Second update: I added pictures to show that the valve is what was messed up, and you can see the bit that is stuck in it that should not be. You can also see it stripped as if they tried to take it out, but couldn’t and said screw it and left it. I also added a picture of the brand new one that was just installed, and how it is supposed to actually look. It is very clear this was an error/screw up from the original installation from A US Air conditioning of TX 3 years ago. The new technician even said he was surprised it was even working up until last week. This is a piece that is inside the actual unit and only this company has had access to our air conditioner is them.Update:turns out our AC was not installed correctly the first time which is why it is now broken 3 years later and still have to wait another 4 days for someone to come bc the part is not available. They also didn’t even bother to tell us they weren’t even come nor was the part available. the technician also didn’t put in the notes that it was installed correctly, even though he himself told us this.Do not use this company at all. Find someone else who in fact is local. This is not a local San Antonio company, they are actually based out of Garland, and this San Antonio one is just one of their offices. We are from San Antonio. We were told they were a local company only to find out after they installed our brand new AC unit, mind you just 3 years ago, it broke the next day due to incorrect installation. Now here we are 3 years later in record triple digit heat, and our AC is completely broken, and they are telling me I have to wait 5 days to have a technician come out. Normally I would just use another company but after dishing out over $6k, just 3 years ago on a brand new system, outside and in the attic, it is still under warranty. I have 2 small daughters and 2 older daughter, 3 dogs, myself and my husband and our upstairs is reading 95 degrees and downstairs 87 degrees. I don’t know how they expect us to wait 5 days for someone to come out and help us. It was 108 two days ago, 105 yesterday, 101 today, but that ok right? We’ll just die of heat exhaustion until someone comes out. I cannot believe After three years, a brand new AC unit is broken. According to the company, the brand of our AC unit is Goodman, which is one of the best manufacturers for a unit, So that just tells me then it was not installed correctly, which is why it’s broken now. We’ve had to spend over hundreds of dollars on fans and portable AC units just to try to keep the house cool and it’s still 90° in here. I’ve called multiple times. I’ve asked for a supervisor three times and still have not spoken to one. I asked if they could contract out to another technician or company so that we can get somebody out here ASAP and they still won’t do that either. I told him that if any of us gets sick and we go to the hospital that I will personally hold them liable for the bill and they said that they won’t pay it and it does not work that way. I said if we go to a hotel then they should foot the bill and they said they will not. I Urge anybody who is reading this to not use this company at all find somebody else because they are not reliable. They are not prompt and they do not install equipment correctly. I understand things break but I would not expect an AC unit that is only 3 years old to break so soon. Especially if the manufacturer is one of the best. I’ve have AC units 10 years older still working in other houses we have lived in and even for our family members at their houses. They keep telling us they will call us back and they still won’t. And Chuck who is the installation/ technician manager, don’t believe him when he says he will call you back if you have an issue, because he won’t. They just send you to him when you ask for a supervisor, he talks over you so you can’t even get a word in, says he is going to have a technician out asap, but doesn’t give you a time frame and just says he will call you back, but he doesn’t. Unacceptable!! Do not use this company at all!!!

Still waiting for the tech to reach out to me, MIA I called 5 times, left a message no call back, I was contacted by them through American Homeshield home warranty that has a contract with A US Air conditioning, Dehumidifier filter is bad that started leaking water, the tech came in and turned off the water and told me he has to order the part and install it for 300 dollars I agreed on doing that but Im going in week 2 since he came and yes he was suppose to be here with the part on Saturday he never showed up and when I called after hours service and sent him a message he said he doesnt have the part that easy never bother to call or return a call.I am going to use different company and Im still waiting for him to come back and turn off the water, my system been on bypass and if there is any damage to the system the A US company will be liable.I will not use them even for free. Stay away the worst experience ever.I would have giver zero but just one is minimum

This company was used based on my home warranty. DO NOT do business with them! They first came by my house to inspect and assured that they would turn in the findings to the home warranty. This took over a month to do so. After constant calls on my end they decided not to do the work. The home warranty decided that they had to complete the job so another technician came by and took more pictures. AGAIN, after ANOTHER month, the home warranty had to constantly call to get them to turn in the paperwork. Once that was settled, Chuck from Installation called to set up an appointment. After explaining to him that the authorization they submitted was wrong, he HUNG UP on me! Totally unprofessional and not customer oriented!! As a customer, please find another company who is professional and will treat you better.

Never let this company near your home!! By far the MOST unprofessional and unethical company that Ive ever encountered. Its a long read, but worth it if youre looking to hire this company or have them assigned to a pending work order through American Home Shield (AHS).[1/5] Approx. 2 wks. ago, the AC unit started leaking in the garage of our rental property. A US Air Conditioning was the company contracted to fulfill our service request through AHS. The first red flag was immediately following a conversation w/ my home warranty provider. The ticket was expedited due to concerns of potential water damage and mold growth as the leak was initially discovered Saturday night and we were unable to follow-up until Monday morning at 8:00 am. Were in Texas and turning the AC off was also not a viable option so the leak had continued throughout the weekend. Shortly after finishing the conversation w/ a representative from our home warranty company A US Air Conditioning contacted me to schedule an appointment. The earliest they would schedule us was for the following Wednesday. When I expressed concern and requested if there was same day service available due to the request being expedited, the scheduler very rudely said that the office had not received an urgent request from AHS and told me that nothing else could be done in that regard. Confused, I then immediately called AHS back and requested clarification to which I was then told that notice had been provided via both email and phone to A US Air Conditioning regarding expedited status and was told to follow-up w/ A US Air Conditioning. I then called A US Air Conditioning back to see if they had received the notice as AHS informed me that an additional email had been sent to the office. I was greeted with an even uglier exchange than the one I had received before and again was told that there was nothing else that could be done to help me. Exasperated I called AHS a third time and requested to remain on hold until a representative spoke directly over the phone to inform A US Air Conditioning of the expedited status request. Once off hold, per the AHS representative, A US Air Conditioning finally recognized the request as urgent; however, was unable to fulfill it prior to Wednesday at the originally scheduled time so I accepted it and hoped the damage wouldnt be too severe. The next day, my tenets informed us of possible mold growth so we hired an air duct and vent cleaning service for Wednesday morning scheduled prior to the anticipated arrival time of a tech from A US Air Conditioning. Unfortunately, cleanup was extensive, requiring the entire unit to be broken down, cleaned, and then reassembled at a total cost of $1,650. Because the mold and bacteria growth was more than anticipated, the serviceman w/ the air duct and vent company was still working when the tech showed up at the property to inspect the AC. Instead of calling my husband or myself (the landlords) directly to reschedule, the tech guessed it was a clogged line and decided to complete the work order w/o providing service of any kind. Upset that we had paid $100 to call out someone to inspect the AC unit for nothing to actually happen, I called AHS and requested a refund. While one wasnt provided, they did recall service to the house and another time was scheduled for the upcoming Friday. While the leak did seem to be resolved, we wanted to confirm the cause of the issue to avoid another hefty mold remediation bill. On Friday, the tech from A US Air Conditioning was a no call, no show. He ended up showing up unexpected on Saturday to an empty house as no prior communication regarding his arrival had been made. My tenets then again called to reschedule and yet another appointment was then made for the following Friday. The day before; however, to my surprise, the AC tech reached out to ask if my tenets would be on the property that afternoon. Despite multiple calls to A US Air Conditionings office and promises that the tech will be reaching out the day ended again in another no call, no show...

They came out to tune up my heater. They said it was good before they left. It didnt work after they left. I called the emergency number and nobody answers or has called me back. I have 2 under 2 and cant have my young baby in a blanket. I said that in the message and still nothing. There is no emergency response. Horrible, horrible company with zero emergency response as claimed on their website.

Two guys, the older guy was a peice of work! only cares for the insurance NOT the home owner, got in out left a mess, said no warranty from their company because it was insurance work.Didnt want to check out the entire system to make sure it was all up to par. Sad!

They could have set my house on fire. In May 2015 they installed an air handler but did not install a surge protector, did not install a disconnect box, did not install the wires properly that connected to the amp breaker. We were lucky that it was not more serious. They are dangerous and should be out of business.

Negative stars! This company was supposed to come out twice to fix our unit in our new home. They said theyd call to let us know the time frame to expect them. No call. On the day they shouldve been here, they said theyd notify us when they were on their way... we sat around the house all day waiting, I lost sleep the following day waiting... still no call!!! Its August, and we have a baby. Playing with peoples a/c isnt cool. This company is so unprofessional, lacks communication skills, unreliable, and needs new management to things things around!!! 🤬

TL;DRHad service requested through AHS. Tech failed to do any real evaluation. Charged it with freon and then left. Where I had hoped for a thorough diagnosis of the problem to prevent future issues, the company did what all AHS vendors in my experience do, left with bare minimum effort put into it.Long version of the story:Though it would appear not to matter as I’ve now read through volumes of similar reviews I figured I’d leave one anyway.We had a technician scheduled to make a visit through American Home Shield to address a concern with one of our two units not cooling properly.Prior to this, we had an old neighbor of ours come by and check on the units. His diagnosis was Freon leak to the larger unit in question and advised we take that through our home warranty service.A-US Air contacted us with the scheduled date and time of the appointment (this was about the best part of the experience). Upon arrival, the technician arrived and stated he’d start at the outdoor unit. After spending some unsupervised time with the condenser units he came back to us with the solution, to fill the unit with 2 lbs of Freon as the unit was low.This ”fix“ is great as a temporary measure to get the house cooler than it had been. However, there was absolutely no desire or willingness to venture into the attic to also take a look at the air blower units or do any further digging to identify if there is a reason/source for the low volumes of Freon. When he was pressed, he identified that it’s “probably” just a microscopic leak that no one can find within the coils and would require ordering replacement coils would result in no working unit for up to 5 day. When asked to go that path, I was told that this workorder is for Freon only, and that simply couldn’t be done… however, they do have a 30 day warranty.

Was required to use them through my home warranty American Home Shield. Service request went in late on Friday evening and service call was set for Monday. Not great but expected.Angel called late Sunday to set up a time and he showed up within that time window on Monday. He quickly diagnosed the problem, but was unable to fix the same day due to needing to order the motor.Repair was finally set for Friday (a whole week without AC but not really their fault) between 10 and 11. Angel wasn’t able to show up til 5 pm due to other jobs that ran late. Quickly installed new motor and AC has been running cold ever since.Communication could have been better and it would have been great to have someone come that first weekend but overall satisfied. Only cost was the service fee as warranty covered all parts and labor.

Do not use this company forced to use by American Home Shield. Sent to my house twice, fixed issues. However left wires exposed to the elements. Famous words are call AHS for recall. Lied to American Home Shield that my issue was caused by a power surge so they wouldn’t cover it. Told me it was because my policy didn’t cover the thermostat (it does). When I brought Jamie from US air on the line she insisted my contract didn’t cover the thermostats despite them being on the phone insisting it did. Jamie then hung up on me. It’s been three weeks without AC.

