This was the best experience i’ve had at a shop EVER! They fixed not only my alignment, but my control arms on my car. drives like brand new!! great prices, and family friendly environment!

I seriously highly recommend Big Tex Auto!! I came in to have a bulb changed but I also desperately needed 2 new tires/alignment so Sam and his fellow worker were able to get it all done super quick and for a great price. 10/10 experience.

Owner is a nice guy , staff is friendly as well they get parts & fix what’s been damaged reasonably prices, and he’s honest about if it’s a right now fix job or you can wait some , I like that cause sometimes you might not have it at that moment or your last. After several years of cool air, not cold, in my 2013 Cadillac ATS, I looked for a place to look at the problem. After reading positive reviews of ac work on vehicles on the Big Tex website, I took my vehicle there. I met Sam, the owner of Big Tex Auto Repair, who advised that he would look at my vehicle. Sam quoted me a price, so I gave the go ahead to fix it. A great job done by his mechanics! So nice driving with cold air during these hot Texas days. Big Tex has my business from now on. I got a flat tire on 80, thinking I was lucky to be able exit close enough to an auto repair shop - I walked up to a worker outside the gate, first thing he did was look me up and down as he yawned then proceed to ask me if he can have a hug……uhm no.Made me extremely uncomfortable as a woman. I would not recommend this place, even though I did not have service, their professionalism and customer service needs serious work.Ended up calling my husband to change my tire instead.

Very professional, I’m a lifelong mechanic and Sam was easy to communicate with . They replaced the engine in my niece’s Range Rover as promised and within the original estimate. No leaks , no drips , no errors .

Im pretty skeptical when it comes to shops. Ive had issues in the past. Took my highlander (power steering leaking). Told them, which hose needed replaced several times. I was worried theyd change the wrong hose and id be back at square one. Well. No issues at all. Got done in the same day. Didnt take em long. Ive been driving for two days now no issues or leaks. The price was more than fair. This will be my go to auto repair for the foreseeable future.TLDR: Did the job well, no issues. More than fair price.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS SHOP! I took my BMW 745 to this shop on 4/27/24 to get looked at because it was loading coolant and over heating. That morí g I popped my hood like normal and put water in my vehicle before leaving. My car and what I did that morning is clearly visible in my ring camera video that I shared. I noticed this morning 5/4/24 that there were scratch marks as if something was dragged across my hood. The shop then tells me that’s how I brought the car to them. I provided video of my car the morning it left to their shop. I will never recommend anyone to this shop they clearly have no morals and values to their shop name. Will never do business with them again. Now I’m stuck trying to get my hood open because they broke my hood latch!!!

They were very respectful and fast on servicing me I came to get a new tire when in need of any car work come to them

I brought my car to Big Tex auto repair with only a wheel problem . They fix that problem then proceed to tell me that my axle was broken which is connected to my transmission by the way, and I didnt have any problem with my transmission before hand .so I went ahead and let them fix it. After only 5 hours of leaving the shop my transmission slips and stops in the middle of the road and the transmission light comes on. I bring it back the next day and he compared my transmission to a tire going flat. So as im talking about it with my father present he proceed to kick my father and called the police to tell him that we wouldnt leave and lied to the police that we touched him. Long story short he didnt repair it or accommodate me for it and now Im stuck with a transmission problem that I never had before hand. They have bad customer service and wont own up to their mistakes .

This business is anything but trustworthy. Its baffling how they managed to receive any five-star reviews. After investigating, its clear the owner likely had friends and family write those reviews. This business doesnt provide receipts upon completion of work, instead brushing it off with, No problem, brother. If you have any issues, Ill fix it. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place. Buyer beware!!!!

DO NOT use this shop!!! I took my brothers truck up there to get the a/c charged they told me the a/c compressor was bad so they asked if I wanted them to replace it. I told them no that it was under warranty through Napa and I would replace it. So they said that they could pull the Freon out for me and charge me a service fee, but when I came back they would put Freon back in the system at no cost. Had my brother take it there today and he said he didn’t remember the truck. Then he went and talked to his mechanic and his mechanic said he remembered the truck and that we pulled the Freon from it. Now he charged my brother the 140 service fee but not for the Freon. Don’t use these people a man is only as good as his word and his word means nothing!!! When you say you will charge it for free that means no cost but you wanna charge a service fee now cuz you are crooked!! Just moved here not to long ago due to military orders. I’m the active duty Air Force recruiter in Mesquite TX

