If you want someone to solve the insolvable and who is an expert and knows what they are doing, I’d highly recommend Christianson plumbing. I had issues in my house which no other company could fix(and I mean no one out of 10+ companies I reached out to for over 8+ months). The owner has a wealth of knowledge and experience, and was able to fix things for me swiftly. I am thankful to this company for doing such an amazing job.
Christianson A/C & Plumbing was hired by Nextlink after our water line was cut by their employees backhoe. They repaired the line and we have had no issues until this cold snap. It appears the sub freezing temperatures caused the pipe to burst last night. Christianson came out first thing the next morning and fixed the issue very quickly. They were very open with their estimate, so we knew what the repair could cost, prior to them beginning. After they were finished they informed us that because they made the original repair they were not going to charge us for this fix. This is like a miracle, times are tight plus it’s so heartening to see a company that stands behind their work. Their employees were very polite and professional. I would highly recommend them.
They installed the AC completely wrong. Every other contractor that has seen the pictures has outright laughed. The plenum is sitting on styrofoam which is going to silently deteriorate until there is an unexpected catastrophe. The unit is not installed with the right incline, so it is unable to drain correctly. The duct work is too small for the unit, so the HVAC fan is running at more than double the recommended static pressure. Its so bad that the home inspector wrote it in sharpie on the side of the unit. Even worse, when they finally called, it was curt and dismissive.
Zero stars. They sent a young gentleman to our house. He was very nice, but very green to replace a garbage disposal. He did that but up sold a new faucet and pipes. Thats where the trouble began. The sink was leaking when he left. We had the dispatcher return him that afternoon and that got resolved. Then my wife tries to clean dishes the next morning for the dishwasher and the sprayer wont come out at all. We call them again. They are a no show twice on appointments. Call literally anyone else. This company doesnt do good work or back their services.
Unscrupulous BusinessChristianson misdiagnosed our furnace problem, charged for a part and labor that were unnecessary, and then overcharged for a part and labor when the actual repair was made after four service calls. We paid a total of $1761 for a $900 motor that took less than 20 mins to install. While discussing the dispute, the Christianson representative stated that “We are in the business of making money.” Clearly there is a big difference between making a reasonable profit and price gouging the customer.
Found water dripping from a drain line outside the house this morning. After investigating I found water leaking from one of the water heaters in the garage. Christianson had installed them in our house built in 2017. Called them at 9:45 am. The very polite woman said she’d send someone today to look at it. She called back at 10:14 to say they were on their way. Five minutes later, two trucks pulled in. One of the guys pulled back some of the pipe insulation and said it needed a new tank and it was still under warranty for 2 more months. He called to check their warehouse, and his boss delivered the new tank, pan, and fittings. The new tank was installed by 12:15. Now I say that’s great service! It helped that they were in a nearby subdivision, of course. But I really appreciate their efforts today! Above and beyond expectations!
Christianson Plumbing took advantage of the stressful situation of a backed up toilet with sewage on the floor and in the carpet to overcharge for a simple repair. Despite diagnosing a minor issue, they made it sound like a big job that would require a crew for a whole day, they quoted an exorbitant price and required us into sign a contract and provide a credit card before starting the work. The actual repair took a plumber and his helper about an hour, yet we were charged a full $3,500. Their predatory behavior was planned and intentional. Avoid this company like the plague.
Do not get these guys. I had them come in for basic check…and they break my drip pan flooding my bathroom ceiling. The owner has zero integrity to fix my issue correctly. Save yourself from the thousands I am having to pay.
We had a really bad experience with this company, they never take responsibility for their mistakes. They installed everything in our house, and one of the benders never worked, we had come back twice and they never figured it out.
Every time I had to call them out, the service quality was worse and worse. Now in all fairness to them, DR Horton homes are not in good quality anyway. However, the last service this company did damage my A/C unit which they said was already there. Absolutely horrible service and without question, thank goodness I use someone else now.FYI: it’s gonna cost me over $1K to replace their damage.
Disappointed after using them for 20+ years. Over the years they replaced my entire HVAC system (2 units plus inside), furnace, hot water heaters… and after doing $3400 in repairs to my Trane AC system I find out that they used Carrier parts (coils and valve) because apparently they don’t carry Trane parts anymore. Would have been nice to tell me that before doing the repairs. They are the ones who totally sold us on Trane. After replacing the valve, the technician was really puzzled and making phone calls and then told me the coils needed replacement so I really wonder about parts compatibility. Called to speak to someone for an explanation, had to leave a VM, and of course they don’t return my call. Too bad… I used them exclusively for all these years because I trusted them. I feel like this was dishonest, unprofessional, and unethical.
A/C Tech guy named OJ was wonderful. He was quick and very nice, professional and informative. Great tech and experience. Thank you for great services!!!
Joseph & Blaine service techs are great! I really appreciate their friendliness, patience, and understanding of my leak problems. They were thorough with the service, arrived on time, finished quickly, and even took the time to educate me on the issue. I would not hesitate to recommend and work with them again.
I had some cooling issues with My AC unit overnight. I called Christianson and left a voicemail.Miss Rose called first thing the next morning and gave me a few tips while troubleshooting. She was very knowledgeable and kind and I genuinely appreciate her professionalism..
I used them a few months ago to replace the indoor unit at a rental home and the install went great. I was very pleased. And I was happy to find a company I could rely on to do a good job.Fast forward to yesterday, I called them to check a Trane unit at another home. The fee to come out was a reasonable $75. The tech came out and found that a mouse had chewed through a wire at the outdoor unit. They wanted an additional $120 to splice in a new wire and reprogram my thermostat. When I asked why the thermostat would need to be reprogrammed, he stumbled over his explanation, finally saying the error codes needed to be cleared. I know for a fact that you only need to reboot the thermostat via the wall switch to clear the error codes (I was right, btw). He calls me back and agrees to just change the wire for $80. Fine. Its still expensive, but at least itll be done. When I checked the job this morning, I could see the old wire leading right up into the unit. Ill edit this if I find a spliced in wire when I check tomorrow morning, but I assume he just used the slack in the wire to reconnect to the control board. In addition, he broke the plastic housing on top of the condensor in two places, and left the sharp edge of the panel rubbing against the wires going into the unit. See the photos. When I called to complain this morning, the service manager told me it was his honest opinion I had intended all along to find everything wrong I could with the job so that I could get out of paying for it. At least he agreed to refund the entire amount, but now I have an outdoor condensor that looks broken as I try to sell the house.I have all the calls recorded in case anyone in management at Christianson wants to hear them.
I am extremely disappointed in this company. Due to a mistake on their part, my elderly parents are without heat during a hard freeze weather event in Texas. It will get down to 18 degrees tonight.Last night my mother called them to report their furnace being out. She left their phone number for a callback. She never received a return call. She had to call again this morning to get to their operator and they let her know that they could not get there until tomorrow as they take calls on a first come, first served basis. When I called this morning to follow up trying to get someone there today, they let me know that they had called last night and there was no answer. I asked my mom to check her missed calls and she did not have any missed calls.I then called back and the company verified the number they had for the account was a different area code. They had written it down wrong. As this was their mistake, I asked if they could get someone over there today and they said no. While I understand they are busy, it is extremely dangerous to leave elderly people without heat. I feel that if they really cared about customer service, they would find a way to get somewhere there especially considering that whomever checked the messages that were left made the mistake by not writing down their phone number correctly.Sadly, the equipment was installed by this company and we do not want to void the warranty on the machine so we are stuck.AND, it is not as easy as having them stay at my house - it is not equipped with the needs for my fathers mobility issues. Finally, here is their mission statement and I am going to have to say they are failing on CARE.“C” is for Character. Christianson experts do what is right for the customer every time.“A” is for Attitude. Christianson experts will work tirelessly to find the right solution.“R” is for Responsiveness. Christianson experts begin by seeking first to understand rather than to be understood.“E” is for Excellence. Christianson experts are trained and strive everyday to be great.
I was told by the technician that the cost will be $65. I agreed to it. But he presented a bill of $185. I disputed this difference to his supervisor. They did not performed the service I requested. Rather they left the panel by the air condition open. It caused more damage to my air condition.
I called several times days before with no return call from them, and finally I called again days later and reached someone there. I was told a price, but when the plumbers got here the price for 20 minutes of work was much higher. One guy with the plumber had wondering eyes around my master bedroom which I didnt like.....; take your money elsewhere!
Easily the worst HVAC/plumbing company I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. After four different visits across FOURTEEN DAYS, our system is still not cooling. We were the last stop of the day for each of the three different techs who visited us (one was here twice) and because of this they were always in a hurry to wrap things up and go home, even if the job wasn’t finished. I have been in this apartment in temperatures of 83+ degrees for TWO WEEKS thanks to these unprofessional, incompetent con artists. If I was you, I’d take your money literally ANYWHERE else instead of Christianson.
There is no 24/7 support, and it seems they don’t offer live customer service. My AC has been malfunctioning for a couple of days, and every time I call, it goes straight to voicemail. There’s no emergency support available, which makes it feel like they don’t prioritize their customers’ needs.
