They were able to get me in after just a couple days, made sure that they were addressing all my concerns (older house with several electrical concerns), and went above and beyond with a competitive price, and military discount. This company just became my go-to. Daniel and Riley were clean, competent, and respectful. I recommend they change their greeting though...a simple hello would be fine. Jonathan was here for the second time yesterday. His first visit was to install a new air conditioner unit. We liked him right away. He knows his work very well and and told us what was going to happen. He and his helper finished the job, cleaned up and left. He returned yesterday to make a very small adjustment to the heating unit.Jonathan is a good worker and a very nice person.

Tech. Hightower did a great job. Right from the start he asked various questions to find out if I was having any problems. He fixed the problem right away. He ran more tests then the techs usually run. His attitude showed that he really cared about the customer. So - go ahead and give him two five star ratings for us.

They were VERY quiet and took time to always put on their shoe covers when coming into the house. Overall, things went great and plan to continue to use this company and refer them to friends and family.6-27-18 UpdateI think a good measure of a company is not only how well they perform their service, but ALSO what do they do when something UNEXPECTEDLY goes wrong during the repair! As I mentioned below, the technician told me what was wrong (busted condenser and coolant transfer part) and we scheduled a repair for Monday morning since he came out late Friday night.Well, Monday morning arrives and I have taken off from work to be home for the repair. I get a call from the company stating that they dont have any of the parts and they wont arrive until Wed. This is where they SHINE: They quickly dispatched a technician to loan us (at no charge) and setup a VERY effective portable AC unit so we wont die in the summer heat. I explain that I cannot take off from work again and they worked with me to schedule a Saturday morning repair. Service city installed my mini splits at my business 3 years ago. We signed up for the annual contract for them to continue regularly coming out at a certain charge. A year and a half ago they came out for the service check said everything was good to go. I had to call another company to come out. $500Later through this new company , which should have been included in my service package with service city, we got our Freon recharged. They are still going to have to come check the lines for leaks.. which again service city should have done. When I called the owner about a year ago, he said he would have his technician comeOut and recheck at no additionalCharge and also reimburse my cost fromThe other company. Service city went black. No response back. No check as promised. So, I dropped my annoyance and chalked it up to karma. Now, this company is using our company as a reference of the great work they do?!? Are you kidding me??? Do not trust this company. Do not trust their work. Make sure you use a reputable installation for mini splits. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS. I had an excellent experience with Service City Electric. The primary technician that worked at my home was named Jose. He was very friendly and hard working. He and the crew answered all of my questions throughout the replacement of my breaker box and stayed late to make sure everything was in working order. Im very grateful that they were able to work on my home and would recommend them to anyone.

Called service today. They asked me please to give them 24 hours cancellation notice. Then, they cancelled on my at 920am today when our window is 11-2. Covid was sighted as the reason why. Totally understand that. I worked through every second of Covid managing a team of 50 plus every day. Stuff happens.However, the reality of it, is that they more than likely did not find out this was an issue at 915 and called me right away. Especially with the team member I spoke with, telling me they have been trying to find a way to get someone out to me all morning. Being in summer, during a massive heat wave in Texas, everyone needs their AC fixed. Had they called me at 7 am and said “I’m so sorry this is where we at” they would have given me a better opportunity to find another company to come recharge the system today. I am sure there will be some underhanded response back to this from service today. But nothing on this review is fabricated or exaggerated.Don’t ask your potential customers for a courtesy that you aren’t willing to provide them with. Thank you for your time.

After calling several companies, they were the only ones that were willing to come out on such short notice. The technician who arrived, Cedric, was very professional and after diagnosing our problem gave us several options to choose from. We were very surprised and grateful that they were able to fix our problem. Gus and Daniel stayed until 10pm to make sure it was up and running. So grateful and highly recommend them to anyone.

