First American Plumbing provided the absolute best service and professionals I have ever come to my home.What an amazing company! Santiago is profession, polite, on time, well-spoken and driven do get the job done. I asked for a new kitchen sink, garbage disposal and two new commodes for both bathrooms. He gave me suggestions and let me choose what I wanted.In order to complete the job in the same afternoon, he asked if he could bring a second plumber to help install the items to Which I said “yes”.Santiago gave me an estimate which was within my budget, picked up the items from the store and together with Matt completed the installation, removed the old commodes, sink and garbage disposal and left all three rooms spotless. That’s the kind of service I love to report. First American Plumbing is well with your investment. The best I have the privilege to have in my home in over 35 years of home ownership.

I am extremely happy with First American plumbing! Santiago and Xayne came out today To install a new filter on my refrigerator. They finished the work quickly and efficiently and left no mess at all! I had another problem which they were able to diagnose quickly and easily. They were upfront with all costs And nothing changed when all was said and done. They were also extremely polite and respectful! I would highly recommend this company for all your plumbing needs.

I have confidence as a female that I’m not getting talked up in prices as his team takes pictures/videos of the problem and their solution to fix it. 1st American Plumbing replaced my existing twin 50 gallon water tanks, located in the attic, with a Navien tankless unit. The guys showed up on time, were very professional and did a very nice installation. Im very happy with the work and the price.

Averee was an absolute pleasure to work with! He removed the old toilet and installed the new one in timely fashion. He also removed the old toilet and cardboard boxes for recycling. He did all this with 2 Great Danes watching him. I wish we could give more stars!!!

A few weeks ago we had a major leak out of know where behind a wall in our kitchen, 1st American Plumbing was there within an hour and had the leak fixed quickly and efficiently. We have had three major plumbing issues in the last month or so. We have been using 1st American Plumbing for a few years, always a good experience. We get next day service, even if they have to squeeze us in. Always friendly and professional service. It is said that these things come in threes, so hopefully we are done for a while, but if not we know where to go to get our plumbing fixed.

I was very pleased with the work done on my faucet diverter. I spent 10 hours trying to replace it, but my plumber told me immediately that because it was pitted it would never work. I learned a lot. One of the things was not to spend 10 hours, but to call a plumber before that time. :)

This initial issue began last year around August and I had Milestone Plumbing to come out and replace the faucet. A few months later, the same issue occurred in January and water started leaking under the sink. I called Milestone and the technician came out, and told me the dripping water started because of the way I washed dishes. Over the weekend (March 10, 2023) water was dripping underneath the sink again. 😩I was referred to First American via American Home Shield regarding my sink dripping issue. Santos and team came this afternoon to review the issue; and diagnosed the issue immediately. Luckily I didn’t have to pay for the part and only the initial service fee. Within an hour, I had my issue resolved. Hands down First American is the best!! Five stars all the way 😊. Thank you all once again. You can see the pictures of the before and after.

Like others cited previously, I thought American Home Shield was the cause of a warranty denial but just found out it was 1st American who inexplicably will not correct their report for a mistake they made during the authorization process. It is my opinion they work to deny issues for ulterior motives of trying to charge the customer outside the warranty service.

Our water heater was leaking a rusty fluid. JT came out first thing this morning and was very professional. JT diagnosed and fixed the problem. Very knowledgeable and offered a long term solution to prevent the problem in the long run.

Do not use. Very simple job, but they didnt take the time to figure it out. They were supposed to replace a pump, but they replaced with the wrong kind (sump instead of effluent), so of course it doesnt work and doesnt fix the problem. Had multiple flood incidents in the garage because of this. All of this taking 4 weeks for what should have been very easy. They refuse to swap out with the correct pump or refund my money, so I have to buy the right pump and fix it myself now after spending $1k with them. Screens calls to not answer, wont call back, wont help with warranty on a pump that doesnt work. Very poor customer service from the owner. Really disappointed that I had to spend so much money with them to not have anything fixed, and then having to spend more money to get the right pump and fix it myself. Very unhappy and wish they would refund me.Have to resort to small claims court to be refunded my money, after being ignored for more than a month. All around wrong diagnosis from them. They installed wrong pump. Proper pump needed to be replaced and now works because I had to install myself. Just bad work and bad customer service

Santiago was very thorough and professional. He arrived when I was expecting him, and he solved a drainage problem in a timely fashion. He also drew up an estimate for me for some possible future work.

