You simply can’t go wrong with JD’s. The entire process from requesting a bid to the home evaluation to receipt of a multi-option document went smoothly. The owner, Nathan Rutledge, was professional, personable, knowledgeable, and prompt with replies. The installation team was efficient and communicative throughout the install. The office staff is also very helpful, with regular updates of plans via text and phone.The new unit is great - we hardly hear it running compared to the ancient single speed unit we replaced. Love the wireless control and am looking forward to seeing that lower energy bill with the higher SEER unit. Also, I am really pleased to receive a rebate from AEP on the new unit, another helpful thing JD’s takes care of for you.

Got home from work yesterday after 5pm to find my AC at home wasn’t running and my house was at 94 degrees and I have JD’s A/C a call and they came same day and diagnosed my ac’s issue, replaced my compressor and got my house cool by 8pm! Easy to schedule appointments. Great text and email reminder system. Our technician seemed to be new to the HVAC business. He was friendly and professional and hard working. As the homeowner I had some questions that he could not answer. Between the scheduler (Will) and Robert (a more experienced technician) they were able to guide our technician and resolve our concerns. Happy with the service. Was great to see that they support the newer employees to gain the experience.

We are still in the process of replacing our AC! We called JD’s on Tuesday, our AC was not running. A tech was sent out after hours, he diagnosed our problem and even did a temporary repair to keep the unit running. They sent out another tech on Wednesday to evaluate the location of our unit, we have some problems with our attic install. They put us in touch with a contractor to take care of the additional construction we need to allow access for the coil in the attic. Talked with the owner and asked for a quote for the replacement. The quote was sent out, but to the wrong email address. Sometimes my email address is difficult to communicate. When I mentioned that we had not received it their response was immediate and I am expecting my quote. JD’s have been responsive and very helpful.

JD’s has the friendliest staff and always responds quickly, communicates well and had a technician at the house the next day. He was friendly and had the job was done quickly. Definitely cannot beat their service, highly recommend!

I had my biannual service done and my tech figured out I needed a new fan motor. He was able to replace it the same day. 7 days later my outside unit started acting funny, I left a call with their answering service at 9 at night. A tech was here first thing in the morning. It took several attempts of trial and error to figure out what was wrong, but after a day and a half of troubleshooting, it’s running smooth again. JD’s is on the ball and get a 5 star for customer service!

At 3pm on Friday after calling 4 other HVAC places that all said they couldn’t come until Monday, I decided to try JD’s. I was told that they were booked solid, but they would find a way to get our ac looked at since it wasn’t working at all. He explained that it would likely be after 6. Robert showed up at 4:30 and had the problem diagnosed in less than 10 minutes. After gaining an understanding of the problem we opted to do the corrective maintenance ourselves so Robert could save three other families from the sweltering heat. When the time comes to replace this old ac, we will use JD’s!

The tech arrived at our home on time and with good prior text communication. Work was done thoroughly and professionally. Tech took time to explain everything and offered options and clear pricing. We purchased the membership which yields service twice per year for a very reasonable price along with discounts on any other parts and service. I called several other companies and JDs prices and availability were among the best. Happy with our choice and looking forward to a good business relationship in the future.

We bought a Google nest thermostat as a home upgrade and had the most difficult time installing it ourselves. After having other technicians come out unsuccessfully, we called JD’s and in a short amount of time they had us fixed and ready to go! These guys were great! Conner came out and inspected right away when my a/c went out and gave me several options. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and took time to explain things to me. He offered reasonable finance options for me as well.The installation team was also awesome! They were friendly, polite, and worked steadily through the day even though is was 95° (heat index 107 today!). They cleaned up after themselves, taught me how to use the new thermostat, change the filters and clean the drain. They checked temperatures several times before they left to make sure things were working well.I highly recommend them.

I cant say enough good things about JDs A/C they are my heros!!....we lost power along with everyone else in Hallsville during this last storm so when the power was finally restored we were so relieved...until we realized our AC was out...to make things even worse Im recovering from hip replacement surgery and had already been miserable trying to sleep for the last 3 days. I called Saturday evening on a long shot never expecting someone to answer but God Bless the sweet voice of a very helpful lady on the other end asking JDs AC Service How can we make you smile? She took my information and had a tech call us back within 15min. The tech, Tony, came out Sunday morning saw what the problem was and arranged for a new system to be delivered & installed Tuesday morning. I know a lot of people jumped through a lot of hoops and put in some serious OT hours to get us back up and running as they were dealing with a lot of other customers in need. As anyone knows thats ever had surgery its tough enough to recover in normal conditions much less in the Texas heat without AC and I cannot think them enough for all that theyve done for us. I highly recommend them and will never use another AC Service.

JD’s has installed 2 systems, multiple Wi-Fi thermostats and maintained my systems. They are always responsive and on time. I have used JDs for all the maintenance and repair for the system I had them install 10 years ago. This was the first repair that it has ever needed. Maintenance is done every year. Expecting to get another 10 years out of this system at least. They always do quality work, test everything, check level, and make sure I know about everything that they find.I fully recommend them for new installation, maintenance, and repair. It doesnt matter if its a new build or a 1950s build they will install, maintain, and repair its HVAC system.When they installed my system 10 years ago, they completely removed my old system and all of the ducts. They installed my New system in the attic with all new insulated ducts and insulated filtered returns for ease of maintenance and ensuring that my conditioned space gets adequate air flow and return.Give them a call it is definitely worth it!

My ac went out I do have health problems and I was concerned that it would take a long time before they could fix my air conditioner. They told me that they would have to come the next day in the evening time but they came eight hours earlier and fix it, and it’s working wonderfully now. My inside unit was frosting over. Jds came out same day, and worked with my work schedule so I didnt have to miss so many hours. They added freon, and told me I had a really slow leak in the lines. (Something other companies for the past 9 years never mentioned.) Best yet, the have a membership where they come out twice a year to run a check up on everything.

We have had several different AC companies try to work on our unit and fail, but he was the first one to do a thorough inspection and give an honest explanation for what was going on and what needed fixing. A/C wasn’t blowing cold. JD came out the same day and recharged Freon after verifying there wasn’t a leak. Fixed. Also came back the next day with a filter replacement.

We use JDs at home and always suggest them when bidding jobs. They do great work and have great, friendly technicians. One of the things that often will plague a service company is the employment of people who arent service friendly. Not the case at JDs. Good, friendly, and above all, talented people at what they do.
