I couldn’t be happier with this company and the outcome of this service call. Prompt service, outstanding communication. I was given a two hour window of arrival and Skylar Morris was right on time. He is respectful and pleasant. He looked me straight in the eyes. I knew this young man would be trustworthy and he did not disappoint. He assessed my heating system and took care of the issue straightaway for a reasonable.cost especially considering this took place on the weekend. What a lucky break for me I’m now doing business with Skylar and Total Air and Heat Co.Quality service, quality company!5 Stars in my opinion!!!

Not recommended. Total Air was hired to replace the HVAC system and add a whole home humidifier. What a total mess.To start, the day after we signed the agreement/quote, their salesmen came to us saying he needed an extra $500 because they missed a line item and company would charge him personally if I didnt fork over extra. Inappropriate.Next, they fell through the ceiling during install (caught on camera). Stuff happens but they initially said they would only patch the big hole. I had to go back to the owner to ask for a complete piece of drywall to be installed.Then, the system leaked and caused the ceiling to collapse (picture attached).30+ visits from their crew, 4 months of stress, and two ceiling holes later and the humidifier never worked properly.DO NOT LET THESE GUYS IN YOUR HOME!

Skylar arrived an hour earlier than my service window start time, which I was thrilled about. He was polite. After repairing our whole-house humidifier, he checked to make sure the humidifier’s settings were still accurate in Ecobee. I was pleased with his service.

We received a text ahead saying who and when they would arrive. Skylar listened to our needs and concerns and attended to them professionally with cheerfulness and efficiency. We appreciate the consistent fine work and integrity at Total Air

Bought a brand new system from them. Heat went out when I was on the other side of the state… they charged my wife $650 to come fix it. They sold us the entire system… we took all of their recommendations. Absolute garbage handling of this situation. Do not use this company as they apparently no longer sell quality units or stand behind their sales.

Outstanding work by this team of three in replacing entire HVAC unit.They arrived on time and immediately laid cloth tarps to protect our floors. They answered every question I had in a professional and polite manner. I had anticipated a one or two day for completion of install. Much to our amazement they were completely finised

Ive been with Total for close to 30 year and this company has always put the customer first. I had a fall Checkup today.The office scheduled Skylar to come out.  He was absolutely amazing.   He was here and made sure that my 19i Trane system is running its best.  He also noticed that my drip pan was not hung to the correct angle.He made the adjustment to make sure that if something goes wrong, the drip pan will do its job.  He is very detailed and very courteous.  I would say he is welcome in my house anytime.  He makes Total Air & Heat shine!

I recently purchased two Carrier HVAC units from Total Air and Heat and the entire process of buying the units as well as the installation could not have gone any smoother. Jacob, my sales representative. made every effort to work with me on pricing to where I was able to purchase both units. Jose and his crew were very professional in completing the installations. They were timely when starting both installs, they put down tarps to prevent any debris from getting on my flooring and so very careful in taking out the old units and bringing them down the attic stairwell and when the job was done they did an excellent job cleaning up the work area. Highly recommend this service provider.

Thank you to Josh, Jeff, Osvaldo and team once again for providing excellent service with replacing our other a/c unit!! We have used Total Air and Heat since we moved here 8 years ago (as previous owner left them as a recommendation). They always take their time to answer all your questions and work through options with you and make you feel like family.

So far Ive gotten nothing short of stellar care from Total Air & Heat. They had a service tech out within an hour (at 5pm!) to perform a diagnostic, sent a detailed tech the next morning at 9am to start the repair process, and even brought me a temporary portable window AC unit to keep my home comfortable until the installation crew could get the part and start the next day. My service tech, Chad McWhorter, was courteous, explained the problem well, and gave me a range of options. Im very happy with Total Air.

Skylar came out a few days ago due to heating concerns. The capacitor was replaced, and a couple other recommendations were made to help extend the life of the unit, and help with efficiency. Coils/fan cleaned, and uv light added.Skylar was thorough, very polite, and patient in addressing concerns and questions.Thank you.

Trent was awesome. We moved into a very hot rent house and had not had air for two days. He was able to come in and within 10 minutes get it up and working again which we all greatly appreciate. I would definitely recommend him and this company in the future.

