I cant say enough great things about my service from Ferraras. We had our duct system with 19 vents replaced. They were clean, efficient, and came it at almost half the price of three other local bids. They even came back to vacuum out three vents that ended up with insulation in them. We will absolutely be working with them in the future.
A routine seasonal service call revealed that our 14-year-old unit had lost all of its refrigerant. Spring was quickly turning to summer, so there were only a few days for technicians to install a new unit for us just before the temperatures hit 90 degrees. We had also just installed new carpeting in our home, and I was concerned about them tracking all that equipment through our house and into the attic. I need not have worried. The installers covered all of the flooring and left everything spotless! They were all punctual, efficient, and polite. We will continue to useFerraras services and recommend them to others.
Ive been a Ferraras customer for over twenty years but recently had to upgrade a system. I contacted Ferraras office, explained my problem, we discussed my options, and they responded as expected. They provided me with pricing and warranty options, made suggestions and today came out and installed a new heat pump two stage system. They called at 8:00 am, to tell us they were on the way, arrived within the following forty minutes and started. Three very prompt and pleasant installers/service techs who didnt waste time and the job was totally finished before noon, including clean up and instructions on the systems operation. Couldn’t be happier! I live in Nacogdoches so my dealings were with the Nacogdoches branch (Bob Ecker was sales rep). Very pleasant experience all around! Bob quoted a fair price for install of completely new system. From initial quote to final install Ferrara’s was timely, on schedule, and very responsive with my inquiries. Installers were very professional and great to deal with and did a beautiful job installing our Trane 5 ton Variable Speed unit. They replaced an old Trane system that lasted 18 years! Have a older home with a complete unit outside the house. Over the years the design of the air ducts have changed but Jason found a unit that almost dropped right in. Other companies said that a all available were units with duct work 90 degrees to mine and would require a larger duct work to connect meaning I would have needed concrete work.They gave me a great price so I went themThe two men who installed the unit were polite and did a professional job as you can see by the pictures. Just wish I had snapped a pic or two of the duct work between the unit and house...trust me it looked good.

On July 28th 2024 my A.C. stopped working. So I made the call. And within two hours employee JOE showed up. He professionally diagnosed that my thermostat wire had a short. JOE had to crawl under my home to reroute the wire. Ferara are very fortunate to find an employee like JOE. Did I mention this was a Sunday. Arrived at my grandfather’s house Monday to find the AC Unit not working and my mom called McWilliams and Sons. They quickly sold her a yearly service subscription and sent a young man out to repair it. After a short while he decided the unit needs a $500 control board to fix the problem. I called my AC company Ferrara’s and asked for Mike. Mike came straight over and found there was no problems with the ac and all it was is the main drain was blocked and the back up drain has a float shut off that if the pan gets full of water will shut down the unit to prevent flooding the house. He cleared the main drain and emptied the back up pan. This allowing the ac unit to kick on and do it’s job. McWilliams was sending out a man to quote him a new ac unit. Mike saved my grandfather several hundred dollars today and possibly $6,000 if McWilliams would have tried to sell a new ac unit to him. The elderly can be taking advantage of more easily then the younger crowd. If you have ac problems best to call Ferrara’s Heating & Air then mess with any of the other ac company’s in town.
I recently experienced issues with my home A/C unit, where it had begun freezing over the coils. While I managed to intermittently run the A/C as a stop-gap measure, it was clear that a professional diagnosis was necessary. I was able to schedule an appointment with Ferrera (I was formerly with Pax-Sun) for the next afternoon. Garrett, the technician, called on his way and arrived promptly as expected. He listened carefully to the issues I was experiencing and acknowledged the steps I had already taken to mitigate the problem. Garrett quickly and efficiently narrowed down the root cause of the freezing coils.Garrett’s extensive knowledge and professionalism were evident throughout the visit. He addressed all my questions thoroughly and ensured I understood the situation and the available solutions. The first time Ive been disappointed with Fererras. Ive always enjoyed the fair prices and have bragged on these guys for being one of the few honest companies in the a/c business.Jimmy quoted $300-350 to blow out 1 line and put a float ($15 part) on another. Literally took an hour to do both and I was charged $464.Jimmy said prices have increased. Oh well, as the old song goes... another one bites the dust.

Our air conditioner stopped working at around 8:30pm on Thursday. I initially tried to schedule with a different company but they wouldn’t be available to come and give us a diagnosis until Monday. It’s 102 degrees in the daytime; we could not wait that long. I called Ferrera’s and got in touch with a tech right away. He offered to come out at around 9:00pm the same night. I didn’t want him to have to do that so I scheduled the repair visit for the next morning. The tech, Jimmy was so friendly and walked me through the issues with the AC unit. He was able to fix the issues during his visit and I didn’t have to wait for any parts to come in or reschedule. The AC is running again and I am a very satisfied customer!

