Knight in Shining Armor Robert is always professional, reliable and trustworthy he explains in detail to where you can understand. He and Frankie did a great job of getting my heat pump back up and working in these freezing tempatures and making sure the system is working well. They did a review of Lennox heat pump and air handler and duct work to determine what could lower run time and increase heat. Robert explains in detail so that you can understand how the system works and how to make it more efficient. This was additional follow-up after installation that his company did back in June 2023. We are grateful for Robert and his staff.

My system was not cooling. Robert arrived on time as promised and diagnosed the problem within 1/2 hour. The heat pump was not getting power due a worn out contactor. But the root cause was that it was cycling so many times due to poor air flow and dirty coils. He checked the entire system including the proper thermostat function and replaced the contactor, cleaned the coils, changed the air filter and helped me understand the issues. The repair will also reduce my energy bill. I appreciate his coutesy and professionalism. He is my go to HVAC Person and have referred him to my friends and relatives which all have been pleased with his service.

I had been dealing with a “Choice home” warranty issue for five weeks, when I finally called “Knight in shining armor”, I had heard great things about this company from Neighbors!The owner answered my call I explained that we had been without AC for five weeks in the Texas heat and he was at my house within the hour. Amazing!Once he arrived, He did a very detailed job over the next 2 1/2 hours, thoroughly checking everything out and getting my unit up and running. Within two hours our house was cool again. We made a call to Robert last night (after hours) in order to get a quick service for the year on our AC and he was more than happy to talk with us and setup an appointment for first thing this morning. He showed up in the two hour window as promised and he was very professional and straightforward about the job he was coming to perform. He was very knowledgeable in the job he was here to perform along with having a great attitude and customer service skills. Called after hours and was able to have Robert help us with the issue with our AC. He was friendly, prompt, and helpful in showing us exactly how to fix the problem if we ever ran into it again. We tried to replace the thermostat unit ourselves and blew a fuse. So, Robert came to the rescue, fixed the issue, and installed our Nest unit for us in a timely manner, with short notice. I called around to other companies after hours and wasn’t able to get anyone to come out until the next day. However, Robert came out in just 45 mins after we contacted him. Knight in Shining Armour installed a complete brand new AC and heating system in my home. Robert and his team were on time, efficient and did a great job. Highly recommend giving Robert a call if your in the market for a new a/c.I called Knight in Shinning Armor out to give me a bid on replacement for a customer of mine that we were replacing their roof. Both the Roof and A/C units had hail damage. This was a big job that was 4 stories and a tight workspace, also had to coordinate with a crane for both installations! What could have been a logistical nightmare turned into a smooth operation!Robert was also able to upgrade from a 14 seer unit to a 16 seer and the customer loved his service from start to finish. I cant tell you how many times Robert and his Knight in Shining Armor team have bailed me out of AC problems. In addition to my home I have several rental properties and flip homes as well. They have done everything from installing new systems and relocating existing systems to routine preventive maintenance and emergency service repairs. More than the high quality of their work, it is the trust I have in their honesty and professionalism that keeps me coming back.

Our AC had not been cooling the house properly and a different service provide come out, only to tell us there was nothing wrong with our unit; however wanted to charge us $2,000 to put a new unit in...sketchy. Robert was assigned to us by our home warranty service, but it was late on a Friday, so I was not expecting a call until that Monday. Nope! Robert called with in 5 minutes and showed up within 30! He gave us a run down of why our unit wasn’t cooling to the best of its abilities, fixed the problem, and gave us tips to keep it working. He was very personable, thorough and took the time to have a chat with us, even though it was late in the day. We will be calling him if we have my other issues!

I’ve used Knight and Shining Armor twice once during the summer and once this fall. Both experiences were great. They worked so hard even staying until 3am to finish the job. My husband was very impressed with the quality of work and how clean they left the area after replacing our condenser. Then I used them when my heat wasn’t working and they called me and got us in right away. Very friendly and professional.

My system just stopped working and I called this company based on a recommendation. They came out and did a system check based on process of elimination. I love this because sometimes the problem is super simple and easy to solve. We thought we had a simple fix but unfortunately I had a massive leak in my compressor which he showed me. I recently had a air conditioner not working and my home warranty company referred us to this company for repairs. They were contacted on a Thursday but unable to come out for 5 days. After diagnosing our problem they were to call the home warranty company for approval. Unfortunately I was informed that no one would be able to call them because of the long call wait time. The home warranty company refused to approve repairs without the appropriate paperwork. Im the homeowner stuck without air in the summer heat! I was able to get a supervisor to call him directly and repairs were approved after 4 more days and multiple calls that were not returned. Once repairs were completed the air conditioner still did not work. They then informed me that I needed more repairs and a expensive coil replaced. The home warranty company refused any more repairs which was actually a blessing because we called another company who came out the same day, and with in an hour our air conditioner was working. They informed me that the new part was not installed correctly and they had never replaced our air filter and had left it just sitting in attic. No I didnt need a expensive coil! Beware!