Same experience as so many others. American Home Shield sent them out. First they said it was a blower motor that needed replacing, then the whole housing that would take three weeks to get. Then the guy came back out and said it would take 3-4 months for the part so he closed the ticket and opened a new one stating that my coils were leaking, causing the system to shut off and I needed a whole new air mover. They quoted me $2400 that would not be covered by warranty. I called and asked for another company to give me a second opinion and it cost me nothing to replace the blower motor as it was under warranty. These guys are just out there ripping people off IMO.

Same experience as others. Had to use these guys through American Home Shield. Gave us the run around, never let us know when they were coming, showed up at 6:30 PM 6:30 PM and then 4:30 PM. Blew out the first part they brought to replace. Then told the office that they couldnt get the part but showed up with one. BF said the part they came with earlier in the week almost looked salvaged so maybe this guy was trying to pass off a used part and pocket the new one he ordered.And much much more. These guys are a nightmare. Totally unprofessional.

Well had this company come out under warranty and the first two representatives did not know what they were doing. Had another representative come out and they advised I needed an entire system air handler. Went ahead and had it done as the ac had been waiting to be repaired by said company for over a month. Company damaged wood floor and didn’t even bring their own ladder. Sent email to company to repair the damage and many calls but they keep advising needs to be emailed. Been waiting over 3 weeks now for an email response. Do not work with this company!! Beware, the good reviews are far inbetween for a reason.

Between them and American home shield I would give like all negative ratings. Now I can say that the guy that came to my house was cool and respectful. But when i called to pass along the information from AHS to them this guy gave me the worst attitude and that made them lose my business 100%. I took the low ball cash out lieu instead of dealing with a company that has not happiness in their life people that talks to us as clients. He and others like him can kick rocks barefooted in the snow.

Their tech guy tells me that a the R22 replacement refrigerant runs the exact same pressures as the original R22. Do a search on that and find no 2 refrigerants have the same pressures. My AC still isn’t working correctly considering it doesn’t have R22 and the pressures are set for R22. Great! Wonder why huh? No wonder there are so many one star ratings.

This company A US Air is a trash company! PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! My warranty company dispatched this company over to fix my AC unit early Oct 2023. The technician negligently replaced the TX Valve by putting the incorrect part on my unit. Due to the incorrect part on my unit it caused damage to my unit to where my AC and my heater do not work. All of the Freon leaked out everywhere on inside of unit. AHS sent them back over to fix issue and the technician was very unprofessional stating he would not fix it and he did not care. He proceeded to steal a $2000 part out of my unit. Also instead of exiting out of my front door like a normal person the tech jumped my back yard fence and damaged the fence. I have video of the tech stealing the part and video of him jumping the fence as well as my neighbors as witnesses. The tech lied and tried to say I threatened him with a gun when I have cameras in my home showing that ABSOLUTELY did not happen. I also had the police do a walk through in my home to prove their was no gun even present and to prove just how much this company is an unprofessional, lying, trashy, dishonest, corrupt, disgusting and disrespectful company. I tried to talk to the manager Rob Jackson about getting the $2000 ac part returned back to me by mail or dropped off at the police station and he cursed and hung up in my face so I will be pressing criminal and civil charges against this company. Please BEWARE!!! If AHS dispatches this company to you ask for another vendor instead! They WILL damage your AC unit, property, and even steal parts off your unit! Have AHS put them on a do not service list to avoid them!

Horrible experience with this company. I paid $$$ for new HVAC system which stopped working 30 mins later. I called them to ask if they can send technician back since it was working after they installed it. I was told no one is available and it will be taken care next day! This was when inside was 80+ F and no cooling. Luckily I had direct cellphone of technician who was kind enough to come and fix it for me. This company has no sense of urgency and service! American Home Shield sent a work order to this company on 5/1/23, they called that day to schedule my service for 5/3/23, they called back shortly and said they had availability on 5/2/23 so I took the appointment. They confirmed my address and said the tech would call me the evening of the 1st to give me my window of time, they never called. The next morning they called around 8:30am to cancel the call because the service tech called out of work and reschedule for the next day. When I explained my frustration, the caller hung up on me. I called back to speak to a supervisor and explain that this is interfering with my work schedule, he basically told me too bad and then he hung up on me. I called back that afternoon because the tech hadnt called to confirm my 5/3 appointment, they confirmed my address and guaranteed that a tech would arrive. Now today, the tech calls to tell me he is at a different address and that he had to cancel the service until the order was dispatched with the correct address. So now we are 3 days into complicating my ability to work and 5 days with no AC. I would give 0 stars if I could. We are asking AHS to dispatch to a different service provider.

Wow. If I could give lower stars than a 1 I would. Do NOT use this company. We called several times to schedule someone to see our air conditioning unit to fix it. They kept promising they would come within certain hours of the day leaving us to call off work to ensure they were there. They NEVER came. This didnt happen once, it happened MULTIPLE times. We are only using this service because of our HOA. After someone FINALLY came to see what was wrong, they kept scheduling times and days and ensuring us they would be there. Guess what? DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY & IF AHS ASSIGNS THEM TO YOU REFUSE TO ALLOW THEM ON YOUR PROPERTY!!!This company was sent to us through American Home Shield and from the start they were awful. We live in Texas 101 degree heat and this was set as a priority call on a Saturday which they dispatched the technician twice to diagnose and then didnt get fixed until Thursday. They were supposed to look at both of our AC units but regardless of my multiple calls to AHS verifying this the company denied knowledge and refused to look at the second unit. The technician told me he recommended we have the coils cleaned (which we do annually) and that would be an extra $400 which we declined. When he finally came to fixe the system on Thursday he walked into my home unwelcomed and unannounced without ringing the bell which was startling. I called my husband to speak to him and finalize the repair call and once we got off the phone with my husband he tells me he lost some freon while doing the repair and I needed to pay for it. I told him no and that I needed to call AHS - he told me he didnt have time to wait for that in which I replied that his company has had our family waiting for working AC for four days and he could wait or leave but I was not paying him. He left mad and yelling at me.I have made a complain to AHS about them and have asked WHY AHS continues to send this company out to their clients after reviewing the dozens and dozens of bad reviews.

My home warranty company arranged service through them. As always I expect the worst. This time I was pleasantly surprised.Arrived at the arranged time both days. Polite, thorough, and professional. He diagnosed a problem with the blower. Came back the next day with a new blower and installed it. He also took time to explain a couple issues with the furnace without trying to upsell me.I appreciated the little touches like covering his shoes before entering.They will receive my repeat business.

Just a shady company I was forced to work with due to my home warranty. Unresponsive, and when they do show up they recommend a lot of unnecessary labor to work up a big bill so they can get extra money without using the warranty.The guy claims my AC was installed improperly and now my warranty won’t cover anything. Requested through AHS. Like many others this ended up being a nightmare. The company is actually based out of Dallas and they just have technicians who live here in San Antonio. Theres a very small number of technicians.I blocked off one of my investment homes thats an Airbnb for the appointment and they still couldnt hold the appointment and canceled causing me to lose money. Luckily I was able to see their poor performance ahead of time before really needing them for a breakdown. They help me to decide that canceling American Home Shield would be the best decision for me and just to pay for the things out of pocket where at least I have control with reputable companies that are actually located in San Antonio.Look at the 2.5 star rating it is a perfect reflection of this company. They are the only company that American Home Shield will use so beware.

Starting mid-week last week my AC system was running very long several hour cycles, even in the overnights, struggling to remove moisture from my home. I contacted my home warranty company, who dispatched A-US Air Conditioning. The tech came out this past Saturday morning and diagnosed a leaking service valve which resulted in low refrigerant. He replaced the valve and topped off the system. The tech worked on my system for maybe 10 minutes. It worked initially, but eventually failed. I had been running errands and working outside so I am not sure when it actually did fail, but it was within a few hours. Home warranty company finally managed to contact A-US after several attempts and they refused to send anyone out until Monday of the following week. After this lack of care and concern from A-US I refused to let my home warranty company send them back out. If they break it, they need to remedy it on an emergency basis. Especially when the outside temps are forecast at 100+. Due to their techs poor performance, I am now out an additional $600 for needing to purchase room AC units as I cannot have my pets in a house that is running over 90 degrees.

I called and placed a work order in with American Home Shield and they dispatched this company to my home. After reading the reviews, I was super scared that no one was going to show up and temperatures have been well over 100 degrees since late May. However, shortly after my appointment time, Mr Martin called and said he’s in his way. He came in and fixed the problem immediately and now I’m back in business. I have been waiting for over 5 weeks to have my AC fixed in southern Texas. They came out the next day after I called a quickly diagnosed the blower motor is out. 5 weeks later still not fixed. I can’t get ahold of the technician, the call center in the Philippines us no help, they transfer me to the main office and I get voicemails and no one calls me back. They have the technicians doing scheduling, repair, parts ordering and customer service. This company is BROKEN!

Do not recommend currently getting scammed by them. I’m at the point where I’m going to seek legal action because they have left me in distress and extreme heat causing me to go into preterm Labor preeclampsia hypertension they install a new unit and they don’t even know how to do that. It keeps freezing up and they still won’t fix it. They are slow to try to fix it and they keep coming out like to my house 20 times. I am not one to write reviews but my experience with this contractor has been beyond miserable. The WORST contractor I have ever used in my life. I wish I could say that I’m being dramatic or embellishing but I am NOT. ZERO communication, ZERO accommodation, blatantly rude office schedulers and complete lack of respect for their customers. This doesn’t even include the actual servicing of the AC unit because that hasn’t even happened yet and it’s been 3 weeks of just trying to schedule a tech who doesn’t show up to my house without scheduling the appointment time slot!!

I had A-us Air come out for my heating issues and they tried to tell me that it was due to my nest installation and that it was losing power from the furnace. I had an electrician come and test the wires and check the thermostat installation and found no problems with power. I called another company out as a second opinion and they found the issue and fixed it quickly. It had nothing to do with the nest thermostat. A-US Air wasted my time and money by misdiagnosing my heating issues.

Not sure why this company has so many bad reviews. Maybe its because they are so spread out across Texas? I believe the main office is in Garland but we had them come out for service in San Antonio. They were assigned to us through American Home Shield as our warranty for our air conditioner. At first I called on Friday morning around 8am to get an appointment but they didnt have anything till Monday morning. AHS was very helpful letting them know we had an emergency situation with the temperature expected to be close to 100 that day and all weekend. Michael soon called me and let me know he was having a technician come in a matter of hours that same morning. I was very surprised and happy to hear it! Bill was the technician that came out. He was very friendly, professional and was in and out in fifteen minutes! He fixed the problem by replacing a part and had our AC back on blowing cold air, no extra charges or anything. Again, maybe the bad reviews are area specific but Michael and Bill were awesome. Were bookmarking these guys for any future issues!

