We had gotten 5 estimates to replace our AC and Michael at BTAC came out the cheapest! They got us scheduled within a few days to replace it and not only that Jesse and Kaylon were amazing and got it installed quickly!

I’ve also never left a review but this was bad enough I’m going to. It was a 5 month process from start to finish… they never finished. In 5 months they came 3 times to try and finish the outside duct work.. I finally just told them to leave and not to come back again. I had to just hire another company to come finish their job because BTAC just couldn’t do it.

I am so thankful for BTAC and the guys they sent out to repair a major hot and cold water leak under our slab. They knew what they were doing, and were very professional and polite, and I might add compassionate. They are an asset to the company!

Jesse and Kaylon and his crew were awesome. They made sure everything was done correctly and patiently made sure the equipment worked. They were also very respectful.

I have never left a review on anything in my life but this is just not fair. My parents work very hard for their money for these huge companies to just keep taking like its nothing.We are a restaurant business here in Lubbock that has paid them more the $16,000 (we have receipts) for them to fix our vent hood at one of our location and they have fixed NOTHING. They replaced 2 fans and did some work on a cover and fixed nothing. The heat inside the kitchen is unbearable in the summer. The vent hood sucks nothing up not even a piece of paper. They put the blame on us for not maintaining it even though we are in rotation to maintain every 2-3 months (which is the recommended maintenance). We hired a certified vent hood CLEANING company and they have shown more knowledge of what could be the problem then they.The problem remains and now they are blaming it on the AC unit (which is new). We have been dealing with this for more the 2 years, have called BTAC multiple times and they always send someone that has no idea of what the problem is go up there to fix something charge $200 per hour for the problem to remain. I chose to call this company because they were the best in town and we didnt mind paying as long as it got fixed, worst mistake ever. At this point we could of just bought a whole new system.

We had a great experience with Bruce Thornton AC. Luis was an amazing technician, and took care of everything promptly. He even came back the next day and took care of another little issue for no extra charge. I would recommend this company to anyone having AC issues in the Lubbock area!

Horrible experience!!!They placed my AC unit ON THE WALL OF BUILDING. We are located in a low income demographic and the unit was being tampered with and about to be stolen. I RELOCATED it to the roof where it should have been placed LIKE EVERY OTHER BUSINESS IN THE AREA. A Bruce Thornton tech was called to service the unit and said HE WOULD NEVER PLACE HIS UNIT ON THE WALL ACCESSIBLE TO THEFT IN THIS AREA. Mind boggling but the initial install tech did it BECAUSE IT WAS EASIER FOR BRUCE THORNTON.Then they told me the unit is no longer warrantied and charged me more to fix their own mistake.Stay away from Bruce Thornton Air!!! They DON’T care about people and results. They only care about MONEY!!!

Joe Olgin came to my house and serviced my AC. He was very courteous, thorough, and informative. I highly recommend both BTAC and Joe!

To the credit of BTAC and its management, I had a frustrating experience with them on a call out for a problem with a blower motor. I made my opinion known and contacted them through email to express it. They responded, sent out new technicians and made it right. That doesnt happen very often these days, and its good to see a company show it cares about that.If you call these folks to come out, and your experience is what you expected, let them know, theyll work with you. 👍

Shout out to Louis the technician who installed the new thermostat for us! Very professional, trouble shot the system to determine if a new thermostat was needed, installed very quickly, then checked system to make sure we had no other issues (fault codes).I know this is a simple job for good technicians, but I like to recognize the good work when it’s done right.Highly recommend BTAC.

Great Customer Service from start to finish. From getting pre approved by Brian which he was great and helpful in making the process smooth he took care of me throughout. Then on the day of installation showed up 20 minutes early which was a plus. The gentleman that did the installation were fantastic and knowledgeable and helpful and very friendly. Ivan, Michael, Esai, and Gabriel were great. Ivan was awesome he worked very hard and got the job done. They were all great thanks for everything! I highly recommend them!

