AC Hero replaced my AC system completely. They are professional, efficient and respectful. They completed the job in a timely manner and followed up to see if I was satisfied. Had my HVAC fail, and what I tried did not work. I needed a Hero, and I got Frank G. Frank is the guy you want working on your stuff. Knowledgeable, friendly, and thorough. Frank had my old system fixed same day and back to normal. I know my system needs more love, and AC Hero will be my first call for an updated system. But, I know that they can keep my old system running when I need it.

We first called AC Hero for a pesky outdoor faucet leak, but the universe had other plans—our heating/AC quit the very same weekend! Fast forward, and we’ve now had not one, but two complete systems replaced. AC Hero has been our go-to for everything from bids to big fixes, thanks to their stellar customer service (a dealbreaker for me!). Frank and Tyler bring their A-game every time, along with a handful of others, but the real MVP is Rita, the scheduling wizard. She’s lightning-fast, incredibly kind, and somehow makes even emergencies feel manageable. If you’re on the fence, don’t be—these folks are superstars!

Great experience. Frank and Diego were knowledgeable and both made quick work replacing the very old indoor and outdoor HVAC units. They were clear throughout the process and helpful answering questions, giving options, etc. Would recommend

I bought a hot water heater from AC hero and 3 years later it needed to be replaced because of a leak. They came out and told me that it was no longer under warranty, not even parts warranty. They told me that the hard water we have caused the leak. I lived in places where the water was way harder than I have now and my hot water heaters always lasted between 8 - 10 years. They also always charge a fee to come out. I do not recommend.

Their customer service and management team are outstanding. Frank is an excellent technician who knows his area of experience backwards and forwards. I highly recommend him and his company for anything ac/heating related

Had backup on the tub and then in the toilet. They came over that evening. They had to run a camera and found a cracked pipe. The next day they dug under house and repaired the Crack. I appreciated the fast job so that we were able to bathroom again.

We own an AirBnB and had a report from the guests on Thanksgiving that the heat wasnt working. It had been 80 degrees outside the day before, but dropped to the 50s on the holiday. Im a DIY kinda person, so I headed over to see what was up. On the way, I called AC Hero because - if I couldnt fix it - Id need a hero on Thanksgiving Day. I couldnt figure out the issue, and Nick arrived pretty quickly. He checked over the system and quickly determined what the issue was. As much as I hated to call a technician out on Thanksgiving Day, Im glad that AC Hero had someone available!

We needed a kitchen faucet replaced and Shane did a great job. Some substandard parts were used when the house was built 18 years ago but Shane was able to get us up and running with a new faucet!

We live in a 1920s bungalow and had a gas line tested and repaired. On day one Eric Burns showed up on time and performed a thorough inspection. I was happy with his detailed explanation about what repairs needed to be completed. Most of all he expressed concern about our safety as a gas leak can be fatal. Once he determined we were safe he scheduled the repair. The following day Jacob arrived ahead of schedule and repaired, tested and inspected our system. The price for the work performed was fair and reasonable. The professionalism of both Technicians was amazing! This was a great experience and we recommend and will use AC Hero again!

Called AC Hero at 12:26 pm, Technician arrived at 1:00 pm.Replaced flexible segment of gas plumbing under stove that was found to be leaking Natural Gas as determined by Atmos Energy crew the night before. Total time for service call = 1.5 hours.(30 minutes of that time due to need to purchase part from local home improvement store.) After completion of work, a gas leak test was performed: hand held electronic detection device & soapy spray water bubble test. Total price $309 w/tax

We needed same day service and The AC Hero delivered!!! The company we typically use is always three days out till you are serviced. We have definitely added this company to the top of our list. I called today to have them look at a leak under the kitchen sink, thinking Id have to wait to schedule the work to be done, but theyre doing the work right now. Called The AC Hero as I needed a condensation line on my AC unit blown out and some algaecide poured down the line. It is $79 for them to walk in your door. More than my doctor. After checking up in my attic he wanted to charge me over $500 for a 10 minute job plus the $79 for the honor of their presence. Even if he wanted to use a directional valve in the line, that would be only $4.95 at Lowes. I was furious that they would over charge such a massive amount. They did not get my business. If you are smart…..they won’t get yours.

