Polar Air Air Conditioning & Heating

Yesterday, I had Cosme and Rey from Polar Air service my ac unit due to a faulty Filter Drier that had corroded from underneath. My appointment was scheduled for the following day due to the fact it was late in the evening. AC Tech that was sent (Rey), was punctual and very knowledgeable in his field. Rey gave me the step by step on what he would be implementing to correct the issue at hand. When it was all said and done, Rey displayed and explained the reading on his AC instruments to show me system had been fixed. This is not the first time nor the last of doing business with Cosme from Polar Air, as he installed my AC unit in my previous home and have been satisfied with his service and the company.

So happy with my technician Rey. He gave me the quote of repair and fixed the problem. Yes......it was expensive but they did honest work. Im extremely pleased with this company. They cleaned out the coils and added blower motor.

They showed up within 30 mins of calling and fixed everything up in under an hour! Very happy with the price and speed of service. The technician Cosme was very friendly and professional. Definitely will be using them again.

Cosme provided outstanding service and demonstrated exceptional knowledge. Rey and Lalo installed the new A/C unit with professionalism and courtesy. Robert was a great technician. He was informative, efficient, friendly and did an all-around great job.He asked if I was interested in an upgrade, adding a UV light to the unit in order to eliminate mold, viruses, allergens, and all manner of odors (especially those coming from my naughty cats).Even though it was pretty expensive, I thought it was just what my AC and my home needed.I highly recommend this company and Robert, in particular.

I dont normally write reviews; however, I was impressed with the service that the assigned technician (Mike) performed at my house. My organization just transferred me into the RGV., and after purchasing my house - I needed some post-remolding work done.Polar set my appointment and had someone to my house accurately within the time window. The tech had some work to do on the blower-motor and it was physically challenging to get to the correct area. Every situation is different, every tech has different skillsets - but this tech went above as he put forward a definite effort to accomplish what I wanted. Well done Mike and Polar.

Polar Air was great! When I called on a Saturday with my A/C on the fritz, they told me when a tech would be available. The tech named Arturo showed up and got right to work. His number one priority was to get my AC back running. He was very considerate of the Saturday rate time spent on me and wanted to keep costs reasonable. Very professional and personable. Alex came by and helped us out with an emergency on Father’s Day. Worked out a plan in minutes and also diagnosed and fixed another long standing issue with the unit. AC is running nice and cold now. Best service in the valley as far as I’m concerned. Very pleased with the service.

Super grateful to Matthew and the Polar Air team for coming to the rescue late in the evening. I doubt any other company would’ve answered our urgent call for service, especially that late at night. My 7 month old baby and my 2 year old would not have been happy if my unit’s leak wouldn’t have been repaired. Alex came to our school to work on warranty not boxes, we had other company say we needed new hot plate but Alex came and literally had it on in 1 minutes saving us thousands, no extra charge, this kind of honesty goes far now a days, chose polar air who values relationships over sales

Be very careful. I had a service plan with this company. They came out in March to service my AC as part of the service plan. About 2 weeks later, I noticed humidity in my home was high and unit wasnt cooling well. I called them to come back out and was told my condenser needed to be replaced. Tech said it would cost about $1200 to $1400 and thats with part covered under warranty. Tech said he would order part and get back to me with actual price. They never called me back. I called another company who came out and cleaned my condenser for $70 and told me it did not need to be replaced. Polar air apparently never cleaned it when they came out to do the maintenance. I have been their customer for over 3 years and to date I have not heard back from them. 100 degree temperatures outside and unit is working fine. Just needed to be cleaned.

Called them up this morning because of AC issues and they had a technician out here a few hours later.Art was extremely efficient, explaining the issue and what was needed to fix it. As a first time customer, I was extremely satisfied and plan on doing business with them in the future.

Great company, called and came the same day. Had the part on hand to do the exchange and had my AC running good in a very short time. Recommend Alex as the technician, he worked efficiently and quickly to fix the problem.

My AC stopped working on Sunday at 10 pm. I called another company that didnt answer. Polar Air answered and had a technician at my house in 30 minutes. Robert was very quick and professional. After hours service is more expensive but worth it for me.

