So my outside unit was getting power it seemed. I called and asked them to come out. I explained to the young lady the phone that it was not an emergency due to it was my AC not working but my heat worked fine. I think she misunderstood and thought I said my heat was not working. The technician Chris M. was at my house in 30 minutes. He diagnosed what he could due to it being cold outside he could not repair the AC side. He was knowledgeable and informative on what needed to happen once the weather got warmer. I was told it would be a $99 trip charge. Since there was no repair that could be done at time he didn’t charge me anything. I will be calling back in the spring to get this taken care of. This was my second time using this company and the first time the theft was just as pleasant and knowledgeable. I recommend this company to anyone. They are out here to make money. Both times they came out they reduced my price or didn’t charge me for something stating that they didn’t want me to waste money! Who does that for their customers? Awesome experience every time!

True to their name, we got absolute 1st Class service!! We called them just after 5pm on a Friday to get our 3rd quote to replace our two AC units. We talked with Randy and he answered all our questions, was very helpful, honest and easy to talk with. Was able to provide a quote over the phone and even though it was Friday evening, he sent someone out to walk us through everything. Aaron arrived shortly after and was super helpful, friendly, and easy to talk with. We settled everything, and they were able to get two crews to come out the following morning on Saturday. All the technicians were great, friendly and hard working. With 2 dogs in the house and 3 young kids, the technicians were very friendly. They replaced both units all in one day. Super happy with 1st Class, the customer service, promptness, pricing, and overall experience. Would definitely recommend!

Had a nice service technician, named Aaron, come out today and help me with my air conditioning system. I am a single mother of three and every penny I have counts. He went over all my available options and even walked me through potential financing. He was kind, trustworthy and extremely knowledgeable. I called 5 different companies to have someone come out and its well over 100° outside. 1st Class Heat & Air sent a technician out within an hour! Josh was my technician. Josh was extremely professional, informative, and respectful! He showed me everything on the unit to know what to look for in the future and had my system up and running within 15 minutes. I got home from work and my house was hot. Called a few companies to get service, but they kept telling me they are to busy today I would have to wait. Called 1st class the man said he could have someone there but in a hour or so. I must have lucked out. Aaron was AMAZING!!! He called before he got here the ask if I wanted a cold drink from the store since he was already there, I mean who does that. He came in asked a few questions and went right to work. He found what was wrong assured me that it’s not a big deal and that he could fix it right away. He made a few recommendations on what he could do to help the system out and a few things that I could do to help the unit run better. I didn’t feel pressured into doing anything. I would recommend him to anyone. 1st class has a good one. As long as they send Aaron I’ll be a customer forever

My AC quit working in the middle of the night. I called their office first thing in the morning. They had someone out within an hour. John, the technician did a great job quickly diagnosing the problem. He replaced the transformer and had my air conditioner working in no time. They have been my AC /heating company for several years now. I trust 1st Class Air to do a good job and to be honest in the costs involved. They also are very personable.

Our air conditioner and furnace blower went out last night we live in Texas and it is hot! Our technician Chris Miller was absolutely a godsend to us. He came he diagnosed he ordered a new blower went and got it and installed it and checked our AC and we are up and running again all in one day! We told him my husband was having a surgery in Fort Worth and we were going to be gone from tomorrow through Friday and he made this happen for us I cant tell you how utterly grateful we are and how much we appreciate his service and yours service thank you very much!

Last night my AC unit failed and I needed to reach someone to fix it.From all the companies that I called, only one was available to come to my house and fix it the same day.1st Class Heat and Air Inc. sent a Technician and when he arrived, immediately introduced himself and shook my hand, very nice, professional and knowledgeable about the job he was about to perform. 1st Class is just as their name suggests. Our AC was struggling to keep up and with summer in full swing, we knew we needed to get it serviced. The technician was prompt to come and evaluate what needed to be addressed. Unfortunately, a replacement was necessary, but they offered financing and got it installed the same day. The admin staff has been super responsive and gracious with getting financing arranged. They had the city out the next day to inspect and approve the install. From my initial call to a complete install of our attic and outdoor unit was 12 hours. Teresa, Randy and the entire 1st Class team are indeed 1st class!