Our heater stopped working suddenly in the winter, so we were very thankful for the same day service! Richard checked through possible issues and found a refrigerant leak. He explained everything well and tolerated my nosy toddlers

Trent was especially great and took care of a sensor issue due to critters chewing wires and then did our 6 month maintenance and checked on every part of our unit to ensure it is operating efficiently! I wonder if the recent 4 and 5 stars within the last week will have the same experience in 6-12 months.My rating is strictly on the poor customer service, I cant get anyone to call me back and answer the questions I have regarding UV light. I reached out in April regarding having vents cleaned and was introduced to the idea of also having the UV light technology to clean the air. I explained that I was doing light construction and would call back in 3 weeks to have them cleaned when the construction dust settled.Three weeks turned into five months, so when all was done, I called in September and was told I needed to schedule a service. I explained before scheduling a service that I wanted to understand more about the UV light. The person on the phone had no clue what I was referring to. Called back several other times routed to different people from customer service to sales back to customer service. No one could give me details on the process, and the website doesnt explain anything. Finally submitted several online requests, each time the same person who doesnt know anything about the UV product would call me days later.Last communication was a 3rd or 4th email request, which I received a call that a technician would call me to explain - never heard from anyone ever.I dont know how anyone gets any work done when they cant even return calls, and people who work there are clueless. Total Air, you need to train all your employees on your products and services. If they are interacting with customers, all people should be able to cross sell regardless of department. I have done my own research and will be getting my vents and purification system done.

Their service is amazing. They were so kind and had no trouble with setting up the checkup schedule. I didnt know when and how to change the filter but they recommended it and changed it on that day.

Total Air has always gone above and beyond for us. Our tech Michael has always been professional and thorough in service and repairs for our geothermal system. Additionally, Kyli in the office has been amazing in helping to coordinate info with the warranty company. We continue to refer Total Air any chance we get.

From my first interaction with booking a quote, all the way through the installation process I was very impressed with the Total Air team. Everyone was courteous, knowledgeable, and respectful of our time and our home. We’ve only had the system installed for a week so far but we already see a noticeable difference in the comfort level of our home. Please use Total Air. It was a night and day difference from my previous experience with other A/C companies.

AC breaking down is never a good experience. But these guys made it a little easy for sure. Jacob was very helpful and knowledgeable on residential hvac system. He was honest and helpful about the repair and the guys did a great job.

Joshua was great. He notified me before he arrived, put on shoe covers before he came into my house, explained the services he was completing, showed me how to order the correct filters easily, cleaned the carpet after he had been in the attic, and reset my thermostats to my new internet. The technician showed up 15 minutes early, which is good for me. The technician diagnosed the problem in about 15 minutes, gave me a summary and a recap and what it would cost. I informed them I wanted to proceed and 10 minutes later my problem was fixed true it was a simple problem, but I’m very happy with the service. .

Trent arrived right on time, and after asking me a couple of questions, he found the problem immediately. He replaced the part, showed me how it had failed, then checked to see that the unit was working again.Trent was quick and effective. I couldn’t be happier!

Alex Sosa, Areli Jaimes and Jose Ceja did a great job of installation of our 4 ton heat pump. They were courteous and helpful with questions I had. They left no debri on the property. They represented Total Air very well.

I have used Total Heat & Air for well over 20 years. They originally replaced my new home system, and are now in the process of replacing that unit, 14 years old and on its last legs!Let me put this very simply... We all know what we want with an AC company....service, capability, honesty, transparency, fair pricing, able to jump on emergencies. Total is all that and more.. I am just saying. You dont know who to call? Call Total. You will not be disappointed.

Have to update my review of Total Air & Heat. We purchased new AC units from them 3 years ago and their service was great. Fast forward 3 years, the motor in one of the units went out, after only 3 years (these are rated for 10+ years). Luckily the parts are under warranty still, but the they are charging us $500 in labor even though it is taking less than 1 hour to do the repairs. When asked why it costs so much, we were told that we should have paid for a 10 year warranty, which costs $1,000. Still better off paying the labor, unless it goes bad again in 4 years. Long story, just be prepared that they will gouge you on labor costs if they have to come back and do any repairs, no matter how long the repairs take. ***8/25/24 - Update to my Review - an employeed reached out to me the same day I updated my review, in which I explained the negative experience we had, not with the technician, but with the labor cost they were charging for the repair (for a part still under warranty). In the end they worked with us to refund part of the labor cost, which was appreciated. Wish we didnt have to go through this hassle to begin with, but at least they were willing work with us.***

Andy came and was quick and curtious, took time to explain things to me and make recommendations for the future. I would recommend Total air and heating, not only because they are on the good contracts list, but because they do a far and honest job.

