I have used Petrocelli for 3 different houses I’ve lived in. They always provide great service! They are very detailed in explaining anything they are going to do and very reasonable in cost. Being on their maintenance plan has saved me a lot over the years! Our technician Matt is on time, communicates everything he is doing with pictures to fully understand the work and follows up after he comes. I highly recommend this company!

We have been with Petrocelli Services for many years now. They have always been very professional, prompt and knowledgeable and have been taking care of all our HVAC needs. Recently, we had an issue with our heating system on the coldest day of the winter thus far. Great experience. Juan was patient in explaining the different parts of my HVAC units and which parts were running well and which components needed repair/replacing.

Our first interaction with Petrocelli Services was about two decades ago. Joe and his technician clearly knew their trade extremely well and were both straight forward and completely honest with us. We have since purchased two AC units from them. My latest interaction was with Gregory, who diagnosed and replaced a bad capacitor for us this summer. Gregory was thorough, professional, and clearly knew his trade well too. It is nice to see that Joe and his technicians/staff have kept up the high standards they set for us many years ago.

Their new service manager, Martin went the extra mile to provide quality service and made sure my family and I got a properly functioning HVAC unit. I also want to give thanks to our service technician Gregory. Without his expertise and recommendations, I believe we would still be suffering in this central Texas heat. Shout out to Barnabe and Josh who worked all day in our attic, making our family comfortable & cool with a properly running HAVC.

We had an emergency, water was leaking from our AC to our garage and needed help ASAP. It was very easy to get connected with the company they answered on the first call. Greg got here right away and was quick, efficient and knowledgeable. He explained what the problem was, wrote up multiple treatment plans and thoroughly explained each option. He was patient while I spoke to my husband on the phone to decide what we wanted to do then he immediately fixed the problem. We then also received a call from the company to double check and ensure we were taken care of and sayisfied. One the best experiences we have had in regards to needing somthing serviced on our home. Will definitely keep going to them for their services and highly recommend.

In 2015, I had them come out and install two brand new units: one for upstairs and one for the downstairs. I told them at the time I wasnt as worried about cost as I was quality and value. My current system at the time had lasted 25 years, worked well, and it was just starting to have a few issues, so I thought is was better to replace it before it went out completely. I wanted to replace the systems with one of equal or better quality. They assured me this would not be an issue. They did tell me that they would have to create new openings in each side of the out part of my house to install the internal air handler units since the access points were too small. Originally they told me they would add on to the existing vent, but when the contractor came out to do that he said it was not a structurally sound thing to do so without notice he cut a hole in the side of my stucco. I guess I should have realized before this we already had issues if they couldnt replace it with out going through the inside, but they sounded like I could trust them and Joe himself had come out to assure me they could do the job. When I saw they cut an approximately 3x4 foot hole in the side of my stucco and planned to put another vent there, we had a discussion, and Joe did agree to put in a stained glass window there because a vent would just look stupid. Fast forward one year and I had to call them because we were having issues because it was 80 degrees in the downstairs. The technician came out, assessed the situation, and decided they needed to add a vent in my room, and cut a hole in my bedroom door to add a vent there too to help it cool better. Note: my previous system worked 25 years without all of these issues. Petrocellis response to this remark was, They dont make them like they used to. Really! After just one year the system is expected to fail! Fast forward another year, summer rolls around and its having issues again. The technician comes out and says I need Freon. He doesnt have any with him so hell have to come back. What AC company does not carry refrigerant on their vehicles during the summer? So when he returns, I ask him two things: why does it need it unless its leaking? and why and where is it leaking? because its against EPA requirements for them to ignore a leak. (You know ozone, polluting the air, and all that.) He said, Oh its probably not a leak, it just needs to be recharged. After less than 2 years! Then he proceeds to improperly test and charge it with a ridiculous amount 3-4 lbs of refrigerant, which indicated it must have been leaking the entire time and provide me with a bill of like $400 or something. I told him I would have my husband discuss it with the office and Joe. After lots of phone calls to the office, we finally got them to agree to come out and look for the leak that they did find. They wanted us to pay for the repair, which was actually faulty installation, hence the loss of refrigerant, and they never could get the billing correct. Finally, because they kept billing me and Gary someone that I dont know, I told them to go collect from Gary. Fast forward to last week - only 5 years after the initial install and I had to replace the entire upstairs unit because when they installed it, they did not replace the outside breaker with a trip breaker, which caused an electrical fire in the outdoor unit and it caught fire and burnt up. So as a previous customer stated, I wouldnt let them put ice in my glass, much less install any type of AC/heating unit in my house. They are a disgrace to the profession. They should be put out of business by the EPA. And if its at all possible, I will be looking into legal action since I had to pay for a brand new unit. DONT USE THEM FOR ANYTHING - NOT EVEN A SERVICE CALL!In response to your reply, if your company does it right the first time, you dont have to spend a lot of yours nor my time and money to make a customer happy. You just do it correctly by EPA guidelines the first time and were all safe and happy.

I can’t thank this company enough. Our compressor went down early this morning and they dispatched Gregory within 6 hours, every other AC repair company would of been days. He got us up in running within an hour. Professional and quick, i would definitely recommend his services again.

Great service! Nice professional repairman! Gregory had to come back out when a light on my filter system seemed to be staying off. They came out and rechecked the system. They retested everything and reassured me that everything was in good order and did not add another service call fee. I was so greatful! Ive paid annually now for 3 years to have Fall and Spring service and these guys are great. Fair. Knowledgable. You will not be sorry if you choose Petrocelli!