After using another AC company for years (forget getting service after hours or on weekends), I found 1st Class Heat & Air online. They had a 4.5-star rating and their website said same day service, so I gave them a call. This was after hours on a Thursday; I really didn’t expect a return call until the next day. A technician called me right back and was at our home within an hour. After he assessed the problem, he quoted me a price, and said that we needed to shut the unit off, and he would be back in the morning. They do have a service call fee, which I expected would be double, they only charged me for one.The technician arrived as promised, not only did he fix the problem quickly, but the price was lower than he had quoted. I asked him if they had a sr. citizen discount, he said they did and took an additional 10% off!I would HIGHLY recommend 1st Class Heat & Air; they are our HVAC company choice going forward. My a/c unit broke Sunday evening. I filled out the online form on 1st Class Heat & Air’s website on Monday morning. By 10AM my a/c was repaired. I’m extremely grateful for the prompt service because forecasted temps this week are well over 100 degrees. The technician John was professional and answered all of my questions. My a/c unit is over 18 years old. I appreciate that John was able to fix it so quickly and he didn’t pressure me into buying a new system. John is a pleasure to work with and has certainly earned my trust. I know I’ll need to replace it someday, and plan to have that work done by 1st Class Heat & Air.

I have used 1st Choice Air for over five years including regular maintenance and a full system replacement. Each time they come out they take the time answer my questions and have never pressured me into any extra services unless I specifically asked for them. My last technician, Chris, has been maintaining my unit for the last 2 years and has been a top notch professional. A capacitor finally went out (2023) but Chris has kept me aware of it for the last 2 years and hasn’t recommended replacing until now, before it went out unexpectedly in the summer time. I couldn’t ask for a better experience and recommend them to anyone I know. Keep up the good work.

Thanks to Service Tech Chris Miller for saving the day on a HOT Texas Sunday!! Chris was quick to arrive after our desperate call for help and did a great job diagnosing....and then fixing the AC problem with our main unit. My system didn’t feel like it was working so I look around reading reviews and kept seeing Aaron’s name in all the reviews. I called first class to have them come check out my unit. Thank god they sent Aaron. Talk about a professional. He was on time and very polite. He talked me through the entire process. When he did find some problems he came straight tight to me. Gave me the pros and cons of repairing the system. He didn’t try to sale anything. He gave me the solutions. I said yes he got straight to work. He had me fixed up in no time. I dont like giving negative reviews as I know there are real people on the other end trying to make a living.But todays experience was off the charts... my a/c unit broke today. I called this company and they were able to get a tech out in 30 mins (which I appreciated).Their tech Chris arrived and took a look at the unit.He came back and said it would cost me $749 even to fix it.In a state of sticker shock, I asked for a price breakdown. He said the capacitor was broken. And I needed a compressor starter kit. And service charge. I asked him for the parts name to see if they would price match. He visibly looked upset.At this point, he mumbled something, slammed my front door on me and left. I didnt know what had happened.He returned a few minutes later upset and impatient barely able to hold a conversation. I shared my surprise at his reaction to my earlier question. He did not acknowledge it. He proceeded to say that the conversation was over and just left.Needless to say, but I got my a/c unit fixed with another company.I am not an expert at a/c units. So, I ask questions to learn. If I can learn, then I can make better choices to do what is right for me.Rude. Unprofessional. Upsetting experience. That was my impression and experience with this company.

I contacted 1st Class Saturday morning, since the company who installed my AC 3 years ago went out of business, and they sent out John Dutil who arrived a few hours later. Within 30 minutes he had my AC working again. John was so professional, personable and informative. From now on, 1st Class will be my only AC company.

