A neighbor recommended Longhorn and I so glad they did. The technician that came was Joseph. He was friendly and polite, but most of all he cared. He cared that the problem was resolved and resolved to his satisfaction. He made sure my washer was in good working order before he left.

Called and spoke Joe with this Company and explained the issue with our Front Loader Washer needing a New Bearing Joe abruptly Hung Up on me half way through the Conversation as I explained the issue.A service company that is dedicated to fixing appliances should be able to put the Customers Needs first if the customer is prepared to pay for services!! This is how a business achieves Word of Mouth Referrals and Reviews. Definitely Not Recommended!!

They texted me when they were coming and were early in the 8-11 window. Jason was courteous and quick. My washer is dead and he couldnt repair it but he did tighten it so we can still use it for a few days. I was happy with service and will use them again.

Excellent experience with Jason D. We booked a same day appt, he accurately diagnosed the problems and ordered the parts for our dryer and refrigerator. The parts came in the next day and he came back to make the repair and got our appliances quickly back in working order. He called us on his way over each time and we are happy with the repairs!

I was recommended Longhorn from another person who used them. They were able to schedule me the same day I called and once the parts were delivered they got me in the next day for my dryer repair. Jose was very nice and worked quickly, he even found the “Penny’s” that have been rattling around in the machine forever. It only took 2 days from the initial consultation to get my parts and call to schedule install. Will use again. Thank you!

Longhorn Appliances were requested to look at my dryer as one cycle was not drying in a normal amount of time . The service person could not speak English so I had a difficult time communicating with him . I finally understood him asking me if my washer was spinning properly and I said a few times I needed it to spin a second time. He regrogrsmed the computerized screen on the dryer after getting help from someone over the phone . Then I was presented with a bill of almost $400 ! I messaged the business and was told he charged 2 service calls - dryer and washer - that was not right . Plus a charge for reprogramming the dryer . Won’t use them again !

Our Samsung washing machine was giving an error code that it wouldn’t drain. Jose arrived on time and had this fixed in about 20 minutes. Luckily, no replacement part was needed- I only had a kids candy wrapper clogging the drain line but Jose knew right where to look to clear it. High recommended!

Jose was very nice and showed me what the issue was on our microwave and explained that a part would need to be ordered. When he returned with the part he had it up and running quickly. Labor cost seems very high but I don’t really have anything to compare it to.

I also discovered that my previous HVAC tech did not fully performed the regular maintenance as he did not clean the filter and coils in the back of the ICE Maker. A+ for Joseph!

Fabian was great. He was in and out in less than 30 mins and knew what he was doing. However, $229 for labor and $100 for the part was a little steep. If it would have taken a longer time I could maybe see the labor costing that much, but he was done very quickly. I will not go with this company again due to the high cost.

Joseph was really top notch. He was honest and thorough. He went above and beyond. He checked various components to make sure that the error message was accurate, and that we weren’t being sold a part that wasn’t going to really fix the problem. When a 3rd party supplier gave us an opened part (not new), he rejected it and got us a new part. When the compressor turned out to also be going out, he didn’t charge us extra. I wish all repairmen were like him.

Our technician, Jason was courteous and competent. He ordered a part that he thought would solve the problem of our dishwasher not starting, but when installed it didn’t. He determined that there was some intermittent short inside the door. When he put our old part back in—it started! We were only charged for labor and told we would probably need a new dishwasher if it happened again. He also said that Longhorn would help install it if that was the case. Yoba is as great; very efficient. However, the price was outrageous. $398 to replace the thermostat on a dryer that is less than 3 yrs old. As a single parent, this was a lot of money, especially at the holidays.

I was fully satisfied with the whole installation process. The person taking my original call was friendly and helpful, as well as professional and efficient.The technician doing the installation called ahead before his arrival to let me know he was on his way, was on time, and completed the installation quickly. He was very helpful with suggestions on how to save the drawerspace under the cooktop and helped haul off the old cooktop.I will definitely use Longhorns services again.

