Technician is great. Management not great. After multiple visits to fix my gas fireplace ($1,000 +), they decided I needed to be charged for several hundred dollars because they could not completely confirm why the system failed. Thank goodness I recently renewed my annual service contract. Loyalty should go both ways.

Texas Air Doctors were prompt, professional, and courteous. They didnt try to sell anything unnecessary, and in fact did the work for exactly as it was quoted. I appreciate their honesty and every one I came in contact with. I would absolutely use Texas Air Doctors again for service of our gas lanterns.

Jeff and assistant from Texas Air Doctor did an amazing job. I highly recommend them to anyone that has a fireplace problem. Jeff is a professional at his trait. He solved each obstacle that he came to and knew exactly what and where the problem was. He informed me of the problem and gave me different options that he can do to repair it and what it would cost. Jeff s work was very proficient and as he repairs each step he continues to check and test to insure there were no gas leak. TX air Dr. sent out a tech. to install a Nat. gas pilot assembly for my outdoor ventless fireplace. I had purchased the part on E-bay for approx. $37 but wasnt having much success completing the install myself. so I agreed to have the tech due the install, and the end result was great and the fireplace works great. But after evaluating the parts and labor cost which turned out to be $934 which seemed a bit Ludacris for about 2 hr. labor. So I called TX air Dr. customer service but the manager wasnt willing to offer any type of discount, so be prepared for HIGH labor costs!!! :-(

I found the company services on-line. Someone got back to me quickly and scheduled an appointment to service my outdoor gas lantern. The technician, Jeff, was friendly, professional and solved the problem within 30 minutes. I was ambivilent initially but am so glad I gave them a chance.

I would like to take a few minutes to share my AC repairer experience from Texas Air Doctors with you. I called them to report a problem and ask for a service call on a Friday afternoon, I expected to be told it was going to be the following week or possibly an expensive weekend service call, not so. TAD responded the same afternoon. TAD sent me a text confirming I would get service between 4 and 6 pm and included a picture and profile of the service man, Blake. Blake showed up on time and went to work and made the repair of some damaged wires and had me running in a short time. Blake was very professional well-spoken and friendly. He explained what and how the problem a cured. I was so impressed I took out a service agreement with TAD and look forward to my yearly checkups to keep my equipment maintained in the future. I highly recommend Texas Air Doctor for all your Heating and Air Conditioning needs.

Jeff and Texas Air Doctors did a phenomenal job getting our gas lamps working again on the front of our house. They were very prompt and attentive to our concerns and worked hard to ensure we were satisfied. Customer satisfaction was their number one priority!

Had issues with the A/C and called to set up an appointment. Joseph was prompt and arrived exactly when they said he would; diagnosed the unit quickly and found a fix within minutes. Did such a good job and was so knowledgeable and personable I went ahead and signed up for a membership while he was here. Amazing work and even better social skills.

Sept. 2024: Joseph provided excellent service for our scheduled maintenance program and did fantastic installing a UV light. I really appreciate TAD as a company and Joseph as a technician. He did a terrific job checking everything out, provided pictures of everything he commented on, changed out the filter, and was great at his job. We have a service contract with TAD to maintain our system and they are always top notch!

When you find a company via Google search, you have to hope that the reviews are real. Well Deandre was great with providing info about fireplace maintenance and scheduling. Brian was professional from the moment he rang the doorbell. We dont wear shoes in our house so we have some shoe covers for contractors and service people. He put on his shoe covers before I even was able to offer them to him. He also was very thorough and explained everything he did to us. He was great!! Definitely impressed with this company and their service. We are now ready for the real fall weather to come!!!

Joesph did a great job today. TSA was able to come early which was appreciated. Joesph was polite, professional and knowledgeable. Diagnosed the problem and gave me options for repair. He completed repair and corrected the problem.

We have an annual service contract with them for four years. Very pleased. Johnny was on time, is skilled and very professional. And he cleaned my fireplace glass. He also proactively changed out the A/C capacitor that wasn’t functioning well. We had replaced it last year so it was under warranty. Their annual service contract is worth every penny.