I can’t say enough about 1st Class Heat & Air especially Mr. John Dutil. I called the office at 6:41pm to report our system was not working and Mr. John showed up within the hour. We explained our situation and he worked with us to get us up and running. My husband and I are so grateful to have gotten Mr. John as our tech. He has a wonderful spirit and he explained exactly what was going on with our 24 year old system and what we needed to do until we could get our unit replaced. My AC went out while we were out of town. It was 93 degrees in the house when we got home. Even though it was 745 at night they answered my call and sent someone out within the hour. Chris the technician was very professional and knowledgeable and found the trouble quickly. He had the parts on his truck and our unit was back on line within an hour. I used this company a few years ago when my AC was not cooling at all. Another company had come out prior to 1st Class and added 2 gallons of Freon, but didnt do anything about the leak that was apparently there. So when the system stopped cooling again, I called 1st Class Heat & Air. The long and the short of it is that we had them install a new AC, and we were very satisfied with every aspect of our dealings with them.We have continued to use them for regular service check-ups, and last year we had them install a new furnace. All has been fine, and we have been completely impressed with their professionalism, courtesy, rates, timeliness, knowledge, staff, and the service they have performed. We had them come out this week for the regular service check-up on the AC. Once again, everyone we dealt with was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. When so many companies fail to meet even a minimum level of expectation, 1st Class Air impresses at every turn.This company and their staff are 1st Rate. They are a diamond in the rough!

I had a wonderful experience with 1st Class Heat & Air. I had been putting off having my heating unit checked and discovered it not working during this recent cold snap. I chose 1st Class after reading about the company and seeing some good reviews.They were able to send someone out quickly to help. Daniel did an excellent job of explaining to me what the problem was and what options I had. I chose to have a new unit installed, even though they offered to fix the old one. Since it was 15 years old I knew it would need to replaced sooner rather than later. Dane called me quickly and I was able to get great financing, he was friendly and helpful, answering all of my questions. The installers were there first thing the next morning, just as promised. They were polite and got right to work. Daniel came by while they were still working and made sure all my questions were answered and even got the filters out that I had been putting off changing. I have used 1st Class Air on many occasional on my personal property and my rental properties. Always , fast responsive service at very reasonable rates. I just had them replace my entire ac system at my personal residence when my 30 year old system finally quit on me. They got out there the same day and worked through the night into the morning to get my system replaced and me back into my home. I am throughly impressed by the responsiveness and and my new system..I was back in my house in literally less then 12 hours. I was amazed… I can’t recommend them highly enough…

I was very disappointed to find out that the alleged issues the technician claimed were present on my mother-in-laws AC unit were, for the most part, a complete fabrication. While there was a legitimate issue with the blower motor not functioning, she and I were both told by the technician that there were burns on the back of the control board, cracks were visually found on the heat exchanger, low Freon levels, a noisy outside unit, and that the furnace needed to be replaced. She was quoted almost $15K for a new system or almost $6K for a furnace-only swap.After receiving this information a second opinion was obtained - there were no burns on the back of the control board - so that was a flat out lie; there were no visible cracks on the heat exchanger (and the proper way to test for a cracked heat exchanger is with a combustion gas analyzer while the furnace has been on for a few minutes - a visual inspection is only sufficient if there are cracks seen at the front of the heat exchanger, where cracks would be easily visible, but there was no evidence of cracks found by the second technician) - so another flat out lie; the Freon level was exactly where it needed to be (the initial technician could not possibly have tested for proper Freon levels without the blower fan functioning, which it was not) - so another flat out lie. And of course the outside condenser unit was noisy, as it was attempting to run in an incorrect state, while the inside blower was not functioning - it would of course make weird/loud noises before ultimately overheating and going into a safety shutdown mode until it cooled off and tried to run again - so a misleading statement that was designed to make the homeowner think their outside condenser unit was failing or had failed, without offering a valid explanation for the noise. Once the blower was replaced, the outside condenser operated normally, with no abnormal noises.Ultimately the problem was completely resolved with the second technician (not from 1st Class Heat & Air) installing a replacement blower motor for less than $300 total service call - this was MUCH less than the cheapest $6K furnace only replacement cost that my MIL was quoted initially (and only a small fraction of the almost $15K she was quoted for a full system replacement). Thank the Lord for knowledgeable people who DONT want to take advantage of the elderly, females, and uninformed.Do yourself a favor and stay away from these folks, especially if you are a woman and/or elderly. And ALWAYS get a second (or third) opinion!

