I had SA Specialties install a complete new AC and furnace under a promotional deal. The entire experience was smooth and straightforward, without upselling or hassle. The day of the installation, I received a call from the office prior to their arrival. Two different crews arrived early and completed the install within 4 hours. Jeremy and his team were all friendly, professional, and respectful of the home. Price, quality, professionalism are top notch. 100% would recommend.

I was badly ripped off by SA Specialties. I hired them to seal and sanitize my HVAC system and also do a couple of small repairs on my HVAC units. The estimate was $9,600 for the work which I assumed was reasonable (and would be a week-long project requiring multiple workers). It turns out it took 3 guys a total of 3.5 hours to do all of the work. The material costs for this project were minimal (I would guess in the $200-300 range max) so I was basically charged $1000 per person per hour for this project which is insane. When I asked the manger about why I was charged so much, he said it was because I had several HVAC systems and they charge a flat rate per system. He also claimed that he had a very efficient team that could get work done faster than others After discussing the matter further, the manger said he would give me a 2% discount thus bringing my total down to $9,400. Overall I would strongly encourage you not to use this company.Also, for the record: I was charged $3,500 for sealing my HVAC units using duct seal. I was charged $3,500 for sanitizing my HVAC units (which involved spraying sanitizer into my ducts while they were running; a process that probably took less than hour total)

They installed a new AC system at my family’s house. They managed to disturb the existing drain line and it started leaking. Now the living room is full of mold. At an 82 year old woman’s house. Not good business ethics. We do not recommend. At all. They will not admit to the fact that this was caused by all the movement in the attic when they installed the new system. So, we have to pay for it. Do not use their services.Not sure how to add, so I’m editing. You certainly did cause this leak, and we reported it immediately. You did the work, it started leaking. It’s simple. Your men were all over that area. You also managed to mess up her doorbell system. From my past experience with your management team you will deny that as well. I will be in contact with the better business bureau. I was hoping that you would use logic in your decision. Investigation? There was no investigation. Did anyone come talk to me? Nope. Just brush it off. I hope these photos get thousands of more views

We received service from your technician Edward. We are extremely happy with the time and attention he provided today. He was punctual, professional and very patient with us. We had many questions about our HVAC unit, and he answered each with a smile. Edward provided suggestions to lower our electrical bills and with us being Seniors it is very appreciated. Every time we have scheduled an appointment or technician to provide service the staff couldnt be nicer. Highly Recommend.

They replaced our old ducts and insulated our attic. When they were done it honestly felt like we had a brand new ac unit. The air blew noticeably harder through our vents and it cooled our house so much more efficiently. We have seen a difference on our AC bills as well. Some of the best money we have spent upgrading our house.

We have a very sophisticated Lennox system that is still under warranty for both AC & Heat. I woke up early Thursday morning to a very cold bedroom. I went downstairs and saw that the Lennox thermostat was not in service - or at least there was no activity and the screen was black. We called SA Specialties and the very polite and efficient receptionist handled everything leading up to the repair including asking me the right questions, account lookup, dispatch, etc. She told me of a repair availability for this morning - the next day. I pleaded with her to try to find someone/something that could perform same day service. After three minutes on hold, she scheduled Damian, a tech, to arrive around 4 PM same day. I was thrilled.Damian was prompt and arrived 7 minutes after the same receptionist had called me back (at 3:50) to tell me that he is on his way. By this time I had done enough research to have a pretty good idea of the problem. Damian arrived, immediately went to the unit in the attic and to the units on the roof. I retreated to my study. After 45 minutes, I heard the system initiate. He had solved the problem. Needless to say I was ecstatic. I signed the no charge service repair order and receipt and by 5:00 PM we were up and running as normal. Damian had not only fixed the thermostat problem, he also undertook a thorough inspection of the unit and made a recommendation printed on the invoice for a maintenance service issue. He merely pointed that out to me on the invoice - there was no pressure to accept it and no doomsday crap if I didnt. In sum, this company was prompt, attentive, and fixed my problem that same day. I could not be happier with their service and especially Damians most professional appearance and style. We will happily continue to use SA Specialties.

As a customer who recently had an experience with SA Specialties, I wanted to share my feedback for future customers.I had an issue with my AC that was brand new and that SA Specialties installed. They sent a technician out who did not seem interested in listening to my questions and concerns. He appeared irritated by my inquiries and would often repeat my questions back to me instead of providing clear answers. He stated that a wire connecting the two units would need to be replaced and did no further troubleshooting. The lack of communication and unwillingness to do a full diagnosis led to him leaving without fixing my AC unit, it just seemed like he was just ready to call it a day.When I called the office to report my experience, they were understanding but also mentioned that the previous technician was a senior tech and his assessment was likely accurate. Which made me feel a bit discouraged. However, they did send out another technician, Chris, for a second opinion.Chris was a breath of fresh air compared to the previous technician. He listened to me, answered all my questions, and was able to successfully get my AC unit working again before he left.I had recently purchased a new Air handler and condenser unit from SA Specialties less than a month ago, Chris ultimately agreed with the previous technicians suggestion to replace the wire, but upon closer inspection, he discovered that a wire was actually pinched in the junction box outside. After rearranging the wires and reassembling everything, the AC is now functioning properly. I do plan on replacing the recommended wire in the near future, but I am grateful that we did not have to go without AC over the weekend and that Chris was able to fix the issue. I do wish this had been mentioned during the installation process, as it could have been an additional service and revenue opportunity for the company and could of been done all at the same time.Overall, Chris saved the day for me with his professionalism, patience, and informative approach. I believe it is crucial for companies to ensure their employees are trained to handle customers with care, especially those who are without AC and in need of assistance.I highly recommend requesting Chris for any future service needs with SA Specialties. He definitely deserves 5 stars but this review is my opinion on the entire company and my experience.