Our service technician, Blake, did a great job. Very through and pointed several things out besides just related to his service call to us. Courteous and personable. Weve used Texas Air doctors for years and will continue to do so. Why change when you are getting excellent service ??

The technician, Johnny was prompt polite and examined our gas fireplace. We were unable to turn on the fireplace with the electrical switch. Johnny tightened the connections and got everything working.

Please don’t hire this company. I’ve had water leaking out of my office AC into the wall since 9/3/24. Their first visit was bad mouthing the people who installed the unit. Four days after the “repair”- more water coming out. I dry it up and dehumidify to prevent mold. They sent someone new out that had obviously not been communicated to about what the problem was and what was missed but just said: “I’m not seeing any water so I’m going to go.” Sir, that’s because I cleaned it up and offered to send him a video of where the water leaks from. He leaves anyway and and doesn’t tell me. I come back to work today with more water to clean up!!

We have always been happy with Texas Air Doctors. All of their employees have been wonderful. They are professional, timely, and very knowledgeable in the services they provide! The monthly membership payment for routine services and checks has been well worth it. I would recommend them to anyone!

Texas Air Doctors would receive more than 5 stars if i were allowed to do so. Taylor returned my call first thing in the morning (i left a message at 7am) and inquired about my AC concerns and informed me he would be sending Joseph over at a time that was convenient for me. DeAndra then called me 20 minutes before Josephs arrival to confirm and make sure there were no other pressing needs. Joseph showed so much professionalism (putting covers on his shoes when passing through the house) and explained everything he was checking during the evaluation. Having a 13 year old unit, he was not pressuring me to upgrade or upsell just making recommendations and giving useful knowledge on how to help maintain the unit. Obviously i needed some new parts and there are potential other concerns coming in the near future that will eventually have to be addressed but his whole conversation was to build a relationship and take care of only the most pressing needs and make suggestions. His pricing was very reasonable as I have a friend in the industry that i did not want to involve due to our personal relationship (actually my friend would have charged more). Make sure they send Joseph when you call.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Joseph at Texas Air Doctors. I was seen quickly and promptly. He was able to diagnose my issue fast and effectively. He could have charged me an arm and leg if he wanted, but he did not even though he came out multiple times. You can trust them with your home. Give Texas Air Doctors a try!

Texas Air Doctors was professional and communicative from my first call and to my appointment completion. They were upfront about fees and worked with my schedule for appointment planning. They emailed appointment confirmations and reminders, called when en route and arrived during my appointment window. Matt was able to communicate well the problems with my lantern and fix them quickly. I will call them again next time I am having a problem.

Very professional and prompt and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. Texas Air Doctors did a great job servicing my system. It wasn’t cooling very well the past few days and is working much better now. Very happy with the service.

Johnny did a great job and a through inspection of our A/C equipment. He added some Freon to a couple of units. I turned down the service last year, but I had him do it this year. We should be good to go. This is a solid company and I will continue to use them.

Our heater quit working on 1/8/24. We called Texas Air Doctors and upon their inspection we needed to replace our unit. They gave us a detailed explanation with pictures and estimate. The unit was installed the next day. Very professional. Quick service. Friendly staff. Id recommend Texas Air Doctors to any and all.

These folks are in demand judging by their estimated appointment lead times. They put me down in case they had a cancellation, which they did. Service was worth the wait. Scheduling is very easy and they always come when expected. We buy the early maintenance service and it is well worth it. Our technician spends a good amount of time checking everything out. We like that he gives us a summary of the things he did and any suggestions for maintenance and repairs. There is never pressure to get the work done right away if we think it can wait. Definitely recommend.

The technician that came to our home (Ryan) was great. We have been using Texas Air Doctors for a few years now and they are always on point. Jeff from Texas Air Doctors came out to give me an estimate on cleaning a blower fan on my air conditioner. Another company, Milestone, had told me a few weeks earlier that the fan blades were dirty and full of dog hair. Milestone said it was reducing the efficiency of my air conditioner by 30 percent and said it would be $700 to clean it.Texas Air Doctors came out and checked the fan blades and there was only a little bit of dust on the fan blades. Jeff sent me a picture of what he found and let me see for myself. Im glad I had them come put for a second opinion. I did not need my fan blades cleaned. Jeff said if I did decide to get them cleaned in the future it would be about $450 not the $700 Milestone had quoted me.Im happy to have discovered Texas Air Doctors and will be using them for my air conditioning needs going forward.