Called for a $79. tune up inspection... After clearing up past bill I was told it would be $88 service call then $80. inspection fee...So I inform the person on the phone I would call someone else with $79. SPECIAL ( which most have). So needless to say you lost a customer...
We just had a new AC/heat pump unit and air handler installed and we are more than satisfied. The new unit has proven to be very quiet and efficient. Sydney and Bryant installed the system and I must say it was one of the cleanest jobs Ive seen. They took great care both inside and outside when they removed the old units and installed the new ones. Nothing was damaged or dirty when they left. My flowerbeds looked undisturbed and so did my flooring and walls. That might seem like a small thing, but that kind of work and consideration is truly appreciated. This company saved me!!!! I have been a monthly member with a competing A/C & heating company in Lufkin, and every time they came out to repair my old unit, they would always try to sell me a new one instead of just fixing my problem. Not Ferraras. They listened to me when I said I couldnt afford a new unit and fixed my broke fan motor with no problems. They came out the same day during one of the hottest days this summer and had the part on hand without having to order it. They have won me over. Im now a monthly member with Ferraras instead, and when Im ready to buy a whole new unit, they will be the ones I call.

Jorge Escamilla was very professional, he called before leaving his shop. We were able to do a little troubleshooting over the phone and he brought some parts to reduce the possibility of running back to the shop which would have been a 80+ mile round trip. At the house he wasted no time and was very informative on what he found, how he repaired it and what the cause might have been. Will definitely use Ferraras next time.
This is the second time I’ve used Ferrara’s after purchasing the system. If I’d got the yearly schedule checkups, then Ferrara’s might have caught this issue earlier. I had the same technician a second time. Taylor was knowledgeable and efficient at diagnosing the issue. O-ring on the Schrader valve was the issue.

I used Ferrara’s a couple of months ago when my condenser pan was overflowing. They responded to my call immediately and came out the next day. The price was more than fair. I called them again for an estimate to replace my entire HVAC system. Bob came out the next day and gave me an estimate much less than I had expected and planned which allowed me to actually upgrade the system. He came out on a Monday and everything was replaced by Wednesday afternoon. They’re very conscientious & respectful & it made that huge purchase price (although it was lower than expected) much more palatable. From now on, I will only use Ferrara’s.

We had a whole new heating and air-conditioning system installed. The install crew showed up promptly on time, I went right to work. All crew members, John, Sid, Connor, and Luke were all very professional, and polite.They had the new system installed and the old system cleaned up and packed up and ready to leave in less than 4 1/2 hours. They went through all the major components and a small bit of troubleshooting if there was any issues in the future.

I have used Bob Ecker and his guys for a long time. Butch and Kenny know my system and have taken good care of me. I decided to have two mini split ductless units installed upstairs. Bob gave me an excellent price on some quality Trane Mitsubishi 9000 BTU units. He installed them just when he said he would . He watched carefully over the process and answered all my questions. Taylor and Ben did my install and I was very pleased.I would recommend Bob to all my friends. He is reliable and trustworthy.
Tyler and Joel were both incredibly helpful, knowledgable, and all around a god send. The response was better than I could have ever hoped for. Within the first 20 minutes the problem was identified and fixed, all at a much cheaper price than I expected. Replacing the part and recharging my A.C. unit took less than an hour. Without their very professional and expedient help I would still be dealing with indoor temps in the 90s, but now after their expert repair my house is cooling quickly to a nice brisk 72. I have called 4x and never get a call back as promised. The one person bob ecker who promised and reassured me from the beginning that his guys would put everything back in place where it was originally was a complete lie. Now there is property damage which was exactly why I called when his guys were here to prevent this exact issue and now getting a return phone call from bob ecker is a joke. I would NEVER recommend this company as they are only about the money not the customer.

Called to make appointment as the upstairs unit had quit cooling. Got a call back within an hour and scheduled for next morning to come out. Brandon showed up timely, diagnosed the problem and offered a few options for resolution. Great experience and great follow up as Brandon called a couple of times after the repair to ensure all was going well. Will definitely use them again.
Tyler Bruton was our technician for the most recent repair…..he came quickly, within 30 minutes of our call, even though it was late Friday afternoon! Although he was unable to determine what the problem was, he stayed on the phone attempting to contact the Manufacturer & also support from Ferraras. He was very thorough, and called me numerous times to report what he’d found & what the service plan would be so I was kept well-informed throughout every step of the process.We have rental properties & Tyler treated our renter as though she owned the home, calling her to confirm his arrival & sending a picture & background of himself! This takes stress off my renters—which is important to us!This year I have replaced 2 HVAC units and had 3 other service calls due to a fault in the unit at another home. Ferraras has given exceptional service & repair and have been fair with their costs. This helped the financial “HIT” not to hurt so bad! They were patient with all my questions and assured me they would be available & supportive they have been! They have always been pleasant & helpful when we have requests & we really appreciate that!Ferraras & Tyler gets 5 star rating from me!
Our problem occurred late Saturday afternoon. Our repairman Chris arrived in under an hour and got us going. The problem reoccurred overnight and he returned early Sunday morning with a loaner condensation pump until the warranted pump could be replaced Monday morning. He was courteous, responsive to our problem and worked efficiently to correct the problem.
Friendly, courteous, efficient, and knowledgeable. Quick response when having trouble. Butch always helpful, goes the “extra mile” to make sure everything working! Highly recommend! Even worked after dark to make sure we had AC during extreme East Texas Heat in August!
Now I know why Ferraras Heating & Air Conditioning was voted best in Lufkin. They have Great people like Zach who is one of their technicians who came out and after listening to my issues was able to conclude what the problem was and fixed it. All within an 1 1/2 hours. The Price was right too. Recommend very highly.

