Good work. Jessica is friendly and has good customer service. This place was recommended to me by multiple individuals.*8-31-2021- I take back my rating and would give a 0 if possible. I had my radiator replaced and they insisted on replacing the thermostat even though it was brand new... They replaced it and even though it has been about four months, I really never drive it because I have a company vehicle... The vehicle has had about a hundred miles put on it ever since they worked on it and it has been leaking coolant this whole time. $500 roughly is what I was charged for labor and this what they gave me... there are three bolts that are removed to replace the thermostat... They stripped two out of the three and this whole time it was leaking from there onto the top of my thermostat housing and going onto the top of the engine block as well. SAVE YOUR MONEY, TIME AND HEADACHES and go elsewhere.

I recently had the pleasure of bringing my Ram 1500 to Bring Your Own Parts automotive shop, and I couldnt be happier with the experience. From start to finish, they provided exceptional service at a great price. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure that my vehicle was repaired efficiently and effectively. One of the standout aspects of Bring Your Own Parts was their transparency and honesty. They provided a detailed breakdown of the repairs needed and gave me an accurate estimate upfront, allowing me to bring my own parts and saving me a significant amount of money. The technicians at the shop exhibited a high level of expertise, demonstrating their skill and experience in working on Ram 1500 trucks. The repairs were completed in a timely manner, and the final cost matched the initial estimate provided. Not only did they fix the specific issues I brought my truck in for, but they also conducted a thorough inspection and addressed a few minor issues they discovered, all without trying to upsell me unnecessary services.Overall, I highly recommend Bring Your Own Parts to anyone in need of automotive repairs, especially if youre looking for a shop that offers great prices and values honesty. Their exceptional service, skilled technicians, and dedication to customer satisfaction make them an excellent choice for all your automotive needs.

This place a scam! They make you sign a contract, mess your whole vehicle up. I had to pay $1,200 just to get my car towed away to a mechanic who finally fixed it a few days and this place had it sitting in their garage for weeks! Save your money, run and take it elsewhere! Great service, just make sure they charge you what they quote. Reviewed my invoice, showed a fee for parts( took my own parts) was never told there was parts fee ($9.95 for rags used while performing job). I’m sure they don’t use different rags when going from job to job. I don’t mind paying for the service, but just be honest on what you are going to charge, if it’s part of the normal charge then stated in you quote.

CRUCES!!!!!!!!!!!!Never Ever Again!!!I went to get a break caliber and brakes changed and was quoted $484.99..I was told they don’t make any money on parts and purchasing the parts through them would be at no additional cost. So I did so. Upon trying to up sale me on some additional services, the rep showed me his computer screen where the part he invoiced as $119 was actually only 79.. A $50 mark-up!! I called it to his attention and he notated the difference in price.Upon paying for the services I noticed the invoice was still the same price as before even with the $50 difference. Once again I called the price to his attention. He then goes back to the invoice to show that the adjustment was made and the price was the same. I take a closer look at the invoice and I see an added line for “Fuel Flush+$50“.. I then called that to question. Nothing of any sort was requested or agreed to and labor was already included in the original invoice. He then looked me in the face and said “Thats for bleeding the breaks” As if I didn’t know that is a part of changing breaks and calibers. He went ahead and removed the charge that had “randomly” been added since discovering I was being scammed on the parts!!I don’t trust anything he told me about other work needing to be done and I will NEVER EvER USE ThEir Service AGAIN!!!!

I went to this place to get my spark plugs replaced since i seemed to be loosing power and was told i may need a tune up. I called and was told a tune up costs 169 bucks which was a lot cheaper than anything in town. So i show up and found out that price was just the labor, i forgot i needed to buy the parts so it cost 233. Which still isnt bad considering they put a warranty on the parts you buy or so i thought. They came back and gave me a list of issues with the car and i got a quote of just under 500 bucks to fix it all. Which again is not bad. I couldnt afford it all at the time so i said i will come back and get it done a little at a time. Well since i refused the extra work they gave no warranty on the parts i paid for. I took it to the chevy dealer the next day and they looked over the car and found nothing else wrong with it. This place may be cheap but they cannot be trusted and get you in at a low cost to try and lie to get you to pay more.