I needed the pipes and garbage disposal in my kitchen fixed after the pipe disconnected and flooded the cabinet. Santiago called me about 30 minute beforehand to let me know they were on their way. When they got here they immediately diagnosed the issue, showed me the problem to keep me in the loop, and fixed it all in about 20 minutes. After it was fixed they asked me to come look at it to be sure everything looked good. Overall I appreciated how quick they were in fixing the problem as well as how communicative they were throughout the process. Highly recommend!

Will inaccurately describe the issue to insurance company in order for the claim to be denied so that they can propose to fix the problem for you for $9k outside of insurance. Complete scam.

James was very professional and arrived timely. He was very specific on what was covered by the warranty company and what my out of pocket would so there was no misunderstanding of what I would owe. I really appreciated his honesty and his willingness to ensure I understood the process of the installation including that a permit would need to be pulled as well which was part of my out of pocket. I would request that the warranty company send them out again for any needs I may have in the future.

I cant speak enough of Averee from 1st American Plumbing, he is truly amazing. He is great at his job and his customer service skills is unmatched. I ask for him by name because he is just that good. I find it very odd that all the reviews for the company from customers who sought them out on their own range from great to mediocre....but if they were sent to you by your home warranty/insurance provider the reviews are poor to awful. Which is where we come in. Long story short, they were sent to us by American Home Shield (another awful business we do not recommend) to fix a leak. Instead the clumsy handymen came out, broke a cast iron pimp and now we have a hole in the side of our house, a bathroom we cant use, and around $5k worth of damage American Home Shield will not cover. This has been going on for over a month and there is no resolution in sight because the two companies that work together dont communicate, dont want to take responsibility, and dont know what they are doing. Were getting a lawyer involved and have contacted the Better Business Bureau. Do yourself a favor and avoid working with this company, esp if they are being sent out to you through American Home Shield or any other insurance company they are in cahoots with. Enclosed are pictures of the wonderful hack patch job they did on our house.

This is a great company with an amazing team. Ive unfortunately had to utilize them twice within the last couple months for two isolated issues, and each time they delivered with professionalism. They were sent by AHS to come and fix a leak from my pipe in the kitchen. When JT arrived he seen that the sink had started to collapse, which I didn’t know and when he called me he stated to get that fixed first then he can diagnose the problem. I’m wondering why he stated to me, well now this won’t be under your warranty to fix leak so call us personally to come back out. Come to find out they wrote to AHS that my diagnosis was that due to my sink issue that it MAY have caused other issues which would be secondary and that is not covered. How do you give an inaccurate diagnosis stating it may, which means you don’t know and now they don’t want to cover repairs. Jt told me over the phone that he could not give a diagnosis due to sink, because he didn’t want to touch anything to be liable so he can’t tell me the problem. So how can you tell the warranty company that my issues may be due to something that you don’t even know because you stated you couldn’t tell me until you actually ran water. So now I see why he gave me their price to come back out and have to buy my materials. I’m not doing any of that because you seem to have intentionally messed up my warranty.

Travis is exceptional and provided excellent service. Overall this was not a good experience for me with my home warranty company however Travis made a huge difference in the service he provided through his company. While my appliance was not repaired on the first visit due new parts needed, Travis was able to provide a temporary fix. He warned me it may not last, however it did and I was able to have hot water in my home over the 2 weeks that it took to get the parts and have them installed. He totally understood the inconvenience of not having hot water in a home. He also explained to me in detail on the first visit what appeared to be the problem with the appliance and assured me that everyone in the home was safe as I expressed concern over it being a gas appliance. I was kept apprised of my repair and scheduled promptly when the parts arrived. Travis was kind, friendly and efficient and did not leave behind any mess and/or trash. What a great plumber you have! I would not hesitate to have him return for any of my plumbing needs. Well done 1st American, Travis is the best!

I requested service for my kitchen sink through American Home Shield and was assigned 1st American Plumbing to take care of the repairs. James was excellent! He contacted me before he arrived and he was able to work around my schedule. He was on time and very professional. He took care of my sink and gave me some advice on how to fix a couple other plumbing related issues that I was having! I highly recommend this company to take care of your plumbing needs!

My Water heater went out and it turned out to be my pilot light, they came out and fixed it, being super fast and efficient! Santiago was so honest and kind even gave me a 30 day recall on it just in case it happens in the future 10/10 recommend.