I usually don’t give reviews, but felt the need to do one. Don’t use these people, they will try to sell you a system you don’t need. These guys came out and told me a needed to replace my A/C system. They also told me I should consider getting a new hot water heater. When I told the guy I just had a new hot water heater put in he looked dumb founded. Needless to say, I had someone else come out to check it. My A/C unit had a leak. It only cost $425 to fix the leak and full the system with refrigerant, compared to paying over $7.000 for a new system. I see why they have several complaints on the BBB. It’s always good to get a second opinion.

SA Specialties replaced my heat pump system and now has been doing semi annual maintenance checks. The techs are courteous and thorough. Chris did the most recent and found a part that needed replacing and did so under warranty. Great company. They also replaced my water heater.

Purchased an HVAC system from SAspecialties. They did a good job, were quick, efficient and affordable. I really like this company. The follow up services have been very good and helpful as well.

Ive used SA Specialties on my personal home and a rental house for about ten years with always good service. Today was no different. My home unit quit working and today Chris P came out and efficiently diagnosed our HVAC problem and informed me this and one other issue I was not aware of would be covered under warranty. Chris was diligent, easy going, and communicated what he was doing. I appreciate his service and SA Specialties is my go to HVAC company.

Technician Jason gets 5 stars. Company doesnt. Just found out they installed a HARD START UNIT on my condenser 2 years ago when my unit was 2 years old. (Lights were flickering hard). When they should have installed a SOFT START UNIT? Now want me to pay for the correct item. ??

SA Specialties has been absolutely amazing. They are available to come out quickly and are very professional and affordable. Christopher P was my technician today and he was very polite knowledgeable and got my unit up and running in a short amount of time. Ive done business with SA Specialties for years. I have personally bought 2 systems and referred many other family members. Thier pricing on a new unit is outstanding, no one can even come close, but this is where it goes south. I needed service for an older unit, and it turned out to be capacitor that I can buy for no than $20 on Amazon, they charged me $ 325 for this part, $79 for service and then $100 for a pound of freon. I dont mind paying for parts at a fair price but making a 94% profit margin on parts is basically unethical, they advertised affordable pricing dont you believe that and be sure you shop around

I have dealt with S A Specialties for about 10 years with great service every time. Today Chris and some others came and were able to get my A/C system working like new. The extremely hot days are no fun without air conditioning. These guys did great work and I will continue to use them every time!

We had a one off experience with SA Specialties, after one of the scheduled maintenance visits. Our AC stopped cooling in the evening (for a few to several hours) over the Labor Day weekend. Fortunately, they were open on Labor Day and returned my call first thing that morning and also sent their tech, PJ, to help us. He arrived and was great to work with. He actively and patiently listened, heard and understood what I said/explained what had happened after the maintenance visit. Then he went to work...checking out both pieces of equipment (the inside and outside units)Before he left, he took the time to share some info to help us be a little more knowledgeable of our AC unit.Bottom line is, PJ made it right for us and fixed the issue! Tried 4 times to call. They pick up. No one speaks they directly put you on hold. The last attempt I made to call a female could be heard saying Im on the other line. Buyer beware!!!they dont have parts if your ac goes out or furnace... you will have to wait 7 to 10 days for parts...mean while you and your family or either sweating in the summer or freezing in the winter!!!!!guaranteed folks!!!Response to the owner who seems to have answers to everything...this isnt the first time...our unit which was purchased through Sa Specialties went out during the summer..we were left for 3 days without ac while temperatures were soaring close to 100 degrees for weeks!!you guys didnt fix it another Co did.. your response to it getting fixed was we have no parts will have to wait weeks not days but weeks!!!. I have a hard time trusting new companies but the person I normally use was not available. I have to say that Julian our assigned technician was very polite and understanding. He listened to my concerns and was detailed on exactly what steps he was going to take and through his troubleshooting and expertise — he found the problem.The cost was very reasonable too.I highly recommend using their services.

Had an issue with with my AC last week. I eventually got it resolved using a 3rd party, and had some back and forth with the company regarding the cause of the issue.After hearing about my problem, the president of the company called me directly to offer an apology and cover the repair. I was absolutely floored by this action. I was used to their great customer service, but this was next level.After a somewhat difficult week, I can honestly say I will continue to recommend this company to all who listen.

We’ve had really good experiences w/ SA Specialties for 8+ years and plan to continue w/ them for years to come. Most all of the SA Specialties team has been very personal, knowledgeable, and seem to take pride in their company. Specifically, Andy has been amazing, taking time to answer my questions in detail, providing tips on things we can do ourselves to maintain our system, and showing me how our system and ducts are laid out. He explained a time line of sorts for what our specific system needs currently for efficiency, and what can wait. I trust Andy’s advice, as he’s concerned about his customers’ actual needs rather than high pressuring and upselling for something our system doesn’t need. It’s refreshing and rare to find a specialist who is very loyal and proud to be w/ their (locally owned) company. Erica and the other office reps are also helpful, friendly, personable, and seem to appreciate their customers. I’m grateful SA Specialties has qualified and quality staff, continues to be locally owned, customer focused, and hasn’t sold out to national companies like some others.

Got a complete HVAC install and duct change out with installation blown in the attic. The install went well except the duct installer accidentally put a couple of ceiling cracked in the sheet rock. SA Specialties did the right thing and got it fixed without giving me any hassle. NOW that is treating your customer right. The pictures are before and after the cracks.

