Nickelson Heating and Air Conditioning

Contacted Nickelson A/C on Sunday 26 May to check and repair our A/C. The tech arrived and said the control panel needed to be replaced in the future with an estimated cost of $500-$700, but we should be fine during the interim. $250.00 and two hours later the system went out! We called and left multiple messages; to no avail. Moreover, the tech brought down from the attic a bunch of insulation. Talk about disregard for property!Would have taken two minutes to clean up after himself. As of this review, weve yet to hear back. Thankfully, there are better options for A/C service. Choose wisely!Update: Weve heard back from the owner who apologized for the tech; not returning calls, not keeping us informed. He also refunded the $250.00. Were updating our review from one star to three.Thank you sir, for the call.

I have used Nickelson for years. Kelly is awesome and his techs are always friendly and helpful! They will work hard to fix the problem and not just sell a new unit. I will always call Nickelson for my heating and air needs. I recommend them to anybody who asks!

Update: Since being ghosted by Nickelson Heating and Air, I called another HVAC company who properly diagnosed the problem as an incorrect install setting in the thermostat. If Id have gone with Nickelson, wed have replaced a perfectly good motor and would still have had the original problem. Glad that didnt work out. The bottom line is either Nickelson was trying to pull a fast one or they dont know what theyre doing. In either case, they didnt handle it professionally at all. I averted a service disaster and Im reporting it here so you dont have one either.Their initial response and service visit was good, but after telling me the parts were ordered and would be here in two days, they went silent - didnt answer my calls or emails. No explanation, no nothing. This was for a job in the neighborhood of $900. Oddly unprofessional. Ill be hiring someone else to finish what they started.In response to the owner -- I have the right business. The technicians name was Caleb. He was fine, however, when I asked for a bid that broke out parts and labor, I got silence. I had an email exchange with Kelly. She did not itemize the bid. When I asked her to itemize, she went silent. My calls and emails have not been returned. Because I requested an itemized bid, Nickelson Heating and Air is willing to pass on a ~$900 job. I dont know what to say to that other than the job has to go to someone else.

If I could give this company a zero rating i would! they cleaned out my ac on the outside, and changed batteries in my thermostat charged me some $$$ for it and it is actually cooler outside than inside now! my ac freezes up, its 80 degrees in my house with it set to 60 (see pic for proof). they did this yesterday I called them twice today and left vm both times. I have an infant at my house and its ridiculous thank goodness the other grandma lives near so he is in the cool ac. but thats not the point these guys should NOT have a 4.4 rating! will never call them to come again, I will take the loss and call their competitors. 0 star rating from thos house!

I couldnt recommend the service more. They are polite, punctual and praiseworthy. They didnt try to charge me for anything I didnt need. I called them for a repair on my AC unit and they just ended up having to clean the outside of the unit. Refreshingly honest and pleasant service from the technician. Like I said before I recommend them for all your heating and AC needs.

Central heat/air unit went out, Kelly and his crew had a new unit installed the next day. No hassles, good prices and excellent service. Highly recommend this place.

Great Service! Called for service around 4:00 and phone call was returned in 30 minutes and service was scheduled for first appointment next morning. Gavin was courteous, professional and thorough. Did a great job.

If there was a 10 star review option they would get all 10! This is the second time weve used Nickelson and they have earned our business for life! We recently moved and had a problem with our new Ac unit. We had another company come out just a week before that only temporarily fixed the problem. When the system went out again we called Nickelson. They were able to send someone out immediately. Gavin was our tech this time and did an amazing job. He was so professional, polite and respectful and took the time to share some AC knowledge with me. By far the most honest and trustworthy AC company Ive ever used.

Kelly and his crew are AMAZING!!!!!! I highly recommend for their fast response if there is an issue and quick at problem solving. 3 years ago Kelly came to my home at Midnight on a Saturday and got our ac up and running. Recently our hvac system went out completely and within 24 hours had a new system install and running. This company is one of the few left that believes customer service is the key to sucess.

Minnie MorganI would give him no star if possible. His company is very untrustworthy and lying bags of rotten poopoo! They came to fix my Dads unit. My Dad paid them. He called to have them come back out to fix their mess up. On that trip they wired it wrong and burned the motor. The man admitted to boss and supply warehouse that it should have been wired two phase instead of 3 phase. Because my Dad wouldnt give him enough money for the new motor which was $300. He destroyed the heat collector box in the attic by foot. My Dad did pay him $60 that he actually didnt owe them a dime!!!

Just had a service call today, they were here in less than 1 hour, were able to identify the issue in no time and resolve it! I have nice cold air again, amen! I recommend them to everyone, they are amazing.

The quote was given to me on Thursday On Monday the crew showed up at 12:30 and began work By 2:30 they had completely removed my old central unit and replaced it with a brand new one They were professional, quick and competent. My Ac went out in the middle of the night I called them as soon as they opened they were out two hours later and fixed my ac on a very hot day!! They were very professional and courteous! Ac is blowing cold my kids and I are very happy! I would highly recommend Nickelson HVAC to anyone needing quality professional HVAC service! Great price. All the bad reviews are from the previous owner of the company. The new guy is great. He was half the price of the other bid, and much more professional. They have my business from here on out.

Best company around Cedar Creek Lake. Always fast to come out and go above and beyond. AC went out with two young kids and they bought a part before my warrantied one came in to ensure my kids didn’t get too hot. Thank you!

The technician was not very knowledgeable. I was interested in some features specifically, which he had no clue. I live full time in Dallas, and it like a whole different world when I come to the lake to get work done on my lake home. I was interested in WiFi compatible Thermostats, Mold prevention, ECT. Do your research before calling one of these small companies.

Nickelson heat and air is the best AC company on the cedar creek lake area. They work hard, and help alot of people. They show up on time and do what it takes to get the job done. These are the people you want working on your equipment.

This is a competent, trustworthy company!! They could have charged us an after hours fee but didnt....they provided over the phone support to get us through the night and came out on regular hours the next day!

It was great....they came...did the work...and were gone.....very nice and friendly...I will never call anyone else....its ice cold....whoooo whoooo

They didnt show or call till very late. They said tomorrow. When I asked morning or afternoon he said hed have to call me back. Didnt. I overpaid for a service that didnt do what it should have.

Charged me $325 for less than ten minutes of work and didnt fix the problem. These guys are crooks that prey on weekenders at the lake.