VERY VERY and I mean VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. I HAD TO CALL THE COPS ON THE OWNER BECAUSE HE STARTED BEING VERY AGGRESSIVE WHILE THE OTHER GUY WAS WORKING ON MY CAR. THIS PLACE SHOULD GO OUT OF BUSINESS

The only reason it’s getting a 2 it’s because the guy in charge was nice. I brought my car here 3 times and spent over $900. All three time I brought it in for a check engine light and the rpm acting weird. All three times I was told It was fixed but I only drove the car for like 5 minutes before I found out none of the things I requested were done. The check engine light came back on and the rpm was still acting weird. In the end they didn’t fix any of the issues and I decided to take my car elsewhere.

These brothers gave me great customer service and I will really advise any one having issues with there vehicle to take it to Big Tex auto repair!! They are reliable, honest and have fast service. 👍🏾👍🏾 To H and Sam

The owner Mohammed brother is Rude and unprofessional. They did work on two of my cars only later finding out they didnt do the repairs. Had to take my cars to other shops only to be told that the part on my car that Big Tex Auto Repair charged me parts and labor for were original parts. They definitely dont like to deal with woman.

Highly, highly recommend this shop! My husband and I work for Stevens Transport and came back 4 months later and our car wouldn’t start. We were trying to head back to Houston before the freeze started. They recommended a tow man that wasn’t taxing and they started on the car same day. They got the car to start no problem on same day, but as they were setting the car down, oil started leaking. We decided to leave it because we didn’t want it affecting the motor. Because of the freeze we didn’t get it back for two days but when they came in, 5 hours later we got the car back. Thank y’all so much

Do not go here …Mohammed was nice when we met him however his brother is very rude and unprofessional . We took our car to them to replace a water pump .. once we picked it up it was still rattling so we immediately turned around and Mohammed discovered they left off a part and fixed it right then or at least we thought they fixed it ..less than a couple months after taking it to them we have the same issue and brother refused to fix it after Mohammed assuring us it was under warranty. The brother said he wouldnt fix the car and refused to give me the key to my car. He argued with me saying he wouldnt fix my car or do business with me but when asking for my key he refused ..I had to call 911 before they would hand me my key. we Also took Mercedes to them a week after Mohammed worked on first car …us thinking it was fixed after they claim they worked on them to change 6 spark plugs and coals. Car still ran rough after picking up car. Had to take it is another mechanic who showed us only 3 spark plugs where changed and coals were original coals that came with car.

Sam was a wonderful and incredibly helpful individual. On a family road trip we had an emergency and he got us in immediately and started working on our car. Would recommend Sam and this establishment to anyone experiencing car issues!!NEW EDIT: I ended up accidentally leaving my wallet in the shop with all my ID’s, credit cards, and cash. Sam sent a photo of it the very next day upon opening to let me know he had it and we were able to pick it up (without anything out of place of course!) Thank you so very much Sam you saved the day!! Have to preface I took a 2009 Prius in here - these vehicles have extremely confusing and have intricate components - the AC was not working, they went ahead and found the leak - fixed the evaporator core and the communication was on point thru the entire process. Letting me know any and all updates. They did not try to upsell or charge for unnecessary labor or details.Good and honest working people.

Service was really good. Called early in the morning and was able to beat the rush, he looked at my car and changed the radiator all in one day. He heard me out and was very respectful. Pricing also seemed reasonable. Only suggestion is having water/coffee for people waiting long periods. That’s bonus stuff though. 100% recommend and will come again.

These guys are true professionals. It’s hard to find a good and honest mechanic in the local area. They guys are fair and will look out for you. A different place told me I needed to replace the alternator but they looked at it and fixed the real issue. They saved me at least $400-$500 by being honest.

They’re great! When they know what’s wrong they call and send you the estimate so you know what you’re going to pay. They also show you the piece they replaced and tell you what was wrong with it. They’re quick and super nice. It’s really hard to find a reliable mechanic nowadays and these guys are honest and hard working! It sucks to say, but being a woman mechanics tend to price gouge due to lack of knowledge, but these guys listen to your concerns and don’t overcharge.