They were very quick to get someone over which I greatly appreciated, however; the technician came and left without fixing our heater issue. They wanted to charge us the full amount to come back again. I had high hopes with all the great reviews.

Had to call on a Saturday for after hour service. Robby with BTAC contacted us quickly and was at our home shortly there after. He was very professional and quite pleasant. He had the issue fixed within an hour of me calling. We are very pleased with the work and will definitely being using them in the future. Their after hour cost is a little higher (very little) than some other companies we called in town, but well worth it for the service you receive, the professionalism of their employees and the time you will save.

BTAC is the BEST!! Tech service guys are professional, polite and respectful. They do an amazing job. And they clean up after themselves. So very glad they are our A/C and plumbing people.

It has been a headache from the first phone call and misinformation from the beginning. Then they tellYou something and call you back the day of service with completely different info then what you were given t o begin with and hey redial to correct the issue without you being the one held liable or paying for their SCREW UP!!!! This is a horrible company I would not recommend them at all and this was my first service and will never use again. However Mike is awesome!

We had a leaking water pipe in our laundry room wall. I called them during their normal business hours at 730AM, they said someone would be out that afternoon. They called back in 30 minutes at 8AM and had everything repaired and completed by 1030AM. Great work, as always! We are happy to use BTAC for our plumbing needs!

Had a great experience with BTAC as a first time customer. We needed a leak repaired and quickly because we could not get the shutoff valve turned off so we had to turn off the main. They were able to come the same day and get us set up. Was a little surprised by the cost, but plumbing is usually not cheap.

I found that my water heater was leaking on Friday night about 7:00 pm. I called BTAC, and Jeremy, the on call plumber, called me back and headed to my house as soon as he finished the call he was on. He was so kind and professional and replaced my water heater right away, making sure I was up and running before he left. He did a great job and even cleaned up after himself. I was so grateful.

Just wow!!! I work at the hospital and they came out and did a free evaluation of my AC unit, inside and out. We had been told before by other companies that the whole unit needed replacing but a great technician from Bruce Thornton AC told us we just needed to replace the capacitor! $130 instead of 5k! So worth having them out here to take a look. The technician also rewired something in my AC unit inside (sorry I don’t know technical words for AC units lol) that makes it turn on faster (a couple seconds versus a few minutes). I was very grateful for the very professional service I received, both on the phone with the lady who I made my appointment with, and the technician who really saved me a buck! They didn’t try to up sell me on something I didn’t need, they just let me know what I needed to keep my AC running. I highly recommend using them for your AC needs especially with summer coming up!

Thanks to Luis for prompt, courteous & kind service. He was able to quickly and efficiently identify the problem with my heater. He had the part available on site and was able to get my heater up and running again in no time! Also provided me with a good summary of the job that was completed and good recommendations to keep my heating system running better.

This company understands customer service. The technicians are professional and respectful. They are knowledgeable and willing to explain anything that may cause a concern. The response time for major work is impressive and they completed the job quickly and efficiently. I would highly BTAC for any AC or plumbing work. You may find cheaper, but I doubt you will find better, and you will not get the same peace of mind.

Im new to the Lubbock area and Bruce Thornton Air Conditioning was the first company we called. They had someone at our house to help in an hour and the service man had our AC fixed in 30 minutes. Their customer service was great from the receptionist who answered the phone to the hvac professional who fixed our AC!

Fast & friendly! I’m so happy with BTAC. They were able to come fix my heater the same day I called with my problem. The technician was totally upfront with me about the motor issue and fixed everything up within a couple of hours.

BTAC responded quickly to my call for help with my home air conditioner. The two service technicians, Jonathon and Matt, were very friendly and professional. They worked quickly to repair our system and thoroughly explained the details to me. They did a great job!

My A/C wasnt cooling like it should and the unit wouldnt cycle. I have used BTAC for several years now and would highly recommend them They have done both A/C and Plumbing for me. David was here today and did a great job! So far, everyone that has been to my house knew what they were doing and got the job done.