Would you like honest and professional automotive repairs with no markups or gimmicks? If you answered yes to the following question run as far as you can from Bring Your Own Parts! I initially thought I would have a positive experience at this place, as they were helpful when it came to finding my parts. Once they get you in the door, its all downhill from there. They took forever to even begin work on my vehicle. Nick was very rude and unprofessional. I was told that my repairs would cost $300, however when I left the total came to nearly $600. The shocker is that the issue was never repaired! $600 down the drain! They then asked me to pay an extra $60-75 dollars so they could do more diagnostics. They also charged me for coolant when they used the coolant that was already in my trunk. They searched my car top to bottom to try to find anything that they could repair, which were all unrelated to the issue I came in for. Maybe if they focused more on the actual problem I was having with my vehicle it would have left their shop repaired. If I wanted to pay an arm and leg for repairs I would have simply gone to the dealer and asked to to fix any and everything they could think of. When they test drove my car it overheated and they left my car sitting at an undisclosed location over the entire weekend! I was never able to get in touch with anyone working on my car when I called to check in on it Monday. My car was returned to me with a newly ignited engine light, it reeked of body odor, and it also had personal records from other vehicles inside. In the end I just wanted to get my car out of there as fast as possible. If you want the experience from hell or if youre trying to play a really bad prank on someone, tell them to go to Bring Your Own Parts.

I would give it a 0 but I cant. They had to change 7 spark plugs in our expedition, my husband did 1 but got busy. They gave us an estimate of $290 and 3 or 4 hours. My husband got a phone call the next day asking him how he got the 1 spark plug out, he told them he bought a special tool to extract the broken ones. The next day they asked him if he could bring his tool, he did finally on the 4th day at 1:30pm we got the vehicle and a bill of $1147.00. I told them they shouldnt be doing things they dont know how to do or dont have the tools for. The receptionist said they know exactly what they are doing and never did use our tool. We got no credit for bringing in our tool.

I was hesitant to bring my vehicle to this shop due to the poor reviews, but since I had an appointment for my compressor a week away I figured getting it done early would be great. While a lot of misfortune happened on my side like a faulty compressor and other issues that were relatively skimmed over, things got complicated and took a long time to get my vehicle fixed. From ordering another part to taking roughly a month to finish it seemed a bit unnecessary and that is partly due to not being updated on various aspects of what was going on. I was prompted to pay quite a bit while not being briefed on what it was I was paying for exactly.I was then finally given my vehicle back, almost left without my part I was past due on returning, which I now need to worry about. And when I received my faulty part I was given it without a container which then spilled oil all over the inside of my car seats. I was told that I could get the part back in my original container, but that of course was discarded a bit too early and caused a mess. Other than the lengthy process, lack of communication other than when I called, and the general feel of going unheard was a constant. I got a working AC compressor that works fine now, though reccomend other autoshops that arent a chain. Steel Body Works is great, friendly, and is very transparent about what they are doing.

Seems like they extremely overcharge for labor. Went there just to have my rear brake pads changed. They called and said I needed rotors as well (maybe I did, I didnt check before bringing in). Later they sent a bunch of pictures of things that needed repairs, and a video of an extremely bad coolant leak that Im pretty I wouldve noticed before, but I guess its possible it was new and I missed it... Long story short they charged me $1000 just in labor to do rear pads and rotors, fix a rear differential leak, and replace the upper radiator hose.

NOT HAPPY! I took my car in to get checked and I was charged $99 and was told if I pay $700 to replace numerous parts the issue of overheating might be corrected. So I asked if a pressure check was done and was told by the manager that one can be done with a whole check of the engine for another $199, since I did not get a solid answer if my car would be fixed if i paid $700. I fell for the complete engine check, so they kept my car overnight and supposedly checked everything!!!! And still came back with the same answer from the first diagnostic check. My husband ended up just taking the whole engine apart and found just exactly what the problem was. And it wasnt any of the parts they recommended. I was just basically ripped off from this company and was way over charged and they did nothing. If they would have done the complete engine check like they charged me for they would have found what exactly the issue was. THANKS FOR NOTHING AND RIPPING ME OFF!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO HERE OR RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE!!!!

THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!! DO NOT GO HERE EVER!!!! If I could give zero stars I would. Absolutely crooked and WILL steal your money! For one my husband overheard them telling another customer, with the same truck, half the price they charged him. But needed new breaks put on before he went out of town for work. They said a whole bunch of other things needed to be fixed. My husband, wanting to make sure his truck would be in good condition to drive to Houston tomorrow, agreed with their (dishonest) assessment and paid 1300 to get everything replaced. When he left the shop there was outlandish rattling and shaking. They gave him his truck 10 times worse than what it was like when he took it in. Incredibly ridiculous. Kept saying they took it for a test drive and nothing was wrong but I rode in it with him and theres no way they couldnt hear and feel how bad it was. If they did, they didnt care. THE WORST PLACE EVER. It ended up being his brakes, what he only went in for..... They didnt even screw them on! *Update a few weeks later had to go to another mechanic, this place didnt even tighten his lug nuts either. Incredibly negligent.

I came in for them to change my oil pan gasket, I brought in the oil pan gasket, the old oil and an additional 2 unopened quarts of oil. They said it was going to be $250 for labor since I diagnosed it and already had the part. Okay, sounds good, I said. They told me it would be ready to go the following morning. I got a call the next day around 12pm from the mechanic who tells me he is going to need an additional $100 to diagnose the problem, I told him that I was told that was unnecessary because I knew what the problem was already, he said they refuse to work on the car unless they diagnose the problem. At this point I had already towed it out there ($75) and agreed to $250 to change the gasket and brought the $80 gasket, and here he is telling me that they basically lied to my face when I brought in the car. Okay, $100 more dollars, just fix it please. He assured me it would be done by the end of the day.... Two days later they called and said the car was ready. I went to pick up the car and was given a bill for SIX HUNDRED AND SEVENTY DOLLARS!!! WHAT?????? I told them I dont have the money, I cant afford that, I already told them I couldnt do that. They told me to give them everything I have and they will automatically bill the rest in two weeks!!!! I was forced to pay the bill to get my car... Driving home my car was smoking (which is had never done) and my gas was on empty??? IT WAS FULL WHEN I BROUGHT IT IN!!! Best Mechanic shop that I have ever dealt with! My starter was out and the Toyota dealership was going to charge me $600! I called around to see if I could just buy the part and get my boyfriend to do it. The cheapest that I found the part was for $200. Frustrated, I finally called Bring Your Own Parts and spoke to Ricardo. He was very polite and friendly, which to me can make or break a company! Customer service is a big factor in where I will shop! Ricardo explained everything to me and made sure I understood the process and what they would be doing to my truck. They only charged me $100 for the part, with a lifetime warranty, and $100 for the labor! I brought it in later that evening and they worked on it the whole next day. I called Ricardo about every hour to check progress. He was never rude or frustrated that I kept calling, he eventually recognized my voice! He would check with the mechanic each time and tell me exactly what was going on! I picked up my truck and was greeted by the owner or store manager (I cant remember his name) and he was super friendly and made me feel comfortable, which is something I dont feel going to even big name mechanic shops. He made me aware of other potential problem areas and gave me reasonable quotes. They are amazing guys over there and I would recommend them to anyone and everyone! Thanks!

The store manager James quoted me a very fair price for the labor, as I already had my own parts. The mechanic working on my Tahoe also informed James that he may suggest having my fuel throttle body cleaned as it was also very dirty and would lead to additional engine performance issues later on. Again, James quoted me a fair price for the additional labor and ensured that the work was done in the time that was quoted. Sure they may not charge very much for parts, but they make up for it by overcharging for labor. I had my a/c replaced there and they charged me for 16 hours of labor. Other websites list a complete a/c replacement as 4-6 hours of labor. They did not even have my car for 2 full days, so there is no way they put 16 hours of labor into this. The whole repair cost about $1600.00. Other websites list this complete repair parts and labor to be about $1200.00. Then after that they tried to milk me for more by saying that my shocks and struts need to be replaced. Every old car has worn shocks and struts. Will never go back here. Should have done my homework ahead of time to avoid this ripoff. Lesson learned.