Total Heat & Air has provided great service to us. Our technician Jason Bledsoe has come a number of times to first diagnose and then repair and do maintenance on the exterior units of our A/C system. He’s also completely checked the interior components of our system. He’s extremely professional, polite, thorough and careful. He’s also outstanding at explaining, teaching and communicating. I give total air five stars. I called them because my air conditioner went out and they were here and had it repaired in three hours. Carl the service tech was great. Every time I have used total air in the past I’ve been 100% satisfied with my experience.

The technician, Trent Gunkel, did a great job. Very fast and efficient. I was so impressed I signed up for the annual maintenance program for both of my units.

Absolutely flawless experience with Total Air & Heat. They always showed up exactly when they said they would. They performed a huge job for us and made it look easy. They used to be our go to AC company until recently. They did a poor install on a brand new unit causing water to leak from our ceiling. Unresponsive and difficult to deal with. Didn’t take responsibility for the damage they caused. It’s been 3 weeks. They dried and re insulated the plenum and it started leaking water from our ceiling 3 days later. Thankfully we didn’t have the ceiling repaired by their vendor immediately as they requested.

Very cool experience. Tech took the time to show me what had been broken in one of my systems. Also took the time to check all the systems and saved them from major damage because I hadnt realized the filter contamination because of construction. Every contact I have with Total I learn something new and recognize Im working with the best of the best.

Michael was super thorough and attentive to the issue at hand, he was quick to diagnosis the problem and trouble shoot some additional issues we were having with not only the new system, but the older/existing system. He was able to convey all the info well and even passed along concerns I had with the installation of the new system.

Called Total Air & Heat first due to the length of time they have been in business. Secondly, the fact they are on The Good Contractors List. I was not disappointed. Trent came out promptly when they said they would. I described the issue and he went right to work. Replaced a worn thermostat. He also described a few things with my condensation drain sensor and gave me some knowledgeable advice on things to do to maintain the system. Spoke of their yearly maintenance plan but never placed pressure on the sell. He was well trained, articulate and well mannered. Hats off to him, the company he works for. Keep up the good work. Omar and his crew Jose and Areli did a great job installing my new HVAC system!My only disappointment is with the new Trane UX360 thermostat, which is has less capability than my older Trane XL824’s.I was using the XL824 as a Trane Z-wave Home Automation hub to control lighting, locks, and other Z-wave devices.The UX360 is supposed to have Z-wave, but not even the Trane help desk people knew how to transition my Z-wave devices to the new thermostat; they seemed to think it would not work as a home automation hub. We ended up moving the home automation to an XL824 in my other HVAC system.

Carl was good with whom to work and tried to resolve our problem. The only question I wonder about has to do with could the Freon leak have been repaired which might have allowed us to continue longer without the replacement cost we now have. I suspect not but…?

After doing much research last year to replace a 23 year old Carrier AC & furnace (that was still working well - but whose days I thought were numbered). I was impressed with Total Air & the Carrier Infinity AC & had that installed. It was a wise decision - Total Air continues to provide outstanding service - and go above & beyond to make sure I’m happy. A++++ for Total Air and Carrier.

Jason was on time. He communicated our issues clearly and fixed our problem during our appointment. I felt the price was reasonable.

This was such a seamless experience compared to the hell I went through with the last company I worked with. Jacob was my service manager - he did a great job getting me a fair price (being that a total AC replacement wasn’t something I had anticipated). The install guys were also great - really knew what they were doing and were very thorough. The day of the install - it was too windy for the crane to operate but they were still able to do the indoor portion of the install and scheduled me two weeks out for the outdoor portion. Another thing that was so different from any other company - was the communication. When I called - I wasn’t put in a Que and tossed between one agent to the next. Communication was quick, effective and accurate. All around it was a great experience

We’ve had a service contract with Total air for years. We’ve always found them reliable and competent and professional, and they charge a fair price. Most recently, Omar and his crew did an amazing job installing a new HVAC system. In less than 6 hours, they had the old one out of the attic, new one in, drop cloths up and everything clean, and he took the time to explain the intelligent thermostat to us and make sure the settings were as we wanted. Teamwork!