They did not call the day before to schedule the appointment like promised. We had to call to schedule and confirm. Tech said I need a heating pump when the unit was brand new and installed by a family member who does all this work for me. We tried to DIY a new wall mount and did it incorrect making the once working heater not work! Call American Home shield for convenience and they assigned this company. Tech said it needed a new heating pump which was replaced last April and used only for 4 months and up to last week before I DIY the wall mount to a nicer touch button model. I have done property management for over 15 years with over 70 units. I was dismissed because I’m a female and trying to make money off an appliance claim. American home shield continues to use the worst rated companies. Sad my tenant was told he needed to return to with an expensive part when the heater worked for them the first time we recalibrated the new wall mount. Something simple is turning into a nightmare. No a fan of US Air Conditioning of TX .

THE WORST! Had them out in early June to fix the A/C on a rental(not cooling). They fixed it and said to pour bleach or vinegar down the drain line once a month. 34 days later it stopped cooling again. Paid them to come out again, and they fixed it after a 5 minute visit, and said to pour bleach or vinegar down the drain line once a month, which my tenant had done. 32 days later the unit has the same problem, not cooling. They refused to come back without charge as it was past the 30 day warranty. I definitely do not trust their workmanship, and would not recommend them to anyone. When I spoke to a manager, Angel, he did not care at all that it was a recurring issue, and said Id have to pay again. Truly the worst service.

He showed up, checked out things in the attic, then went to the outside unit. The outside unit would not cycle on and it seemed to be some type of relay problem. Since the unit was not common in my area, he had to order parts from out of town and he said he may have it the next day and would call with an estimated time for when my unit would be repaired. My issue is that I received no call from the tech the next day. I attempted to call him (I had his cell) and the company directly but no one answered or returned phone calls when I left voice mail. I find this unacceptable. We are going into the weekend with uncertainty as to when the air conditioning will be repaired and it has already been 3 days since the AC went out. I am in South Texas and temperatures get to the mid 90s during the day right now. All I want to know is timing so I can make plans to go out of town, in relative comfort, or hang out, waiting for a tech in the heat. If the part takes awhile to get in so be it, I understand, but this lack of communication is just bad business. Overall my experience with A-US has not been satisfactory and I would not recommend them. I think AHS should find another vendor.

However I am very happy to report that I was VERY satisfied with my experience with A-US Air of Texas. I was quickly and easily able to schedule my appointment online, the contractor was communicative and showed up within my chosen time frame, and he diagnosed & fixed the issue within 10 minutes, already having the necessary parts on hand. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. Technician Mike G. came to my house for a service with American home shield Ac repair. Extremely rude he didn’t explain to me why he was changing boxes and putting another part he had in his truck in a box. When I ask him if the part it was new, he reacted in a really bad way! And throw the box at me. At the end he left without checking if my AC was working. The unprofessional behavior is unacceptable. I had a service request from American Home Shield scheduled to perform maintenance on our drain that was recommended from a previous contractor to have it drained.The rep from this company called and asked me what the purpose of the service was and I explained to him what it was for. He tells me this is something I can do, but if he needs me to do it, they can.He then asked me if I had any bleach or Drain-O for him to use. I told him no and he said he would need to stop by his shop to pickup an H-VAC Cleaner.He did everything he could to get out of it. Service was part of a home warranty/home insurance related issue. I submitted a home warranty claim for a plumbing leak. The plumber from ASAP Plumbing evaluated the leak, he stated that the leak was from the AC, but miraculously found additional leaks outside the foundation that was not covered by the home warranty, because they were outside the foundation of the house. Which of course, I had to pay out of pocket, on a fixed income. Of course, on a $800 bill, they did knock off $50, which is less than the 10% many companies offer as a military veteran/retiree/disabled veteran.So the work was transferred to A-US Air Conditioning. After the technician (Mario R) evaluated my system, he stated that he did not find any leaks, but that he recommended that I use my Wet VAC to remove debris from my lines. He also recommended that I allow my AC to run for 24 hour and if I did or did not see any leaks to take a video and send it to him. I allowed it to run for the recommended period and there were no leaks. I texted him and sent the video, well over a week ago and he never responded. I also called him and again, no response.So, I called the company and requested a updated receipt reflecting what Mario Rodriguez stated he found. Once I received the receipt Mario or a person at the company had not listed the cause of the alleged leak as the clogged drain line. Which, of course is not what Mario stated and as even while to debris he saw in the drain lines were present, there were no leaks occurring while the AC was running in the presence of the technician (Mario) onscene. Unfortunately, the company recommended that I shut off the AC at the time the appointment was scheduled, to prevent further damage and I complied. Had I not listed and left the AC running and simply monitored it, I would have a record to show that the AC was not the cause of the leak.These two companies are simply out to satisfy the home warranty companies and could care less about professional work and integrity. I say the company because, whatever the technician does reflects highly on the company itself.

We used A-US air conditioning through our home warranty for a tune-up. They called to schedule less than an hour after we requested service through our home warranty. Customer service was professional, polite, and competent. We got a confirmation message the day of, as well as a text when the technician was on his way. The technician was polite, competent, and took the time to explain how to maintain our AC unit for better efficiency. Within 20 minutes our AC unit was running smoother. Couldnt ask for better service and highly recommend!

Stray FAR FAR away from this company! I had a service request for repair of my AC [1st time using American Home Shield) on July 14th. They came and added freon. Two weeks later, my AC wasnt cooling again. I called A US and on both scheduled appointments - they said they were here, but no one showed up! Twice this week! I thought it was the strangest thing for the first one - I called to confirm they had the correct address and phone number to reach me, and everything was right. Today, I got a text that a technician was on their way, and no one showed up! Of course, its Saturday so their offices are closed, so I called American Home Shield, and they said its showing that theyre currently in your home servicing your AC!!!!!! This place IS BEYOND DECEITFUL! I cant comprehend a business like this exists and tries to offer AC service to fellow Texans during the summer heat of over 100 degrees! I will be reporting them to BBB.

My A/C was not cooling properly. So I called AHS, paid the $125 service call, and they sent the work order to this company. I was skeptic when I saw the reviews about this company, but I didnt have a choice. Well they came on time, and answer all my questions. I told them that must be a leak somewhere that is making losing freon. They spent like 3 minutes checking and told me that the a/c need less of a pound of freon, and if there is any leak they wont fixed because they only look or fix leaks if is more than two pounds of freon are need. It sounds kind of BS, so they add less of a pound of freon, two weeks later same problem. I called AHS and I cancelled my contract right away. If you have AHS and a/c problems, good luck. I think the good reviews must be from the same employees and friends.

Let me know what the problem was and how to prevent and fix it myself in the future. This is great because we were without air conditioning for almost 48hrs due to scheduling. I had the most horrible experience with this company. They were contracted through my warranty company. They replaced the compressor, but when the unit still did not work they did not try to diagnose why. Instead they said it was an electrical problem, and left with no further attempt to ensure it was not something that fell under their purview. I had an electrician come out, and was told there was nothing wrong with the electrical and I needed an HVAC technician to fix it. After several attempts to call the company (its difficult to get anyone to answer) I was given a call back to say they could send someone several days from that day. They said they were not able to budge on the day, even though I tried to explain their technicians error (or desire to wrap up at the end of the day and go home) led me to continue to have no ac in 100 degree heat. My warranty company, after about half an hour on hold, was able to get them to agree to come out the same day. The company did come that day, but spent no more than 15 minutes at my house, and left without letting us what was wrong or what they did, or even that they were done and leaving. Needless to say this company is now banned from my house.

Terrible Service! I was referred to this company by my home warranty program. My a/c has gone out 4 times in the two months since I purchased my home. This last time, rather than using the correct connector needed to connect the aluminum and copper wire, they just did a patch job so of course it broke again 4 days later. When I called to have them come back out, they refused to put me on the emergency list (even though an a/c outage is listed on their website as a qualifying emergency) and blamed the home warranty company for not being able to get emergency service and said I should contact them. I dont understand why their workmanship oversights should be dealt with by a home warranty company (especially since A US Air guarantees their own work) but here I am, with a 5 month old in the summer Texas heat hoping I can get a call back. Their manager Katie Hudson was incredibly rude and presented herself to have no more authority than the janitorial staff. Whats the point of having a manager, if she cant put in an emergency work order and additionally, blames the home warranty company that feeds them. Just a tip Miss Hudson: no one wants to hear a manager pass the buck and say she wont help you. She didnt even offer her apologies for the inconvenience.....

My AC went out yesterday and Since I have a home warranty, I called AHS and they did the scheduling. I read the read the reviews and was a little nervous but I went ahead with the service call anyways. First thing this morning they asked if a technician could come out today. I said yes. Technician came out and I told him what was going on. I showed him which AC I was having. He did his diagnosis and determined the capacitor was bad. He changed it out and AC started to work. He went a head and checked other things. House is cool again and didn’t have any issues.

San Antonio location. Horrible service. Installed a failed heat pump under home warranty. Installed new compressor seemingly OK, but charged the system with too much freon. System rapidly cycled on-and-off potentially damaging the new compressor. Home warranty company recalled them to fix, but this time they took too much freon out. System stopped altogether. Second rework call put in on a Friday, but they said no techs available until Monday because doing other reworks. I told the rep that didnt sound good at all. They forced my family to suffer 97 - 100 degree weather over an entire weekend. Very unsatisfactory. Avoid this company at all costs.

I was assigned this company as part of my home warranty. My furnace had a failure and was too old of a unit to repair as parts weren’t available. I accepted a replacement unit and covered any necessary costs as well. The inspection has failed twice, multiple follow up visits have resulted in a tech arriving only to review the unit stating he doesn’t have the proper equipment to perform work and leaving. In the end, i chose to pay another company out of pocket to replace my AC and this poor performing furnace. I hope to never have to deal with company ever again and hope anyone that does has a much better experience than I’ve had.

This company was contracted with my home warranty. I submitted a claim last night and they were able to come out today (schedule visit through their website, not through calling). There was a wiring issue causing my unit to repeatedly trip the breaker and then eventually it wouldn’t reset at all. They fixed it quickly and gave everything else a once over. Everything looked good, no additional charges and we were both on our way. 👍🏻

EXTREMELY dissatisfied with your service and will be requesting that American Home Shield send out a locally-owned company to repair our a/c from now on. Weve had you guys out here about three different times over the last six months. The time before-last your guy told us the coils are on the verge of complete breakdown and that the unit really needed to be replaced. He fixed the intermittent problem, told us to call back if the unit didnt cool or keep up, and that he would escalate it to his supervisor and let him know the unit needed to be replaced. We placed another service call because the unit was struggling to cool our house. The technician that came out told us it was because (1) it is very hot outside, (2) our house is older and needs better insulation, and (3) that everyone is complaining about their a/c not keeping up right now. Last night the unit blew out our outside pull disconnect and tripped the breaker. I replaced the pull disconnect this morning and still nothing from the outside unit. I called your office and was told I could be put on a waiting list but probably wouldnt see someone until Monday or Tuesday. UNACCEPTABLE!!!! Especially after youve already been here multiple times. I am now having to pay a local company to come get us up and running and will be voicing my displeasure with AHS. POOR SERVICE!!!