He tells me that the stabilizer links need to be replaced right away because they are cracked and it’s a safety issue. He also told me that it took longer to get the headlight fixed because the technician thought the assembly did not have light bulbs and they had to order them. I did not make a big deal of it and I agreed to get the stab links replaced and brought the car the next morning. Once again I waited for two hours and Martin tells me that the stab links are in very bad condition and that they became jammed in the car due to all the weight. He put two technicians to saw it off and get the work done faster. Once again, I was patient and did not even complain about the time. By Friday I decided to replace the high beam light bulbs because Martin said they couldn’t replace since they are only available at the dealer (But honestly, they were just regular H7 light bulbs). I realized that the headlights had been tampered with, they replaced the pieces that hold the light bulb in place and replaced them with cheap plastic. I brought the car in on Monday and spoke to Breana and told her what had happened. She ask a technician to check my car but nothing was resolved. She told me that the headlight assembly I brought in was not a perfect fit and for that reason the turning signal doesn’t work. Martin failed to bring this to my attention. Had I known I would have not agreed to get the work done. Because Martin was the only person updating me on my car I called him and explained the situation. Instead of offering help, he gets defensive, is being rude and accuses me of being a liar. I have yet to hear back from them and I highly doubt they will be calling me back. My car is in worse condition than when I brought in. Not only do I have to replace the headlight assembly again, now I have to worry about the airbags too. The icon appeared on my dashboard after having a technician inspecting the headlight on Monday. I do not trust this place to handle my car anymore. If you want to give this place the benefit of the doubt like I did, Make sure you take pictures of your car before you bring it in. This way you have proof and Martin can stop acting stupid and pretend like you have no idea what youre talking about. My advice is STAY AWAY!!!

I spent over $4,000 doing needed maintenance on my car that is 10 years old. It had reached 100,000 miles and everything had warn out. From tires to shocks, to belt, to hoses, the list went on. They did me a service by saving me a couple hundred dollars over what Ford was going to charge me. OH DO I WISH I HAD SPENT THAT EXTRA $400-500!!!!The first time I left the BYOP there were some major problems. One was a tube wasnt installed right and it touched something hot and melted. It was toed back to BYOP and when I left it made noise. They hadnt even test drove it. I had the spark plug wires replaced again b/c the ones they put on their stopped working a week later.A month later the head gaskets I had replaced were leaking and had to be replaced again! It was almost a full three weeks of additional hell because they just didnt do it right the first time. This was all back in November 2012.Now today Im replacing those same damn spark plug wires, because one of them was not installed properly and had been dangling down on a hot pipe over the last few months, it melted, and caused the whole car to stop working. After 40 minutes of cleaning up the mess and replacing the wires myself...Im done. I could never go there ever again. I wish to God I had just gone to Ford and paid the extra money.I highly recommend you dont go here. They do give you a discount on the parts...because you bring your own! BUT theyre technicians are terrible.Going somewhere that has trained technicians that know what they are doing and care about what they are doing....thats worth paying a little extra for.

They knew nothing about the parts I supplied them. Told me it was a 3 hour job and I come back an hour later only to get told that they couldnt do the job because the part wouldnt fit, and needed some tires and rims put on and they still couldnt do the simple job. Ended up leaving with no benefit to the car and charged 300 dollars for labor.Took my vehicle some where else and the tires were put on in 5 minutes and the other shop said that who ever I had taken my car to before did NOT know what they were doing. Never going back. They just look for ways to take your money.