We had quite a problem with our disposal/sink drain clogged.They were on site 8a the next day (11/8/23) and had the problem resolved before lunch. Their technician Santiago walked me through what the issue was, what equipment was needed and the cost, and how to avoid issues in the future.Couldnt recommend First American Plumbing enough.

1st American Plumbing came out on an emergency home warranty call and James was very professional. He listened to my description of what I thought the issue might be since it was a hidden leak in a wall near both the HCAC and water heater and we’ve had issues in the past. Travis, the plumbing technician, came in, and assessed what he had to do to install my kitchen faucetl. Then, told me he would turn off the water, let the pressure out the water line and begin the installation. He brought a container to catch any water that was left in the line and begun the install. Travis quietly completed the installation. He made a test of the water flow and had me try the faucet out, too!! Lastly, showed me how to use the tool (that came with the new faucet) to tighten the faucet, underneath the sink, if needed.I appreciate the time Travis took to explain. Also, his quiet, yet assuring, professionalism.Part 2 There was a call back. JT assessed, told me what the additional issue was, went to get the part, returned and fixed it. Lastly showed me the part he removed and told me how he installed the new part that will likely avoid future problems.I was aware from beginning to end of what was happening without any unnecessary time wasted.I appreciate this!!

They had just wrapped up installation and were putting cars back in the garage when a neighbors dog was startled by my coming around the corner, ran at me, and bit into my right arm. The neighbor was able to regain control over his dog, but not without a couple of clean puncture wounds. The plumbers got paper towels, set out a chair, quickly thought of plugging in a big fan of mine since we were in the garage. My neighbor called an ambulance and the plumbers waited with me until after I was bandage up. They put my one car that unfortunately had to be pushed back into the garage with zero damage. They offered to take out my trash or whatever other help I needed right then. I was in such shock that I declined but I cant express how grateful I am for people like those two in the world.Yall have some great, caring workers and, while my experience was stained with red (literally), I cant recommend a better team!Service/incdident occurred 06/09/2023

I am at a loss for words, but here it goes. 1st American Plumbing was sent to my home by AHW to repair/replace my Hot Water Heater. I ended up paying $1292.00 out of pocket which included extensive modifacations that they insisted were required to “meet code”. During my inspection by The City of Plano, the inspector failed the inspection because the vent stack was leaning against the wood roofing (fire hazard), which was resolved by them later. In addition, the inspector advised that the blue expansion tank was not required, because it was an “open system”, hence it would never see any build up. When I called them about this, they said that the plumber that was coming out to fix the failed inspection issue would look at it. The plumber only said that the installation would have been “red tagged” if it was not installed, but he would have his office call me to explain in more detail - I never received a call, and when I have called them at least six times, Tina (dispatcher) has told me either that she would someone contact me, that I approved it, so too bad on and on. I called again today (Tina), and she would provide me with the office manager,’s owner’s or even a different plumber’s name or tel number to call. To .date nobody has contacted me.I am fed up and disappointed with this company’s customer service, as well as their work ethics.

First of all, they called when I was not at the house because I forgot the appointment. James said that was no problem and waited for me (hopefully no more than 10 minutes)He diagnosed and fixed the problem (wax ring) on the toilet in less than 20 minutes. It’s been 45 minutes since he called and said he was on his way and I can already go back to work. Well done.

I am speechless with this company. I called for the service because it takes a long time for my shower to get hot and hot water is not fully hot. It was not like that before. My water heater actually has a bit of overheating issue, it gets too hot sometimes. All the suddenly, something went wrong. It’s not the summer/winter issue because I first noticed the issue during summer. When the 1st American Plumbing technician came, he checked on water heater and told me it’s not the water heater. Thus, there is nothing else he can do about it. I tried to explain the issue again, he said it’s normal. I told him the shower is not like that before, he still insists it is normal and left. To proof it’s not normal, I did some measurement: it took at least 15 mins for shower to reach hottest temperature (was 3~5 mins before), and the hottest temperature is 107F. I also checked the temperature at sink (same restroom) at the same time, the temperature is 114F. I called the office, the lady told me the technician is their master technician. Thus, if I am not satisfied with their diagnosis, just called my home warranty and get a second option.My experience with 1st American Plumbing is: no one cares. If their “Master Technician” cannot fix issue like mine, I also have good reason to question their professionalism.Update: I finally have my shower issue fixed by another company. The other company shows totally different attitude. They tried different ways to check on issues, provided several solutions options, explained to me what is covered by warranty what’s not, giving me advices, and the issue is solved.An issue that 1st American 30 years experience master technician cannot fix is fixed by other company regular technician.