The guy came out and he was really kind but the issue I had was that he said the fridge was okay, but he didn’t really run any other diagnostics than just listening to the compressor. He didn’t know English so it was hard to communicate about what was going on and for him to tell me what was going on.Honestly not worth the $153 for them to come out. The bottom freezer is still over freezing so my issue wasn’t fixed. They were able to come out the same day which was nice though. They just came 2 hours earlier than scheduled and I was not at home.

Unfortunately, I had to revise my previous review. I had Longhorn come out and fix my freezer back in August. The bottom kept icing over and then water would leak on the floor when it would get to full. Three months, and $330, later after Longhorn came out I woke up to discover the same issue with my freezer, the bottom was icing over and leaked onto the floor underneath the fridge and now all those planks are buckling and ruined. I called longhorn and told them my issue and they were going to charge me another service charge just to come out there to diagnose the problem. Its obvious that it was either misdiagnosed the first time or they installed a part that went bad after three months. I told Longhorn at this point it did not make sense for me to pay them another $300+ when they could not fix the job the first time but I would like to talk to a manager so someone could explain to me how this might happen and potentially change my mind. I was assured that a manager would call but they never did, which doesnt surprise me since there is no good explanation for them not fixing the issue the first time.

The tech was very nice, but Im bummed by the experience. I called to let them know that I needed help with my Samsung fridge touch screen. They assured me they could help with that. Then they sent a man (a very nice man, but still) out who literally said this fridge is not common and tried to restart it (which I had already done several times) and then told me to go and buy a USB card and that would fix it. Nope, nope and nope. Still had to pay the (somewhat ridiculously high) service fee for literally nothing. Then I called excellence appliance repair, the man came out and immediately took the screen out and told me what was wrong with it. The service fee was much less too and he knew how to fix it. Normally I wouldnt be frustrated but I asked them ahead of time, before the sent anyone out, if they dealt with touch screens on high end Samsung fridges. The guy they sent literally had no clue about them.

It was so easy to go online and make an appointment even on a holiday weekend. Longhorn got right back to me and sent a technician the next day. Our technician, Fabian Zarate, was early and was very polite. After checking our dryer, he found that our heating element was bad and he could replace it immediately as he had the right element for our brand of dryer. He was here about 30 minutes. From the time he walked in til the time he left, he was clear about what was wrong, what needed to be fixed, and how much it would cost. After he replaced the part, he showed me where it was broken on our old one. Fabian was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. I will definitely call Longhorn again for my appliance repairs.

Worker arrived when expected. Figured out the issue as to why my dryer wasn’t working properly. Gave me an estimate on the repair and stated it could be done now and would only take an hour. The repair ended up taking less than the hour and after made multiple attempts to ensure that the repair not only worked, but would last. The entire process from first contacting Longhorn, and all the way through the repair was very pleasant. Repairman was very polite and professional the entire time, including the cleaning up the small mess that came out of the dryer while making the repair. Would totally recommend Longhorn to others and use them again myself for other needed repairs.

Came out and said my washer rotor was faulty. If the $200 for labor is supposed to cover the time and expertise of the repairman, I’d like a refund because he just used the internet and didn’t actually fix my washer, ran a test wash with nothing in the bin. First load with some hand towels it grinds like it want fixed.

I wish I could give Longhorn 10 stars. Their kind of customer service is unheard of these days. Our dryer broke Thursday night. Less than 24 hours later their technician Bobby B was at my door to do the repair. He discovered which part he needed, which he had just run out of on his vehicle and had already reordered even before my service call. We made a tentative plan for him to complete the repair after the weekend when he could get the part. What a happy surprise when Longhorn called me at lunch time on Saturday to tell me they got the part already and Bobby could return Saturday afternoon! So my dryer is now back in service and I couldnt be more pleased. Longhorn charged me a very fair price and far exceeded my expectations. This was my first time to use Longhorns services but it definitely wont be the last!

