AC unit that wasnt cooling. They were able to accommodate my service request and were even able to come 3 hours ahead of schedule which in this heat is AWESOME!!! Omar was my technician he was very courteous, informative, and knowledgeable. He promptly diagnosed the system, went through the unit and made some recommendations. He welcomed me to walk through the inspection and repair work with him. He was very transparent and trustworthy. After explaining the issue to him, Omar went up to the attic to look at our ducts. He was very knowledgeable and was able to explain what he found and some possible solutions. We asked him to seal a duct to force more air into a hot room. Procedure was successful and gave us the air flow we needed. Price was fair for service done. Future repair suggestions also sent to us by email.
Our AC stopped cooling in the early morning of Memorial Day. We gave Zimmerman Services a call and they were able to come out same day and repair our AC very quickly. The technician, Albert, was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Also, Id like to note that the lady who set our appointment over the phone was super sweet, which made me feel like we had definitely chosen the right company. I would recommend them and plan on using them again in future!

First we were impressed with the Zimmermann sales person; he seemed knowledgeable but also down to earth and fair, willing to work with us a little on price which is more than other companies would or could ever do probably due to their strict corporate structure. Most importantly though, the Zimmermann price for the system we ended up purchasing was literally thousands less than other companies but for a far superior unit! Something that just doesn’t happen much these days.We know that Zimmermann is a strong family-owned company. This was evident once the installation crew started working. They were professional but also kind and considerate. They went out of their way to honor a request we had about one of the pipes, something we know big corporate companies would not be able to honor. Our services with Zimmerman started in 2022 with annual maintenance on our HVAC system. When we had our annual summer service done for the start of the 2023 summer season the technician noticed we had some issues with our HVAC system. They offered us a couple of different solutions to address our needs. We decided to go with installing a brand new HVAC. They were very thorough on everything that was going to be included in the price of our new AC. We were able to get financing quickly and the install was done the very next week. Willie Garza and Max went above and beyond. They were respectful, on time and very clean. I just want to say that I woke up at 3 in the morning freezing with my thermostat only sitting at 75. I thought I was in someones elses house. I highly recommend Zimmerman air conditioning for any of your HVAC needs. We have found our forever company with Zimmermanfor sure.
I got home from work to a non working a/c. The system was installed just 15 months ago, so something had to be wrong. Called the phone number even though Google said they were closed and lo & behold, someone picked up and about 30 minutes later, Timothy showed up at almost 9pm and took the time to figure out what was going on. Almost two hours to troubleshoot and repair. Probably the best customer service I could have hoped for. In the heat and dark, he was determined to get the job done. Truly a testament to old school customer service and commitment to getting the job done. For such a young man, really a diamond in the rough. Great hire Zimmerman and thank you for picking up the phone after hours! I had been up since 330am after taking my wife to the airport and a full days work. We needed a new HVAC system. After obtaining five independent bids, my husband and I decided you use Zimmerman. Terry came out to give us a bid (he was 1 of 2 that actually looked at the attic ductwork). Terry was very informative and patient with all our questions. Able and his crew did the installation. They were punctual, polite and worked many long hours. Clean-up was done daily. including removal of all ducts and components. These guys work without breaks! We highly recommend this company!
This company used to be known as the go to for all your AC needs, one Ive referred time and time again. Not sure what has changed over the last few years but theyre no longer as reputable.They do not communicate properly with customers nor amongst each other. If you talk to one person the next will say something entirely different. Theyre a mess! Sadly I continued to give them the benefit of a doubt but with so many changes from payment, services and employees themselves its hard to keep hope.Save yourself the trouble and go to the Nextdoor app for your neighbors to help get you a more reliable AC company.Use Beluga Air for your AC needs and The Bearded Plumber for your plumbing. Great company! Aunt needed help and I didn’t know who to call had a friend tell me about Zimmerman I checked out reviews and was impressed. They were on time and very informative. Pretty sure her system is going to die soon but Zimmerman helped her get all the life that’s left in it so they will be our choice and Omar our Tech when she does need her next system.
Excellent customer service all around. Friendly dispatcher and the technicians have been very professional and honest. I have used Zimmerman twice, once to diagnose and change a condenser, and then again during a freeze when my heat went out. The technician got my heat working again and because it was a simple solution, did not charge me for the visit. This is my go to a/c company from now on.

