These guys are great. Very professional and thorough. Donald did such a great job at my residence that I signed up for the maintenance plan for my rental property also. Very nice reports showing all the diagnostic information of your system is emailed to you after the visit. Highly recommend!
Ive been using Dunrite for annual maintenance and one mini split installation for a couple years now after a bad experience with another company here in Austin. I remain extremely pleased with the quality of service and attention they provide. My neighbor recommended Dunrite to me and I absolutely do the same. I also want to give a shout-out to the tech, Derek, who has been doing most of the work at our house. Hes always polite, friendly, and willing to answer my questions and give excellent advice.
Dunrite came right away to my home to help with a birds nest in our dryer vent. We were worried about a fire hazard and they were able to come out same day, remove the nest, and clean our vent! It really set my mind at ease and made our dryer work better. Thank you so much Dunrite!
Josh was our tech and he was excellent. Explained everything as he went through both our furnace and AC units. He was very thorough and was extremely knowledgable. Highly recommend Dunrite.
In December I received a call from the owner of Dun-Rite HVAC saying he was the new owner of Canards HVAC in Benbrook that I had purchased a new heat pump and furnace from and he was offering me a free 1 year of maintenance check up on my unit to welcome me. I called the office And scheduled an appointment. Unit is 5 years old and runs great well the tech came out and said fan motor is going out and if I don’t fix it and it goes out other parts could be damaged I said I have a warranty he said yes 10 years warranty on parts but not labor I told him I had purchased a labor warranty also when I bought the new unit He said if I have it in writing he would honor it I showed it to him he said he had to talk to his boss and he would call back. He called a few days later and says he called warranty company and they won’t cover labor because part has not gone out completely and I would have to pay and it needs to be done soon before it goes out completely so I paid for it. Tech came out and replaced and was great done in 1hour. I decided to call warranty company and ask them what is going on they said it is not true if tech says part is going out and could damage other parts they would pay.the company just has to submit paperwork to them. That’s when trouble started I called to speak to shop manager but he was in a meeting but called later his name was William I explained what happened he said he would talk to tech and take care of it and would send paperwork to warranty company and get my money back. He gave me his email so I could send him the warranty company email and phone number so he could get with them. Heard nothing for 1week so I emailed him he emailed back that paperwork was sent and waiting on them. Heard nothing for 2 weeks so I emailed William again but no response I waited another week emailed again no response. Another week still no response so I call warranty company and ask what is the status they say a check was mailed to Dun-Rite at end of January so I call and ask for William well he’s in a meeting and will call me. No phone call no response. After another week I called back the lady tells me they haven’t received a check. I am very disappointed and confused by this situation of poor customer service. It seems to me that they got paid by me and warranty and they are ignoring me now so beware of doing business with these people. I wonder if owner knows how customers are being treated or is this just how they do business. I have emailed William 7 times in the last 8 weeks and he hasn’t responded since the third time. This week I will be filing a complaint with BBB and posting this review on X and Facebook and will put in a call to local news stations consumer reporters to see if they are interested in a story of consumer fraud. I wonder if State of Texas would be interested or maybe a good attorney? Well sorry for long story but I am very frustrated over this
My heat went out in the freeze, it was very tense and stressful but the lady I spoke to on the phone was knowledgable, friendly and very sympathetic to my situation. She was able to get somebody out very promptly and he was amazing, quickly identifying the problem and sorting a temporary solution, to keep my family warm, while he ordered the parts and scheduled the permanent repairs.I would recommend Dunrite to anyone that needs a reliable, knowledgable and friendly company in to assist them. I feel like I was exceptionally well taken care of.
A great and detail explanation of what was the issue with my heater. it was an old unit so we decided to go with a new unit. It took a little over 2 hrs. to install and what a difference it has made. The techs were excellent and efficient.