WOW! STAY AWAY!!!! They will ROB you blind. Those that say that these people are great is because they dont know anything about cars, this is not an insult its just a statement. One my employees brought his car here to have his brake pads replaced, he doesnt know anything about cars. They were SUPER friendly and nice to him. They explained everything to him in detail. They even brought him to the floor to see the car and show him the parts that needed replaced. THEN, 30 mins before they close, on a Friday, they told him that they needed to order parts and that the car would be ready untill Monday BUT that they wont charge him storage fees for keeping a car THEY couldnt fix, like if they were doing him a favor. Then they hit him with $750.00 bill. Thats not a typo. He drove there for brakes and left walking and owing $750.00. Since he doesnt know anyone else in town he called me for a ride. When he told me that the car that hes been driving to the job site daily, with no problem at all, wasnt running it didnt make sense to me so I went in the shop and talked to the mechanic. In doing so, I to found out that everything that they had done to the car,.other than changing the break pads, was COMPLETELY unnecessary. The second that they realize that you dont know the business they will pray on you like a vulture. To the owner of this place, DONT even dare to reply with your hollow Im soryy but the work was necessary line. Im a third generation mechanic, I was doing light scheduled maintenance like changing break pads and rebuilding car engines before I could drive. You should be ashamed. On top of that, they had all the parts there, they just didnt want to work pass closing time. This kid works sun up to sun down out in the elements to keep food on the table for his family and in a mater of hours he was robbed a weeks worth of pay. Stay AWAY. I brought my Ford F 150 in for break service. I was pleased with the job done. In the past I have taken my truck to Brake plus and they charged me for all sorts of repairs, that I feel I did not need but I was at their mercy. It Is hard to find a repair shop that isnt going to screw you. When I went to BYOP, they told mewhat I needed and what could wait and be repaired at a later time. Right their they got a customer for repeat business.Since my brake job, I have taken all my repair needs to BYOP and have been pleased every time. I suggest you give them a chance. Disappointed is an understatement. I initially went in to this location to have my airbag light checked on my 2017 Nissan Altima with 68,000 miles, and upon a diagnostic which I paid 110 dollars for, I was informed I needed my shocks and struts replaced, and that to pull the schematics on my lights it would be an additional 100 dollar diagnostic fee. This is where my problem arises. The owner Martin is not present in the shop due to COVID-19 which is understandable, but what is unacceptable is having one licensed mechanic in your shop and having another guy who knows little to nothing about cars taking pictures for you, and videoing you every step of the way. While at the shop I had to call Martin to find out what was wrong with my car, someone who wasnt even there! Pictures and video can only do so much. Its more than just what you can see. In addition the guy at the shop (not Martin) is never on the same page. I had to speak to two different people about different quotes and possible problems with my car. It was all extremely unorganized. Not to mention the office inside looks like someone ransacked the place. I dont recommend this place at all. Save your time and money. DO NOT COME HERE.

Had to update my post .... Had a terrible experience here will never go back. They charged me for something I didnt even need took vehicle in for brakes told me my calipers where bad .. they tried to say I needed to replace both of them ... They want to charge me close to 1000.00 and I told them no way . Then they where well you can replace the one that the side is wearing down on. So they charged me 600.00 + ..... Worst mistake ever ... In three months or less the problem resurfaced and then went back and they said well it could be this or that.. but I told myself these people have no idea what they are doing, I just left. Took it to a mechanic who works out of his house diagnosed it and said it was the brake line that was bad and materials and all less then 150.00.I DO NOT BE RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!

Ever hear of the mechanic shops that lie to their customers about perfectly functioning parts needing to be replaced? Well, look no further, at Bring Your Own Parts will do exactly that. I never thought I would ever do business with a company this shady. Being a business owner myself I would never treat my customers this way. I really dont like to write bad reviews, but I have to warn the consumer about this businesses code of ethics.I was born and grew up in San Antonio. I remember San Antonio being a city that helped out their fellow San Antonians. But it seems like that has change over the years. I like to believe that everyone is generally kind ( I know its naive but I like to keep it positive).Well this is how my experience with this business begins. I was traveling from Amarillo to San Antonio to visit family when I heard a slapping sound coming from under the hood. Once I investigated the situation I noticed the serpentine belt had split in two. I was able to locate the part at Ingram Park Mazda but they had a two day wait. I needed my Car back the same day and Bring Your Own Parts said they would have it done by the end of the day. So, I decided to give Bring Your Own Parts my trust and business. I dropped off the car around 2:30 pm and had a family member pick my family and I up. Around 5pm I decided to call them to check on the status of my vehicle. I spoke to guy that said there were more problems with vehicle than I expected. He said I needed a idle pulley and a tensioner. He said the car wouldnt be done until the next day. So, I went back to Bring Your Own Parts to pick up my luggage from my car. When I arrived at the shop I decided to look under the hood to investigate if the car was worked on. Bring me mechanically incline myself I noticed that no parts had been removed and it was nearly impossible for their mechanic to diagnose a bad idle pulley and tensioner without pulling the tire off and the plastic inner wheel covers. I know this because there were no finger prints on the wheel covers. I notice there were only families waiting for their vehicles with one person not including me upset with their service. The explained to be able my vehicles problems and I told him that how were they able to diagnose the problem even though they didnt touch the car. He told me that his mechanic diagnose the problem and those are his findings. I told him about me owning a mechanic shop back home and know the mechanics being thats what I do for a living myself. He said Well its like two doctors looking at injury and they are both going to have their own diagnoses. I said its more like one doctor saying you have a broken arm without having x-rays and the other looking at x-rays saying its a sprained wrist. So, I requested my car be returned to me, which it was( about the only good experience with this business). I was able to drive the car to my brothers because he had all the tools I needed. Within an hour I finished the job. And there were no problems with the idle pulley or tensioner. So, there was no need to replace those parts. I drove around the weekend and drove back to Amarillo with not problems. I dont understand how this business has managed to remain open. But please stay clear from them. Theyre after your money not your best interest.