I wont recommend this service. The only thing they want is to sell you new unit instead trouble shooting and repair.My rental propertys unit stopped making cool air, so we called them in. After some inspection, the technician claimed the coil was jammed, and need to be replaced. They provided a quote of 4,800. We immediately felt it pretty suspicious about his diagnosis.We found another AC company next day, and he found out the issue was caused by expansion valve. He replaced the expansion valve and recharged 410a. The whole job cost $800.

It started 5 months ago in October, when they came out to check my A/C that crippled during a heat wave.Their response was same day, when other A/C companies said it would be a few days before they could come out to look at it.1st Class Air fixed my issue and got us cooled down.So when it was the end of the road for that A/C unit, our ONLY thought was to use 1st Class Air. Awesome experience.Called and was able to schedule same day service, fortunate since my AC went out on a 97 degree evening. Service techs arrived on time and were very professional. After providing the symptoms, they immediately started checking my system and within a few mins were able to tell me exactly what the problem was. However, when I received the bill for services, things took a turn.The problem with my A/C ended up being a burnt out motor of which needed to be replaced. The motor itself cost about $300. The total bill for the job was $924.90. When I called to ask for an itemized breakdown to understand what the $624.90 was paid towards, the people I spoke with completely avoided the question. Their response was that they did not do that and then started to try and give explanations about overhead and how business works. I let them know that I was well aware of how business worked and understood the concept of overhead. However, as a customer, I want to know exactly what I am paying for. I was further met with resistance with them stating, all sales were contract sales and they did not provide itemized breakdowns.If you are looking for someone to come out and get the job done, they proved to me they can do that. If you are looking for a fair price, I caution you to be aware of what you are being charged with this organization. Any organization that cannot provide a breakdown of what you are paying for should be questioned.

The hot Texas summer killed my 20 year old evaporator coil in the attic. I called 1st Class Heat & Air and they had Rodney out within a couple of hours. Rodney confirmed the coil was bad and had the new part and a two man crew installing the new coil the same day.Rocky and Frank did a tremendous job installing the new coil and bringing the whole system up to city code. The quality of work and attention to detail on sealing where I was leaking air into the attic was outstanding.I was very pleased with the price as well. 1st Class Heat and Air had a fast response time. We are always weary of being taken advantage of but they sent out their most knowledgeable technician. His name is Jordan. You can’t miss him because he’s 6’6” tall. He’s a ex-marine. He walked us thru every detail. Upon his presenting all options we made the best decision. Our AC unit was 15-16 years old and we knew there was a leak because we had been filling up on coolant every year. Right before summer. Well the band aid that we kept applying finally fell off. So we made the decision to replace the unit. Now I must say up to this point Jordan had given us every bit of info and let us make the choice. No pressure. It turns out 1st Class Heat & Air offers “same as cash” financing and we took advantage. Jordan had told us their installers we very good. He told us that out of all the installers he’s come across in his career that he would choose 1st Class’s installers for his own mothers house. And I have to say they are impeccably good and very productive. These guys brought the unit and delivered it around 6:30 pm. They installed and worked every second to complete the install at around 9:30-10:00pm. After they finished they showed the work and everything was straight and level, no space was wasted. The guys name that did our install was Rocky. He was my contact for the install crew. These guys were in our hot attic working for about two hours. They were drenched from the heat in attic and I made sure I supplied them with ice cold drinks. If you are worried about being taken advantage of at the very least call these guys. Atleast give them a chance to give u a price and tell you what’s wrong. Ask for Randy (owner) and tell them you read this review. Ask him if he can send Jordan out. Their prices are not the highest but they will give you peace of mind because by the time they leave you will understand what’s happening. This is my review of 1st Class Heat and Air:When my outside unit, that services the upstairs died, they did a great job installing a new unit. Then my other older unit had issues, so I called them. They came out and got the old unit up and running. They also inspected the newer unit then left. The next day, the less than 1 year old unit magically stopped working. I called them back out and he said the regulator (capacitor) died. Seemed very peculiar that I had no issues until it was inspected. They charged me almost $100 for an $11 capacitor plus extra for labor. And the tech just so happened to have the exact capacitor that my unit needed right in his bag. Its like he knew what the problem was going to be! I understand that caps blow and that is usually the cause of the fan or compressor not starting but it was too coincidental. That was 2 years ago. I just sold my house and, of course, 2 weeks before we move, the old unit stops again! I call them back out and pay the $40 service call. He tells me that the fan motor is shot and needs to be replaced. He says its a special low-profile motor and they dont have any. He has to get one and the repair will be $725!!! I questioned the price and he explained how expensive the parts are. I looked online and they average ~$100 and are readily available from countless sources. I ordered it on Saturday night, had it on Monday afternoon and after 15 minutes, had the unit back up and running myself! On what planet does a $100 part and 15 minutes of labor add up to $725??? Your parts markup is absolutely ridiculous and it takes advantage of people who dont know any better. You have lost my business and my respect.