This is the worst business I have ever dealt with. I have to reiterate with several others regarding service, knowledge and professionalism. I also was introduced to this company through my warranty company, I was told I needed a compressor and coolant, this worked was done and a couple months later when it became hot the air conditioner was not working, I contact the warranty company they sent tech out, he advised the compressor overheated and it should work property in a few hours. I call the company back a few hours later and when I advised that the air conditioner still not working I received an unprofessional comment by the customer service agent. I return call and was rescheduled for next appointment a Wk later. When the tech came back out he stated the problem was the thermostat and to call CPS energy. This was done, the guy was shaking his head in dismay how the S US Air tech told me it was the thermostat. After CPS left I contacted US Air and told them I was scheduled another appointment for the next week. On that scheduled day, I waited and waited I then called the company on that day because my appointment was after 11am, called @ 1400 left a message and at 1540 received a call starting I missed my 1200 hr appointment, “WHAT” I was home, as many appointments I have had with this company, never once did anyone schedule me for an exact appointment, It’s either between times and a 30 min call prior. Needless, to say the company wanted to reschedule me for another appointment weeks out. PLEASE BEWARE of A US Air Condition.Moreover, I was going to give them two stars but they’re so bad, I can’t find it in my heart to so, good luck on finding a good air conditioning company.

Im surprised at some of the low reviews. This is the first contractor American Home Shield has sent to my home where the employees were not unprofessional, sarcastic, grumpy, or scary. The A-US Air employees were great. They were knowledgeable, timely, and polite. I have two units and they both went out within days of each other. The old one cools the bulk of the house, and the newer one cools the area where my 76 year old mother stays and she has a terrible time with heat. A-US Air contacted me immediately after reporting the outages to American Home Shield, gave me a window of time, and if they were running late, they would call to let me know. The newer unit was fixed the next day, but the super old unit did take some time for them to discover the issue. However, during that process, the A-US Air employees took the time to explain what they were doing and why. Great group of people!

I was blown away with the service provide by A-US Air Condition of Texas. Its hard being without AC in Texas but they were as helpful as can be. I called them Friday night and left a voicemail and at 8am the next morning they returned it. They were able to get us a tech out by 1pm. I think the name of the tech was Jason. Anyway he called when we were placed on his schedule to let us know how far out he was and then we got a text saying he was on his way and would be there soon. When he arrived he was really nice and professional and not only did he fix the problem, but he gave my husband and I some advice on how to care for the AC and furnace. Overall I was taken aback by every aspect of their service, and while I hope I wont need their services anytime soon I am glad I know about them.

I have to modify my review. It was initially a 5 star review after the first visit, but its been a nightmare since.I used this company because of American Home Shield. I called because my AC wasnt working properly and the tech came out and said it wasnt the AC, it was the thermostat. I had to call back several times because the thermostat wasnt working properly and I finally thought the situation was resolved...until I had to use my heater a month later and went to work coming back to a sweltering 90 degree house. I could turn the heater on but it would never turn off, even when target temperature was reached.Another service call later, the heater would turn off but the fan would run 24/7. Then they got the fan to work properly.I think the situation is fixed until I put my house up for sale and the buyers inspector finds several things wrong with the AC to include the fact the unit wasnt sealed up properly (missing screws sitting on top of unit) and the insulation was missing.I call and AC company to come out and they find the insulation thrown behind the unit in the attic and was able to screw it back together sealing it properly. I asked if this would cause my electricity bill to be sky high and they said Yes, its working twice as hard as it needs to because its pulling in all this air that its not supposed to. The last company who worked on this unit did a horrible job.That company? A-US Air.Stay away.

I am currently dealing with this company because of the home owner insurance that the landlord is using. First they lied and said they came on the scheduled date we had, they did not. After that my AC went completely out. I tried to get ahold of the after hours number no response. Now they are the scheduled vendor to fix my ac and they can’t even give me a schedule time of when they are coming. Chuck, the man who I spoke to on the phone, just tells me some time in the morning. I was assigned A US Air by American Homesheild for repair of my HVAC system which was not cooling adequately. Their technician said that my evaporator core was defective and needed to be replaced. The tech opened the ductwork in my attic to check the coil and did not reseal the system allowing cool air to blow in to the attic. The tech also left the condensation drain disconnected and water was dripping on my sheetrock ceiling which I discovered later. The main office told me that I would have to pay $1845.00 for items not covered under the home warranty. I called a Trane authorized service company and they discovered that the system had 2 compressors, one of which would not come on. The Trane tech found a programming error in the thermostat and made an adjustment and the system works great now at a cost of about $200. If you have a complex HVAC system like mine, dont let A US Air touch it. Their techs dont know what they are doing.

Worst service ever. Technician came and said I needed coolant, charged me $260 then told me I needed the coil cleaned, but he didnt have time. He said he could come back in 4 days!!! I live in Texas and have a small child. It is August. 4 days with no AC is not going to cut it. Not to mention I already paid $75 service fee and $260 for coolant. When I called to schedule and appointment with the company to clean the coil they told me the technician reported that a dog attacked him at my property, which was a bold faced lie! Worst customer service I have ever experienced. They will attempt to take the money you pay from Home Warranty and never actually schedule the appointment to fix the issue the discovered. After calling and leaving voicemails with several people, I received a call back to schedule the appointment. The installation guys were at my house for almost 2 hours when they realized they brought the wrong equipment. The installation manager, Kenny, was VERY RUDE, has no concern for your time, or the time you are having to take off work. I hope to have my heater fixed at some point, but so far it has been two weeks since we scheduled them to come out the first time.

Had work on replacing a coil in my unit and moving it a year ago with this company. Paid over a grand to get it done. Later, my entire attic is now cool but the rest of the house is hot. Home warranty sends different company and they point out the faulty install of the coil and the unit wasnt connected to the ductwork properly.AC goes down again. Waiting on home warranty to send out A-US but unable to get to us for 6 days. We get a second opinion before they come out from another company and confirm faulty installation and a bad motor. A-US finally comes out 3 1/2 hours late. A-US tech claims AC unit is working and tries to leave. Stop the tech to point out that they should wait explaining the motor might be faulty. He starts talking about how the compressor could be faulty and how freon is expensive. He checks again. He says that he would add some freon to the unit but hes out and hell be right back. Then like Houdini, he disappears. The tech and the company arent answering any calls. Now Im stuck with no paperwork and cant even get a buyout option with the warranty company.We get another company to verify. Compressor is fine. Motor is corroded. Faulty install work.Home warranty sent a different company that replaced the motor and got me going.I understand that its a different animal with AC companies working with home warranty, but this company not only added a week and a half to getting my unit fixed, but money pissed away from their previous work.

Once I was able to get an emergent service request put in, A US air conditioning responded within 45 minutes and were out to fix our air. The serviceman was very prompt and took care of our problem within 30 minutes. He proceeded to do a service check of our system and let us know our home would be cool by the evening. American Home Shield sent A-US Air to my home to check my AC unit and find out why it wasn’t cooling. They stated I needed a new coil and a list of other things done. My portion of the cost came out to just over $1k and they completed the job a few months later when I could afford it. Less than 30 days later, the AC wouldn’t start. A-US Air came out and replaced a part. Less than 30 days later it wouldn’t start again. American Home Shield sent out a different contractor who stated the coil installation was not done properly and that a piece of insulation was either removed and not replaced or just overlooked and never installed. This is causing condensation and is leaking onto the decking and will eventually rot out the wood and come through my ceiling. I called A-US Air and they won’t come out and look at what’s needed without American Home Shield’s direction. I don’t understand how they won’t make it right when this should have been fixed the first time they came to my home. I’m so disappointed with this company. I wish they would just make it right.

Based on other reviews, youre probably coming across this after being told by American Home Shield that this company would be out to fix your air conditioner. Thats when I first saw the reviews, and I was definitely worried. Relax - my experience with them was great. Minutes after submitting my request to AHS the A-US automated system contacted me and told me to go online to schedule service. I was able to schedule for the next day, and got a call during my requested time slot saying that a technician would be there shortly. The technician arrived about 10 minutes later and was extremely helpful and thorough investigating the issue we had. We had no problems, and I was extremely happy with their service. Hopefully this review helps you feel better if youre getting worried about all the other poor ones.

As an insurance adjuster I have found that I need to set aside at least 1 hour to attempt to contact this company during business hours.I have left voice mail messages in the interest of helping the insured that we represent. I have left this comment after waiting a week with NO RESPONSE.I would not have to leave this comment of the review, had the work they were called out to do was done correctly. The AC unit caused more water damage after A - US Air worked on the Insureds unit. Due to the improper repair of the AC unit, the water leak has caused enough damages that we will have to remove and replace the insureds hardwood floors.

I had to call them out like 5 times because my compressor was going out and they kept telling me nothing was wrong and then on the 4th time after he left saying nothing was wrong my compressor went out and I was displaced with no air for 1 week. Now, two months later when trying to turn on the heater, the compressor is hooked up with the heater and is not heating at all and they are charging me for a service call AGAIN. I had a 60 day warranty and barely missed it by two weeks and they won’t honor it. They messed it up. The heat was working fine in January and February until they came out. They are hustling and swindlers.

We were assigned A-US through our home warranty company, AHS. I was a little concerned by the reviews but was pleasantly surprised how professional and knowledgeable our service tech, Will, turned out to be. He called the night before to schedule our appointment and kept me informed the next day leading up to the appointment time. He explained the problem with our AC and had it fixed within 30 minutes. We had the same issue about 8 months ago and the last tech/company that AHS sent out did not completely solve the problem. I feel confident Will has taken care of the issue completely. He looked into it more throughly than the last guys did. He explained what to look for in the future and tips to keep the issue from reoccurring. If we have any other problems, we plan to request Will again.

8/6 (Day 1) - Good start. Sent claim ticket to home warranty eve of 8/5. Received call just after 8 am saying Ill be getting a call sometime today from a tech, giving advance notice of arrival. No timeframe given. Wouldve been nice to know morning or afternoon. 4 stars so far.Update: Received call from Will, service tech at 11 AM. Said he was ten minutes out. Agreed to meet him. He was there on time, I described symptoms, he went out to the compressor and determined it was a faulty capacitor in the compressor unit. Replaced and was done within 20 minutes of arrival. Cool air again! Only cost me the call fee from home warranty company. Prompt service, issue solved within 24 hours. Have to give the full 5 stars here. Ill update if anything else arises.