You definitely want to stay away from this company! A total rip off!!! They came out to work on one of my rental homes refrigerators in Plano. They told my tenants it needed a sensor. The tech told my tenants he would call me. My tenants said he is calling you now. The tech never called me with a diagnosis or never sent me a quote. Since I could not get them to respond I had to get another company out to look at the refrigerator and they told me it did not need a sensor it needed Freon and they added Freon and it’s cooking fine. Then on Wednesday morning three days later this company wants to charge me $139.64 for misdiagnosing the problem with the refrigerator. A total scam!!! Stay away!!!!

The $139 service call was already steep, but I agreed since it would be waived if I chose to go ahead with a repair. Had a tech come out the next day to take a look at my refrigerator that isnt cooling properly, which was great. The estimate I was given was for over $500. Nearly $150 of that is the part, which I found for $20 from the manufacturer. The rest is labor. I could almost buy a new refrigerator for the amount that these people would have charged to fix mine. Insane! You guys got your $139. Never using them again and will NEVER recommend then to anyone else.

The Good -* Answered phone on Saturday, scheduled for Monday* Tech showed up on time, was friendly and knowledgeable* Tech completed repairs timely and without issueThe Bad -* Charged $430 to replace the dryer heating element. The part itself is about a $30-40 part, and the labor was approximately 45 minutes. I would normally do this myself (needed them for the diagnosis), but due to several unique life factors went ahead and let them do it.* The price point is really, really high for the materials + labor. I said that to the tech and he agreed. If we werent having the unique issues than there is no way I would ever have paid $430. It feels like a $200 or so job to me, and they more than doubled it.

Took over a month to get my refrigerator kind of fixed. The hole this was out freezer and refrigerator. They fixed the freezer but did not know how to fix the refrigerator. The communication was terrible until I got a hold of a supervisor. now they have spoken with GE and even the manufacture apparently cant tell them how to fix it. Just understand that is you go with Longhorn if they do not have the part in it will add a week to your repair time. If that part doesnt fix it then add another week. Then if they order the wrong part it will be another week. This experience was terrible!!!

I wish I had read these reviews more carefully before I just looked at their overall rating of 4.7 stars. (doesnt seem right)Super disappointed in this company. Seems my experience is common with them. Came to my house to repair a gas cooktop. Said it would be $500+ to fix and needed to order a part. Was given 3-5 days window for part to arrive. After they left I did some research and realized I could buy a new one for about $800 which I did. I called them and asked for a refund of my $250 deposit and offered to pay the $89 service fee. Told them they could return the part or cancel the order which wasnt there yet anyway. They said they couldnt do that. Was told the person i was talking to was only an operator but was assured a MGR would reach out to me. It never happened. Got a call 2 weeks later saying my part was in. What a joke. I should have disputed the charge on my card but I wasnt raised that way. When id voiced my disappointment with the person who called they said they were just an operator. Wouldve been nice to speak with someone who could actually do something about the issue. BEWARE of these people.

On a Saturday my tenets told me the technician told them it needed a sensor and my tents told me he was calling to talk about the repair. He never called me, I tried texting back to the number that told me he was on his way but no one responded. Since I wasn’t getting a response from the company I had to have another company come out on Monday morning and they found a leak, fixed the leak and added Freon to the refrigerator on Monday and it’s been cooling ever since freon was added. I get a call from this company on Wednesday morning wanting me to pay them the service call fee even though they never called me to tell me what was wrong with the refrigerator.

I called Longhorn Appliance repair in Carrollton Texas last November 2023 to repair an electric range which has temperature regulation issues. They sent a technician out who did not seem to know what he was doing. He was on the phone with someone else the whole time.They ended up replacing two parts and charging me $250.As the problem was intermittent, the problem was never fixed.I called them back 2 months later to try to get them to backup up thier work. I was told I would get a callback by a supervisor, but never did. Now, every time I call , they dont answer(actually they dont answer most of the time anyway) and they are basically ghosting me.I have a dozen rent houses and have experience with vendors.I will never use this company again as they DO NOT backup their work, and I strongly discourage anyone else from calling this shady organization.

