A degree above has been great. We lost our unit and all belongings in our house to a flash flood. When we called them they reaponded and had our unit installed in time for us to move back in after repairs. They also serviced our hvac when needed since. Very nice people, id highly recommend them. I called on a Saturday afternoon with a sudden problem and a guest in the house for the weekend with no contingency plan. I needed to get the A/C fixed fast!Aaron came out in less than an hour, called me with the diagnosis (a refrigerant leak), and told me the timeline to get things operational again. In addition, he communicated to the guests, calmed them down, and got to work. That was a hugely helpful part of the process since I was not available to show up and keep the guests calm while the house was hot.These folks worked with me on the price afterwards to get it right, and were easy to deal with. I cant recommend them high enough. Tara, Aaron, and their team are great to deal with.

Our A/C quit working late tonight and I called. They said give them up to 45 min and they would be here. I was just glad they could be here tonight. We have 2 babies and our house was 92 degrees! Within 15 minutes Aaron arrived!!! He checked the unit and found the problem. He had it fixed within 20 minutes! The price was reasonable and they were amazing on the timing. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!

I called yesterday and service technician showed up this morning. Trayden was amazing! He showed up on time and very professional. He explained what was wrong and gave some valuable advice. Will definitely use them again. Just sad we cant ask for Trayden everytime.

Last summer then repaired my AC unit after another company kept us waiting over a week just to give us an enormous estimate and more wait times. He found a leak and quickly recommended A solution. A part had to be ordered, and I was kept apprised of the progress almost daily. today the work was done! Came out 4 times for the same repair. Everytime they left if wouldnt work again. Left a mess. Kept blaming the thermostat even though we went through 4... Said I was throwing a fit... Well I am now! Used these guys for years until now! Completely rude and have no clue what they are doing! Spent 600 the first trip and another 400 the second. Plus all the thermostats. Complete scam now.

#1 Had our air go down between 6:30 and 7. They had a tech on the scene between 7:30 and 8. We were back up and running by 9. Very impressed by the how the new owner (since Feb 23) is running the place. Will definitely be our go to as needed in the future. Thanks!#2 Our thermostat got fried, called A Degree Above and they were out and had it fixed within a few hours.#3 - 09/21/24 - Condenser stopped working. Thought it was the capacitor. Tech figured out there was a fuse about to blow. Back up and running for just the cost of a service call. Love their techs. Theyve all been great!#4 - 01/05/25-01/06/25 - Heat decided to stop working the day before a cold front with below freezing temps moved in. The tech found that the original installers of the air handler mis-wired some of the heating components and got us back up and running for the cost of service call! These guys rock!Thanks, always!

If I could give negative stars I would. I been with the previous owners for many years till he sold to these people. First they said it was the breaker. Replaced it and was still problems. Called him back and thats when the list started. Then it was the fan. Nope, the cylanoid, nope and then compressor. Oh it would be better if u bought a new unit inside and out. But what he didnt say was that my outside unit didnt match my inside unit, which they would have recognized it upon first inspection. Professional scamers

My house has never been so cool and I Love it. My ducting had to be completely replaced. We just bought the house after the inspector said the ducting was good and that was a lie. Two of the rooms had no air flow at all and the other vents smelled, the vents had rat and cat feces in it along with dead animals. Joe, Preston and Trayden crawled under my dirty home and completely replaced the ducting in a day. They were friendly and professional. They rerouted our duct system to make it more efficient instead of taking the easy route. These guys were awesome and I’d recommend them to everyone

All seemed well & thorough at first. the guy was nice. shortly after my a/c started leaking. he would not return calls or texts, a person in his company stopped responding to text once informed of the situation—which is the biggest issue in all of this. had to pay someone else to address the issue & that professional reports that the lines were blown out in reverse/improperly causing clogging.

It has been so difficult to find good service providers at Cedar Creek Lake. However, A Degree Above is the absolute exception. When our AC started acting up on Friday afternoon, I was able to get a Saturday morning appointment. Joe and Tim arrived on time and were extremely polite, knowledgeable and service oriented. They recalibrated our HVAC and flushed the lines. We had immediate relief in temperature. They also offered some home maintenance tips to keep our system running smoothly over the hot summer. Best of all, the prices are fair and reasonable! I highly recommend call A Degree Above for your lake HVAC needs!

Installed a home surge protector. Price very reasonable, prompt service and also my neighbor! He even put up with me talking at him. Lol. Hes working on a quote for later.

Awesome people. We had them do an inspection on a house we are purchasing. The original invoice did not have very much info on it. I called and asked for the full report asap (in escrow, time crunch). They sent it out quickly and even took the time to speak on the phone in more detail (in the evening). Definitively a great experience so far. If everything works out with the house we will be calling them for future work.