We have had great support from SA Specialties since the installation of our AC unit. Today, we had an issue with the system and a service staff member was sent to our home. His name is PJ and the service he provided was stellar. The way he went about the job, the patience offered as well as his nice demeanor made the whole situation that much easier. The result was a functioning system and happy clients. PJ was nice enough to take time to explain how the whole system works and walked me to the outside unit too. PJ was great and if we have any other problems, we would hope to have him again in the future. Thank you SA Specialties and kudos to PJ.

Our a/c finally died two weeks ago. Nothing like losing your air conditioner as summer is right around the corner in San Antonio. A friend referred us to SA Specialties, a friend I trust. I had someone in our house an hour after calling, and the install happened the next day. I cannot recommend them strongly enough...we should have a 6th star available!

Called SA Specialties and got a same day appt to repair my HVAC, saving me from this hot Texas heat. Chris B. promptly located the problem, resolved it, and answered my questions regarding how to save money in: adding a needed solar fan and attic insulation (a special saving me $); buying a multiple year (twice yearly - summer & winter) HVAC maintenance package; and adding accessible filter boxes in the attic...which would make void the need to replace fan filters in my 12 ft ceilings, potentially saving me from falls in the process or handyman service calls ($50 minimum). I knew I wasnt being upsold, as I was already aware from my new home inspection that I needed additional attic insulation; and the solar fan I installed in my previous home reduced the heat in my attic. Chris got me a deal on the service fee, due to my being a long time customer. I havent had to worry about HVAC scams since using SA Specialties, starting in 2016, when they were the best price for the system I needed in replacing my HVAC system . And believe me when I say, I called EVERYONE to compare prices and their systems. I find, if I keep my HVAC maintained, I avoid the headaches I suffered from scams dreamed up by home warranty companies (HWC) who try to avoid repair or replacement, or spread required repairs over multiple visits (increasing service visit fees $ and days from work), and send out incompetent repairman (may also increase $ and time to repair mistakes)(read complaints against them all at BBB). Many of you have already experienced the HWC sideshow. No love here for them. Use the yearly fees you would give to a HWC and create a bank saving account for maintaining / replacing appliances as needed. Also, it will aid you in replacing outdated appliances/ systems that NEED to be replaced - on your timeline; when the HWC refuses to - and HWC instead, works to keep resuscitating your old appliance until the soul is gone. 💖💕

They are Shady! We called to get a quote, which seemed a fair one. We got a quote from another company, because who doesnt when spending over $10K? Anyway, they agreed to match the quote. When I asked for an updated written quote, the counter offer changed. I called their office and asked to speak with the Owner or Manager to give them another chance to get my business, especially since the financing was already approved (18 months 0% interest). No one was available but they promised a return call, but that never happened. In the end, I chose the other company (GVEC). SA Specialities lost my business of over $11K because they wouldnt honor the quote of adding an additional 4 of insulation in the attic! For me, it was the principal. They made an offer, but took it back...like I said Shady

Choose SA Specialty! One year ago, after interviewing three local companies to replace my 18 yr/old AC unit, I chose SA Specialties. They have excellent warranties, pricing is on target, and superb communications. Their updated software is able to provide you with excellent details so that you understand all their findings and any recommendations they may have. I received the same exact customer service this year with my warranty service call. Technician Lroy was very professional. He did not rush, and he explained everything in detail he was doing. I had questions on how to keep my upstairs cooler, and he gave me several tips and suggestions without trying to upsell me more of their services. I decided to schedule another service to add an attic fan, and Lroy was able to take care of everything before he left. I did not have to contact their home office to coordinate anything from this service or my next service. So, basically, Lroy, my technician, was my one-stop shop. A/C went out. I thought it was my very expensive thermostat. Christoper P. was dispatched. He diagnosed the problem in less than two minutes...a clogged drain that essentially shut down the entire system as a precautionary measure. He cleaned out the drain and completed the entire project in less than 30 minutes. I was highly impressed and significantly relieved. Thanks Christopher.

Please read this. After 28 years in the military I have come to expect courtesy and professionalism along with job knowledge. I have been with SASpecialties since they started. I just had my second complete system installed. I have to say they have always exceeded my expectations. I was very impressed with their job knowledge and attention to detail. They covered my floors in the working area and cleaned the area thoroughly when finished. They educated me on my new system, in detail (technology changes). They just seemed like they could not do enough for me. They took their time and were not in a rush. Throughout the last 17 years their service calls were twice a year and accomplished in an excellent manner. I never have had a bad experience. There always on time and do a thorough job. A person would be hard pressed to find a better service company or one that is just as good. A few special individuals who I can recall their names: Sylvia handles my phone calls in an excellent manner. Very helpful person. Andrew D., exceptional in all aspects. Always goes above and beyond. Jeremy R., excellent installer-super job, Bradley D, Great tech, really knows his job. There are more but I can’t remember their names (I am 84). Everyone I have dealt with has always been professional. I have to thank Jason for building such a great company.

Phil came out and did a great job. Unfortunately, the problem was a defective motor on our downstairs unit which has only one year remaining on the 10/10/10 warranty which wasn’t in stock so he couldn’t fix the problem right away but explained things very well and arranged for installation of a new more efficient unit as quickly as a replacement blower motor could be installed. He didn’t push that. I made the decision on my own since this Lenox had been a problem since the beginning. No fault of SA Specialties. Just a Lenox quality issue. Phil also did the summer maintenance on our upstairs unit in an efficient manner. Very pleased!