Our Unit had a leak due to the contractors puncturing the line with a nail so we called the builder to get the warranty coverage. Christianson sent out Jeremy and he absolutely killed it. Not only was he professional but also friendly to converse with and had a great attitude for having to deal with the situation. He ran every test that he needed to and did not just stop with a simple fix but found the actual problem and completed the job. We had several other people look at it and they couldn’t even find the issue but Jeremy went above and beyond and made sure my family was taken care of. I highly recommend him. In a culture of lazy workers, I wish more people put effort into their like Jeremy did.
Christianson installed the HVAC in my residence when it was built in 2021. Last fall one of the thermostats failed. A serviceman arrived in a timely manner, decided a new thermostat was needed but it would have to be ordered. He returned in 7-10 days and installed it.Unfortunately, the lowest it can be set for AC is 75. Many pre-programmed highest and lowest settings for both AC and heat cannot be changed. When I called to have the serviceman return and rectify the problem, a very rude phone worker refused my request and insisted that I should fix it myself.Needless to say, I have taken my business elsewhere.(The second star is for the serviceman who was timely, helpful and pleasant.)
This company provides the warranty for my house since it’s a KB Home. They have been out multiple times over the past 18 months and claim my AC is operating fine. However, they like to add Freon to the unit and then the next tech says it’s over charged and removes Freon. They informed me that my warranty was only for 12 months. So I just had a second company come out today and actually gave me a write up of what the problems are. Called KB and they said the warranty is 24 months and sent this company back out. The response from the tech was “seems like everything is working fine but I need to add Freon. However my supervisor said not to do anything because you had another company out and they don’t appreciate that.” Please run from this company. They are not interested in fixing problems.
We have dealt with 4 different A/C companies in the last month. The first 3 all said it was something different and gave us the run around. We are so glad we found Christianson. They sent someone out the very next day. They didnt try to say things were broken that werent just to make more money like other companies. Jeremy, the technician, was very knowledgeable, truthful, and friendly. He did an amazing job fixing our A/C and thoroughly checking it to make sure it was working properly before leaving. We will definitely be using them in the future, and we hope our technician will be Jeremy because we fully trust him with our A/C unit.
Indoor blower motor went out recently. Extremely hot Texas weather this year...not good. Called Christianson for a service appointment and they were out the next morning. Jeremy (AC Tech) came out and had diagnosed the problem quickly. He had to order the part and go pick up but was back to replace 2.5 hours later! Want to give Jeremy high marks for his skills, professionalism and customer interaction. Great Service!
I had a burst pipe on my 2 year old house. So sad. Dr. Horton notifies me that this company is the contractor that laid the pipes on my house. They took no responsibility for it of course and they pulled the no warranty card. I asked for the warranty on the manufacturer. They don’t know. Odd and very suspicious on how you don’t know your main suppliers warranty that you work with everyday and supply to thousands of your customers. Also it is very suspicious that there is no email found nowhere on the site for this company. I asked the manager Joe to email me on what is the warranty for the repair and the pipe. He refused to email. That is red flag #3. So I will have to take it upon myself to take legal counsel on such a shady business operation and possible negligence. Since I have to pull teeth for answers and accountability.
Terrible job, the plumber installed the faucet for the kitchen, when we turn the garbage disposal leaks down and the plaster he used is coming off.
During the 108 degrees we have been experiencing, the AC went out on a Saturday morning at a rental house - the unit is just over a year old. I went into a state of panic on who do you call and will anyone respond or pick up the phone over the weekend and when can they fit me in. We know all the techs are working 24/7 in this treacherous weather. Christianson has an emergency line and staff do respond!! They were able to fit me in on that same day due to a cancellation and although they didnt have the part they had it over-nighted and it was installed the next day. The AC tech is my hero and he should be recognized and so should staff like Rose ; she is to be recognized for her patience as she deals with stressed customers. You are my heroes. Thank you! Melissa
We bought a brand new house in 2019 so the HVAC system installed by Christianson AC is not very old. The system is under warranty as far as most parts but labor is not. We had them come out to find out why our house is not heating. The technician came out, said he did a temporary fix but had to order the part and charged us $95. We were called a couple of days later to see if we wanted to have them order the part and install it. We said yes. The part came in a few days later and scheduled him to come out to replace it. After spending about 10 minutes installing it and $200 later he said he was done. That night we still had no heat. Same issues with the furnace. So for starters, I do not believe their technicians should not be trusted to troubleshoot or service their systems. We also called Kurt to discuss the issue early in the day after leaving him a voice mail and he does not feel it is important to return calls which matches up with poor customer service. I would not recommend this company to anyone!
Our AC unit had a leak last week and we were told that it wouldnt be fixed for six days because their techs were on vacation. Our family decided to wait it out given Christianson had installed the unit, however I have had to repeatedly call to get an update on service. I have also tried to get a hold of a manager, leaving message after message and they wont give me a call back. This is horrible customer service. I would not recommend you use this company if you live outside of Round Rock. Their service is horrible and I will never be using them again.
Worst customer service. 5 minute warning call instead of 30-20 noted when scheduling. I was putting my infant to sleep and the tech banged down the door like a cop waking my kid up who was in a serious fit from the loud bang. Mind you I have a sign that says please dont knock. He was incredibly rude and looked at me like I was unjustified in explaining why his knock was inappropriate. Then when I asked if he could remove his shoes or I can provide shoe covers he refused and said I never remove my boots. After a back and forth he conceded and found some in his truckThroughout the entire service appointment he was very condescending and said that he did not hear a problem with our vents which is what he was here to check. They were clearly making a very loud noise and I also had video that I sent to the company prior to scheduling this appointment. Do not use them they were forced upon me by a warranty company and find somebody else who is more friendly and will not come into your house with a grumpy attitude and bad energy.Worst company to work with
Always dependable; always honest. Just another positive review... but when then there are many, many positive reviews, thats what prompts you to use their services!
This is totally a dishonest company. Be aware when you call them to fix your AC. On Saturday, my AC stop working. I call them and agree to be charged $125 for checking. The guy on the phone told me there will be a technician guy come to check and will tell me what the issue is. I was not at home at that day and have my brother home instead to open the door for him to come in. After done checking, that technician guy did not call me or tell me anything. I called them twice, but they did not answer the phone. When I get home, I talked to my brother and was told that the motor mount in the furnace was broken. The whole house is freaking hot..so I end up to open the furnace and fix the motor mount (I temporarily drill holes to secure the motor mount while waiting for the parts ($80) I bought online). The AC is working now and smoothly. Now the story begins. On Tuesday, after 3 days when the technician guy come to check, they call me and quote me $860 to fix the issue. I ask them what is wrong with my AC unit. And they said that the motor and the wheel need to be replaced and it will take 4 days to fix it. This is a total lie! The motor is still working, the wheel is sill running fine. It is just the motor mount which is broken (cost me $80 to buy online with express shipping). I think they just want to make profit by selling the parts and are lazy to find the issue. They just replace the whole thing which is not necessary. Everyone, be aware of this company!
Wow! I called Christianson on the recommendation of my father but you couldnt come out until the following day. In the meantime, I had a different company look at my AC and they said the repair was $1000, I had mold in my system and my furnace was shot. I was looking at a full system replacement so I was thrilled when Jason came out and assured me everything was working properly with my system, no mold and the furnace looked good (though I will be calling when it gets cold for an inspection). My AC was fixed for $350 and up and running within a few minutes. I so appreciate the honesty and quick service. When my co-workers AC stopped working two days later, I knew just who to recommend!
John’s service was nothing short of outstanding. He was not only 100% accurate in the assessment of the problem, but went out of his way to provide me with a thorough explanation of its cause, as well as the solution. Would absolutely recommend him to anyone.
Very good company. Have had great experience in the past. Having some trouble recently. Somewhat typical appointment issues. Scheduled appointment and was told they would be here 8-12. Called after 12 and was told tech should be there in 30 mins. Annoying but ok. They call back and now it’s an hour. I asked to reschedule. I understand they have busy schedules but I seriously can’t sit here waiting for someone when I have no idea when they will come. It’s unacceptable. The company does good work and is reputable so this is frustrating. My previous appointment did not go like this. They showed up when expected.
I had a guy from Christiansonhvac come over to fix some issues at my place, and wow, what a positive experience! He tackled the exhaust fan problem and even figured out why my master bath was having temperature issues. The best part? He was such a happy and friendly person. I honestly forgot to ask his name, but I wont forget his service. If you need HVAC work done, ask for the jovial guy at Christiansonhvac – you wont be disappointed!