No one called or came that day. I received a call on the morning of 8/3 and was told that they could setup another appointment for me on Thurs 8/5 and that it was their earliest availability. A US Air Conditioning took 6 days to repair my HVAC system. The initial tech that dispatched said the blower motor and wheel were bad and they needed to order the parts and would be back in 2 days to install it. The contactor was also replaced during the initial dispatch. He came back on Monday and made a repair but this didnt fix the issue. I was told the replacement motor may be bad and he swapped another in. This didnt solve the problem either. Next I was told that my compressor, bypass flow value and service ports have failed and was charged 505 dollars to repair the equipment. After the install techs came out on the 6th day to install the new equipment, the system was still not working. They had to send a tech back out again to troubleshoot the installation. I was told the installers do not know how to troubleshoot what they are installing?!? They found the contactor to be bad which was what they initially replaced. A bad contactor would cause all the rest of my issues to occur. I feel like I spent several hundred dollars on a part that costs 5-10 dollars. When I called the company to find out when my tech was going to come out to fix the poor installation work, I was told the tech had already left my house without calling me. Keep in mind, Im the landlord in this situation and was not communicated to by company. They only called to tell me they would be at my house and after the 4th time, they stopped even calling me to tell me when they were dispatching. I called the company to check on the tech dispatch and I was told that it didn’t occur until I spoke to a manager who told me that the dispatch is complete and my system is working. I was told the contactor (which they already replaced was bad) and also the disconnect was switched off. He proceeded to raise his voice at me when I asked questions about the repair and questioning the business practices. He ended up hanging up on me but before he did he said “Go suck a d*ck”. I called back to speak to the owner and was told that I was speaking with Karl. Karl proceeded to tell me that his manager would not be reprimanded for speaking to a customer this way. I told him he will be losing my account and he told me that it wasn’t a big deal as they already serviced thousands of customers. I use American Home Shield and have told them to remove A-US Air Conditioning from the list of contractors that can come to my house. I feel I wasn’t speaking to Karl as any business owner would not speak to a customer this way. I should have read the reviews online before allowing this company to do any work for me as they are all very poor. I would recommend that you stay away from this company before this happens to you as well.

Do not use this company. They tell you incorrect information about how to care for your AC unit and claim that if you dont follow their guidelines they dont cover the repairs. The information they tell you about covering your unit with an umbrella goes against professional guidance I find when searching online. When the heat gets blown out, it dissipates into the atmosphere. You don’t want the heat to go up, hit the umbrella and blow back. That could be dangerous. I’d never put anything on top of it, which will trap the hot air and run the pressure up, causing compression failure.“It’s like going down the interstate and putting cardboard over part of your car. It has to pull the air across and pull out, and you don’t want to recirculate the hot air.“I’d caution against the umbrella.”

This company is the WORST! WASTE OF YOUR MONEY...RUN THE OTHER DIRECTION. We were forced to use them due to our home warranty company American Home Shield which is sub par in my opinion. (We have made 3 claims with AHS and have been sent lazy contractors who never finish the job each time). A-US Air was sent out to fix our system 3 weeks ago. They stated they needed to order a part for our system but never followed up with us. I had to call corporate offices 8 times with multiple voice mails left before I could get ahold of someone. Then they gave me the WRONG local number for scheduling. I finally got ahold of someone in San Antonio and they claimed they had to check on the status of the part. This memo was repeated to me for 8 days straight! Completely unbelievable. They finally called today to say they didnt know when the part was coming. I fired them on the spot. Never ever work with this company if you want your problems resolved.

I have now been without AC for 9 days with 3 different service techs. First Johnny came out at our request because the AC took a very long time to get cold. He came out took 5 hours and left us without our air conditioning on a Wednesday and said he would be back. He came back the next day took another 4-5 hours and couldnt fix it. He says he will bring a tech lead name Damian. The next day he comes back without Damian and took another 3-4 hours and said he will call the lead tech and gave up. Johnny was nice but ruined our air conditioner. Then Jose shows up on a Saturday and spends about 3 hours diagnosing. He finds out that Johnny over pressurized the system to 279 pounds and that Johnny out heating thermostat on my system and not a air conditioning thermostat. He claims that what he did will resolve the issue and just give the AC 4-6 hours to recharge by leaving it running. I waited and cold air never came. Then they send out Jesse that didnt show up to our house on Monday until 8:00pm. He diagnosed everything and said the problem was our expansion valve. He was able to get the air running cold for about 6 hours so yet again were were without AC for a total of 5-6 days. Also my AC is in pieces and not put back together properly. He said he needs to order the part and would come back out in the next day or so. He called me back and said he wont be out because the part doesnt come in until Wednesday. He calls me Wednesday morning says he will be there after 3:00pm and nobody shows up nobody calls. I call the next morning and he says he had a flat that night and that he would be there between 12-1:00. Again nobody shows up and nobody calls. I have left 3-4 voicemails with there company today and nobody returned the phone call. My family has now been without AC in Texas heat when for 9 days and going to have to get a hotel tonight. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Our system worked from the get go and probably just needed a slight maintenance on the expansion valve.Sent from my iPhone

My home warranty on my rental property sent this company out. I read the reviews and new it wouldnt be good. He agreed to 1000 to do the repair but didnt show. He eventually called and said he never gave them a day or time, yet 2 other people heard.He replaced the part and the NEXT DAY, the NEXT DAY the same problem occured.I would rather pay money to a reputable company than use this company who has such a poor reputation with a recurring theme.I wont be using AHS anymore either.

The technician came out and was very courteous and friendly. He explained the problem and even explained helpful tips to maintain our air conditioner system better. However, when he left and I turned my air conditioner back on, it was making a funny noise that it was not making before. Found it very difficult to get a hold of the company and the technician to resolve this problem. I was able to get a hold of the technician once, and he told me to pour water in the line which did not solve the problem, and he didn’t answer the phone after that or return my call. Now my air conditioner runs like it did before, but now it’s making a noise that it has never made before and I can’t get any resolution to it.

They dont answer their phones, the number listed for the San Antonio office is out of service. Ive called the 877 and 972 numbers twice and was on hold so long they prompted me to leave a message. Ive left one message and my home warranty company left one. No return call. Its been three days since they received my call from the home warranty company.

Terrible experience - a routine check up ended with the inexperienced technician breaking the hvac system and not only would the company not return any calls, I found out their emergency number is the exact same as the regular number, that they have no accountability - I was told I was making this up and they didnt break anything, though my system was working just fine before the fall check up appointment and after, nothing was working and it is still 90 degrees here. Not only did no one apologize or offer to send someone out to fix what they had done, but they hung up on me, wasted nearly an entire workday of my time, NEVER asked to hear what happened or what went wrong. It was like dealing with high schoolers playing business. By the 7th or 8th phone call they reluctantly offered to send someone back out to have a look but by that time I had decided no one from this company will ever enter my home again. Unbelievable, from the csrs to the tech to the management. Do not use this company. They hire people with no knowledge or experience and then hide behind their csrs. And the fact that their tech broke the unit invalidates our coverage through American Home Shield, and they know this because they area provider for AHS.

Seriously HORRIBLE!!!!They do NOT return calls. We needed to use them with the home warranty program.1st time it took 5days of several calls every day to just get an appointment. We had a newborn and they gave zero priority in 100degree weather. When we finally got an appointment they were a no show! When we called there was a note from the service rep that stated we wanted to reschedule. That never happened. They came out two days after that and the AC broke again in a few weeks.2nd time...still waiting for a call back and its been THREE DAYS. They literally said we dont have emergency service now when we called the 24hr emergency line. The lady that answers he emergency line just keeps telling us to leave a message on the regular line. How many messages does a customer have to leave over how many days to get service?!

Worse response time and customer service. We made an appointment May 1, 2019. They were to arrive later that day at our residence. No-one showed up. The appointment time kept getting rescheduled for three days. Finally, a tech showed up Saturday the 4th. He was at our residence all of 5 minutes. He advised us he was only there for a diagnostic testing. We had to contact American Home Shield to schedule a time to get it fixed. He said it was the coil. I requested the capacitor to be checked because he did not check it. He just said it was a coil issue and can I sign off that he was there. I told him NO!. I will not sign any thing since he did not do anything but walk around.

Completely rude and unprofessional. They lie and say they came out when they didn’t. They have been out twice to fix our a/c problem and it’s still not fixed. We were given a cell number to call or text directly if it was to mess up again. Low and behold, it’s messed up again. So I call the number and no one answers. Later I get a text from same number of three questions marks. Took me a while to figure out who was even texting. Then told to call the office during business hours. They were rude and unprofessional. Apparently they have no clue what they are doing. I called a different company to come out to see what was wrong, and they say it’s the expansion valve, but the landlord says we have to stick with this incompetent company due to the home warranty they are using. This business is garbage and I’m close to just paying another company on my own out of pocket just so I don’t have to mess with these people again. These people are a joke. I guess next step is leaving a review and complaint with the BBB and then see where we can go from there. Stay far away from this company!

Each time I thought, they couldn’t possibly cancel again. They did. I was wrong and now AC is now completely out. Calling American Home Shield to see what my next step will be.

I scheduled a repair through American Home Shield. I called the phone number and was referred by message to their website to make the appointment. I was not able to reach anyone by phone but received a text and an email with the date and time frame for service. My service time was 8-12pm and I was called 30 minutes prior that the technician Daniel diagnosed the issue (fan motor replacement). He left to get the part from their office and was back in1 hour. He installed the part and got the A.C. back working and we have not had any issues. GREAT Service. By the technician. I was very worried about not being able to speak to someone in their office prior to the appointment, but if you can use the online scheduler on their website that shouldnt be an issue.

I filed a BBB complaint, and denied this companys response, due to their workmanship and destroying of my property. They came out no less than 12 times over six weeks and I had to call again today for the same issue. They installed a smaller furnace than what we had and it does not cool the house without staying on 24 hour a day.Furthermore, their installers destroyed my evaporator coil and caused it to leak freon in my bedroom downstairs ruining five sheets of sheetrock, my king-sized mattress and carpeting. They blamed me for the leak which we have NEVER had until they installed this unit. Both their technicians and us took pictures of the leaks. They refuse to replace anything. They even called a plumber saying it was my plumbing before I filed the BBB complaint. These guys dont have a clue what they are doing!If they refuse to take care of these issues I will contact a local tv station and see if we can get the issue aired on television. If this doesnt work then I will have to file against them in small claims court.

My homeowners insurance, American Home Shield, is very great at one thing - finding companies like A-US Air Conditioning. Im a landlord in College Station TX and AHS contracted out A-US from San Antonio for whatever reason. It is going on Day #10 now and I still dont have a working AC. A technician has come out 3 different times and once they determined that it needed to be replaced, they didnt inform AHS until 3 days later and the technician was unreachable for those 3 days. I spoke with 2 supervisors of A-US. The first supervisor apologized and informed me that it would be taken care of in the next 24 hours. Following, I received a call from a different supervisor and was informed that they would come replace the unit on Monday, which is 4 days from now.. not 24 hours. So, Ill have been without an AC for 2 weeks.You have to be out of your mind to willfully use A-US to repair your AC.I called the Texas Attorney Generals office to file a complaint and informed them that my AC was taking a ridiculously long time to repair, and the first thing they said was, Do you have AHS homeowners insurance?. Apparently their terrible work ethics are frequently reported. Well see what this complaint does, maybe Ill actually have an AC!