Jeremy is an experienced, rock-solid tech and an asset to SA Specialties.We used SA Specialties many years ago in our previous home. Once we moved, we dealt with mostly charlatans and crooks. This is my third purchase from SA Specialties. The first was a Lennox in 2013, the second a Goodman in 2022, and this latest one a Ruud in 2024. I opted for their special RUUD 14 SEER 2 with 10 years on parts, 10 years on labor, and 10 year maintenance (spring and winter) for $8998. Since didnt need insulation, I was given an Air Scrubber by Aerus.I want to commend the installers, Brian and Jordan. They were attentive to my requests, ensuring drop cloths were used on the staircase and carpeted area, and they even took their shoes off. Both gentlemen were knowledgeable, very polite, and efficiently completed the job as a team.Keep up the excellent work guys, and thank you for getting my new system up and running smoothly! Great job!

I want to give a gigantic shout out the Uli, Jeremy and Tyler for their services. I performed my market research with other companies and even contacted a couple that had replaced units in the neighborhood. After seeing those techs return to continue for whatever reason, I decided to contact your company. Uli came to our home, presented the companys equipment/services in an extremely professional manner. The techs, Jeremy and Tyler were at our home to replace both inside and outside units last Thursday. These gentlemen did an amazing job. They were so polite and gracious. They knew exactly what they were here to do which is why I also went above and beyond to ensure they had shade/meal/drinks. We knew this was an all day affair. Hey, they were done, cleaned up and ready to depart in less than 6 hours. Please give these gentlemen a promotion and a raise. Thank you for your service. These guys ROCK! Our new units are fantastic and they didnt have to return for any unfinished business.

Made me aware of everything he did. Pointed out those areas on the outside connected to the inside unit and made me aware of air ducts in the attic and the importance of balancing air circulation.

Called them for a service call to troubleshoot why my AC was draining a lot of water and making a hissing noise. The lady said I needed to service the unit and clean it. I said ok, paid for the cleaning and even pre paid for them to come back in the winter. My unit I still making the same noises and freezing up. They will not come back out without charging me again. I told them no they said sorry not helping. I asked them to refund my “next appointment” if they can’t honor their original appointment. I was told it would take a lengthy process but unlikely.I will never use them again and make sure my neighbors know the same.

We had the spring maintenance done under warranty. Technician Garcia was very pleasant to deal with. He was very knowledgeable and he explained to us what he was doing. We were very happy with the service.

Phil, Jose and Alex did a very good job on the complex installation of a refrigerant line replacement working in tight spaces and having to bend/curve the line around 3 corners to the 2nd floor soffit and then another 30+’ to the air handler. It was not an easy job and their expertise and professional was very much appreciated.

SA Specialties is a great company. They work well with their customers. Recently we had an issue with our ac and their techs were sent out the next day. The tech informed me of a hot water heater special. Our hot water heater is 10 years old and we had been thinking about getting it replaced. We told the tech we would like to take advantage of the special pricing and SAS sent a team out the next day. Installation was completed in about 3 hours. Thanks to Trine the tech and Erica in the office for coordinating all the required work. Will not use anyone else for our HVAC and Plumbing needs. Highly recommend SA Specialities.

SA Specialties has an amazing culture for customer support. They planned the implementation of our two NEW 5 Ton 14 SEER units before the business season; when it gets hot in HOUSTON. One of the units had a minor problem with the capacitor. DAMIAN was dispatched for an early Saturday morning appointment. The customer service team was in constant communication; the issue was diagnosed in short order and the resolution implemented. Extraordinary Customer Service IS going the extra mile, but IT IS also receiving confirmation that the service that was provided is more than acceptable. You dont point the customer to the solution they need, you TAKE THEM THERE. DAMIAN did that for us on this day. I hope this review and comments are shared with him!

Very grateful my son-in-law just happened to see the TV commercial after I nearly went into cardiac arrest (JK) at hearing the first bid, which was almost double what I paid for SA Specialties. Weve been very happy since we had them install our new unit last year. We had a minor hiccup right after install, but shout out to Chris for coming on a weekend to get it fixed asap! They are always very responsive, get someone out quickly and keep things running great. The 6 month service check ups that are part of the warranty have been great as theyve been able to catch potential issues before we even have a problem. Excellent customer service. Cody came out today to fix an issue with our air scrubber and was extremely knowledgeable. He knew exactly what the problem was and got it fixed on the spot.

I must say buying large items for your home can be very stressful. Our AC went out the week of the heat wave in Houston. I saw the SA ads on tv. We called a few companies, But Keith H our salesman was ever the professional. SA had the best price by a mile, Keith assured us install would be fast. The next day the 2 young men showed up ready to work. Finished in 4 hours a complete install!! The 2 young men Cody and Austin I cant praise enough, very professional and courteous. I really cant express here how nice this experience was. Looking for an AC give Keith a call and ask for Cody and Austin, you will be pleased!!

It was time for our routine maintenance. It was easily scheduled, and Andy, once again, did a great job. He was courteous and informative. From this, and past experiences, we always request him as our service tech, and will continue to do so.

You get what you pay for. Service is terrible. I had a new unit installed a couple of months ago. Within a week the unit was leaking into the ceiling of one of my upstairs rooms. I called and they reluctantly send out a tech on a Saturday. Tech comes out and said someone would call and arrange to come and fix the problem, and the installation was also done wrong. No call. SA Specialties call me and say the city needs to come and inspect the installation. This was several weeks after they sent out a tech and a coincidence. City come, several things failed the inspection. They would pass on the information to SA Specialties, so they can come and fix it. No call. I called them because my unit is still leaking. Still no resolution. SA Specialties do not know how to treat customers and resolve issues. They maybe one of the cheapest. And now I see why.