Dunrite HVAC has our full 5 Star Recommendation including for responding the same day in cold and inclement weather.Nick, our technician, was not only extremely knowledgeable but also very personable. He called when he was on his way and quickly had our heat unit back up and running. As a courtesy, he took extra time to explain steps we can take ourselves to prevent having a repeat of the original issue as well as tips to keep our unit running efficiently. Plus, Nick was honest that no new parts were needed and that just our service call fee covered his work.THANK YOU DUNRITE & NICK for EXEMPLARY CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Technician came out for a maintenance check. Checked the inside and outside units. Also inspected the ducts.Very friendly and courteous. Seemed to talk like he knew what he was doing and seeing. He made a couple of suggestions, but no high pressure or scare tactics. Will probably proceed with his suggestions since they made sense to me.
Derrick is an awesome HVAC service tech and has been to my home several times, always good service and gets the job done right first time. He answered all of my questions and explained everything clearly as he was going along running down the electric shorting problem in my AC. Electric shorts are often difficult to diagnose but luckily the problem was not intermittent, it was constant failure on the outside unit determined after process of elimination.
We purchased a new A/C and Heating unit and they also did the installation in the summer. It got cool the last couple of days and we turned on the heat but it didn’t come on. I called the next morning at 8:00 AM they sent a technician out with in just a few hours. He arrived got the problem taken care of and unit is now working fine! Good service.
2 days before thanksgiving , our heater is not working so we call service guy to come to check our heater. Service guy said that our A/C and heater is out of date ( very old 1983 unit ) and can’t get parts to replace . We end up purchase new A/C and heater unit and suppose to installation new unit Friday after thanksgiving . On Friday morning service guy came my home and tell me that they can’t do installation new unit today due the supplier were close due holiday , I was not very happy when I hear that . I told service guy it will be cold all weekend . Service guy said that he keep try find the supplier so they found supplier in Allen. They went head remove old unit out and installed new unit . I really thanks those guys that don’t give up. They did doing great job ! GOOD SERVICE !
I admit I had some concerns about the buyout because we’ve used Canards for so long. My technician, Jacob (I think) was very professional, checked everything out, and answered all my questions. My unit is only 2 years old and I feared his job would be to find something wrong. He did not! I am pleased.
Blower motor had stopped, so phoned our local HVAC experts who we have used for years, to find out they were bought by Dunrite. Engineer was still local and was great and honest. Dunrite however tried to absolutely fleece us on an under warranty part, and told us it was nowhere to be found in the country. This was a complete lie. I talked with another company, who allowed me to listen to the call with Lennox who can have the part with them in 3 working days. The price of this part was also $367. Dunrite quoted me $1100 for the part(under warranty), and $1700 to install it at some point in the future. I am having it installed in 3 working days for under $500 from a competitor. BUYER BEWARE
Service tech was on time and very polite. He ran some tests on my unit and checked outside unit and attic for ductwork.I was very pleased and cost for visit was very reasonable. Shout out to Akeem, and Dunrite HVAC for their service.
Problem was discovered by HVAC Tech (Jeff) and he was here for about an hour or maybe two and got our Heat to working as it should. He also stated that the two phase board that was installed the last time or one of the many times they have been here to work on my brand new 5 ton HVAC system was incorrect and that the correct board would be ordered and it would be installed by another visit from a Dunrite Tech. I never thought that a brand new installation would have so many problems.Ed BuelOn Monday Jan 13, Wessley & Garrison showed up at 12:15pm and worked for a couple of hours to install the correct board. They said everything was working as it should before they left for the day. Hopefully the Emergency Heat and normal heat options will work as designed when the next cold front arrives this weekend.
4-5 times now we’ve had emergency issues either late in the day or just after hours and their “after hours” services NEVER call back. If you have an issue, it would seem you’d be better off going somewhere else rather than attempting to rely on this company to call you back. At this point, would highly recommend AGAINST trusting them with at least the after hours care. We are long standing customers and couldn’t be more dissatisfied with how they continue to drop the ball, especially since we pay them extra for their maintenance plan.Reply: We’ve heard this reply about 4-5 times now and just don’t believe any of it anymore.
We responded to their ad for a FREE inspection. DunRite rep did inspection and said we had a carbon dioxide leak and that we had to replace two 4 year old systems for 13k. We got a second opinion from another HVAC contractor who did a new reading that showed there was no carbon dioxide leak. Maybe just a rouge salesman but we will never use DunRite.
