I am so happy with mini split system Homefront installed in my home. I wanted to go with a central air system, but after thoroughly inspecting my house Chris provided me with knowledgeable information on why a mini split would be better for our home. I am very grateful for his expert advice and his willingness to sit with me and answer all my concerns and questions. Roland and his crew installed my system and I can’t thank them enough for their professionalism and work ethic. The installation took one day and they promptly returned to finish hooking up the mini splits to the new electrical panel after it was installed. A great company that I have already recommended to my neighbors and friends.

My A/C was 9 years old installed in2016 by a flip company. On Oct 22 the air blower motor siezed. I started calling my home warranty and 3 other A/C companies. 3 bids ranged from 28k to 15.5k. I contacted the last one Homefront Service. Owner Chris Stokes reviewed my system and history and agreed with me that replacing it was best. He gave me multiple options and I selected Carrier. The crew arrived at 8am 1 day later to install the new A/C system. They were wonderful! The team worked quickly and well together to remove old and install new. I am very happy with the whole process!! The technician spent time with me learning the new smart thermostat. I would give them 10 stars if the rating went above 5!! He and his installers were thorough, friendly, and professional throughout the process. I chose HomeFront, even over the AC company I had been with for over 25 years. Chriss evaluation and assessment of my homes heating and cooling system was holistic, identifying some shortfalls in return air and ducting that were overlooked by my original company. These issues were also validated by two other company inputs, upon my inquiries. Not the lowest price, and not the highest price, but the best complete package among all considered proposals. I am extremely happy with my new Carrier system, the installation, and HomeFront. I highly recommend them to anyone needing AC/Heat service and installation.

I needed to replace my old AC system and home front did a wonderful job helping me find the right system for me. Chris was very friendly and knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions. He was able to get my system installed a couple days early and his team were very polite and friendly. They came right on time and worked very quickly and efficiently and kept everything clean. The house feels much better now with the new unit and I am very pleased with the work that was done. I will definitely be recommending home front to anyone who is in need of AC repairs or installs.

The tech Armando was on-time, polite and super-informative about some dos and donts to keep our system running well here in the Texas heat. HomeFront just replaced my 17 year old AC with a Carrier unit. They were professional, courteous, and Chris was so patient when answering the dozens of questions I had to determine the best unit for our home. Roland and Joe did a fantastic job installing and explaining the features of the new install. Their warranty and maintenance plans can’t be beat and prices are reasonable. They are veteran owned and the many years of experience they have is very evident. I chose this company over two other larger entities because of the price, warranty, maintenance plans and preferred product provided. Our house is cold at 78 degrees. Amazing and Totally recommend!!

My 1st time dealing w/ this company, but I called to get a 2nd opinion after paying for a shady diagnostic from someone else (which turned out to be incorrect). Trevor used better equipment to properly diagnose the issue. Id highly recommend HomeFront. So far, so good, Good to get an HONEST diagnosis from an HVAC co. Roland & Trevor were both polite, professional and knowledgeable. Roland even took my call after hours on a weekend. Their on-site equipment was new / updated technology. They also partner with a financing company that has very straightforward and reasonable terms to help take the sting out of full, up-front payments. Chris was very helpful explaining this option over the phone & he sent me the email link right away. The only minor glitch was with the automated scheduling / appointment confirmation / reminder time. Not sure if this was my error or the actual system, but the guys were good about texting & calling me with updates & arrival times. We most likely will be proceeding with repairs soon, just need to talk it over with the wife 1st. Unit is a Goodman 5-ton Straight Cool w/ electric heat approx. 9 years old & wasnt cooling (lines freezing up) - a proper diagnostic found the issue(s) & I got upfront pricing before we proceed w/ repairs. This small, local company will work hard to compete for your business.

I’m so pleased with HomeFront and their whole team. We needed to add vents and ducts to our current system for a garage conversion but also address airflow issues throughout the rest of the house. Other companies just wanted to sell us on a larger unit and/or a minisplit for the garage. Chris was the only one that took the time to really evaluate our current system and come up with a real solution that wouldn’t break the bank. He recommended replacing our current ducts, which had been poorly installed by someone else, add a second return air, and add ducts and vents for the new room. Chris was confident with the new ducts properly installed and the second return air, the air flow issues would be resolved and we would be able to cool the new space as well. I’m so glad I trusted Chris because it worked and everything has been great. Airflow is now stronger and cooler. Rolando and Blue, the demo and install team, did fantastic work. They were friendly and courtesy. They even installed a catwalk in the attic because there wasn’t one currently. They upgraded the filter system and it has been running so much quieter than the old one. And before all this, when the unavailability of a particular part threatened to derail the schedule, Chris moved heaven and earth to source the part and keep us on schedule. But the best part of all is that from now on, I know exactly who I will be calling for any other HVAC service in the future. No more requesting quotes from multiple companies and filtering through dozens of reviews. HomeFront will be the only call I will need to make. Thank you again, guys!

I had LG mini splits that were failing after just 12 years in service. I knew that I wanted Mitsubishi but also wanted ideas about a better approach. Just as we were getting bids to replace the multi system, it failed and we were left with only one unit in the main living area. Chris with HomeFront not only came out quickly, he recommended a Mitsubishi system that better fits our needs, gave the most reasonable bid, and had two of the three units installed within a week. Today I sit here as a happy customer with a fully conditioned home by an honest and customer service driven company to whom I can trust. I highly recommend.