Brian was great! He was kind and professional and explained what he was doing and answered my questions. I set an appointment a while back and they were pretty booked up, but they called twice to try to work at getting us in sooner than our scheduled appointment. The first time didnt work out, but the second time did! He serviced our gas fireplace that we havent been able to use since we moved into this house in 2019! The Individuals in the office (Im so sorry I dont remember their names) were helpful and polite and truly seemed interested in helping us get the work done as soon as possible. Will now look into their V.I.P. club.

Jeff the next time you consider being dishonest with your customers, you should realize that not all women at home are as gullible as you think.The gas lantern tip you wanted to charge 150$ for we got for 30$ from the lantern company. And the copper tubing just needed to be cleared with an air compressor. It did not need to be replaced like you told me.So why did you quote me $658??!!We got it all repaired for $100. All Bevolo lantern customers just call Bevolo.And I had to pay you $130 for the service call?I hope you consider changing the way you do business.

Service technician assisted us with a leak in the Clyde valve of our gas fireplace. Tested for leak and then successfully tighten valve to eliminate leak. Was professional and personable. We were pleased with experience.

Competitive service and equipment pricing, friendly professional service that I trust. Technician explains in detail the results of preventative maintenance program (check-up) which is performed bi-annually. Based on my experience, I’d recommend Texas Air Doctors.

Daniel came out to inspect our vented fireplace that had been shutting off on its own. He was nice, professional and very knowledgeable (really, one of the best service providers that has ever been in my home). He confirmed no gas leaks and tightened connections to the electrical switch. Gas in the home can be a little scary, but I felt 100% confident with Daniels work and skill. Will definitely call Texas Air Doctors again and would highly recommend them to anyone else needing fireplace or A/C service.

We have received reliable, excellent service from competent technicians at Texas Air Doctors since 2010. Texas Air Doctors is customer friendly and quickly responds to our requests. We had one weekend emergency and a technician responded in a timely manner. For seasonal tuneups and checks, we request the same technician and his knowledge of our systems is invaluable. He always gives estimates with his recommendations, and costs never exceed those estimates. We plan to use Texas Air Doctors for the foreseeable future.

The fan motor in one of my condensers was failing, making a high-pitched grinding noise. Joseph had previously diagnosed the issue a week earlier during my fall system inspection under the VIP Club membership.Joseph arrived early and explained what he was going to do and why. He replaced the fan motor very quickly and then tested the system while showing me what he had done and explaining in detail the procedure. The best part is I paid nothing, as the part and labor were covered under the extended warranties I purchased. Joseph was efficient, professional and courteous.I initially called Texas Air Doctors many years ago to repair my gas log fireplace, as they are the only company in my area that performs that type of work. Now I also have two HVAC systems I purchased from them and have also had my ducts cleaned. I recommend them to anyone who in need of these services.Also, buy all extended warranties and become a VIP club member! These unskilled HVACers charged us over $500 to install a $20 capacitor, which wasnt even the correct size for the unit. While it had the wrong size from a previous repair, they didnt bother checking. There were high-pressure sales for a mAiNtEnAnCe pLaN and when I said no, thats when they decided to charge over $500 for a $20 part. I would NOT recommend these con artists to anyone looking for quality HVAC work. Theyre shady, rude, and unwilling to take responsibility for their work. Also, I plan on filing a complaint with the BBB and any other groups that vet these sketchy contractors.

Brian was such a great professional. We use Texas Air Doctors, and have for years, to check out the gas fireplace each year and make sure all is well as the seasons change. As usual, they provided excellent service.