This is my third time having services performed on our HVAC system by All-Year/Dunrite, this time only for maintenance, every time the technicians have been excellent in workmanship and communication. I will continue to use them in the future, and I recommend them to friends.
The installation team was great. But I’m disappointed in the SEER (14.3). It’s not much better that 20 year old system it replaced (SEER 13). It’s also much noisier than same size and brand that it replaced. I paid extra for surge protectors but I see no evidence of them.
Courteous, very competent, on-time; Spenser quickly fixed a broken component in the HVAC unit and plugged up an existing problem with the breather flu. Very happy with the work and the scheduling process. All-Year/Dunrite is a winner.
Nick did an awesome job of repairing our HVAC system. Did a thorough job of diagnosing the problem, avoiding costly replacement parts. Highly recommend!
Akeemwas great, and he did a great job..I will request him when ever I need service..... ThanksThe customer service dept was super handling my service request...Super job all round...Al Surles
Very disappointed and feel ripped off. I called them to come out to my house for an issue. They sent a tech who gave me a quote to fix the issue. I paid half of the cost that day and he said theyd call me to schedule the actual work.No call received, I had to call them to schedule (after a week of no calls). They finally send out 2 techs to do the work. They do it, take pictures, say its all done, charge me the second half of the cost and say they will email me the photos (never received). Two weeks go by and the issue recurs so I call to have them come back out to check the work they had previously done. I was then told theyd likely charge to do that... I asked them to waive the fee because its work that I had already paid for previously. They say theyll check with their service manager and get back. They then say ok, no charge and someone will be out that day at 4:30.. No one ever showed. At 5:30 that day, I call, no answer and leave a voicemail. They return the call the next day and say they will get back to me later after checking again with their service manager. So far, no response at the end of day.I paid $1900 for this service and am being given a run around now that they have my cash. Beware..
Spencer did a thorough review of our two systems and explained all the steps he took. he was exactly on time. Well done all around.
Prompt, thorough, respectful of property. Provided system upgrade quotes at the time of service. Informed us on the impending price changes and the switch from freon to propane.
Mr. Malone displayed a friendly demeanor and welcomed any questions I might have. Worked diligently. Excellent performance.
You sent me a $17,000 estimate which included a brand new compressor. Competitor came and fixed the faulty float switches for $400.
Jakob was very helpful and professional! I appreciate them coming out and offering specials for their clients.
Very friendly and knowledgeable. They took time to actually understand a tricky issue and ensure it was fixed. Thanks Jeff and Josh!
Everybody at All Year Heating and Cooling/Dunrite HVAC Services--from the people who answer the phone to the technicians who service our system-- are first-rate. We are very satisfied customers.
Absolutely awful company. Their customer service is horrific. If you hire them, you better pray nothing goes wrong because they will not own their mistakes. Terrible terrible experience.
Nick took time to set up the Trane Home for me. Now I feel like I have more control over my ac system.
If there was a ZERO rating, I would have put that. Stay away from this company. They put a P trap in my AC drain pan for $500 and that is leaking now. I had to call a plumber and pay him to redo the mess dubrite did. Also, they didn’t even bother to check and wait to see if the drain is fully unclogged after they push the so called nitro. They sent the technician again the next day when I complained that my ac drain pan is again full, and then the guy comes and very casually says “oh we didn’t do the due diligence and should have checked the bathroom sink and if it’s clogged”. Horrible experience. Do not hire them
Allyear Heating and cooling never disappoints! I always recommend them first when anyone asks as they are prompt and courteous and attractive as well!
Nick is a nice young man to fix my heater. Its nice to feel heat.
I have been using this company for a long time. Quick service and professional. Got the job done right. Thank you.
They did a good job but one vent was missed we think. Can we arrange for them to come back?
Technician was pleasant and knowledgable. Diagnosed problem quickly and completed job.
These guys are always so dependable and professional. They came out for services, did a thorough check and gave recommendations without being too sales-y. Brian was so knowledgeable and patient in explaining everything to us. We will continue using them for our bi-annual maintenance as well as any HVAC needs!