I have waited and waited to post this because the fact I was so irate over my experience with sa specialties on 4/19/24. I had the unfortunate experience of having my unit breakdown and understanding I was about to spend a lot of money on this. To put toys in perspective I haven’t been comfortable in my house during the summer the entire time I have lived there (7 years). I proceeded to get quotes and I had the unfortunate experience to meet a sales person (Chris) that represents sa specialty come into my home and promise me the world. I know we have all been let down before. I however was adamant on making my wants very crystal clear. I wanted to be comfortable. I wanted to be happy in the summer after spending all of this money. I was told they would add a new plenum, add a vent into my bedroom which is where the biggest issue is. Vents would be added to the restroom, a return vent would be added to the side of the house that holds heat. All of that was not done. I am extremely upset. How can you guarantee work and the outcome if you didn’t even do what you said you would do? Again I was adamant on making sure the changes were done, I was promised that and they didn’t follow through. How many others have they sent this SALESMAN Chris to? Only to have him sell ppl empty promises. I would’ve gone to another company had I known. Please don’t come here unless you want disappointment. Poor customer service and they do not call customers back, nor are you ever connected to a supervisor when needed. We have been waiting for a call back since Thursday. We have failed 3 city inspections and they do not want to take responsibility for their work.Update…4th inspection failed. This is AFTER a supervisor reviewed their work. Inspector states work was half done. SMH!!

I encouraged several family members to purchase units from SA Specialties about 12 years ago. Awesome performance, but better than that was great customer service. It’s all gone downhill.Over the last 5 years or so, when my 85+ parents need help with their (very expensive) unit, they are always two or three days out for service no matter when we call. I don’t know how others get sooner appointments, but it will behoove you to know there must be some secret or preference. Worse yet is that my parents need to call SA Specialties during times when the unit is truly needed; most recently during the 2023 summer heatwave with San Antonio temps over 105, and again this weekend with temps in the teens. They were supposed to be here today during the 12noon block, but when we called to confirm we learned that we were placed with the after 5pm group. This is after we initially called them two days ago. This is so frustrating to me as this song and dance phone conversation is the new norm.As for customer service - in my opinion it no longer exists at SAS; when I’ve called for service the techs’ conversation and documentation upon completion is that the unit is “within levels” (which is no information about what they did) and then 10-15 minutes of, “we can upgrade your system by adding (insert product here) for only (insert $$$$ here).Unfortunately, my advice now (years later) is to avoid SA Specialties!

The technicians arrived timely and were courteous explaining what they were going to be doing. They placed blankets over our rugs to prevent any stains. In less than 4 hours they installed the furnace, coil and outside condenser and got the system running. Since they just installed the system, I cannot rate it’s potential longevity but it appears that they did a good job. Good experience and probably will use them again when my secondary unit quits working.

This was our third opinion about our AC. SA Specialties was by far the most professional of the three and Phil was our guy. He was incredible and the company should be thrilled to have him. He gave us four times more information than any other estimate and was overall a good guy and trustworthy.Jose came out the second day to make sure everything was running properly. He was also great and very informative. Nothing but praise for this company so far.

The service started inside; thermostat, filters, blower and attic insulation. With power disable outside, panel was removed and inspected. A capacitor needed replacing.Mr CODY presented me with an assessment of our system and options for continued service for piece of mind. Delivered factual and informative, I decided yes to a one year bi-annual service. I will recommend SA Specialties to friends and family. Service date 23 August 2023.

Update 9/9/2023After having my 3 year old unit serviced by LRoy on 8/24 and given a wonderful report, it then breaks down over Labor Day weekend. My family, pets and I suffered through triple digit heat. The house was sitting at 98 degrees. I had to purchase a hotel for 3 days. They sent Andy out on Tuesday who then tells me it’s the thermostat. He gets it running. I buy a new thermostat. I haven’t installed it yet. One week later 9/9/2023, the entire motor is broken. Jose comes to deliver this news to me. He also says he doesn’t know when the parts will come or when they will fix it. It’s Saturday night and I’m at a loss of what to do. Let me also mention that my unit stopped working during the coldest part of 2022. I have lost all high expectations from this company. When they sell you a brand new unit and you purchase their warranty, they promise they will be there day or night to fix the issue. Don’t believe them. This is twice now. A new unit shouldn’t have all these problems. I spent a lot of money to live comfortably. I trusted them. Buyer Beware!Prior:Thank you for sending Lroy out. He went over everything with me. He was very professional and made this easy for me to understand. He also offered a new product (solar attic fan). I jumped on that because I believe it will truly assist my unit in working more efficiently and effectively. I have never doubted my decision when I bought my unit from your company. SASpecialties sent Bradley Davidson to do our Spring inspection of our AC unit. He was thorough and professional. I appreciated when he would enter our home we would cover his shoes. I really appreciate .

My daughter’s system is only about 3 years old. They replaced the entire outside unit late last year. Now her A/C unit is out of service again waiting for a part. So no A/C for the last 3 days and no idea when the part might come in? I only found out how much trouble she is having trying to get her system up and running since I spent the night last night. She was told the part was coming out of Dallas. Who spends thousands of dollars for an entire new system only to have it completely down 3 years later for one part. This company talks a great game when selling the product 10 year parts/ 10 year warranty/ 10 labor BUT zero action when they don’t have the parts on hand to keep the A/C running. We will definitely try a different company next time. It might be time to call the trouble shooters to see what can be done to get her some better service! My grandkids deserve a better and safer climate environment.

I have had good experience with SA Specialties since Mr.Andrew has been serving my unit. When I first got the unit I had some bad experiences, it seemed like they didnt the technicians did not know what they were doing. But they got rid of the bad ones. And the new people are doing a great job.

Excellent Experience - Scheduled Install quickly - Showed up on time, Install took 4 hours- They were gone. The Technicians were extremely polite, knowledgeable and courteous. They did exactly what they said they would at the price they quoted.