Do not do business with this shop!I took my sons truck there to finish a job I started. The truck was running fine when I dropped it off. The repair was preventive. They stated telling me there was a problem with how the truck was running and stated listing repairs that needed to be done to fix the problem. Along with others repairs that were needed to make the truck safe to drive. All designed to scare me in to approving unneed repairs.I picked up the truck an took it to a ford dealership for another option. They discovered that the gasket at the mass air flow sensor was missing. They replaced it and recheck the computer and there ware no more issues. Some thing a honest or competent technician should be able to find. The gashet at the mass air flow sensor does not come out on its own. someone had to have removed it and I know I did not.I save myself $500 to $1,200 by taking the truck to a dealership for an inspection. When I asked questions, the person became very aggressive and use high pressure to get my approval for unessary work. Because I am handy and know what is need and what is not I was able to escape there trap.Bottom line - the repairs they said to be needed, Where not! I would not trust them! Go somewhere else.

DO NOT GO HERE.If i could give this place a -5 rating i would. Although Martin (store owner) said that people were working around the clock on my truck the date that the vehicle was going to be fixed kept being push back. At first he quoted me on a fair price but once he actually had my vehicle the price just kept going up. I understood that the vehicle had frame damage but my issue is with the reliable parts he put on my vehicle. From just driving my truck back from the shop to my house, after BYOP having it for a week and two days, I noticed a burning rubber smell coming through my vents. I pulled over and checked my engine, it wasnt that. The smell was coming from the wheel that had work done on it. After arriving at my home, i went to check the tire and the rim was so hot that i couldnt even get near it. After talking with some other mechanics they came to the conclusion that the caliper was sticking and bad. MIND YOU, i understand these were used parts but this started happening as soon as i left the shop. The owner actually got into an argument with my father because martin was just wasting our time at this point. He hung up the phone and called back an hour later.Im sorry this guy has been in the game for 30 years and thats all it is a game. He knows how to make money and beat around the bush to charge you more. I didnt even get a breakdown of my payment until it was time to pay. I just saw a commercial on TV for BYOP and was surprised that this place was still in business. Maybe if we keep writing these reviews, more people will read their dirty secrets, and bring their car elsewhere for repair. If only 1 person reads my review, they will loose money, and that will make up for the money I lost bringing my car to these people. Its called karma!!All these bad reviews that I read from other customers, are all true, because the same exact things I read happened to me as well. This shop employs liars, and it starts with the owner. Do not trust them. Bring your car somewhere else. The owner Martin puts on a Nice guy appearance, but hes really just a scam artist. I believe every bad review I just read on this site, because it all happened to me.They keep your car way too long. The estimate is always higher when you come back for your car.The original problem is not fixed the first time, and you have to return and pay a 2nd time to fix the same problem. They tell you things need replacing, when they really dont.I know someone who worked in the shop. He told me a lot of their dirty little secrets. The owner lives in a very expensive multi-million dollar house and his kids go to private school. I guess hell say whatever he has to say to his customers to keep up his fancy lifestyle and keep his kids in that fancy school. Take your car somewhere else. There are plenty of shops in San Antonio that would do better work at a lower price, and not rip you off.Check Craigslist for automotive repair. She took it to BYOP because our regular mechanic was very busy and she needed to return to college. This Martin called and told us that the tight rods from the rear were about to blow, and that he needed to repair them immediately or her tires would just fall apart. He also said it had all these leaks, ect ect..the list grew to the tune of $800. Thank God my husband had enough knowledge to know that the rear of vehicles do not have tight rods. I called him and told him to just replace the thermostat and not to touch anything else on it. Lucky for us, he didnt have it ready on time as promised, so I had enough time to look at all the ratings this scum bag has. This morning, he again tried to tell us all these problems the car had, and that he wouldnt advice us to drive it anywhere. I told him we were taking it to our mechanic and we would take care of the rest. He even told us he filled the car with coolant and old us the fans were not working. Also, the vehicle had to be test driven twice. This is due to the tech is not sure of his shotty work and they had to take our vehicle to a real mechanic for a second opinion. I know it needed a new timing belt and serpentine belt and was told it would only be $250 plus $50 for towing. No problem, I had it towed in. After they got it up and running again came the list of things that needed to be done to it. Since I was aware of most of those problems, I said fix everything that is wrong. So there is an extensive list of things getting replaced: transmission pan, oil pan,oil leak, rotors, drums, brake pads, timing belt, water pump, struts and strut mounts, control arms, and a bunch of other crap, the is just what I remember. After the work was done, Martin also tried to tell me the work I had done prior to the timing belt breaking was done wrong, which I know is BS. For a grand total of $3800, The car is running really good, but still seemed off to me. So I had it taken to another mechanic, referred to me by a friend, and he just did work on my other car. I told him what was going on with the car and showed him the paperwork from BYOP that showed him everything they SUPPOSEDLY did to the car. My timing belt was too tight, it still had an oil leak. My hoses where cracked so the engine had a vacuum leak. And there may be more to come because I asked him to look at everything, just like I told BYOP to do. So I am unhappy with the service provided, I feel very mislead and possible sabotage going on. Things that where supposed to be fixed were not. I wish I knew my friends mechanic before I took it to BYOP. I would definitely NOT recommend EVER going to byop. Thanks for your time.