I sometimes hate to use my home warranty company to fix an issue. Regardless of what it is, the anxiety comes from the up-selling as if what the warranty company isnt paying the contractor enough money. Anyways the knob to my hot water line under my kitchen sink rusted and broke. JT came in a fixed the issue in 10 minutes and even cleaned out the filter basket when he noticed the water pressure was low. Everything was fixed without any anxiety! I would def recommend this company. As a matter of fact in the past I have changed companies that AHS recommended to me once I saw their review rating! I will use 1st American again even without using my warranty company...Ask for JT!!!!

Santiago came on time and explained the reason for the problem and how I can prevent it from happening again. He was on time and fixed the problem in minutes. My experience was great specially that they came out the next day to fix the problem.

When my shower diverter valve broke, my shower was reduced to water only coming out of the faucet. Because it was not a traditional vale, spare parts were difficult to find. However, James at 1st American Plumbing was not deterred by this challenge and worked to find the necessary part to do the repair. Not only did he find the correct valve to do the repair, but he was able to do so without ripping into my drywall or shower wall, saving me a lot of money. I am truly grateful for his hard work.

1st America Plumbing was dispatched to our home for a leaking water heater by American Home Shield. The plumber that came out lied about code requirements for certain items, even when confronted with information from the chief plumbing and mechanical inspector of Irving, TX.There are multiple ways to present various options and their associated costs without resorting to outright lies.Ultimately they presented me with an estimate for $1800 out of pocket - thats just the extras in addition to the actual water heater.Bottom line - this company will lie to your face in hopes of tricking you into believing that you dont have any choice but to pay, knowing that the average consumer will take them at their word as an expert.Id give 0 stars if I could, this sort of behavior gives skilled trades everywhere a bad name. For all their bluster about well thats the law they should really do themselves a favor and look up fraud.

If I could give this company, no stars, I would. 1st American plumbing was contracted through American Home Shield warranty company to service my water heater. However, they switched out my large water heater for a smaller one. Therefore the wires were left hanging from my ceiling. I’ve called both companies several times and they continue to send me back-and-forth between the two. The issue has been going on for at least three months unresolved. The companies continue to point the finger at one another versus resolving the matter for the customer. Not only that a HS has been charging me double per month so instead of paying $49.99 once per month they’ve been charging me that amount twice and arguing with me about it when my bank gave them proof. I have had a horrible experience with both companies. The wires are still hanging from my ceiling and that is a fire hazard. Today after speaking with 1st American plumbing I was told again ASH is responsible for sending an electrician out. I was hung up on because I used profane language to express how unfairly I feel I’ve been treated.9/10/2023 Reply to 1st American Scumbers: AHS has charged me twice & my bank is handling my account accordingly as I was told AHS are scammers. As for the comment about runing your business...I dont have to try your work speaks for itself because your company left the wires hanging so AHS feels they arent responsible. AGAIN you two continue to point fingers at one another and the wires in my home are still hanging from the ceiling.

I utilized this company through my home warranty program in late September 2021. They were courteous and did arrive on time to perform the service. However, less than 45 days later, I realized that the issue was not resolved when I came home to water on the floor in my kitchen. I’ll now have to pay for another dispatch fee and possibly replace the floors in my kitchen. Would not recommend.

Although my home warranty was not helpful Jame was great! He was able to resolve my issue quickly and even helped in connecting me with someone to help service my water damage!

We were assigned this company through our home warranty. They came out and said we needed a new water heater. Quoted $892 for labor, permit and supplies. Thats with no cost on water heater. They rescheduled 2×, only letting us know by text. Communication was horrible . The office manager had no idea what was going on. I called the home warranty company only to find out that 1st American had changed the quote from $892 to $1092 just 3 days before the new scheduled service date.I told the home warranty company that I felt like they were ripping us off. They agreed and offered us a buyout. They are sending us the money and letting us choose another company. Do not do business with these guys. Complete rip off and absolutely horrible communication.

I had the plumber to come out, American Home Shield. The guy came in the house telling me what he did not do. So I called AHS. And I told them what he said and I told him just don’t do anything. Then he said let me see what I am allowed to do. Because you would have to pay out of pocket. I am going to call his company tomorrow because I am very unhappy.