I have used Zimmerman exclusively for several years and they have always been very responsive and great to work with. Recently, when my AC wouldnt turn on, I called Zimmerman on a Saturday night and they had a repair person at my house at 8:00 the next morning (Sunday) to fix it.Luke and Terry feel like old friends and I trust them completely. I called Wednesday morning, needing service on our heater which ceased working Tuesday. I was scheduled for a late afternoon service call, but an opening became available within a couple of hours. That was a very pleasant surprise. The Zimmerman service tech - David - showed up and was very polite, informative and professional. He explained which part failed and its function. My AC went out last Wednesday. Within 30 minutes of calling the amazing Trey came to my house, did a thorough inspection of my ductwork, AC system, and thermostat and gave me an honest assessment. He guided me through the different systems sold by the company and even managed to get me a special unit that fit my needs better than those normally carried.Today I had an awesome crew that worked tirelessly for 12 hours to get my system installed correctly and cleanly. They fastidiously protected and cleaned their entire workspace, in addition to the flawless install they provided. They did so with a great attitude and radiant smile even though it was toasty in my attic. Taylor, Max and Rene are champs and by far the most pleasant home repair professionals I have worked with.I cant recommend Zimmerman enough - more so since not only were they the most professional of the 5 AC companies that gave me quotes, but they did so at an honest and fair price.
Recently needed a new unit and new duct work done. Had the pleasure of meeting James who has been from day 1 very polite and professional. The crew that came to the house were also very good. They showed up on time and were quick to work. I cant think of any negatives to point at. And the company has been responsive with help even after installation. With that being said if youre in the market for a new unit or duct work. The Zimmerman Company does deserve the chance to come by to your home and sit with you to help with you ac needs. Will update review in the future if anything ever changes. But Im confident that Ill be working with this company for years to come.
Timothy was awesome. He arrived on time to the appointment I scheduled for a routine inspection of my unit. He conducted tests of the outside unit and inside unit located in the attic. Timothy was knowledgeable of all the parts and functions of my AC unit. He provided feedback and tips on how to keep my AC running great. He answered all my questions without making me feel like I was a burden or waste of his time, he even asked at the end if I had any other concerns he could help me with.The value of the service he performed was affordable. Tim showed up on time and was very informative the entire time he was here. Cleaned the drain pipes and ran diagnostics to make sure everything was accounted for and working properly. Didn’t leave until he was satisfied the issue was resolved and made sure I knew what was going on the entire way. Absolutely love Zimmerman and have had nothing but amazing experiences with them since they installed our AC.
The absolute best is San Antonio. I used three other companies before Zimmerman and is hands down the best at what they do. In fact, I had them replace my old systems and I could not be happier with the result to include lower electric and gas bills, and and a cleaner house. You can tell a lot from how someone treats you after they know they _wont_ be getting your business. When Terry couldnt match some of the other quotes we got, he still offered himself as a resource, suggesting details to ask about and specifics to check on for the different types of equipment we were considering from other companies. He wasnt the only HVAC installer who told me a big part of his job was educating people, but he was one of the few whom I believed when he said it. He was knowledgeable and generous with his time, treating me as a person rather than just a potential customer. I think he would have been a pleasure to work with, and if I ever need to replace an AC in San Antonio again, I will certainly give Zimmermann a call.
This weekend I learned 2 very important lessons about AC service. First, make sure your service company provides weekend and holiday service. Second, dont fear trying a new air-conditioning service thats not known to you. I had contacted my regular AC service on a Sunday when predicted temperatures would be 102 degrees and was told she could not get a service man out to my home on a weekend and the next availability would be Wednesday! This occurred during the first hottest weekend that we had in San Antonio.In a leap of faith after reading their five star reviews I contacted Zimmerman AC and was connected with Luke who was very professional and understanding despite me admitting that I had another AC service that wouldnt come out to my home. He had someone at my home within 3 to 4 hours. By my description Luke already knew what could possibly be wrong with my unit. He did tell me upfront that the weekend diagnostic fee was more than what their usual fee was but I was glad to pay it after the service that I received. Which brings me to Omar, it was like seeing an angel. He was very efficient, professional and courteous. Thankfully my unit was only in need of a new capacitor.Zimmerman now has a new loyal customer. And Ive already given their name and number to several of my friends. All I have to say about my previous AC company is Elmer one hour who....Thank you Luke and Omar!

Ive had Zimmerman AC come for spring/fall maintenance for 3 years. I have been pleased with each technician sent out. Very thorough and professional. They do have recommendations after each visit, but are not pushy is purchasing any upgrade to units. I would love to add the air scrubber which purifies air but havent decided for sure. Give them a call, you will be more than pleased!

This is my second time to call Zimmerman in the last month. David first came out to clear the AC drain line on a Saturday and today he came back for Heating maintenance check. They called ahead, he was on time, efficient, professional and courteous. I have signed up for their monthly service to cover two maintenance checks per year at a reasonable price. Update: 16 Nov 22Zimmerman AC continues to be my HVAC company of choice. A big shout out to David for his attention to detail on my unit during my Fall maintenance tune up!I reached out to Zimmermann AC as a recommendation made via the Next Door App. I am very glad that I went with them because immediately I felt like I was given an honest (non-money hungry) diagnosis of the problem I was having in my home. The service manager, Mr. Albert Gonzales laid out a plan of replacing my entire duct system (original to 1982 built home) and adding insulation in the attic. I decided to go through with the service that was just completed on 1/31/2019. The technicians were kind and helpful. The ducts are working great and the insulation in my attic was raised from an R8 value to close to an R50! Kudos to Omar for making sure my house was left in a very clean condition after their work was done and to Albert for making the entire process painless. I definitely recommend using this company for your future AC service needs!

My unit went out 2 days before we were to get freezing temperature. I called Zimmermann A/C & Heating. A young lady named Christina quickly scheduled a same day appt. The repairman by the name of Stevie was on time & started to work on the unit. He was very professional & explained to me what repairs needed to be made. He was at my home several hours & had to return the next day with additional parts. He then came with Omar Reyes, the Field Service Manager & together they were able to fix my unit before the freeze hit San Antonio. I was very impressed with my overall experience from the point of contact to completion of the repair.