Jeff came out to unclog a drain line on 7/15/2024. He explained what needed to be done and how it would be done. I have been using Texas Air Doctors for many years for annual inspections of my HVAC units and to service my flip-switch fireplace. Service is thorough and meets my high expectations.Just had my annual HVAC heating maintenance on my two units. Again, thorough job done right. Appreciate the thoroughness of the inspections. FYI, the comments below were my first comments regarding Texas Air Doctors; those comments still apply so I am leaving them as part of this post.Texas Air Doctors has done my flip-switch gas fireplace heater inspection for several years and I have always been impressed with the thoroughness of those inspections. Recent circumstances led me to select TAD for my HVAC inspections. I just had my first fall inspection completed on two heating units. I am totally pleased with the inspection. I do not rate at the high level very often but in this case I will give TAD my highest compliments for a thorough job. Blake definitely knows what to look for. He provided a checklist of all the services provided on this call. He also pointed out the improper use of plumbers sealant on a gas line flare fitting; even the tag on the gas line indicates not to use sealants. My previous HVAC service provider never caught this - and they were the ones who installed the equipment. Thanks, Blake, for making our home safer. Wow! What great service! During the cold spell of Feb. 2021 when we had temps on the single digits along with ice and snow, my downstairs heat decided to start blowing cold air. After 2 nights of temps dropping to the low 50s in my house, I called Texas Air Doctors for help. I was sure since the roads were frozen and this unusual cold spell for Texas that I would have to wait for days to get a repair tech out.I called about 9am and was told that they would call me back within an hour since they were closed the day before and would do everything possible to get someone out. Within 30 minutes, I got a call back and told me a service tech is on his way and if the roads were passable would be here within 20 minutes.At 10am my doorbell rang and service tech Jeff was here. I explained everything to him and with in 20 minutes he had my furnace fixed and blowing warm air again.Ive been a customer of Texas Air Doctors for almost a year and purchased their service plan back in the spring. Since then they been out 2 times, for a fall tune up and now this. Each time since my cost has been $0. The techs are friendly, practice social distancing and wear shoe covers so not to track debris in the house.Im so glad I found Texas Air Doctors. Great service and great techs!

Had a problem with my A/C unit. Called Texas Air Doctors around 11am and set up an appointment around 2pm the same afternoon! Brian came and checked the A/C out and it was a minor repair.. Moved from Florida to a home we bought in the Fort Worth area. Prior to havIng some home renovation, I had my fireplaces looked at in winter of 2022. Fireplaces were functioning well and Jeff the serviceman and one of the owners informed me that I would need a damper for the fireplace, which he would have to order and he could install it in the Spring. That is, if I went ahead and paid $480 to cover maintenance for the upcoming year as well as introductory visit. It seemed reasonable to me. At that time I told him that we would be replacing the exterior stone (cosmetic veneer) of the fireplace, he stated to be careful, because he has seen many times that fireplaces can be damaged in the process and fireplace could need to be replaced and if so he could help. During the renovation Jeff came back in the Spring to service the AC and place the damper for the fireplace. During the renovation we were having AC problems. It was determined that an evaporator coil was corroded and defective and had frozen over, additionally the air ducts needed to be cleaned due to dust from remodeling construction. He told me that the dripping into the drip pan could ruin the ceiling and may have already caused damage. He told me to get my air ducts cleaned before he ever came back and also he would not test out the damper on the fireplace because there was too much dust and it would be a hazard. He told me this is the worst he had ever seen a coil frozen over and could be a while before they would unfreeze.Never once did he offer to actually remove any dust or assist in the unfreezing of the coils or offer assistance to clean ducts and solve the problem.Basically spent 15 minutes on the call. Needless to,say, we were quite alarmed and shut AC unit down immediately. Within 12 hours the coils became unfrozen and no water damage was noticed at all. We had another company come out and they replaced the evaporator coil and clean the air ducts. Additionally, we cleaned out the fire place and removed debris for a future visit by Texas Air Doctors, especially since we had already sunk in approx $700 by then and had nothing to show for it. In the interim, we did not hear from Texas Air Doctors to ask if ducts had been cleaned, fireplace cleaned or if we wanted evaporator coil replaced. Only heard from them for fall maintenance. They came by today and neither of our furnaces were able to be ignited, I was told I would need a millivolt generator as well as another part for the formal living room furnace were no remodeling was done. Also asked them to look at outside at my gas lanterns but was told I would have to call office to see what charge would be.With my experience with Texas Air Doctors, I would say their business model is to rope you in with a yearly service plan, get you prepared for the worst possible scenario and sell you stuff you don’t need. I told them they can keep all the money I’ve given them and please don’t call come back. Stay away, there are much better companies that care out there.