Averee came out and diagnosed the problem and made recommendations on how to solve the problem which will save me money in the future. I was very happy with the results. I will definitely ask for Averee next time I have a problem.

I dont understand all these negative review but I did notice they are mostly from AHS and there is definitely some shell shock when the company tells you that after we have paid money for insurance that they will only cover the actual water heater and not the permits, piping, pans and gas line work that needs to be done to do this job properly. Camri has been great and very responsive and pleasant, which is the opposite of most other AHS plumbing companies. Gene and Blake came out and quickly did a temporizing procedure to prevent permanent damage to my house without any hassle or fees and promises that we were going to use them. I had SDL plumbing come out first and they were holding me hostage to do the quick 15 min job to just tie off the water hoses coming into heater without me paying $550 out of pocket first as a promise I was gonna use them for the job. Please dont judge this company for AHS fine print requiring us to pay out of pocket, which I am still not happy about.

After reading other AHS related reviews I was I. Guard. That said The plumber was on time, polite, had the problem resolved quickly and left me with a tip for maintenance to keep the problem from reoccurring. At this point I’d have no problem recommending the company

They came in to check my hot water heater and were very professional and informative. All my questions were answered by the receptionist when I called and they were very helpful and understanding. I will recommend them to anyone needing plumbing services.

Do not use this company! This provider was sent to me through my home warranty company to diagnose my leaking water heater. The heater had to be replaced and the plumber said that the water supply and gas lines needed to be replaced to bring up to code. He said the home warranty company more than likely would not cover those items so he would send me an estimate for my portion. The estimate was over $900. Keep in mind this did not include water heater cost which was covered. Part of the estimate included a $250 city permit. After contacting city of Richardson, I learned the permit only cost $50 and could be obtained by the homeowner. I also spoke with an inspector to clarify if lines had to be replaced to bring to code. He said no. I did not have problem replacing lines, but the upcharge was ridiculous. Supply lines are not that expensive. In fact, my handy husband is capable and was willing to replace them before new heater would be installed. When I contacted 1st American to tell them I would obtain permit and lines were not required to be replaced, they said they would not do the job. They argued that the master plumber had to obtain permit and they would not install unless they put in the new lines. Dont get me wrong. I dont expect them to do the job for free. Im all for small business making a profit, but they are way overcharging. The company chose to be accept the home warranty work and does receive compensation from them. They just are trying to go above and beyond by ripping off customers.

They damaged my both water heaters very badly during the installation, and they don’t know what they are doing be honest, they are very sloppy Plumbers. I don’t recommend 1st American Plumer to NO bodies.They are not honest with their prices, they charged me $150 for ONE water heater Pan which cost usually $15 or $23 at any hardware store. They are not honest Pluming COMPANY either.

1st American Plumbing were recommended by AHS for a 2nd opinion for pressure valve replacement. I have Mansfield commodes that were phantom flushing. When 1st American arrived, Stedman didnt know the reason for the service call.I explained the problems and the first plumbers suggestion. Stedmon said the plumber didnt know what he was talking about. He said the flappers needed to be replaced. So, off he went to the store to purchase Korky flappers. Well, that didnt fix it as the phantom flushes resumed shortly after he left.A week later, 1st American sent another plumber and he diagnosed bad valves. Two weeks later, the parts arrived, and a week after that, the plumbers (Stedman and Caleb) are doing the repairs.Well, Id like to say things were going good and then I hear water being poured from another room. I rush in to see Caleb has poured commode water in my bath tub and just left a mess for me to clean. (see photo)While I dont know if the parts shipped came in small brown paper bags, Im a tad bit suspicious.Also, they make frequent trips to the truck one did 3 and the other did 5.Would I recommend, no. Just call Still Waters Plumbing.For some strange reason, Im unable to add photos. Just inefficient as they used my trash liner for their trash, BUT he did take the trash with him. Okay, I believe in total honesty.

Terrible. We have a leaking water heater and the clown they sent out said there was nothing wrong. Worst of all the moron told our warranty company this. So when we had a real plumber come by and confirm the leak it took an act of Congress to get the warranty company to cover it. They probably are a racket and front for American home shield the equally bad warranty company.

Extremely rude. They say they are open 24 hours but they are actually closed for the weekends. They dont provide any emergency services at all. If they are not available, then they should update their availability status so that customers dont waste their precious time waiting on them !!!