I have happily used Zimmerman’s AC in a commercial capacity for many years and on Sunday night, the AC in my house was having issues. We called And talked to Terry, who actually walked us through an easy fix (just a fuse) and didn’t charge us a dime for his time or come out and charge us tons of money to fix something so simple. This is not my first great experience with Zimmerman’s but it was the first time I needed help with something at my own home and they were just as awesome there as they’ve always been When I needed them in the past. GREAT company, I highly recommend them!
We called several AC companies and even paid the service fee for them to leave after their outrageous quote and lack of professionalism. Then Eric came out today from Zimmermann Air Conditioning and was AMAZING! He showed up on time and was extremely friendly. He showed up with a mask on which is great during these covid times and even put on booties over his work boots when entering house.He was very understanding to our issues and did an excellent job explaining what was going on with our unit. He provided some fantastic options that were all very reasonable and better than quotes we received from their competitors. We happily paid and will definitely be calling Zimmermann for any of our air conditioning needs.Zimmermann now has a customer for life and when we need a unit replaced, there will be only one company we call and that’s Zimmermann! Quick response to an inoperable AC. Scheduled a time for repair and then called with an opening to come well in front of scheduled time because they had an opening. Stevie came for repair. Stevie was knowledgeable, kind, honest and repaired exactly what we needed in under an hour without any crazy upselling I have experienced with other AC companies. Great communication. Reliable. Honest. I am a realtor and have used Zimmerman several times for listings. Will continue to use personally for my own home.
My Central unit went out and I needed a fix asap. I called Zimmerman a little before 4pm and by 4:15 someone was at my door. From the initial call to the last step, it was a great experience. I highly recommend Zimmerman Services!!!I woke up to a warm house one morning and realized the AC fan was blowing, but the compressor was not coming on. I called before 8 a.m. and received a return call shortly after I left the message. I was on the schedule for a technician to arrive before lunch the same day. I received a call from the technician (Carlos) a little before 9 a.m. to let me know he was on the way to my house. He quickly discovered that ants had gotten into the contacts and he had the part required to do the repair in his van. Not only did he make the required repair, he sprayed a couple of wasp nests in the area and gave me a recommendation on how to help prevent this from happening again. Carlos made the repairs, cleaned everything up and was gone by 10:30 a.m. He was very courteous and professional!Fast, friendly service at a very fair price.I will definitely use Zimmermann Services for any and all future AC and heating needs.
We are very pleased with choosing Zimmerman A/C for our a/c needs. We had to have our old system replaced and everyone we dealt with at Zimmerman were all very professional and very nice. They even had portable cooling units we could have used if we had needed them during the day while the unit was changed out. The guys arrived on time and finished on time. It was over 90 degrees that day and the Omar spent most of the day in the attic which I know was very hot. He still had a smile on his face at the end of the day. Michael was the other installer and explained everything about the new thermostat to us and answered all of our other questions. Austin was also in and out making sure everything was going well, which it was. The system runs great and is so quiet you have to look in the top of the compressor unit to make sure the fan is running. It cools the house well and am looking forward to lower electric bills. Luke was our initial contact and answered all of our questions thoroughly so we knew we were choosing the correct system for our needs. I feel everyone went above and beyond in customer service which is greatly appreciated. They will continue to be our a/c service company. Thank you to everyone at Zimmerman!!
I always receive great service from Zimmerman. I subscribe to their Annual Maintenance program, they call me every Spring(AC) and Fall(Heating) to schedule maintenance, I never have to think about it and Ive never had any problem with our A/C or Heating. Omar, especially, does a great job and is always knowledgeable, respectful and courteous!
Excellent and courteous service! Very punctual and informative. I’ve been looking for a company I can trust for my AC/Furnace service and Zimmerman AC was recommended by my neighbor. Of course my 1994 furnace would start acting up during the coldest time in San Antonio! Jonathan, the technician, came out and recommended a part that needed replacing. Parts and labor were reasonable. Best yet was he left the heater running!
Completely lost confidence in Zimmerman A/C. Had annual maintenance/HVAC check performed Fri 8am-12pm, the technician knocked loose the main condensate drain pipe causing leak upstairs from attic (not overly concerned about simple issue, but mostly concerned with what followed). Found leak when it started dripping from our ceiling light at 9pm Fri. Called Z A/C and they said they couldnt get a tech out that night, recommended we shut off the unit, and they would have a tech first thing next morning. Did as recommended, shut down unit, and waited till am. Website says open at 8 on Sat so Ive been calling since 8am, leaving messages. Probably called 50 times this am, no answers from existing customer line, only one answer from new customer line and got hung up on. Finally received a call back at 11am, Tech Luke stated that I would have to pay them to add 2 valves and flush the system before theyd come back out. All Ive asked is that they fix the leak created by their maintenance and then I would decide whether to have them complete the recommended valves/flush.I have 2 older systems close to replacement, and Zimmerman A.C just lost out on my service/future replacement. I will not invest further time/$$$ in Zimmerman A/C again, Ill find someone else.

Not sure what has happened with Zimmerman Air Conditioning & Heating company. We called several weeks ago to get an estimate on getting a split HVAC installed and had to call back twice to get it scheduled - even though they said they would call us back. They did show up to give us and estimate but that was two weeks ago and still have not heard back from anyone. In the meantime our AC unit stopped working yesterday. We called over twenty-four hours ago to ask for help in getting it fixed and we still have not heard anything from anyone. We have since called another company to get it repaired. I am beyond disappointed as it starting to look like after the big sale is complete you guys just dont care anymore. We once felt like family but not anymore. Thanks for leaving us hanging.Trey, Able and Wille are incredible to work with. From the sales process to the moment they arrived for the installation of our new A/C unit, we have felt like family. Everyone is so respectful and honest. I would recommend them for your A/C and heating needs. Tracy at the office is also a delight. We have used Zimmerman to service our air conditioning for three years now and they have always come through for us. Today Mike and his helper installed a new air handler for us and everything went so smoothly. Albert was thorough during the inspection and with explaining the answers to my questions. My A/C unit was not cooling so I called Zimmermann after seeing the 5.0 rating. They set me up an appointment for the next day in the evening. The technician was able to arrived earlier which was great. Steven is the technician that worked on unit. He is very knowledgeable, professional and informative. As he assessed the unit he explained what he was doing step by step. When he worked on unit Steven showed the gauges and explained what the numbers were at and what they actually needed to be. He did a thorough check of the unit then went through several options to resolve issue and pricing. When he was finished Steven sent photos of his work. I am glad I called Zimmermann for my A/C service.