We have used Dunrite for years. You actually talk to a real person when you call. They are very professional and responsive. Can usually get them out to the house the same day I call in order to diagnose the problem. And typically repairing either that day or getting new parts and repairing the next day. Super friendly and professional! Definitely my HVAC service company of choice! Definitely recommend.
They were able to send someone out right away. Brian is the Best!! He was so kind and so knowledgeable. He knew right away what the problem was and had our AC back up and cooling in no time. This was on a Friday evening, and inside the house it was already 91 degrees. This was the only company on a long list that could even send someone out. I definitely recommend this company and will be using them again!!
We recently had the pleasure of working with Brian Moore for HVAC services in our commercial space, and the experience was nothing short of excellent. Brians service was not only fast but also carried a level of professionalism that exceeded our expectations. His expertise was evident as he efficiently addressed any issues and patiently answered all our questions regarding system maintenance. Brians commitment to customer satisfaction is commendable. We now have a well-functioning HVAC system thanks to his skillful work. We highly recommend Brian Moore for his outstanding service, and were confident in awarding Dun-Rite a well-deserved 5-star rating.
My A/C broke down in the morning and a technician was dispatched for the afternoon. Garison was on time and super professional. He was patient with answering my questions and was very knowledgeable with his answers. Best tech I’ve ever had on any service call period.Repair was down first thing in the morning because a new blower was needed.Best experience with a A/C combo and O highly recommend them, in fact, I have referred them to a neighbor recently.
The tech was great. Diagnosed the problem quickly and came up with a plan to get it fixed early the next day. The problem is that when I called for service I suspected the fan was the problem and asked if the techs carry one on the truck and the person on the call didn’t know. (They don’t and should know that). The plan was the tech would go get the part at 8am and come over and install and the office would call with pricing in the morning. I had to call them because it was almost 9 and I hadn’t heard anything. They wanted over $1000 to replace the outdoor unit fan and couldn’t give me a breakdown of how much was parts and how much was labor.Next day edit: I bought the fan from the supplier for $116 and replaced it myself in under an hour.
I worked with Brian at Dun Rite. He was quick and responsive. He knew exactly what was wrong and fixed it immediately. We had our AC system break on us during 105 degree weather and he was out within 2 hours! Fixed it and we were back cooling immediately. I highly recommend Dun Rite! They saved me and my family!
Don did a great job checking our HVAC systems today. Explained everything clearly.
Excellent communication and PROMPT service! Trouble free installation of new unit!
Let me start by saying I have four dogs and a cat. It used to be four dogs and THREE cats. That is a LOT of pet hair. Your dust the floor and by the time you finish, it needs to be done again. This is relevant because my 2 year old HVAC system died about a wee and a half ago due to pet hair getting sucked into the system. Dunrite came out - no judgment - and helped us solve the issue, even offering finance options. Yes, it did take a week to get the parts, when the time came, they were on time, professional, courteous, and so fast. From the explanation, I thought it would take a day or more. Nope. Probably two hours. They even offered tips to help keep pet hair out so this doesnt happen again. My tip: Purchase their annual maintenance package. They come out twice a year to service the system and if you need parts or extra services, you get a 10% discount. It made the final cost less than originally quoted and paid for itself with this issue. I hadnt had this in place PRIOR to the problem. Had I had it in place, I would NOT have needed this repair.
I had Mr William Taylor come out and fix all the issues that I had with my unit. He was very professional and very experienced. He was able to detect all the issues and explain to me what was wrong and what he was going to do to fix it. I am happy Dun rite hires great employees that hold the core values of its company.Marc Greenhaw
My second time to have Dunrite team out to my house. They were out to do duct cleaning. All around cannot recommend them more. Team showed up and explained the process clearly up front and let us know what to expect. They were very polite and communicated clearly on if we needed them to do certain parts of the house in a specific order as the equipment can be loud. They left our house spotless and did an excellent job. Would highly recommend them to anyone.