We discovered our hot water heater was leaking over the weekend and called the after hour number. We received a call before 9:30am on Monday asking about our problem. Shane and Frank were at our house Tuesday morning and had a new hot water heater installed and left our garage neat and clean before 11:00am. I cannot say enough about the experience. Water pipes in well house froze during the recent snow storm. Had BTAC install a new water heater last year and was happy with their work. So, decided to call again. Excellent service, very knowledgeable and friendly tech also. Very satisfied.

We called BTAC and they scheduled their service tech, Raul Martinez, who arrived WHEN HE SAID HE WOULD and worked on the frosty morning to test the system.When he finished, he came to the door, we paid with a credit card and got our receipt by email immediately. We cannot thank Frank and his crew enough for taking care of us today. We had been without gas for 6 days waiting to have a new line installed. We talked to Frank yesterday and they were here at 8:30 this morning. They were available all day until the line was installed, City code officer was here and Atmos turned the gas back on. The two young men that came out to the house to replace my faucet and reseat my toilet where excellent. Very professional and polite. I really appreciate them working late to get me fixed up. I would have loved to give BTAC a higher rating however there were issues associated to the scheduling of my work. I took the day off and had scheduled to have the work done but got a call at 4:30 wanting to see about rescheduling. If I hadn’t scheduled the service before hand, verified at lunch they were coming and taken the day off that might have been ok. However Courtney was very polite and did have the guys come out. Thank you Courtney! The other issue is associated to the fee structure, the fees seems to be high and should be re-evaluated by management at BTA! Again work quality was great but the scheduling and fee structure really need to be evaluated! I hope to use BTAC in the future as long as I don’t have scheduling and fee issues. Thank you! Raul M. and his associate Cisco were called to address a drain line clog. They were very attentive and addressed all of mine and my grandmothers concerns. Additionally, we made the call and they were on their way out here within the hour. Between the customer service and ability to make repairs, we are highly satisfied. We had a hot water line slab leak in our home, which BTAC located, and corrected in an amazingly efficient, effective, and professional manner. In all phases from assessment, plan proposal, execution, to cleanup these guys did a great job of getting our problem resolved. Luis was great! He took his time to thoroughly explain to me the processes and costs of what he was doing. He also politly spoke to my husband over the phone. Robby is the best. He did his best to make the repairs with the new parts Moen sent for our kitchen faucet. When that didn’t work (this is the third time Moen has sent parts in their defense) he patiently waited for us to purchase a new one one and bring it back. He perfectly installed the new one and was a joy to have working here. Thank you Robby! Thank you BTAC!

With the joy if purchasing my first home also came with frustration when I learned my ac unit was bad. So searching for months on a good company who wasnt going to over charge me and take care of my needs, a load was taken off my shoulders when Bruce Thornton made their way out of town to my house and set me up with a remarkable deal and had all the qualities I was looking for. I would definitely be recommending them for all your ac needs.

Excellent service! Oscar, the technician who came to rescue our sink, was fast, courteous, and explained everything he was doing so I’d have some idea how to handle the backup in the future. 10/10, would use again!