Timothy was a truly phenomenal technician from the minute he greeted me at the door! He was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, creative in troubleshooting and problem-solving and even collaborated with other Zimmermann team members to find a solution to a condensation issue we had with our AC unit. Thank you so much for being so responsive. I have a home warranty company that couldn’t get a contractor to the house for more than 2 days when my AC went out when it was 104 out. UPDATE 04/23/19: We just had our annual check up and had an older secondary unit at the house cleaned and serviced. Omar was the technician that came out for the work. Thanks again for all your great work!Original Review:I was referred to Zimmermann Services by a coworker. I was having issues with my Furnace not staying lit and continuing to turn off and on. Our furnace is 24 years old so I know it has limited life left in it but we wanted to get things back up and running if possible to avoid having to replace our furnace altogether. After a bit of troubleshooting we were able to get it back up and running. Terry Wallace was doing his best to get it fixed like it was his own homes unit. I appreciated his efforts and not going directly to suggesting a new unit. He did provide us a quote and compared to other companies it was better equipment for a lower cost. They have impressed me. Tried them some years ago, but left. Last year, I had an emergency at my Mothers- In - Law house. Called another company that gave me an expensive estimate. I remembered about Zimmerman.I called them and less than 40 minutes they arrived. They not only gave me a fair estimate, but didnt change parts of the air conditioning the other company told me about and was charging for, but also detected other issues, and they offered to fix them during that call.I purchased the maintenance plan then and her air conditioning has worked wonderfully.Today, my air conditioning is not working. I called them, and once again, in less than an hour, the technician is arriving (on a Saturday), and they are helping me with solutions and making my life easier.Im REALLY impressed with their improvements. Our AC went out at 0130 on a day with a projected high of 111. Their after hours folks responded to my request very quickly and then let me decide to have the regular shift work instead of treating it like an emergency. (And probably being more expensive.)The staff called me back by 0800 and we were able to get on their schedule for 1200-1400 the same day.The service technician called me by 1300 and said he’d be to the house in 30 minutes. I couldn’t get out of work to be home, but my mom was at the house and she said he was very polite. He called me and let me know what he identified as the issue and what the cost would be.It was comparably priced to other quotes I looked up.We would definitely recommend them to others. If we have AC issues in the future, I won’t have to search for a place. We will just go directly to Zimmerman.

My HVAC system (fairly new) shut off suddenly and blacked out the thermostat accordingly. I wanted an emergency service done to what I had guessed to be a blocked drain issue. Called Zimmermann services and James prioritized my call for the earliest time the next day. This was very helpful for me and speaks to their responsiveness. The next day, Omar from Zimmermann came by right on time, was very knowledgeable about the system, the issue and went about cleaning and identifying the cause. One of the main causes was also the intake air path was blocked by some temporary material due to a paint job. He went further to add an extra pipe to the external drain to divert the water from the AC unit. All of this completed in less than an hour with a discount on top made it a great customer experience. I will heartily recommend Zimmermann for any AC work and their response especially in an emergency! Thanks, guys!!
This is the first time that I have used Zimmerman Services, but it wont be the last. There service is phenomenal. I phoned their office before 7:00am this morning. I had expected to speak with an answering service but was surprised to learn I was speaking with Luke, the owner. Their technician, Omar, knocked on my door at 9:00am and had our a/c blowing cold air within 30 minutes. Their prices seem reasonable, too. I spent $368 for parts and labor combined. If you have an a/c issue, give them a call.
Contacted Terry from Zimmerman’s on Sunday morning on Labor Day weekend. I received a call back within a few minutes. The service I received was excellent. Having had my A/C go out before, I expected an immediate $100 service fee. I was truly surprised when Terry asked me to check a few things before he came out and had me check to make sure it wasn’t just the breaker - no other service company has ever done this! As I need a new system (and have known this day was coming for a while), Terry offered to bring over two portable units so that I could survive in my house until Tuesday. This is truly going above and beyond for customers and I highly recommend him and his team for your A/C needs.
This is a little delayed but I am writing another review because I have once again because Zimmerman Services has once again assisted me with my AC unit. On Aug 15th My AC unit needed to be drained and an appointment could not be scheduled until the following week. Amy was able to get a rep to my residence the following day to avoid any issues during the massive heat wave. Omar came back and was still professional and even explained to my mom what he was doing. Omar’s customer service really impressed my mother and she even stated that she would call you for any AC units issues for her home. Zimmerman Services is one of the best companies I have had experience with and Amy and Omar Insured that we would be ok during this heat wave. Thank you again. We had a total of four AC companies come to our home to offer recommendations and estimates for replacing our AC units. Our friend and neighbor, Dave Wright, recommended Zimmermann Air Conditioning and Heating, and we are so glad he did because Zimmermann AC and Heating was-BY FAR-the most professional and affordable AC company. They offer top-of-the-line equipment built in America, but they do NOT charge an arm and a leg for it. Luke came to our home to present different options. He was very prepared and had several packages to offer us. He created a comprehensive folder that clearly laid out the different options offered and what each would cost. There were no questions left unanswered. Luke took his time and explained everything which was of great comfort to us. The team that completed the equipment installation was very professional with the work re-inspected by the owner. We have not experienced such a professional and honest small business like this before. After several companies giving us a quote for a new HVAC system Zimmermann was by far the best deal when comparing price, service, and quality. Albert came to give us an estimate and was thorough and informative. We went ahead and scheduled a full replacement, Albert called the night before to see if we had any questions and followed up after the install to be sure we were satisfied. He even brought us filters the next day for our new unit. Luke did our install and was professional and knowledgeable. It can be uncomfortable having strangers in your home doing work all day but I was completely comfortable having him there. We are very satisfied with the service and product we received with Zimmerman.