Service City provided excellent service installing an in-ground electrical line to my sliding gate. They scheduled the appointment quickly, Marc gave an immediate estimate. and scheduled the work for two days later and now it is complete. I felt bad because the day he came out to work was the coldest day weve had and the work required him to be outside digging trenches, but he showed up at the time he said and completed everything efficiently.

After trying to work with this company to make this right. I have decided I needed to inform the public about my woes. Service city electric installed two mini splits in my business. They have had issues with leaking from the beginning. The first time I had issues the owner didn’t even reach out, his manager did. They ended up repairing wall damage from leaks and things seemed better. A year later, it’s time for my annual check up which is free because I pay the yearly fee. They came. I explained that the units weren’t getting as cold as they had in the past. I even asked technician to check the Freon. He touched the copper pipe said no that’s not the issues. Went on the charge me to clean the units.. he only really cleaned one. Then he gave me this outrageous quote to add on yet another mini split, when at the time of install we were told this should be perfect for the space. Quote for that was between 12-13,000 I believe.So, we called another company. They came out. My Freon was 2lbs low and I was out another $476. I reached back out to Service city. Spoke to the owner for the first time, he seemed extremely disappointed in his technician. Told me this is not what is to be expected. Promised to pay the $476 I was out and sent out a technician to come check the lines for leaks. Technician came out this past Friday 7/5. Barely spent time here. Said he knew the Freon had just been filled and that we should be good through the summer. After multiple calls and emails to owner. With no resolve, I have decided to allow the public to know this is NOT AN A + business. They charge more than other companies. You will only be guaranteed a headache. BEWARE!!!!

They fixed my ceiling fan/light combo unit in record time!!! (Apparently it was an super easy fix for them) and they therefore only charged me the troubleshooting service fee!They even explained how I can reset the remotes myself in the future (I have 4 remotes between the 2 units) in case they get off-synced from the units again in the future!!!Super thnx guys!!!

First of all I will say that the staff is extremely polite and professional when you call. That has never been an issue. Our issue is this, Service City merged with Ray’s Air, whom we purchased our new system from about 6 months prior. With that purchase/installation, we chose to purchase an extended 10year warranty on parts and labor - for peace of mind. From the get go we had issue after issue with our system - no Freon, leaks, wires shorting out, etc. last November (2017) I was reassured by the manager that Service City was dedicated to taking care of us, and that they would absolutely honor our warranty purchased. Fast forward to January 2018, we made a service call because our now 20 month old system wasnt heating correctly. When the tech came out he informed us that Service City was no longer honoring labor warranties. In contacting the manager, he confirmed that fact. He stated that they were literally losing money and about to go out of business. THEN actually had the nerve to say that we could purchase ANOTHER WARRANTY called “Friends and Family”!!!!! Why on Earth would anyone buy a warranty from a company that is - SUDDENLY - refusing to honor the one you already bought???!!! Wow. No thanks. On top of that, they quoted $4700 to replace our zoning board and dampers. 4 other quotes have been no more than $1200, and we can actually buy the board for about $100-$300, and the dampers were $100 each. They aren’t a terrible company, but they aren’t as fair and customer oriented as they claim. Very disappointed.

Everett was fantastic at timely communications for our urgent need to remove a light switch to activate our garbage disposal and instead have an outlet be hot under the sink. We are in the middle of a kitchen remodel and I forgot about this step and he was excellent at caring for our needs while we had open walls. Everett and his assistant were on time, professional, cleaned up, and friendly to do business with. Thank you!