Confused how this company has so many stars and yet, we have had nothing issues. Salesman came out and told us how to fix our issues. Suggested some changes in duct work would improve the flow of air to far bedroom and the whole house. His words were it will feel like a meat locker. That never happened. (But come on, we live in Texas, meat locker was a little extreme and our exceptions werent that high!! We at lest wanted the house to stay at 70 unlike 75-80+.) We also knew the unit was old and we expected to replace the whole unit. He said we didnt need one and doing the duct work would be enough to improve the cold air.After the work was done, we realized NO air was flowing in one of our sons room. The room was RIGHT by the ac unit. Had to call them and wait 3 plus days, for them to attach the air duct to his room. (because they didnt do it the first time, even AFTER walking through the house to double check everything). They had to come adjust/fix things three times. They put the wrong size return, realized they needed to add another vent, and so on...Needless to say NOTHING has changed expect the $3,000ish dollars missing from our account. House was still as hot as it was before they came. To be clear, money wasnt an issue. We wanted it cool in the house.Called another a/c place to see what they would say. Wanted to know if we were expecting something impossible...or what other suggestions they had because we were getting nowhere with BTAC. The other company gave us several suggestions and change a few things and that improved the air instantly.Contacted Bruce Thornton after speaking with the other company, to let them know what was said to us, to give them the opportunity to fix mistakes, give suggestions, or anything. We expected more pride in their work. Not for them to view us complaining because we wanted a discount on the bill. Which was not the case.It makes me sad that we wasted money that changed nothing. We should have got a second opinion, or maybe done more research before we gave them the go ahead. We were disappointed they werent willing to fix mistakes and or even give more options to fix the a/c. It felt like they got their money and they were done with us. We were willing to pay for a new a/c unit, but were told we didnt need one, we needed to get the duct work changed. That is why it is even more upsetting, because we were going to give them more business, but because of this, we moved to another company.It is always good to get a second opinion. That is the lesson we learned through all this.

Naturally I had plumbing problems on the 4th of July holiday. BTAC was the first to call me back and showed up before any other company even called me back. Robby did a great job and got us back up and running in no time. If I have issues in the future I’m requesting Robby.

Frank was the best plumber I’ve ever used. I will continue to use BTAC for all my needs. He fixed my water heater and I also have an air conditioner not working. So I had BTAC check my A/C Joe came out and was done in no time. BTAC got be back up and running in no time.

All service calls are “emergencies” when your space is warming up. But this service call was even more than urgent! Bruce Thornton came to our rescue and the technician, David Benitez, was the BEST!!! Thank you Bruce Thornton, and David for quickly coming through for us!!

The rating scale only went to five stars, but the four men who came to my house since last Saturday,the day before Easter all deserve 10 stars, not just five. On my first encounter last Saturday, Jeremy came out to turn back on my hot water that was turned off by the Cons delivery people, when they came to attempt to install a dishwasher, however, were not able to. Jeremy came out on a holiday weekend, and within minutes saw that they had turned off the hot water, but did not turn it back on when they left. I was not informed of this since the hot water worked through the rest of my house. Jeremy turned the water back on and then worked on increasing the temperature of th water in my shower, all within a matter of minutes. Jeremy was very knowledgeable and professional. I really felt that I received fantastic customer service. Thanks a lot Jeremy. Then today, BTAC came out to complete scheduled maintenance on my air conditioner, and they were very knowledgeable and professional. If that wasnt enough, BTAC came out again this afternoon at 4:30 p.m., to install my new dishwasher that was not installed by a local delivery company. When I bought the dishwasher, I was told that the cost included installation and delivery, however, I did not find out until when the dishwasher was being delivered that I did not pay for an installation fee. So I had a new dishwasher, in the packing, sitting in my kitchen. I called BTAC, and two men came , after hours, and installed the dishwasher without any problems. They were both knowledgeable and professionally. I feel like I have been blessed with excellent customer care service last Friday and again today. Frank came out after hours and found a MESS. I had no clue how bad the leak was and was extremely worried. He put my mind and ease and made the process extremely easy.He stayed until the job was done and did great work.

AC went out during the night, and we used the online messaging system at 11 PM. They fit us in the next day by sending somebody out at nearly 9 PM, when other companies had a two-day wait at least. So glad we didnt have to have another hot night of sleep. Joe looked at the unit and immediately knew what was wrong, and he had it fixed and running in less than 30 minutes. Highly recommended.

I called BTAC at 9am on a Sunday, and received a call back within ten minutes to schedule same day service. The technician, David, was efficient and very knowledgeable. He explained the problem and the solution. My family and I are grateful for BTAC!

