Berrett Pest, HVAC and Plumbing

I had a frustrating experience with Plumber Guy. They came to address a sewer issue, but the job was left undone. I now have waste in my front area, attracting flies, and the sewer cap was left off. They blamed the City of Dallas for the problem, but it feels like they didn’t take responsibility for their work. I’m very disappointed and cannot recommend their services.

Absolutely overpriced, quoted 1200 for what they said was 5 hours of work ….for moving tub valve and drain. Sent 2 guys… but both arrived at different times 15 mins after arrival I to job they said they had to go to store to buy a part… took them 1.5 hours Home Depot is 5 mins away they … came back and were in 1 of the 2 trucks Eating McDonald’s ../ I confronted them. Asked them why didn’t one go get part alone???? They got flustered with me not knowing what to say. They came in and did job in 45 mins…. After they left 30 mins later valve was dripping . One came back and fixed…. Net net it was bad experience and it was a rip off . Do not recommend this company … sorry it’s absolutly how I feel and I have more pics.i gave it 2 stars cause they responded quickly and did pick up the valve and shower head for me.

I already have Berrett come out quarterly for pest control and recently discovered that they have HVAC and Plumbing services available as well. Needless to say, I was very happy with the services. Their guys came out to just take a look at my plumbing and HVAC to make sure everything was working properly, gave me some insights on what they were looking for as well as what I needed to do to make sure my systems worked properly.

Theyve been great. Weve used them a long time and now that they have expanded from just pest control. They have helped us out with HVAC concerns as well as even threw in free cleanings! We appreciate them and Chris G. who helped us with a free service to show their appreciation for their customers.

Barrett HVAC came out in what I’d consider a moments notice to fix my A/C when the heat index was at 110 degrees and my house inside temperature was 87 degrees in mid-August texas weather. I think it’s safe to say they’re a life saver. I was up and running within a few hours of noticing my A/C was out. This is what I call great service.

Technician never arrived. I called to get update and technician stated he was told by leadership of an unknown meeting that would cause him not to be at our scheduled appointment at 8. Customer service representative stated there is always a two hour window(8-10am) but technician still wouldn’t be onsite at 10am. Never pay $40 reservation fee due to this company’s lack of commitment of showing up on time and doing the work in the agreed time slot. New appointment scheduled for a show time at 9am; not a show time between 9-11? Leaders and management, customers DO NOT want a two hour we may show up window. Show up at a designated time.

Lasonya was very helpful when I called to ask about service I needed on my bathtub spout diverter. She was very patient with me and made sure I had all of my questions answered. Scott did a fantastic job repairing a broken shower, exterior faucet and toilet. He was very thorough and organized. He is our third plumber to address these issues and I can say that they are finally fixed. I will definitely want to use him again for my plumbing needs.

Joaquin of Berrett HVAC came to inspect our 3 ac systems in the house and did a superb job explaining what needed to be done with one of the ac units that was not working properly. He changed the filters that were provided to him (2 of which were located in the attic), and took pictures of wirings, and emailed them with explanations. We’re already long term pest control clients of Berrett; now sold to use their service to maintain our air conditioning systems.

The customer service was great. She was very professional and kind and handled my questions quickly.

My service man was as thorough as always. He took care in being sure he got completely around the base of my home as well as the patio. That stopped the bugs running across patio and into house.Fantastic care in delivery of servicesI would recommend this company.

I tried to call the company and it is early so they’re closed. It’s sad when I look up reviews and I see other people mentioning bad drivers. Had a driver flying through Princeton back roads almost hit me and then run a stop sign on the same road kids are waiting for the bus. If these vehicles are monitored I highly recommend you review them because after the past reviews and the driving I just saw. Doesn’t look like Berrett is taking any action.

Got a call today from Chris about Berretts new plumbing service. I appreciated the pro-active outreach and the information that Chris supplied. I currently have a plumbing service, but will definitely keep Berrett in mind for the future.

Brayden’s Work ethic was excellent, As was his plumbing knowledge. He was courteous, hard-working and I could tell he loved his job.

Showed up on time, very courteous, kept me up to date on their progress. Would use them again if needed. The whole Thumbtack thing was cumbersome. Would rather deal directly with the vendor and will next time.