Horrible! This company was absolutely trying to take advantage of us, charging over 4x the labor cost that another company wanted for the exact same job, plus charging a dispatch/service fee on top of that. They would not even warranty ANY labor of any kind without going even higher and getting a completely new system for over $10k. This company wanted to put us out in the cold while we were trying to get rescued from the cold! Thank God for the truly honest companies that will come to your rescue. This is NOT one of them. I found this company from a warranty on parts that I needed when Ray’s Emergency Air installed equipment poorly and created problems, caused by shortcuts and bad workmanship. The motor “fell apart.” Ray’s is now “out of business,” but the phone number goes to Service City Air and Electric. When you call Ray’s number, Service City answers the phone. It sounds like the same company under a different guise. They will try to get more money out of you, including charging labor costs in what amounts to over $300/hr. This company would not own up to any of the problems caused by Ray’s installation only 1 1/2 years ago. On top of all that, I attempted to get a written, itemized bid/quote/estimate separately for the labor and parts costs. They said they would provide, but never did. I called to speak to a Manager. They said the Manager was busy and would call me back. The Manager never called back. This is a company of crooks trying to scare you into paying way more money. We had a HORRIBLE experience! I will never try or trust this company again, and I will be lodging a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau.I almost forgot. When I called to speak to a manager, the dispatcher asked what the problem was. When I told her another company agreed to do the work for 1/4 of the price, she was surprised, but made no effort to make it right.

Christopher Mulno, the technician, was great! He patiently answered all my questions & took the time to explain the answers so they made sense to me. When I told him that Id been surprised that my electric bill went up after the installation of the newer, higher SEER rated, unit, he figured out the probable cause & adjusted the internal settings to compensate for it. Im very happy with Service City Air & Electric!

Recently we have had a few issues with our newer units that were installed 2 years ago. I cant say enough about Chris and how helpful he has been. He has gone above and beyond to ensure our units were working correctly, and even pointed out some preventative items to ensure we dont have issues in the near future. Also, Angela has been so kind when we call in, she deserves huge kudos for going above and beyond. Thanks so much Chris and Angela, you have both have been fantastic!

My call to Service City Electric was answered by a real person, Leah, a very pleasant young woman who was eager to help me with my problem. She directed my call to Everett who told me what I needed to do to turn off my smoke alarm. He was at my front door when he said he would be, introduced himself and his fellow workers, who covered their shoes before entering, and stayed until my complex problem was fixed, even though it meant they were at my house until about 7:30 p.m. Everett, Barry and Brett were thorough, patient, clean, and eager to be helpful and please me. They went the second mile during their visit. Even though I had not used Service City Electric before, I certainly will use them again and will recommend them to others.

The lady who answered my after-hours call was very patient and kind. The technician, Everett, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and was able to fix my electrical issues quickly. I would recommend this company to anyone needing electrical work done!

I needed an A/C checkup for regular maintenance. I scheduled two weeks ahead. Then the day prior I get a text message asking me to cancel because other customers have no air conditioning so theyre a priority. I get that but I scheduled two weeks prior, Service Citys staffing issues arent my concern. Make sure to have enough workers for the schedule. I didnt agree to cancel the appointment, but they never showed up. They werent asking me, they were telling me. Plain rude. I was a brand new customer and was looking for a company for my regular maintenance. Obviously I wont be using them again. They dont stick to their obligations. They really messed up because I have an ancient air conditioning system that will need replacement soon. They would have been the ones to make all that money when I get a new A/C. Too bad for them, if only they could treat their customers right, even a cheap lil A/C check that wouldnt net them much profit would have led to greater profits later but theyre too focused on money right right now rather than treating customers fairly.

Everett and Jonathan at ServiceToday did an excellent job in getting my 10 outlets & switches in working order today. They were knowlegeable, skilled, and efficient in completing the project. They even got my ceiling lights working again which I didnt think was related to the project. The cost for the service was fair after seeing their work.

Our smoke detector about 20 feet up started going off in the middle of the night. We called Service City Electric and they sent out Casey Hargis. Casey did a great job. He told me my options to replace the smoke alarm, found a tall ladder, and made a trip to find the replacement brand I wanted. I am very happy with the service, and will call Service City again. It cost a lot more to replace the whole alarm, but was worth it with a 10 year battery so I should not have to deal with it again for a long time. He also caught a lizard (yuck!) for my son. My son is delighted too.

I just have to say that the technicians that came out to repair the installation and sealants in my house did a fantastic job and were professional and made me feel safe! They were very nice and courteous and even cleaned up any mess that was made. I will defiantly recommend them and use their service again. Thank you so much for the great job!

