Honest Abe’s came out exactly when they said they would. Very nice guy( Christian) who explained what he’d be doing. Looked over everything and fixed exactly what was needed. No trying to upsell. No trying to convince us we need a whole new unit. They will be our go to from here out. We have quite a few expenses at the moment and times are tight. When the AC quit our hearts sank. Honest Abe saved me over $3K. I consulted with 3 HVAC contractors prior to working with Honest Abe. All of them told me that a search had revealed my broken a/c part was out of warranty; therefore, I would have to buy a new part. Honest Abe did a thorough search and learned that the part was still under warranty. The cost was significantly less than a new part. The problem was diagnosed on Tuesday, and the part was ordered and installed by Thursday afternoon. All the techs I encountered were polite, considerate, and professional. Definitely recommend!

They also made some changes to the existing duct to ensure the whole house was getting the heating/cooling, as one of our rooms was always either too hot or cold. Honest Abe took AMAZING care of us when our older outdoor unit finally gave in on a 110° day. We had some big budget constraints and they worked to find a solution that worked perfectly for our needs. First, I would like to say their customer service is impeccable. I had 2 other quotes from other HVAC companies with high and low quotes. Orlando gave me three quotes but also after leaving found another AC unit and sent the quote to me, which was the one, I selected. I have been putting off replacing my 20 yr. unit and duct work for a while because of cost but if I had of known the pricing was reasonable as Honest Abes works to find solutions, I would have done it sooner. Marisa the finance specialist worked with me finding financing I felt comfortable with paying monthly. When the crew arrived Issac, Dominyk and Christian, introduced themselves and immediately laid down drop clothes on my floor. You could tell they took pride in their work by the way I observed them double checking before they moved to the next step.These gentlemen were polite and courteous. The technician educated me demonstrating how to operate the new thermostat assuring me if I had any questions to call them. When the job was completed in a day even though they asked for 2 they cleaned all areas that were dusty and affected by the install. I HIGHLY RECCOMEND THEM. If you have been putting off replacing your HVAC unit because of cost ,call them. Honest Abe is Truly honest.

Great guys super helpful telling me how to fix my problem. It was unit type they dont usually work on (seems to be made to be replaced rather than repaired). After trying what they could, they told me how to replace it and what I needed to do it. And because the appointment shouldnt have been booked they wouldnt even let me pay them. The only other ac company to respond to my call just said we dont work on those. No reason why or who to call or anything. I would be at a loss without Honest Abe. So if you do stop PTAC calls please say its because they generally cant be serviced and are a pretty easy drop in replacement.

I had a really good experience with Honest Abe for the whole process of getting a new AC installed. Got their info from a friend who used them for a new unit as well and really liked them. Called for an estimate and Orlando came out, went through everything thoroughly and sat down with me to give me options of what I could do (good, better, best, etc). He was very knowledgeable and showed insight into what would work well with my particular house. The estimate I was given was my actual bill later, with no upcharge surprises, and they never pressured me to buy anything. I asked a lot of questions and he answered them all eagerly. I got the impression that Orlando and his company really were about giving a good service to his customers. On install day his crew was professional and courteous (big plus for the wife) and did an outstanding job. After the install they will come back in a few months to check on everything to make sure everything is operating as advertised. They have a maintenance plan that you can sign up for to take care of your new unit and I will definitely be taking them up on that.

Initial install seemed to be great 10 year warranty was expressed.2 years later the American Standard system leaked freon due too malfactoring defect. The warranty was not honored. Out of pocket expenses over $ 600.00.Auxiliary heat not working. MANUFACTURER failed to remove insulation from connecting wires. 250.00 fee not reimbursed.

I had such a good experience with this service call. I called and they quickly sent someone out. Michael was on time, courteous, and professional. He answered all my questions, explained the problem and how the problem was solved, and even how to prevent it from happening in the future. Im so happy I went with this company for my heating and air conditioning system. They are the BEST!

I have used Honest Abe for 3 remodels and a new construction. I will only use Honest Abe, because not only are they reasonably priced, and reliable, but very professional and quick. This is the best HVAC company that Ive used. After the install they contacted my to check up on how the unit was working and has provided timely maintenance checks. Honest Abe was very responsive and on time.From the call to the service center to the Technicians was well equipped for the job and found the trouble with the AC quickly and unfortunately compressor was bad but before determining that they checked the entire system over to make sure. I being in the matenance field for 20+ years already had determined the compressor was bad so they quoted a new system at a very good price. The Technicians to install were very responsive, installed new unit along with upgrading the electrical to the system then checked the system for proper operation once system was installed. This is a company that does things honestly and above board in all they do. I highly recommend them.

He was at my neighbors house doing work, I had a quick conversation and he put an advertisement sticker on my unit.When he came out to inspect my unit on two different occasions, to troubleshoot an issue they missed a glaring issue that a different HVAC company said was very obvious. They cost a lot of time and effort for a simple headache.

