Been using Cother Air Conditioning & Heating for over 18 years and my parents the same and always come on time, technician very respectful and knowledgeable!

We were at a loss as to why our AC unit was not able to keep up with the afternoon heat. I called Clother AC to look at it. After inspection, the tech told me that the compressor was going out and that the entire system needed to be replaced. When I asked what exactly was causing the compressor to fail, he wouldn’t answer. He came up with an estimate of $9,600 to replace the system as the one installed in 2014 was not made anymore and parts were unavailable as well as R22 coolant. I had another company come over and ran their tests. They came up with something totally different. They were in agreement that the system would have to be replaced, but not this summer. Turns out that the condenser coil and evaporator coil were both filthy. He cleaned them and the system works like new. Unfortunately, I will not be doing business with Cother AC anymore.

I waited to post this review just in case there was any type of follow-up work provided. Im glad I waited. Cother installed a new unit for my home and did an excellent job. There was a problem with the mother board on the main unit and they came out quickly and, free of charge, replaced it and got me going again. Its nice to see a company honor their warranty. I will definitely use Cother again!

They did my insulation in my attic. They did excellent work. The guy was punctual, and very thorough. They were always available when I called, and were able to answer any questions I had. In addition, they are up front and transparent with their billing, which really put me at ease. I have since been followed up with to make sure I was happy with my experience. I highly recommend these guys. I had another group (that runs commercials every morning) come out and give me a quote and Cother beat it be nearly 40% with what appeared to be the same units and equipment.Steve was extremely knowledgeable. He was patient and sat down with me as I went through the options with him in the initial process. I was not excited about replacing two units (20+ years old so it was over due) but these guys helped me make it work.Their install team was exceptional. I had a team of father, son and uncle and they were fast, efficient and polite. They were very respectful to my wife and kids. Clean up was on point and I could barely tell they had been there.I did have some issues with one of the thermostats (possibly human error) and they came back out at my request. They continued to be patient and answered all my questions and replaced the faulty thermostat at no charge and even tweaked the system until it ran at exactly the standards I wanted.I will be using Cother Air for years to come.

He identified the problem in the attic, corrected it, then rechecked his gauges outside to verify it was working better. Your employee, Jose Deluna was very professional. He clearly identified the problem and quickly made the repair. Cost was a little high. I could have found a contractor to make the repair at a lower cost but I would not receive the reliability of services offered by Cother.

The technician was nice and answered my questions, but said he would have to talk to his master installer to discuss our preferred solution. Thats been about two weeks now, and I havent heard from them. I assume they either are or arent able to provide me with the preferred solution, or have just lost me in their paperwork, but we will not be using their services.

Unfortunately, I am unable to be present during the day as I work downtown and it always bothered me when I would come home and my wife would tell me how rude the technician was to her or that they talked down to her or scoffed at her questions.We have had such a great experience with your company that we had to reach out and let you know how much customers appreciate the level of care and service that your employees provided us. The tech was on time and very professional. He was very informative. He cleared out the drain line quickly and even installed a block valve to better service it next time. They have been a great a/c service provider since 2016.

Called early in the day and was given a window for service. During that window dispatch called and updated me that there had been a weather delay but I was next in line. The single room that was hotter in the summer and colder in the winter now is comfortable as the rest of the house. The technician assigned to our repair was 5 minutes early to the scheduled time and provided great customer service. The unit repaired is 15 years old. He made the repair needed to get it working and provided an honest assessment of what needed to be replaced after inspecting all components. He could have easily oversold what needed to be replaced but said several of the components had many years left. Provided a good written summary of the required replacements. Much appreciated.

Horrible experience. Needed an ac and heater replaced. They did it and now it never cuts off. Our electric bill is higher than with our older unit and the owner keeps making promises he never intends to keeps. He just strings us along with promises and lies. I just want a working unit. His technicians come out talking down to me when I ask a simple question. Its been a horrible experience. My other ac was replaced a few years ago by another company without a single issue. Unfortunately they closed or I would have gone with them. Really miss them after this nightmare. These people will take your money and disappear like the thieves they are.

He was able to get them working 100 percent correct and provided an estimate on replacement when needed. Awesome company.

I purchased an old house and they replaced an air conditioner this summer. My furnace quit working this week during the cold spell. They came out the same day and repaired it, back toasty warm. Good to have someone respond and repair the same day at a reasonable cost.

I would not consider using anyone else for repair or maintenance! The repair techs are always clean, polite and explain everything they need to do and why. Ive used them for many years and have not had an issue with any of their work.

We have used Cother for 27 years and have never been disappointed in their work. We just bought our second complete system from them. They serviced an old unit for several years and then replaced our system at our home in Friendswood in 1992. We moved to the Seabrook area in 1997 and our AC unit in this house was a 1982 model. Cother kept that unit running for us until last month. They could have declared it dead & charged us for a new system years ago but they kept it going for us until it just was totally beyond being fixable. They made us a very fair deal on a quality replacement system & installed it while we were out of town so we came home to a nice cool house.The Cother technicians have always been courteous & professional. I hope they can keep this new unit running as long as the old one did!

Amazing experience. Fixed a huge mistake by a different company and got my system functioning properly. Would easily refer them and the tech was very professional. Definitely will go back to them if any issue arises.

Technician tried to charge me $2900 for a new A/C unit even though our current unit is new and still under warranty. He didnt even bother going into the attic to check the unit up there. I called another company to get a second opinion and ended up spending only $80 for a minor adjustment.

Technician was quick, knowledgeable and courteous. After being told by Master Air that I needed a new A C unit to the tune of 2900 dollars, Cother came out and found the real problem, a broken wire. 60 dollars later its running again. Thank you Cother A/C and Heating!

My air conditioner went out on Saturday. We returned home that evening to an 86 degree home. Not very pretty!!! Everyone that I called was unavailable, out with family, or just too busy to help with my emergency. My pastor, Reginald Devaughn, also reminds us to thank God in the midst of our trials. So, we got up the next morning with thanksgiving in our hearts and went to church. I thanked God for solving our A/C issue in advance. By Gods grace, I asked one of my church members if she knew an A/C repairman. She gave me the name of Cother Inc! It was about 12:45pm. David immediately called me within 10 minutes. By 2:45, he made it to our home! It took him about one hour to fix our problem. His fee was very fair and reasonable. God sent an Angel!!!Thank you so much David!!!

This sham of a business quoted my 73 year old mother $2300 to fix her air conditioning, and she was a current customer of theirs. My brother and I were desperately trying to scramble and get the money together and decided to go get a second opinion and ended up paying $185 to fix a microscopic leak in the line and recharge with freon. They definitely tried to take advantage of an elderly person and I hope others refuse all business dealings with them bc of this!

Absolutely unprofessional. I had one guy come and spoke little English. I requested a different technician and it was the same thing. The people here are crooked and I do not believe that are even NOT LEGAL to work here. I would use someone else in Houston. Here the cut corners and you never know who you have coming in and out of your property and business.

They changed out my entire AC and heat System including ducts, however, when they changed the vent plates they did not reseal them as part of the job, now I have mold growing around the vents, and he wanted to charge me $40 per vent extra to go back and seal them. This is piss-poor business, do not use this company.

Don’t know what’s happened but we’ve had a service contract for 2 years and haven’t had a problem until now. The only difference is that this time we had a repair need and experienced poor communication and service involving office staff and technician. Very disappointed.