Danny was very professional and diagnosed the problem. Only issue I had was the price. Even though Service City does not have an hourly rate structure and just a trip charge of $69 (regardless of whether the work is ultimately done with them), paying $200 per hour for finding 2 problem outlets and running wire through the attic is pretty steep. Called around to other electricians in the area and got $80 per hour rates and no trip charge. Those hourly ones are booked well into a week away, so I guess I paid a premium for a more immediate response (work was not on the weekend/afterhours). Probably wont be calling Service City again because the bill did not make me smile.

This is the second time that Jared has been to my home and both times he has been professional and courteousHe is truly a blessing to your company. I posted this a few months ago, and now things have changed. I think that Jared is still a good tech, but his employer has stuck me out on a service call, that they offered me, for two weeks now. And want me to reschedule knowing that they will cancel again. They shouldn’t offer service that they can’t provide

Company communicates well electronically - when bidding job its a pain to talk with 5 different companies repeating yourself endlessly. Technician texted me to keep me informed of his ETA. Technician took in all details of my job, understood my priorities and discussed reasonable sets of options. Work commenced immediately and the follow up next day was prompt. Assistant on second day was courteous. All tasks completed in reasonable time, minimum fuss, work site cleaned up. Likely have them back out to install outdoor fans and bathroom lights.

I purchased an entire new system 12 months ago from company. Early this morning the AC started to leak in the house - water everywhere. I call Service City, and I get transferred to Milestone, a bit confusing. Then I get transferred to an answering service. I am told that the company is in a meeting until 12pm. It is 8:30am when I call. They inform me that someone will call me this afternoon. I cannot fathom that a company has a company wide meeting that takes up half a day, and their customers who have urgent needs have to wait hours, now possibly days to obtain urgent service. Terrible way to do business, and terrible customer service. I am literally forced to call another provider and spend more money. Which is also infuriating because I have prepaid for their annual service package. What a Joke!

I was quoted a fixed price to install two 3-way switches. It seemed a bit expense but I went for it. Turns out, it was a bargain. It was rewiring a 30 year old switch.The wiring was non-standard.The instructions on how to install the new smart switches were not totally correct (as he discovered after calling the 800 help number)Mike was tenacious. I paid for their Club Membership and they cancelled my 1st appointment because they received alot of calls from people whose AC had gone out. At the appointment for a tune up the tech spent more time writing the report then he did tuning up the units. Of course he recommended we replace both units. He suggested I schedule an appt with the sales mgr because he couldnt provide an estimate for replacing units. Feels like they more interested in selling new units than servicing existing units. I will definitely be getting a 2nd opinion.

Just like another review on here I have contacted Service City MULTIPLE times to get to get an itemized breakdown of a proposal they gave me. The price on the proposal was about 4 times higher than any other company will charge for the same service (2 zone board replacement). All the proposal said was 2 zone board then a ridiculous sum of money next to it. Its clear t me that they dont want me to know what they would be charging me for.This company, in one breath, told be that my warranty that I purchased with my system two years ago was no longer valid and they would not horror it, then in the next breath offered me a Friends an Family package that listed a warranty on it.If you were born last night this is the company for you!

Service City came out to my house to add a external light plug and an internal switch in my kitchen. The guy was super efficient and friendly. He did the entire job in about 2 house at a reasonable rate. I will never use anyone else again.

I believe service city did a great job in repairing my air when both units went out. They came out and tried to service a mess which a previous repair group attempted; however a temp fix or attempt to fix could not guarantee resolve and although a possible control board replacement on both units could have resolved. It would have prolonged the inevitable. Cedric provided and insight into replacing the whole system both upstairs and downstairs and work with me to get air back to a heat wiery family. Gus and Daniel worked tirelessly to replace the unil ensure my to smart thermostats were up and running and both heat and cool were working.