Courtney was extremely helpful and polite when I called BTAC. Robby and Spencer did a terrific job replacing our old hot water heater with a new one. We are having a house full of people for Christmas in a few days and they saved the day by coming out after hours to install a new hot water heater that was leaking water. Our first time needing AC service, we went with the builders recommendation. Big mistake. So, we called BTAC. Since then, whenever our heat pump has been in need of service, we have always called BTAC. We are repeat customers not only because of their expediency, quality of work and promptness, but because they have ALWAYS put this customer first, going above and beyond to insure that our heating and cooling needs are addressed and fixed. They have always been above board, giving us options, from quick, and cheaper fixes, to different avenues from which to choose. Always with estimates for each solution to our particular problem. Necessitating a new unit is never what you want to hear. However, common sense, and repeated service calls, tells us that it is time. As per what weve come to expect from BTAC, they have once again gone above and beyond to provide what we need for our home. Beginning with customer service representatives, service employees, sales representatives and owners, they ALL provide excellent customer service. And, to be fair - I am a very hard to please customer. If you have a need for plumbing and/or AC, do not hesitate to use this company. In the 18 yrs I have been using them, both as a renter, then a home owner, I have been blessed with excellent customer care and service!! Therefore, I will always be a repeat customer. Our tech explained everything he was doing and walked us through the his trouble shooting process. He was prompt and had our ac up and running very quickly. He also double checked all the components to make sure the unit would keep running.

Came home from the movies to find my AC not working. Called because they offer 24 hours service. Thats a lie. When they called me back i was told that he was done for the night and he would get to me in the morning! Its 85 in my house and 100 outside!

Had new countertops installed in both bathrooms. This required disconnect of plumbing in the morning and install of new faucet sets and reconnect in the afternoon. BTAC was more than accommodating in working with me around the countertop install. And the technician was great. Gave me a great price too. Have used BTAC exclusively for all my plumbing and HVAC needs for over 15 years and will continue to do so in the future.

I have been using BTAC exclusively for all my AC and plumbing needs for the past few years. We used them to install an AC unit in our daughters house. Starting from scratch. This is the only company that you need to call!!! We experienced a water leak for the first Time in 11years in our home. One call to Bruce Thornton Air Conditioning and Robbie was on the scene with his knowledge and experience to locate where the leak originated from. Robbie and Carlos returned with all the tools and made the job look easy. They kept the house neat and clean and finished in record time. These men and this company alleviated our stress and worry. The ice machine at work went out and we tried for a week to get someone to come out and fix it. We called every day and it was always the same thing, oh we will be there today, sorry we got busy. Fed up, we finally googled who could fix ice machines in Lubbock and found these guys. Friday at 4pm I called and asked for service Monday. Friday at 6:30pm David came on HIS time to fix our ice machine because next week he was going to be out so he wanted to take care of us before he left. I really appreciated him coming out and looking at our machine even though he did not have to. The customer service is outstanding! We will definitely be using them again in the future.

We purchased a new Amana unit. The BTAC technitions that came to install were amazing people. Very courteous and knowledgeable people. Everyone we dealt with through the whole process were great. We would definitely recommend BTAC!

BTAC installed a mini split heat/ac system in my workshop. I am initially very pleased with their sales and installation, and the system they installed. The Daitec system is built in Houston so it is a made in USA product. It was expensive but should prove to be worth the price.

Attempting a DYI bathroom floor tiling project, I asked BTAC to make an appointment to remove the potty and to return several days later to reinstall it.We were out of town when the men returned to reinstall, and they checked with me to make sure I wanted the potty reinstalled in the same location. I said I did.When we returned, I found out that I had a LOT to learn about tiling under and around potties, and it was my fault that there were very notice areas where the tiles did not even come close.So I called BTAC back for a repeat performance, and now things look MUCH better! I had a 45/5 ac capacitor go out when the temp outside was 106 on 8/25. I called to see if BTAC could come out and replace. Got a call back and the tech said the service call was 150.00 (high but not crazy high) but what really got me was the cost of the capacitor.....$300.00!! I have purchased capacitors from Robert Madden Inc as a homeowner and never have paid that outrageous amount. BTAC is a rip off....I will never call them again. Consumer BEWARE!!!