Customer support is great, they understand the problem quickly and they always have a technician available. I had several issues with the air conditioning units in my art studio during summer. Some of the ACs couldnt blow cold air, one of them coudlnt be turned on and the one in my office was working just okay and suddenly was off without reason. I called 1st class and they send few technicians to my place. They were able to spot the problem immediately. They fixed it in few hours and since then everything works great.

Had an excellent experience with these guys both times they came out in the past couple years. The first time we called them it was to fix something another AC company messed up. Then more recently, the AC stopped working around 5 PM on a Friday, of course. They had them scheduled for between 5-7 pm that same night! It was almost 90 degrees in one section of the house. So I was glad they could make it the same day. They came out and tried a few things to get our 20 year old system to keep ticking, but it had run too long and it was time to replace the outside unit. They scheduled for the AC installation the same night too. I couldn’t believe it! I have had to leave messages and wait until Monday for other AC companies to even respond to a service call. They ran into some issues, but stayed until the job was done. Luckily we were all able to sleep in our own rooms with the air working again. They have definitely earned me as a customer and I have recommended them to neighbors and friends already.

March 12, I had an indoor air conditioning unit installed. Now, the air conditioner is not working after being repaired and reviewed other times.On August 10, 2017, I placed a service call to 1st class Heat & Air. I was charged 39.90. The air conditioner was not cooling the house. The technician stated that it was nothing wrong with the air conditioning system. He briefly inspected the outside and inside system in the attic.On March 12, 2018, the air conditioning unit stopped working again (the air conditioner was not ran since August). I called the company again for another check. That day, Wes noticed it was out of freon, and found a leak in the attic. He stated the indoor attic unit needed to be replaced due to burned out coils. Once again, he never fully inspected the outside unit.I decided to purchase the unit for the attic. It was installed on March 14, 2018 for $3,250.On March 30, the air conditioning system stopped working again. I called the company, and they sent out a different technician. THIS TIME, the technician FULLY inspected the outdoor unit and noticed the air compressor was broken.The company stated they would sent the original technician the next day to review the system. Now, Wes stated the remaining portion needed to be replaced for an ADDITIONAL 3,200!!Sadly, they either misdiagnosed or did not try to make adjustments to the older system to make it compatible to the new system. Avoid this company if you dont want to spend a huge amount of money.

Id give them zero star if I could. Go and find a more competent AC company.My two 4-year old AC units were not efficient early this year so I called 1st Class to check them up in May. They told me my refrigerant level was low and there must be leaks somewhere in both systems and suggested put a die in each system to perform leak search. My refrigerant level was also low last year, so I gave them the green light. However, when they came back two weeks later, they couldnt find where was leaking. So I spent $500 for nothing and another $500 to fill up the refrigerant, which turned out to be nothing as well because it all got leaked again in months.Yesterday, I called another company to check my units again and it didnt take them long to locate the leak. They used a meter only instead of a die to locate the leak, because they think the die is bad to the system. I didn’t have to wait two weeks either because of this approach. It turned out the leak was due to the coil and I learned later that 90% of the cases the leak is in the coil. And this company told me that they could feel the oil and water coming out of the coil, besides the result coming out of the meter. This sounds so obvious so I don’t understand why 1st Class couldn’t find it. Anyways, this other company helped replace the broken coil today and luckily the parts is still under warranty. I’m glad that I called another company this year because the warranty is going to expire in months.So don’t be tricked by the low service call fee. It is more important to find a competent AC company, because their incompetency will cost you more down the road, not to say their higher refrigerant price compared to other companies.