Originally had a tech out on 7/31 for a fridge repair, was told it would be 3-5 business days for parts. Called their office number on 8/8 to check in on the status of the job and was told it would actually be 5-7 business days and that I would receive a callback from our tech, Bobby. I waited until 8/13 for any communication from the office or our tech. I finally decided to hire another company yesterday who promptly came and diagnosed/repaired our fridge within a 2 hour appointment.I had paid a deposit to LH for the job, only to then find out that what Bobby diagnosed/ordered for our fridge was not what our new technician repaired. So I essentially paid for parts that we didn’t need and if Bobby had come out to do the job, the problem we were experiencing still would not have been fixed.Extremely disappointed that I was ghosted by their tech and their receptionists for two weeks over an issue that could have apparently been resolved within two hours. And that I am now out money on parts that we didn’t even need. I would not recommend them.

Well they came out and gave my wife estimate She signed it for $207. Later on she called me and told me that it ended up being $361. I asked her if they left the invoice you said no. So then I contacted them for the estimate and the actual invoice. They said the estimate did not have the part on it and thats why it was so much more. But the invoice said $306. And when I question the technician he said he didnt look at the check and it should have been 306. So then I contacted them to make a refund for what I was overcharged and they were going to do that but never happened. So no problem with the repairs just a little shady on the billing in my opinion. And Im still waiting on my refund

They came to my house to repair my gas dryer. They told me they had to order parts and had to charge me half of the cost before they could order the parts. I paid but havent heard back from them. I called them, they said they would check on the part order and get back to me. They still havent got back to me. I called again today, got some automated system. Initially it said the average wait time is one minute. I have now been waiting for five minutes. I am not optimistic that they will ever fix my appliance. They ended up scheduling the repair but, of course, they didnt show. Also, when you call, the machine says the average wait time is one minute. The three times I called, they never answered, even after waiting for 5 minutes. This place sucks.

I had a beeping sound on my refrigerator. It beeped continuously. On 7/27, I had a technitioan from Longhorn come to repair thee fridge. He told me that he needed to clean some stuff out and replace a part. Once that was done, the beeping would go. I spent almost $300, with no results.The beeping stopped for a few days and started again. The beeping is worse now with continuous beeping. The beeping is non stop the whole day and very loud.I have been calling them since the 2nd week in August, but with no results. I always get someone on the phone who tells me that either the technician will call me back or someone else. Many times I call them and leave a message.Up untill now, this has not been resolved. No one calls me and I have to keep calling.One of the worst experiences I have ever had from a repair shop.I will never recommend this place for repair. I believe that you will regret it if you use them. There are many other repair shops who would do a better job.Today is 10/12/23, and no resolution.I will never recommend this company to anyone and I feel that it would be waste of money and a big mistake to use them.

I would give Joseph from Longhorn six stars if I could. My 7 year old Maytag fridge stopped cooling properly. The first local appliance repair shop I called sent out a nice young guy but he had no clue about what was wrong. Spent most of his time tapping on his tablet. Gave me an estimate of $1,400 for a new compressor and recommended junking this fridge and buying a new one (probably $2,500)!Luckily I called Longhorn for a second opinion. After a few minutes on the phone, Joseph knew exactly what the problem was: a busted defrost thermostat, causing frost/ice to block the cold air from circulating. He came out the next day, thawed everything out, replaced the therrmostat for a very reasonable fee, and it works like new. Joseph with Longhorn really knows how to diagnose and fix appliances and I’m very fortunate to have found him. This is the only place I’ll go in the future for appliance repair. Joseph is The Man!