Air conditioning unit not working when i got home fron work. Called BTAC at around 5pm yesterday. Was told somebody will call me for service. After few minutes, a guy called and told me that since its past the office hours, i will be charged $130 for diagnosis instead of $80 . I said ok just to get it fixed. I know its overtime so i got no problem with that. Then came Mr. Luna (service guyBTAC). He did a good job and hes very nice. He told me the problem was the capacitor.Its broken. He put in a new capacitor and the air conditioning unit is now working. I was charged $136 for the capacitor. I paid him $266 for the labor/diagnostic/ parts. He left and i am so happy the unit is now working. Then out of curiosity, i looked online for the price of the same capacitor. Whoooa i was shocked to see that it only cost $15- $20/piece. How in the world they will charge an exorbitant amount for a cheap capacitor. For $136, i think i got robbed. Thinking they charged me already $130 for diagnostics , they should be fair and honest enough to charge me reasonable price. I am a nurse. I dont know about air conditioning repair . I chose BTAC because of good reviews . I hope the owner will be able to read this review and give me a call to enlighten me about this. They have my phone number and name...

Started in December - Feb 17 ACTUALLY installed correct unit left parents without heat or AC at Christmas! Still not calibrated correctly. Sales Manager calls to collect payment Feb 19 still not correctly installed2/24 Installed wrong into for 2 time!!

Gave specific instruction of who to call before arriving(Tenant), who to call for approval of repair and for payment (Me/homeowner) because this is a rental property. None of the instructions were followed. Technician made my tenant go buy a extension cord so he could diagnosis the problem, then made the repair with NO approval and then forced the tenant (Tech Student) to pay for the repairs before he would leave. The tenant had to call his mom for payment. After voicing my disapproval via email. No one had contacted me to discuss why the instruction were not followed.

Had a guy come to bid for HVAC install on a new building. Told me 7 tons would be his guess but would get back to me. Over a week later with no response, I then hear from a different rep, who says I need 35 tons . I said theres no way. That guy comes to see the space and informs me it was the first reps last day, and assumes he didnt give him the correct info and just grabbed a number out of thin air for the job. The second rep takes another week to get back to me, and tells me itll be 25 tons, or 20 tons, and then back to 25 tons, wouldnt even give me a price and just started rattling off numbers in what seemed to be a rant. I asked for an actual bid, actually 2, one for all single phase 5 ton units, as well as if I were to switch to 3 phase units, and that I would base my decision off the bids. I never received anything at all. Had 3 other bids in this time frame, and btac was the FIRST company I had called to get a bid. I finally hear back from the second rep, who asks if he can come look at the building, yet again. Luckily I had another company already there installing units, a day after they bid the job. Was a very unprofessional and unorganized process with btac , will never bother calling for any future hvac work I may need.

They have came out 3 different times within a 3week period and havent fixed the problem.And they always give the runaround.They do not stand by their work.Do yourself a favor and just go somewhere else.

I had to buy a new A/C this summer and the BATC representative came into my house and listen to my needs. One item was an efficient AC. I am happy to say the new A/C lowered my power LP&L bill down roughly 30%. Another was air flow with a merv rated filter. The dust in my house diminish to a livable level. You know how you look at the morning sun rays through the windows. The dust level use to be frighten. Now, I see those same rays and the dust levels has dropped by 80%. Thanks Btac!

Many service calls are “emergencies” when your space is warming up. But this service call was even more than urgent! BTAC came to our rescue and the technician, David B. was the BEST! Thank you BTAC and David for quickly coming through for us!

Came out and got us hooked up with an all new unit! Got it all done in a day.. Ran into a snag and called everyone they could to get it fixed and keep us away from sweating all weekend!

Crazy overpriced. Charged $175 for the flapper, the float for the inside of the toilet, and labor. Those pieces cost about $15 retail.... even with labor and a drastic markup Im confused how its reasonable to charge someone this much, I guess my math isnt as good as it once was...
