Owner is extremely knowledgeable in his field, and you can tell passionate about what he does. Responded to an inquiry about my AC leaking through our ceiling within minutes of making one and was out here same day, walked me through the process, gave honest answers, and detailed information to make an informed decision off of. His guys, who did a great job, were at my place within 2 hours of deciding to replace my indoor and outdoor AC units and got the job done in less than 4 hours. Will be using Toned Homes for other projects around the house moving forward!

If so could do less that one star I would. I currently have a company repairing my system after spending 8-10 thousand dollars with this company on my AC over the last six years. They called their work “Frankenstein’s Monster.” I have 20 k worth of damage to this attic based on their unprofessional work and what appears to be gross negligence in addition to planned malice. Two different companies found wires cut, ducts that were not sealed causing condensation build up leading to mold, improperly ventilated parts, holes in vents and poorly aligned and hooked Up work that all contributed to the complete destruction of my attic and unit.Damage and work was so bad that supervisors were called out to take additional pictures and evaluate the space.I am still paying for this work while having to take on considerable debt to fix what this company did!

I am cautious, when it came to working with contractors. I hired Tone on March 2023 and worked with him until Feb. 2024 to renovate my home after a house fire. This was a major project and completion was extended by my delay. He tore down my garage and rebuilt it, installed a new water heater, replaced the entire roof, gutted and replaced the interior ceilings, walls and even renovated my older 1950’s kitchen and modernized it to an open concept, plus added an island as well. He installed exterior siding and painted both the interior and exterior of my home, which looks great. He also updated the floor and installed a new A/C unit, new duct work, insulation and made sure all inspections and permit requirements were met. He was very patient with my many questions, resolved items of concern quickly and returned my calls promptly. His skilled crew was very professional and courteous at all times. He worked well with my insurance company and quickly provided them the necessary information required for funding. I just got lucky when I met Tone at the San Antonio Home & Garden Show. I highly recommend Toned Homes L.L.C. for any project, especially if you’re a woman. He respected my opinion, concerns, Budget and advised me appropriately. Thanks, Tone. My AC froze up on July 4th. After researching reviews I called Toned Homes. It was after 10pm so I wasn’t expecting anyone to actually answer. Anthony (Tone) answered and guided me through some steps to melt the ice and get it running through the night. He arrived early the following morning to assess the situation. I ended up needing a new evaporator coil and condenser.He was extremely responsive to my texts and explained in detail what was going on and gave me options. The installation crew were knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely recommend them.

I’ve been using Toned Homes for my AC maintenance and repairs for several years and have not used anyone else. I called Toned Homes last week late afternoon when my AC compressor went out. 100+ degree weather, mind you. By the following morning a new one was installed which is insane considering how busy his company is. The owner Antonio is fantastic and consistently will break his back to make sure his customers are satisfied. If there is a glitch anywhere in the process it is addressed quickly and satisfactorily. His company also does home remodeling and other services so I plan to reach out to him once I am ready to move forward with my kitchen remodeling project! They are very quick to respond and I set up an annual maintenance contract with them which works out to be cheaper than calling once a year for a checkup. I also had them do some tile work to replace the old linoleum in our bathrooms and laundry room. They did a great job and the tile guys were a pleasure to work with. We hired Tony a few years ago to remodel our master bath. He came out quickly to see what we had in mind and got back to us quickly with an estimate. All of the people he had work for us then were great and did a great job. We have since moved to a new house and wanted to close in our porch and lay flagstone in our backyard. We called Tony once again to do the job. And once again he came out quickly and got back to us quickly with an estimate. I cannot say enough about this company! Our AC stopped working and my wife was due for a surgery in a few days. Danny came out and troubleshot the system immediately. It turned out that we really needed a new indoor air handler and Tone, the owner along with a couple of his techs got us up and running in time for my wifes recovery time. Tone even stayed until well into the night to make sure everything was working well. The concern they all showed for my wifes comfort was like I was working with family. Their tile people were excellent, and the drywall and showers turned out great! Their supervisor also kept us up to date on what was going on. After we had called another company for a quote on a glass door, the manager at Tone Homes was able to talk to them and get a lower price for us. They were also very accommodating with any changes in our plan, and were upfront about everything. I couldnt have asked for better work. It is almost unheard of to provide the level of service that Tone has. Ive had two occasions to use his services for AC repair. Of course they both occurred at the most inopportune time, during the hottest part of the day of a very hot summer. Tone got our system up and running temporarily within a couple of hours of the service call. He then came back and fixed it permanently.On the second occasion he talked my tenants through a problem solving process where he was able to diagnose and mitigate the AC issue over the phone immediately.I will be using Tone in future for any related services!