Robert has such a high level of integrity that you dont see very often anymore. He was able to provide a great diagnosis of my moms heating unit and made sure everything was working properly (unlike another company that was previously out there). I will definitely be using his services from now on for any a/c or heater needs!!

Knight in Shining Armor did a repair on our upstairs A/C and a replacement of our downstairs A/C system through a warranty claim. Robert did a great job of handling questions from the home warranty company and they completed the work in a timely fashion despite delays from the home warranty company. I would recommend them for home A/C repairs or replacement.

This company was hired to diagnose a problem I was having with the furnace in a recently purchased home. I bought a home warranty thru old republic with the home purchase and knight in shining Armour (KISA) was their contracted repair service. I was greeted by the owners young son who proceeded to tell me that the very first thing I need to do is clean the system for an out of pocket cost of $375 or my claim to the home warranty company would not be accepted. He then proceeded to tell me that both the heater and the AC unit were inoperable and needed replaced. He suspected a power issue. He submitted a repair order to the home warranty company for over $6,000. The warranty company called and asked several questions about any electrical failure and I began to grow suspicious about KISA. I decided to call a local independent contractor to come take a look and discovered there was absolutely NOTHING wrong with my AC unit and the furnace was fixed in 15 minutes with a $30 part! Ive asked KISA to return the $375 I paid them (to apparently assist with the attempt to defraud the home warranty company) and the owner ignored my calls for months. Then i was told call the office theyll get it straightened out. Still never got a check. I did report this to the home warranty company, but not sure if they took action. But anyway....beware of these scammers!

We scheduled this company through our home warranty company old world republic. The company called and said they would be out first call of the day on 7.19.18. By 12 we still had not seen anyone. My husband called to see they were coming and they never returned his call. We called warranty company back and they reached out and the tech showed after 3pm. He opened unit and said looked brand new and checked filter. He changed the filter and then said our unit needed to be cleaned and may need freon. But then he said he wouldnt do that same day. Said it would have to be another service call and approved by warranty company and would be 275 if not covered. We called the warranty company because we didnt agree. The warranty company said the tech told them the unit needed to be maintenanced and needed to have filter and coil replaced. Because of this the warranty company would not send anyone else out. Mind you the tech changed the filter while he was at our house but didnt tell the warranty company this either, he said it still needed it. We had to buy window units to get through the 110 degree weekend with small children and then had to pay another company to come out. The new company services the unit and added freon which was 2+ lbs low and then our air conditioner was good to go. Its a shame Knights in Shining Armour had to take advantage of a family during these hot days! I would never recommend them to anyone. And by the way the new company fixes the issue in less than hour and less cost and no coil needed replaced.

My 24 year old heating unit needed a circuit board and after Robert tried extensively to locate the part he found out they no longer made it. He went to work on finding me a fair price on a inside and outside complete unit. The quote was very reasonable. Robert was very knowledgeable and professional. Thanks Robert!

Was detailed and appreciate Robert explaining in detail what he found on our system. The only issue was that they were scheduled to be at our house on a Sunday at 8 am and they did not show up. I had to text and call and was finally told they would not be able to make it, even though they are the ones that set the Sunday appointment, I did not request it to be on the weekend. The appointment was rescheduled for Monday, and they arrived earlier than expected, and I appreciate that.

Hats off to Knight In Shining Armor Heating & Air.Robert came out & diagnosed a potentially catastrophic problem on our heater. We were not aware it just how serious as it was. As a result we had to have our complete HVAC system replaced. On Dec 18, 2018, they showed up just before 7 am, and within a few hours had both the inside unit & outside parts replaced. This also included doing a bit of modernization on a 20 year old system, They were professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable about their craft, thoroughly explaining everything that they did in a manner easy to understand.Our house is comfortable now, & with the new fan even the back rooms are more comfortable.I highly recommend Robert & his staff at Knight In Shining Armor for your heating & A/C needs.Jim CarpenterBedford, TX

They came out and did a repair and put in a new coil and when they turnd on the unit they blew fiberglass insulation thru the house and was still getting flakes the the house , I called Robert and he said to call somebody and he would reimburse me for the cost than said he would not pay for the clean up and just had the ducts cleaned a few month before hand, then he said I was bully him when he promised to pay, He thinks its ok for fiberglass to blow the the house.and also didnt finish the drain on pan liner .this has been on going for months. Got a lawyer to send a request to pay the bill and still he will not pay , do not use this guy , knight in shining armor more like knight in a hobo suit .. beware...call another company. Robert acts like a child , when confronted. not professional at all.I guess it is time to see him small claims court. and the better business bureau ,

Robert diagnosed our heater problem in our rental unit and was able to repair it so it wouldnt rust through the pan in the ceiling. Very professional and would recommend highly.