Albert came out first thing on Monday morning to troubleshoot the frozen central air unit. I’d called on Sunday evening so that was a quick response. I appreciate that I was able to speak to a scheduler and did not have to wait until the next business day for a return call. She was very friendly, professional and even called me back when she found an earlier appointment for me. Albert was able to quickly assess the issues and got the unit running right away. Albert was super straightforward, interested in giving us as much information to educate us as consumers, not just making a sale. They came within the hour and gave us an honest estimate; very affordable, offering only what we needed. At this point, I would have paid more for Zimmerman than any other servicer simply due to the fact that they offered a free system check to determine the problem, outstanding customer service, and a fast response. Zimmerman is honestly going to be the only institution I call for AC service now.
We had an issue with our air conditioner leaking and had Albert as our technician. He was very professional and nice throughout the entire visit. He made sure to give us all of our options and wasnt trying to sell us a new unit when we didnt need one, which is very much appreciated. He finished the job in a timely manner and with high quality work. He gave me instructions on how I can maintain the system to industry standard in the long-term. I decided to try a local heating and A/C company since the one that I had previously used was no longer in business. After a quick Google review I found Zimmermann Services down the street from my house. Omar, my tech called prior to the schedule time to let me know that he was on his way. He arrived on time and proceeded to explain to me in detail what he was doing with my 2 A/C units. He was unable to get 1 unit to run after several attempts he called his supervisor to assist. Several attempts were made to get the unit to turn on, but all attempts failed. Rather than spend hundreds of dollars replacing parts and be unsure if the unit would survive another SA summer, I decided to purchase a new system for peace of mind. We discussed prices and a decision was made to have an installed done that weekend. The installers arrived on time as schedule and proceeded to install the unit during a heavy rain storm. Everything went well and they cleaned up after themselves. The San Antonio Inspector came and reviewed the work and unfortunately failed the inspection due to location of the vent pipe. My installer Mike came back out made the correction without any problems. The re-inspection went well and inspector find no other deficiencies. Other than that my customer experience went well with Zimmermann A/C. I do have one recommendation. Price for services and work to be performed should be written down and agreed to by both parties prior to performing work so that once work is completed there is no confusion on how much is owe or form of payment. I would recommend and hire again.
Great folks to do business with. Called a couple of other Top Rated A/C firms on a Saturday when my system decided to not cool so well and I had a party the next day on Sunday. One company said they could not schedule me until the next week and another said they could squeeze me in but it may be much later that afternoon, and we all know what that means, a no-show. Based on the Google feedback for Zimmerman, I called them and Luke called me back within 30 minutes. I know A/C systems and was relieved to talk with someone that knew their business and wasnt someone that just answered the phones and made appointments. Anyway, we came up with a plan and he had Terry at my home within 2 hours. GREAT JOB GUYS. Terry also knew his stuff and fixed my system for a very reasonable fee. Didnt try to sell me anything else but made me aware of a few things i did not know about my system. Very professional, and personable folks to work with. Honest and knowledgeable about their work and saved the day for me without being over charged. They will be my only call for HVAC work and I will recommend them to all my friends and family.
Eric from Zimmermann AC was well knowledgeable about the repairs that needed to be done and he recommended a plumber first to unplug drain pipes. Another AC company came before and said a plumber was needed to unplug the drain pipes, but they never diagnosed the actual AC problem. I was very happy with the professionalism and great service Erick provided during his visit. No doubt I will use Zimmermann again!
Really fantastic service from start to finish. AC went out last night on Labor Day Sunday. Found Zimmermann online and decided to give them a call. The receptionist was extremely nice and dispatched Omar to my home just a few hours later. Omar saved me and my home from a potential fire. The faulty fuse box had to be replaced and a capacitor within the outdoor unit, but Omar was knowledgeable and immediately knew the problem and required solution. Couldnt be more thankful for such great service!

He explained everything and showed us photos of the problem areas. We will get Zimmerman’s service and will ask for Omar to be our technician. We loved the service we were provided when we unexpectedly had to replace our A/C system. They were prompt to assist and complete the work. Mr. James the technician was very hard working, through, and explained everything. I was contacted frequently and even had a follow up phone call after work was completed to make sure we were ok. I called Zimmermann to get an estimate for a new AC&heater. Their estimator, Tray, was very thorough, knowledgeable, and patient in explaining to me all the details. He even went up into my dirty and hard-to-navigate attic (to survey the state of the duct system), a task that other companies didn’t dare to contemplate.
We recently returned from an out of town trip to discover that our a/c had quit working while we were gone and it was 91 degrees inside the house. We called Zimmerman after a friend recommended them and were most pleased by their quick response to our needs and then to the great overall attitude and friendliness of the technician that came out. Fantastic reliable and honest service! First met them at the Home and Garden Show (awesome specials btw) and recently called them for help after 3 days of unable to get my AC working . Hubby had already had some other company Available sooner come out to diagnose, everything they said seemed off, Ex: explanations of how certain things work etc and quoted 4K with no other solution. They changed a $400 part right then and there but claimed we’d need a whole new system.I’m so glad Zimmermann was able to come out so quickly, and Omar was amazing! These guys came in and quickly gave the best quote, while providing more as a part of the package. While my AC was broken and I had a few days before the installation could begin, they were nice enough to install window units throughout the house, to keep it nice and cool. On the day of the installation it started to rain and I was worried that the event will have to be delayed. These guys worked in the rain, to get me going. Installation took less time than it was scheduled for. All of the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.This is also a small business, so supporting them in these times is crucial. I would completely recommend using Zimmerman.