I used this company 2 years ago to install 2 complete new heating and ac systems. I am still having major issues to this day. I’ve been told that the system was installed improperly. Half of my home does not heat/cool properly. They were never honest with me about why this was a consistent problem with a new system. I’ve been told by another company I would need to re do all the duct work. Fed up with dealing with this. I am still paying on these units and feel there is no real help and constant money going towards it. It’s also frustrating that my living room is never able to heat to set temperature and gas bills are sky high in winter from the unit constantly running

On a hot Sunday afternoon in August in Texas, the beaker on the side of the house tripped. We tried to flip the breaker and it broke off. The first electric company said they did not have any appointments available. When I called Service City Electric the person was so nice. He was going find out if someone was available right way, since we had no electricity to the whole house. He said that someone is available and will be at our house within the hour. The electrician was at our home in 15 minutes. He went right to work to find the problem. He came up with a solution, and showed us the set price. They do not charge by the hour, but they the task. We gave Danny the go ahead. It did not take long for him to get the electricity back on again. Thank you! I am so glad we called Service City Electric.

The gentlemen who came to our house today for a quote on ac unit were thorough with their diagnosis and did not try to sell us something we didnt need, they assessed our homes needs and prices accordingly, we went through 5 different companys before them and none were as knowledgeable about what was needed and only had 1 thing to get a sale. So I give these 2 guys John and Cedric 5 stars they also explained everything in simple terms for the wife to understand,. I did purchase a system from them, I will update when unit is installed.

Dee came to do the annual Furnace maintenance check. Exceptionally courteous technician. Very thorough and even went back up in the attic to double check that everything was put pack where it belonged before closing the attic door. His explanations were very thorough and easy to understand for me as a homeowner, who is not HVAC fluent.

Even though we had never met, Antiguan, made me feel as though I had known him for years. He came with the fruit of the Spirit, a smile on his face, joy in his heart, kindness, something we all need these days. Doing what he was purposed to do. What more could you ask for? He diagnosed my a/c problem in a short efficient manner and helped me save allot of money.

Technician Stephen was awesome. Very friendly and knowledgeable. We ended up not using their service do to the high estimate for the job.

My mother in law was just telling me about a great experience she had with Jessica Turner. She dosnt give reviews so I decided to because of how impressed she was with the excelent service she was talking about. Our tech was Lance - he was excellent. Very knowledgable and went above and beyond in terms of checking out the house and going over what works and what could be improved if we so choose. And best of all, not pushy.

I had quite a bit of work done. I had 3 circuits added to my panel. I isolated an upstairs bedroom from my downstairs master. I added a dedicated circuit to another bedroom upstairs. I had all my smoke detectors that were 10 years old replaced. I had a surge suppressor added to the panel in the garage. I had 4 regular outlets replaced with 4 outlets that have AC outlets and USB built in. I also had 5 wifi enabled switches added. I am very happy with all the work. I am deducting 1 star for a breaker in my panel that we were unable to determine what it is for. This took all day and was not cheap but you get what you pay for.

Do not use this service company or the technician by the name of nathan. Once he sees your not going to buy the replacement product from him, then he is a different person. He didnt put all the screws back on the electrical panel of my Ac unit outside and never connected the wires back after he was asked to put back like he found it. Still not sure what you get for a tune up because all he did was test two wires, didnt check anything else.

We had 2 light fixtures and a ceiling fan that needed to be installed. Everything was done quickly and professionally with up front pricing. Highly satisfied!

Stay Away From This Company!!!!! All they want to do is convince you to purchase a new AC system. They have two trained salesman that will give you a list of issues with your system and tell you that your system needs thousands of dollars in repairs and ultimately end up selling you a new system that you didnt need and now have you stuck paying a system off for 8 years. Get a second opinion if they have been out to your home

Terrible service as they told me I needed expensive repairs done so I got a second opinion from another company and they said I didnt not need all the work done that Service City Air said I needed done. The second company did the minor repairs and everything has been working fine since. Would not recommend Service City Air & Electric as obviously they were trying to take advantage of me.