Very disappointing the the service that this company provided. Not only were they NOT responsive with the financing but they didnt know what they were doing. I continously was given the run around. We paid for them to come out a inspect our A/C. We given a repair invoice quote then a quote for a new A/C. I called for assistance with the online financing, was told the tech will assist. Well the tech was great, he helped as much as could but when it came to a certain section, I would expect that the office or finance manager would assist. But no. I called left messages, they called me back to say the manager will call me back...TWICE..and still nothing. No call back from the office, nor manager, nor finance manager, as she stated would. So obviously being stuck in a hot house for over a week with a young child didnt matter to them. Luckily, we were able to get our AC repaired for less than half the price Dunrite quoted through another company. NO MORE HEAT!
Outstanding service visit to repair frozen AC unit. Called for service at 8 AM, Brian arrived at 10:30 after a courtesy call and text. Repair complete in 45 min, which included condenser coil cleaning. Fair charge for service. Very pleased.
I think the crew is very nice, professional, responsive. But I think they overcharge quite a bit - they charge over $500 to replace a capacitor (part runs for like $50-75) and the job is ~30-45 min from arrival to departure for the tech, including the actual replacement, as well as inspection of system and discussion of pricing.I had originally booked Nicks HVAC, but it looks like Dunrite took them over or rebranded or something.
Came & did what was expected- Jakob was very nice and explained everything that was done
I have to say that a Tech named William, an older gentleman, has brought back my business to Dunrite Hvac. I have 2 houses and a total of 4 air condition units. William has done a fantastic job of diagnosing our latest issue at 1 of our houses. The job ended up being a little more than originally planned. However, William stayed in contact with us thru the entire process. He stayed on top of getting the parts as quickly as possible and getting back out to install the needed parts. He even went into the office on Saturday just to bring us portable air condition units so that we would not have to go thru the heat of the weekend without air. I really appreciate that since we have grandkids in that house. I cant say enough good things about William. He is honest. He has integrity. He really cares about his customers. He is very knowledgeable. I am VERY impressed with him! Many thanks to him for all of his dedication and hard work. As long as he is working at Dunrite, they will keep my business,A shout out also to Lewis for all of his help. I have had quite a few conversations with him over the last 3 days and he has also been helpful.
Needed to have a new thermostat installed. Garison was awesome. He was professional, showed up on time, and got the job done so five stars for him. Only negative thing is the price. I thought it was a bit outrageous for a simple install. Only reason I had contacted an hvac technician to install it is because apparently whoever did the previous wiring did it incorrectly. Assuming your wiring is correct though installing a new thermostat only takes like 10 min.
I had another well known company come out for the same problem and they couldn’t identify any issues and couldn’t leave the house quickly enough. All Year was responsive, through and professional in their assessment. They provided multiple solutions for the identified problem including a low cost fix. Highly recommend!
Good job diagnosing and solving an electrical problem!
Money grab. No ethics. These guys bought Nicks air after he passed away. I loved that company. Nick was a wonderful person. Too bad this company isnt following the same ethics that Nicks Air followed.Called for service. Was told there would be an $89 trip fee-no problem for me. If a part or service was needed, was told that the $89 would go toward the final bill. Job to 15 minutes (5 of which the tech was outside gabbing on the phone). The Tech (who was very nice and professional) blew out the clogged line. I was paying by CC so he took out his iPad-that could not get a signal. He said he couldnt tell me the final price, but the 89 bucks would come off and it wasnt that much more. I trusted and signed. He said, the gal at the office would send receipt. Instead of a receipt, I received 5 different PDFs with estimates for maintenance agreements. I never even spoke the tech about maintenance agreements. NO receipt.I finally checked my cc statement and there was a $235 charge for Dun-rite! Yes, 235! That means the final bill was fricking $324 before they were so nice and took off the $89! (I’m being sarcastic!) I left messages and emailed them asking what the heck was going on with this bill and the email with maintenance agreements. I received a call back from a young woman-she was very nice-but I was told in no uncertain terms, that the $235 was the final bill. This was not a ‘repair’ or ‘replacement’ of the line. This was two seconds of blowing the line out. Ridiculous. You’d think they would want repeat customers. Apparently not.
