Billy Black provides a great service, Brittany is an absolute professional on the phone. The automated communications system they have in place is really appreciated as well. The technicians are respectful and knowledgeable, my unit was installed by them through our builder 9 years ago, maintained by them and Just had my first service call, Garrett came out, took the time he needed to source the issue and provided good feedback, I really like the full diagnostic report at completion, including photos. You are definitely in good hands with this company.

Happy as can be. Britt finished a job early and was able work us in. I am so thankful. He was kind and very professional. Explained what happened and even checked to see if it was still under warranty. Our house is very cozy now. Will definitely use them again. The cost was very reasonable.

After spending the entire day with no heat Brit came out and quickly had us up, running and feeling warm again. He walked me through everything he was doing in an easy to understand way. I will definitely call Billy Black for all of my heating and cooling issues in the future.

I had trouble with my HVAC and made warranty claim and showed up within an hour, Taylor took his time to figure out what was wrong with it and was able to fix it right away. Adam was on time, spent 1.5 hrs, checked every aspect of old furnace, showed me pictures, gave me inspection report of furnace verbally and by email, was quiet but willing to chat politely about HVAC. Let me know state of old system and minor repairs that were made.Im not someone that jumps to spend money on hvac or anything. But hvac in Midland is an extreme environment. Better to go with quality work. Every interaction we have had with this company so far has been quality.

Richard is a Profesional explaining not only what needs to be completed and why I understood exactly what my options were. Richard was timely and the estimate includes a nice evaluation of air quality inside your home. I strongly recommend this local business for your plumbing needs.EDIT:The jobs have been completed and the professionalism and excellent work continues on from the first meeting. Chad and crew did an amazing job working the details out to get a vey old coil clean and I am veryimpressed how the customer needs lead the decision making. The team sent to clean vents were also superb. I don’t write many reviews but Billy Black has been nothing but fantastic. They’ve checked our system for couple years and been very helpful. Our unit messed up yesterday and they replaced it this morning! We’re very grateful for their fair prices and promptness.

Great service. Called them after another hvac company told me I’d need my coil replaced to replace the drain pan. Got a second opinion from Billy Black and they just ordered a new pan. Super honest and reliable. Will use again.

Billy Black HVAC just finished servicing my home ac system. First of all, let me say they called before they came over and were prompt to get here. The tech, Garret, was courteous, efficient and told me what he was doing to improve our system. He cleaned up after himself and conducted himself at a professional level throughout the duration of the service call. He gave me some helpful suggestions to get the most out of our system and when he left, I could feel the difference. The price charged was very good for the amount of work done and I’m very satisfied with Bill Black HVAC and would both use and recommend them to anyone that needs their services.

My heater wouldn’t come on and it is a new unit Taylor came out quickly on a Saturday and had it running in a matter of minutes. Fast friendly service!! I would recommend Billy Black HVAC 💯

Taylor Jarrett The air conditioner repair is really professional. The air conditioner broke down a few days ago. There was only cold air but no hot air. After Taylor Jerretts inspection, it turned out that a place that produces warm air was burned and needed to be replaced. It was replaced today and fixed. Finally, there is warm air. Thanks again to Taylor Jarrett, the staff of Billy Black Hvac🙏

Had an issue with my heater, the technician was at my house within an hour of calling. I am always blown away at the quality of employees that Billy Black has working for them. They are always the most respectful and knowledgeable people in their field.

Very professional and friendly. I called when I arrived home from work and noticed my A/C was not working. They were able to show up within a few hours and get it back up and running. Britt Jones was the technician. He knew what he was doing and explained everything in detail. Highly recommend.

Richard Aguilar came to our hose to provide us an estimate for a new HVAC system. He went the extra mile in evaluating our old system. He considered ways our old system and/or a new system could work more efficiently for us so that every room could be cooled and heated appropriately. He served us more as a teacher than as a salesman by patiently explaining the features of a new system, SEER ratings, potential savings for our utilities expenses. Though there were several options to choose from, he made sure he gave us the highlights of the most economical replacement rather than trying to upsell us on a unit that we really didnt need. He was joyful, humble, kind and knowledgeable. He knew we were getting a few bids before making a decision and spoke respectfully of other HVAC companies in Midland. He is an excellent representative for Billy Black HVAC.

