My compressor went out recently. Whenever it kicked on, it tripped the breaker. Called Buck’s Heating & Air. Mr. Buck came out quickly and replaced a blown capacitor. It didn’t resolve the issue. On further troubleshooting, it seemed the compressor was also blown. On the day the compressor was to be replaced, Mr. Buck came by to do some prep work before leaving to get the compressor. He found a wiring issue that was concerning. After rewiring correctly, the compressor kicked on, and stayed on.I highly recommend Buck’s Heating & Air. AC died in the middle of a heatwave. Bucks Heating and Air saved the day. Cory came out and fixed our unit super fast and for a fair price. Cory was fast, competent, and honest. Bucks is basically the best. Very fast response times. Their technician is very knowledgeable and professional. Both times he never upselled any service or parts but instead advised me to go with the least costly options to keep the existing system running. Cory was very knowledgeable about the different products available, and after inspecting our previous system discussed options with us that would meet our budget, increase the efficiency and ultimately do a much better job of cooling our home. Cory at Bucks Heating And Air is an exceptional local businessman. My AC stopped working in late 2017, just a summer ended. Cory had fixed my AC in 2015 (rodent entered fan area and chewed wiring) for a very reasonable price so I called him again. First visit, Cory immediately found the problem (a slow refrigerant leak), provided me all the options I as a homeowner would need to consider (i.e. buy new, diagnose existing and possibly resolve with potential of future issues on an already worn out system), and gave me the time I needed to digest the information and make a decision. Given my budget, I decided to have Cory fix the existing system. This entailed him coming out again (no additional service fee), recharging the system and injecting a dye to hopefully manifest the leak. Within one week, and on short notice, Cory came back to my home and discovered the leak location. From there he gave me further details and options. Long story short, Cory worked directly with a local manufacturer of the unit, found it was under warranty, and given its condition, obtained a considerable discount for me to replace the AC entirely! And all within my budget! The following week, Cory came out as expected and replaced my AC unit within a few hours. No hidden charges, no extra service fees, and no surprises. Most importantly, before Cory left my home on each visit, he promptly reviewed all his work with me and provided electronic copies of his services, recommendations, and invoice charges.Thanks Corry and Bucks Heating And Air for your excellent service!

Cory was a life saver on 7/8/22. I was away from home at a conference and the air went out. My 79 year old mother, who lives with me, didn’t tell me and sat in the house sweating! That was dangerous, but Bucks Heating and Air came when they said they would and fixed the problem quickly, it feels so good in here. Our heater went out in the middle of the night during this polar vortex which of course was also just a couple of days before Christmas. I was nervous I wasn’t going to get anyone out, but Bucks Heating and Air showed up early the next morning and got it all fixed up for us within 20-30 minutes. Corey was the one that helped us out. Awesome service from Cory when we really needed it. Our AC failed in the middle of this heatwave (100+ degrees) and he came out the same day we requested service. He quickly zeroed in on the problem and replaced the capacitor on the compressor. After that, he checked out the rest of the AC system, taking amperage readings to see if things were within limits. Fortunately were good for a while longer until a more extensive system rework will be needed. His cost today was very reasonable and hes a great guy to talk to. Weve found our Heater and AC company from now on!

SUPPORT THE LOCAL SMALL BUSINESS OWNER! We have had Corey out to our house twice. The first time was to simply go over whether or not we needed to make any drastic changes to our system. After getting grandiose ideas and even larger quotes from the big players in town, it was refreshing to have Corey come in and tell us what we could do, but also tell us it was not an immediate need. The second time he came out was because our heater quit. He met with me the same day I called and diagnosed the very faulty wiring. Even offering to stay until very late and work in the rain to fix it if we needed him to. We didnt. Corey came out the following day and got it all taken care of for less than what others charged. Corey is a professional and also honest in his assessments. When our unit does finally go, he will be the one to replace it.