I was driving and all of a sudden my exhaust started making a loud noise. I thought I was in trouble because we all know what mechanics do to out of town people. I limped my car to the first garage I saw, Big Tex. I was at their mercy. They repaired my exhaust and did a quick inspection on my car and told me that I should probably get new pads done in the front otherwise on my trip back to Canada I will probably encounter another problem. I had both problems repaired fast and at a reasonable price comparable to what I would’ve paid in Canada. They have a clean waiting room and a very clean bathroom. I was impressed. Thanks guys for not taking advantage of a traveler, and I highly recommend it them for the quality of work and for their honesty..

Great, honest shop! I had a screw in my tire from a construction site, and I was worried about it keeping air for my 2 hr drive home. I drove over and showed them the picture of the very obvious screw, but the head had worn/broke off on the drive over. I left it with them and went to grab a cold drink next door. I came back to find them remounting the tire, with no hole to be repaired! Evidently the screw was just a shard that caught in treads but didn’t penetrate. He very easily could have kept me there for another 20 mins putting on a random patch and charged me full price. Instead, he wouldn’t even charge me for pulling off the tire and remounting it, then checking the air in all 4. I asked him to run $10 on my debit card so I could tip him and his guy as thanks, which he finally did after I insisted. I wish I lived closer so I could give this guy all of my tire business.

This place is seriously one of the most professional and humbling Auto repair centers Ive been to. The customer service is incredible, polite, and everything you would want while having your car serviced. All of my questions were answered and the front desk even went out of his way to address other concerns that I was having. Im glad to have found a place i can trust with my vehicles when I need a repair.

I previously gave a 5 star review because I went to get an alignment. I went back when the check engine light came on. Checked it out, told me itd be nearly 4K to rebuild my transmission. Also that my car was stuck at first gear, wouldnt go up or down.I went and got a second opinion elsewhere, and the mechanic told me that wasnt true. I just needed new sparkplugs and coils. And a gasket. Its been months since I got my car fixed with another mechanic, and Ive had 0 issues. My car wasnt stuck on any gear either. Only 2 gears.The owner knew this was my first car and that I dont know much about cars. That said, they were definitely trying to take advantage of me. Id only recommend this place for regular, minor maintenance. Not any big work.Other than that, the place is nice. They treat you respectfully and have a waiting area.

Our air conditioning broke in 97 degree Texas weather. Panicked, grumpy, and borderline heat stroked out our family called many auto services around us and they all sucked. Sam was our saving grace. He let us know to come and that he would be ready to fix our car immediately. They had some real nice couches and they spoke to us all, telling us about their lives, and overall made our experience more than bearable in unbearable heat.

The atmosphere is very welcome and pleasant.I like the fact the staff explained everything before touching my car and professional and consistent with feed back on my repairs. Trustworthy kept their word, left my car overnight my car was ready the following day. I cant thank the owner enough, my air compressor broke in Texas heat. I will let everyone know about Big Tex theres alot of different services here.

I brought my vehicle to them and left it so they could work on it. During that time they left the window down and it rained. My whole seat got wet but thats not what upset me. When I picked it up they did not tell me any of that just said they couldnt find the problem, despite my vehicle throwing 4 codes. So when I got in the vehicle I saw burn marks on my seat. It looked like they had attempted to dry it with a heat gun and burned my seat!! I have burn marks and a hole in my previously original flawless fabric from 1996.

Took my 2014 mustang to another shop for a noise coming from the front end, they couldnt figure out the problem so I brought it to Big Tex and they had it fixed the same day. Ive been back several times since then and have not been disappointed. Very honest and upfront.

First off.. Im Pregnant! These guys tried to charge me for a 4 tire alignment after just adjusting 2. Then one wrestled with me for my keys and broke my key fob(again Im pregnant!!!) after arguing about the fact that he only adjusted 2 and threatened to un-adjust it. TERRIBLE customer service. If I could I would rate this place a ZERO.WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! Take your car to a respectable establishment.

H made sure I was taken care of. He got my new tires w/ alignment and balancing on point. He made sure everything was squared away before I left the lot. Didn’t even charge me for a little extra work that was needed regarding how bad my alignment was off. Definitely recommend and I will be back in the future.

I needed air in my tires because they were low. Big Tex auto repair shop was the first shop i saw.I pulled into the shop, and they asked if it could help me. I let the mechanic know I needed air in my tires with no hesitation he started to air up my tires. They didnt even want except a tip I offered them. Ill use this shop in the future.