Having polar air come to our restaurant is always amazing. Alex is one of the best techs. Every time he comes in he always takes us through step by step on the process he takes to fix our units, and informs us how to maintain it or what we can do to prevent it from happening again. He always goes above and beyond and cant wait to see him or his co-workers come in and save the day!

Polar Air is a fantastic company! Earlier this evening, our AC unit broke down and with it getting hotter inside the house and with a newborn, we were very concerned. We called up Polar Air and spoke with Kristina at the main office. Kristina was extremely nice and very helpful! Once we told her about our situation, she told us that they could help us out and send an AC tech and whether it was after hours or not, they would help fix our AC problem. Arturo arrived at our house promptly. He was also very polite, courteous and professional! When we told him what our situation was with the AC, he immediately went to work to diagnose the problem. Arturo found the problem quickly and was able to fix the issue very fast! Polar Air is a first class company with great people working there and I would highly recommend Polar Air to anyone for any air conditioner needs!

Had issues with our A/C last night. Called Polar Air last night and they showed up early this morning to did our problem. A/C was fixed and has been running well since they serviced it! Great customer service!

I give Polar Air 5 stars because in the past few years, Polar Air has provided services to my air conditioner. From the staff who answer the phone and schedule the appointment in a timely manner, to the technicians who service the air conditioner, all are kind, respectful, and provide excellent customer service and resolve the issue promptly and effectively. Always professional techs, I recommend Polar air to all my friends and family. They fix your system right the first time and are very reasonably priced. I will not use any other company, I will be a loyal customer to Polar Air for ever.

Saturday service was prompt. Tech was very nice and quick. Price was hefty but not unexpected for a weekend repair.

Well what can I say. Our installation was 3 years ago. I would like to say it went well... The initial satisfaction was i guess decent. 1 outside unit, 1 fan motor, a flow valve , and a control board later I can at least say this.... Goodman gave us an absolute garbage 2 stage unit... Ill never deal with Goodman ever again. That being said... They say all ACs are terrible. The only true variable is the quality of the installer/ installation. So lets get into that a little bit. Found out none of the drip pan PVC pipes was glued at all. Because of that moisture was building in the insulation foam jacket that was surrounding the pvc joints. Then later notice stains on the new blower fan assembly that had been installed 1 year ago approximately. Well the stains were from acid. To clean a used unit that had been Jerry rigged into our air handler. Im not an AC tech but I can assure you that THAT blower unit was NOT the one to our ac. I called this past week to get our unit fixed because it was failing to cool yet again and the tech came out and did a great job fixing it and getting us going. He left then it failed once again within 12 hours... I called asking for a hail Mary... just swap everything out for a basic unit i asked. All I wanted is a working unit a simple AC. I got a price for a new system from Polar air . I thought ok. Lets just get this POS Goodman out of here. Then I was told I couldnt finance the job.... Yeah no. No deal. I wound up getting the system replaced by another company and with a crazy good warranty for just a little more than what had been quoted by polar air. All in all I would rather leave an absolute garbage review with 1 star if possible but... The culmination of a terrible system and mediocre installation resulted in this review. I have absolutely zero regrets purging that Goodman garbage out of my house.

Guy that came out very professional. Unfortunately, he only did diagnosis, charged me almost 200 dollars and said his manager will get back to me within an hour with a quote or stop by. 3 days later still havent heard anything back. No email no call. Had other companies come and did free estimates. They all said the same thing but at least I didnt get charged 200 dollars for nothing.

If you need residental services tell Polar Air NOT to send Cosme, residental supervisor tech to your home. He is very agrumentative towards Polar airs clients inside the household, has a lot of defensvie commiuncation, lacks business commiunciation skills, states clients give him attuide, damands payment when the office manager stated the job was not completed yet, stating he is doing us favors and stating we are refusing to look at damage pictures after the damage had occured, (leakage of water in the celing) as the home was unsupervised with Cosme and the tech sitting in the truck playing on thier phones. The was another thing water damage was done while the house was unspervised as the techs were in their van with the a/c on and Ihad to run outside to tell them water is pouring from the celing to the floor, but this complaint is mostly about the lack of customer service of the employee Cosme, where clearly he gives the vibe he does not care about us,the cllients and seems like he has been getting away with his attiude with customers for a long time. A written compliant was made about him on a survey last year about his aggressive behavior and it seems like that was not addressed. So we made a another complaint about his behavior this year towards the office manager and left messages with Matthew Garcia the manager. Whether they actually get after their employees to protect the name of the business or protect the empolyee instead, for future homeowners tell the company NOT to send Cosme to save you stress as I know everyone we all want good customer service when work is hired in our homes.