Barrett Pest Control has been my pest control for years, so I am trying their heating and cooling services this week. They are courteous and prompt in their scheduling and have excellent communication and follow up.Raul has been so helpful and suggested a yearly , reasonable maintenance program which I am taking advantage of.

This was my first time to use Berrett’s plumbing services, although we have used their great pest control services since they started in business I believe. The plumber who came out was so efficient, helpful and polite. He ruled out needing further service on the upstairs sinks that I had him check. The price for the call was very reasonable and I will definitely be scheduling them soon to install a new sink we’re adding downstairs. Berrett has always had great communication, from calling to schedule, to texts letting me know when the technician is actually on the way

Berrett came out and diagnosed a hot water slab leak and offered multiple options to repair. Nick and Gabe were very professional and informative.

If this company is anything like its drivers, Ill pass on utilizing them in any capacity. This driver was willing to hit me rather than miss their turn. If my child wasnt in the car I wouldnt be so quick to post this review but she was. Shame on this company for not monitoring their drivers while in company vehicles.

I had three companies check my HVAC units before selecting Berrett. The first two did their best to upsell me a lot of expensive work I “needed “. One told me I needed to replace one of my two units and the other told me the other one was faulty. Berrett’s technician was competent and honest so I selected them to do the work we really needed. Yes I spent a lot on unnecessary service calls but I found an honest company and recommend you start with them.

Great honest company. Took advantage of a special to clear my drain from the outside. LaSonya made it easy to book my appointment for the same day. She was very thorough and polite. The actual work was more than anticipated (2 days), but the technicians took their time and worked hard to clear it out without an extra charge. Will definitely use again for all my home needs.

Two outside lawn hose pipes out of the brick started slow leaks. Leaks enough that water company alerted us to excessive usage. Called Berrett due to their low visit charge that they waived with work.The tech actually came sooner than arranged. Quick work and he was done with both after a quick run for parts.

We ended up having the tiniest of leaks just on our properties side of the city water meter. Braydan McNutt From Berrett came out and not only found the leak quickly but got it repaired and saved us some money on the work that most others would have tried to charge double. He was knowledgeable and upfront on costs and the job itself. Definitely will hire for any future plumbing needs.!

First visit for pest control was very good. Follow up visit a few weeks later the service technician didnt show up and didnt call to let me know. I found out he wasnt coming when the scheduler called me to reschedule AFTER I had struggled with relocating my cats. Very disappointed and canceled contract.

I had a very disappointing experience with Berrett Home Services customer service. The agent I spoke with was rude and unhelpful. They seemed uninterested in addressing my HVAC issue and provided vague answers. Despite multiple follow-ups, my problem remained unresolved. Poor customer service like this is unacceptable. I wont be using their services again

Christina was awesome she helped me try to cancel my services with them I just had issues with the tech that was supposed to be out here 2 last week never showed up. He left me 1 message and after that when I would try to call the tech he would never answer.. everyone else was super awesome and nice but this tech that would never show up.

Technician did a great job of installing natural gas heater and also checking for gas leaks prior to leaving.

I am very disappointed with this company, they said it would be $99 for an evaluation and the technician would give me a quote. They left out the fact that it costs $250 for the first hour and $125 every hour after, plus parts. I even asked the person on the phone if she could give me an idea of cost. It would have been nice for her to say they charge by the hour, not by the job. I recommend using a different plumber who is honest. I am only giving 1 star because I can’t give 0. Very disappointing.

I scheduled an appointment for March 18, 2024. Cameron showed up on time, & was very professional & friendly. My refrigerator supply line had a leak. Cameron repaired the line fast. Berrett Pest was our second cost estimate too. We found Berrett to be very affordable. I would definitely call Berrett Pest for all your plumbing needs.

If I could leave zero stars I would. The first gentleman that came out to my house was great...until he failed to mention I was locked into a 12 month contract. They set traps and discard any of any rodents caught. For $164 and $56 a month afterwards. For that, I could have done it myself. The second guy that came out to my house to set traps, was...get this... is SCARED OF RODENTS! Make it make sense. I tried to call and cancel AFTER paying the initial $164. Thats when I found out I was locked into a contract. Unbelievable.