We were having trouble with our A/C getting the house cooled so I called at 7:45 in the morning and they told me it would be before lunch when someone would be able to come. I got a call 30 minutes later saying theyre on their way. Tyler was professional and helpful when it came to explaining things we had no clue about. I called Home Sheild to repair my AC. The company they sent to my home remove a piece from my inside unit and told me that I needed to replace both, the outside and the inside unit. My cost for the freon alone would be a $1000.00... the AC unit without labor cost will be $7000.00. I am old and not working, so I could not get my AC repaired. I called another company and they would not touch the unit because the company before had removed a part and let all the freon out.My, nephew called Ferraras Heating &Air. and they came in and d Id a great job at a great price. Thus was not lets take advantage of the old lady. They dud what was right and repaired my AC at a fair price. Thanks very much for a great 👍 job!!!!!

Gerardo Zuniga and Bryan Stevens (Professional HVAC Installers) and Michael Insenberg (Residential Service Manager) were all so Amazing!!! They replaced the entire system! The Outside and inside units, and all of the duct work. And they also installed a Halo LED filtering and air cleaning system! All in one day!! They were all very professional, And they knew their stuff! It was a very pleasant service experience! We will use them from now on! I cannot say enough about Gerardo and Bryan! Used Ferrara’s 2x this year. Once to repair our heater that stopped in the middle of a cold spell. And the latest was a routine service of the AC system. Tyler was the tech on both, and both times Tyler was communicative and eager to help with any questions. More importantly, tyler and ferrara’s fixed all issues at reasonable rates! Once a service call is booked, their system auto sends appt reminders that also share the name and a photo of the tech with ETA updates (ie: on their way). Definitely super helpful considering most of us can not sit around all day waiting for a service call. Highly recommend!

AC units weren’t working and Called them last night and Gary called back right away. Other companies I called still haven’t returned my calls. Told me he could be by the next morning. He showed up on time first thing in the morning and even texted to let me know he was on his way. Once Gary got there he was professional, courteous and explained everything to me in a detailed way but didn’t talk down to me like some service people do because you don’t know what is wrong. He explained everything, showedme what was wrong and had the repairs done in all less than 30 minutes. Even took the time to check in furnaces in the basement. Also instead of just telling me to spray off the cottonwoods from AC units he took the hose and did it himself. He went above and beyond and I highly recommend Ferrara AC to anyone needing HVAC repairs.

5.20.2020I recently had the very good fortune to have Ferraras Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. recommended to me by a good friend, for servicing our 10,000 sq. ft. medical practice, surgery center and optical dispensary, in Nacogdoches, Texas, and I could not be more pleased to have taken their advice.Our building was built in 1994 and incorporates a hydronic HVAC system, that consists of nine a/c units, varying in size from three to ten tons, as well as a furnace/boiler system to heat the building. We have been using the company that originally installed the system, but unfortunately they have changed hands in approximately the last five, or so, and sadly lost many of their long time experienced technicians, which has caused their service to suffer severely.When I contacted Ferraras Heating & Air Conditioning Inc., I was immediately put in touch with John Marshall, who turned out to be a service manager with more than 30 years of tenure with the company. He came over the next morning and immediately trouble shot my problems, and had us up and running quickly. They have subsequently serviced and changed out a 10 ton units motor, on an emergency situation. These guys are truly excellent.I might also add that the owner, Brannon Ferrara has made the effort to come to our practice twice and get involved with our situation and to give us a reasonable proposal, to update our systems. He obviously knows the ins and outs of a system like ours very well. I finally have some piece of mind that I am in good hands, with some real pros. It was about 4pm on July 4th, my AC stopped blowing cold. I must mention we just moved to lufkin 4 days ago...I called, thinking I would not be able to get a service tech out today, but Tyler answered the call, he informed me he was at another location and would be here next. He called to inform me he was on his was and would be there in about 40 minutes. When he arrived, he found that my Float Switch had malfuntioned and would not reset. He quickly installed a new switch and when I heard the outside motor come on it was music to my ears...my wife was so happy when she felt that cold air kick on.