Home Front was amazing. Our AC went out on a Saturday night of a holiday weekend and they got someone out to get it up and running next day. We were super fortunate they had availability. Without a doubt the best HVAC service in San Antonio, the reps and workers were all super professional and kind. They did the work for a very affordable price too! Got a mini split 12k BTU A/C installed, I got the top of the line brand Mitsubishi, all for a MUCH better price than what Jon Wayne was offering, like I said easily the best HVAC service in San Antonio!

Chris Stokes and his staff at HomeFront Service Company are a real pleasure to deal with and upgraded our homes attic ducting, both plenums, added a top of the line air filter cabinet to each HVAC system, more than doubled our existing insulation in our attic, increasing the depth of insulation for an R Factor of 38 and installed two additional air return ducts to better balance our systems air flow. From initial estimate, scheduling, and doing the work - all was efficient, professional - and with a personal touch! I am without reservation in recommending HomeFront Service Company for HVAC ducting and insulation work!

Our game room needed a mini split in the game room above my garage and they were easy to work with from getting a quote and and also affordable compared to many others we had researched.We had one consultation and by the following week, the job was complete and AC works great. no problems so far. Not only did they come early, but I swear they fixed my heat within 30 minutes like they came and found what was wrong; fixed the fan fixed the breaker, told me how to fix it so that if there’s a problem again, I can do it myself and if that doesn’t work, they realized that the landlord was dragging their feet to call the repair service so they gave me their business card so I can just call them directly. They also got our landlord to sign up for a program which means that they’ll come back in the spring and fall to make sure that the heat and the AC is still up and running honestly one of the best repair companies I’ve ever seen in my life they did that excellently! And they were very friendly with my service dog :) very happy with this service :D

Trevor was amazing and demonstrated integrity! He was quick to diagnose the issue and was able to accommodate our schedule. The only company that diagnosed the problem and did not pressure or push me to buy a new hvac system as my system was repairable. I would recommend this company as the responsiveness was exceptional. Great service! Zach was punctual, professional and gave out a lot of information. Had the ac/heat unit serviced, ducts checked for leaks and temp readings at all vents. Great work and air is much fresher now. Definitely will use them again,

We had a heat pump installed in August 2023 by Homefront.Pros: It was easy to set up, payment plans were clear with no surprises, heat worked all winter, Homefront was fairly responsive with sending people to come fix problems with the new AC.Cons: AC went out within the first week of installation. And then out a few weeks after that. And 4 to 5 times until in November, Carrier (the heatpump manufacture), finally approved a full warranty of the defective part that was messing up constantly.Any day the temp was above 98 degrees, we had to run the hose on our heatpump for about 20 minutes to help cool it down enough to run until this fix was complete.We think it is fixed now, but Homefront has become silent after they agreed to reimburse one of our monthly payments in good faith, since we had paid for 3 months without our brand new headpump running like it should.It is March as I write this, and I have sent multiple emails and have been told by the nice workers on staff they are relaying my messages and phone calls to their manager and will get back to me shortly.In short: I am grateful to have working cooling and heat thanks to Homefront, but it has been a frustrating and sweaty journey to get here, filled with phone tag and unanswered emails.

I have just begun my relationship with Homefront. I joined their annual program about three weeks ago.The initial inspection went smoothly and was professional in every respect.The real test came this week when my system stopped working entirely at 12:30 on Wednesday afternoon. I called their scheduler Emily who promised to get to the technician as soon as possible.At around 2:30 she called to tell me that Zac was on his way to my house.Zac arrived around 3:00, diagnosed the problem - a dead blower motor - and located the part in Dallas.The part was shipped in Thursday and Zac arrived early Friday morning to install the blower.The system took all day to bring the house down from 94° to 77° but everything is fine now.This level of speed and service is extraordinary and I would not expect any organization to be able to work this well every time, but what a great first experience for building confidence and trust.Thank you Homefront!

Amazing job! We had just hit our wall of dealing with the insurance company:3 months is apparently out limit. AC hadn’t worked longer than 3 months during that time and each time they sent out a new company who would “fix” it and it would immediately have the same problem rendering it useless once again. After the last company quoted us over $1k for something not covered by our insurance, we decided we were fed up and would just invest in a new unit that we couldn’t really afford right now.We called around to get some estimates until these guys stopped in and saved the day! They diagnosed the ACTUAL problem in less than 20 minutes and came back the next morning and fixed the problem for free!! I literally cried when my husband told me. Going on 2 weeks now problem officially solved. Now we can relax a little, wait and save up over the summer for a down payment on a unit instead of ending up with crazy high monthly payments =] 10/10 could not recommend more and we will definitely be going to them when we do buy our new unit!!

Took the time to explain our system (even though it was a late evening call). I will not be calling any other company where I always feel like an appointment. They just don’t treat you like another customer, they treat you like the only customer!

The Technician was scheduled very quickly and determined the issue with our AC. A new fan motor was ordered. Once received in, the damaged motor was replaced within a day. AC is now blowing cold air as it should.

The nice gentlemen who came over here to the house was very professional and he was awesome at what he was doing and definitely fixed our issue.

I was less than 24 hours away from buying two brand new units- one more phone call saved me money, time and a whole lot of heartburn. Previous techs chose to exploit my ignorance- Rowland gave it to me straight. I got a new a/c with same warranty as others and me second AC repaired for less than half of one quote for a single unit.