I had Honest Abe install our new AC unit after our previous AC unit decided to break. Their prices were reasonable and they were prompt in their response time. Chris was to the point and honest with what was wrong with my AC unit. He discovered the issue with my condenser capacitor and recommended changing the unit as soon as possible since it is outdated type and could be difficult to service in the future. I believe the prices of recharging and replacing the capacitor were fair.

We had to replace our entire hvac system that had reached the end of its life and these people were great! The quality of their initial inspection and estimate was better than any other business we acquired estimates from. In addition to this, they were ready to match other estimates for equivalent equipment and services, which I didn’t reactive from any other business. The guys that came out to remove and replace our attic system and outdoor unit were amazing. It was an all-day job and a lot of heavy lifting (literally, the unit they replaced was a 5-ton - way too big for our 1400 sq ft house!), but they got it done in one day, hauled off all of the old equipment and debris, and left the house exactly how it was when they arrived (with the exception of the house actually being cool when they left lol). All in all amazing company, great customer service, and a perfect install. Thank you all!!

This is a small family owned and operated business and they (Orlando & Marisa) are just good people, and they hire good people. Wonderful to do business with. Fast efficient and fair. A coil was rusted and leaking Freon. They could replace or upgrade entire system. It is never cheap but the price was very reasonable so we went with the entire system replacement which came with a 10 year warranty versus the 90 day for the a coil only replacement. Glad we did. It has been right at a month now, the electric bill came today and we used 600kw less than we did on the same period last year. I would definitely do business with them again and would not hesitate to recommend them.

We had an issue with our unit today in 106 degree Texas weather, my wife is pregnant and I have a 3 year old daughter. We initially called an alternate AC person that we had been using but he seemed very disinterested in coming out to help us again. I called Honest Abe and within 30 minutes Mr Rolando was at our door and had already pinpointed the issue. He was extremely personable and had a genuine and caring attitude for the well being of my family and it was very apparent. He could have said I’m done for the day due to it being the evening and the weekend but he came and made sure we were back up and running within 15 minutes. The feeling of care and empathy for my family is something I do not take lightly, this is coupled with the fact that he is a Marine made me feel like I had made the right decision and was in great hands moving forward. He is my only point of contact for HVAC help in this home and in the next as I intend to remain in the area. Everything was top notch from knowledge, tools, timing, personality, and price. Our fan capacitor went out yesterday(6/16/22). I called this morning(6/17/22) about 830, and someone was out at the house by 951 this morning. It was fixed by 1030am; price is reasonable and affordable. Would recommend to anyone. Having a small business myself, I wanted to stick with a small business, rather than a chain. Plus that they are also Veteran owned, as my husband is also a Marine Corps veteran. Happy to be able to help another small business and also a fellow Marine owned company. I also wanted someone close to us in hopes that would help get it repaired today, as long as it wasn’t something major. Thank you for fixing it so quickly with our early heatwave going on! Orlando and his helper were very thorough and professional, they checked the outside unit (condenser)first ,then the unit that is in the attic, finally Orlando showed us how to set up the digital thermostat correctly, he also recommended to add more attic insulation in order for the AC unit to run more efficiently. Orlando and Marisa are the best! Our HVAC system was on its last legs and we were crossing out fingers that it would last until it could be replaced. Orlando came right out and gave us an estimate AFTER he emptied our overflowing drain pan to prevent further damage to the ceiling below. Unfortunately, the system we wanted was on back order, but it came within 2 weeks. In the meantime, Marisa was patient with us getting our questions answered and redoing the estimate for us. Install was seamless and the workman cleaned up after they finished. I’m very particular about service, especially when we are talking thousands of $$$s, and Orlando and his crew were just as particular about their workmanship. Highly recommend!

From the office receptionist/person I was pleased with her knowledge understanding of my problem. Orlando came to my house and walked me through the entire process of getting a new A/C unit and answered every question I had.DJ and his crew showed up on time and worked hard all day in the heat to get the job done, the guys cleaned up and even helped me move something. Marisa was amazing at working with me on getting it schedule and set up.

Both my upstairs and downstairs HVAC units went out at the same time. The first unit was a whopper $7400 and that was with a discount. It also came with a bottom of the line programmable thermostat. I was hoping for a discount for the next one but no such luck. The other unit though smaller was still $7400 because of no discount. Repairing the old unit was $5400 and out of the question. I just chanced on Orlando who was recommended by my roofer Abby. He gave me a great deal. A new unit with 2 new Nest top of the line thermostats. The extra unit to replace the cheaper one installed on the big AC. The cost $1400 less give or take a few. The job was professional and service contract included servicing both units for a year. What was also impressive was his offer to fix the old unit for $3400. I went with the new one. I cannot recommend this company more.

My husband and I purchased a house about a year ago that had all of the original ductwork and insulation from 1971. We called multiple AC companies and got quotes. In the end, Honest Abe was by far the cheapest, while also offering more work. Part of our house was an add-on. Honest Abe was the ONLY company out of four different AC companies that said they would find a way to adjust the ductwork in the add-on.