Shout out to Taylor Lutman at Texas Air Doctors! Our compressor went out over the weekend and I called her at 8am Monday morning and she had a tech at our house by 1030 that same day! The other company that installed our unit said they couldn’t get anyone to us till Wednesday 🤦‍♀️. Thank you Taylor and Texas Air Doctors for getting us taken care of!

As it always does, Air Doctors responded within a few hours to a problem with my AC unit cooling properly. They diagnosed the problem, made temporary repair and returned in a couple of days to install a replacement part. In the interim they checked with me to be sure that I was comfortable in the enduring heat wave. Blake was professional and efficient and explained well the problem to me.It is always a pleasure to do business with Air Doctors. They are totally reliable and helpful.

Very professional! Did not try to scam us as another provider did. They came and evaluated both gas fireplaces and provided easy inexpensive fixes. They even showed my wife how to operate the various valves etc. A competitor came out and said we had to replace both units for $3600. For the cost of the service call ($98 each unit) both fireplaces are fully functional!

Nov22: Blake arrived right on time to troubleshoot why the gas fireplace in my new home wouldnt fire up. He Identified the remote (disguised as a wall switch), replaced AA batteries and re-connected wires to the switch box. Thanks so much Blake & Tx Air Doctors. This was my first AC inspection using TX Air Doctors, and must say it was a great experience! I’ve used other companies before and have always come away with the impression that they were heavy on the up-sell, finding “serious problems” and stiff-arming me for the fix. Since I elected to not fix them in the past, I expected my inspection this year with TX Air Doctors to find at least the same problems and more. Not the case! My technician Daniel was fabulous. He showed me multiple pictures of all my units (first time anyone has done that) and basically told me that my units are in great shape, nothing immediate required. So glad I’ve finally found an AC company I can trust! Will request Daniel for all my future services :)

And on short notice too. Jeff was the technician, and he definitely seemed very knowledgeable in his trade. He gave me a reasonable quote to make the repair, and did it within 10 minutes. Although I still need a new system, it was nice to have someone to actually fix the issue instead of throwing a new expensive system at me. When I get a new one, I know who Im calling.

I have never been so disrespected as a customer as I was by Jeff Gossett. He was there to help with my elderly grandmothers heater and was trying to convince her to take a service contract and then was going to WAY overcharge her. When I told him we decided not to go ahead with the service he told me that we wasted his time and why did we waste 2 hours of his day. EVEN THOUGH we were still paying the service charge. They way that the technician treated my grandmother and I was so inappropriate and wrong. I will NEVER recommend or use this company again. I work for a small family owned company that is in the service industry and I would like to believe there are good honest people out there but this just really proved that there isn’t.

We recently bought a house in NRH with a gas log fireplace. First one for us and we didnt know how to work it. Brian from Texas Air Doctors checked it out thoroughly, arranged the gas logs and ember material properly and showed us how to light the pilot. He also checked the chimney for proper venting. Brian was great, and we signed up for twice a year HVAC service on the spot. Highly recommended.

During a recent cold snap our heat pump started making a weird noise and our air/heating business could not be reached.I reached out to Texas Air Doctors, left a message and they promptly returned my call. By noon we had a very professional repairman at our door. He was very thorough and kept me informed during his inspection and testing. He explained everything in words I could understand. I did ask if they has a service contract which they do very reasonably priced. So we are very proud to have Texas Air Doctors as our permanent air and heating company. We recently moved into a new house, and the gas fireplace wasnt working consistently. We were told by one company that the parts were bad and out of date and it couldnt be replaced. Wed have to install a brand-new fireplace because this one couldnt be fixed. I called Texas Air Doctors for a second opinion and it was fixed in a matter of minutes - just a loose wire! Cost $99 which was applied to annual membership! He did tell us that there was a part that may go sometime, that will cost around $500, but he was confident he could fix it. WE ARE SO GRATEFUL TO TEXAS AIR DOCTORS because a cold season without a working fireplace was just going to be too sad. Thank you! Highly recommend.