My AC unit failed to cool my home by removing the heat, and it failed to remove indoor contaminants such as mold, bacteria and viruses. HVAC mechanics from Polar Air inspected and made the necessary repairs to restore my AC system. I also had Polar Air to install a revolutionary new technology APCO-X Ultra Air Treatment System. So far, the UVC lamp has improved my house air quality and even reduced pet dander, dust, mold, and odors. Robert and Mike were courteous, friendly, and professional as HVAC mechanics, and I highly recommend Polar Air AC&H to perform repairs, maintenance, and installation of a APCO-X Ultra Air Treatment System.

Called Polar Air because I had an issue with my thermostat going blank and turning my AC off last night. I called this morning and Cristina helped get an appointment that worked with my work schedule. AC technician Norman shows up and was extremely friendly, thorough, and honest. He explained everything and took photos for me to see the issues that were causing my problem. I highly recommend Polar Air and you will be lucky if you get Norman as your technician. I called Polar Air for service, and Art came out same day. He did an installation of a new A/C condenser/compressor system and it worked great. Art is a super nice, hard working man. Definitely recommend Polar Air for A/C needs!

Had a service call from them for my air conditioner, they showed up in less than a hr. The guy that fixed my problem was Cosmo, he was a awesome guy and answered all my questions. I would highly recommend this place for your furnace or air needs.

The Polar Air technician replaced the capacitor and did a good job.When I got the invoice from the company, I was charged $330. The capacitor was $189.I was refunded $177.53 because it was under warranty.The company didn’t refund the cost of the part (189) and they charged me a $25 restocking fee. When I asked why since nothing was restocked, I was given various explanations. The office manager called me and said it wasn’t a restocking fee but a fee because the warranty was used. She said they are charged by Carrier when they invoice the warranty, which isn’t true. I checked. The office manager was rude and extremely unprofessional.I do not recommend this company.

Replaced sensors. For the first time ever our overflow pan drained water away from the unit in our attic. A sure sign the drain was plugged that normally drains off condensed water. Had asked them to check everything while they were here. Said all was fine. The very first technician we had a couple of years ago was excellent and very thorough. Never had him back on the regular check ups. Wonder now if anyone has been clearing the drain line. Drain line has now been cleared. Polar air very responsive to correct concerns. Continued services have been selected. All is good.

So grateful and thankful for Polar Air. I was having issues with my central air and had already had 2 different companies come out to try and fix it. Not only could they not find the issue but they seemed to be in a rush. Came across Polar Air and contacted them and oh how I wish I would of found them sooner. This is honestly the best place to go to when you’re needing help with your AC. My inside AC unit started to leak water on a Thursday night, and I didn’t know what to do. I went straight to Google to see who I could find to come take a look at it. I found Polar Air and I decided to call them first thing in the morning. I called their business and the receptionist that answered was extremely professional, understanding, and polite! She said she could try to fit me in for an appointment time that same afternoon, but if there wasn’t any space available she did explain I would have to wait until Monday. She informed me that she would give me a call right back to confirm if someone could get sent out that day. She called me back ten minutes later and said someone could be out that afternoon and she did give me an ETA! I was so relieved! Austin and his partner (I dont know how to spell his name!) arrived within that time frame and they were extremely professional, polite, and understanding! They explained everything that was going on while they checked my AC unit and they were very thorough in making sure my unit (both inside and out) were working properly. The price for the services is extremely affordable. I couldn’t have chosen a better business! I know from now on, I will be using their services for all of my AC needs.

Called to have them give us an estimate to repair or replace our mini split. Said they would be here 5/17. They called us and had to reschedule for 5/18 at 11 am. They were a no show and no call by 1:45pm. Bad customer service.As an update they rescheduled for 8:30 this morning and were here on time. Cosmo was very apologetic and professional.