After being without plumbing for a week AC Hero Plumbing came out the next day and fixed my issue. They would have came the same day but I requested next day. Scott with AC Hero & Plumbing was my technician and he was on time and came prepared. He assessed the problem, gave me a quote , and got it done. He used a camera to see inside my line and pinpointed the issue. The rest was just left to doing the job. It didn’t take long and once he had the line clear he thoroughly checked to make sure everything was clear and flowing before he left. This was my first time using them and I am a satisfied customer. A big thanks to Scott at AC Hero Plumbing.

I called on Friday evening when I discovered I did not have any hot water. The representative called me back to let me know that the technician can come out on Saturday but it would be $189. I wanted to get a solution so I set up the appointment. Then I get a call on Saturday informing me that the technician would not be out and Monday would be the earliest time for a $79 service charge. The representative let me know that the technician will call me 30 to 45 minutes ahead of time with a ETA. Monday morning at 8:35. I received a knock on the door and it was the technician. I did not get a phone call before hand. Shane came in without any tools or shoe covers. I directed him to water heater and explained the issues I was having. I already performed some troubleshooting and informed him. He immediately looked at the water heater and stated I needed to buy a new one. He did not test anything or try to find a solution to fix it. He then stated he would be in his van to issue a quote and I can set up service when I’m ready to buy their water heater. There was no information on what went wrong. There was nothing, but buy a new water heater. I was completely unsatisfied with his service and called a different provider out. Go Billy came out the same day and gave me a temporary solution to hold over until I got the water heater installed on Wednesday. He explained what happened to the water heater and how to get the most longevity out of the new one. I paid for a $79 service and the technician didn’t do anything at AC hero. I went with go Billy and the diagnostic was free. The temporary solution was free and they set me up with a new water heater. Which was better than what Shane’s quote provided. I got a bigger water heater, 12 year warranty parts and labor, and piece of mind for less than AC Hero quoted. I would not recommend AC Hero.

We were having trouble with our air conditioner and called for help. They showed up right own time. Scott was who showed up. He was so on time and very personable! Got our air working within 30 minutes. Thank you Scott for making us cool! Would recommend this company for any heating or air troubles!

I called AC Hero on Friday morning because our AC wasnt working. I had a tech out before noon. Our tech was Frank. Super nice, knowledgeable, courteous and respectful. It wasnt news we were hoping for. But we a have a replacement coming Monday. Frank even took time to call us after hours on a Friday evening to work with us when we changed our mind and had some additional questions.I would recommend AC hero and will use them again if needed.

I am so grateful for this company. Rita in the office is so kind, and encouraging. That positivity and joy is hard to find within many companies. Thankfully each time we need a tech, Tyler comes. I came home after a long day to water running from my yard to the street. After my husband located where it was coming from, he found out we had a busted pipe. I called The AC Hero late Monday afternoon and one of their techs was at our place of business first thing Tuesday morning. Robert was extremely helpful in discussing the problems with our chiller and giving me options for repairs, replacement, and rentals. Robert started working on repairs about 2 pm when it was extremely hot and working in a very hot environment, and stayed on the job until approximately 9 pm when the job was complete. He was very knowledgeable and professional, and I would highly recommend them. The AC Hero will be our go to company from now on for our ac and chiller needs.

Zack H and Frank came out today to install my outside unit that needed to be replaced. They were very professional. They were very courteous they got right to work they replace the unit they help me get my phone hooked up to the unit so I can control it they had an issue with the thermostat being smaller but they handled the issue and got a solution and fixed it right away. They both did really well. I appreciate you sending them to do my air conditioning repairs.andTyler was very professional, very courteous, very knowledgeable. The best AC Service Company in DFW. A truly fast response and friendly employees. I requested a service after 10 p.m. and i was contacted within 15 minutes and an appointment was scheduled for the next morning. Frank performed a thorough inspection of my equipment and gave me a clear explanation of the problems found. I was presented with different options for repair with no pressure and then given an expectation of how and when the work would be performed. Dont suffer in the Texas heat, contact AC Hero anytime day or night.

