Stay on top of them if you buy a home from them. They failed to register our ac system so it defaulted to a 5 year warranty instead of a 10 year. Our hvac system has failed to properly work since we purchased this home.

The warranty department is the worst I’ve ever dealt with. I’ve been in my home for nearly two years and here recently I have experienced several issues with the hvac system. On Tuesday July 25 I submitted a warranty request because my home was no longer cooling to the desired temperature it was staying at a consistent 82 degrees in the home with 100 degree temperatures outside. I have a 10 month old daughter and these temperatures are unbearable for her to live in. I was told they would be out on Friday. The company they used sent a technician who didn’t have the part that was needed to repair my unit. It took him a couple of hours to troubleshoot but he ultimately said he could do nothing but let his team know the details of the part and wait on it to come in. I reached out to the company on Monday they told me it would take 10 days for the part to arrive because it was a warranty request. 10 additional days with no air in 100+ degree weather with an infant in the home. I reached out to my contact who told me that basically that’s the company they use so I have no choice but to wait. With things like next day air and overnight shipping why am I waiting 10 days for a part. Is First Texas waiting on my daughter and I to have to be admitted into a hospital for heat exhaustion before they take something like this serious. I’m appalled at the way they are handling this and more so disappointed that people are ok with folks living in sweltering conditions
