We had Adam come over and clean out our dryer vent as we had some high temperatures in our brand new dryer. After Adam did that we had him inspect and then clean all of our AC duct work and install UV lights in our AC units to minimize mold in the future. All this was done efficiently and at about half the price quoted by our AC installer just a year ago. We look forward to our annual maintenance visits. Adam was great!

I’ve used UHS in the past for a client of mine who was selling their home and needed a fireplace inspection which was done quickly and thoroughly. When I got the service a second time for my own home, I was severely disappointed. I asked for a fireplace inspection so that I could safely use it and then the representative on the phone also said that a fireplace cleaning would be included in the price which I was happy about since it definitely needed a cleaning. When the contractor arrived all he did was look at the fireplace for a few minutes and then tell me that it was “too big” for the space. The fireplace is the same as every other condo townhome in our complex and has been like that since the 80’s. I was obviously not taking his word for it and he had attitude in return. I simply asked that he clean the fireplace as part of the deal which then he told me was incorrect and it was just a chimney sweep that was included. So all in all I paid $100 for nothing. No solutions for me to use my fireplace and still dirty. I suggest better communication with clients if it is a chimney sweep or fireplace cleaning that is supposed to be done.

Beware! Bottom line is that this is a bait and switch. The deal they give you is literally someone just coming out and connecting a big vacuum cleaner to one vent and turning it on. Seriously? I immediately called to complain and the supervisor from this company must think women are stupid because he argued with me when I called and he tried to say that this is normal procedure and that he had explained it to me fully when I booked. I know what it takes to do a thorough vent cleaning and yes, it is true, I guess I was not aware that this half a _ _ version of cleaning even existed. So essentially after hooking up the vacuum, they take a picture of the duct (with a phone I might add) and show you how it is still dirty and advise you that you should get a deep cleaning which then they say will cost $35 PER VENT. Had the supervisor been more professional or apologetic, I might have even allowed them to stay and do the cleaning the correct way and paid the extra amount. But his attitude and insincerity just made me angry. I sent the poor tech home so as not to waste his time. I am giving one star for the tech because he was very sweet and professional (I think his name is Chi) but unfortunately he works for a shady company. I would advise this company to just be honest and tell people the real price to do it right. For those thinking of hiring them, ASK a lot of questions prior to booking to make sure youre getting the services youre expecting. As expected......he will continue to be unprofessional and continue to argue that he is correct. NEVER asked me if I wanted to listen to a recording.....such nonsense!