An incoming water line developed a leak inside a bedroom wall. The technician Brian found the leak in a short time. He repaired the leak and the wall in a very few minutes. Brian was very efficient, knowledgeable, and polite. Will definitely use The AC Hero again. Service was excellent. I called for help Saturday morning and the leak was repaired by 2:00 pm.

Make sure when you hire someone that they do not drive like a maniac. More than once I have encountered one of your drivers on I-35E (south of Dallas driving north in the morning and south in the evening between Lancaster and Red Oak) driving reckless and highly aggressive. I’ll try to get a picture of the vehicle next time I encounter, which I’m sure I will…I would advise you remind your drivers that the name of the company is literally on their vehicle (oh, and it was a Mercedes sprinter, not sure if that narrrows it down) 😅

After contacting them to install my upstairs unit Tyler was out at my house a few hours later to give me a quote. After looking at my two units and going through my option he was able to give me 5 different prices for different service options. After choosing my option they were out the next morning installing my new unit, adjusting downstairs unit, replacing the draining, clearing out the sink line the ac drained to, and installed all new duct work. They were fast and very efficient and everything looks great.They even hung the attic units from the rafters and now I have a lot more storage then before.I would highly recommend and will be contacting them in the future.

Clay was great! He came out on a holiday weekend and quickly diagnosed the issue and although the part wasnt readily available gave us a resolution to keep the heat going until the part was available to repair the furnace.

From day 1, the AC Hero team went above and beyond in every single way you can think of. We recently had a flash flood and knew we would need a lot of work done to get everything replaced. AC Hero was there for us almost immediately. Tyler came out to our property to assess the situation and was the most thorough person we’ve ever had in our home. That day alone made the choice to go with AC Hero incredibly easy for us. You could tell they cared about us, the job and making sure no corners were cut and nothing was forgotten. If we weren’t on board with a proposed solution, they understood and worked hard to find an alternative we were happy with. We ended up needing the entire system replaced and the guys worked hard to make sure we were never left without AC in the middle of summer in Texas. We are so incredibly thankful for Tyler and the entire AC hero team we had the pleasure of getting to know as they worked so hard in our home. We know it was no easy task!

These guys did a great job on my 70,000sqft building. We had a large and very unique problem. The owner came in personally and helped strategize the most cost effective plan. He met countless times with engineers and experts to ensure we were all on the same page and things were moving forward correctly. If there was ever a question, they’re response time was immediate. I highly recommend this company. Ownership is attentive, quality is great and customer service was immaculate.

Our AC went out while it was 100 degrees outside and we were out running errands. By the time we got home it was 87 in our house when it was supposed to be 71. I had called 9 other places before I got to AC Hero. The lady who answered was incredibly nice and was extremely sympathetic to my situation. She made sure to let me know that she couldn’t give a specific time due to different situations needing different amounts of time but that they would absolutely be there before the evening. She also notified me that they would be giving a 30 min call when close. I got that call less than an hour later and he arrived within 25 mins of the call. I had thought that only one of our units was broken but as soon as he walked up to the units, he diagnosed the problem and called to get the associated parts. Both of our units had failed. In 30 minutes he gave us an update and 15 after that our main unit was fixed. Our secondary unit would’ve been right behind it if he had the part but because he knew the problem he had called ahead to get the part enroute while he worked on the other. He was cordial and efficient and in about 1.5 hours he had AC again.I absolutely will be using AC Hero again if we ever need heating or air work again!

We had a hot water line leaking behind a half bath / along stairwell. It was leaking into garage. AC Hero was here within 30 mins (AfterHours) and found and fixed the leak before any more damage was done. Would recommend and use again! Ryan M was awesome!

Tyler showed up on time and had the problem with my AC unit diagnosed in a few mins. He swapped out a bad capacitor and had it blowing cold air in less than an hour. He did some other diagnostic checks on the outside units and made some recommendations for preventive maintenance but no hard sell, just suggestions. Overall, great experience as usual.