I was not sure my unit was cooling properly. Aaron came out and performed all necessary checks and explained the situation so a lay person could understand. Very professional, skilled and polite.

Courteous and prompt. Our old A/C went out on one of the hottest days of the summer, and Johnsons AC & Heating were here and replaced our old, worn-out system within 48 hours. I than discussed with Johnsons, a number of other long-standing issues with our ducting and return systems. Ive attempted to address these issues with a number of other companies to no avail. They got back to me the next day with a full estimate, and were here the next morning, and corrected all these issues in one day. The crew did an excellent job of cleaning up after the work was complete. I will keep their number handy for any of my future A/C needs.

My first call some man said service call was $80, but I should have saved his name. All other contact they said $115, which is fair. The guys came and they were super. Customer must know that they dont do electrical work on your elec system. Not licensed for that which is fine. I had my little breaker box fixed separately after their visit and their testing and capacitor replacement fit their diagnosis and system worked great after I fixed my part

We have used Ed Johnson’s A/C & Heating services for the last 13 years so when our heat stopped working during this last freeze we called them. We were hesitant because it’s under new ownership but are EXTREMELY impressed with the new owners Brenner and Whitney! We have an old system and it was very temperamental and gave the guys a run for their money but Jeff and Jeremy stayed focused and patient until they were able to figure it out. This fix was a back and forth for a full week so any frustration would have been understood but they remained professional and consistent the entire time. If you are ever in need of HVAC maintenance or repair I’m telling you Ed Johnson’s A/C & Heating is the ONLY number to call! Brenner and his team are phenomenal!

We were charged 450.00 for repair. We called on Sunday, they came out nut didnt have the part needed on their truck. Came back on Monday, but had to call back out that evening. Today is Thursday and it quit again. They came out and argued about it but didnt fix it. It is 15 degrees and we have no heat. Dont use them.

Friendly staff, they sent out a tech fairly quickly. We just needed a small part replaced and he was able to service the ac unit right in the spot. We’ve been using Ed Johnson’s for several years now. And will continue to do so. Highly recommended.

We just moved to a new house and could not for the life of us find where to replace the ac filter. Called in and a nice woman put us on a facetime call with a technician. He found where the filter was in like a minute 😂. So very nice of this business to do that! They could’ve honestly charged us a $100 and sent a tech out. Shows what a good honest business they are. Will be using them in the future for sure.

Had to come back and revise my 5 star. After their original fix, our system stopped working after 2 weeks (we are weekenders, they system wasn’t on at all between the original fix and our return to the house). They were late showing up the 2nd time -- pushed out multiple days. Net/Net - They left our equipment in a dangerous predicament. They didn’t give us options for things that could be done, just said – its fried, nothing can be fixed, need a whole new unit. We had to call another local AC company that charged less half to come out, fix all the original issues as well as the issues left by the first “fix”, made it safe, and talked about all our options.

I appreciate the promptness and professionalism of the company employees that diligently handled the problem with my heating unit. Ill definitely recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

Crisis averted! A/C disaster 10 p.m. July 3. House full of guests to spend the night with many more to come the next day. Not only did Johnsons come at almost 11 p.m. but fixed the problem with a smile and pleasant attitude. Very reasonable price, especially for a holiday/after hours job. Days later all things working fine. So thrilled and will definitely use them again.

I was very displeased with the business side of things. I explained the business aspect of the how funds would be handled (bank to supplier for materials), final balance (contractor (me) to company within a week of work being completed). I received numerous text and calls that were offensive from my lead tech, and owner’s son, (who never introduced himself nor was he dress professionally when meeting a new client) The texts and calls had a very “mob boss” feel to them, wording such as, “where is my money”, “you need to have my money”. Wording as such does not display that the business has been well established for 25+ years. I am contractor who’s doing a remodel with funding from a lender (which I disclosed upfront) and this company still acted as if the entirety of their business hinged on my funds. Inappropriate and unacceptable business practices. I am quite sure the late owner would be very disappointed in how his business is being ran. I wish them well and improvement in their practices but as a contractor I would not use them again unless we were more in agreement upfront. Their pricing is great and the physical service is top notch. However, their business practice is as stated above.

These guys (James) is a crook and will over price you. Get a second or even third quote to see how much he overcharges. He will quote for high efficiency and high quality units but will install lower end equipment or rebadge lower end units w name brand tags. You are warned.

Good experience with Johnson AC. My AC went out they were able to come out on a Saturday afternoon within an hour of contacting them.

AM VERY HAPPY WITH EQUIPMENT EXCEPT CAPISATOR. ONLY THREE YEARS OLD AND IT GOES OUT. I THOUGHT EQUIPMENT WOULD LAST LONGER.

Came and said the unit was not getting electric to it!! Called another company a day later, they changed a fuse and fixed a wire.. told me I needed to clean my condenser and theyd come back out and fix it. Worst experience ever