I recently had my four-ton Carrier system replaced by Total Air & Heat with a new Carrier system. When we noticed that the bedrooms were not cooling to the temp setting on the thermostat, Total sent Oswaldo and his crew to make corrections in the ductwork. They did the job quickly and with a minimum of downtime. Now, the system is working perfectly.

Trent came to the house within 30 minutes found the problem. The capacitor is what was bad on the unit probably the most common problem with A/C. Every time ive used Total Heat and air they have fixed the problem at a fair price and and most important the first trip. Ive given their number to several of my friends

After getting bids from four different companies, Totals bid was the most comprehensive and professional proposal, at competitive prices, for a new Trane AC System (Condensor, Coil, Plenum, Duct work, etc.). From the sales engagement process with Chad, to the installation and service delivery of Arturo, and the courteousness and attention to detail of Abel and Alex, this was a great experience from start to finish. The installation team worked all day, non-stop to finish the large project on time and walked me through the entire installation, maintenance requirements, and warranty paperwork answering all of my questions. Mr. Sauceda did an outstanding job in repairing my air conditioning. My air conditioner failed on one of the hottest days this year. I have been with Total Air & Heat Co. since 2009 when they installed my 2 5 ton units and 1 3 ton unit. They have serviced my units starting with a 10 year warranty and continue today on their Service Plan. Always kind and friendly with excellent Service and Repairs. More companies should follow their model of professionalism.

Andy was great. The fault on the unit was not easy to locate but he stuck to it and would not let the issue go unresolved. He did a very detailed analysis of the system, worked with the manufacturer’s support team to determine the root cause of the fault and found the fix. After a week without AC which other companies could not find, he fixed it and got my AC working the same day I called Total Air & Heat. Great quality work. Edward did a great service call today. He checked everything and also made sure all the settings were correct. Great job , thanks Edward.

After a recent roof replacement, I started smelling gas when the heat would first turn on. Got concerned and called Atmos who did not find a leak. Then called Total Air. The technician arrived early(which was great) and found that the exhaust pipe had been knocked out of place during the repair. He quickly fixed it and charged the minimum. Thankful he(Carl)kept looking and did a great job.Update: had a new issue with my AC and same technician(Carl) came out and cleaned the line pretty quickly.Total Air and Heat is the only HVAC company I’ve used that I actually trust.

The technician was able to give me a run down of how to maintain my unit to allow for most efficient use. He explained it in a very relatable way, which I greatly appreciated. He also programmed my thermostat and was able to clear faults and see what issues my unit has had recently.

The technician, Kelvin, was awesome! He even took off the lids of our 3 air conditioning units and used a large shop vacuum to remove the leaves inside the units. He was thorough and considerate. The job was very well done!A+++

I had an emergency when it was 104 degrees outside and one of my AC units stopped working. Edward Lowe, the technician, came over within 60 minutes, diagnosed and fixed the problem. Very proficient, professional and courteous! Highly recommend these guys!

Richard completed a small modification to the inlet gas pipe to provide a solids trap and bring the installation up to code on my heater. He was efficient and tested the modified piping for leaks. Job well done. He liked our dog also.

Ive been with Total Air and Heat for several years now, and have been very satisfied with their service. For example, just last evening my air conditioner quit working due to a blockage in the drainage line, so I called Total Airs after-hours service line. Their technician, Ryan, came to my house around 7pm or so, immediately recognized the problem, and fixed it. He was very competent and knew exactly what to do. Consequently, my AC has been running fine all day today with no problems.Not just Ryan, but everyone Ive worked with at Total Air has been extremely competent. I would not hesitate to give them an excellent recommendation.

