I initially gave a good review because the service call was quick and reasonably priced. However, the technician misdiagnosed the problem and instead of re-ordering the correct part to fix my oven immediately, he asked me to wait a couple of days to call it in so it would be under warranty and he wouldnt take the hit for the mistake. Against my better judgment, I did this and waited to call it in & then waited again for the service call. However, mid-day, the rep for Sears cancelled my appointment BY TEXT, with no notice. This was the 3rd time I had taken time off of work for this oven repair and was cancelled on by Sears at the last minute. Mind you, if I were to cancel, they would require 24-hour notice, but didnt give me that same courtesy. Needless to say, I declined to use them to finish out the repair.
Andrew was on time, very professional. Answered all questions we had. He made us comfortable being in our home. We enjoyed his company and conversation. We Thank him for the good job he done.
Shawn is an amazing technician. He did a great job communicating & spot on with his time frame for the repair. Im so glad he was able to repair my stove. A very professional tech in my opinion.
We scheduled an appointment to have our refrigerator icemakers repaired in November before the holidays, the technician came out and looked at the unit and ordered parts for the repair. When the parts came in he came out and put in the parts, as he was replacing the lower ice maker I noticed that it didnt look right, like it was broken out of the box, I asked him if it was okay and he yes. He put the parts in and said everything was good to go and left. A week later the icemakers were still not working so we had him out again, this time my husband was there. He did some diagnostics on the unit, went outside and and called someone and came back in and said he couldnt fix it and we would receive a refund for the parts and labor within 14 business days. Sounds good and moved on. My husband decided to look at the icemakers and found that the icemaker that was replaced was, in fact, broken. My husband ordered a new ice maker and a few other parts he thought was the problem, and yes, both icemakers are now working, go figure.Fast forward to a month later and still not refund, I contacted the 800 number and spoke to someone who informed me that the refund was not processed as of today. The representative did start the process of the refund and we will see how long it takes to receive it.Unless you have a new, under warranty appliance, I would not recommend this repair place for service. Doing an actual repair and troubleshooting the problem is not in their wheelhouse. It may be just our tech, who came out all three times but we will repair ourselves going forward.
Arrived promptly this morning. He couldn’t find anything wrong with my ice maker, but, he requested that I text him tomorrow, after not using it for a full day. Hopefully, it will be operating correctly and will be full. I will follow through with his request. He was very courteous and respectful. Good job Quinton!

Technician seemed nice. But then would not leave until he got his money. I wasn’t the responsible party. I had to call to find someone. He said he couldn’t order part. I asked what was the problem and said board?I would never call this place again. No one wanted to help w situation. Passed me to 3 different people. None of which cared
Quinton arrived a lot earlier than expected, so I was able to go on a day trip that I originally thought I was going to miss. He was very polite and quick. So glad to have my washer back!
Tech was Michelle Alderman 705186. Did a wonderful job. Very neat and clean. Answered all questions. Very knowledgeable. Arrived on time. Part had not been delivered, went on line to find out where part was. Found out was in part review. She instructed me that I would here back within 2 weeks.

When I called them to have rubber replaced on freezer door, they tried to sell me a warranty for over $688.00 dollars. Told them No. All I needed was rubber replaced on door nothing else needed. I was told they would have someone come the next day to repair freezer. I asked specifically if they would have the replacement seal for the freezer on the truck and replace it on the next day. Was told yes.The next day, the repair person arrived and said they would need to run a complete diagnostic test on the freezer to determine what needed to be repaired. I told them No, just put the rubber on the door. Then they told me they would need to order the rubber for the door and come back to fix the freezer and the amount would be $688.plus change. I told them they were crazy....no one would pay that much money, and that was ridiculous! Repair person asked me if I was refusing to allow them to repair.....and I would need to sign my name to confirm I was refusing. I Would never refer Sears in home repair service to anyone!!!!!!
Great service with friendly, knowledgeable and experienced technicians. On appointment day I am able to view a link showing me where they are with expected arrival time and complete with technicians name and picture. Ben always leaves me with excellence advice on maintaining my riding mower. I get helpful and cheerful customer service every time.
Terrible communication and service. They ordered a timer for a washer that should be in stock anyway (the technicians words) and told us (via email) on two different occasions that they would be back between 8 and 5 on that day to repair the washer. I took off of work and stayed home only to find out late in the day that the part hasnt even shipped yet. (These timers are on amazon and could be here overnight) The automated phone assistant is a joke and wont allow you to talk to a human.The overall experience has been Pathetic.
Shawn, with Sears Home Repair came in response to my stepdads request under our Choice Home Warranty for a dryer that was no longer drying. Shawn took all of 20 minutes to diagnose the problem, remove the burned out part, install the new one thanked us and was out the door. Waited 2 hours, fired up the dryer and it works and functions like new. Thanks Sears Appliance Home Repair and Thanks to Shawn for a great job and a very friendly disposition. Take care and keep up the 5 Star Service, you never know who may be watching you.
Shawn was very prompt and was neatly dressed. Very polite and went to work immediately. He checked my dryer and found nothing wrong but told me what to do. He also checked my washer for leaks because of a stain on the floor. He found the bottom of the washer dry. I appreciate him doing the extra check.
Repairman showed up the first day and diagnosed the problem. Ordered parts that were sent to my home. He came today and replaced the ice maker. Said it would take about 24 hours for it to reset to the proper temperature. Thanks Quinton!! Very friendly, job well done.

Dryer making loud noises. Sears tech knew immediate what the problem was. Unit was repaired and quiet in under an hour.
He was polite, got the dryer working, but he forgot to put a part back. So Im not even sure I can use it. Ive texted him the picture and Ive not heard back yet.

This guy was so nice and efficient. It was a very hard and heavy job but he did it and i am very thankful. Afterwards he was thoughtful and did some cleaning. He was a kind man and talked with me while he was working. I appreciate him so much.
This is the worst service I have ever seen. The have no experience in repairs and do not show up on time. You can never speak to anyone on the phone. I have had two repairs and maybe 7 -8 technicians. I was charge for the wrong parts needed on the ice machine. They charged me over $700 for a circuit board replacement and it was the pump. Came to fix the fridge and cleaned the coils and still doesnt work. I would give them (0).
The price-he charge to pull out the Refrigerator and flip the switch on the plug?$175.00??? That’s what I think it was. I’ll have to check my Bank debit statement. Being theRefrigerator was already pulled out- I asked him- could he vacuum behind before he pushed it back?He said No- I can’t do that???What? How rude- only here 5+ minutes- heHe said that?????
Absolute nightmare!!! I have a double oven range. The diagnostic tech said both igniters were out. Repair tech comes to make repairs. She breaks one of the igniters and gets a replacement from her van. When we start the oven there is a small boom and a puff of smoke. She says she blew the motherboard. So fast track to 2 weeks later. She comes and makes the repairs. The top oven still doesn’t work. She says I need to calibrate it and she leaves. I calibrate it and it still doesn’t work. It took numerous calls to finally talk to someone who could help, or so I thought. Instead of the next service call being a recall on unfixed repair they put in a new order. When the tech called she remembered who I was and said she knew what the problem was and would fix it on the down low. All I had to do was pay for the part. I’m not giving Sears one more penny. How do we know that the problem now has to do with what she did? Sears will not listen and just gives me the run around.
Quinton was knowledgeable and helpful and saw the problem right away and fixed it. However, getting in touch with a human at sears appliance repair is almost impossible and very frustrating. Quinton though was great!