Tyler was very professional and personable. He quickly diagnosed my variable speed blower motor was bad and also checked the entire A/C system to make sure nothing else was in error or about to cause future problems. Quickly replaced the bad unit and got my A/C running perfect.However, Upon receiving receipt, an itemized bill was not that. It simply listed the part and the final price. Upon asking for a detailed receipt for parts and labor, this was the response-Our Service software just gives us flat rate pricing it doesnt base prices on labor and material. We just put in what we are doing to find the price.So nearly $3,000 for a variable speed blower motor (ranges from from $200-800 on Grainger) and 3 hours including diagnosis, service fee, part number locating and item pickup and removal/install....I did appreciate the service, and nothing against the service member who performed the work-but EVERYONE I explained to about the part and work and price agrees-that is a VERY overly expensive deal. Buyers remorse.

Tyler was my tech, he was super informative, very polite, professional and pleasant to deal with. He explained the root cause of the failure with my AC unit and explained in full detail how to maintain my system. We were without AC for 2 weeks dealing with MULTIPLE companies sent by our terrible home warranty service. Had Eric the plumber come out on the weekend to help with a massive drain clog. Very friendly and honest service. Price for the service call on the weekend was 1/5 the price of any other place I called. Eric arrived faster than expected and quickly and professionally helped fix the issue. He also gave me some tips and provided me with some additional knowledge on how my system works which I consider above and beyond service. Would definitely seek plumbing services from this team again in the future!

Everything is working fine now.I contacted AC Hero and several other Major Named Plumbing companies on Monday afternoon. All the other large companies told me they would not be able to come out for several days. AC Hero was out to my home Monday evening to inspect and evaluate the problem. They scheduled the repair for Tuesday morning, and by Tuesday evening they had it fixed. So AC Hero was able to fix my problem before the Big Companies could even come out to see my problem. But the most impressive and important thing about their service was their HONESTY with me. They explain all my options with pricing, and DID NOT push me toward the most expensive solution. We got go a door tag from RH water department saying we had a leak,I called two plumbers the first plumber was going to charge 189 for service fee. AC Hero charged 100.00 service fee. We have no leakThe toilet just likes to run. After my AC unit unexpectedly went out, I was completely stressed with not only researching quotes I could afford (5 ton unit), but also being completely educated in what it was I was even purchasing. Jim with AC Hero did not disappoint. He was the only vendor that sat down with me and walked me through all of my options, step by step. He was even prepared with diagrams to illustrate the mechanics of each option. His soft-spoken demeanor and patience with answering my numerous questions only added to my entire experience with him. The installation process was just as seamless. I felt completely comfortable with Richard, who was a true professional throughout and extremely knowledgeable. He even worked in the rain to make sure my install was complete. I have used The AC Hero for multiple properties. Recently we had our furnace checked for routine maintenance on a new home we purchased in N Richland Hills. This system is about 15 years old and I was sure it was due to be replaced. They saved our family quite a bit of money by fixing the issue instead of suggesting we replace the entire unit like two other companies had done. We recently had a problem with our heating/ac unit, upon contact with The AC Hero company, Jayme responded to our home and promptly began a diagnosis on our heating/ac system. We had a pretty good idea what the problem was, and after a check of our system, Jayme came to the same conclusion. Further, he went ahead and checked out our whole system to see if everything else was working fine. After his check of the whole system he informed us that the repair he recommended would take care of the problem. Having retrieved the parts necessary to complete the repair, Jayme operated the system giving both the ac and heating unit a operation check, which was successful. So I want to say that this review does not in anyway represent the kind and thorough service men who came to my home. I just feel like the actual company is way over priced and ripped me off for the work that they did. $4000 just to clean my AC system, insulate the wiring on outside unit, and install a pvc drain line.I wanna cry just thinking about it. I did approve the estimate, I just thought it would be more involved than what they actually did.

Eric went above and beyond. Pipes burst in my garage during the Jan 2021 Texas snow and freeze and ACE was able to send someone the same day. He capped off our pipes to the washer/dryer unit quickly so we could restore water to our house. He ensured everything was safe and got us scheduled quickly for them to return in a few days to fully repair. Considering that half of Dallas had pipes bursting all over and most couldnt get a plumber to come for days - - this was a godsend. He was quick, friendly, responsive - - and honestly came late in the day to early evening when his day was actually done, but saw we needed help and got us in. I have used ACE for a while and its always in crisis when lots of people need plumbers. They came through big! Thank you Eric and ACE!