Excellent customer service and attention to detail. I was concerned about a water leak and wanted to rule out the air conditioning unit. I called Zimmerman on a Monday afternoon; they were able to send a service technician the next morning at 9 a.m. As it turned out, the a/c unit was not the problem. The service technician showed me that the space under the unit was completely dry and he also demonstrated to me that the emergency shut-off was functioning properly. I will definitely use them in the future.
I have used Zimmermans for more than 13 years for the first house we lived in and now for our current home. I can not say enough good things about my experiences with Zimmermans AC and Heating. They had to replace the A/C in the first house we lived in ( it was 12 +years old) and they did an outstanding job and for a good price. When we sold that house the inspector commented on how well the A/C unit was installed. They have fixed the problems with the A/C and heater in our current home and have been maintaining it for the last 5 years. They are professional, perfectionists with their work, honest, trustworthy, expert and they perform the work for a good price and they are always friendly and explain everything very well and show you the issues and work so you are clear on what is being done. We work with Albert and he is wonderful!February 2020 and another great service call from Zimmerman heating and cooling! Today Peter came by for my twice a year maintenance visit of the heating/ AC. He not only efficiently and effectively checked both heating systems, he went above and beyond to notice and point out to me raccoon droppings and raccoon paths in the insulation. Yikes and thank you!! We had had problems before but thought they were resolved and this was all new activity. Since I had a strobe light and boom box to help deter the raccoons, he placed the light and boom box in the attic in strategic spots for me and even checked the attic space behind a closet not near the AC and heat units and let me borrow his headlight to look around. Now that is extra care and outstanding customer service! Not only was Pete professional he was friendly and extra helpful! Obviously my critter problem is not a problem Peter and Zimmerman can fix but Pete did everything he could to help deter the critters until I can get someone out. Thank you Pete for the great HVAC maintenance and critter detective and deterrent work! I can’t say enough good things about Zimmerman all my years of experience with them and all their professionals has been positive in all respects and beyond! I have a 14 year old system that they have kept running for me with minor repairs and maintenance. A less ethical, less professional company would have found a reason to make sure I had to replace some or all of the system with them, we have all heard that happening. I had to replace my old hvac system suddenly last week and Zimmerman was suggested to me. Omar came over the very next day, tried really hard to get the old one working again, but it was hopeless. (This was Friday.) Omar worked to get me the best price and then scheduled a new system installation on Monday. However, I was still stuck in a house with no ac for several days, so he arranged to have a portable unit brought to me for use until my new system could be installed!! Wow! Stephen brought one to me that day and installed it for me.Taylor and Edward came on Monday and worked all day and into the evening on the installation and I’m so pleased with the results.All of the contacts I’ve had with Zimmerman has been stellar and I highly recommend them!
We have been Customers of Zimmerman for many years for maintenance and service of our heating & AC system (which was over 20 years old). Albert Gonzales has been our technician most of the time. He is always clean, neat, prompt, courteous, and professional. He is always happy to answer all our questions. We recently decided to replace our old system. Albert gave us an estimate & install date plus an estimate for some additional insulation. Our unit was installed on 11/20/18. The install team; Mike, Chris, & Ray were super. They arrived promptly at 8:00 am and by 4:30 pm they were completely finished. They cleaned up after themselves to include vacuuming the entrance & hallway. We were ready to put our 2 yr old to bed upstairs one Wednesday evening and could tell it was noticeably hotter than the thermostat setting. Went to the outdoor unit and noticed it wasn’t spinning and was making a loud hissing sound. We called Zimmerman after reading their many 5 star reviews and they said they could come out that night. Terry, the general manager, arrived at almost 10pm after a day he started at 5am. Read that again....the general manager making a service call! Just weeks earlier I had attempted to have a simple tune up done by John Wayne and they called to reschedule at the last minute two days in row...Anyway it took Terry only a couple minutes to diagnose the problem. Unfortunately the 16 year old was a goner. He kindly and transparently addressed our every question and concern over the next hour. Long story short we had a new American Standard unit by 4pm the next day. Financially a/c issues aren’t the most pleasant experience but these guys make it as it good as it can get. I honestly will not ever recommend anyone else. Thanks Terry and thank you Zimmerman!!
Cannot thank Zimmerman HVAC enough! Yesterday our AC stopped working so my wife and I slept in our sweat. We called a “reputable” AC company here in San Antonio and was promised next day service from 2-6. At 5 pm we were notified that their technician was on another difficult job and would not be able to see us. Their next available time slot wasn’t until 2 days after. I was very frustrated and used my good friend Google and found Zimmerman. I called and spoke with Luke and he immediately triaged out to one of his technicians. 90 minutes later, Eric Lopez was at my front door. Eric was personable, knowledgeable and was able to locate the issue within 20 mins. I was so impressed with his skill level that I decided to sign up for the service plan they offer. I would recommend this company to all of my friends and family. They did an exceptional job and now have a customer for life. Thank you!
Zimmerman is simply fantastic. Honest, reliable and excellent for all our heating and AC needs. We have used them for 20 years and highly recommend. Recently had to have both our units replaced and the team was highly professional and knowledgeable. Luke communicates an explains things wonderfully.

