I have Choice Warranty, my AC went out this weekend and Subcool Air could not come and work on my home til Wednesday in these Temperatures in TX. We couldnt breath. My pregnant daughter was turning red as a tomatoe, we had to call someone else because Subcool Air could not come until 3 days? The 2nd company gauged us big time (Aire Smith). Choice Warranty only reimbursed us for the Part for $110.00 they charged us $447.00.

Work has been completed above the recommendation. Was told it would 100 percent fix issue . Problem still exists . Now that 100% turns into it’s really a guessing game and we gave you a really good price . Going with another contractor who can tell me what the problem actually is before I invest money into something that doesn’t help . So after about two months the new ac coil that was installed was leaking . I had a different company come out and find the leaks . When they told me it was the coil I got back in touch with these guys because it was new and under warranty. I went ahead and had Elmer’s on time recharge the system so we could atleast keep the house cool until we could get some resolution. The cost was over 200.00Subcool came out to the property and found leaks in the coil and we scheduled a replacement. Everything was going fine until the tech tells my wife they found a leak else where outside . Now here is the problem with that. This leak mysteriously appeared only after they had to replace the coil they installed and I was told that it was the main culprit for the loss of Freon in the unit . Was it leaking ? It’s possible I guess but niether sub cool or elmers found it to be leaking until the new coil got installed .Second problem with this is the fact the tech said it was the main reason for the leak , but went ahead and recharged the system without giving an option for a fix beforehand . Freon is costly . So why charge a system they claim to have had a leak possibly costing several hundred dollars of loss again . My system had no leaks until it was introduced by the replacement part . When the coil was installed the first time no Freon was added because there was no leak . Since the new coil was installed 5 lbs of Freon has been used to get the system back to what it was before any work was done .So once I got to the property and the tech told me of this leak he said ahh it’s fine I just put some lock tite on it and tightened it a little more . I asked him if he would guarantee that. He said we see it all the time . Not comfortable with that I asked if he would come back if a few weeks and check the pressure to make sure it’s holding . He said he would . He wanted to give me a bill for 240.00 for the 3lbs of Freon and I declined simply for the reason that the new coil introduced the leak in my system . The old coil wasn’t leaking . The new coil was . That’s more of an issue between subcool and whoever they bought the coil from . But they tried to stick me with the bill . I told them I would be fine paying it after we make sure the system was no longer leaking .So almost 4 weeks now I get no response from the tech . I call Cody , he seems like he tries to be helpful but he’s really not . I asked him why the tech said they would come out and recheck if they were not going to. He claimed we didn’t make any money on the job.They quoted me a price to replace the coil which I paid in cash. He claimed that I was trying to get it for free . Look it’s not my problem they didn’t make money because they had to do the work twice . But Cody try’s to make it sound like your trying to get him for something. Do not use these guys .i have spent the money for labor and the coil for subcool and a recharge to Elmers to keep the system hobbling along till the coil was fixed and was told by Cody I was just trying to get it for free . Only reason I used these guys is because choice home warranty sent them out .

Subcool was very professional and did the work as specified.He even made suggestions that saved me money. They are winners.

These people have the absolute best professionals working for them. you will have trouble finding a better company to do this work.