They did an excellent job installing a complete new HVAC system at my daughters house and it went very smoothly and all systems are working great. I then had them come out and do maintenance on my home system which has three furnaces and three AC units. The service person Matt was very thorough and let me know the systems were in good shape and had some good recommendations as to things I may want to address in the future. I have my new HVAC company going forward.

He was professional, on-time and did a great job. I feel better knowing our home air is cleaner and this is especially important as my husband has asthma.

The owner came out personally to give my business a second opinion when I was told I would need to replace my entire AC unit. He fixed the problem for a fraction of the cost I was quoted by a competing company. This business is doing things the right way, which is uncommon these days. I will definitely be calling on Petrocelli in the future for anything business- or residential-related. I wish I could give them a sixth sta.

The technician evaluated my system and determined it was a part covered by manufacturers equipment warranty. He will order the part and replace it as soon as it comes in. He took the time to fully analyze and determine the root cause of the issue.

I called Petrocelli Services because they had previously worked on the unit in the home I recently purchased in Austin. It was the first time I needed HVAC work here and I just went with who had previously serviced the unit because I had no existing relationships. My furnace was not heating properly, so I called them to come out and check it. I was able to book an appointment shortly after my call and the tech arrived on time. When I booked my appointment they told me about the $129 service call. No problem or complaints thus far.When the tech arrived, I accompanied him to the unit and watched him check out everything. I have general knowledge about systems and have owned several houses with issues in the past. After checking things he informed me that the capacitor for the unit was going bad. That made sense to me. He asked me if I wanted to replace it and I said yes. I guess that was my first mistake in that I did not inquire specifically about what he would charge for the part. The tech did not specifically state what the company was charging either. Based on my knowledge the part is generally $25 or $30 maximum... So thats what I expected plus the service call.Fast forward to less than an hour later when the work was completed and the tech told me the price, I was shocked to hear that the total was $420.00 - meaning that they charged somewhere around $291 for the part (for a $30 part). When I inquired as to why it was so expensive, I was informed thats just what it is. Im not going to complain about the tech.. he was just doing his job and charging what hes told to charge. However, I would say I dont find it to be an honorable business practice to not inform someone of the price before you complete the work regardless as to whether or not they ask. Of course when you are out of heat, the individual is going to say they want to repair the unit especially when it is a minor part of system. Maybe I am naive, but I would not expect a reputable business to rake a client over the coals and extract an exorbitant amount of money from them for a minor repair. Lesson learned with this company.Do not make the same mistake I did. I would not trust this company without having everything in writing on the front end and knowing that youre likely to be charged a significant amount for any minor repairs. Instead of calling them, I would go another direction.Im happy to pay above market rates for good service, but charging 10x or more for a basic part (Google 10uf capacitor for hvac system for example of part cost) when you dont have a lot of time in a job is not very ethical in my opinion. Good service and honesty goes along way with me. When choosing future HVAC work, give this company a hard pass.Update: the performed work did not repair the problem. Had to call another company to come out and accurately diagnose and repair.

We are very pleased with Greg & Bobbys Carrier installation with the addition of 5 air filter and an active air purifier and modification of vents to provide more circulation in desired rooms. Further, they enrolled us in Petrocelli Services Cool Club for two scheduled inspections & 2x/yr 5 filter change per year and priority emergency service

We have a service contract with Petrocelli. Saturday, we noticed that the A/C wasnt cooling so we called the service number. Joe Petrocelli answered immediately, asked to call back in 5 minutes, and then actually called back!A quick phone call and we were told that hed be at the house within the hour. Which he was. He even wore shoe covers when entering the house.A quick troubleshooting revealed that the capacitor was shot. Joe gave us two options and explained the difference between the two models. We also discussed full replacement but he advised against it since theres still milage to be found in the current compressor. Thats how a pro behaves.30 minutes later, the problem was fixed and our house started to get cool again.We paid for the service contract for situations like this. Petrocelli came through and delivered, thereby avoiding a terrible weekend experience. Thank you so much, highly recommended!

Petrocelli has been taking care of our heating and air conditioning system for years. We have been pleased with the work they’ve done for us so far and plan to continue to use them in the future.Today’s visit was the Spring A/C Maintenance visit. Their service technician, Matt Moore was courteous and efficient.

My AC went out and they came out that same day. I was able to get a replacement installed the next day. They were very professional, clean, responsive, and very well priced. I will definitely use them in the future!

The tech Daniel deserves 5 stars. He was on time, very knowledgeable and professional. He identified the thermostat as the cause of my system ‘s failure to heat. He explained very clearly the settings when he installed it.The reason for the rating of 4 is that the rather steep service call fee was not mentioned when I made the appointment or in any subsequent communication. In addition to the service fee, the cost of the thermometer was double the retail price plus an additional $50. I felt the total charge was too high.The service fee was waved, but I’m not sure I would use Petrocelli again. I also wonder if a thermostat normally only lasts 2 yrs.

Our AC was out on a hot Sunday afternoon in August, not what you want in Texas! We called Petrocelli immediately and they put us on the schedule first thing Monday morning. Less than 24 hours later the AC is back on and running smoothly! We’ve relied on Petrocelli for 4 years now and will continue to do so in the future. Quick response, very professional and knowledgeable technician and high quality work.

Service was ok. Thought it was a little ridiculous that a replacement capacitor would cost over $500. Which took all of 5 minutes to replace.