As an Out of State investor it is hard to find skilled tradesmen who are reliable, responsible, and honest. Antonio Gonzalez of Toned Homes is all of the above. I bought a home that had foundation work performed on it, and all I knew was the HVAC was not running. My GC actually recommended Toned Homes because his HVAC guy was swamped. Am I glad he did. I called their number and got in touch with Antonio, or “Tone” for short. He is a genuine nice guy, and was willing to answer every question I had. I’ve called, texted, and emailed him/his company, and every time someone had always gotten back to me within a reasonable time. They showed up on time when they said they would, performed the work, told me about some copper lines that were leaking, and Tone gave me a quote to take care of it. When his crew came back to perform the work, they needed to use more material than anticipated. When Tone was explaining it to me I was thinking, “here comes the up-sell” but to my pleasant surprise Tone said he is keeping the price the same! Just that alone makes me want to only deal with him for all my HVAC needs. Tone mentioned that he also does general renovation work, and his project pictures look pretty good on his website. I can only speak to his HVAC work at this time, but in due time, who knows. If you want a highly skilled, honest, friendly, reliable HVAC technician Tone of Toned Homes is your guy! The best a/c service Ive had. The owner and his staff were extremely accommodating, knowledgeable , pleasant, professional, punctual, reliable, and responsive. Their customer service is top notch. Of note, they responded to my inquiry on Angies list with in minutes, scheduled my appointment with in 2 days on a Saturday at that and was able to reschedule and fit me in on a Sunday instead. The owner is extremely experienced and adept at what he does. His ability to explain and articulate his knowledge of A/C to the customer in a way they could understand was a manifestation of this. They were also very reasonably priced. Furthermore the quality of their work was outstanding.

When our old AC unit started sounding rough in 2013, we got word that it needed to be replaced from one of the large AC/Heating companies in the area. We put out an email to 6 local companies with a request for quotes for a system replacement. Toned Homes was not only the first to respond to our email but also the only company that asked to inspect the system first to see if a replacement was necessary. As we were not financially prepared for a system replacement, we were thrilled to hear the system could be repaired for the time being. Not only that, they tried to repair the coil that was causing the issues. When the repair didnt take, Toned put the cost of the repair towards the replacement coil. The coil used in the replacement was also rated for the newer refrigerant we would need when we did end up replacing the system.Juan just left after replacing the condenser unit. The ducts and plenum looked good(serviced by Toned in 2014 of course) so no need to re-do the whole system. In and out in 2 hours, my family will now not have to go through the fire drill of having no AC for a few days after a dead unit ruined a summer day.Toneds crew is friendly and professional. I have spoken with about eight or more of their employees over the past 2 years and all have been knowledgeable and interested in not only the best solution but most cost effective solution to our heating and AC issues. Having dealt with junk sub-contractors and independent contractors in San Antonio over the 6+ years we have lived here, Toned blows them all away. Thank you and keep up the great work!

Toned Homes did work on my moms house from the 70s and it looks like the house has been rebuilt! They have done great work from counter tops to back splashes, flooring and A/C! My 20 year old heating / air system went bad. Antonio Gonzalez showed up on time fitting me in quickly. This issue was unexpected and very inconvenient for me and my family. The estimate was very fair. He explained all my choices - replace or repair - very well. His men came and were on time, did a fine job, explained the care and operation of my new equipment and cleaned up after themselves. I will have this group back for my nest project. They are great!

Mr. Gonzales came out and provided excellent customer service as well as he was very thorough when explaining everything. He took his time and was able to provide us with an unbeatable price as well as get financing set up on the spot. He was able to provide fast installation as well. We will be hiring him and his company for the other projects we have lined up for the house.