Liars and thieves, run away from these people and make sure no one you know or love uses them. They were hired 2022 to do routine maintenance on the AC system. Two technicians showed up end of day and did a rushed job. They both agreed it looked great and should be fine for the summer. Just go ahead and call them back for winter maintenance later in the year.2 months later in the hot summer of 100 deg + the system stops working. They come back out for another fee (tried to charge additional to finish the diagnosis but when I protested they said they would do it as part of the call out fee) at the end of their visit they claim the system is leaking, specifically the evaporator coil on the inside unit. On site the tech said it would be around $2500 to repair. Next morning another representative from the office calls and says itll be over $4000.I call competitors to see if this is right and am fortunate to find a competitor that could come out the next day for a second opinion. Turns out the evaporator coil was dirty, no leaks. Christianson didnt even clean the outside unit, which is basic AC maintenance. The fix was practically the same price Id already paid Christianson for their maintenance. This cant even be considered a mistake by Christianson as AC systems are closed, so there is either a leak or there is no leak. And confirming the location they stated there was tons of coolant leaking from the evaporator coil. Well there was non. Lies and deception for an overcharged repair they manufactured from their fake maintenance. This is about as low as an AC company can get, and they do plumbing. Stay away, they wont even answer back my messages to see if theyll refund the cost to make it right, or have an explanation of any kind besides fraud.
Good I guess....$130 just to take 1 minute and tell me mine line was clogged and it would be another $60 to unclog it. Borrowed a buddies shop vac and fixed it in 2 minutes. Just wish there was desecration on the diagnostic fee especially if Im just 2 years into my warranty.
Paid 800 to fix a problem of the system freezing the lines and now less then a week later our lines are frozen again and we have no AC.Update: The owner called me back today and had his guy out here this evening and fixed the issue for free. As long as everything is good this time would recommend in the future.
Horrible customer service. Our AC went out on a Sunday and when I called I was told they would come the following day between 8am and noon to fix it. We got a call at 9am that they would be coming by, but no one showed. The tech told us they had been knocking bit no one was answering. Turns out they never updated our address and sent the tech to the wrong house. We called the office to update our address and they then told us they had sent the tech to the next stop, and now we were moved to the last stop of the day, even though it was their fault. We never got an apology from them for messing up our appointment and got the run around any time we called to get an ETA. With two little kids, we couldnt stay in a house that was 90+ degrees. By the time 6pm rolled around they still hadnt shown up.We ended up calling a different company to come out because of how horrible this was. I understand mistakes happen, but not apologizing and putting us at the end of the day was not the answer. I will not be using them again after this.
We were having low water pressure throughout our home. On 11/14, Eli scheduled the appointment for 11/16. Within 20 minutes of Nestos arrival, he explained the reason for the low water pressure and let us know the cost to fix it. Were are very thankful for the overall experience we had. Thank you Eli and Nesto!
Highly recommend Christianson for AC needs! They take care of our two business buildings and personal property with great communication and care! Ray is our technician and not only is he a stellar man, he takes great personal pride in making sure all is working well.
My home is not even a year old and still under warranty. I have issues with high humidity readings since the get go. I have had multiple technicians come out over the and get a different explanation every time from each of them. The rep that called me Thursday to set a time up for the tech to come out yesterday (6-26/2020) was rude and condescending. He wanted to argue with me about this issue. The tech that came out yesterday spent the better part of 15 minutes here. Went in the attic and made some type of adjustment and told me if I really wanted it checked out I could opt for the 120 buck two times a year check, go figure, yet my home is still under warranty!!! The humidity in my house is currently sitting at 86% which is the highest it has been yet. I have already schedule an appointment with Radiant, who by the way had excellent customer service. I would steer clear of this company at all costs. Funny I have to be out of pocket for something that is currently under warranty and then want to charge me to have it checked which they should have done as part of the warranty repair!
These guys installed the original plumbing on my home so when I had an issue I called them for help. I feel more than fortunate to have them on my side. They are professional, kind and fair. I would highly recommend them to everyone. Thank you Christianson 🙂
You had two gentleman come out to do warranty work on out water heater today. These unprofessional individuals did NOT tell us the final cost or even estimate on what it would cost to do the work. Our home is 3 years old. We were told that the work is warranted and still under warranty. We were just hit with an invoice of $189.00?I expect an explanation of what these charges are for, and why they were not explained ahead of time before the job was completed.Never will we recommend this company to anyone!
This company has had to come to my house several times in a year and a half timeframe on my new build home. I feel like they are braking my system on purpose. They didn’t even make 3 of the claims for parts to the manufacturer when I still have WARRANTY! They just charged me. This is an overcharging company. The staff is rude. The managers don’t even call you back when you ask to speak to one. The lady in the main office, rips you off.
Excellent customer service! James, the technician who serviced our A/C unit, was amazing! James was friendly, polite, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. He listened to me about my problem, understood (and confirmed) the problem, and then set out immediately to fix it within about 10 minutes. It was a fast install and it works great. Thank you James & Christianson A/C for such quality customer service and efficient problem-solving and repair. Highly recommended!!
The company was really responsive and accommodating to my service request. The technician showed on time, diagnosed the issue accurately, solved it in an amazing time-frame, and gave us some recommendations that may help avoid future AC related problems. 10/10 recommend Chrisianson Air Coditining and Plumbing for all your AC/plumbing needs.
As usual, your technician was extremely friendly and helpful with the simple maintenance check. He even found an issue with the newly installed system. He didnt have to say anything about it (since you installed it too - he could have just fixed it and been quiet about it), but he did (a wire was knocked loose during install). Mistakes can happen but its how you handle them (with full transparency and candor) that makes us so happy to have you install and service our systems over 2 houses for the past 22 years. Thanks!
About 3 weeks ago our heater was first turned on, smoke started blowing out one of the vents and I rushed to turn it all off and check for fires in the attic! Well nothing just some bad smelling smoke inside the house but now e A/C& Blower won’t turn on. Called this company out and they had one person check out the problem. He said it needed a new Fan motor and a new ballast for a total of $1126.00.Well, being the skeptic I am I called our regular A/C folks. They sent a crew out to check it out late last week, found it needed a new fan motor, I told them about what I was willing to pay for the replacement since I did some research and we came to an agreement. They showed up yesterday, installed the fan motor new an hour; the unit did NOT need a ballast at all! Now that cost us $582.52! We saved over $600.00 and did NOT need the extra part replaced!Your call on who to call! I know I won’t be doing any business with this company at these prices…..
Unreliable and unhelpful, call Airtron instead. My AC went out on a Sunday afternoon, I called Christianson up and they said the soonest they could make it wasfirst thing Monday morning. I heard nothing back from them until about 11am on Monday and it was the tech calling saying they have been knocking on my front door and no one was answering. I go out and look and no one is at my house. The person who scheduled the service put in the wrong address. The tech said he had to cancel the ticket and move on (despite the fact that he was only about 2miles away) and that the office would call me. Their schedule person called and told me theyre re-entering my info but that I was being put at the end of the queue for that day (even though this was their mistake). Around 5pm I call again since I still hadnt heard from them (my house was now about 90⁰ inside) and I was told that my appoint would be handled anytime from 1pm to close of day, at which point I was told close of day was 5pm (about 5min from then). Finally at 6pm, I still hadnt heard from a tech or the office so I called and just canceled the visit. I have a 2 month old and a 2 year old so we needed to now leave to get a hotel because the house was way to hot for them to stay in. Clearly Christianson didnt want my business and I didnt want to give them my money.I called Airtron and they sent someone out that evening.
Over the past 7 years I ha e needed AC work 3 different times, and each time was through Christianson A/C. Recently, called on a Monday morning and had the tech at my house and my problem fixed 5 hours later. Reasonably priced too. The tech was extremely nice and courteous. This has been my usual experience with them, though depending on time of year may dictate how soon they can get out to you. I will continue to go to them for my A/C needs.
If I can give them zero start, I would. First of all, they work with my builder and install some horrible AC unit into my brand new house and basically every 6 months since we moved in, something broken: blower motor twice and thermostat once. This last time around it was the compressor. Secondly, Rose, the woman who picked up the phone, always gave me an attitude when I talked to her. Its like she doesnt want to do her job properly. What kind of customer service is this?! For this last service after the warranty, they came out only do an after hour diagnostic and charged $125. I was able to find a different AC service who did diagnostic after hours for FREE! Lastly, they were going to charge me $1200 to install the part and the other AC service guy I called later only charges 1/3 of these peoples price. Do not go with them. Take your business elsewhere. So overpriced!
They were fantastic. I had a leak in my master bathroom that I thought was coming from a totally different location than where they found. They went right to the troubled area. They used methods and techniques that I was not aware of to fix my plumbing issue quickly and for less cost than I was expecting. They certainly could have performed much more expensive and time consuming repairs and I would have never known the difference. I felt that plumber that worked on my issue was honest, reliable, and trustworthy. Those characteristics mean a lot to me. They were quick to come out to house and were very friendly while there. They were respectful of my property and left the job clean and tidy. They even went out of their way to check some other issues for me that they didnt have to do. On top of that, I have a 1 year warranty now on the work that they performed. I will certainly be calling Christianson back if I have any other plumbing issues in the future.
We have a new home and were having an issue with our blower unit. Submitted warranty and Christianson sent someone same day on a Friday. Got a follow up call on Monday morning to make sure everything was good. So far, they have impressed me.
We have used Christianson since 1982 and have ALWAYS had great experiences with them. The employees that answer the phones are extremely personable and make you feel like youve known them forever. Then the Heater Tech, Isiah, could not have been nicer. He was very respectful & immediately diagnosed our problem & fixed it & didnt leave until he was positive that it was working properly. Thank you for being upfront & prompt & friendly.