My mothers water heater quit heating so she called this company for a repair man to Come and take a look at it. When Mr. Gomez showed up at her house he went straight to the water heater looked at it for five seconds took pictures of it and then proceeded to tell my mother that the hot water heater was No good anymore. She said the water heater was only 7 years old, and oddly enough he told her that that particular hot water heater only last seven years. Went out to his truck come back in with an estimate of $3200 to replace the water heater. She was caught off guard and ask if they had financing and he helped her apply for a “loan” and she was approved. He had already billed the $3200 to this said loan which ended up being a line of credit that he helped her apply for. He didn’t leave her any paperwork any copy of anything that she had signed, not even a business card. Her not knowing any better (the cost of plumbers, and brand new water heater) once Mr. Gomez left my mothers house within 20 minutes she reached out to family. Two separate family members called the company and spoke with Mr. Gomez to cancel this installation and both of them were told of a matter of fact that it could not be canceled because she had signed a contract and the parts and labor had already been paid for (the installment haven’t even taken place yet) the following morning I called the company and asked to speak with a manager or the owner and a young lady with children in the background took my name and phone number and said she would have the manager call me within just a few minutes Mr. Gomez called me I began to explain to him that my mother was 71 years old and didn’t really know a whole lot about what was happening to her. She was clearly being taken advantage of. I told him I wanted to cancel the appointment and he said it was too late the parts were already there and that it couldn’t be canceled. He asked why we wanted to cancel the appointment and I told him because $3200 is outrageous that we could go purchase a water heater ourselves and install it he said my mother had told him the truth that we were going to have an ex-boyfriend of one of the daughters install it for exchange of sex. This was absolutely a lie and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! After a little bit of going back-and-forth with Mr. Gomez he finally said OK I’ll cancel the appointment but we’re leaving the parts in the driveway and we’re still billing your mom the $3200. I got a hold of Wells Fargo and we figured out that it was a line of credit and we filed a dispute for the 3200 that had already been billed to the line of credit.If Mr. Gomez would have taken the time to troubleshoot and see what was really going on with the water heater he would’ve learned that my mother had turned the temperature up on it a few days before and it shut off due to high heat once I relit the pilot light and turned it back on it was running perfectly fine. I do not recommend this company.

The AC Hero’s were fantastic. We called for help on Thursday and they installed unit on Friday.Even though the temps were 98 degrees & above, these guys never stopped working on replacing our A/C unit, replacing all our duck work, and replaced our hot water tank, all in one day. Brian & James were great and answered our questions, even showing us how it all worked. James helped us with questions to the techs on the ac because they were unable to understand English. Thanks to Brian and James for taking care of us two old people.

I asked a friend and co worker if they knew of anyone they trusted who worked on Home Air Conditioning and she referred me to Jaime the owner of The AC Hero.First of all my family had just been treated poorly by a competitor who charged us 1200 to service our two units and said we needed to replace one of the outside units for 8k. So I was not in a trusting mood when I met Jaime, through no fault of his own.Jaime took the time to walk me through his entire evaluation process and showed me how our existing systems where leaking poorly, both in the attic systems and the outside systems. I was very worried, the Freon and Mold I saw being expelled into our house where our kids sleep was scary. Then we sat down to go over numbers. We have two systems. The previous company wanted 8k for one outdoor system. Jaime bid on replacing both systems outside and inside. I told him that was simply too much. He figured out a way to salvage one outdoor system and replaced one outdoor system and both attic systems. His price was $11k. He did 3 times the work, more if you include demolition and he was only slightly higher than Air Experts who wanted 8k for one outdoor system.His team came exactly on time, where polite and removed and installed stage units in around 5 hours. They where quite.By choosing The AC hero and Jaime we are spending just under $140 a month on a system whose monthly expense is $500 for utilities. I’m sure with the increase in efficiencies that we made the right decision. The best part though was how professional and polite Jaime and his lead installer Clay where to my family and me.I don’t write reviews very often but Jaime and Clay are simply the best at what they do.Tim Frank small business owner, Dad and Husband

I would definitely NOT recommend this company! I have previously given them a good recommendation, but I learned it was premature.. They put a part on my A/C that was not right and it caused other parts to need replacement.. These parts both had 10 year warranties and they lied and made me buy new ones.. They now wont take responsibility for this and refuse to honor the warranty on these parts. The owner refuses to call to discuss the issue.. Very unprofessional!! I am now going to need to replace a very expensive part due to this error that they refuse to acknowledge.. Very disappointed

I called The AC Hero Wednesday morning and the tech arrived the same afternoon. I was given three options to fix my problems. The tech set up a Friday date to install a new system inside and out. The installers showed up Friday morning and I had a new AC system by 2:00pm.

