You couldnt ask for a better & more experience guy than Gary. Becky made sure that appointments were met in a timely fashion Gary went over and beyond our expectations. He saved the day by pulling out our air-handler and install a furnace so our generator would work properly. And, stored our air-handler to sell later to a loving home. That eventually happened and they sent us a check. I would not let anyone else work on our system. Exceptional company... good folks. Carolyn & Fred
I have been using Tomball Mechanical for years. Becky and Gary Duke are the owners. Calls are returned in a timely fashion! They are trustworthy, efficient and reasonably priced. They’re the only company I will use.
We had our air conditioner replaced and the service and professionalism of everyone associated with Tomball Mechanical was outstanding. I enthusiastically recommend and endorse them.
I was referred to Tomball Mechanical by a friend who has been using their service for a long time. They are quick, honest and very reasonable with their prices.I am a recent widow and Becky was so kind to help me. Gary arrived the same day my A/C went out and did a complete exam on it. He said the Terminal was blown and it could not be fixed. My home warranty company assigned an A/C company to check it out and they never called on the day it went out nor did they call anytime after that.I gave permission for Tomball Mechanical to complete the work and they came back on Monday morning and were done by 1pm.This company is totally excellent to work with, they are not like other companies that give you the shuffle and charge more than needed. They are very upright and honest.C. It’s rare to find a service provider of this quality. Becky handles the scheduling seamlessly and Gary is always on time, never attempts to upsell, and is one of only a few service providers I trust completely. Have utilized their service for years. A few years back on July 4th my elderly neighbor lost a/c service. Gary came out that day and fixed the issue. They are the best in the biz.
Had a great experience working with Becky and her husband. Very professional and honest. Fair price and will definitely use them again. If you are looking for honest and quick this is your company.
We have started using them for our heater and A/C needs just this past year. On the coldest day of the year, our heater went out. They came within 2 hours, ran diagnostics and determined it was a dirty vacuum line. He cleaned it out and had my unit running 10 minutes later. All he charged was the service fee of $87. He could have easily made up something and charged a whole lot more. Our second experience was today our outside A/C would not run. Called them at 10 pm at night and they came by 10 am the next morning. Determined it was a bad capacitor and had me cooling the house again in 10 minutes. Total charge for parts and labor was $87. Again could have easily gouged me for something I didnt need and I wouldnt have known the difference. Will definitely call them again for future service. Most other folks in our neighborhood use them as well and have given them good references. That is how we found out about them.
I purchased a home in September 2013 and the AC went out in October. I contacted Tomball Mechanical because they were who the previous homeowner had used to install the new system. They came out and told me what the issue was and then macgyvered it so it would cool until they could order a new part. We didnt hear back from them.Luckily it was cooling down and we didnt have the AC on. When it started to get warm again in March (I think March), we contacted them again to let them know it was STILL broken. Gary came out soon after to fix it only to tell me they still had not ordered the part they told me they needed. He said he knew it was still broken but wanted to wait until it got warmer to fix it. He then did something to fix it in the meantime, and went on his merry way. I was contacted my Becky (Im guessing the receptionist or manager) via text (never called) and was told when her crew could be here to install the coil a few weeks after Gary had come out. I have the same set schedule every day, I get off at 2pm and am home by 2:30...3pm at the latest. I had contacted them once and told them I had to work late and was informed they had a job after and could not longer come to my house, no problem, I was the one that had to reschedule. I didnt hear back from them for weeks. I was then told they could be at my house at 3pm to fix the issue and it would take an hour and a half. By 3:40 I contacted Becky asking where they were and she said they would arrive at 4pm, an hour late. I had to cancel because I had a doctors appointment at 5pm.I have tried to contact her twice to see when she could set up for her crew to come fix this issue stemming back from OCTOBER and she told me they would not help me. Apparently my labor warranty had run out before I had even purchased the house, which no one had told me. I would have gladly paid for labor if I was informed, but once again, was not.She then texted me telling me that my schedule is not flexible (even though I have mondays off and am home every other by 3pm) and that being an hour behind schedule is not bad. Not only that, but then told me the PRIVATE health details of one of her clients so that I would not be upset when they were an hour late. I told her it was none of my business who her clients were or what they were personally going through, but apparently she thinks that is public knowledge.I will never use them ever again and will make sure no one I know ever uses them. I would have been more than happy to pay for labor, but was not told I had to. The issue with my AC should have been fixed back in October when it first broke, but for some reason was not. This should not still be going on 8 months later. Please learn from my mistake and never use them. Find someone else who will value your time and not tell other clients the details of your personal health.
I had a similar negative experience to one of the reviewers on here. My issue hasnt been ongoing for months, but it has been a week. A service tech came out to the house, improperly diagnosed the problem and we keep getting rescheduled. Once due to a scheduling miscommunication and now we have not heard back from anyone at Tomball Mechanical for several days. My experience can be summed up as follows: paid for a service call, issue was improperly diagnosed and we have been completely ignored since. I guess once you pay the service fee, they dont care to actually return to properly do their job. Lesson learned, there are lots of A/C techs/mechanics in the area. I will be using someone, ANYONE, else in the future. My suggestion would be to avoid them if you have other options.
Gary Duke at Tomball Mechanical has saved us on many occasions. Probably the most honest HVAC guy out there. In our neighborhood of about 4000 homes, when someone on the neighborhood Facebook page asks about an air conditioning repair service, about 90% of the responses come back for Tomball Mechanical.
They were great when my parents needed a new unit, very fair prices, and honest.
The way service should be. Gary and Becky are fantastic
Their customer service is excellent, knowledgable and would highly recommend their service. Thank you!
Excellent, excellent, excellent. That’s all.