After spending most of the day out and about, we came home to a very hot house. We called several companies for repair and the earliest appointment we could get was next day by noon. We had family with a baby visiting and needed it sooner. What a relief when Luke from Zimmermann answered the phone late Sunday afternoon and scheduled his technician, Trey, to be out within a few hours. Trey was knowledgeable and efficient and our A/C was working again in no time. He gave options for repair, explained everything and answered all our questions.
Great service! Had to have my complete HVAC system replaced and was politely walked through the selection process with Terry, who was very knowledgeable and patient answering all my questions. We had polite, courteous and knowledgeable team of guys that came to do the install. Through each stage of the install Justin kept me informed on their progress until it was complete. Trey was the technician that came by, he was a AWESOME- 💯 professional. He started working on figuring out the problem as soon as he got here. He was great, explained the situation in detail and provided various options for us to resolve the ac issue. He was quick, efficient, polite, professional. He fixed our problem the same day! We thought we needed a new unit since it was a 1997 ac but it just needed a flushing of the drain pipe - and now it’s cool!! He did offer options for the future if we are ever interested in a new one but he did a great honest job without trying to upsell us on a new unit now when ours was an easy fix. I highly recommend this company- especially if they all are great workers like Trey! Honesty will keep my business and I’ll definitely be calling them when I need a new unit. A+
Our AC started leaking and we are do to fly out early tomorrow we made the call after another company flaked on us. We were given a same day evening appointment and were happy with that. Then they called and asked if they could come sooner and when Gabriel got here he was professional and very helpful he was in and out and told us about the maintenance program they offered so we signed up for that so we will hopefully not come across this issue again. Thank you so much for all your help we will now be able to go on our vacation and not be stressed!

Like many people, I am interested in my AC but have no idea what is actually going on. Omar took time to explain to me what he is doing and what right looks like. Our AC went out in the evening and he spoke with me on the phone about what the issues could be, then had the office call me first thing in the morning to schedule a service call. He was incredibly thorough and checked every possible cause, and had our ac up and running again in less than an hour. I cannot recommend their service more highly!

Have been with Zimmerman Services for many years and on each occasion they’ve responded quickly to our needs with particularly efficient, knowledgeable, and amiable personnel. Most recently during our semi annual inspection, Carlos noted the presence of mold growth in our system; showing me the problem and explaining the various options available to rectify the problem. We were most impressed by his thoroughness, attention to detail, and making certain we understood everything. He is a pleasure to work with and an excellent example of customer service.
We were very pleased with all the work that was done. They removed our old system and replaced it with the new one in a timely manner when they were done they cleaned up after themselves. We were very happy because on the day of our service it was a cold and rainy day but it didnt stop them from leaving us in the cold we slept very warm that night thanks to Zimmermann A/C and Heather comp we highly recommend them.

A/C quit working late in the afternoon. I called Zimmermann and they sent out Luke after hours to diagnose the problem. Unfortunately, our 14 year old system is fried and we need an entire new system. Luke was able to take the information needed to contact our Home Warranty company tomorrow to get the process started on approving the new system replacement. Luke was very knowledgeable and courteous.
Within hours of calling to have my ac repaired for not cooling. The techs and Office manager James had responded to my call, diagnosed the issue and had my house at a comfortable temperature all within the day. Very professional and courteous, I will be using them again soon and recommending them to my neighbors!