This company A-US Air Conditioning of Texas - Dallas/Ft. Worth HVAC has extremely poor customer service. I booked their service 4 days in advance made a reservation for Friday between 1-5, which is the time slot they had on their website. No one showed no one called. I called at 5 pm they told me it would be two more hours. I had already rearrange my work to be home from 1-5. They stated other jobs took longer so I understand. But since they missed the reservation time and I was unable to spend 2 more hours waiting the right thing to do was move my service to Saturday. Chris stated there were other reservations. And he could fit me in on Tuesday. Very unhappy with their service. Buyer beware this is not a company to work with. Stay away from this company!!!!!

Do not use this company, they are not reliable and failed to do a proper inspection of my air unit. The told AHS that nothing was wrong when in fact there was an issue and the technician failed to identify it. I had to pay for an HVAC inspection out of pocket and pressure AHS to send another vendor out for a second opinion.In addition, they failed to ever provide a comprehensive report of the supposed inspection they completed and no one had answers when I called their office.

It would be a zero if I could. They were assigned originally by American Home Shield and had been taking very good care of me when Refugio was coming out, but suddenly he would not return my calls or texts. He had been out a few times, and was supposed to order a part that was estimated to arrive in 7 days. 12 days later, no calls returned. So, I called AHS again to send them out for a recheck instead of calling Ref directly as Id been told to do.My AC kept flipping the breaker inside of the attic, and every few minutes, Id have to go upstairs, get into the attic and flip the breaker. I was then severely injured and on crutches and could no longer get up to the attic to flip it so was by myself, disabled and in the heat for more than 6 days before they sent out another tech, and that was only because I had called AHS and asked for a recheck after waiting 12 days for Refugio to come back.They sent Mike come out for a re-check. Mike looked at the leak in the copper tubing, and I heard him telling his boss on the phone that it was normal wear and tear. He told me he was running out to get some tubing to fix it and would be right back. About an hour later I get a call from Mike that it would be hours before he could get back. I would swear he had a laugh in his voice! He never showed. I got a call from AHS the next day, and they denied my claim because Mike or somebody in the company told them the PINHOLES in the !!!!UNDERSIDE OF THE COPPER TUBING!!!!! had been caused by RODENTS. Seriously? I realized then that they had lied because they didnt want to work on my system and fix it properly. I asked AHS for a second opinion, and they sent Texaire, who confirmed that yes, A-US Air had, indeed lied because they didnt want to come back and fix it properly, and no, it was not rodents chewing on the bottom of the pipe that had caused the leak (those would have been some pretty interesting rodents, with hypodermic needle teeth, hanging upside down drilling into the pipe)!!!!I cant be the only one in San Antonio with a house built in the 70s, but the way I was treated by this company was simply unconscionable. Being given the runaround and then having them lie to the warranty company when I couldnt even hobble up the stairs to reset the breaker was the lowest of the low. I wish the owner of this company the same karma that he puts out to the world.

I have been constantly frustrated when dealing with this company through American Home Shield. I have had this companys technicians out 4-5 times in the last 5-6 weeks without significant progress to ultimately fix the issue. Basically started replacing parts since I dont think the tech had much of another better idea. He would not listen to the concerns I or my wife would raise and refused to look at the blower and valves in the attic which run our multi-zone system, which is where I suspect the underlying issue is located since there is minimal to almost no air flow from the vents in the second zone. Plus side, we essentially have a new AC system for about $350, but Im not sure the stress and frustrations were worth it... Im still trying to decide if I should even bother with AHS or just call another company on my own dime since the original issue still remains.

If I could give 0 stars I would. They have the worst customer service ever. They came out to fix our AC that was leaking and left saying it was fixed. I had to call my insurance again to have them come back and fix it a s cI nd time. Their technician never showed up and I called him with no return call. I contacted their office and left multiple voicemails to Maritza. Whom is a terrible individual. She finally returned my phone call five days later at which point no one had came back out to look at our AC. I requested to speak to a manager who is conveniently out. I 100% do not recommend this company. Please if you have a choice do not use them!

I recently moved into a new condo, unfortunately the AC unit in the Condo is extremely old and died the very day I moved in. I initially called John Wayne air. They tried to fix it was so old that the unit needed to be replaced. I wanted to get one from John Wayne but after seeing what the cost of a new unit was, I decided to use my American Home Shield warranty. AHS forced me to use A-US Air.Even though I had the paperwork showing that the unit needed to be replaced, A-US Air insisted on sending out a Junior tech who tried to repair the unit. He ended up jury-rigging the AC unit so it ran continuously and managed to rack up $20 in electricity use in a single night. The next day he tried to install a new Relay switch (which John Wayne Air had already said the unit was too-old to accept) and ended up breaking the inside unit completely. Then they sent out a senior tech just to prove to the bean counters that the AC unit was in fact completely dead. The senior tech kept me waiting at home all day from 9am until he finally decided to show up at 5:30 pm. It was while repeatedly calling the Customer Service line that I discovered A-US Airs standard procedure for handling customer complaints.1. Feign ignorance2. Rudely state a new promise while implying that whoever I spoke to previously is stupid I dont know who told you X but..3. Lie to the customer to make them shut up and go away.Of course, by this point it was friday and we had to wait until Monday when I was assured that I would get a new unit. I get up on Monday and prepare to wait at home in a sweltering condo with no AC and 105 degree weather. Well I just got a call. SUDDENLY the appointment is Tomorrow, on Tuesday and I am going to have to pay $1290 for the privilege. Gee, I thought my home warranty company would cover that. Nope. I pointed this out and was promised an appointment today (Monday) but as of this review, I have zero confidence that the workers will show up.My whole experience with this company has been horrid. The only reason this incompetent excuse for an AC company is in business is because American Home Shield FORCES their customers to use this company. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.IF they do manage to deliver on the promised appointment today, that will get them 2/5. Otherwise, Im giving them one star simply because its not possible to give them zero.UPDATE: Well they did manage to fix the AC. However, Im still not giving them a 2/5. They almost didnt do any work at all due to the way my Waterheater is arranged in the closet with the AC unit. It took a lot of cajoling before they were willing to fix it and not force me to pay out of pocket to have my water heater and junction box re-arranged.

These people are con-men. They charged my wife for permit fees that were not required for a repair. When i checked with our development services department they never even pulled a permit. They did not repair the AC correctly and theyve dodged over 10 of our phone calls. They then reported to American Home shield, our home warrenty company who reffered them to our claim that we had not paid them and would not return.My advice, always check with your citys Developement Services Department to see if the work requires permits, if it does, follow up to make sure the contractor pulled them. If not, in san antonio at least, they can be sanctioned for performing work without a permit or for fraud. Which is what i will be doing. If you can record your phone calls with them.

They are unprofessional. The technician did a wrong diagnose and said we needed a new compressor. I asked 2 other ac company for a 2nd opinion. They both said it was the motor fan or whatevs. So did yall just do that so yall can make the most money and RIP people off? The warranty would only cover ex amount of money and they wanted me to come out of pocket 500 something. I tried to contact them within the 7days to fix the issue. Called them 3 to 4 times and left 3 voicemails. No one got backed to me. So they let the 7days pass and took my service fee and did not fix anything! Technician put in a work order for something I didnt need fix! 2nd he did not leave an invoice, receipts or work order. BEWARE!!!! DID YOU THINK YOU COULD GET OVER ON ME BECAUSE I WAS A WOMAN?!

As I read these reviews, I cant help but think, hey, at least they showed up for your appointments. I mean, I set an appointment on Thursday for Monday between 1-3. I get a call about 1:20 pm saying the technician had truck problems and hell be here between 3-4. Not a problem at all, I tell them. Around 4:25, I call and leave a message saying I havent heard from the technician and wonder what time hell be here. About 5:25 pm, I get a call back saying the technician is in my area and Im next. Well, its 7:28 pm right now (2 hours later) and no one has showed up or called. This company is clearly completely incompetent or they lie. We had a GREAT experience with A-US Air of Texas. Our call to schedule service came promptly. The technician arrrived exactly as expected. His name was Jeffrey and he was courteous, skilled and professional. He had to order a new motor and it arrived the NEXT day. Without delay Jeffrey called us and came the same day the motor arrived and installed it that Saturday morning. I’d give this company and Jeffrey in particular TEN stars if I could... because when your AC goes out during some of the hotttest days of a south Texas summer, service like this is a HUGE blessing!

Forced to use this poorly rated company due to AHS. Earliest appointment was 4 days out and they were unable to give me a time frame. At 5pm the day before the scheduled service I had still not received a time frame. I called customer service and was told this was not a doctors office and I would receive a call eventually. The customer service representative spoke over me and was extremely rude throughout the call. I canceled the appointment. I would rather pay more for good customer service.

Our experience with A-US has been exceptionally poor (and, from what I am reading here, not at all uncommon). They were chosen for us by our home warranty. They took a full day and a half to come fix our A/C (bear in mind, it is 87 degrees in our house). The guy got the fan blowing and assured us that the house would cool down over the course of the day. It never did, and now A-US is refusing our phone calls. We paid $60 for nothing and now were looking at a fourth night without A/C or paying someone else to do the service we already paid for. Needless to say, we would never ever use this company again if we had a choice, and will not be renewing our home warranty because of experiences like this.

Well so far so good, I just spent the last 3 days in 100+ degree temps with NO A/C. If took the tech forever to get here but once he got here it didnt take him long to see what was wrong( a messed up wire on the unit outside)and fix it. The only thing that initially worried me was the first thing out of his mouth was you ever think about replacing your unit and started telling me about the monthly payments. Other than that, Im beyond happy to have my AC working again. And thankfully it was something pretty simple as I was afraid since it was so late in the afternoon, that if he needed parts I might have been stuck another night praying I didnt get heat stroke.

They show up fix it and then low and behold two weeks or so later the air conditioner shyts the bed again. Its been about 5 days now that my air conditioner has been out. Mind you, my home is getting up above 90 degrees during the day and we have small children and a pet in the house. Its unacceptable. And Yesterday (Saturday) there was supposed to be a technician show up in the morning hours to fix it. Waited around all morning, no calls. Not being able to bare the heat any longer we left the house to get out of the heat. Upon returning home we find a work repair slip from a technician. They showed up some time in the afternoon and the idiots tried calling my work phone. They claim to have fixed it but low and behold im sitting here in an 87 degree house at 1030 at night.If you ask me, sounds like the owner of A-US is paying off AHS to retain the contract with them.

I was worried because of the reviews on Google. My experience however was of a positive one. I received calls from their Dallas office every day keeping me informed of progress and scheduling. Also text when technician was on his way along with a phone call. Technician was very knowledgeable and fixed my ductwork problem and also air conditioning put in a new fan motor. So my experience was positive from start to finish.