So at 6:30 in the evening I notice our downstairs temp is actually starting to climb above where I have the thermostat set..knew I had an issue. It’s in the high 90’s and heading for the 100’s in the next few days and me and the wife are leave in the morning on a flight but teens staying home...started to panic. I was ecstatic.An older guy by the name of John (I think) showed up around 9:30 that night...hops out of the truck and asks me what had happened. Told him...he goes right to the unit outside...says “capacitor”...easy fix! Sure enough that was it. He checks to make it is working and my unit is 20 years old so it is on the downward leg of things...does not even bring up replacement...just showed me how many amps it is drawing and should consider it. Then goes inside and shows the temp coming out of the vents.So here is the recap...my AC goes out middle of summer after hours. Call and get a human on the phone and have a repairman there in a couple hours and a house getting cooled again for a couple hundred dollars. No hard sell to get a new unit and all is great. I wish I could give you folks 10 stars. Very satisfied new customer.

First time they came the guy was very nice did a good job did not do more work than was necessary so I decided to call them for more service. Called them back about 3-4 weeks ago, different guy, he said the coil was filthy dirty showed us a picture and said it was 1800 to clean the coil cuz he had to pull it out drain the freon, ofcourse we said no.......Not all seniors have this kind of money.We asked if he could clean it in the unit with a sprayer and coil cleaner like others have done, he said no, so we bought the stuff tore down the unit to spray it ourselves and it was not the least bit dirty...........he showed us someone elses coil unit......that is not good practice, make sure you look inside your system to see what they are showing you.I will never call them again, new service tech just left and he agreed that the coil was very clean and was not in need of service. he cleaned the drain pipe repaired the drain pan ( which was our original issue when we called this company) and did some other extra work for less than HALF what this guy wanted just to clean the coil. NO I would not recommend them to anyone, unless it was an enemy.

I tried to express my concerns in an email and I called to talk to Randy in the company. Waste of time, because frankly he was very arrogant and tries to explain why the costs of two parts(which I researched.and cost around $75 for both) cost me $834 Randy said the rest was labor??? Really..The service man was not working on my unit much more than 45 mins at the most..I know the cost should of been less after speaking to another two ac service companies and finding that we had been overcharged!!! Please dont use this company unless you just like paying more ...

Complete thieves. BEWARE!!! He showed up in 45 minutes and said He wasnt a salesman but this thing is 12 years old. Your motor is bad and your capacitor is bad. My motor is 725.00 and the capacitor is 221.00. I said wow I got a capacitor before and it was like a 120.00. Then he says that most likely the compressor is bad and you are getting to over 2000.00 and what do you want to spend on an old unit. I said thanks and give me your ticket. He was here less than 30 minutes and I got the great 39.00 service call fee and a 59.00 diagnosis fee. I went to a place in Garland and got parts (108.96) and installed myself in one hour with very good instructions from the parts house. Not sure if fan motor and capacitor were both bad but I got both for that price and it is blowing cold now.

With this frigid cold front, it knocked out our power and the heater stopped working. I called Teresa last night and left her a voicemail regarding our problem. She called me back the next morning and had a repairman out to our house within a few hours. Ricky fixed our limit switch and the temperature continues to rise. First Class was recommended to us by a friend and they have been to our home for routine service as well as to replace an original unit that was 14 years old.Of course our unit went out during the month of July and a holiday weekend!!We were very happy when we called the office and someone was actually in the office and not only that they sent a technician out within the hour! After inspection and testing of the unit it was found to be bad and in need of replacing as we suspected it would be.They immediately arranged for the old unit to be removed the next morning and a new unit placed in the attic. The technicians were very professional in appearance as well as performance. Within a short time they had our home cooling down and all of the old equipment hauled out of the attic and never left so much as a dirty footprint on the carpet! I thank God for this company and their awesome employees!