Christianson installed the AC unit in our two year old home. We’ve had multiple issues with it not heating/cooling the bedrooms properly. Each time, they told us that it’s normal for our unit not to heat/cool the bedrooms, and to use emergency heat setting in winter. Today, our two year old motor died due to the unit being too small for our home. I called them and they told me 80 degrees in the home is not bad, and normal for such a hot day. I said that it had been 80 all morning, even when it was not hot out. She said that it may be our air filters, but if I insisted, they could come look at it four days from now. I said that it is 106 out today and we have a four month old baby in the home. She told me to call someone else and hung up on me. I called someone else as suggested and the motor was replaced same day.
I called Christianson to come out and do an installation of a kitchen faucet. My faucet was clogged and inoperable but I was able to make do to avoid emergency charges. I scheduled an appointment for 4 days later (and managed all week without water in my kitchen). I arranged for someone to be in my home as I had to work on the morning of repair day. While I was in an important meeting, Christianson called me twice. When I called them back about an hour later (on my way home) they told me my appointment was canceled and that I would need to reschedule for a week later. There was no way I could wait another week for water in my kitchen. There should be a clear understanding that if you don’t answer your phone on time that your appointment will be canceled. I would’ve given them another number to call. BTW, I was so motivated by my frustration that I did this work myself that night. I will now DIY every project that I am capable of doing.
Christianson has been my go to vendor for the past 5 years whenever I need service for AC or Heat on my rental property. The latest has been a huge disappointment. I was still being charged $155 for a one week late Emergency call made a week earlier, I would have cancelled the service if they had called me before it sent its technician to my tenant ( as they said would inform us before going there , but neither I or my tenant get any notice before they decided to show up , and was told because they happened to be on the neighborhood , wow) as I have contacted other vendor for the service. And I was just told the $155 would cover ONLY the diagnosis , any repairs ) labor and material ) would be on top of that.I totally get it, Christianson could not make it last week because of the crazy winter storm, even though the road condition was not slippery when the service was booked and agreed that they would be there the next day.(Feb 14). They call the next day said they could not make it and will call me back on Feb 15. Well, that (the call) did not happen. Hence I did not expect the requested service will happen, not at least until the storm was over. On Feb 19 (Fri) , the technician showed up in the door without even informing us ( me or the tenant) - a week after the initial emergency request which I said I would have cancelled it since it was no longer an emergency and I have actually arranged other vendor since I have not heard from Christianson for a week.I will still pay the $155 for the emergency diagnosis , but Christianson has now on lost my business , I will not use them from today onwards as I think I am being taken advantages of.
A very professionally run company. We had them come out to check AC and gas heaters before we sold our Austin home. The technician was very nice, thorough. He checked everything inside and outside, and left a complete report on the conditions of the units. Weve always been confident in Christianson, and highly recommend them.
The builder contracted Christianson to install the HVAC four years ago. In the past 4 years Christianson has made 16 service calls on the unit. I am very familiar with Christiansons process and service. In that time they have replaced numerous parts including the baffle which they installed closed and it needed to be installed opened. What happens when the baffle is installed wrong upstairs is getting all the downstairs heat. Christian sends 3 different techs out who cannot figure the problem out. Techs will tell you all kinds of stories why the upstairs is hot and the downstairs is cold. Finally, the homeowner figures it out and fixes it with a screw driver and vice grips. The time the Tech stuck the screwdriver into the circuit board while power was going to the outside compressor. What happens when the tech sticks a screw driver in a circuit board under load? He blows a capacitor.Recently, my Heater stopped working on a Saturday. The weather was not too bad but cold in the morning. Called Monday morning and asked if someone could come out. Was told Wednesday was the earliest because they were busy with a lot of Maintenance Jobs. I asked if there was anything I could do because that is basically 5 days without heat. Was told I could pay the after hours fee. Went ahead and booked the appointment for Wednesday and then called Radiant. Radiant came out and fixed the issue and I switched my maintenance to them. Called Christianson to cancel the appointment and no questions asked.Bottom line Christianson is awful. The techs are inexperienced and the office staff is indifferent.
The technician John was out at my house today for an ac issue. He was very helpful; when I had questions he took the time to explain it had the wrong part, but assured me that it would get fixed today left and came back still determined to fix it for me and my family. thank u
I’ve had less than stellar experiences with these folks years back, but my experience with Travis today showed me that they are working to make things better as a business and for their customers. Travis was clear and upfront about the cost of service and how long the job would take, and was a hard worker. He went above and beyond to make good use of his time on site and make sure he addressed all my concerns. I feel really good about the service I received from Christianson today.
I cannot say enough positive things about my service tech! He not only takes care of the service call, but he also explains what happened that day, so that I understand exactly what is happening while he is working. Having him come to my house is like having a trusted friend come to do some work around the house with me. The people at the office are always friendly and find time to fit me into their busy schedule.
I had great experience from this company thus far, used them in several occasions before. Needed a HVAC system replaced, I did call several companies for their quotes and Christianson won my business. The installation crew was in my house for a little over 2 hrs, they removed the old HVAC system and installed a new one.cleaned all there work area, cleaned everything in the attic. Very professional.after installation was done, they spend the time to explain everything, specially making emphasis on filling out the manufacturers warranty information online to get the additional warranty.it has beed two weeks and the AC is working fine.
We are just starting our 3rd year of a 5 year warranty. We ended up paying $240 for a 10 minute service call to replace a $15 part. Absolutely ridiculous! What good is our warranty??? I was also very disappointed with the customer service from both the woman I spoke to on the phone and the man that came to make the repair. This is not ok. Do not recommend.
A/C unit was having persistent issues this summer starting in July. Christianson was the 3rd HVAC company to come out and the first to… A. Actually resolve the issue and get our house back to feeling normal during this ridiculously hot summer. B. Explain everything from addressing my initial concerns and questions, what one of the previous companies did wrong, what the issues were, and what they had to do to fix it.Chad did an excellent job with all of the above and Jordan was a huge help. A thank you to Kurt for the initial call and conversation.
My AC is not working in this Texas heat & this company does not know when can they fix the issue. I told that it is an EMERGENCY in this weather. My kids are suffering because of this & the person on call said they CAN NOT do anything. This is not acceptable. What is the point of warranty? Why bother keeping a phone line/voice mail box when the person on the other side say that they CAN NOT help the customer. I wish I could give negative stars to Christianson. I was not answered back even in business hours. WORST!!
Updated 11-17-2021 Tech 2160I always thought this was a great company to go but I was wrong this time. Its one thing to be expensive, but its another to be dishonest. This blue wire was loose on the Digital Ventilation Controller. I had told the Tech because of the wire being loose this is the reason why it wasnt working but he ensured me that wasnt the case that the blue wire had nothing to do with this control. I had to replace the whole unit for $500, but I had one in stock in my house and I asked them to replace it of course he charged me 120. When he replaced the Digital Ventilation Controller of course he use the blue wire to make it work. Where he told me that the blue wire didnt have nothing to do with the Digital Ventilation Controller but he was lying. I went ahead and exchange the old Digital Ventilation Controller back and it was working. Originally I had gave them a 4 star for the good customer service but now I had to drop because the tech was dishonest. I even confronted the tech about the blue wire and he keeps telling me that he didnt have to use it. lies after lies. They were expensive. They charged me 425 plus tax. This was parts and labor. Overall the company was excellent.
We had a new tech come out - Stephen - and he was great! He was thorough, professionally dressed, told me what was going on and did the work quickly. I called Christianson Thurs after hours and left a message; they called me back Friday morning at 710 and Stephen was here at 8:20. He fixed our problem and everything is great now. While we are long-time customers, its nice to have a company treat you with a sense of urgency and importance. Thanks Christianson!
Our AC unit stopped working last evening....I called Christianson hoping to just leave a message to get in line for repair. Not only did I get a human on the line but was told that someone could come to my home this morning! A very nice man, Stephen, cam out about 8:30 and quickly diagnosed the problem, put a new part in, and our system was restored and started working properly. This was OUTSTANDING customer service in an era where all contractors are super busy. We so appreciate Christianson taking care of us so quickly and so professionally.
Responded quickly and came out even faster to repair my veteran friends a/c. Complete warranty repair, no money out of pocket
Theres a reason this place has 3 star average reviews. They have no idea how to service customers properly. I paid them for a simple toilet fix in a new house and its still broken. I wouldnt give them one red cent. They dont honor their work and rub your warranty information in your face. There are great plumbers in Austin, call Reliant Plumbing. Theyre amazing and honor their work.
Technician arrived 4 hours after scheduled arrival. Stated I had 5 burners out on furnace and need a replacement for 6500k. I had two separate companies inspect and both found that all burners worked, but had a fuse needing replacement. Called the office and supervisor has yet to return my call or refund my service call. Spoke to Rose and got the run around. Dishonest technicians that dont know there craft, and a company that could care less for quality of service.