VERY UPSET by the outragous labor cost at this store. Even when I spoke to the manager EDDIE he wasnt willng to come down on the price. I PAID 200 dollars for a brake and rotor change and it took them from Open to close to get it done. I AM BEYOND PISSED, Then come to find out when the guy told my husband that the e brake needed to be replaced he never said that it was a very very important part to my car all he stated was that it would be needed to pass inspection. I was sitting here thinking ok i have time to get it fixed. NOPE next day my brakes locked up with all 3 of my babies in the car. Called EDDIE back and he was like well youll have to pay another 200 dollars for labor. Worst part is I SUPPLIED MY OWN BRAKES AND ROTORS! WILL NEVER RETURN!!!!! WILL TELL ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN NOT TO GO HERE THEY PRICE GOUGE.

I was getting a cylinder 5 misfire code on my 2014 Jeep Wrangler. After changing the spark plug and checking the ignition coil my next step was to replace the fuel injector. Unfortunately Im not savvy enough to get that far into my engine. They were able to swap it out for about 1/6th the price Firestone wanted. It took a little longer than I was expecting but I was back in my Jeep the next morning.

This place should be called BRING YOUR OWN VASELINE because they wont provide you with any AFTER they screw you. I brought my car to them THREE seperate times (yes, that was my mistake) to fix the same problem. Each time they would say it was something different. By the time it was all said and done, i spent over $900 and the problem wasnt fixed. I took my car to someone else who knew what they were doing and it only cost me $400 and my car is now running like a STALLION! DONT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THESE PEOPLE. Youd be better off just walking in, handing them $500 and walking out, youre going to get the same results either way. But at least youll feel better about yourself because you wont be under the impression that they fixed your car. THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF! STAY AWAY !

This review is for the Bandera location. I wish there was a rating less than 1 star. My wifes vehicle broke down near this shop. As soon as it happened, we knew it was the alternator. Rather than pay a tow truck to bring the vehicle across town, we were able to drive it a half mile to the Bandera location. We told them all we want is the alternator replaced. A couple days later, they texted my wife to tell her a motor mount was broken, rear bearing had play in it,the engine was sagging because of the mount, and the fuel injection system was clogged with carbon and her van was not drivable. This was all false. We knew, for a fact, the only issue was the alternator. We insisted we pick up the van ASAP. We picked it up the next day (it was miraculously drivable). We immediately open the hood to find the air intake hose housing attached to the engine was completely broken. This was not broken when we brought the vehicle in. Our regular mechanic (and family friend) is assessing the damage now. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! Fortunately, its only a matter of time before theyre sued and put out of business.