The AC went down on a Saturday night. They sent Chris Miller on Monday and he quickly discovered the problem part, but did not stop there. He continued testing and found the root cause of the problem. He replaced the faulty part and repaired the faulty wiring. An excellent job done in a timely manner at a reasonable cost. I had a problem with my ac unit that was only six years old, I called a company my neighbor referred me to. It took them a day to come out, when they finally did the technician went outside for less than 2 minutes. Then proceeded to pitch me on getting a new one and telling me I needed all sorts of return air and junk. I thought that strange considering my house was only 6 years old, so I told him I would think about and sent him on his way. Five minutes after he left I called a friend and she told me to call first class, they had a technician (An older gentleman) out to my house within 45 minutes. He was very nice, clean, and under standing. He went outside for thirty minutes came back in and told me he had found the problem and that the fix would only be around $300. That was a much better price than the $13500 The other guys were trying to get me for, I now recommend Troy and first class to any and everyone.

Randy the owner is the most rude person I have dealt with in a long time. I will never do business with this company again. I paid for A/C service for a home I was purchasing to learn the condition of the unit. The tech wrote on the sales receipt that the unit was properly working with a 15-16 degree split. Turns out the unit is not cooling properly and 1st class does not want to honor their diagnosis. Now I am stuck with an A/C unit that does not cool and 1st class does not honor their work. Will file a complaint with the BBB so others do not get scammed as I was.

Avoid this company.. Came out for diagnosis, charged me for freon and systems running. Two days later the system isnt cooling. Call them back out and they tell me they believe there is a leak. Another $250 for a Leak Dye test.. They come back out and state that the coil is leaking and the replacement will be 2-3k+. Got a second opinion who found no leak and said the coil just needs to be cleaned, $300. Everything is up and working again without having to replace the coil for $2-3,000.00 like these guys quoted me. A/C has held for over 3 months now. I even called them to explain my frustration and all I got was some rude lady that started to argue with me and raising her voice with me...I hope this review STOPS you from using this company.

I called them to put freon in my account unit and asked the guy how much it would cost to get done. When they finished the job they doubled the cost that I was told. When I called and talked to the guy over the phone and asked him why the price was higher, he said he didnt say that and that he tells a million people a day the price. He then told me to never call them again because I questioned them about pricing, ironically I was already thinking I was never calling them again. People at my house were great. THINGS TO KNOW WHEN USING 1ST CLASS: I called in not having a clue what was wrong with my air conditioner. This can be scary because you never know what they could sell you or tell you what is wrong and if you know no better you can be manipulated. Perry came to my house and did a thurough inspection of everything. He told me about my evaperator coil which he walked me through how my system works showed me my coil and the rust offered to do a clean on it for me but that i eventually would have the same problem due to the bad coil. He gave me options not even knowing my situation. He spoke to me like I was not an idiot and explained everything so that I could understand. He was a gentleman on time and very polite. Even the office when I called was very friendly. There is a woman who answers the phone that is always happy and helpful and the owner is just a request away. The office even followed up with me to double check Perrys work and review his conduct as well as make sure that I received my new customer goodies. I felt like family after using this company and will never go anywhere else!!

We had our A/C go out on a Friday in July. Not the best time for this to happen in Texas. 1st class was very attentive, quick to respond, and they were able to get a new Condenser and attic unit installed on that Sunday. It is still taking some fine tuning to get used to the dual zone balance on the high efficiency platform, but we are getting there. The only bump in the road was getting the city inspection setup. We were given a date and time for the inspection, but when nobody from the city showed, we later found out that it was never scheduled with the city, so we just scheduled it our selves. other than that, experience has been good.

