No matter what system do you choose for your house - the most important day of its life is the day it gets installed. Following all manufacturers instructions and industry standards is a key for the system performance and its longevity. Im happy that Ive chosen The Cold Truth to install a new system for me - they did everything top notch, explained every nuance of the system operation, made sure every vent is operating as it should. I was also happy to see a very experienced technician doing the initial quote instead of the salesman. Terry from The Cold Truth came to give me an estimate and just 2 days later - he came back with his crew to do the install. Top quality work and Im extremely happy with the 2 stage Trane system - mostly silent operation during the day but kicks it up into stage 2 during the hottest time to keep family cool and comfortable. I have two Lennox HVAC units, 13 years old; one is a five ton and the other is a one and a half ton. I pulled off the evaporator coil inspection panels and I could see the Lennox evaporator coils were rusting.I got HVAC quotes to replace both HVAC systems with Trane HVAC systems. It didn’t make financial sense to replace two 13-year-old HVAC systems, that were working great, except for the rusting Lennox evaporator coils. HVAC companies I contacted were quick to recommend replacement of the HVAC systems, except for The Cold Truth Air company. They explained they replaced evaporator coils all the time. The main selling point was when they said they could replace the Lennox evaporator coils with Trane coils. Due to my 13-year-old Lennox coils rusting, I had no interest in replacing the Lennox coils, with new Lennox evaporator coils. The Trane aluminum evaporator coils came with new cabinet housings, a ten year warranty on the coils and a two-year warranty on parts and labor. They also replaced the drain pans, filter dryers, and added HVAC automatic cut-off switches to the drain lines.The installation of the Trane evaporator coils, into my two Lennox HVAC systems took approximately four hours. The installation job was excellent and I highly recommend The Cold Truth company. They will not give you a hard sell sales pitch on a new HVAC system when there are alternatives to keeping your HVAC system running more efficiently and economically.

The Cold Truth is an awesome organization. There is great communication from David concerning appointments and they call with a 20 minute notice that the techs are on the way. The techs are highly skilled and super honest. Terry is great. They kept me informed every step of the way. They even came out on a Sunday evening. The Cold Truth is my go to company for all things HVAC.

Ive had an overflow problem with my A/C for about 2 years. Ive had other companies come out and say that my line was not clogged but they could never correct the problem. Finally, Nick from The Cold Truth came out and after several minutes took off the front cover of the unit. He said he saw a bunch of gunk had built up where the pan meets the drainage pipe. He took the time to clean it out and used some degreaser solution. He then tested the unit for several minutes and the was no overflow and the unit it is now working as designed. Nick took the time to think about what could be causing the problem. My family and I are so grateful. Thank you some much. Customers for life!

I waited nearly a year to post this review, just to weed out any issues. There were none - zero. These guys are pros and better yet, care deeply about getting it right. We dropped a ton of money on a Trane variable speed and it was sooooo worth it. The humidity in our home prior was plus 60%. Post installation - in the 40%’s consistently. These guys came out a few weeks after installation to make some modifications to the system after learning a few things about this new tech. And let me tell you - we had a dehumidifier prior- but after they came out - no need for that unit. Call the Cold Truth now and trust these guys to not only give you the best price - but to do you a solid in getting the tech right - which in our modern society is truly golden 💕

Cold Truth installed two units at our home in 2019. They were very professional in the process and the pricing was fair and transparent. Since the install Dave has provided outstanding customer service while doing regular preventative maintenance and one mechanical repair to the equipment. Would highly recommend Dave and team.

The evaporator coil ruptured on my 11 year old, 3.5 ton unit at the end of May. The company that diagnosed the problem was unable to repair my HVAC for 10 days - which would have left me without a/c for almost 2 weeks. A friend recommended The Cold Truth - she trusts them implicitly. They came out on a Friday to confirm the problem and had the repair crew at my door first thing Monday morning with a new Trane evaporator coil. This company went above and beyond to accommodate me and I cannot recommend them highly enough! Extremely professional and conscientious crew. The Cold Truth replaced my AC and Furnace with a Trane unit. The team showed up on time and clearly explained all the work to be done and when should be completed. This was one of the most professional and courteous contractor teams I have ever had work in my house. They did everything they said they would do and completed in the time they estimated. The job looks clean and everything is working great. I have 100% use and recommend The Cold Truth for any future work I need.

I cant recommend Cold Truth enough to anyone in their service area. David was professional and courteous and made me feel like I was the most important customer and not just another service ticket they had to work on. Love these guys. Honest work and won’t upsell you on replacing your entire system when it’s a specific component. Replaced two condensers with them and service was excellent and any follow up appointments were quick and painless. Had an issue at 5 pm on a Friday and had a tech diagnose and fix it within an hour of my call. Nick is an excellent technician

Excellent service and craftsmanship. Arrived promptly on short notice to repair my old (since 2007) downstairs system (replaced capacitor and recharged refridgerant), and provided a very detailed estimate for a new Trane system. The new system install started on time and was done with attention to detail, including drainage. Got a 2 stage Trane XL17i, works well. Installed and setup my (purchased separately) ecobee premium thermostats too, for upstairs and downstairs. Terry and David and crew were fantastic. Highly recommended. Very pleased to have an AC service team nearby that I can trust.

I chose this company because they were straight forward, low key, and had a good rating. They also had the best hookup with a few home improvement banks for financing. But most of all gave me the best price and equipment (Trane). Did 2 complete AC/furnace systems in half a day. They put 3 crews on it and talk about impressive with a done right job. Wow. I got quotes from multiple companies some of them are high and some of them are low, but then I went with them based on the recommendations from Neighbours. They are experts in what they do. They explained the whole process and addition of new parts as part of the installation. They did exactly what was promised. I also added Halo Reme UV light. Technicians who installed are very good and their workmanship is outstanding. Frisco city inspector also appreciated the work. Yes, Coldtruth took care of City Permits and Inspection.

The Cold Truth replaced my HVAC air handler with the Trane TEM4 air handler and did a great job. I had 2 other quotes but none of them suggested to only replace the inside unite and add Freon to keep my system running cool until they could install it saving me from the excess heat while waiting for the installation.

Quick to respond to service request and quick to make repairs. The communication was excellent and they offered different approaches to resolve the issue. The crew was very conscientious about coming through house and protecting areas (carpets and flooring) from potential damage. I had weighed reviews heavily in deciding who to call and The Cold Truth was still able to exceed expectations for quality customer service.

Got both the units replaced (Lennox) with Trane using Cold Truth. Team did an outstanding job with the installation and provided best prices. If you are looking to replace the whole system with Trane, then Cold Truth Air is the best option. Installation included replacing the entire system (Furnace, coil and condense unit) with Trane XR 17 two-stage and using existing Nest Thermostat. Best price and quality work.

Amazing company and people... Its not often you can say that about someone you really only call when theres an issue that is likely going to cost you money, but it describes The Cold Truth well. From the first interaction with the office, to the service call, everything theyve done for us has been great. They dont suggest unnecessary things, and in fact, have saved me quite a bit of money over other companies. They usually find some way to make it out same day, which in most cases, is a life saver.