Britt originally came out to for a yearly maintenance. Our electrical bill was higher than normal, & our AC stayed running barely keeping the temperature we’d set it at even at night. We figured something was going on with the machine. Over the years we have had a few companies come out, Britt was the first tech that knew what he was talking about. He gave us estimates for what would make our system more comfortable. Scheduling seemed to be an issue, however I may have been impatient due to our house not cooling great, & not wanting to pay another high electrical bill. They got us scheduled, Gabriel & his helper took care of the ductwork in the attic. Throughly explained what he was going to do, & got the job done. Jessie & his helper changed out the condenser, they did a good job on it as well. Overall Billy black HVAC did a great job, & I will continue to use their services.After the weekend of the new AC, we noticed some of the house colder than other parts of the house. Logan & his helper came out & adjusted the airflow to even the house out. He explained everything really well. They completed the work free of charge as part of warranty.

I’ve had Billy Black HVAC come to my house 2 times over the past 5 years when it was completed being built. Black HVAC installed the HVAC ON the new construction. The first time the problem turned out to be a builder oversight and the technician fixed the problem nevertheless. This time it was a part wearing out from normal wear and tear. I have been surprised at how efficient, knowledgeable professional, and courteous both technicians have been (Jeremiah and Garrett )were. Completely recommend Billy Black HVAC without reservation.

I was hit by a billy black truck on bankhead at a RED light ive never been in a car accident before i asked the man what was needed because i have never been hit before he said “ill just buy a bumper and replace it” the following day my engine light turned on and on my way home on lunch i broke down on bankhead its just so sad seeing the type of employees they have taking advantage of people.

We are very pleased with the work they’re doing on our A/C and Heating units. Very nice to work with and always do a good job.

In September of 2021, I bought an entire new HVAC system from Billy Black HVAC for a rent house i own. In June of this year, my less than 2 year old system was freezing up. I called and a technician was sent out. I was told I had a refrigerant leak and it was $1000 for the repair. Less than a month later, my system is freezing again. They sent a technician out who says its because the air filter is dirty and charges me a $130 service charge. I have the report from June 7th showing the filter was in good condition. I find it very hard to believe the filter became so dirty in less than a month that it caused the system to freeze. Did technican not really check it a month ago? Did they sell me a faulty system less than 2 years ago? Either way, Im not happy.I own a different rent house. Within the last year the tenants complained that the middle bedroom was not cooling. I called BBHVAC. Technician advised a new thermostat that was to be kept in the middle bedroom to resolve problem. Last week tenant sent a screenshot of the thermostat app saying unit was attempting to cool but temperature was not going down. I called BBHVAC to look at it. They charged me $295 to tell me the system was functioning fine.They suggested having unit cleaned and sent me an invoice for $960. They also suggested I add an attic vent to address the cooling issue. They gave me an estimate of $1326.At this point, I became leary of their recommendations. I called a contractor I know and went to the house. It was as simple as holding your hand up to the vent to realize there was an airflow issue in the room. No attic vent or new thermostat was ever going to solve the problem. I called a different HVAC company. They cleaned the unit for $550 and installed a new larger vent for $300 and fixed the problem. Billy Black would have continued over charging me and offering non-solutions. Im glad I called for a second opinion.

Ive used Billy Black a few times this year and they have come through. They always call ahead of time and have even arrived or moved my appointment up ahead of schedule. Would 100% recommend. They were voted the best for a reason. We had a repair our AC motor. They ordered the part, gave me an accurate quote which I paid ahead of time, and I was not nickel and dimed afterward. What I was quoted is all that I paid. I will not name names, but there are certain other places Ive used in the past and the charges were always different. Shoutout to Josh Madrid for the highest standards of professional work over an 8 day period (they had to order a part, and the part arrived faster than they had said it would, but I was out of town so it was my fault we took longer).

Josh Madrid, the technician, couldn’t have been more courteous and professional. The rating is based on the excessive cost of using Billy Black HVAC. I was told upfront of the service call fee, but was shocked that an additional diagnostic fee was charged. Total bill for replacing two motors that were under warranty was $650.00. It also took from Monday through Saturday to get this accomplished. Not what I would call a good experience. I won’t use this company again.

This is our second time using Billy Black. Had a clogged drain pipe. Garrett came ahead of our scheduled time (called and checked to see if he could come earlier). Inspected the unit and found blockage of the drain pipe was the culprit of excessive water in our dripping pan and removed the clog. It turned out that we have a “valley” along our drian line. He vacuumed out the excess water in the dripping pan and fixed the “valley” (where the gunky debris was cumulated ). Also added an opening (we didn’t have one before) to the line so we can maintain the line by adding vinegar or bleach to prevent future blockage. Garrett was professional, knowledgeable, punctual and honest. I highly recommend Garrett and Billy Black for any AC needs.