SA specialty install two units on November 2015 and they under warranty till November 2025 I had an issue with one of them Tec came out on July 14 in the morning and discover one of the units the coils were leaking and they ordered one , now July 26 with 100 plus temperature still not fixed yet, every time I call they tell me will call you when we get the parts, it’s hard to believe it’s taking that long to come from Dallas, I asked to speak with the owner Jason immediately they told me no he will call you back or the parts manager will, no one called, my other unit working overtime to cool the house specially upstairs, my daughter had to go to my sons house about 40 minutes away because she can’t stay upstairs.I don’t understand the quality of the service they brag about, specially if they owner don’t call you back.

Phil, our HVAC tech from SA Specialties is excellent!! He does very thorough work and always is on time. SA Specialties is an excellent company with Very Reasonable Prices!! Jim, the head guy at the office gave us a really good deal on our New AC System 10 years ago and it is still running like a top today. Very honest company you can trust.

SA Specialties has been great to work with. I called for a estimate on a Sunday morning and a sales associate was at my house that same afternoon....on a SUNDAY!! Every other company I contacted wouldnt even return my call till Monday which wasnt going to work because the AC in my house was failing and needed to be replaced ASAP. I used this company through word of mouth of my neighbor that they were great. I had my ac replaced, insulation added, and duct system replaced. They were able to finish all of this in one day. I had multiple problems afterwards including the air not blowing well in the bed room, a water leak, and one guy fell through the ceiling. The company made sure that it was fixed though and done right. The owner even came out himself and fixed it. They worked on the system for 3 days until it was fixed. I was very impressed with the professionalism of everyone in the company and the dedication they showed to back up their work. I would recommend this company to anyone. Called SA Specialties for an A/C tune-up. Was able to get an appointment very quickly with a reasonable time frame. The day of the appointment, the office called to confirm the technician was on his way and would be there in 25 minutes. My technician was Lalo. He was fantastic!! I had the unit installed in 2014 and have had several tune-ups. Lalo is by far the best technician Ive had yet. He is very knowledgeable and let me know everything he was doing. He showed me where the drain line goes and how much stuff he cleared out of it. He checked my entire unit to ensure everything is working properly. My air filter is the most popular size so he didnt have any on the truck. I told him Ive never replaced it myself so while in the attic he made a video to show me how to replace it. It was wonderful! We just had our full system change-out today. I have to say I couldnt be more happy with how everything went. From Yaz coming out and providing me with all of the systems available to the men coming out to install the unit. Everything went smooth. I had several quotes and my best deal was with SA SPECIALTIES. I got a 10 year warranty on my unit and the best price. I even got a deal for paying cash. 5 stars. I only wish I called you first I wouldve saved time and stress, you already saved me money. All of my neighbors have the same unit and they are all happy. Thank you everyone at SA Specialties for everything. Like I said I couldnt be more happy.

SA Speciality came out to replace our broken capicitator and they installed the wrong size capicitator for our system which potentially caused us hundreds of dollars in additional damage and they were unwilling to work with us to come out and fix it because we owed money for that work that was never done correctly and caused hundreds of dollars of additional damage. We now have to replace our motor and potentially more parts because of their mistake. Very dishonest work I would not trust them.I would also like to add that in addition to installing the incorrect part he recommended an additional $600+ repair because he said the system still wasnt performing to specs. However when we called the second company over he found that the last guy had installed the wrong size fan for the motor which causes to over work which could be why it wasnt performing to spec. He also said you cant really measure if the system is performing to spec in extreme conditions you can really only do so first thing in the morning during the summers. He also did find a problem w the second part that the last guy recommended. It seems like SA Speciality sent us a very dishonest repair man who did not do proper work and was leading us on wold goose chases trying to make more money by making us fix more parts that werent needed and he was also dishonest by not fixing the first part correctly which caused further damage to our system. I am not a dishonest customer I pay when services are completed properly and honestly, but as far as Im concerned this company owes us the difference between what we owed them for screwing us over on their work and what we had to pay the next guy to fix it. Future customers deserve to know that its in their best interest to have a second company immediately review this companys work because they are not honest.

The technicians (Thomas, David, & Rogel) just left after installing a completely brand new system in about 3 hours. They arrived on time and finished the install quicker than expected. They were VERY helpful in explaining everything they did and even provided some suggestions on how to lower my energy costs with the new system.Doug was the sales representative and was absolutely fantastic! Strikingly Good. I called about my HVAC system failing. I knew the gal answering was a receptionist and I had a technical question she would not be able to answer. Amazingly, she forwarded me to Luke who took his time and answered my questions and actually suggested a couple fixes I could perform on my own?? He was not put out and was kind and smart. How many companies are out there where you find that? Amazingly good. For sure this company is worth you giving them a try.

Technician came to my house, Didn’t do anything after I told my unit was blowing hot air inside my house and ask if I wanted to try finance a new unit! Long story short my credit didn’t pass But still charged me the $79.00 dollars! No loyalty nor Honesty with this company!!!

Great response and reliable on the front end of the sale but misleading and lethargic response on the backend after the sale. I called for a service to look at a frozen unit they installed 2month ago. I received the ol Technician recommends looking at the unit the next day after 5pm to allow for a total thaw. 105 degree heat needed 26hrs to thaw out the line????I stated the line would be thawed out within the hour since the ac has been turned off for an hour, thats when TRUTH came out.....5pm the next day is the first available.We they say the respond fast when you need ac repair, they mean first available on their timeHurt me with the truth SA Specialties, it will go farther.