We used Christianson to replace our AC/Heating system and all of the duct work in our home. Our original system was plumbed in such a way that the front half of our home was always 10-15 degrees too warm (summer) or too cold (winter). Not only did Christianson give us a fair price on converting our old package unit into a split system with the AC condenser outside and the gas heater in the attic, but they also gave an incredibly reasonable price to re-plumb all of the ducting in the attic and create 3 new vents and an additional return. We worked with the plumbing side of Christianson to reroute the gas in to the attic and were very pleased with the work, efficiency, and cost. Stephen Doepke was the project manager on the AC project and was excellent in communicating with me, explaining all of the ins/outs of this project, as well as helping me to keep our extra costs (roofing, electric, plumbing) clear and within out budget. We finally made it through a summer in this home without needing to add a window unit and we are thrilled! Highly recommend Christianson and Stephen!
I called for simple maintenance check, AC and Heater. They stated those were 2 separate dates/techs which was fine . Heater maintenance was done but been waiting several weeks for the AC guy to show up. Finally called and they said that I had to call in to schedule a separate call for AC maintenance. Not what I was told before. Now soonest service call for simple AC maintenance check is yet a month away. Poor follow up and Customer Service. Will never use Christianson again.
Whatever you decide, dont use Christianson Air Conditioning. My AC was not cooling, after they checked it they said that it needed freon, that they didnt know if there was a leak but that they would charge me an extra $90 if I wanted to know, but that most likely, if there was a leak it wouldnt be fixable anyway, so it was pointless to check that then. So I paid them for 1 lb of freon plus the service fee ($200 total). 24 hrs later and that nothing had changed I called them again and they said that they would send someone until the next day (two days later) but that I had to pay them again the service fee if they would find that it needed more freon!! Even though they said they couldnt give me a warranty on how long the freon would last, I was expecting that at least it would last a year, the summer or a week... but for it to not work even on that same day?? They supposed to be the experts, they didnt provide any advice, I was willing to pay the extra fee for them to check if there was a leak or not, but they talked me against it, and when I call them back they said that they charged me for telling me it needed freon, and for the freon only... I feel they are not professionals then, they are only fee collectors... what a shame!UPDATE: Like I mentioned before, I was willing to pay for them to check if there was a leak, but they made it seem like it was not worth it, even when I called back the next day, the lady on the phone said that it was a 3 area thing to search and each one had a fee, so it sounded like a never ending cost $$$, and that she was not sending anyone till next day.4 days after this bad experience, I called other AC company for a bid on a fully replacement of the AC unit, they came right away, and they not only provided the free estimate but they also checked the unit on their own will and found out the the freon was still there (not leaking after 4 days), checked the unit on the attic and found out that the FAN CAPACITOR was not working, without me asking this, they replaced that capacitor in the attic!! they didnt charged me anything for that and left the AC working, they said that they didnt know how long would it last but that at least I was able to cool my house and have enough time to check on replacing the unit!!! Now that is COSTUMER SERVICE!!My mayor complain was not that the job Christinason did was not helping, but that they were not interested in helping me at all, not even after they took my $200 for nothing, they were only interested in charging extra fees to come back and to find a leak and leaving me and my family hanging with the problem in a very hot season. Guess who is earning my business for now on?
Beware! Lets file a complaint against these bullies. DR Horton use them so they are lucky in that sense, new homeowners have to call them for service, tell you the system is under warranty, but if there is actually something wrong they will tell you the heat is normal for Texas climate. Yeah there is that keeping 20degrees difference to avoid AC overwork. I called another company the next day because I couldnt believe that 84 degrees is normal and that the AC cannot handle the heat and the small house, I have a bigger house in another city and it has been cooling ok with the same type of AC, sure enough there was a deffective part, parts are under warranty for 5 years. Imagine they charge you $119 right away to come and check and pretend they actually check. The tech said I needed a bigger system in the attic and install ceiling fans. The other company squeezed me in the sched came 10pm, detected the issue in one looking and fixed the problem in 15mins. We slept in 70degree room, that night. I will file a complaint to the TX ATTY GENERAL. It is not right to deny warranty, we are homeowners, esp the bully manager Kurt. We all should file a complaint to the ATTY GENERAL consumer protection division or even file a class action lawsuit. We bought a new house, it should get the warranty as promised.
Had a gas leak at our new furnace they installed. Called them multiple times and never got a call back. Good thing we noticed before needing to turn the heater on.Finally called another company to fix the issue. I was told they didn’t use any pipe dope and only hand tighten the pipe as well as under sized my system for the size house I have...
Our technician Chad was wonderful. We found ourselves in quite a bad situation and he was so understanding and compassionate toward us. He listened to us and put us at ease. And Christianson took such good care of us. We are so grateful. They could have easily charged us so much more and instead you helped us out tremendously.
Appalled!Christianson was the plumber used by our builder so they did all plumbing, hot water heaters, back flow valves etc. We moved in in Dec. 2019. Now our hot water heater is out. It took 10 days to get on their schedule. Once they were here, they could not fix it. They are the ones who provided and installed the AO Smith unit in our house. I was told they install them but dont repair many of them. The came back 3 times with different parts and were unable to get it going. By then I had reached out to Jerry-(service manager at Christianson) and the manufacturer (AO Smith)of the hot water heater. AO Smith said they were concerned that Christianson was not able to fix it. They wanted to send their own tech out to look at it. He came the next day and was able to fix it. He then wrote a report and sent it to Christianson. Jerry from Christianson called us the next day and was extremely RUDE and mad at what AO Smith said in their report.Jerry told us not to call them(Christianson) to service our plumbing again.Wow! Maybe if they knew how to service the products they sell, we wouldnt be in this situation!
Christianson AC and Plumbing installed a new AC and furnace in our home last week. Everything from the information provided by the sales rep to installation was done with the utmost professionalism. We have a 70+ year old house with the AC/furnace located in the attic. The installation team removed the old equipment and carried the new equipment up the attic ladder for the installation. The entire job was done on time and with great attention to detail by the installation team. The sales representative also helped me size the AC unit correctly for the square footage of out house and to qualify for an Austin Energy rebate. All of this and the system was less expensive than several other vendors.
Our A/C wasnt turning on so Juan came out to check what was wrong. Come to find out it was just the drain pipe that was clogged and it didnt allow the unit to turn on. Easy fix and he did maintenance on the outside unit. Very professional and informative. Im the tenant and the homeowner is Philip
They are extremely professional and very good. Jeff came and looked at issue realised it was replacement and just charged me for that and no additional fees. Super efficient and fast. Thanks so much Jeff for your help. Much appreciated.
THE WORST COMPANY!!! STAY AWAY!!!! If I could give them zero stars I would. Dealing with Christianson has been nothing but problems!! It all started last week when our AC wasnt working as efficiently as it once was. They diagnosed it as a bad evaporator coil. They told us it wasnt in stock and they would have to order it. We asked the man about the time for the product to come in and he couldnt give us an answer. He told us we would need to keep the AC off until the part came in. The lack of answers didnt sit well with me so I decided to call the main number. The lady in the parts department assured me they had a part IN STOCK and she scheduled for us to have it installed the very next day. We expressed our frustrations with her because the repair man who came out to diagnose it clearly just wanted to complete his day, get onto the next call and be done without properly taking the time to repair it when the part was ON HAND. Well, fast forward 24 hours and after we paid for a hotel room in town, because we have a young daughter and it go into the high 90s during the heat of the day, he came back and installed it. He was in and out in under 45 minutes. I thought that was ridiculously quick but me not being the AC professional, I thought maybe he was just an expert and did it enough where it didnt take much time---WRONG!!!! Two days later we notice our ceiling has a foot long water mark on it. My husband went into the attack (Where our HVAC system is located) and noticed ALL THE TRASH LEFT BEHIND FROM THE REPAIR MAN!!! He left old parts, boxes from the new parts, all the cardboard thrown about in our attic. I get it, its an attic not a living room, but this is just the beginning of his lack of care or attention to detail not to mention just plain RUDE!!!! Upon further inspection we noticed the drip pan under our HVAC system has about a half inch of water under it. We believe they once again didnt take the time or care to put together the water line when done with replacing our evaporator coil. My husband attached the two lines but we called to have someone come back out as it SHOULDNT BE OUR JOB TO FIX PROFESSIONALS LACK OF CARE. They said the soonest they can get us in is very late the next afternoon. After being rather frank with the operator I let her know that we should not have to deal with a leak coming through our ceiling not to mention cleaning up after their repairmen when we have paid and trusted them to do a job well done the FIRST (a $700 job at that) Isnt that the reason we call professionals???? She agreed and said she would fit us in that evening...needless to say they never showed back up. All in all, save yourself the headache and money and go with a company who is TRUE professionals and take pride in their work and value their job (ie: serving us their customer) It has been nothing but problems and headaches dealing with these rude and careless workers.
I called in the morning and they were able to send someone out that afternoon, and it wasnt even an emergency situation. The service guy was very nice, professional and solved our problem quickly! Weve used Christianson over the years and have always had great service.
We have used Christianson services for our air conditioners for about 12 years and have found their service repairmen to be knowledgeable, honest, speedy, and personable. We have maintained an annual contract with them for twice yearly preventative service, and their response to even emergency situations (e.g. no heat in winter) has been swift and effective. Christiansons prices are good. They install quality equipment, and the service contract provides a good discount. We had one incident with a drip pan leak that they are making good on, including a free service call - and that is the only reason for the less than 5 star rating. We recommend Christianson.