My AC broke in the middle of the night and the high today is going to be 104°, so I needed help ASAP. Called Billy Black and they gave me an appointment time of 1:30, but the technicians were able to get to me an hour early.They were kind, knowledgeable, and efficient, going above and beyond to make sure that everything was working properly. I will be recommending them to anyone in the area who has HVAC needs. 10/10

This is the worst company I have ever worked with. They first installed our ac unit backwards so it was blowing air out of the intake. Then waited a week to even get back to us to fix their mess up; meanwhile it’s in the 100s. Before our job was complete, they billed me. When I would not pay them until my AC/heater worked; Billy Black had their accounting lady call to argue with me, the customer! All while the owner was yelling from down the hall, which I could hear. I have never been spoken to like I was or done business with such a horribly unprofessional group of individuals. I would steer very clear of this company and work with them at your own risk!

UPDATE: we were contacted by Brianna. Our call was mixed up with another customer who had called to cancel. They apologized and went above and beyond to make things right. Thank you. The service technician was top notch, even asking for a broom so he could sweep up the dirt he tracked in. My rating bumped up to 4 stars….didn’t get that last star because there is room for improvement on the scheduling side maybe to avoid another mix up.During one of Midlands hottest weekends, our AC stopped working. My husband called Thursday to set up service for Friday. I called Friday morning to verify the time. The dispatcher said she would add my number so I could also know when they were coming. I took time off work to be home. 8:00 pm Friday they are a no call, no show. I called and was told “the wife called and cancelled the service call”; they could not do anything that night. Not a good first impression, not likely to get the opportunity to make a second.

Our technician, Richard, was very polite and thorough while doing his inspection to put together an estimate for a new system. We enjoyed visiting with him.

Called due to my HVAC failing. They originally installed it and offered to schedule quick service on a holiday weekend. Let them know I knew the part I needed and that I had the knowledge to install it myself. They let me know of a local supplier that would open their store outside of normal hours for an after hours fee. I want to thank both Billy Black HVAC for confirming my diagnosis, their offer of prompt service and the supplier they suggested, Robert Madden Ind.

I just had to have an HVAC system replaced in one of my rental houses & it was my first time using Billy Black HVAC. Jake came out initially & looked over the current HVAC system then sent a detailed & thorough estimate for replacing the system. He also answered my calls when I had specific questions & was able to set up the installation within just a few days.Isaac was the main Technician who came & installed the new unit & removed the old one. The entire experience was quick, professional & very reasonable considering how costly replacing an entire HVAC unit can be. He not only answered all myQuestions but also went over the warrantee & guarantee with me, as well as assured me that the company sends in all necessary paperwork that is needed to ensure the warrantee is filed correctly with the manufacturer.This may have been my first time using Billy Black HVAC services but it will definitely not be my last. I highly recommend this company for all your HVAC needs.

Awesome company! After 7 days of not having AC, with 4 attempts by my landlords HVAC people to fix it, I hired Billy Black HVAC to do it myself. 15 minutes of troubleshooting and replacing a bad capacitor, and my apartment is no longer the ambient temperature of West Texas in June.

Based on recommendations found online, I gave Billy Black HVAC a call at noon on 5-3-23. Explained to the nice lady on the phone that our A/C had gone out the previous night. She said a tech would be at our house in about 1 hour! Sure enough, right on time, Adam showed up. In less than 45 minutes he had diagnosed the problem (2 capacitors and a contactor), installed the new parts, and we were back in business. In the future, I will call Billy Black HVAC for any A/C repair or system upgrade. HIGHLY recommended!

Dispatch needs to know when to tell customer this is not an AC issue, call your plumber. Call dispatch to report AC drain line clogged. Dispatch sent out technician who basically said we can’t service your AC drain line. Lesson learned… call plumber for AC.

Britt was here within the half hour and solved the problem in 102 degree temp. Also checked system in attic to make sure all was functioning. Great job.

Very rarely do you find such good customer service in Midland! Billy and his team installed a new HVAC system at our house and did a fantastic job. Had one hiccup when we flipped the heater on this winter. Billy came out to diagnose and resolve the issue without hesitation (The issue stemmed from the new roof we had installed). Great guy, great crew members and would recommend him to anyone.