I received multiple quotes to replace my 16 year old ac system, Total, hands down was the best price for top tier equipment.Jacob was my sales rep and he was very knowledgeable took his time to explain even more then I learned while researching a new system. He was very communicative, regarding his arrival time, and getting back with me on my questions in a timely manner.The installation crew again was on time, they let me know how long it would take. The installation was very clean, the put drop clothes down, and the unit appears as though it was installed by experienced professionals unlike my previous unit. When it was done they took the time to go over the new thermostat, answered my questions and cleaned everything up.They even followed up to check on my satisfaction and see if I had questions after I had a chance to use the unit. It was easy to book my appointment for a day and time that worked best for me. My appointment was set between 1-5 and the technician was at my house at 1. In and out in 15 minutes. I will definitely only be using this company from now on.

They arrived within 15 minutes after I called. My previous AC company said they had 24 hours service and put me on as priority. I waited for 2 days, never got a phone call or text as to when they were coming. I cancelled my appointment and told them I would no longer use them. I then call Total Air and Heat Co, they texted me that they were on the way and gave me the means to track their location. I told Michael that they were now my goto AC company. They were here quickly and had the problem fixed in less than 2 hours. My AC is working great again.

My only complaint this trip is that we received a text saying the tech was on his way, but he didnt arrive for another hour & half. An update of the delay would have been appreciated. We will continue to use them, so hopefully scheduling will improve.

In October of 2017 I signed up for a maintenance program that deducted $16.50 monthly to cover 2 maintenance services a year. I was happy with their services until 2022.In the spring I needed to add Freon to a fairly new AC condenser (6-7 years old). When I asked what causes that, tech told me that I could start by servicing the unit. When I told him I was on a service agreement he said …..with who!!!In October when I scheduled heat maintenance, I called the office on the day of service to check technician arrival time. I was told that I still owed $24.65. When I asked why, I was told my service was supposed to be scheduled in January. I went ahead and paid the extra money because I had taken the day off to get this done. (I was later told that the prices increased…….but why not say that initially.)When two service techs arrived at 2:20, I showed them the thermostat and where the attic access was for the heating unit. The unit was turned off. I was surprised when the the guys were ready to leave at 2:37. (I have a ring doorbell with arrival/exit time recorded.) They never turned the heating unit on.I told them the office had informed me of the extra charge and I had paid that over the phone. The service tech said I owed nothing.In conclusion, I paid $124.00 for 15 minutes of ??service?? I can’t see how they could have done maintenance without turning the system on. Every time I talk with someone from Total Air, I hear a different story. Sadly, Total Air & Heat used to do a wonderful job but they must be under new management or ownership. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!One star rating is generous for this year’s performance.

Had system replaced twice in 45 years at same house. New installations and follow up service were always completed promptly and without issues. We currently ask for Ryan who is great to work with. Always offers suggestions on how to get the best use out of our system. Definitely 5 star service.

I like the fact that you can communicate completely by text, that is super convenient for me. When I do call, the service desk is always very personable to talk with and make me feel like a friend. I dont think they are the cheapest outfit in the industry, but the guys that come here who work on my equipment I recognize, as Ive dealt with Total Air for years both professionally on my commercial buildings in Plano, as well as installed two systems on my house, and repaired them after damage from 3 lightning strikes.

We have been a loyal customer for many years. Their charges for coming to inspect the problem at the resident is way above market value. Unsatisfied with the cost.. even with inflation. when other companies are consistently 30 to 50 dollars less this is a complete ripoff. Watch them as they sold me a cheap capacitor even though it was under the unit warranty. Will NOT be using them!!!!kWhen I spoke to the manager, he wanted me to enroll in a maintenance plan.. and give them more money..UGH. What a bunch of crock! Complete RIP OFF!!

This is turning into a nightmare.First thing that happened was discovering that these guys didnt install the heat strips of the furnace and closed their service just like that. When have you heard that a car make tells you sorry, we forget to install the brakes to your car... of course NEVER.What happens is that there´s nothing you can do when temperature goes below 32, and that was my case.Ok, called them, and they accepted this was their fault, they came 2 times and problem was solved, at least they installed the hardwire... but guess what? now the problem is the AC unit which is not heating above 32 (the most basic thing you need at your home). After their inspection, they recommended to change the thermostat... and as they are the experts, I did that. Problem was not solved.Called them again, scheduled visit, I was cleared out that if it had something related to the thermostat I was going to be charged for the visit. Guess what? Now there´s a new problem, the diagnose is brakers are loosen, change them and that will fix the issue... something that was working and now it´s not, and it turns now to be my fault. It´s unacceptable.If someone has passed through a similar situation, please let me know, this is not the service I expect to have, getting frustrated, and seriously thinking on starting a lawsuit (considering even that not having installed heat strips puts anyone on risk due cold temperatures).I think the manager is aware of my case, and so far hasn´t take any action. Just take care when reviewing an air and heat company.