Great experience! Everyone was so friendly and professional. I spoke with Rosemary in the office and she set everything up so efficiently and was super nice. Im selling my house and needed some plumbing and HVAC work done ASAP and they were able to get me completely taken care of the very next day! Stephen is one of the sweetest guys ever, he and Byron came out to handle my plumbing and they were both great as well as their supervisor, Jerry!Lalo came out to service my AC, and he was also very professional and friendly. They were able to have all of this done for me in one day before noon! Super awesome, great people!

Update 8/12/2022: I am increasing SA Specialties to a 5-Star based on recent activity. SA Specialties installed a complete new system in out house in March 2017.We came home from vacation on 7/29/2022 to find that our condensate pan had overflowed and damaged the garage ceiling. SA Specialties answered the call in a timely manner. It was learned that two float switches failed to turn off the unit to prevent the overflow. The Tech rewired the float switches correctly and Jim, the Manager, had arranged for the repair to the damaged section of the garage ceiling. Thank you for restoring my faith in your Company!Update: I was contacted this morning as a result of the review that I had given below. I was provided with a sincere apology and a promise to address the matter accordingly. We as Customers would just like to know that you have our backs when in need and especially during an emergency. I will elevate the review from a 1-star to a 4-star, for awareness. Apology accepted....................................................................................................I purchased a 4-ton Unit from SA Specialties 3 years ago and the Unit runs great. Not sure the Variable Speed Units are any better than the regular as I am consuming more electricity. But that is not what this review is about.I was away on business last week and only my wife was at home, alone. According to my wife, the Unit stopped working and the inside temp was 90 degrees. I called SA Specialties on the 21st for emergency assistance and they stated they could not be to the house until Thursday. I am like, really... I paid over $7,000 for a system and you cannot be there for two days! I was so beside myself that I hung up.I had to call three Service Companies before I could find someone to go to the House. My last call was to Wills All Pro... Go Will!

I have been a customer for nearly a decade and have always been satisfied with service. They always are professional and provide good quality service. The techs, like Cody, are approachable, knowledgeable, and always willing to answer questions. I always highly recommend this company and its team.

These people will promise you a time to be there to install something 1 hour in they still aren’t there they have some excuses like the truck is broke down or they had to go and pick up extra equipment. Then 2 hours in you call and they are 7 minutes away they say. They always have an excuse. They are not very dependable. They always have excuses for everything . When I had an air unit put in one worker slept in his truck for 5 hours while the other 2 workers did all the work.

I was referred to this company by a coworker who overheard I needed a new A/C. I was skeptical that I would be wasting my time since I already had 3 estimates. I decided to give them a chance and Im so thankful I did! I was given an estimate in writing the same day and the price was outstanding! The technician that provided the estimate was knowledgeable, professional, and answered all my questions. I scheduled my new A/C installation for two days later. The technicians arrived on time, looked professional, and were courteous with the noise level when they noticed we had a newborn in the house. The installation was fast and done right the first time. I highly recommend this company and I plan to use them for my yearly A/C maintenance to keep our new unit in tip top performance.

They try their best to provide good service, but the Goodman A/C units we bought two years ago have already broken down twice this summer. Fortunately the parts and repairs were covered under the warranty.

I cannot say enough good things about Lalo with SA Specialties! He was professional, polite, courteous, and overall an HVAC wizard. I had been sweltering without AC in triple digit heat for days and he was able to diagnose and make recommendations quickly. I wish there were more people like Lalo in this world! This review may show up as being written in 2018. I am editing that review where I gave this place 5 Stars. This review is for July 2024.I had AC Specialties come check my AC because it kept running. The unit is less than 3 years old and it seemed odd that it wouldnt shut off even though the temperature in the house matched the thermostat setting. The technician told me I had leaking seals on the ductwork in the attic and told me it could be resealed for $600. He also said that, along with the sealing, they could put some sanitizer through it which would help cut down on any bacteria or mold. I told them I would think about it and get back to them.I decided to go ahead with the duct work sealing and scheduled an appointment. Two technicians came to my house around 8:30 in the morning and were finished by around 9:30 am. I thought $600 was a bit expensive for one hour and about one tub of sealant (I checked online and its less than $50/tub). I had agreed to the price, so there was nothing to do about that, but I asked them if that had put some sanitizer in the duct and how long it would take. They said it would take about 30 minutes, but it wasnt on the work order. I explained to them I was told that it would be done along with the sealing. They referred me to the main office. After about a 1/2 hour of going back and forth with the main office, they had the original technician call me. He vehemently denied telling me it was included and told me that the duct sanitizing would be an additional $600 and that I must have misunderstood (or I am lying - I am not). That was that. there was nothing I could do. On a positive note, the guys who did the ductwork sealing seem to have done a good job.I have 3 ten year warranties with this company for units in other properties. I hate to say it, but I wish I did not. Essentially, they wanted $1200 for what amounted to about an hour an a half of labor, some mastic and sanitizer. Talk about inflation! If you dont make at least $1000 an hour, you might want to try a different company.

Purchased a new AC system without an outrageous price. Quote on Friday installed on Monday. Professional crew all the way around. This is the second system I have gotten through this Company. One at my old house and one at my new place. Update: Had to call for repair, and Jose was here within an hour. Did a thorough diagnosis and got everything back online. All under there unbeatable warranty.

To begin with the salesman Robert did a great job of explaining his assessment of the issues and the options available to us. There were no high-pressure tactics and just clear information that allowed us to make an educated decision. Rose and the office staff handled scheduling and set up of the installation seamlessly, quickly and efficiently. Installation technicians worked under tough conditions including a power outage in our area as well as thunderstorm and did a great job taking care of a proper installation. The only slightly disappointing thing was a follow up service technician who came to adjust the unit after installation seemed annoyed and was quite rude during his visit. That being the case, it in no way takes away from the 5 star rating or overall experience we had and we would use them again without reservation.