I thought things were going well, when I was able to get a same day visit to my house to get an estimate. The rep Mr. Stout arrived at my house, but the poor guy was really sick. We discussed the bathroom project at length and even discussed me picking up the supplies locally and having Tonned homes install the products as an option. After about week and half still waiting for an estimate my text message was returned and my estimate was available the next day. The estate reflected Tonned homes picking all the tile and backer board, so I asked for an additional estimate if I was able to do 60% of the demo, and buy the supplies. I got back an estimate that was $1700 more, explaining that though they would honor the first estimate, the first estimate was an underbid to what the cost should have been for the tile work. The tile work would take 2 people and week to do. Mind you we were choosing large 12x12 tile and no patterns for a 60x42 tub/shower area; they were not asked to re-tile the whole bathroom. I was told that no supplies other than the tub and fixtures were able to be purchased by us because of the $1700 error between both estimates. Additionally, I explained that I would have more respect and less distrust of their work had they contacted me in 2 days from when my estimate was first sent versus waiting to see if I was going to act on the bid, which then forced them to admit their mistake. Just hate having my time wasted, and very disappointed; I feel more like I visited a car sales lot.

I called Toned Homes looking for someone to help diagnose and repair some pier and beam foundation issues. They told me that they dont work on foundations (apparently they work on just about everything else), but spent a long time on the phone with me explaining foundation issues and gave me several referrals for people to talk to. I suppose a 5-star rating is a bit misleading seeing as how Toned Homes never did any actual work for me, but if their customer service is any indication of their work Ill be calling them for whatever I need help with next. Was having trouble with my air conditioning called tone homes. They had someone out here immediately diagnose the problem. Took care of the problem, and got our air conditioning going!! Couldnt have asked for a more professional, caring and a pleasure to work with than Tone Gonzales and his staff!!

Came out an quoted me a 1000 dollars to clean AC air coils on a 2 year old AC system. Second consult showed there wasnt anything wrong with the system. Toned home always has always provided a friendly smile yet has over charged me once before for an issue they were responsible for. Would not recommend them unless you like throwing your money away.

Toned is a great guy that goes out of his way to do quality work. He provides excellent services at great prices. Have used him for a new AC and he saved me $1000s compared to other people.

We had them install a screen porch. The quality of the job is excellent, and the price lower than we expected. Moreover, they did the paperwork for our homeowners association and finished the job very quickly once the approval was obtained. They have been completely cooperative, including emailing the HOA approval to us upon request, even after the job was done and paid for.Edit 4/18/14: The screen porch is good, but I am knocking down the rating for three reasons:1) They used a blower to clean off the deck afterward, thus scattering sharp aluminum cuttings and screws in the yard where we cant see them to avoid them;2) They promised to fix any issues that arose. One issue did arise, namely that the cat door they installed was disconnected at the bottom and would not function correctly. They promised to have someone come look and send someone else out to fix it. The fellow that looked was mainly interested in selling additional jobs, but did promise to have someone come back to install the cat door properly. That never happened.3) The additional job estimate was to fix a leaky shed overhang. He said they would replace the plywood underneath and replace a couple shingles for $2500. If additional work was needed, they would charge more. That sounds extremely expensive for the minor amount of work involved. I also asked about the possibility of replacing the roof on our 2400 sq ft house. $16,000 was his off-the-cuff ballpark estimate. I have not researched it, but that, too, seems pretty steep.For these reasons, my initial glowing review is now downgraded.

Very, very professional! Our AC went out and Toned Homes went about and beyond to help my family and me out! They were truly a blessing! Outstanding service and they walked me through everything so I was always informed. Tones Homes even fixed the mistakes that the last AC repair company made!

Toned Homes has done multiple jobs for me! From exterior paint to a new air conditioning system..... Tone and Danny are exceptional people who spent a lot of time answering every question i had about both project!

We had Toned Homes come out and do our addition. They did an absolutely AMAZING JOB! We had Rock on one wall and beautiful pillars separating the room. I liked them so much I am going to have them come remodel my kitchen.

Called to have them come out and look at my ac for a estimate and diagnostic done. 2 previous companies told me I had to replace both units. Once he got here he took his time, looked at everything and gave me a WAY cheaper opion and solution. Saved me about 3k. Glad I called!
