Most frustrating experience ever, I had my bottom freezer stopped working and trying to fix it for last 16 weeks, After 8 technicians appointments and diagnostic, many part changes everything has stopped working and they gave me next appointment after 7 days out. This is hell in 100 degrees peak Texas summer and we are with 4-7 year old kids without any cold water or fridge now. Looking forward for more suffering sears. Thank you so much.
The tech arrived right on time after calling to remind me of the appointment. He was friendly and courteous. He thoroughly checked all the appliances and showed me how to clean out the outdoor dryer vent every month or so to prevent build up and possible fire. When he left, I felt confident our appliances are fine and good to go for a good while longer.
Noah, made my day. He took the extra step and performed a re-diagnosis. His experience played an important role. Noah took the time to correctly diagnose the issue. It resulted in saving me time and money. I will request Noah in the future.
Tech was great. Sears Appliance Repair is HORRIBLE. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. If you think you will speak with a live human being very easily, think again. They do everything possible to bury any way to speak to someone local. And they are successful. You might be able to speak with a call center representative in India but they are as helpful (read that as USELESS) as you would expect them to be.My first visit they closed my ticket as complete. WRONG. My second visit they had to order parts and scheduled my return visit two weeks out. They never asked me if the parts had arrived but were thoughtful enough to reschedule me via text with no way to contact them TWICE. That visit was also rescheduled because they said the part had not arrived. It had been at my house for over a week.They did not update my file stating I had the part even though I spoke with at least three people and communicated that information quite forcibly.Even though this was a warranty issue with a current phone number, they had my file under a landline that has not been ours for over thirty years. I kept trying to access my account with my cell number, which I have had for over twenty years, and I was getting “no information available. That phone number is not registered” and the system would hang up on me.I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. I wish the techs the best of luck but the executives and the call center employees can all jump in a lake and pound sand. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE customer service. Terrible business. I hope their refrigerator goes out and it takes them three weeks to get a simple repair done just like it did me.And also, don’t buy an LG refrigerator. In 7 years it has had major issues twice. I still have my childhood whirlpool refrigerator in my garage and it is still chugging away with no service issues. This is the one attached to the incorrect land line phone number.UPDATED BY ME AFTER THEY RESPONDED: I would be happy to contact you to discuss. However, the phone number provided is the same one that NEVER let me speak with a real person and actually hung up on me. So why dont you reach out to me? I am in your system or give me a REAL phone number to speak with a living, breathing person.
Was in a rush. This was second time he came. Last time he and his senior guy came. They said that a tech would come same day or next. No follow through. When I asked him he was reluctant to help out. Was in a great rush. Not sure if ge did a good job. Did not let me see his completed work.
K did a great job diagnosing the problems, explaining my options, and doing the preventative maintenance. I was very pleased with his helpfulness and professionalism. I will definitely use them again!
If Alberto was our first technician and not our 3 rd. We would not have sunk $570.00 into our refrigerator.Alberto is super knowledgeable and a very nice person to deal with. If some how you can request him, do it.FYI He only works on refrigerators.Landed up going to buy a new refrigerator.Got 8 years out of our Kitchen Aid. Apparently, that’s all you can get from a refrigerator these days. 👿
Technician made a call prior to visiting the home to confirm the service appointment. However, it would be better if Sears can locate the technicians that’s close to the house (zipcode radius) since he seemed to be unhappy that we were an hour and half away from where he was. This should be addressed by Sears since zipcode was asked prior to the service appointment. Repair was done with the tools we had at home. He did mention that the parts we need were unavailable since our treadmill was old. Charged $216 for labor and parts + tax. (Not sure what part was being charged since he used what we had at home)
Our technician Mario was terrific, he was so knowledgeable. He explained everything that he was doing to find the problem with our dryer, then he repaired it and cleaned it. We appreciated that he really knew what he was doing, that is so rare these days.
Tech. Scott, arrived on time and listened to our concerns about the operation of our Frig. After examining the Frig. he determined that there was no need for any repair. The airflow inadvertantly had been restricted by an item blocking the circulation. I would not hesitate to call Sears Home Repair for any future problem.

Steve, the technician, is the only person that I can say anything good about during this ordeal. One and one half months, by itself, is bad enough, but the difficulty I had in getting to talk to a real person was unreal. Even then, they knew nothing about what was going on. This is the worst experience Ive had in years. I WILL NOT BE RENEWING MY PROTECTION AGREEMENT. Meanwhile, I had to do my laundry at a laundromat, not good.
Tech incorrectly diagnosed and closed out the ticket. When we pointed out that things were still not working correctly, tech tried to callAnd have them reopen a ticket. He was told they could not do that and we would have to call and schedule a separate service appointment. Pretty ridiculous considering it was not fixed.

Except that the technician was not given the parts needed for the repair, he made an effort to get the part and returned to do the repairs. I blame the communication from the folks making the scheduling and virtual technician for not providing the necessary parts to the repairman. All in all, Luis the technician did a good job and he called me about what time he would be at my place.
Will NEVER use again! You can’t reach the company directly. Only a call center that cannot answer questions, but rather schedule appointments only. 3 different technicians with 3 different parts orders on 3 different service appointments. One appointment was a “ no show” with a text 3 hours after our appointment window. Remember, you can’t reach the company by phone, text or email to inquire on where your technician is! The repair was simply a cracked water hose, but no one could seem to order the correct size coupling. The 3rd technician said the hose we ordered wasn’t needed, but then a small piece was needed. Our parts were $30 and labor for an actual 1 hour of repair was over $400!