I have to say after spending a few nights in a 100+ degree house Im truly grateful for their professional work.I gave Billy Black a call on a Thursday to get an estimate to replace my system, they scheduled to have a sales rep. come by my house and take a look just a few hours later that same day. The sales rep. was very knowledgeable and professional, he went through my entire system (even climbed in my attic in the middle of the day) to confirm that my system had actually ran its course and need to be replaced. I received an estimate later on that day and decided to move forward with them around lunch time on Friday. The technicians were scheduled to do the installation Monday morning, and as expected from my experience with them so far, they were right on time. They took care of everything while I was at work, and to my surprise when I returned home they informed me that they had to replace the copper tubing running from the condenser to the coil inside the house (this portion of work wasnt on the estimate) and I wasnt charged for this. The technicians did great work and my house is currently cooling like never before.I called multiple different HVAC companies in the Midland/Odessa area to get quotes. They came out to our house 3 times , first time they said it was the condenser fan motor $597 so we paid that, we call a few days later because the ac still isn’t working $375 for R410 so we paid that, we call a few days later because the ac still wasn’t working they say it’s going to be $3,000 for a new coil or we could buy a new system for $8,000. Why they had us invest $972 in the old system before telling us we need a new one I’m not sure , I don’t know if they just didn’t know what they were doing or if they just wanted to milk the job for all it was worth , either way I was extremely disappointed with the results of the services I got from this company. Save your money and call a professional who will actually diagnose the problem the first time around instead of having you spend hundreds of dollars doing guess work.

Billy Black HVAC recently completed a dual AC replacement for my home. The quality of work and professionalism of this team was second to none. Due to the scope of the job, they were in our entire house & attic and acted as complete professionals for the entirety of the job. Where do I start, Billy Black was my second call. In the past we used what I thought was another reputable company. The company came out to look at our HVAC system and decided at nine years old they wanted to sell us a new system. They assumed we had a leak and it made more sense to replace the whole thing. That company quoted me $13,200 to replace the entire system.Fast forward to my experience with Billy Black. The first time I called I spoke to Billy, just a down-to-earth guy. Billy sent his technician Jake to give me a second opinion. Both Billy and Jake are true professionals. It’s clear these guys operate on honesty and integrity. Jake used an electronic device to sniff our entire system. He could not find a leak. We did end up replacing condenser fan motor and topping off the system.I went from $13,200 with the other company to a few hundred with Billy Black. From now on, Billy will be my first phone call.

Nothing but great things to say about Billy and his team! Called them out for a small issue and they explained everything very clearly. The tech went above and beyond the call of duty getting me right. I decided to have them install a mini split weeks after because I felt they truly cared about doing the right thing for the customer and doing the job right.

After a not so great experience with a different hvac company in Midland Billy Black came in and fixed all of our AC issues. Both Billy and his two employees were professional and timely. They corrected all of the duct work that was incorrectly installed; and at an affordable price. Their work also decreased our electric bill...We will definitely be using them for our yearly spring check ups.

My AC went out while I was on vacation and I got back home to a AC blowing hot air. I called one of the other guys to come service it. They couldnt fix it but still charged me an hours work (im sure this is normal). I started calling around to the high rated companies to get pricing. Billy himself wanted to come out to do an estimate. When he got here, he was shocked that many things had even passed inspection when I bought 3 yrs ago and he was also shocked my outside unit even still worked since it was like 40 yrs old. He was the most reasonably priced to install my new unit, outside condenser and inside coil and heater and all that stuff. As well as upgrading my thermostat and wiring/gas line. His guys came in and then cleaned up after themselves and were completely respectful and professional. He also offers his own extended warranty (which I didnt take since I plan to move very soon) that other companies dont. I would hope if I ever had to go through this again (hopefully not while Im in town), that I could count on Billy again.BTW, research the brands everyone offers. Billy is a Carrier Dealer while others offer American Standard etc. read reviews on the brands.

Its laughable to even call this establishment an honest business. Extremely disappointing.Absolutely terrible management. My estimate was scheduled for 9am. I should have known better when they didnt even show up until 1pm due to a busy schedule. After checking out my property, they simply stated they CANT do the job because it takes too much time and resources. I had already mentioned over the phone what the issue was, so I don’t see why they even came out.So essentially, they are refusing to fix my air duct because it isnt worth their time. This behavior is inappropriate and unprofessional. Its very amateur that they cant even manage their schedule properly.Im thankful they showed their lack of professionalism and experience upfront and saved me the headache of hiring them.

Excellent customer service over the phone. I didn’t get to use them, but they were very helpful. I called needing a part. The lady over the phone called the warehouse to see if they had it, in which they did not. The part needed was a manufacture issue. I respect that they didn’t waste my time and money for a service fee and waste their time. I’ll definitely call them again when needed.