I hate even giving them one star. They are the mandated company for our house, which is two years old. When we first moved in, the AC was not functioning properly. We had to call them MULTIPLE times before someone came out who knew what was going on. The first 2-3 repair people just said its working fine. which it most certainly was not, as the last guy pointed out. We are now one month away from our warranty expiration and here we are again. Its 80 something in the house and thermostat was set at 74/75.So, the conversation yesterday when you called the emergency line went something like this: Our AC isnt working. Its 100+ degrees outside, super hot in the house. They said no one is available to come out today. So, were thinking, well, were relatively healthy in our 40s people, maybe an emergency isnt us. But seriously, its an emergency and we should have pushed the issue yesterday.SO, we had arranged for a repair person today after 12N... its now 5pm and no repair guy in sight. You can keep calling them and they change the number of calls the person has before you. They told my husband we were the next call, but when our home building company called them, it was finish the call they are on, make one more call, and THEN us. I wonder what the real answer is? And what happens if they cant fix it? Who pays for our hotel and the vet bills for our pets? So, they are awful and when this warranty is up, we will find a new AC company to work with. We are responsible home owners who pay our bills and we deserve much better service than this company is providing.
Avoid their plumbing services at all costs. Since plumbing repairs always need to be timely, even for non-emergency events, since youre inevitably waiting for a day or two before they can arrive, they take great pride in price gouging by inevitably requiring a two man crew to do practically anything. This has happened to me two or three times, and the second man sits and watches the first 99.9% of the time on site, doing nothing of note but inflating the bill. Replacing a water heater under warranty is costing more than the original installation of a new unit 4 years ago. Never again.
After two visits and unable to repair our unit. They blatantly refused to come out to service and look more into the issue. Their inability to repair is one thing. But the phone operator Rose dismissing my service request though she is not the personnel coming out to do the work proves poor customer service. I will let it be known that this company is not the 4 star they claim to be.
I wont be calling Christianson anymore.I moved into my new home about a year ago and recently noticed that our upstairs was about 8-10 degrees warmer than the downstairs. I did some research online and came to the conclusion that the upstairs damper was stuck closed and perhaps even the downstairs damper was stuck open. The first technician that they sent out forced open the closed upstairs damper but it didnt seem to help at all and all he said was your house is too big and there are too many registers. That doesnt explain no air coming out upstairs and a lot of air coming out downstairs. Finally, the second tech came out to replace the dampers and motors. While testing to ensure that the dampers were opening and closing properly, I mentioned to him multiple times that the amount of air coming out of the registers downstairs didnt seem right now. It was basically the opposite of my previous problem. He just puts his hand in front of the register and says its fine and again with the your house is too big argument and rushes out.I had some people over a couple of days later and the temperature downstairs starts crawling up... 78, 79, 80, 81... and people are complaining. I decided to give them a call again to check out whats going on. Before the scheduled appointment I had a friend who works in HVAC come out and assess the situation. He mentions that its probably a combination of leaks and the downstairs damper stuck even though it was just replaced. He helps me by patching some of the leaks and said it may help a little but that I should have them come correct the work from the previous service. The same tech from the second time came out and I told him what was going on. He immediately comes back and says did you put some sealant around the damper motors? and I said I had a friend over who sealed up some leaks. Immediately he rolls his eyes at me and says thats why its not working. I reply with No, it wasnt working before that. He removes some of the sealant that was applied and after checking the registers, theres still no air coming out. After a back a forth he decides to go out and get some more equipment to see whats going on. I decide to go up in the attic with him because I know thats not what the problem was. I just stand there and watch him fidgiting with the damper motor wires connected to the control panel and what do you know... It starts working...Finally after 3 weeks its all back to normal.Your techs really need to stop acting like they know everything and start listening to customers. I asked for a different tech the third time and they sent the same one. Good luck with your business, but I wont be reaching out for help from you again.
Received a call when the tech was headed our way and the tech, Jeff, called when he arrived. He greeted us pleasantly and got started right away. I have great confidence in his ability. He was friendly, professional, and tidy. The service department is very organized. Christianson is my HVAC Company!
When the power came back on after Snowmagedon 21 my HVAC wouldnt work correctly - I could feel heat/cold at the vents but it wouldnt blow out. My Home Warranty service sent another company, but very quickly it was obvious my HVAC was far too complicated for the Other Guy. He spent an enormous amount of time bad-mouthing Christianson (who installed the system 2yrs ago), claiming they screwed you & the unit is undersized for your house, the unit doesnt have a heat pump and will NEVER heat your house. When I asked him if his statements were true then why had the unit worked perfectly well for the last several years, instead of just admitting he didnt know how to work on my HVAC like a professional, he just kept circling back to blaming Christianson & the low temperatures during the storm, though he couldnt explain why he couldnt make it work when the temperature was 80 degrees outside (!??!!). Needless to say he left quickly, but not before switching the AC and heater wires, and wanting payment. So while the Other Guy was still here I called & made an appointment with Christianson. They came out within (1) business day, switched the heater and AC wires back, and reset the unit. TADA, it was fixed - heat and AC!!! Christiansons Tech explained the whole issue in detail, (FYI Other Guy: Apparently resetting a unit is common after a power outage.), repaired what the Other Guy screwed up, and was in and out within 15 mins. Its wonderful to work with a company that has real experts in the field. Thank you guys!
I called them to replace the capacitor because AC was not cooling. They said it would be about $100 (service charge + labor) but that the part was still covered under the 5 year warranty. When the AC tech arrived he said he didnt have the warrantied part with him and I had to pay $130 for an upgraded capacitor or wait a day for them to order the original capacitor. A little honesty up front would go a long way.
Just signed up for the yearly furnace & AC check up twice a year they come to your house in the spring to check your AC and in the fall to check the furnace. Very professional first service, I will like to quote that this is the first service. As I read through the reviews on their business in google, it seems like playing blackjack. if you are lucky, you may get good service. Well, I have to say that the service was NOT exactly what the service person on the phone advertised but close enough. worth the amount I paid? well there are other companies out there that quoted higher, some quoted lower, but Christianson Air Conditioning is large enough to stand behind their service and I will not hesitate to be a pain in their backside if the service is not what they advertised.
They installed the HVAC in our house. It is the worst mess of being imbalanced as there is a 10 degree difference from once side of the house to the next. Had another HVAC person come and look at it and said it was so imbalanced he did not want to get involved with it. Have to have the unit run constantly to cool our bedroom causing it to shut down twice. They came and refilled the coolant once and then when asked to balance it, the person opened and closed some vents in the house that we had already tried. We told him it wouldn’t help but they assured us it would. When it did absolutely nothing they still refuse to come fix their huge mistake. Whatever you do do not use them. Do not let your builder use them, you will be sorry you did. We have a high end home with a window unit stuck in the window. If they ever fix the mistake I will be happy to change my review, but as long as you see this up, it means they haven’t yet.
We have been using Christianson for A/C maintenance for years, this year however 3 weeks after having our routine maintenance completed (and we were warned the coil had a leak) the coil went out. We were due to go on vacation the next day and we couldnt leave the dogs and dog sitter in the heat of a none A/C house for 2 weeks! They were able to get a person out to confirm the coil was bad, initially telling me it would be 4 days before they could get it repaired (it was 4th of July weekend!). Not 5 min. after the service man left, a crew called and said they had finished early and even though it was Friday, they had time to come out and do the repairs! So thankful for those guys being willing to work one more job so we could go on vacation at ease, knowing our critters would be ok in the Texas heat! Thank you!
Two well-regarded companies said they couldn’t do any plumbing work for us without a whole-house re-piping first. We were referred to Christianson, whose employees John and Seth—nice guys!—had the right tools and parts. They replaced our hot water heaters (heroic work in the attic in Austin’s summer heat), but equally or more important, Jerry—at our request—installed a “loop” with shut-off valves and then a Flow By Moen leak detection apparatus, so we can rest easier about our whole system. We had a minor issue after the water heater installation, and Christianson’s not only came out and solved it promptly, but also taught us how to safeguard against that kind of calcium-related issue ourselves in future.
If you find a reliable, honest HVAC company, stick with them. Christianson is one of those companies, and I wont call anyone else for service or repairs. When our AC went out in the middle of the summer (and I was 8 months pregnant), they managed to get a whole new system installed within 24 hours - and at a very competitive price. They always send the same tech to do service calls, so you get someone who knows your system, and who you can trust. I highly recommend this company for all your HVAC needs.
My technician, Robert, was courteous and thorough in his investigation of my AC issue and immediately diagnosed the issue. He explained in detail to me what the issue was, sought my approval on the fix and implemented the solution swiftly. My home began cooling immediately and I’m so pleased.