EDIT:I suspect Sears is using AI bots, as they gave me the same number that wouldnt let me reschedule in response to my complaint that the number wouldnt allow me to reschedule.Horrendous Incompetence! They charged me for work that didnt fix anything. The next day, I scheduled them to come back and fix it. At the last minute the repairman called to cancel and refused to reschedule.In my prior review, Sears gave me a number to call but that is an automated line with no chance to speak with a person. Because the repairman who canceled didnt clear out the appointment the system wont let me reschedule. There is no person to speak with so I have to find another company and get my money back from Sears.
Not great service. I have a Sears home warranty service that is serviced by Cinch. The young man that came instantly complained that it would have been nice if the shrub next to the AC unit had been trimmed.I explained that I had already had someone look at the unit, he wanted to know what was found and I told him they said the unit needed to be replaced.He took a look and agreed that the outside AC unit needed to be replaced, going on to say that even if the heating unit in the attic was working it would not be compatible with the new unit. He then asked me if I would be willing to pay for a new attic unit which I replied ABSOLUTELY NOT that is why I pay to have a home warranty service. He finally went in the attic and said that, that unit had no issues. After he realized he wasn’t going to get more money, he instantly farmed me off to another company.The gentleman from the other company came the next day and concurred that the outside unit was shot and found the coils in the attic unit were leaking and said both units needed to be replaced.Everything is 18 years old so it should not be a surprise that things are breaking down. He said he had to file paperwork to send back to Cinch, 🤔 did I mention that is who the first guy worked for! My concern is why send it to someone else if you are going to have to be the company to take care of the problem?I am still waiting. Before this experience I would have recommended Sears warranty to friends and family but probably not now. It has been a week with no working air conditioning. No hesitation to take my deductible though!
On their third attempt at fixing the refrigerator they succeeded in accomplishing nothing other than turning off my water and forgetting to turn it back on. Rather than tell me that you are sorry to hear about my experience, tell me how to get my money back so I can pay someone to actually fix it.
He seems to be moody. He didn’t greet but he did finish the job. He started being negative on me. I felt like he was talking down to me. He seem to be racist or just moody and negative.
Our technician was very knowledgeable and gave me great tips on how to upkeep the machine!

The repairman replaced a part on the freezer and charged $650.26 but didn’t stay around to notice it still wasn’t cooling. I’ve scheduled him to come back and fix what should have been fixed today.
Philip was very thorough and provided excellent diagnosis and repair of our dryer. Everything is working as expected now and better than before. He took the time to check everything over, and made sure everything was put back together well and balanced out the unit afterward for best performance. Highly Recommend Philip!

Placed my service call Friday night at 6:00pm got service the next day Saturday at 8:00am. Best service call I have ever received for an appliance repair. Absolutely outstanding. The overall time they took to fix this small issue was bad. The first technician was inexperienced ans he broke the sensor board and we lived without Fridge for 10 days. after that everytime a part is ordered. there was a turnaround time of 7 days..

Nice guy but to be honest with you had no interest in fixing the problem. Adjusted temp like the others did, and adjusted water flow. Told me to wait a few days to see if that worked. I know I will have to call again to have someone come out to try to figure out why my ice maker isn’t making ice.
Earl J was amazing! He was able to show me what the error was on my range and was patient educating me regarding the rationale for the error. The error cleared and he offer the Sears Repair Plan and I was on board (pun intended)! I know the quality of Sears and EJ as my technician made me feel right at home! (again with the puns ;0)

I am beyond disappointed. Even though I bought an extended warranty, Assurant will not replace the lemon refrigerator I got. It makes a HORRIBLE noise but because it cools properly, they will not replace it. We cannot stand to listen to it so we are going to get rid of it and it is going to be a complete loss. A $3000 refrigerator (with a good for nothing warranty) in the trash. GE and Assurant - you should be ashamed of yourself.
Prepaid $1,290 for repair, parts and labor. Appliance not fixed. Same problem the next day.

I don’t know what happened on the 15th I waited alll day for a technician…8 am to 5 pm….and nobody came…I missed work and lots of money that y’all can’t or won’t refund me…..y’all should really close that big window somewhere like 8-12 orrr 12-5…..yet today…the 16th .My guy texted me…gave me an ETA and was Johnny on the spot….fixed my problem quickly and efficiently and also let me know the prior company I used….did nottt hook my oven up properly…which is why I had the same problem less than 6 mos…….I never asked his name…but I’m sure it’s connected to my order…..He needs a raise….and a whole lot of recognition…because he represented your company in the best way possible…especially with a disgruntled customer….pay that Man to stay witcha….people like him don’t come along often…..

Sears repair service is horrible !! 2 no shows , no call no email , nothing . They also do not list a contact # nor email to get in touch w them . Only thing you could do was re-schedule.