Our AC went out during a storm so my husband called Texas Air Doctors to come check it out. They offered to come that evening, but the weather had cooled a bit so we opted for a visit the following morning. Daniel was our serviceman and he is AWESOME. Once he discovered the problem, he took the time to explain exactly what happened in laymens terms (which made it MUCH easier for me to explain to my husband while he was at work). He gave me a couple options (including a surge protector installation to prevent the problem in the future) and a general timeline on the repairs. He was so professional and I didnt feel annoying asking all my questions! The price was great and my husband and I are comfortable knowing exactly what we paid for due to Daniels description of the problem/unit. Cannot say enough good things about Daniel and Texas Air Doctors. If you use any other company, youre making a mistake.

We called Texas Air Doctors because our thermostat was set to 74 and the temperature was 82. It was after 3pm and they had someone at our house soon after 5. They analyzed the problem and performed a temporary fix until they could order and install a new part. The part arrived and they made the repair within two days. We did not have to endure a hot house. In addition to great service, everyone involved was very friendly and explained everything.

I am a Realtor and had a vacant listing I needed a repair on. The fireplace was lighting but would not stay lit. I called a fireplace repair company and they directed me to Texas Air Doctors. They came out quickly to look at the issue and explained to me in clear detail about the work that needed to be done. They finished the repair and the price was very reasonable. On time for HVAC cooling service with dryer vent cleaning. Blake was great to work with did all the regular service on HVAC and MiniSplit system plus cleaned dryer vent which he showed pictures on lint build up after 15 years. Finally fixed a disconnection in stove top vent that we were unaware off. All the service personnel for Texas Air Doctors have been very profesional over the couple of years we have had them regular performing service

Daniel came over to inspect our air conditioning units. He was very professional and nice. He did the job, and reported the findings to us in a clear report. We have used Texas Air Dr’s for a few years now and we recommend them.

Blake serviced my fire place. It had been red taged by Atmos for over 3 years because we thought we smelled gas. Atmos found no gas leak but said we needed to have it serviced by a fireplace company before we could use it. We just got around to having it looked at. After Blake went through his maintenance he found no gas leak but he did find an issue with some wiring that has to do with shutting the fireplace off when it gets too hot. Evidently when we had it worked on before they did not wire it correctly and left it as is. Because the wire that we need to fix the problem cannot be found, we still have no fireplace. If Blake had not done a thorough maintenance, we would not have known about this problem. He also found water leaking into the fireplace, unfortunately that is a roofing issue. Who do you trust these days. People do just enough to get by. We used the fireplace after the first company came out and deemed it ok to use. Thank God nothing happened. I will definitely use this company again because they do more than fireplace, they also do HVAC work.

Blake did a stellar job. I needed an AC vent in my master closet and he did a truly professional job. No tying into the existing bathroom vent but ran a totally new dedicated duct from the unit as you should. This is a really courteous, professional service.

They call to remind me that its time for my a/c to be serviced when they will not make a dime on it (because we are under a low cost maintenance agreement). They didnt charge for this last service charge until they had a few things that needed to be done and it cost a whopping $35.00!

Jeff arrived early, after first calling to confirm. He inspected our gas fireplace, listened to the issues we were having and quickly diagnosed the problem. He had us up and running quickly, in time for the holidays.