We called Longhorn Appliance Repair to replace a cracked drum on our LG dryer (purchased in 2019). The technician said the replacement drum was out of stock and that he would contact LG to see about getting another one. I waited 4 days before contacting the company for an update. A dispatcher (what she called herself) said she would have the technician call me, and again I waited another few days. No response. In the meantime, I contacted LG and found out the drum had a 10 year warranty (information that was available on the operations manual). I called Longhorn Appliance again to speak to the technician or the owner of the company and the dispatcher said she would have someone call me. No call or contact from anyone. Then I received an email quote from Longhorn for $300 for the dryer drum (that was $0 from LG because it was under warranty) + service fee. The technician didnt look behind the dryer drum to see what might have caused the crack, per LG instructions. This company was completely non-responsive...and would have cost me and extra $300 to buy a drum that was under warranty.

Called Longhorn in to deal with a persistent frosting problem in my 17 year old Viking Designer Series refrigerator. Repairman (Joe) was very knowledgeable and was able to diagnose the problem as a circuit board issue. Also fixed the ice maker and installed a front-accessible shut-off valve for the water line. First tech came out and charged me for an entire heating element housing when just the element needed to be replaced. Agreed to the job, since I am simply too lazy to do it myself... even though I have the knowledge and ability to do it. Was told it would be on order and ready to go in 2-3 business days. For a vent that I can literally stick my arm through and wipe it out with a towel.Nope.The following week a second technician was sent out to finish the job. After taking way too long to slap that housing in, he returns to say the motor has an issue and the job would be more to fix. I was offered a refund for the job and was told it would be 2-3 business days for it to possibly finalize.Took the motor and tested it myself at an shop that I never thought I would step foot in again. Its 100% fine.The next week I still hadnt received my refund, so I call them back only to find out the refund was never processed or noted on my invoice. Once that got sorted, they offered to order the motor and come replace it for more than it should have been. I told them Im good. Had the motor tested by another tech and it was fine. I just wanted my money back at this point.Not a knowledgeable staff. I think the second tech broke my dryer more, and didnt know how to fix it properly. I guess Ill do it myself, if/when I ever really get my refund from these clowns. Possibly a scam company that lives off the service fee money when they cant seem to get the iob done. Not sure how they arent going under spending all thus money on parts, just to refund it all.

I have to give a very bad review against this company because the technician they sent created another big problem to me, at last my expensive glass cooktop was broken. The worst thing is that they are not only unwilling to take responsibility but also make up a false story that the glass was already broken in the beginning when the technician came.The reason I picked this company is because of the good reviews. My glass stove has 2 problems such as the element in the right side stopped heating and its hot surface light always stays on. I called this company to schedule to send a pro to do the repairs. On 3/29/2022 the technician was here; he opened the glass top and used the electric meter kit to test the right-side element and then turned to check the left side element which was a good one without any issues. I believed he was doing the comparison. Sadly, during the test with the left side one, suddenly a shock happened with sparks and fires, the chip and wire turned black. I felt very uncomfortable and worried because creating another problem before repair the original problem is very frustrating. But the technician comforted and showed me the power can still go through, no problem at all. He promised he will sand the burnt area when he comes back to replace a new element for the right-side next time when the order arrives. The material is $107 + tax and the labor is $150. Before he left, he put the glass back unscrewed. Since the right side element still hasn’t been replaced, that night I used the left side burner to cook for dinner. I did notice something went wrong after cooking 2 dishes. The surface of left side burner turned abnormal burning red and around 11pm, I walked to the kitchen for water, I found the left side glass was broken. I reported it to this company right next day Wednesday and also canceled the order because the main top glass is broken. After doing some research, I figured out the shock with sparks and fires may have damaged the temperature limiter, so the thermal glass was overheated and then burst up after it completely cooled down. In the beginning after reporting this issue to this company, I was told they would send someone to do the investigation, however after one week waiting, it ended up that no one is coming, no only so, the technician made a false story that the glass was already broken when he was here. No any compensation will be issued to me.I finally realized that neither this company nor the technician are responsible ones, so I decided to give them a bad review. Please remember the lesson I’ve learned today.