Cory and the team at Bucks Heating and Air are about as first rate as you can get. My moms heater quit on her right in a spell of 32 degree mornings in early March. Based on previous Yelp reviews, I chose Bucks to diagnose the problem. Cory came out and located the problems with her 30+ year old HVAC system, and found a way to get it back into service without depleting her savings account. He came out the next two days in a row to clean up and essentially re-wire the shoddy work of previous contractors because he knew if he left it, wed be calling him right back with more issues.Actual customer here, who is not afraid to dole out criticism when its deserved. Such a pro... initial phone call he set mutual expectations and 100% listened to me. Pre-called my wife 30 mins forewarned, showed up sorted the issue and knowing that i was handy...told me what was wrong and how to fix it (if i wanted to save a few bucks). I had done limited homework and knew what a replacement part usually runs a non-pro and although i couldve saved a few dollars. His fees reasonable enough to say no i can put my small ego aside and let a pro handle it for that price.Who in this day / age considerately runs a business like this? well scroll back up...and remember the name. His name was Cory and has service worth twice potential DIY savings.

Great communication, fast service, respectful of our home, quality work!We purchased our house in Folsom 3 years ago knowing that the 30+ year old HVAC systems (yes 2 of them) would need to be replaced. We were told they had another 5 years on them. Bucks heating and air came out for maintenance earlier this year and suggested we change out the capacitors to get us through the summer. With a new baby on the way we wanted to get the systems replaced relatively soon to prevent any outages in the middle of winter. The service provided was reflective of the situation and not overkill considering the imminent replacement.This fall we reached out to Bucks Heating and Air look at options for replacement of both systems. Cory arrived with brochures, and pictures to provide us the detailed information needed to make this type of expensive home repair. He explained the difference between types of systems and knowledgeably answered ALL of our questions. We were able to make a decision on the spot and schedule the work to start the following week. The whole project took 5 days. Cory arrived with his crew on time and ready to work. The first 2 days they replaced the entire system in the front of the house including the condenser unit, air handler, thermostat, and ducts! The last three days they replaced the entire system (unit/handler/tstat/ducts) in the back of the house. He showed us pictures of the progress as he went, which was nice because we dont go into the attic often. The new thermostats are wifi enabled, easy to use, and smart.Cory was able to anticipate any potential challenges they might face including:The ability to fit the air handler through the attic access in the garage - he had to take out the casing around the drop down stairs, and he put it back when he was done.The potential need to run the line set on the exterior of the home - which he did have to do because the new lines could not fit through the exterior wall.I loved that there were no hidden costs associated with the work. The thorough inspection prior to the start of the work helped prevent any unanticipated expenses along the way. They were able to do all of the work for the price quoted. The payment schedule was perfect, $1000 up front, half of the remaining after the first system was replaced, and the other half after the second system was replaced. The total price included the materials, labor, plus the required permits and title 24 testing.Both systems are now up and running and working great. Bucks Heating and Air did a great job and we will have them back for all our future maintenance and repair needs.

I would recommend Bucks Heating and Air. My sons air went out and, Cory came out and with in a few minuets he was able to find the problem and got the air back up and running. He greeted my son with a smile and was Professional.

Bucks heating & Air was an excellent choice! A Same day appointment was requested and accommodated. Also, unlike some other services in the past, no hint to sell us anything additional was attempted. The honest condition of my equiptment was given without pressure to upgrade or replace. I would definitely recommend these guys but also give them a call for all my hvac needs in the future.

Bucks Heating and Air (CORY to be exact) is not professional and has a superior attitude when it comes to people of color... he spoke to me as if I was nothing, but a peasant. I would never come back or ask for a consultation of any kind. I assume he thought I was unable to pay for anything. But silly you.... tricks are for kids. Beware of the devil that you entertain or pay! You deserve no stars, but thats not allowed!

I had 3 quotes on my air conditioning in my home after a surge the unit wouldnt start the 1st two said I needed a complete new air conditioning unit I was just beside myself because we all know thats not cheap so I got 1 more estimate/diagnostic from Bucks the tech Cory was an unbelievable genious, honest, fast and very knowledgeable about electric components and especially the air/heat units, he saved me thousands of dollars because the first two were obviously after more money. He is an angel in disguise . I would recommend this company over any others, face it Honesty & integrity are hard to find these days he had me up and running in 40 minutes . Please dont waste your money going elsewhere. This is the man this is the company you want. Please dont waste your time just because the other companies are well known, bigger more publicity , Trust me Im a woman that could have gotten taken for a whole lot of money. Im not sure who drives the camouflage company vehicles but one of the workers nearly ran me off the road on 380. I passed them and apparently it was enough to make them mad nearly clipping me and I had my children in the car. I tried to get tags but they sped off very scary!!