I have dealt with many companies to fix something in my home. It is tough for a home owner to figure out What company to use that knows what they are doing and don’t try to rip you off in some way. I chose Texas Air Doctors because I saw other reviews saying that they did a good job installing their AC unit. Well, Those who recommended Texas Air Doctors were correct. This company has professionals who know their business, and they installed my new AC/Heating system without a problem. You can tell a professional group of people by the way they don’t stumble around doing something. Each of the team worked in a totally flawless manner, and each thing they’d did they did expertly. I’m an electronic engineer and I can tell when people know their trade by how flawless they work. I would hire Texas Air doctors again for any other AC work I need. One other thing I liked about this company. I also had them give me a quote on clieaning out my Fireplace because another company said I had problems. They also said I need to replace my fake rocks and wood. They quoted me over $1500 to do that work. I asked Jeff, one of the family owning Tessa Air Doctors to look at it and give me a quote. He took a look, used his phone camera to look up into the chimney for problems, and told me after, “There is nothing here to do”. It is all ok. Just turn on your gas and let it burn off anything in there. Your chimney is in good Conditon”. The previous company said there was all sorts of problems. So, I was very pleasantly surprised Jeff said I did not need any work on my fireplace. If he was disreputable like some other companies, he would have quoted me on something I did not need anyway. I have been a customer of Texas Air Doctors since we moved to our home in Flower Mound. I called them the first time for a heat and air conditioner inspection as the house we purchased was 6 years old and I wanted to know what condition our equipment was in. It was summer and I was concerned because our house was not cooling properly. The two units which were installed when our house was first built were borderline large enough to cool our 3600 sq ft house and not very energy efficient. I had a new larger unit installed downstairs and enjoyed a much cooler house, along with a savings of about $100.00 a month on my electric bill. I also had them install a cover on the attic ladder for more efficiency. The next summer I had the upstairs unit replaced with a larger one and noticed another savings of $100 per month on electric.I joined their mustang program the first time they came out because I realized I would be saving money in the long run with the equipment I was purchasing and the two yearly maintenance check ups. They also check my gas fireplace when they come out for fall check ups.I have been very pleased with the service providers who have come to work on my home, as well as the rates I have been quoted for equipment. I would not think about using another HVAC company to work on my systems. They have proven to be trustworthy company in the past 7 years.

Moved into our home 7 years ago. Gas fireplace was installed in 2007 and hardly used by former owners. We have never used it til now. Called for a safety inspection and Daniel came out and went through all the components checking for isues. Found it to be in almost new condition. He explained all the things that we needed to know about safe operation. He was very informative and I would highly recommend him to all my riends and family. Five star serviceman. Ive been using Texas Air Doctors for a couple of years. My heating and air conditioning system is really old and will have to be replaced at some point, but they have managed to keep it working so far. Days before the February freeze this year I called to see if they could do anything to encourage the system to produce more heat. Jeff came over right away to assess. My system was problematic at best, but between the efforts of Jeff, Taylor, and Deandra my heater was the best it has ever been by the time the temperature fell to freezing. Deandra just called to ask about scheduling an AC check up that I forgot to schedule this year. Of course I scheduled right away!

The technician diagnosed my gas fireplace as needing a new pilot light assembly which would cost $1,400 and if I signed up for their service contract (another $100 ) I could save 20%. He said the “generator” was the problem and not getting enough heat for the pilot to light. I was a bit suspicious since I clearly know a gas fireplace doesn’t have a generator. However, since I was anxious to have it fixed I went with the suggested contract and was told I would get a call when the part was in. I then went to Fireplace and BBQ in Southlake to inquire about what I had been told. Their price to replace the part and the service call came to a total of $351. When their technician came out to replace the part he immediately said with the pilot light burning the Air Drs diagnoses could be correct. He then blew out the line to the pilot light and all is now working. So I would have spent 1,200 for absolutely nothing!!!! Air Dr also told me they would return the $100 service contract fee which to this date has not happened!

Daniel came by to tune up our gas fireplace and he was fantastic. He was fast, efficient, on-time and explained everything very clearly. I would highly recommend Texas Air Doctors and Daniel.

TX Air Doctors have been a phenomenal partner in keeping our home cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Weve used them for maintenance, repairs, and the installation of new HVAC units and have been very pleased with all three services.

Excellent service, expeditious, polite. My only concern is I am always advised to have additional service.