Brian Moore was an excellent technician. He was able to patiently share his expertise with me and made complex terms easy to understand. Brian ensured all my questions were fully addressed and walked me through the process of implementing solution from testing to showing results.Thank you Brian, you have ennead my trust and future business.
I would recommend DunRite HVAC services. They are efficient and timely, professional.
Update from 6 days ago. Finally 5 days later with temps around 110 they got back to me.Their response: Your A/C Unit is not under warranty like we thought it was, our tech misspoke. Your quote for a 7 year old compressor that was $2009 under warranty is now $7900 since it is not under warranty. I my opinion this is price gouging when Texas heat is at its highest and I have been without for 5 days.Let me break it down if Dunright is reading this. Your original quote to install a compressor that was warrantied was $2009. So your labor costs on this was basically $2009. So that means the new compressor cost $5000. I searched that compressor and retail I could get for $2500. I called 3 A/C companies for new quotes. I had one do it the next day for a total of $2500. Including the compressor and labor. Be careful people do your homework, this company will take advantage of you.
Wesley was very thorough in making various checks to resolve our issue.
Lucas was amazing! He came out told us what was wrong and had our ac fixed within an hour! Saved over $1000 on the yearly maintenance we set up with him too which also took 10% off our bill!
I can’t even believe I just got a request for a review from these guys. It’s been 3 days since they came out diagnosed and gave me an estimate. Tried to sign estimate and his iPad would not work. Said he would send it by email - never got it. Called yesterday and they said I needed to sign first. I explained that I tried. Said they would send it. Never got it. They said they would put me “on the board” It’s been 106 degrees no word no email and now I just get an answering machine. They were very fast however for the “emergency” service call for $139.
I appreciated him coming over that day, But we were told 20 minutes and it was over an hour. I was also disappointed about having to maybe spend an additional $520 on a fairly new air conditioner. I haven’t decided what I’m going to do.
So grateful that Dunrite was able to service our ac less than 24 hours from when I called. They were quick and professional and I would call them again if I need work done on my hvac.
The HVAC winter check up service was quick & efficient. The tech was professional & efficient. He explained the process & the state of the equipment. He’ll be back in the Spring to check out the a/c. Quick & complete!
Professional and personable! I highly recommend Dunrite Hvac Services!!
William showed up and took his time to assess and explain his impression. Have good solutions and did a great fix! The general dispatch folks were also kind and efficient.
Derek is knowledgeable, explained what he was looking for and answered my questions.
Rating based on the thoroughness of the inspection and with photos and lists kept.
Arrived on time, courteous, professional, answered all my questions.
William Taylor with Dunrite came out to help us out when our capacitor went out in the height of texas heat. Prices were fair, the service was good, and a job was well done. Thank you!
I was under the impression this is a good honest company, but my last experience tells otherwise. Has a technician come give me a price to move the condenser unit and he quoted me 11k. Also sent me a 22k proposal for a new ac, as contractors are working on the remodel, he assumes the current ac will break down soon and proposed a new ac as well. Outrageous....
Jeff was on time, knew his business and solved the problem!
Lucas and Garrison were awesome!!! So understanding of my situation! Explained everything! Super nice, polite and respectful as well as knowledgeable and efficient!! Could not recommend higher!!
My best part was my experience with the office manager who was very helpful in getting someone out toy house quickly. Unfortunately they didnt resolve the issue but communication was top notch.
Josh was very courteous and thorough!
Brian did an awesome job. He came in and was very professional, didn’t push anything and just got the job done. I was very impressed.
All questions were answered with a clear understanding of the issues.
On-time, professional, yet personable with the ability to illustrate what and why a particular service is necessary. Then, wont-top of that, they dont “upsell” you by trying to sell you something or service not needed.
The representative was very knowledgeable about the product and was able to address questions/ concerns. We are stilll thinking about our options and financing.
Did a great job. Worked hard.
Excellent service repairman, named Donald.
Derek is excellent, efficient, and knowledgeable. Could not ask for better service!
Great Company!!! They have wonderful customer service, work efficiently, and good pricing. Always does an amazing job!!!
GREAT A/C company! Jeff is a 10/10 person!