My air conditioner died in the middle of the night. I called 5 venders and only 1rst Class picked up their phone(no answering machine) and were able to fit me in the same morning. Very important because the temp was supposed to go to 101. The technician called when he was on his way and actually arrived early. He was polite and professional. Really think this is the best company to help install and service your AC equiment with. Teresa was extremely nice and respectful, answering my questions with details. I had ordered an installation and Victor was there the next day. I hate to post a bad review, but too much money was at stake not to warn others. Without making it a few feet in my house, the hint was already being dropped that I would likely need to replace a major unit of my AC/heating system. This is before they even saw the unit. After they looked over the unit, I got the sad sales pitch that I would need to fork out thousands of dollars to replace the major unit in question. My unit is old but not that old, so I was skeptical. Once it was obvious that I wasnt taking the bait for the replacement, they then offered to repair my existing unit for a sizable price...so sizable that I might as well consider replacing the unit. It was a great sales tactic for the company, but not for the me as the consumer.I had another company come out the next day, and they repaired my unit for nearly half the price that this company quoted...without any talk of major unit replacement (did not let on that anyone else had already looked at the unit).

There are lots of honest heating and air conditioning companies out there, this is not one of them. They came twice to our house to address a leaky coil, the second time loaded 9lbs of freon, two days later the system stopped cooling. $1.2k for the two visits. Either they are incompetent, couldnt find an obvious leak, or corrupt, didnt actually load 9lbs. During the 2nd call, the technician said Im not a salesman, but Id recommend replacing ALL the coils, in, out, and the line, $9k (more) -- for a system that uses R22 freon that will be phased out in 2020. This company obviously doesnt look out for the best interests of its customers.

AC went out, called the next morning, scheduled and appointment. - EASY.Art came out and was uniformed, professional and offered his business card. He asked a few questions to determine where to start. Went outside opened the unit and started diagnostics. Found that the Battery was bad. Another word for it coil pak. I think this is the start Capacitor ...but Battery is basically it. Changed it, retested and there you go. - EASYI asked many questions and he answered them all. We talked about the need for a START system to help keep the spike in electricty down when the unit starts. Although he recommended it, he also said that it wasnt needed at this time. Easily could have gone for the hard sell.I dont know the actual cost of a Start Capacitor or Coil Pak . I plan on doing some research. If I feel like I was over charged for what was bascially 20 mins of work I will talk to them. However, the experience was fine and cost seemed resonable. UPDATE - I previously made some updates that stated how I called to discuss a discount for the service based on a coupon I found on the site...they offered 10% off my service. I took it. They said my service didnt count towards the $50 parts coupon...I then said that I was still happy with the service and transaction...After doing some research...The actual part that was replaced is a Run or Start Capacitor that costs anywhere from $30-$80. I was charged $268.50 + $59.90 for the service call. NOW Im NOT HAPPY. Im a bit confused. THere isnt a way to contact these guys via email..only phone but I have noticed that they respond to these reviews. From the outside in this seemed like a quality operation. They were easy to work with as I stated above...but this adds an element of deception but Ill call and find out. I WOULD LIKE 1ST CLASS to explain what a Coil Pak is and justify to me the costs stated above vs what repair/service actually occured. If we can resolve this I will adjust my rating accordingly. WOW....I just called and discussed the cost...These guys charge $300/hour. - they dont tell you that...it comes to about a 3x cost mark up on parts and or service. UNBELIEVEABLE!!!! Maybe this is industry standard. Do yourself a favor and ask about this before you call anyone...lesson learned. They were professional with me and upfront I respect that. So I changed to 3 stars. I wish I knew that the labor was $300/hr up front

Tech shows up and does minimal inspection of the unit and states that right off the bat the capacitor needs replacing at the cost of 264 dollar. I understand making a part up and factoring labor, but at a 24 dollar part how is a 1000% mark up seen as any thing other than robbery. Now after reading review on here and seeing this owners response to when some one was done wrong you can deduct for yourself whether you want this company coming out to your house. No response needed from the owner on this comment, because Im sure you will just try and justify how robbing people is okay. This comment is meant for the people doing their research and hopefully enough people will read this to put these scumbags out of business.