I have called these guys several times to revise a recent invoice and no one from their billing department has been able to make the revision. I’m very frustrated and disappointed. I will never use this company again!

******home owners beware****When we requested this company to look at our AC to diagnose the problem we knew the charge was $189 but we read several good reviews and had faith in their business. The fan on the unit was working but the AC was not. When they left the fan was no longer working and they stated they would email the list of what needed to be repaired. We paid the 187.00 and never received the written diagnosisand the quote was almost 1300.00. We arranged for another company to come out and they did the work for 900.00 and said that it appears this company blew out the fan.

I made an appointment with them and yet the technician did not show up, not even a call or a text. I wanted to be sure my system was maintained and will serve me for years to come. I started with an inspection and we agreed to services, including duct cleaning and maintenance of the system. Raul and Wes were on top of it! They showed up on time, communicated clearly, and helped me get this task crossed off my list of ‘to do’ items for the house. I will have them back next year for ongoing preventive maintenance.

Thank God honest A/C technicians still exist. I recently was having trouble with my 5 year old A/C condenser. With the temperatures being in the 100s and my thermostat reading 95 degrees in my house. I called out an A/C technician to come out and trouble shoot my A/C problems. The technician arrived at my house and conducted several test to diagnose the problem and came to the conclusion that it looks like it might be the compressor in the condenser and will be expensive to fix. The technician suggested I call the original company who installed my new HVAC system in my house just a little over five years ago and that it may still be under warranty. I called the Appliance & Air Care Experts to come look at the condenser they sold me a little over 5 years ago. I had no problems with them installing my HVAC system in my house and they were very professional 5 years ago, so I thought they could be trusted. Boy, was I wrong about that. The technician ran some test and and told me that the compressor is no good and that it needs to be replaced. The technician then informed me that my warranty expired in March and that it would be $2,7000 to replace the compressor or $3,700 for a new condenser. I asked the technician if its normal for a compressor to go out after just 5 years? He responded it happens. I didnt believe that it was normal for a compressor to just stop working after 5 years and called The AC Hero company. The A/C technician Sean was very punctual and courteous upon arriving at my home. He stated he was reading some of the notes I had left on The AC Hero booking website and felt that something wasnt adding up to what the 2 previous technician were telling me. Sean quickly went to work and tested my A/C unit and informed me that he couldnt find anything wrong with my compressor. Sean informed me that the unit was over charged with coolant and that he was going to bleed some out of the system and that the coils were very dirty and need a good cleaning. Sean proceeded to clean my coils with my water hose and presto magic the condenser started working again. He recommended I change the capacitor and routinely clean the coils by hosing them down with water. Sean and the AC Hero company impressed me with their professionalism and honesty and have won my customer loyalty. I will now be calling AC Hero for all my HVAC needs.

I had another company out that confirmed the scam. My coil was bad,. I will be reporting this to BBB. Do not use this company. They have no idea what they are doing.

I would give them 0 stars. They cam to my store in in July 2018 to look at cooler. They put in Freon. Charged about $700. It worked fine for 3 days and then again stopped working. Called them again. They were supposed to come in the morning so we turned off cooler at night so it is defrosted when they come. In the morning they said they cannot make it and didnt give us time on when he will come. So we turned on cooler. They showd up late evening without notifying. He comes and turns off coller and waits there for 3 hours! ridiculous! he comes back next morning. and then gives us bill of $1450+ without even fixing anything.Tells us it will be $4000+ to fix it. Next day we call someone else. He fixes the cooler for $200. It is still running for 6+ months without any problem.

Brand new system installed 10 mos ago on paper-thin flooring that they assured us IN WRITING theyd have repaired 1st. Now, brand new unit isnt even working right.