My technician was Rudy. Rudy was professional, polite and informative. He quickly completed the service call for spring maintenance and then went above and beyond my expectation by removing the leaves from the heat pump and washing out the accumulated dirt. He also let me know there was mold in the drainage lines and installed a product to keep them open for a year

I had my AC looked up before summer and Carl was great. Additionally, Robert came to my home to give me a second opinion on replacing an AC unit and was up front about cost and necessity. In the service industry, honesty is sometimes hard to come by and I felt both employees were up front and honest.

The technician actually arrived earlier than expected but he had texted his arrival time so I was ready for him.We discussed the issues and he got to work quickly. He seemed to work quickly & efficiently and before long he reported the issue was a broken connection between several pieces of the system. The labor charge was reasonable and there was no expense for parts or materials.A fast and fair repair.

Today was extremely difficult having just moved from Ohio with our 5month old the day before and losing a/c in the middle of a heatwave while trying to unpack and everything.Troy was extremely easy going and personable. I have used Total Air before, but their response to my week-end emergency was critical due to the 106 degree temperature. Their tech, Michael, took time to be thorough despite his long and difficult schedule lasting late into the evening.

Our A/C stopped working in the middle of the night. I called TA&H first thing this morning & got a 1:00- 5:00 window. They called me back at 9:30am & had a tech able to come early. By 10:30 repairs were in progress. The tech, Pete explained exactly the issues & gave us repair options. It’s 107 in Dallas today & my house is extremely grateful for everyone at TH&A.

I was quoted $129 for the trip to diagnose the issue with the AC. I told the technician that my Nest thermostat was indicating an issue with the Y1 wire. After checking the system, he found out that the low voltage cables were damaged by rodents. He prepared the invoice and charged me $230.22. I asked why since I was quoted $129, his answer was the dispatcher didn’t explain to me that it only covered 30 of his time.The quote that he gave me in writing to replace the low voltage cables was $1,200!!!!!! When I called the office, I explained what he had charged me for the diagnosis, then they said that they would remove that amount after replacing the low voltage cables. I couldn’t believe this situation so I decided to call another company and pay for the first trip. The trip costed me $75 and I received a quote to replace the low voltage cables for $600.I will never again will call this company as they are selling issues and giving quotes that might be double of what a fair HVAC company will charge.

Called Total Air because they were a local company and they were very prompt to send a technician (about 30 minutes). The tech arrived and was polite, after about 20 minutes he had diagnosed the issue to a bad capacitor, which he had on hand and immediately replaced. In all he was at our house for about an hour. The issue was, that I know a capacitor costs about $10 but the total bill was almost $275. Turns out that the $90 service fee only covers diagnosis and then we were charged another $165 to replace the capacitor. Had I been informed about the price to replace the capacitor, I would have done it myself, our system is difficult, but not that difficult. And during diagnosis he had done most of the work to access the fan motor and cap. Overall, the service was prompt and the tech was polite and knowledgeable. I gave three stars because I was not informed about the repair cost before the technician did the work and was very surprised by the total when the bill came.Update:Just a few minutes after my review posted, I was contacted by Justin from Total Heat and Air and he wanted to try and make it right. He explained that this was not their normal procedure and understood my frustration. I do understand that because the work was mostly done during the diagnosis, the tech likely felt that it was simple to complete the repair and it would give him an opportunity to verify that there were no other issues with the system. Justin did offer to refund a portion of my bill and I told him that it was unnecessary. Overall, I am satisfied that this was a relatively simple mistake and not an attempt to force/trick me into an unneeded repair. I have changed my rating to 4 stars because I appreciate them working to rectify my disappointment.

I had an appointment this past Wednesday between 9-1. Unfortunately, Tuesday night I had to go to the emergency room and was admitted to the hospital. My sister called and rescheduled the appointment for the same day and they came out and meet her. They didnt charge me any extra for coming back out. I was happy to have my AC cooling when I got home on Friday. Thank you Total Air!
