Daltons Air

Daltons Air has been an absolutely life saver for me. They are honest and fair with pricing, and actually act like they have my best interests in mind. I ABSOLUTELY trust them and cannot recommend them highly enough: if you need an honest and competent AC crew in the Austin area, just reach out. Have used them for years, and never a bad experience.

We had an exceptional experience with Lewis from Daltons Air! After calling last night about our house feeling warm, he arrived promptly this afternoon. His service was professional and efficient, without any upcharges for unnecessary services. Lewis quickly identified a capacitor issue with our AC unit, which was still under warranty, and had it back up and running in under 30 minutes! We are extremely satisfied with the service and will forever recommend Daltons Air and Lewis for anyones AC needs. Thank you, Lewis, for your outstanding work!

They put in our ac/heater when our home was built about 6 years ago. That all went well and no problems. However, I have since reach out to them 3 separate times because we were having problems and they never returned my calls, text messages or even requests I put into their website. We were under warranty for the first 5 years but instead I had to use different companies to come out and fix my AC and it cost me a lot. I would strongly caution using them as they obviously dont stand behind their work. Only thing I can guess is they would lose money doing warranty work so they had no interest in getting back with me. Also, to have three separate instances of problems with a new unit should not happen. Makes me question the quality of their work. Be very careful using Daltons Air.I read your response and that is untrue. I checked and I called the correct number and have the correct company. In fact, I just called the number again and it nows says your voicemail is full and you can not even leave a message. Like I stated , BAD customer service. I also texted to the number in the past and filled out your website form. Zero response. You are only making it worse by lying. I would suggest instead you apologize for the mistakes and fix it so it doesnt happen again instead of pretending like I made a mistake. Highly unethical. Like I said before, be very careful using Daltons Air.

On one of the hottest days in the Summer, Dalton Air did not put me off like others had. I had gotten one quote from a business my home warranty people sent that turned out to not even be the problem and were asking much more $. To top it off they put me off 3 weeks! I called Dalton Air who came out the next day. They ordered the part I actually needed and fixed the problem a few days later when the part came in. They were fantastic and professional.

As a real estate agent focused on professionalism, its essential for vendors to have great service, customer focus and ANSWERS! These guys did a great job AND saved my sellers $1,000s!!!

Dalton’s replaced my complete HVAC system with Rheem Classic Plus Series High Efficiency Air Conditioner and furnace. I highly recommend Lewis and his crew. They are very efficient and very price competitive.The new unit has saved me over $80 a month in heating and cooling cost the past 12 months.

The entire team at Daltons Air was oustanding to work with, especially Manuel and the business owner, Lewis Dalton. They did excellent work replacing my 30+ year-old system, they were all super friendly/courteous, and they kept me informed along the way (which was great because I ask a lot of questions). As a first-time homeowner, Im so glad I went with them.

We have been using Lewis Dalton and his guys for our personal home as well as our rental properties. He is honest and fair, very hard working, very professional. He does get pretty busy, so sometimes you may have to wait just a little while for him to get back to you, but he will! I would definitely recommend this business. And honestly, he is just a nice guy!

A few years ago, I made an appointment with Lewis Dalton and one of his coworkers came out the first time and diagnosed the issue incorrectly. Thankfully Lewis came out the next time and found that we needed a new damper. Since he didnt have them in stock, he would get one and call me back. As it wasnt urgent, a couple of years went by during Covid and he never bothered to call back at all. Finally I called again this year as it was becoming more urgent...some rooms were rising above 80 degrees. We received a very reasonable quote, but again there was no part on hand. Many weeks later and several unreturned calls, but they finally got the parts needed. Since we didnt know any other companies specializing in dampers, we swallowed our anger with their lack of response and waited patiently for the appointment. Finally the appointment came and one of the dampers was the wrong size, so he only replaced one and made an appointment to replace the second one the following month. Instead of making an effort to quickly correct the issue, the followup appointment went by without the courtesy of showing up, or even a return call/text! In summary, communication is horrendous with this company, but prices are reasonable. We wont waste any more time reaching out to them.

We had our AC serviced over the summer and when it started getting cold, we hired Dalton Air to repair the heat. Both times, the service representatives were prompt, very courteous and kept us informed as to what needed to be repaired. Both times, they completed service in one visit and the cost was very reasonable. I was surprised and extremely pleased with both service experiences. I highly recommend Dalton Air!

Daltons Air is outstanding. They installed two new AC unit at our house during construction. One of the units has had the motor fail twice and they replaced it, now twice under warranty. Dalton responds quickly, showed up on time, fixed it and gave me great personal service!

Daltons technicians will explain the reason for necessary repairs honestly and clearly and suggest alternative remedies if any exist.

I found Dalton’s Air through the American Home Shield vendor list and was so happy that I got the chance to. Louis came out himself and diagnosed the problem as a minor part on the motherboard and fixed it for free. The local recommended a/c company told me I needed a whole new system, about $6000.00! The problem with that declaration was the system was new to the house when I bought it two years earlier.Since that encounter I have recommended Dalton’s Air to my colleagues and neighbors any chance I get.I have signed up for their maintenance program as well and they have checked both heating and air in the fall and spring just like they said they would, on both systems for the same price. Can’t beat that.On the neighborhood board, I do my best to recommend them but it is hard to do with so many responses happening so fast lately.If you ever need a truly honest a/c company with everything to lose, please call Dalton’s Air. I called Mr. Dalton to assess the AC at a listing I had on Fern Hollow in Austin 78731. He arrived on time and did a thorough job of determining the problems causing the ineffective air conditioning. He then performed the much needed repairs/replacement parts, and we were back up and running. I cannot recommend Daltons Air too much: responsive to calls and professional in attention and repairs. Dalton’s Air was able to diagnose and repair our AC duct and damper issue that other companies had not been able to find or fix. They were prompt, professional and took pictures while in the attic so we could see exactly what the problem was. Highly recommend and will use them from now on!

They came out on Friday, gave me a quote that beat the others by a lot and installed the new heat pump and air handler on Monday. Cant be happier. Best HVAC company Ive ever worked with!Except they never came back and installed the LED UV light that I paid for. No returned calls or emails either.

Update 9/2020We seem to need heat and air work at each of our older homes once per year per house. Lewis and crew keep our older HVAC systems running. When asked if I needed a new one at our rental, he assured me it has several years on it as long as some part (which I cant recall the name of) doesnt go out. Daltons Air is a great HVAC company with quick and dependable service. I have been a customer since 2009 and referred them to two of my neighbors.

My experience with Dalton Air was really positive. Raccoons had eaten through ductwork, so no air was going to my second bedroom. I had been told by other companies that they could not find the area of the attic that contained the ductwork and that they thought maybe the area was above the master bath ceiling. They said that they would have to saw through the bathroom ceiling, maybe two times if they didnt find the ductwork the first time. I was devastated. Dalton came out and I described where a Spectrum technician said that he had seen some A/C ductwork. After about two minutes, one of the technicians yelled out, We found it! It was repaired in about 15 minutes and the bill was very reasonable. My A/C unit is about 22 years old, so I have Dalton on speed dial, ready to call them back. They are GREAT! Beverly

Wow. Lewis did it again! Came out quickly and found a couple of mistakes with our condenser and with our furnace that the last company left behind. One was a loose wire in the furnace back when we needed heat (imagine- heat!)... and today was where the last guy put our disconnect in upside down. He cleaned everything up and and we agreed on a very reasonable fee for his time.He knows old equipment and has been around a long time. Our furnace is ancient. Other companies have tried to sell us a new one, but he said ours works fine (which it does if it gets power). Doh! Thanks Lewis.