I called to get my AC fixed and Raul was here within 30min. Our AC got fixed within 30min to an hour and the service was affordable. I highly recommend this company and ask for Raul Perez.

I had a dead animal rotting on the side of my house just found on a holiday weekend and Christina at Berrett worked a way for someone to swing by and take care of it. This is the experience you get with this company! If I could give more stars I would. Thank you Christina!!

Ive been happy with their pest control service.

Unfortunately their prices are outrageously high. They quoted $550 for simple replacement of a bathroom faucet. The faucet cost between $60 to 80 at Home Depot and they wanted up to $470 for a 30 minute job. Not happy with their prices and paying their service call was be cheaper.

Raul was very professional. He was expertly knowledgeable about the situation I was having with my A/C system. I felt extremely comfortable with the skillful approach that he took to diagnose the problem and his solution in resolving the problem.

Christina was very helpful and resolved our issue within minutes. It was a pleasure being able to speak to someone directly and not a computer.

Our electric water heater stopped heating the water. Our technician diagnosed that the heating element was out and needed to be replaced. Technician gave maintenance tips to extend life of water heater. Tech gave 30 day work warranty. I highly recommend Barrett Home services. No up sale for total replacement unless absolutely nessasary.Competitor services tried to up sale total replacement at a higher rate than Lowes or Home Depot at almost double the total cost including instalation.

All employees are so so helpful! I always have a pleaser experience with whoever I get on the phone. Today, Christina was wonderful!

Do not go with them ever. Theyll waste your time and money. Theyll never show up. They had initially told me that theyll be here by 2 pm. They didnt come here even after 4 pm and when I had called them again, they said they do not even have my data or phone number and didnt help me at all. I REPEAT DO NOT GO WITH THEM.

Been in contract for over a year. Nice techs and customer service. I have to proactively get them on my calendar these days even when my card gets charged. My card got charged over $250 for a warranty on a property I don’t own, so lack of communication. Giving a decent review even though there are clearly management issues…

Luci help me reactive my account. She was incredibly helpful, friendly and professional. I’ve used Berrett for the last year and a half. Every individual I’ve come in contact with (their customer service to their technicians) at Berrett has created such a positive experience.

Jules is an incredible customer service rep with great service — However, their product did not help in the least, I am sorry to have to say it. Had them come out for months with zero improvement. And they will continue to auto-draft bank accounts, even when you’re not using it or when you’re “finished” if you don’t specifically tell them. I signed up for 3 months and they drafted for 7.

Great customer service! Tech was very professional and friendly. Used to see ant mounds on tree mulch but no more now.

This company is awesome. From the receptionist (Michelle) to the service technician (Marisa), everyone is professional and courteous. I am very pleased with the service we have received since changing companies about 6 months ago. They are also extremely flexible in setting an appointment for servicing our account. They were good at first but then added me to a yearly contract after I specifically said I was not interested in one. Their excuse was since I called back for a receipt on the services they provided, i was automatically added, and they did admit it was a mistake on their end. But they still charged me and were willing to close the contract if I paid for half. Very deceiving and unprofessional. They knew the mistake was on their end but would not take accountability.

Having re-treatment and person I spoke with today was extremely helpful and pleasant while setting up that appointment and my next quarterly appointment. She made sure the times were set for my convenience and gave a two hour window (no waiting around all day.) She also made sure all my pest problems were addressed, and she made notes for the technician. Very efficient and service-oriented company.

Excellent service, friendly staff! From making the appointment to having service provided, it all goes efficiently and effectively. Everyone I’ve talked to has been friendly and helpful. Other places should really try taking customer service tips here, since they might learn something about how to keep customers both loyal and happy.We chose to get the year-round deal where they come spray inside and out once a quarter. The best thing about it is the guarantee, though. If you see a bug between treatments, they will come back for free. I’ve only had to use that guarantee once or twice (at peak bug season) in several years, but it sure is nice to know they’ve got us covered. The quarterly treatment plan definitely beats remembering to schedule appointments on my own, too.Finally, pet-friendly bug spraying was a must, since we have two indoor kitties. While they said the cats probably shouldn’t lick the stuff off the ground, it’s fine to have it sprayed with them in the room. So that’s nice... Yep, gotta say, if you’re looking for a pest control company in Houston, Berrett Pest Control is a damn fine choice.