I contacted Zimmermann A/C and heating, left a message and got a call back by there on call tech. Within minutes.. Very friendly and understanding of the situation or problem you would say I was having with my unit. Scheduled an appointment that following Monday. A great technician by the name Albert Gonzalez came out on time, and went through the process of what was happening, with the duct work in my attic. He was straight forward on what needed done an what he could do to fix the problem. Within hours after leaving I got an email proposal of the repairs and detailed description of what would be done. At a reasonable price too . I would highly recommend Zimmermann A/C with any further services I need done.
Zimmerman A/C should be your only choice for A/C repair in the greater San Antonio area. Our A/C, which is older, stopped working entirely during a hot August day. Zimmermans best employee, Terry, and his crew came out to our house the same day to assess the situation. After trouble shooting the A/C, Terry ultimately recommended that a new A/C was needed. Unfortunately for my family and I, however, a new A/C would not be able to be installed for a few days. So, Terry went above and beyond and delivered three portable air conditioning units, free of charge, to keep us cool and help us combat the unforgiving summer Texas heat until the new A/C would be installed. Terry even checked on us, on his own time, over the weekend via text and phone calls to make sure that the A/C units were running properly, and to ask if there were any new issues.Installation day was seamless. Terry and his team removed the old A/C unit and installed a brand new one in a matter of only a few hours. Terry and his team were great. Hopefully Ill never have to call an A/C repair man again while I live in the San Antonio area, but if I do, I know Ill be calling Zimmermans team.Shout out to Zimmermans secretary, Angela, as well. Every time I needed to call Zimmerman (sometimes after hours) she was always courteous, patient, and devoted to finding a solution to my problem that same day. First and foremost, when I say that this company has exceeded my expectations that is huge as I have very high expectations when it comes to customer service and business.From the initial contact, Luke was very professional and patient. I was driving in from out of town with a toddler and was told my A/C went out prior to my arrival home. Luke made sure that I had a technician at my home by the time I arrived.James was the individual who arrived at my home. I believe he is actually the Service Manager. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about James. He was kind, patient, explained what he was doing to try and diagnose the problem, and even broke down his diagnosis with real-life examples to help us understand the issues with the compressor and evaporator coils in our A/C unit. We ultimately needed to get a brand new unit as ours was well over 10 years old, but even giving us this news we werent mad. James helped us by explaining ALL of our options and did give recommendations. At no point did we ever feel pressured or forced to make a decision. James made sure we received 3 portable stand up A/C units to ensure we had some sort of cooling until our new unit was installed. What really stood out about James was that he seemed to genuinely care about the job he was doing and the people he was serving. I told him a negative story about an A/C company we had come out to our home a month prior and his response was well, while that was not our company, we want to make sure that we make this right. We want to show our customers that there are good A/C companies out there that care about the customer. James also had a trainee (i dont recall his name) with him when he installed the portable units and even he was polite and respectful, even said yes, maam in response to questions!The next interaction I had was with Michael and another young man (I did not catch his name), both men were professional and polite. I directed them to where the existing units were at and Michael informed me of what he would be doing and I left them both to do their job while I attended online schooling. They even taped cardboard down on the floors to protect them and even vacuumed the floors when they were done. They even completed the job ahead of schedule and Michael walked me through explaining the new units both inside and outside and the new thermostat. We did have a freak accident where the breaker shut off the system that same night, I made a call and not only did Terry, the representative who answered my call assure me they would take care of it, Luke even called to follow up! Mind you this was like at 9:30 pm, within 30-40 minutes, guess who showed up, Michael!! The same person who actually did the install, what a relief this was as he would have been the only one who knew what he did and could correct it. He figured it out and corrected it.Today is the second full day with the new system and I even received a follow-up call from James and he was aware of the small issue we had with the system last night. Clearly this shows their communication within the company is very effective. What i love about this company is that their communication with the customer doesnt stop once the job is handed off to the installer. They continued to reach out to me to ensure I was happy and to make sure everything was working great. This company just wants to make sure they are doing it right. James and Michael repeatedly said if you need anything or have any questions, please call or text, you have my number. Its genuine and that makes a difference between this company and the next. Omar came out to diagnose an issue with our old unit which had stopped working due to a tripped breaker from thunderstorms. Instead of just flipping the breaker and leaving, he thoroughly inspected the unit for defects. He found a few outdated and corroded parts that needed to be replaced. He made sure to inform and show me what the issues were and what needed to be done to ensure that our unit would run efficiently. He also showed and explained what each part does in the system and gave an honest assessment of the quality of the parts that he was going to install. He wasn’t trying to install cheap equipment for marked up prices. He was professional, punctual to the appointment, performed the services quickly at a high quality, and was very informative. This is everything I’m looking for with a local family owned company. We will be long time customers for sure. I HIGHLY recommend hiring this company for HVAC services. Taylor, James, and Michael did my install last week for my full HVAC system, 100% new ductwork, all new blown-in insulation, and installed my new aluminum attic ladder. I absolutely will be referring everyone that I know to Zimmerman for any heat, AC, duct, etc., needs that they have.I went overboard and got 9 quotes for systems. It was easy to realize that most of the other companies in San Antonio were trying to make a big payday on the install of our new system.Throughout the whole estimate process Trey was very professional, not pushy at all, and was very accommodating. I was really please when I decided to choose Zimmerman for the job and I got to work with Michael, the install manager. Michael, Taylor, and James, we’re very professional, worked hard, and kept me informed the whole time. If I ever have to do this again in a future home, I won’t be calling other companies for estimates, I will just call Zimmerman and get the instal scheduled because they went above and beyond throughout the whole process.

My home ac was going on off on off but mostly off and not cooling. Another ac company came by 3 times and after $1600 nothing was fixed. I called Zimmerman and the next day Omar came by and instantly diagnosed the problem of water backing up and not draining. He even showed me why the water was backed up. He really knows what he is doing and can explain the issue and repairs needed in a way that is easy to understand. I waited several days to post a review because I wanted to make sure it was fixed. I want to start by saying that NO ONE asked me to leave a review. We had many “big” companies come out and quote us but always asked for a huge favor at the end...to leave a review.This was not it. I called them Monday morning and by noon, I had Jon at my house: such an awesome experience!He was honest and transparent. He wasn’t trying to sell us everything, just honestly fixing what needed to be fixed.The best part was the quote. They didn’t Overcharge like every other company. I had elmers charging me 2k just for cleaning a coil and the motor fan lol imagine that! 2 thousand!Needless to say that Zimmerman was the best choice. Timothy arrived about an hour and a half before the scheduled time but called ahead. I appreciate him showing up early. He figured out the problem pretty quick and fixed the problem. He was very honest, upfront, and helpful. Its nice to have AC again after a little more than 24 hours without AC. Recommend them as a good company and Timothy to go out to the residences.

A popped transformer caused a power surge that completely fried our electrical components in our AC. James M., the service manager, came to our house on a Saturday afternoon, spent several hours testing and attempting to repair what he could. He then followed up promptly on Monday and Tuesday with new electrical components and by mid day Tuesday, our AC unit was rebuilt with all new components. He was honest about the outlook of our unit and hopes of a repair. The best part is that our AC has properly installed higher quality components than what we bought the house with. I’m very pleased with his service, and I strongly recommend you utilize this company for your future heating and cooling issues.

Terry came to give me an estimate on duct replacement. After his investigation he advised me that I did not need new duct work, just some a couple of seals. I had the same issue bid before and was quoted a very expensive price to replace all my duct work. Terry saved me money and his a very honest man. He has earned my business. I totally recommend Zimmerman HVAC service.

I had Zimmermann come out and perform a maintenance on my heater. The technician Albert arrived on time and and was very nice! He was very thorough while checking my system. He also gave me tips on where to place my carbon monoxide detector. I definitely have and will continue to recommend Zimmermann for all heating and air conditioning needs.