I agree with a previous post and hate to give them even 1 star. I bought a brand new DR Horton home in 2015. Our expansion tank fitting cracked on our water heater spewing water all over our garage. We called their emergency number and was told that they would charge us $150 for the first 30 minutes of the service call and an additional $1.65 per minute for them to fix it...its a $3 part...they installed the product, gave a warranty for the product, has a HUGE contract with DR Horton, and you charge an enormous amount of to fix an issue created by...your installation? I would NOT recommend his company as honorable or the quality of their products. Choose a different company when you build your home. I will be contacting my builder.
Christianson sent a Plummer to my elderly mothers house to check on a leak she had. The Plummer barely looked around and claimed the leak was coming from the AC unit that was located in the attic and scheduled an AC tech to come out. One was not available for 4 days which means she would be without water for 4 days since it had to be cut off to stop the leak. Once she informed me of this I called Christianson on her behalf. Her AC unit is not in her attic. I had another AC company come out the same day and was told that the leak was in the wall and was not an AC issue. Christianson refused to send the Plummer back out to check again and said she had to wait for the AC tech which would be in 4 days. This is unacceptable when she already paid the $150 free for the Plummer to come out. I canceled the appointment and called anther Plumbing company that could come out the same day.
On July 25, 2022. HVAC Technician Johnny repaired A/C. The technician was professional and courteous. Thanks for everything. My family appreciates the unit being repaired. Thanks to everyone. Sabrina, Rose and the answering service personnel are also courteous. We miss Windy at Christianson A/C and Plumbing.
After having no hot water and water leaking from top of water heater on a cold Saturday morning I called Christianson! I spoke with Teresa who calmed me down and answered all my questions and dispatched the plumbers, Teresa also went above and beyond by making a house call and had her husband turn the water valve off for me! I can’t thank them enough, Teresa you are an asset to this company! The plumber (Matt) and his helper showed up ready to assess the problem and got right to work by replacing my old water heater! He explained every step and cleaned up afterwards. Great job guys! All of you deserve a huge Kudos! Keep up the great work Christianson! Merry Christmas 🎄
My house is less than 4 years old and have had to have the A/C repair come out 6 times. Quality product is not what this company provides. Outrages labor rates, too. On a previous visit they had to replace my damper that lasted over three years with a new and better $500 damper that lasted less than 5 months. I called them and while the part is warrantied for a year the expensive labor is not, only 90 days. Really? So obviously the company has no confidence in the products they provide, they know it is going to fail so they are going to get their pound on flesh any way they can.In regards to my water heater a key component failed, while it was covered under warranty and it took the tech only 10 minutes to repair, I got charged $90.This company is a ripoff with low-grade support.
I cannot be happier with the emergency phone support provided by Curt (sp?) this morning. Our home air conditioner was not working properly and Curt stepped me through a troubleshooting process that determined the capacitor probably needed to be replaced. I went to a local air conditioner repair shop with my old part and was able to replace it, saving a service call and getting the house back to normal. THANK YOU for the excellent phone support!Martin
My original faith in Christianson Plumbing has been restored. After a scheduling mishap, Jerry called me and absolutely made things right, he not only fixed what was incorrect but patched some holes for me out of sheer kindness. He went above and beyond...the kind of service Id always had from Christianson for many years. THANK YOU, Jerry, for taking care of my home and issues needing repair.
Joe is one of the best hvac tech I’ve had the pleasure work in my home. Very knowledgeable he installed a Rem- Halo in my home without a problem. Before I called other techs and they didn’t even have an idea what a REM-Halo even was. Anyway great job by Joe.
Untrained/incompetent technicians who are unable to diagnose nor fix the problem. Beware of service fees, and upselling, even for items under warranty. Had multiple service calls and still no resolution to issues. Trust the negative reviews, AC never worked day 1 and incorrectly wired. Customer service makes you feel terrible for even calling them. I question these 4/5 star reviews.
B.S. company. Was told I would pay 1 fee, it was 70 to diagnose and take off bad part. Yet they wanted to charge me 120 to put the damn part back on ??? Then told me they dont charge a trip fee for the 2nd guy to come back out with the part. I then asked him why was it $50 more to put the part on when you already know the issue. He said it was to process the warranty work . Yea what the F ever, that takes less time then finding the damn problem in the first place ! Horrible company ! They just move fees around to call them what they want. Amazing that my warranty work was payed for yet I had to pay 190 to get the problem figured out and installed. Would hate to see the cost of any other work....would not recommend them and sad they cover my warranty work.
Company is highly professional on time and knowledgeable. Highly recommended. Also, I wish I could give double the 5 stars to Mr. Chad. He was on time, eager to get started and answered all my questions. His work is top notch and has always been since he has been servicing our machines. I highly recommend him for any HVAC needs and I would like his superiors to take note an acknowledge superior job performance. Thank you for your service, Mr. Chad!!New!!! I have been using Christiansons HVAC and Plumbing for many years as a CAMP member. I have found their professionalism to be second to none. The techs always call before they depart to my residence for the appointment. . They are well - trained and will answer any customer questions as best they can. Recently I had the pleasure to receive Jose Chavez as my new assigned tech. Jose was courteous, friendly, and helpful. I highly recommend him as an HVAC technician. Thank you, Christiansons for 5 star service and more!!!
Got us back up and running as quickly as they could. Took a couple of trips, but system was having multiple failures and we called for weekend help so parts had to be ordered and arrived the following Monday. Everything running like a champ now!
The person on the phone was totally rude.Right away wanted more money from a job they did for us 6 years ago.And did not try at all to help me in any way.All she kept saying was its going to cost more no matter what.I was willing to pay whatever regardless but with how rude this woman was I didnt even think twice. She literally lost business and money for their company. I really hope corporate reads these.
Beware of Christianson AC. My AC went out on Friday night, I called them first thing Saturday morning to replace the capacitor because AC was not cooling. I knew it was the capacitor because they had just replaced it last summer when my unit was under parts and labor warranty. They called be back and said it would be $103 service charge but that part was still covered under the 5 year warranty. When the AC tech arrived he said he didnt have the warrantied part with him and wanted to charge me $240 for an upgraded part + service call to fix it now or wait until Monday.I had a local company make the repairs and I was informed that the capacitor that Christianson put on my AC last summer was far to small for the 5 ton unit.I posted my story on my HOA facebook and found out several of my neighbors had similar issues with this company. One neighbor even paid over $1000 to repair AC that was under the 5 year parts warranty. This company will try to nickle and dime you if you let them.
We had problem with water heater and called them for service since they were the one who did plumbing for our house(during construction from the builder). Ours is a brand new construction which is little over two years old now. I was told they would charge $89 for first 30 min and then per minute and then $1.65 for each additional minute. I agreed to that but in the final bill they even charged for helper additional $27. When I called them they said they would let me know when the service man returns to office the next day and they never called me after that. we have plumbing problems in our house like 3 times now (in two years). I feel cheated and wont use them again.
I recently built a house and closed over a year ago. My heater was acting up and I decided to call Christianson since they installed the system. They came out and figured out the issue quickly. There was a fitting that wasnt tightened properly when it was installed and allowed the system to leak all the puron out. Since my system was out of warranty for labor and warranty doesnt cover puron I was nervous about having to pay for $50 per pound of puron. I ended up needing 8 pounds. ROBERT made one phone call and got everything covered under warranty even though I had no warranty. They could have easily made an excuse why this could have happened but they didnt. Yes they may have made a mistake when it was installed but every company run by humans makes mistakes, its how they fix them that makes the company who they are. And, Christianson is a stand up company.
Had my maintenace done on our HVAc system and discovered we needed a new blower. It was done professionally, on time and by an expert. Had a clogged drain and they also came out to fix that. We have been very please with Christiansons service and will continue to use them.
Highly Recommend Christianson for HVAC system needs. They installed a system in 2017 and came out for a maintenance servicing and cleaning. Their technician was professional and knowledgeable.
We worked with Rich and Trey. Guys were fantastic, came in found the problem, repaired it all with all the due dilligence, positivity and a jolly attitude. The issue was major but they were through and were masters of their trade.
He was quick - I have used them for the last two years and am satisfied with their services. The price is good for what they do. I would recommend
I came home to a warm house after being in the hospital, I had suffered a heart attack a few days prior. After the dispatcher learned of my situation, he immediately spoke to his supervisor and had a tech dispatched within a few hours instead of the next day. Luis arrived and resolved the issue quickly.
1 year ago I spent 10,000 on a new AC. they came in and left hardly speaking to me. I was not even sure what was done or how to operate my new AC.Not one word from them after they cashed my check. Now a year later I called because things dont seem right with my unit and the lady (to bad I did not get her name) made me feel like crap when I asked her why they had not followed up with their work and that it should have been up to me to follow up with them. I disagree. I bought a new car the other week and they have called at least twice to see if I was alright. Spend your money elsewhere.
They are solid and honored a poor install by fixing. But sometimes very hard to get work done (we are waiting for them to get back to us to schedule an install...cant figure why they wont take our $?) so... Good honest work, tho.
Brand new home can’t get it cool they tell me 76 is acceptable for cool . Home has 60-76 % humidity level all the time if we don’t run 2 dehumidifiers 24/7 . Three visits last year same result . Called 2times so far this season and have yet to receive a call back ..Very disappointed in this company .
