Our family is really disappointed with the team at Roten Homes. The one year warranty is a joke if the builder doesn’t correct the deficiencies. We have owned the home for 9 months with little progress made to repairs. We hired a foundation company to track movement due to MANY cracked bricks and cracked mortar. The vinyl plank flooring is popping up in over a dozen spots. The shower drain looks like “the new guy” didn’t know how to cut a square and it is not acting as a proper moisture barrier. Much of our cabinetry was either damaged or is missing paint. Plus there is not sufficient grading to allow for drainage on both sides of the property. A brand new home should not be a fixer-upper burden for the consumer. The pictures speak for themselves. Buyer beware.

I had a great experience building with Roten Homes, Inc. Julie made the process fun and enjoyable even though it was stressful at times - they went out of their way to ensure the completion of my home in the time that I needed to the best of their abilities. There were minimal issues at the orientation and walk through; the two things that were pointed out to Roten Homes were fixed by the time I even made it back over from closing on the home the same day. Great process, quality, staff and Julie is absolutely amazing.

As hard as it is to write this review I want to help other prospective first time home buyers. I did a lot of research before deciding to go with Roten Homes. I chose them because of all the great reviews. I was SO exited about my home but sadly I am so disappointed in Roten. First, my plumbing was not hooked up to the city line (absolute nightmare). This resulted in almost my entire back yard being dug up. They did replace the sod after many emails but it is terribly uneven and dead in places. I was told this was my fault because I wasn’t maintaining it well. Ok, do I hired a yard guy to take care of the yard. NOW with all the rain there is a sink hole in my yard where the grass is caving in. It looks awful and they won’t fix it- they just blamed me. I had a sink that wasn’t sealed properly and leaked which has damaged my cabinets. Took months to get fixed. I have noticed cracks in my brick as well. Some of the cracks were clearly patched up in a quick attempt to fix the issue but I am very worried about foundation issues later on. And no reply from roten. My garage door has had issues as well and currently won’t close at all. This is all the first year. I can’t imagine what kind of costs I will incur after my warranty is up. I honestly feel very taken advantage of. So please be very cautious using this business. Have someone with you who knows construction because I don’t. I just trusted them. Biggest mistake of my life. AND this is all after they charged us another 20k half way through the home being build for “supply costs”. So the home ended up costing way more than I originally agreed to. So disappointing.

I would highly recommend Roten Homes to anyone considering a custom home build. Julie was great when we selected our home, selecting features and keeping us informed along the way. Brad Roten is a pleasure to deal with and is a man of his word. He is the real deal and walks the walk regarding his finished product or any needed follow-up. We love our Roten Home! We have lived in our home over 3 years. The love and compassion and heart that the Roten put in to building a homes from the ground up is like no other that i have ever seen in my 15 years of being in new home sales. Me and Freddie, Thank you with all of our hearts. We want to say a prayer to bless each and everyone of you on your searching for a new home and you buying your dream home. We pray that you feel as blessed as we have in our home.

I have known the Roten family on a personal and business level for almost a decade now. I would trust any and all home building endeavors that i would have planned in my future with Roten Homes, Brad and his team are over and above on all they do, and they can fit the needs of those building with a very set budget or set the limit towards the sky and land right where you need them to be!!! Give them a call if your looking to custom build or looking for a ready to move in property today! You will not be disappointed!!

Amazing experience just having a conversation with Julie ! super willing to help even though their company was more than what we were looking for. She was extremely professional and offered other contacts to connect with. Just by talking to her I wanted to share this with others of the type of people you might meet at this company.

I love my home. But they installed dead grass. We told Mr. Roten the grass was dead on the walk thru. He said it was just dormant from the winter. The grass is not under the warranty. And comes up in strips. Unless you have the extra money for a land scalper always ask for green grass.Came home today. They cleared all the dead grass and leveled the yard. YEAH. So happy. And I got all new grass. But while they replaced the grass the tractor thing cracked the side walk and again Im told its not under warranty. If I buy a new home, i want everything perfect

For as long as I can remember (35 plus years) my family and I have lived in a homes built by Roten Homes. They are a great builder, team and family.

I am very happy with my Roten Home. I thought the home was well built and it has not given me any problems. They make a nice home for a good price.

Everyone here is awesome. Julie is quick to respond and always ready to answer questions. The owner and son are both awesome. Very personable and willing to work with you.Wonderful homes and wonderful business