What a great experience! I had several plumbing quotes to do some minor plumbing work during a shower remodel. I was hesitant to call SA Specialties because their quote was so much lower that I worried about the quality. With the cost of the remodel increasing at every turn, I had to take the most economical quote. I was surprised at the quality and attention to detail for the price I paid. The guys that came out were very knowledgeable, friendly, and respectful. They were able to knock out the work quickly and the shower looks and works great.Shortly after they completed their work, I had some major issues pop up in another area of the house (self-induced DIY plumbing issues :) ) I called SA Specialties again and they did not disappoint. A different crew showed up, but it was the same quality and friendliness I experienced in the previous visit.When the toilet flange in our master bathroom broke away from the sewer pipe, I knew who to call. This was our third, unrelated plumbing problem in just a few weeks. Part of the joy of remodeling an older home. Once again, great price, great work, and great timing. The team was able to come out quickly and repair/replace the flange.I mentioned the three issues separately for a reason. The entire cost of the work; the minor shower work, the issue I caused in the guest bath, and the toilet flange repair in the master, was less than the highest quote I received from another company just to do the minor shower work.I cant say it enough...if you want honest, high quality work at a fair price, you should call SA Specialties.

They installed my Lennox systems 5 years ago and did an awesome job. They were professional, took pride in their work, and left my home spotless.5 yrs later my fan motor went out and they came the next day, had the part the following day and installed it.... It was a warranty repair and serviced me just like they did with my install.I won’t use any other service in Houston...

My HVAC units were purchased and installed by SA Specialties. Recently noticed what I thought was an AC short cycling. Called SA Specialties and they sent out a tech the same day. Joe, the tech who arrived as scheduled, found the problem, rectified it and showed me what I could do here to mitigate this problem in the future. He was courteous, competent and helpful. Kudos to him and the customer service representatives I spoke to for their professionalism and friendly demeanor. I am extremely happy I chose SA Specialties for my HVAC needs and will continue to do so. Their continued after installation surface is outstanding.

In April I had two full systems installed. Today, Saturday, Sept 17, at 5:40 pm one unit stopped working. I live in this one. I called, and their answering service says they wont respond until Monday. What good is a maintenence agreement if you have to wait over the weekend for service when temperatures are in the 90s? These two systems are less than 5 months old. I am not happy with the delay. If I dont get this quickly and fully resolved, my next review will be quite critical. (And they said they were special ordering a better thermostat for one unit in June,but I have heard crickets.)

Chris with SA Specialties is knowledgeable and does the job effectively and efficiently. I purchased my unit 5 years ago and I get the unit serviced every year. They call me to schedule an appt every year and they are always on time. Highly recommend this company to provide the service your need for your HVAC needs!

OMG this company is the BEST! Friday night our AC just stopped working and it was still in the 90s here. I tried to use our home warranty but they couldnt come till the following Wednesday. I called SA Specialties on Saturday morning...HOPING AND PRAYING and she FIT US IN! He was here about 6 hours later and although he didnt have our specific part, he was able to bring the system up till he could come back the following week and do a permanent fix. BEST COMPANY IN THE WORLD!!!! And the technician Yaz was AWESOME also!

System Technician Letty went over and above helping me get this needed work completed. She was not only instrumental in getting everything in order, but she kept in constant communication with me regarding the progress of the services and finances. I had previously had a complete HVAC system installed by SA Specialties, and this time around I had all of the ducts replaced. Letty is definitely a terrific asset to SA Specialty.

We buy two air are news in less 3 years we have problems and ask for repairs 3k. Really if is news why? He said Warranty only 2 years. I’m do not recommend because take for appointments two weeks to checking the problem and we have to many issues with this company.

Technicians that made two calls for service on my AC unit this month were very knowledgeable and great to deal with. First call Oscar came out for maintenance check. Identified a leak in the unit. Then Phil and Juan came out a couple of weeks later to install the new part. They ran into some problems while doing so but they were patient with it and took their time to get it done right. Ive always received outstanding service with SA Specialties!

Javier completed the Spring maintenance on both units. He was very thorough and found a bad vent leak from our last roof replacement. We would never have thought to look for leaks from the ceiling in the a/c closet. Water can ruin the electronics inside modern units. Two installers, Albert and Alan came out the same day & replaced the tubing & vent. Both took the time to explain what & why they did. Worked fast & clean. SA Specialties is not cheap but you get good service.

I had excellent service , from calling to get an appointment for an estimate , Yaz was on time friendly knowledgeable and professional so was Mark & Sal who installed my new AC. My A/C had been leaking for about 6 months . I had two different companies come out and they could not find the problem. They were only interested in selling me a new overpriced unit! My friend recommended you guys so I called. Lalo came to my house and I explained the problem. Lalo went into the attic and within 10 minutes found the issue and invited me up to see it. It was a secondary drain that no one else could find!! Lalo cleaned it out and no more leaking!!! Lalo was friendly, respectful, and very knowledgeable !!! We recently had a new ac/heating unit installed by SA Specialties and were very pleased with both the price and the workmanship. Robert was the salesman who provided a lot of information and a competitive price. The units were installed by Art and Greg who were very professional....and the cleanup was great. Our heat pump finally gave out on our 30 year old A/C unit and had to replace both outside compressor and inside air handler. We met with three HVAC companies and chose SA Specialties. They did a fantastic job! The salesman, Rolf, was knowledgeable and easy going. The installation crew laid down cloth on our carpets before the work was done and they couldnt have been more polite and professional. They were also great about making sure our pups didnt get out.