NOT HAPPY. They came to service our AC for $99 (coupon). 45 minutes later, the technician told me we were looking at a $3500 repair (a leak and a needed a new motor). My husband wasnt home at the time, but he called them to see what exactly the problem was. The air was working/cooling just fine; we just needed it serviced! He wasnt happy with the fuzzy explanation given and asked them to email him an itemized quote. The quote was two lines--a leak and a new motor--nothing about parts needed or cost of labor. He called again to ask for an itemized/more detailed quote, and they sent him the same thing they had previously sent.We had a bad feeling, so we called Sears to get a second opinion. In short, the Sears technician said the unit hadnt even been opened in years and was very dusty (so the TAD guy didnt even open the unit!). The $3500 repair ended up costing us $608 from Sears, which included the servicing (he spent about 2 hours cleaning the thing), added freon (the other guy was supposed to have done that but clearly didnt), and a leak sealant just to make sure there was no slow leak (he didnt see one).Call these people if you must, but get a second opinion if they tell you you need a repair on a working unit.

On February 14th I paid Texas Air Doctors $569.00 to clean what our technician Daniel described as a “rotten egg smell” because we had some warmer temperatures in February causing us to go between heat and air. He tried to sell us a couple of very expensive options to fix the issue or said he could just clean the system out which would take about 30 minutes. Daniel tried to sell us two different very expensive options that he said would take the smell out permanently. I explained to Daniel that I am on unemployment and couldn’t really afford to spend over $1400 to fix a bad smell and that I needed to try just cleaning it out first.He agreed to clean it out and explained If I paid a little bit more that I could sign up for their VIP service which meant he could come back out and clean out our outside air conditioning units by using a high pressured spray wash and that he would also be happy to change out our air filters if I bought them in advance. Daniel told me to call back in late March to schedule the service to beat the Spring rush as they get very busy. Due to Covid 19 in late March we decided to wait until the last few weeks to call.When I called the first time to schedule the service (remember I paid $569 for a 30 mins cleaning to get a rotten egg smell out) I was told that Daniel already did the Spring cleaning on February 14th. I told the woman who answered, how can that be? Daniel wasn’t at our house for very long and why would he sell me this service and tell me to call back? I guess they were calling me a liar for some reason. Didn’t they wonder why Daniel did a Spring cleaning in mid-February?? Regardless they said he would come out. Well the day he was supposed to come out Texas Air called me to cancel because they had someone whose air conditioning went out and asked if he could come another time. I said yes to accommodate. Nobody called me back to reschedule so I called back again to have Daniel come out. They said Daniel would come out on Thursday, June 25th. On June 24th I got a call that Daniel was taking a personal day and is it ok if someone else came out. I said sure no problem. The technician came out and was very nice. I came outside to see what he was doing and he asked if he could use my water hose because it was similar to his and was already hooked up. No big deal but I guess that high powered wash that Daniel described was just using my own water hose. When talking to the technician he again brought up to me that - “by the way, Daniel did this (Spring Cleaning) in February when he was here but it’s ok.” I said to the technician, sorry to correct you but Daniel did not do this in February - I was here. Daniel also sold me on this service and said he would come back. Not sure why everyone in the company wants to call me a liar because as the technician pointed out - Daniel put it in his notes that he did al of this in his one and only visit to our home.I have complained about exactly two companies in 20 years. I rarely complain about anything. But the technician today making a comment that Daniel had already completed this service really set me off. This was my first experience using Texas Air Doctors and I would never use them again. To me $569 to clean the system which was 30 minutes is very expensive and to be up -sold on different products and then be challenged on what was a technician changing out two filters and spraying down my outside A/C with my own hose is something I could do myself. That’s what I upgraded for and they complained had already been completed in February?

I scheduled an appt with these folks based upon what looked like good Google reviews and a direct mailer i had received from them in mail. I was having trouble with ignition on two gas fireplaces ($99 for service call for each FP).FP1 was a simple fix but the tech had some trouble diagnosing FP2. He surmised that root cause was a bad gas valve (not typical) and quoted me $1926 to replace the manifold and generator (also said the valve alone was more expensive than entire manifold).I knew this was not only a high estimate but likely approaching fraudulent. I called another highly rated gas fireplace tech (CDR Fireplaces) and guess what? The gas valve and damper switch were indeed bad and total repair was $431!Would love to hear the explanation for this as quite honestly this is just plain wrong! If you have gas fireplace issues, I highly recommend you avoid Texas Air and call Melissa at CDR.