I highly recommend PolarAir for AC repair. Our AC went began to leak and the day I called to schedule an appointment, the representative was ready to schedule a repair the same day. I was not expecting that soon of an appointment 👍🏼. I was able to schedule a technician to conduct a diagnostic the next day. Art Flores was very professional and knowledgeable. From the scheduling a “PM” service call to completing the transaction, everything went as smooth as melted butter on a warm biscuit. Our AC unit stopped working late Saturday night on one of the hottest days in South Texas. To top things off we have 3 children and a bulldog who were really hot! We called Polar Air and Alejandra was so understanding of the urgency to repair the unit ASAP. She sent me a tech that same day. We had used a different company for repair a few years back which had left us very skeptical of AC repair companies. But those doubts were quickly changed when Arturo arrived to our house. He introduced himself. Checked our inside and outside unit and was able to diagnose the issue in less than 15 minutes!! Before he left our house was already steadily cooling down!! Our AC unit went out at the worst possible time. Friday at 6 o’clock after hours. Polar air made the process so easy to get our unit repaired. From calling the company and speaking to a live person and not an answering service, to the reassurance that somebody would make it out that same day, and the technicians professionalism and willingness to make sure that our family home would be cool before they left.I highly recommend Polar Air and will definitely be calling me them again if needed. :)

They were very up front with what service they offered, what needs to be done, unlike some shady companies that seemingly hide some information from you. I opted for the 2 visits/year at $199. The technician added 2 lbs. of the coolant for an additional $70, after doing the maintenance/cleaning/checkup. He gave tips on how to help maintain the AC clean. The office consultant Edith was very efficient and friendly. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a prompt response to AC home unit issues.

I can not say enough good things about this company and their people. After my ac went out at 6pm and I tried all the things I could myself to fix it. When I couldnt I called the phone line at 5am expecting to just leave a voice mail but they answered and got me booked for first thing in the morning. Alex showed up at my door and he took such good care of us. He explained what was going on, gave me some options and then handled it every step of the way. Wow, where do I start? I called today and said I was in no big hurry. I have two air conditioning units and the one freezes me out so it is not as if I need the other one. Just would be nice because it is a mini split and is very quiet. Well, I think I called about noon or just before and they said they would be out today at 2. Again, I said Im in no big hurry but they gave me the same time anyway.I have not been happy with the mini split since it was installed. I was positive it was low on Freon and it appears I was correct. They came out and recharged the unit. They highly suggested I have it inspected for leaks but since I watched it get installed I said, no, just charge it up. So without an argument they did it but also notified me they would not guarantee there was not a leak that was the issue. Hey, Im good with that. They did as I asked, gave me options and the price. In my book they are good. They appear to do good work at a reasonable price. They charged less than what I would consider appropriate. If I was doing the work I would have charged more.

I run a Snacks place and had another company on site and my freezer was Doing things it wasn’t doing before. I had issues with my AC Unit 1 compressor constantly running and not cooling my home to the desired temperature. I told this information to the customer service representative and it was on the email notes of the reason for service call. I requested a complete diagnostics check to find the root of the issue for AC Unit 1, and a complete diagnostics check of AC Unit 2 as a preventative measure. The technicians were at my house for 2.5 hours and came to the conclusion as per email receipt 112609-2 AC Unit 1: Bad compressor Technician reported findings to customer and the following repair(s) were 📝system was running on high pressures, tech clean condenser and it went down but it was still acting weird, tech also found it wasn’t found proper pump down and there is were found it was a bad compressor. And recommended 📝tech recommended a new system due its now under warranty but costumer wants both qoutes , one for compressor and one to change the whole system. I was subsequently charged $127.50 for 1.5 hours of labor. AC Unit 2: As stated above I never had issues with this unit, but I did request a diagnostics test as a preventative measure. As per the notes on receipt 112609-1 Per Mr. Popoca the a/c wont stop running and a possibility the unit may be to small for the house.  (1) Our technician performed a diagnostic check on your equipment and found the following issue(s): 📝 Technician add 1.5 pounds of gas (2) Technician reported findings to customer and the following repair(s) were 📝upon arrival tech found system at 14 split, tech add 1.5 pounds of gas to get 17 split. System is now working properly. All other components working fine. I was charged $202.19 for 1 hour of labor, service charge of 30 plus miles, and refrigerant. I never stated that the AC Unit 2 was constantly running. Only AC Unit 1 was constantly running. Being naive to the situation, I wasnt prepared to purchase a completely new ac unit upon recommendation by the technician. A customer sales service representative called me the following morning and emailed me 3 proposals which all initially estimated over $8,000 dollars. Skeptical to make a costly investment, I took the advice friends and was referred to a technician with 30+ years of experience for a 2nd opinion. He came to my home and found that all parts to both of my AC units were completely functional. There was no need for freon to be added to AC Unit 1 because it was at its capacity. The only issue that was found was the compressor coils were very dirty and needed to be cleaned. He simply performed this task by taking apart the compressor and cleaning the coils thoroughly with water. It took him less than one hour to completely diagnose and clean AC Unit 1. My AC Unit 1 was now completely functional and efficient with my house being at my desired cool temperature. As a paying customer of Polar Air, I question their motto... Were they HONEST in their assessment? Only they could answer that but from my perception they werent. Were they DEPENDABLE and EXPERIENCED? Obviously not because the technicians misdiagnosed. I paid Polar Air $329.69 for a misdiagnosis and if it wasnt for a caring friend and truly experienced technician, I would have made an additional unnecessary expense of $8,000. This is total lack of customer service, management, and company culture. I could only hope this isnt a company practice to intentionally give a misdiagnosis to sell another product. With current day inflation, a simple person or family like mine, cannot afford to be taken advantage of by a company that sells its services based off their unquestioned reputation. This is completely unacceptable and unethical on Polar Air. As a multi-million dollar company they know what they have to do to make this right. From my perspective, I received a complete contradiction to their company motto. All documentation, receipts, and emails will be furnished upon request.