Previously gave 5 star for replacing my flat tire but sadly after I left the shop, my car was making a weird noise. I had my husband meet me so he could drive my car home and figure out the issue. I was supposed to go to Oklahoma that night. Sadly I couldn’t because the issue with my car. Thankfully, the next morning my husband noticed I was given THE WRONG SIZE TIRE! I missed out on a concert I spent $200 for a ticket. And I still have the old tire. I haven’t been back in down to try and get a refund. Very sad how things turned out.

After divorcing, my mechanic of an ex-husband, after nearly 10 years, who refused to help me with my car, I literally knew nothing about cars or tires except to get quotes from various places. Which I did, name brand stores to smaller shops all over DFW (seriously, I called/went to at least 6 other places). Big Tex was the ONLY place I received truly honest advice, then I was able to watch what he did, and he explained everything to me while doing so. After all that, he then gave me an awesome discount on everything I had done to my car.Its SO reassuring as a woman and single mom to find a place I can rely on and can now go to for any future car issues!! **Would HIGHLY recommend!!!!!💯🙌

Absolutely horrible experience, they changed out my ac compressor and told me everything was working good yet my ac won’t blow any colder than 70 degrees. Even on a 100 degree day it should be blowing out at 50 degree air. I would 100% not recommend this auto shop to anybody. I would actually warn people to not use this auto shop. To make matters worse when I took the car back up there the next day. The manager Wanted to try and get loud with me and telling me I’m trying to pull a fast one on them. Worst auto shop experience I’ve ever had.

I went to Big Tex auto on my lunch break to inquire about service. I told them I only had 30 minutes and they looked at my vehicle and told me what was wrong it. They ordered the part and told me I could come back the next morning. I got a call the same day saying that the part was in and I could bring my vehicle back the same day and about an hour later it was fixed. Great customer service and the mechanic was nice and friendly.

Pretty good, I went to have a horn fixed, guy ordered the part, put it in.. I was there for maybe 2 hours total.(local shops didn’t have the horn, he got one delivered from Dallas) He handed me the remote and let me watch tv while I was waiting. None of the “oh well your car also needs” BS. All in all it was a good experience.

BEWARE! Not even worth a star the owner and his son were very rude and tried to over charge for work they didn’t even do…. Went for an alignment and found out by another mechanic it wasn’t even possible to do one on the car in the condition I received it back in due to the ball barring and they didn’t even make me aware of the issue my tire was about to come off!!!! Thank God I found out but be careful and stay safe.

Met a guy name tony who lied about his name telling me his name was the letter H he was very sketchy because he automatically walked up to me and seemed to figure I was in need of a Catalyst converter also didn’t know where to put the Diagnostics machine under so I asked him how long has he been working there he told me four years and said that he do not like Nissan trucks and he will not work on them.that everyone knows. I would not recommend anyone to get anything from this business while he’s there. Bad look and very discriminatory.

They tried to get over on my aunt when she went in for an alignment. She is pregnant and the fought with her over keys because she refused to pay for a 4 tire alignment when they had only aligned 2. Because she refused to be overcharged they told another employee of the establishment to add $15!!! They discriminated against her and tried to get over on her because she was a woman and also pregnant!! Take your service elsewhere!! Customer service is terrible and if I could I would rate this establishment a ZEROOOOO!!!!

Have been taking my car here a couple of times. The owner is a great guy and honest. Which can be hard to find theses days. Great prices and great service. He is now my only Machanic I go to and you should check this place out. You will not be sorry. Its a small place but don’t let that stop you. Car repair can be so very expensive. When you get rear ended and your trying to keep calm ,checking yourself for injuries and exchanging insurance and driver info the last thing I needed was a horror story to add from my wrecker experience.This company 👌 🙌 were professional in how they handled my experience during this traumatic experience.They explained my options, put my car on the flatbed, drove to the company location ensured I removed all my personal items, inspected the vehicle, annotated all damages and provided me the information regarding the vehicle.Informed me of the location of the vehicle for the claims examiner to gain access to inspect the damage and complete the claim.Im really happy they were there when I needed them.

Ive been coming to Big Tex Auto Repair for 3 yrs. This is the only place I go to have any of my cars serviced they do an amazing job and they get you in and out quick. I recommend them to everyone!

Was a 1 day turn around I took my car in Saturday around 11am I was expecting it on Monday, called me around 2:30pm saying it was ready. Im very happy with my experience, sat around and talked cars for about 30 mins. Will be returning for all my automotive repair needs.