If I could put zero stars, I absolutely would. I urge anyone looking at this to please not even consider using this company. They came out several times always saying something else needed to be fixed and replaced. Not only do they have the worst customer service I have ever experienced, but they also cost my wife and I a ton of extra money. We dont make a lot so this was devastating to us. We had a reputable company come look after they came several times and found they installed unnecessary parts, improper installation and coolant. I do not ever write reviews , but I sincerely dont want anyone to go through what I have. Please find another company and dont trust this one.

A-U.S. Air was assigned to my work order through my AHS warranty.LOVED them.Constant communication, were able to accommodate within 3 days of request, texted before arriving, arrived within specified window, asked me pertaining questions to system symptoms, and got straight to work and diagnosing. After checking unit outside, & verifying it w/ attic diagnosis, tech determined it was the evap coil, ordered, and gave me part turn around time.Very pleased so far....keep up the good work! 😉

Just like most of the individuals posting here, I am forced to use this group by AHS American Home Shield. This AC company is subpar at best. Missed their own appointment today and wanted to reschedule some time later in the week. No AC in our house for going on 3 days. I could have had this issue fixed by a professional company like Webb AC in Fort Worth. My suggestion to all of you with AHS Home Warrantys....burn the policy, cause it and the companys they use are total garbage. And A US Airconditioning and its employees are rude, inconsiderate, unprofessional and technical idiots.

So far, this company is not doing well for me. I understand that everyone has a different experience. My experience thus far, is a complete reflection of the other negative reviews. Like most, AHS sent these people out. I called last Friday, August 17, 2018. They were supposed to come out Saturday. Well due to a mistake by an AHS representative, they never received the request. Called AHS Monday, August 20, they explained the situation and put in another claim with A-US Air. Finally, a technician came out Monday afternoon. He diagnosed the problem as bad coils. I asked for something in writing, an estimate or something, they dont do that. Well, I called AHS on Tuesday, August 22, they had not received report from A-US Air. Called Wednesday, nothing. Called Thursday morning, they gave me a laundry list of items that needed to be repaired, along with the coils. The amount was astronomical! It came to me having to pay $1225 out of pocket. What the hell, does AHS cover? And the technician from A-US Air did not tell me that. I asked AHS if I could get of copy of the needed repairs. They told me they dont do that. Mind you, we just purchased said home, and have to move in starting Monday, August 27th. I have yet to hear from A-US Air this morning, Friday, August 24th. Truthfully, I dont want too. I feel I will have to give them a try. I think AHS is a freaking joke, and so is A-US Air. Why would AHS keep dealing with such companies? I know Im not the only one to voice my opinion about this company. I want a second opinion based upon all the negative reviews, and including my own. Looks like Im going to be without air anyway, so may as well pay for one myself!

My opinion and experience: A US Air came out on behalf of AHS (home warranty company). They attempted to upcharge me $1100 for items already present and properly installed. They also tried to quote fake “code upgrades” knowing that AHS won’t cover those and that they’d be billed to me out of pocket. They also try to force this by collaborating with AHS who won’t do the repair if you don’t agree to the “code upgrades”. These code upgrades were already installed; this was a totally fake upcharge.A-US Air never provided a detailed invoice of the repairs (except for the artificial upcharges). A review of Better Business Bureau reveals over 80 complaints, many for the same exact thing. It took me 3 months and demanding arbitration to force AHS to reimburse the cost of a legitimate contractor to do the work. That extra effort was all caused by A-US Air’s invoicing practice.I can’t recommend.

I had service today as AHS warranty. The repairman came and I questioned the bill and his comment to me was unacceptable. He said people like you that purchase these big two story homes and complain about how high the bill. This is NOT ACCEPTABLE. I work hard for what I have. I work in the service industry too and understand what it takes to pay the bills. I do not like being judged like that. It takes every dime I make to live and give my kids a descent life. If you want a true account of how this company does business, please take your time to read this.A work order was placed through AHS for my A/C having a problem. When a tech came out, we found that a structural obstruction was in place, preventing the fix. I left town the next day and when I arrived home 5 days later (Monday), the A/C was completely out. I called and got an appointment for the soonest appointment, Wednesday. The next morning (Tuesday) I fixed the problem, then called to see what time of day they would be here Wednesday. They said since the access issue was fixed, a technician would be out the same day. I waited at home all day until I got a call at 3pm that disconnected as soon as I answered. I called back and was put on hold until I could leave a voicemail. I waited until 4pm then called again to check in, because I knew they closed at 5. The employee I talked to at 4pm told me that her and her manager looked in the system and only saw an appointment for me for Thursday instead of that day (Tuesday) or even the next day (Wednesday). I tried to explain the story of everything that happened, but she said that the only time they showed that anybody touched my account was the previous week. I asked her to please have her manager call me so we could figure it out. I did not hear from him by 4:30pm so I tried calling again. I got put on hold then sent to voicemail. I chose to hang up, because again, they close at 5pm. So I called back and finally got someone on the phone. As I started trying to explain my situation, he stopped me and told me a story about how the tech was supposed to come out that day but he had a medical emergency and that he was a guy that works everyday. Essentially a sob story about how this guy works all the time and he had an emergency and that I should be understanding about it. I was understanding about it, but I tried to get him to understand that I have problems just like everybody else, and they are a business. A business is supposed to do what they say they are going to do and if they cant because of something unexpected, they should have gotten another tech or at least called and let me know. He proceeded to be rude and unhelpful and just talked in circles, saying the same stuff. Then told me that I was talking in circles and we werent getting anything accomplished. I told him I was just trying to get my situation handled by his business, but I couldnt get anybody to tell me some straight information. I even finally got to the point where I asked him to either get someone out to my house sooner than later or I would just call AHS and have them change the company. To which he replied, Yeah ok man, go ahead. I asked him why he was being so unhelpful and being rude and he just replied with more sarcasm and smug attitude. He finally pushed me to the point where I yelled at him in anger and told him to get someone who could actually help me on the phone and he very smugly replied, yeah ok man, Ill pass your information along to the manager and see if he wants to call you back, but just stop blowing up our phones. At that point he had pushed me so much, that I couldnt even speak to him anymore. I still have never gotten a call back from the manager. I have had a company mismanage some things in the past, and that is forgivable, as mistakes are only human. However, to completely mismanage a persons service order, then be actively unhelpful, smug, rude, and antagonistic is so unforgivable. I have never dealt with such a poor business and after looking them up, I can see where they do this sort of business with the majority of their customers that they deal with. It is actually unbelievable that this company is still even in business. I will note to that I have never even remotely felt the necessity to file a complaint on a company before, as I am a pretty patient person and easy to deal with. Do yourself a favor and run away from this company before you get yourself into a real poor situation.

Beware!! Shame on AHS for referring this company . SCAM ARTISTS... they misdiagnosed my repair issue charged me for Freon I didn’t need... left wires and chords exposed after the internal unit installation...called and called and callllled for weeks to get issues resolved with no luck. I GAVE UP....God help you if you have a repair issue. American Home Shield sent this company to service my AC. The first technician cleaned the coil and suggested I pay him under the table to cut a whole in the wall to blow out the drain. I didnt believe this was a good idea so I asked for another opinion. The next technician sent by AHS was also from this company and said the damage to my unit was caused by someone improperly cleaning the unit. I mentioned that the last technician had cleaned the unit and he immediately back pedeled saying improper cleaning wasnt the cause. The technician then proceded to lie on the paperwork and to AHS, claiming he never told me that which resulted in AHS not covering the damages. This is a company of crooks; do not use them and if you have AHS in the San Marcos area beware because AHS will try to send them almost every time which i can only assume is because they are the cheapest in the area due to the low quality of technicians.

Do not purchase anything from this company. The manager Rob Jackson if he even gave his real name is a flat out liar. I caught him in multiple lies when speaking with him, he definitely cant be trusted. Also when you call to purchase anything, theyll answer the phone in 2-3 rings, however, if you try to call for service, even on their 24 hour emergency line, get a Snickers bar! they wont answer. And when they did come out, they fixed it for about a month or two then it crapped out again. These 2 units that they sold me were only 3 years old and they cant seem to get it right. Not sure why our home warranty company is using US Air of TX. They lied to us and told us we needed to do upgrades before they could even replace the coil they said it was leaking and we need it 4 pounds of Freon, all lies we told our warranty company we did not want US Air to go out again! Another company went out and it was only the motor, they replaced it within 30 minutes and the AC is working. We would’ve had to pay out-of-pocket $1600 for things we did not need. Trip 1, came out and replaced the fan motor on my air conditioner. Notice, my house is still 80 degrees, call my home warranty, they send a recall he shows up and says, oh you have a leak I replaced your adapter, and are 2 lbs short on refrigerant, its 75 a pound, okay I dont have that today. Trip 3, all AHS again due to my house getting hotter, air is warm blowing assuming another leak as the temps outside havent really changed and my house is getting hotter. Was told by AHS there is no trip fee due to recall, its not fixed. The dispatcher called and said no fee either. She then called back and said, oh wait, if he has to add more refrigerant there is a 75 fee per pound, I say cool I know no worries. Shows up today, goes to my wife, its 75 a pound and a 75 trip fee. I call the A-US office and Shannon answers in a rude and snotty tone. I explain everything that has transpired. She goes, well, you denied service last time we were tehre, so theres a 75 trip charge. I didnt deny any service, he said I had a leak and he replaced the adapter, and I didnt have in the budget the cost of the refrigerant. Well, our policy is a trip charge when you deny service Again lady I didnt deny service. At this point shes getting real hot and snotty. I told her in these words exactly, Thats BS (I didnt say bull shi**), I wasnt told by AHS or your office of this, and I didnt deny service. She tells me, its our policy. Shes so rude. I tell again, God damn, this is BS, Im the customer and was told by my home warranty and your office no trip charge, you should take care of the customer and waive that fee. Somethign along the lines of, Sir, I dont have to take care of anything, thats our policy. Whenver you deny service theres a trip charge to come back. I had to reiterate I didnt deny service... We then tried calling them on their 24 hour emergency phone and they tell you they are CLOSED!!! Some emergency line!! They tell you to leave a message, and they will NOT return any calls. Ok after reading the reviews after our 1st maintaince call, I was worried. Our warranty company sent this company out. However, the a/c repair wasn’t completly correct from the 1st repair and we had to request a 2nd repair. The warranty company stated for us to give the a/c company a chance to fix the repair. So, we asked for a senior hvac repairman. Mike came and took time to go over the system and found our repair needs. He was courteous and explained all details. You gotta ask for Mike!!!!!! By far the shittiest company ever. Not only did they show up late but with the wrong size handler as well. They went to go get the right size and showed up 4 hours later. When the removed the old unit the let the water drip out all over the brand new carpets we had put in. When they left I went to inspect the area and found what looks like dog poop in my sink. Not happy. I had to use them because of AHS but if you can avoid them at all cost.