This is the worst experience I have ever had with a vendor. I have had a plumbing leak due to an admitted faulty installation. They refuse to repair their leak due to a dispute with the builder over change orders. They have cost me $800 in wasted water due to their leak at their hook up to the meter and wont come address this until their builder issues are resolved. I have filed complaints with the BBB and the State Board of Plumbing Examiners. Avoid at all costs.
Showed up late and then told me they would have to remove the entire tub and tile to fix the drain plunger for which the handle fell off. Another plumber was called in from AAA Auger and had the problem fixed in less than 5 minutes, without tearing out the entire tub.
Jordan was very professional. Did the check up as expected from an expert, explaining key points to me. Found no issues and called it as it is. Did not try to upsell anything. This is a good first experience for me with Christianson.
I just got a new house from KB Home, Christianson did the AC units on the house. On the day I closed on the house, the AC was not working. I am unsure if it ever worked. When I called for repair they were all booked up. This is troubling on so many levels. I have called another local AC company (Stans) who was able to make a nearly immediate appointment.
Good experiences with the technicians that have come out to repair my A/C. Maybe because I watch them begin their work and then ask questions after they are finished. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because nobody is perfect. On another note: Ive dealt with ChristianSON for over 5 years and I STILL get their name confused with another company with a very similar name. Thank goodness the other company changed their name this summer! Maybe some of the negative reviews Ive been reading really belong to the OTHER company. Hmm, just a thought.
I am really impressed with the service we received. I couldnt believe that they were able to complete the repair the same day that I called. Our technician was very friendly and professional.
These a holes called me in the morning and confirmed a 9-12 appointment only to not show and lie about my morning appointment when they were 1 hour late. They told me I was wrong about them giving me a morning appointment. Now, after reading the spot on bad reviews, Im convinced. A bunch of liars and crooks.
I have been with Christianson for many years, and I couldn’t be more satisfied. They are professional and honest. Always great experiences.
Jeff with Christianson Plumbing was excellent. He removed 15 feet of grout that our horrible contractor washed down the lines. Amazing work! We highly recommend them.
Casey with Christianson really came through for us and sent his guys to fix our sewer line for an amazing price. We are so grateful
They installed the water heater in our new home 3 years ago. Improper installation has caused it to first leak then go out completely. I am not sure how they stay in business. I guess they have contracts with builders. I am going to complain to DR Horton.
They quickly came out to our home, identified and repaired an issue for a reasonable cost. Ac is worting fine now.
The people that are hired to work for this company are not qualified to do the job right the first time.Lack of knowledge and ability to perform a correct diagnostic. No manners or ethics. I honestly dont know how this company is still in business, you get better service at a car wash.
Dishonest company. Bait and switch tactics with pricing, unprofessional, had to come back 4 times for the same problem and was charged for each. YOUR GUESS IS AS GOOD AS THEIRS WHEN IT COMES TO DIAGNOSTICS. I wish Id read the reviews first...
I just want to thank Kirt, on a great customer service along with helping me with my thermostat. I highly recommend this company because they have great customer service and professional technicians. Thank you again Kirt.Happy holidays..Mr.B
Yes you do CARE as demonstrated by Allie who took our request and James M who came out and took care of us. This explains why we have used y’all for the past 13+ years.
The extended service is a rip off! These people charge you close to $500 to provide extended service on my a/c and still want me to pay them to come out and if there’s anything wrong with your a/c that’s an additional fee! Please go elsewhere with your business!
In called early in the morning nd they were able to come the same day shortly after 12pm. service was great and fast.
I am part of their bi-annual HVAC system check-up and love it. The employees are always very professional, nice and thorough. I highly recommend them.
Replaced my RPZ that autofills my pool. Guy was awesome. Even called me back following week to make sure I had taken measures to protect w/ freezing weather coming .
They dont care even if you have kids in the house with a faulty heater! The dispatcher was very rude! She wanted me to wait for 5days that also ran into the weekend so they get paid emergency fees! THIEVES!!!
Christianson has been servicing our office needs for years. We have been very happy with the service. Even when we have encountered service issues, they have always striven to make things right. I would definitely recommend them.
Always a great experience! Stephen is always kind and courteous and takes great care of us! I wouldn’t even think of calling anyone else for our A/C needs!
The service technician was courteous and efficient. Arrival was on time. He explained what he had done, then told me the status of my unit.
Chad was great. Highly recommend him for any HVAC service you might need. We enjoy working with the entire staff.
Called at 6:30 PM and it was 88 degrees and getting hotter. Luis Varela of Christianson AC and plumbing came out and had cool air coming out inno time. Great job.
Came out the next day to fix a/c. Quickly and very reasonable price wise.
I bought a brand new house that they did the plumbing and electrical work. They have had to come back out at least 6 times to fix issues I have had. Now that the warranty is up Im sol on the problems Ive been having
Really friendly customer service, every technician that came by was top tier, highly recommend these folks.
I have been in the HVAC business for the past 25 years and Ive seen a lot my wife and I have decided to build a home at 104 speckle Park in Star Ranch in Hutto I went to inspect the HVAC that was installed by your company and I must say what an awesome job everything look proper up to code and they did not skimp on the duct system proper sizing for proper air flow I look forward 2 using my AC equipment when I move into my new home so give the installer is a pat on the back for doing such a good job they deserve it I know its hard to get a good rating in this business but when one is deserved it needs to be given once again thank you for doing such an excellent job and being a excellent Service Company our area needs more like yours
Great service by the team. They even took their time to teach us some basic maintenance actions we can do ourselves to maintain the unit. Outstanding service!!!
Have used Christianson forever. Went to school with several members of this family years ago. They are great to work with. Special people -Rose & Mario! Thanks guys!!
These guys have taken care of my home AC and a couple of plumbing issues for the past 17 years. I have no complaints.
Horrible. How water heater installed by them 3 years ago was pouring water out into the house. First off, these things should last 10 years. Secondally, I called and they said they were booked up even though water was pouring into the house.
Techs were very professional and courteous. Checked AC systemearlier this year and heating this winter with no problems found.
Stephen was awesome. Everything was clearly explained, he was efficient, and he made all necessary precautions (masks, gloves, and so on) to protect himself and others.
I would give more than a 5 star rating if I could. My builder used them for plumbing, I have been very happy with their service.
Very helpful and understanding from the beginning of the process. The women were very kind. The guy knew exactly what he was doing and solved the issue within 30 minutes.
We have utilized Christian Bros. HVAC and plumbing services for many years. They are always professional, reliable, reasonable, responsive and honorable.
Steven was very courteous, knowledgeable and helpful when servicing my A/C and changing all my filters.
Very quick and friendly turnaround time. From sending a service request via online to showing up at scheduled time to repair issue👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
My technician was on time. He Fixed the issue quickly & Advised on how to resolve the issue if it happens again. Would reccomend.
They did the plumbing on our house when it was built and we can them when we need a repair. Always great work at a fair price.
The best company for plumbing or AC work. Down to earth. Zero stupid TV commercials..Thanks for years of service!
Steve and Justin were great. Very friendly and knowledgable. Installed water heater and did a great job.
Didnt show up! Also they dont deal with clients that are using their Homeowners Claim Insurance for payment.
Great work. Problem solved. Cheaper than expected! Handle warranty without a problem.
Prompt and professional. Tech arrived on time and quickly found the issue with AC and fixed issue. Cost reasonable.
Aside from taking a week to even get on the schedule they gave me a 5 hour time block and then didnt even show up. Terrible customer service. Your time doesnt matter to them
The Service Technician was friendly and explained each step as the process as we went through the annual check up.
Great customer service. Responded same day. Diagnosed and fixed problem. Very pleased with this company.
Terrible to their employees!
Came early, was very courteous and quick. Wouldnt hesitate in recommending their services.
Always good service. Besides a we have had plumbing service recently.
So glad we gave this company a second chance. Technician was on time, polite and efficient. Thank you!
I trust them with my plumbing, though the grass is greener on the other side cause its fertilized with ahem.
Great service .The technician found that a heating element was not connected this was missed during the initial installation
Quick to come fix our A/C. Really polite and knowledgeable. Next time we need something done I am calling them!
The service technician was on time, courteous, thorough, knowledgeable and answered all of my questions.
Prompt, courteous, efficient and quick. There is nothing else we could ask for. Thanks to James for a great job.
Professional and fastGave several tips on what I should do to HVAC to keep in tip top shape.
Very friendly, very helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend them for any heat and air needs.
Worst company i’ve ever worked with. Stay away unless you want to spend thousands of dollars and no operational AC
Had one of the best A.C technician came and fixed what needed to be fixed and he was very professional.
Waited from 12-5 for a technician. Finally got a call at 5:30 saying they couldn’t make it.
Great service technician was very knowledgeable issue was resolved on the same day I call
Service manager was great to deal with. Tech was awesome, helpful and professional.
Have been our heating/ac people for several years. Have always been happy with service people and office staff.
JR and his partner helped me to understand my issue and fixed it quickly!

Great customer service and very hardworking team!!
Brand new unit and have had to call the 3 times in a year so far
They did a good job, however, they are pricey