I dont review but, these guys are the BEST AC service in the valley!!!I originally was using someones service but the guy ended saying the job was hard and he could not climb up the building because it is too high.I called Polar Air in the late evening and they sent a tech down within 30 mins.We had a little problem getting on top of the roof but Rob (the young guy) did not give up. He was the very nice and trying his very best to get the issue resolved for me. BEST AC technician ever!!!They were very honest and transparent about what maintenance servicesI need for the AC. All I can say is WOW great service from start to finish and way cheaper then I expected. I have a small leak in my AC unit and I needed more refrigerant. I called my old AC guy and he made me wait over 3 hours without a call or text letting me know he was running late. I called Polar Air and they came out when they told me they would and even called when they were on their way. Not only did Eddie diagnose my leak and refill my system he also took video and pictures of where the leak was. He also checked my unit for warranty which to my surprise still has about 5 months left. You just made me a loyal customer.

Hello I am a manager at a local restaurant. We used to use an easy company and they stopped answering. Polar Air sent Alex to work on one of my exhaust hoods. Our AC was leaking from the attic and it was a Saturday night, we called Polar Air. It was our first time we went with Polar air. Art, the service technician, was knowledgeable and professional. He serviced and explained the reason for the leakage.

Matthew was awesome! He thoroughly explained what was wrong with the AC and even provided us with pictures to show where the problem was. He was very friendly and knew exactly what he was doing. 10/10 would absolutely recommend!

Service Tech very professional, Arrived at the estimated schedule; José Serna did a great job explaining the issue and all task, part and cost related; even better he had a spare on his service van and replaced the part, inspected the unit condenser and gas pressure too as a broad inspection, after service cleaned the working area.

Easiest process ever!!! A/C unit went out, called their customer service, prices explained upfront, technician scheduled, same day service, unit fixed, and wife is happy. I will definitely be using their services again.

We had a problem with our central air, and they immediately sent “Austin P”as much as possible with our central air immediately, he didnt want to leave until everything was in order We highly recommend them always attentive to have the family satisfied and not pass heat⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Paid 303.00 for something that was not wrong. A/C out again at 2:00am it’s 80 degrees in my house and no answer at the answering service. Tech did not provide me with after hours number.

A little expensive but they are great! Called on a Sunday they came out and had everything up and running in about 2 hours, from the time i called to them fixing my AC. Like the saying you get what you pay for.

I can not thank them enough they are awesome , they will go out of their way to make sure all is good. I love them so much (Alicia) they did way more to make sure it worked I still cant describe how grateful I am. They are all so nice as well...

Response was within 1 hour of AC quitting. Professional and safe workers. Explanation of repairs/replacement useful. Would recommend highly. They even have military discount. Everything helps nowadays.