My technician, Mario, is a professional. From my explanation of the problem with my heater, he went right to work and solved the problem. To be sure, he did more then one check to verify his conclusion. He arrived well within the time parameters he gave me the day before his visit. He had the necessary part on his pickup and installed it. He left my house with a working heater and a happy customer. I would hire Mario any day for repairs on my heater and AC.

A-US Air installed a new coil for $475, but AC still didnt work, so they said it now needed a new valve. The technician left the AC unit connected incorrectly while waiting three days for the valve, so what little cooling the unit could do (85 degrees) was gone, so the house was 90 degrees for three days. Unable to stand it, I called a local AC company that my friend trusts. This company found that all my AC unit needed was freon.I specifically asked A-US Air if freon was the problem; the technician said it wasnt and even wrote on the receipt that the freon was fine. The new company had to add 5 pounds of freon.It obvious A-US Air is either extremely negligent or defrauds its customers.When I called A-US Air to tell them that I found out they had been lying to me, they didnt return my calls or my texts.Do not use this company unless you want to waste a whole lot of money and want to suffer through a lot of frustration.By the way - I had to pay the other company $387 to put the AC unit back together correctly and to add the freon. The technician noticed that A-US Air did a very poor job at welding the coil, so that needs to be redone, and the unit was not sealed correctly, so that also needs to be redone.My air conditioner is only 5 years old. I feel like A-US Air ruined it; aged it, made it into a piece of junk. Disgusting!

Just like all the AHS people, had a horrible experience with them. First they never called to schedule. When I finally got in touch with them, they were snotty and blamed AHS for giving them the previous homeowners contact info. Im not a big fan of AHS either but I feel like A-US could have called AHS back for my contact info. When I finally scheduled the service call, I was given no window of time. I sat around all day, called them twice and was (not very nicely BTW) told they would be there. I finally got a call at 6:30 that they would not be coming because they had called my cell, but it went straight to voicemail. I must have not been receiving a signal at the time, although there is no record on my phone of them calling at all, so Im not sure I believe they even called. I told the woman there was no voicemail and she said Oh, he didnt leave a message, hes not required to So, because I couldnt answer my cell, they just skipped me altogether and waited until 6:30 to tell me they werent coming and they could come out in two days! Horrible business, please dont try and deal with them and if AHS tries to assign them to you, refuse them and ask for another company. AHS will argue with you about it, but insist, I had to. A previous reviewer was right, the only reason they are still in business at all is because people who have AHS are forced to use them. Crap attracts crap.

For one, thats not what I was calling for but ok, now you got my attention and what about this 3rd time of rescheduling?? Looks to me like we have only had to do it twice. So either someone cannot count or they just dont want our business?!?!? I would like someone of authority to either call me or hell, come out to my address which is on file and tell me what this Family Owned and Operated business is going to do about it. I will be contacting the BBB and the local State District Attorneys Office to get this handled. A-US Air Conditioning came out on behalf of AHS (home warranty), after the first company never called. Dealing with AHS was a nightmare and frustrating, but the young man Steve from A-US Air was pleasant. Despite the lack of communication by AHS to A-US Air, Steve went out of his way to help me out. My AC had a leak and I explained to AHS that I had the diagnoses already done by an AC company. I also explained that my daughter gets seizures when exposed to high heat and being in South Texas during the summer this was an emergency. AHS never put this work order as an emergency nor make any notes as to the diagnoses. When I called AHS the third time they got A-US Air to come out. Steve came out made his diagnoses, but had to come out the next day (lack of communication by AHS). When Steve returned the next day my mother-in-law had left the house, Steve went out of his way to call me and drive around the neighborhood looking for my mother-in-law. Unfortunately, he had other appointments and had to leave. He came the next day early in the morning to fix the AC. Overall the experience with A-US Air was great, but AHS is a horrible warranty company on all aspects.

We spoke to at least four different individuals thru text, phone call and voicemail to give them the correct phone number to use ( they had mine and needed to be using my husband’s) and it was never relayed. Terrible service: A us air told us a tech ( Buddy) would call us 30 to 45 minutes before arrival. Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m it is now 9:44 P.M. we are still without heat and no one has called of shown up and all the after hours lady ( Denise) tells us is she relays the message and someone will get back to us but shes not sure. They have emergency service also that no one answers either???????? Hopefully AHC and any other warranty companies take them off their lists. Just look at all the other reviews for them.......

Horrible company. Our company hired through AHS (so you get who you get for A/C). The people in the office dont know whats going on half the time, pass the buck off to someone else, and avoid trying to help you. We were billed twice on one instance. On another, they took 2 weeks to take care of an A/C issue in 98 degree weather. American Home Shield Warranty must be the only appointments these clowns get because you can’t reach them nor get a returned call during business hours nor any other hour of day. They send a text message giving the day of service but without a time frame. Then don’t even show up or answer the phone on the day of service. Stay your butts as far away from this company as possible. Didn’t look up reviews until after service was complete. Chuck was extremely rude and very unprofessional. I’m wondering how in the world are they in service and so extremely busy with the attitudes these guys have and never have an explanation nor a straight reason to anything. Installed a new 5 Ton/14 SEER unit in around 4 hours. Polite, professional, and honest. Unit already makes a noticeable difference from the previous unit. Went through 3 other companies who all either lied to my face, overcharged, were rude, or very unprofessional. Ill be calling these guys back in the future. Ask for Charles.

Worst AC company ever. I saw alot of good reviews and Im thinking to myself, huh these peoples must have been a quick simple fix and thats why they are so happy. So my advised is, if you need some quick fix, like low on freon then this company maybe helpful, but if you need some major repair I warn you: DO NOT EVER HIRE THESE GUYS!!. Im writing this review from Austin. Would definitely not recommend. Not an ethical company and it was a very stressful situation for the time they were here. The guy that came to my house was very disrespectful, a lot of yelling to members of the household, and apparently does not understand human decency...So unless you prefer to get disrespectfully yelled at in your own house from a complete stranger and get high blood pressure from the stressful environment, look elsewhere.

Just like most of the individuals posting here, I am forced to use this group by American Home Shield. They have been out 4 times to fix my AC. A better company would have stayed until it was fixed it the first time. If it was not for American Home Shield users being forced to go with this company.... Im pretty sure they would be out of business. NO WAY ANYONE WOULD CHOOSE TO USE THESE GUYS IF THEY DIDNT HAVE TO.

This company was assigned to me by my insurance company AHS. BIG MISTAKE. Not only did they break my floor molding and damage the paint on my walls, but then refused to discuss it with me even after sending photos of the damage. The customer service is a joke. I’m very disappointed in this company due to the fact someone contacted me on yesterday and advised me that a tech from your company would contact me later that day to provide the arrival time. I received a text on the date of arrival at 8:22am from Thomas informing me that he would arrive between hours of 10am -12. I replied ok. A few minutes later he texted to say he would arrive in the next 20-30 min. After waiting for a while I decided to reread the text to verify the time frame. I decided to text at 10:22 and I called several times but no response. 12:28 I texted and called again to get an update of his arrival time. No response . 1:51 I called no answer. 2:18 I texted no response. I called the main number and the recorder indicated the company was closed. But I knew they were open 24/7 for dispatching therefore someone should be there. It would have been nice to just contact the customer to inform them of your status. Very poor service and a wait of my day .

The worst experience of any company. No one answers the phone, including their emergency line. I called 40-50 times in two days, spanning from normal work hours to 3am in the morning and no answer or call back until the second day. Stay AWAY from this company. Had to use them because of our home warranty company, but will never use them again.

Avoid!Like others, I got stuck with them because of my home warranty company calling them out. A few days after they were called for a broken furnace, they showed up, replaced some fuses, and said they fixed the problem.That was six days ago. Guess what doesnt work? If you guessed my furnace, youd be right!

Would rate 0 stars if possible. The field guy they sent was nice but horrible customer service when calling their #. I wanted to discuss the service, price and work order but said, not this is it. He said and I quote I do not care what our customers think. He was insulting and hung up when I asked his last name. His first name is Kinney (or something like that). Just awful customer service and would not recommend them.

Horrible company...forced by AHS. Have had issues since AUGUST of LAST YEAR and they still cant get it right! Plus even though their fault if i want it fixed i still have to pay some out of pocket. I am a cancer survivor living with one kidney. In this Texas heat i dehydrate quickly. I cant afford to stay in a hotel and its going on three days with no AC.

If their techs driving is an indication of the work they do I would never hire them. Driving in the fast lane on the phone making people pass on the techs right hand side. Can’t follow simple safety laws then I doubt they can safely follow instructions involving chemicals and electricity.

They put in a furnace for my 81 year old mom last Christmas Eve, at the recommendation of AHS. Today, 12/20/2016, her heat isnt working and they wont come out! Guess so much for them warranting their work! I would not recommend this place to anyone

So far bad experience they called this morning to say they would show up today i asked what time couldnt get a definitive answer. This is at at 830am i call again at 1 to see where the tech is and if any info on when theybwould be arriving again no specific time i call at 530 and now they are close 24hr emergency line is a joke. Sends you back to original message about them being closed. Now 7pm guess they arent going to show up and no calls to say if they are still coming but will jot hold my breath

The technicians were very professional but the office worker, Julie, needs to work on her customer service skills. The guys came and repaired the A/C in an efficient manner. They had no problems in explaining the process and was very courteous. It could have been a 5-star rating but Julie, in the office, was very combative on the phone and proceeded to insinuate that I was lying about a quote that I never received. Have a great day!

Had an appointment scheduled today, they would not give me a timeframe. Been waiting around all day just to get a call at 2:30 and say the technician cant make it out and Id have to be on on call wait tomorrow. Pathetic and unprofessional not to provide a time and if their technician couldnt make it out as promised after waiting all day today they should have gotten another technician to come out in this 100 degree weather !

Haad someone come out and check the unit told me I needed 3 pounds of freon a new unit because it was old ...i wasnt happy with because he didnt even open up the unit to look at it or going attic like I asked so had a second opinion and I didnt need 3 pounds of freeon I paid a $190 for that, well worth going out of my way for another opinion! Great company very thorough a&r comfort control,llc...awesome and good old fashion even cleans up after self driving 😁out of San San Antonio...as for a us air...their company sucks as far as checking out your air conditioning I would have paid $270 for freon I didnt even need He didnt even open my unit upstairs and look at anything just put the gages on the outside that is it. I was going to have to pay out of pocket through American homeshield..$1800...for new unit out of pocket.. was also charging me $275.00 for living in Bexar county and I do not They said they would take that off the bill.... only because I caught it🤔🙄 and the 275 of freon not needed😮 They never looked in my attic and that was my 1st thing I asked them for and A guy showed up at my door that looked like a linebacker I knew he wasnt going up in the attic...they didnt listen to anything I said..should have looked had the ratings.....no star for me.... Well it looks like I have to leave a 1 star as it will not post with 0

Very horrible service. How come nobody answers the phone all the time. Even I left messages, they wouldnt call me back. Even they called me back, they were so unfriendly. A-US air is one of the vendors of American Home Shield. Its horrible.
